"Hey, Brother, There's an Endless Road to Rediscover" by TheSilencer has a scene like that. It's not quite the same as the one in the comics, and Jason is not back in time but I think it's similar enough ? (It's in chapter 5)
Omg I'm scared to start reading this story alskdja. Summary and tags? Very interesting. The fact that it hasn't been updated since December? Ahhhhh. Tis the curse of the incomplete fics.

Traffic Character Analysis - Tango
Tango is very quick to act. He is propelled by his emotions and tends to let them take over. Everything that happens to him is shoved down deep inside and builds and builds until he finally bursts. He is deeply motivated by revenge, if someone wrongs him, he will get back at them tenfold. Tango is not afraid of what others think about him, he is happy to speak his mind and put his cards out on the table, just not all his cards. Tango makes a big impact in small ways that ripple and twist into waves. In reality, he holds all the cards and keeps them close to his chest. He has an interesting relationship with life and death. He uses fate as a bargaining chip without a second thought. To him, life is simply a commodity, same as any other. Tango is willing to sacrifice himself if that means that things go according to plan, fulfilling a perceived destiny. But that’s the thing, for someone so intrinsically connected with something so vital, for someone who tries to be everybody’s friend, for someone who’s alliances are ones of deep trust and reliance, Tango always ends up alone. He always takes his last breath away from the warmth of those he cares about. The fact that he is seemingly able to control life, doesn’t mean death will be so kind.

Hello my lovely! After playing at what animal would Mia be over the weekend it’s got me thinking about the other Slow Horses OCs. What animal do you think Seren would be? And, if I can be cheeky for a sneak preview, I’m very curious about your new OC from A Thief’s Gamble! xx
Oh hiiii! Have I been thinking about this since I saw your ask the other day? Of course I have! Thank you so much for asking, lovely 🥰
Seren
Ahhh, I miss Seren! I always pictured her as quite earthy - in touch with nature and completely comfortable with herself. I see her as a brown bear - deeply protective of those she loves, looks soft and snuggly, but is far stronger and tougher than you might think. The spiritual symbolism of the brown bear is that it acts as a guardian and guide, offering wisdom, strength, and protection to those who seek it & I think she totally embodied that for River & David.
Read The Ties that Bind
Tumblr media
You can totally be cheeky! She might remain nameless, so meet...
The Thief
A self-made woman in a man's world, the Thief is a snake. On the surface, she is very calm and collected with an air of mystery and sensuality. She will revert to a quiet, self-protective mode, because, like most snakes, she's quite shy and insecure. The thief is used to a solitary life spent looking for acceptance, so she uses her poisonous wit and quick tongue to help keep her enemies at bay.
Find out more about The Thief's Gamble - coming soon!

This was so much fun! I might have to do Ella next from The Escape Artist, though that one is a fair bit more obvious!

“Mother of the Zodiacs”
Mistress Sinner officially has a reference sheet! This a revamp from an old design for a AU I rather not name!
[LORE HERE:] Sinner is a Goat Peacock, a variant of Hell’s succubi. Her turquoise eyes and species mark help define her peacock traits in contrast to her many goat features (horns, hooves).
Are you allowed to simp for Sinner? Yes, but be aware she isn’t going to be head over heels for you and everything. She will play with your feelings before deciding if you are a candidate to be a lover of hers. And she is not polyamorous, so not many can be her lovers. It is still okay to simp for her, she would just play with your character or sona’s heart for a while at first.
Sinner is the Creator of the Zodiacs, being the biological mother of the 13th, Ophiuchus. She favors Gemini, Cancer, Virgo and Aquarius more than the other Zodiacs because she personally believes they have much potential in their element and become right hands to their respective planets. She also favors her son a lot due to him being an outcast among the Zodiacs and aids him in reaching his true potential in his unknown element.
[DO NOTE: This is MY interpretation of the Zodiacs. Please do not go “I’m (Zodiac) but I’m not like this” or anything along the lines of this. They do not relate to you.]
Sinner does have an official simp card! Come to my DMs to claim one! Thank you for looking at my art! Want to see more? Go to my Carrd!

I'm typing up some responses to these asks, and this sounds crazy, but man, I only just realized how utterly in love I am with Yelan's trailer.
I'll make a post where I'll be dissecting her trailer like I did Kafka's, but it really hit me tonight how even in the first 10 seconds, they really emphasize this 'noir' element that it has. Now for anyone who's unfamiliar, 'noir' is often used in a film noir concept, which is a genre of film that usually involves crime, mystery and a lot of moral ambiguity; and its presentation is also quite specific, often defaulting to B/W or de-saturated visuals in bleak or low lighting, often in weather and hours of the day that only add to the setting and mood respectively. Along with this, because it emerged during the 1940s and 1950s, it goes hand in hand with a lot of smokey, smooth jazz music, as that was the era when that peaked.
All of these things are present in Yelan's trailer. Immediately when you load in, you see Liyue Harbor in the background but it's not during the hours during which it's bright or at its most beautiful, no, it's bleak, grim and it's raining, and immediately we hear a slow piano kicking it. And when we zoom in on her and the man that she's talking to, they're momentarily out of focus and we really see the stark contrast of the warmth of the lights and the street that they're standing in while there's something close to a downpour. And god, the reveal of her face, or more specifically, her eyes, is so incredibly delayed that it immediately adds a sense of mystery, but more so, of intrigue, something so significant to her character. But to return to the weather for a second; Genshin is usually so bright and rain isn't exactly the most common— that the rain in this, and the mood it creates, really stands out to me. Instead of the bright colors that we're always faced with, we instead see very desaturated colors which bring it closer to that B/W feeling that is so inherently and intrinsically tied to the 'noir' genre. And the music, ugh, and it continues, it literally becomes so jazzy, none of this can be a coincidence, but now I'm even more hooked to her character. Ugh. It's literally what I said in my NY'E' post, every time I think I don't get more crumbs, I either am given more or I re-watch things and have all these new revelations. Hoyo, this has got to be a strategic and very intended decision, it's driving me crazy.
Yelan started as a character I wanted to pull for game-play purposes (was told not to, and then I learned she's pretty much a must pull), and then finally got, to finally playing through Perilous Trail and going 'uh oh', to then still wondering sometimes why I love her as much as I do. And then I realize this stuff, and everything makes sense and I love her even more.

♡˗ˏ✎*ೃ˚ : SAVE IN HIS ARMS : :;
╰┈➤ ❝ [PAIRING] ❞ Hwang In-ho x F!Reader
・❥・GENRE: Fluff and slight angst?
˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆FANDOM: Squid Game
ੈ✩‧₊˚ WARNINGS: None!
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥SUMMARY: In the chaos of the third game, you were trampled and left helpless—until In-ho found you. Carrying you to safety, he calmed your panic, proving you weren’t alone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
YOU’D THOUGHT THE FIRST GAME WAS BAD—Red Light, Green Light with its chilling, mechanical doll and the blood-curdling sound of gunshots that had followed anyone who dared to move at the wrong time. The sight of so many bodies dropping like flies was forever burned into your memory. But you had made it through, sticking close to In-ho and a few other players who seemed capable of keeping their cool under pressure.
The second game, Six Legs, had pushed you even closer to the edge. Six people tied together by the ankles, forced to move as one cohesive unit while completing a series of absurd mini-games. The first challenge involved a game of Ddakji, followed by Flying stone, Gong-gi, Spinning top and at last Jegi. Every challenge was absolutely nerve wracking. Every stumble risked pulling the entire group down.
“Stop panicking,” In-ho had said sharply when it was your turn to play Gong-gi. His tone was firm but not unkind, and his steady grip on your arm had kept you from collapsing altogether.
“I’m trying,” you’d whispered, your voice barely audible over the yelling of other groups.
“You’ll be fine,” he had replied, glancing at you with those piercing eyes. “Just focus on me.”
It was his calm presence that had carried you through. Somehow, your group had made it out alive, but not without leaving a part of your sanity behind.
Now, the third game was underway, and the tension was unbearable.
The platform beneath your feet spun relentlessly, the dizzying motion making it hard to stay upright. The eerie song blaring over the speakers didn’t help; its cheerful notes felt like a cruel joke, mocking your desperation.
You clung to the rail for balance, your eyes scanning the crowd for In-ho. He stood a few feet away, his tall, composed frame unshaken by the platform’s motion. Gi-hun, Jung-bea, and Dea-ho were close by, the four of them keeping together in a loose cluster. You tried to move toward them, but the spinning platform made every step feel like a gamble.
Finally, the music stopped.
The platform jolted to a halt, nearly sending you to your knees. The sudden silence was deafening, broken only by the sound of heavy breathing and shuffling feet.
“Two,” the woman’s voice announced over the speakers, detached and emotionless.
For a moment, there was silence as the words registered. Then chaos erupted. Players screamed, shoving and clawing at one another in their desperation to find a partner.
You stumbled forward, trying to push your way through the throng of bodies. “In-ho!” you called out, your voice trembling with panic.
Through the chaos, you caught a glimpse of him, his sharp gaze scanning the crowd. He was moving toward you, his path deliberate, but the surging mass of players made it nearly impossible to reach him.
“Time is running out. Please form your groups,” the woman’s voice droned on, unbothered by the chaos.
Someone slammed into you from behind, sending you sprawling to the ground. Your palms scraped against the rough surface of the platform, and a sharp pain shot through your ankle as someone stepped on it in their frantic rush.
You cried out, clutching your leg as tears blurred your vision. The crowd swirled around you, an unrelenting tide of fear and desperation.
Just as despair began to set in, a hand grabbed yours—strong and familiar.
“In-ho,” you gasped, relief flooding through you as he pulled you upright.
His face was etched with determination, his dark eyes scanning you quickly. “Can you stand?” he asked, his voice low but urgent.
“I—I don’t think so,” you stammered, clutching your throbbing ankle. “I can’t run.”
He didn’t hesitate. Without another word, he scooped you into his arms, holding you against his chest as though you weighed nothing. “Hold on,” he said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Your arms wrapped around his neck as he carried you through the chaos. The timer on the wall ticked down mercilessly, but In-ho moved with precision, weaving through the panicked players with ease.
“In-ho, what about the others?” you asked, your voice trembling.
“They’ll manage,” he replied curtly. His focus was entirely on you, his grip on you steady despite the chaos around him. “Right now, I’m getting you to safety.”
The sound of footsteps and shouting grew louder as players scrambled to find rooms, but In-ho didn’t falter. He pushed through the crowd, heading for an empty room just as the timer reached zero.
The door slammed shut behind you, sealing you off from the madness outside. The sound of gunshots echoed through the arena, each one sending a fresh wave of terror through you.
In-ho set you down gently on the floor, his hands lingering on your arms as he crouched in front of you. “Are you hurt anywhere else?” he asked, his voice softer now.
You shook your head, but the tears wouldn’t stop. “I almost died,” you whispered, your voice breaking.
“But you didn’t,” he said firmly. His hands cupped your face, his touch grounding you. “You’re safe now.”
The weight of his words brought a fresh wave of tears, and you buried your face in your hands, your shoulders shaking as you sobbed.
“I can’t do this,” you choked out. “I can’t—”
“Hey,” In-ho interrupted, his voice calm but commanding. He gently pulled your hands away from your face, forcing you to meet his gaze. “Look at me. Breathe.”
“I—I can’t,” you stammered, your chest heaving.
“Yes, you can,” he said firmly. He took one of your hands and pressed it against his chest. “Feel that? Match your breathing to mine.”
You closed your eyes, focusing on the steady thrum of his heartbeat beneath your palm. Slowly, your breaths began to sync with his, the tightness in your chest easing bit by bit.
“There you go,” he murmured, his thumb brushing away the tears on your cheek. “You’re okay. I’ve got you.”
You nodded weakly, your tears slowing as his presence calmed you. “Thank you,” you whispered, your voice barely audible.
In-ho’s expression softened, and for a moment, the hardness in his eyes gave way to something warmer. “You don’t need to thank me,” he said quietly. “I told you—I won’t let anything happen to you.”
For the first time since the games began, you felt a glimmer of hope. In his arms, amidst the terror of the arena, you felt something you hadn’t dared to feel in days: safe.

(A/N) First Squid game fanfic! While watching season 2 i totally fell in love with In-ho (let’s forget the fact that he’s the frontman) so of course i needed to write a short oneshot of him. Feel free to drop requests in my inbox!

c!Tommy phrasing the end of the dream smp as "when everyone went away" and clarifying that the nukes weren't canon is so interesting to me. Everyone, minus perhaps c!Jack and c!Tubbo just.. Went away. They moved on. The Syndicate made their way to the end with c!Kristin, c!Ranboo left with Michael to the nether, Jack.... Got into gambling, I guess. Everyone, for some reason or another, left the place behind.
And they left Tommy with it.
Of course, Tommy left too, but he's the only one who comes back to l'manberg. Comes back to the greater dsmp in general. It's as though he could never truly sever his ties with it. He says he's almost happy. And I think that's because he can never truly move on from it all. And I don't think its a coincidence that Tubbo is the only other one who's mentioned to still be kicking around the place. Tubbo and Tommy are inexorably tied to L'manberg. They're the only ones alive that have that connection to it.
Tubbo was around for the longest in L'manberg. Longer than its creator. He was there for the war, for the schlatt administration, for new l'manberg, and for its final demise. He couldn't leave it behind once and for all because so much of his life was spent there.
Tommy is part of L'manberg. L'manberg was created in his visage, it was an extension of him. He couldn't leave it behind once and for all because it was so much of his life. The idea of L'manberg persisted throughout all of his life. Even in exile, it was the only thing keeping him going.
They're the only ones who can't move on. Not fully. They're trying. They're almost happy. But they can't leave it all behind. I've seen a lot of people calling this a c!Tommy happy ending, but really, it was Almost Happy.
And I think one day he can be Happy. But we won't see it. We got our closure, but he hasn't. Not yet.
