Good evening, my good people... SOOO I do have to work tomorrow for Christmas Eve, I fear... 😔 but thankfully the job will be closed on the actual day, Wednesday!! Though I'll most likely be busy with family, anyway... but I will try my best to send asks out to you guys! From Shuichi and from my Kaede, hehe.

"Haaagh, no kidding. Can't handle the heat in the summer, and get cold so easily in the winter... I really should, huh." He sighs...this is why autumn and spring will always be his favorite seasons. Maybe he should exercise more so he won't be so easily suspectable to the harsher temperatures...

Then when Shuichi sees Naoki head over to the teleporter on Chihiro's desk, he tilts his head, wondering if he's about to head off somewhere, until he tells him they're going to his castle's hot springs. "! The springs in the Hall of Chaos...?"

He looked surprised....but a good kind; he likes hot springs! Especially with how rare it was for him to really go to any bathhouses or inns to enjoy one. All the moreso during winter like this. And using a demon king's, no less: that definitely sounds like it'd be an otherworldly experience... plus he's right: if Shuichi got sick and can't help them out, especially Chihiro, then that's no good!

"S...S-Sure!! That does sound nice...and right, I'd hate to get sick on you guys.... alright, be right back-!" He puts up the last few groceries before heading off to his dorm room. Then minutes later, he's back with a small duffel bag of clothes and towels. "Okay, ready to go."

While Naoki could easily tough out the human weather-- Shuichi could not. Why the hell did he even go grocery shopping for Chihiro anyway? Wasn't that airhead's job to do his own errands? Whatever, what matters is-- He knows Chihiro can't go around without his walking Spyglass. Demons in this universe were totally different from his.

"Humans are pretty fragile beings-- You're no exception. You need to bulk up to get some sorta resistance."

Naoki walks over to the teleporter on Chihiro's desk.

"Go get some clothes-- You're comin' to the Hall of Chaos's spring before you get sick. We can't have you gettin' sick on us."

"....Yes, g-good morning to you, too, Senpai." At this point, he wonders if her hissing at him is her way of greeting him.... but by now, Shuichi was used to it, so he didn't really mind, funny as that sounds.

"Um. Are you heading to the library? I was making my way there, too... d..do you want to head there, together?" Not that he expects a direct answer even if she doesn't mind, but if she won't look like she wants to scare him away, then that'll be a 'yes' in his book...!

"Oh!! I-Iako...!" There's a slight wheeze in his tone from how tight she's clinging onto him. But Shuichi is returning the hug just a sightly seconds later, giving a small smile as he rubs her back. "H-Hey there, you... missed me? I missed you, too... I guess life really got busy for the both of us, h-huh...."

Iako with her matches and Shuichi with his cases... so the two hadn't been able to see each other in quite a while. He was really hoping he could, especially before the holidays. If he wouldn't have been able to spend Christmas Eve with her, he would've been sad...

"How...have you been? I'm sure you've been working hard out there like you always do. Hopefully they'll let you take a break from fighting for a while, since... I've been hoping to be able to spend the holidays with you. That, and just... really happy to see you again. H-Hehehe...." Even in his tone alone, made it evident how much he really is happy.. giving her a tight squeeze in the hold and not wanting to let go, anytime soon..

Was just diagnosed with “need to bite you” disorder. Yeah sorry it’s terminal. The only cure is biting you. C’mere.

"You think so....?" He's not sure if she's actually serious about that, but it was an undeniable fact that him trying her hot cocoa cookies did lead to this.. So he did feel lucky, all things considered.

"Y-You would??" If she was possibly being serious, then Shuichi wouldn't say no to that! She was spoiling him an awful lot.... "Th-Thank you, that would be great. I'm sure I'll love them."

Though at her threat, his face pales a bit. Something tells him she's not entirely joking about that... "I-I really won't tell anyone, I promise!! I mean, you were willing to even share this secret with me, so respecting that is the least I can do."

"Clearly this was fate at work! You had to try my hot cocoa cookies so that I could share with you the amazing secret of upcoming, delicious treats! If you weren't like, a total rando or something," she taps her chin twice, punctuating her long pause.

"I'd totally like, let you try it early." Was she being serious, or just rubbing in the fact that he probably wouldn't get so lucky twice. Maybe it was a bit of both. Nothing like disappointment to cause a little pain.

"You'd better not! Because they like, totally won't find the body if you do!" Not an empty threat, either. If nothing else, this girl could be dangerous if she really wanted to.

He looks grouchy. It's most likely because the committee was working him to the bone before the holidays - where he was supposed to have a break!

"Shuichi-kun... If I have to step foot in that lab again-- I'm killing everyone."

Who can really say if he is being serious. But one thing is for sure. He is is pretty pissed.

Shuichi felt so bad for Izuru... that accursed committee always loves to overwork him, but it seems like they were working him harder than usual, and right before the holidays! Izuru should be relaxing, but of course, that's not what those old men would want. Would it kill them to give this poor guy an actual vacation, just for once...

"Ahhh...." He's sure Izuru didn't mean that literally, but at this point, who could blame him? With how much they're working him and robbing him of his days off, he'd have every right to want to tear them all apart! But still, he didn't like seeing Izuru look so angry... and so, he made him a little something to hope it will help. Orange cinnamon rolls and espresso hot chocolate..

"I understand.... it's not fair at all to you, Izuru. You deserve a break..." A really long one, for everything he has to put up with. How Shuichi wished he had any kind of ability to force them to stop overworking Izuru like this... but he's happy he can at least be here for him and lend him a shoulder to vent out his frustrations like this.. "This week are the holidays... they have to give you your break starting tomorrow, right? They'd better... you always work so hard, you deserve it! Especially with how much they like to tug you around like this... but for now, try not to think about them while you're here. To help yourself calm down so you don't get a bad migraine..."

He slowly rubs his back. As much as he can, he was going to help- no, make Izuru try to relax right now. Thinking about those stupid old men won't help anything. He wants to be here for him... "Let's enjoy these sweets together and help you unwind. I hope you'll enjoy them.." And gives him a small smile. The cinnamon rolls, he hopes he especially likes: making things for Izuru to enjoy, was always fun..

The two haven't even stepped into the ice rink yet... but if there was one thing Shuichi was not good at, it was ice skating; or at least, probably wouldn't be as bad if he didn't panic so much, so easily...

"B-But I'll try not to fall on my butt!! I-I hope!!! I will definitely repay you for being willing to do this with me and help me try to skate better... I-I'm ready to step onto the rink when you are!"

Hey, Shuichi. What do you think of criminal Ultimates like Syo, Kokichi and Mondo? Do you think they are valid or do you see them as a rival? Do you respect them as a fellow Ultimate or do you just see them as a criminal?

"What do I think of them? Well, to start... no, I don't see them as "just" criminals. Maybe I should be expected to, since I am a detective, but... I don't like the thought of looking down on people, just because they may happen to do unlawful or immoral things. While I... can't say much about Syo-san, since I've never really interacted with her much, personally.. I don't think she's truly a monster; she's still Touko-senpai in the end, after all. Mondo-senpai is a commendable leader of his gang; I doubt his members would respect him like they do if he acted like some mindless thug. and Kokichi-kun...even if he often acts like....you know."

He makes a face before he continues. "... He's the Ultimate Supreme Leader for a reason. Which has to mean he does lead his organization well. So, yes: I do respect them as fellow Ultimates. Just like everyone else...they're more than just their title."

"N-No, you don't...." He feels like one, though.... Which is why he even dared to ask him that! Naoki was probably the reason the room felt so warm to begin with... man it must feel good to never have to worry about freezing during the harsher temperatures like this...

"I-I'm sorry, that, I cannot help. Getting a bucket anytime sooner is practically impossible...so I'm afraid you will have to wait until then, Naoki-kun. Unless you want, um, regular fried chicken or something, but I know that's not the same.."

He was afraid that having to wait was going to make Naoki refuse to help his hands get warm, but at least he tried.. Though a warm bath didn't sound so bad, either. Anything to help prevent him from possibly catching a cold! "Oh! A warm bath would be nice. I didn't even think about that... O-Okay. Thank you, anyway. Ah, but I'll put Chihiro-kun's stuff away first, though, so it won't just sit out." He'll just let the room temperature warm his hands enough so he can do that first, though.

"Hah? Do I look like a space heater to you?"

Oh, the suggestion just irked him. He came to the overworld Tokyo to relax and not do what he was told! Yeah, sure.... The King of Chaos was practically a walking heater. Even just stepping outside wouldn't affect him. If he doesn't suppress his demonic aura, Naoki could melt an entire snow area just by going outside. Hence why he was inside Chihiro's dorm most of the time-- Blending in with humans was an inconvenience.... A very minor one. But still pretty annoying.

"'Sides... If you do gimme that fried chicken, I'd have to wait for two weeks! I ain't waitin' two weeks!"

Konbini fried chicken would satisfy his craving for cheap, fast, and fried food goodness for now. Even if the King desperately wants to eat an entire bucket himself---- Listen, all he does is eat other demons, drink up magatsuhi, and eat demonic parasites. It's been a while since had some!

"Just take a warm bath before ya catch a cold."

"Thank you...! Yes, I though it would be nice if we did something tonight. I promise we will have a great time together." He links his arm with hers when she pulls him closer against her, giving her cheek a soft kiss.

"Hehe... yes. I really did.... It's why I love visiting the Christmas market every year when I can. Even just looking around is always so fun! Whenever we would buy hot chocolate, we'd get it in those souvenir cups that you can keep. I can't wait to see what this year's cup will look like.. I promised them I'll buy a cup, hehe; and any other nice little gifts we may see. Ah, and of course if there's anything that catches your eye, Elise, I will get it for you, too!"

"Awww what a sweet man you are Shuichi.Of course i will go with you and besides staying inside all day is quite boring if i'm being honest with you so let's go!"

She would put on her fluffy coat before grabbing the young man by his arm as she pulled him towards her frame before speaking once more.

"I did not know that little story of yours Shushi!It sounds like you had a great time with members of your family."
