how to return home by JBS_Forever
Flash Thompson is a good person, but not a great one, so when Peter Parker accidentally gets drunk at his house party, all he can do is say, “Shit.”
Or: the one where Flash is just trying to be a decent person and get a drunk Peter home. Peter, on the other hand, has different plans.

The headline reads:
STEAMY SEX TAPE BETWEEN MAGNETO AND PROFESSOR X LEAKED!
“All right,” Charles says. “I wouldn’t call it steamy, you know, that’s an exaggeration.”
“That is seriously not the point, Professor,” Jean answers.
(A sex tape is leaked. PR crisis ensues).
DC
two vigilantes carry a cake across gotham by JBS_Forever
Jason's had a nagging suspicion that Bruce keeps stalker-esque levels of tabs on all the places he’s lived, so when Tim Drake shows up at his apartment door, it takes only a half second for Jason to level his gun directly at Tim's stupid face and to say, bored, “Give me one reason not to shoot you.”
Honestly, he knew Bruce had a problem, but sending a bat to his doorstep? This is just ridiculous.
Or: in a scheming attempt to make them bond, Bruce forces Jason and Tim on what should be a simple quest: retrieve Alfred’s birthday cake from across town and make it back before the party.
But this is Gotham. And nothing is ever simple in Gotham.

Fortunately or unfortunately, Clark Kent is kind of used to getting phone calls about his too-curious-for-her-own-good wife being held hostage somewhere. Superman usually handles it.
Conner Kent gets a phone call meant for Clark Kent, who is Superman, who is currently in space. Uh.... Have no fear, Superboy is here!

Tim was feeling touch-starved. Usually he can live with the absolute minimum of psychical contact but today was diffrent.
He was cleaning his parent's artifact collection as was his chore since they didn't trust Mrs. Mac to not damage or steal something. But when he touched a ancient looking vase that might have been from Rome a bright light overtook him.
Tim blinked and everything was the same.
As he was running on pretty low amounts of sleep by this point(patrol was very tiresome today as there was an Arkham breakout) he decided that since he didn't seem to be dying he will check it out tomarow.
While changing into his pyjamas Tim finds something that definitly wasn't there before....
A cunt!
Well, at least he knows what the vase did.
As Tim is but a teenage boy who only recived The Talk from the internet, he decides that swapping genitalias is not that much of a change and decides to not mention it to Bruce, also he's embarassed to talk about it with a man he idolises.
Next time on patrol before heading out Bruce asks Tim where are his scent blockers.
...The what???
Tim, not wanting to disappoint Batman and admit he has absolutly no idea what he is talking about, says he forgot them and will run to get them.
Of course what he actually does is look up what even is that because he geniuenly has no idea.
That is how Tim figures out he dimension traveled.
But as he doesn't want to burden Bruce anymore when some Rogues are still out in the open, Tim decides to tell him after everything is taken care of.
He forgets.
It dosen't help that the world isn't that diffrent from his previous one. Aside from the diffrent genitalia and the scent blockers he has to slap on his neck before every patrol.
Until Tim wakes up one day with the strange feeling of being empty and lonely. He wants an Alpha! He wants his Pack!
But Tim being Tim means that after a quick serach that confirms that he is not dying nor even close to it, just in heat, he decides that he is more man than animal and therefore should not listen to instincts.
Which is fine and dandy until Dick visits the Drake manor because it was time for their scheduled hang out and Tim wasn't there.
So what does Alpha!Dick do when smelling the scent of a desprete Omega in heat who is also his unofficialy adopted younger brother?
Makes sure his heat is enjoyable, of course :)
No ulterior motives here, just a big brother helping his baby bro :)
After the heat Tim finally decides to make some progress in going back to his dimension, alone becaouse he doesn't want this dimension's Dick to find out he didn't fuck his own brother but an alternative version of him.
Progress is made and Tim discovers that Oh No! This is not an alternative dimension but my old one that has been irrevarsibly changed due to my own selfish desires!
Guess he just has to deal with it and not tell anyone because what if they get mad? :(
This means that spending heats and ruts with Dick becomes a thing.
Bruce is not amused when he finds out, stating that they are both not in Tim's pack and therefore should not be spending heat with him.
Then Jason joins the fray, Janet and Jack Drake die for real and Tim ends up being adopted by Bruce.
Tim, after hours of resarching, thinks he knows the Omegaverse customs. But the thing is people on the internet don't say things they think are obvious.
Which means that Tim dosen't realize he's being courted until Dick cheerfully announces that they are together to his friends.
tim waking up with a cunt and then just deciding 'this is fine' is so absolutely HIM!!! the way he'd keep quiet on the basis of 'well you never asked' and would try to solve thinkgs himself to not bother anyone are just so good because that is exactly how he is 😂!!!

So....*bludgeons you with borderline is omegaverse lite stick* outside of ASOHverse, what do you think the batfam's dynamics are? This is ignoring ships and ship potential, just if you were writing a fict about platonic or pack dynamics heavy batfam, what would you put their various dynamics as?
Oh gosh, okay, platonic batfamily...
Bruce - I really like him either as an alpha or an omega, no in between needed. He's so intense and territorial and I think that lends itself to both ends of the dynamics spectrum. He's also a natural born leader, as well as a very patient teacher. Either way, platonic a/b/o fics with him should lean more into those characteristics and less into the negative stereotypes (mean pack alpha, overly emotional omega, etc)
Dick - I like him as a very relaxed alpha or a strong and determined beta. He's the glue in so many versions of a Batfamily, not just packs. He needs to be good at compromising, and not devolve into any posturing that alphas might be doing in the pack. Dick's greatest strengths really lie in his emotional stability and maturity. I don't love when people automatically make him an omega because of that.
Jason - alpha. It really fits his nature to be more headstrong and brash outwardly, stereotypical alpha characteristics that are sometimes true. It also makes sense for his relationship with Bruce as the second Robin -- he'd butt heads with alpha OR omega Bruce as the first alpha in the pack if Dick was a beta. I love writing him as an omega though, as you know.
Tim - he's an interesting one. I really think he could be any dynamic, though I would generally lean more towards alpha or beta rather than omega. I read a fic recently with alpha Tim and omega Kon and it made me realize how frequently we just make him an omega and call it a day. I think a more restrained, calculating alpha makes the most sense to me. AND that means he can butt heads with Damian...
Damian - alpha. He wants to play at being pack alpha and this works even if Bruce is an alpha. Jason gets irritated but (wisely) thinks he's above a pup. Tim and Damian grate on each other instead. Damian, because he doesn't like a rival alpha's claim on Bruce (esp if he's omega) or perceived attempts to destabilize Bruce's pack (if he's an alpha). Tim doesn't like Damian because, yeah, it's like a 12 year old alpha challenging you out of the blue for a spot in the pack you've fought hard for. Easy friction. Also a great opportunity to write them teaming up and putting those discordant instincts to good use together. (Jason, Tim, and Damian all being alphas makes sense if Dick is the beta glue, Alfred is beta glue, and Bruce is the pack alpha/omega trying to keep everyone sane).
Cass - alpha or beta. I actually really like when people write her as an alpha people mistake for a beta. I know this gives Bruce a whole pack of alphas at the end of the day, but it kind of makes sense for vigilante work? Or at least it does in my head.
Steph - beta. She's Dick's backup on pack dynamics and a good balance to alpha Tim and Damian. She's more vicious than Dick and takes no shit. She butts head with Bruce more than any alpha, save Jason. She and Jason bond over this. Jason doesn't get tense around her because she's not an alpha or omega.
Alfred - beta. Truly the ultimate caregiver and healer. He is all of the beta stereotypes in one package. He's less interested in soothing Bruce's emotions than Dick is, though. He's tough love for Bruce's michegas, whether it's alpha or omega.
Duke - omega, hot take. Confident, quietly stepping into the pack dynamics and is welcomed almost instantly, and not just because he's omega. He has an entire pack of alphas behind him but doesn't rely on them for anything if he can do it himself. He bonds well with omega Bruce in my mind -- they have specialized training not just for his powers, but for those instincts no one else in the pack really has. People are drawn to him (like when he just started out gathering kids) because he embodies the omegan quality of defending the territory/pack.

// Ra'sTim, All/Tim, omegaverse:
.
Tim didn't feel anything when looking at his baby. That had to be wrong, right?
Postpartum depression, as Leslie had called it, was quite frequent in omegas, such that the number of omegas who suffered it was somehow higher than the beta's.
But Tim's feelings had started way before giving birth to his pup. It had started the exact moment Leslie told him he was pregnant (which alpha of the Wayne pack was the father didn't matter). Tim had felt nothing but anger and sickness during his pregnancy.
In biological terms, Tim had gone feral.
They had needed to keep the baby away from Tim for weeks, Tim gone into a primitive instinct that was dangerous to the baby. Even nowadays there were still so many cases of feral omegas who -
The baby had been taken away. It had been for everyone's own good. Now...
Tim is taking five different types of meds, reading motherhood books, and trying to smile at the baby. It doesn't work, and Tim knows it won't work. Janet had suffered the same, perhaps a curse of their bloodline intended to end them.
It's not surprising that Ra's visits.
It's an early night, all bats outside in patrol (a privilege Tim lost ever since his pack decided he was to be a mother), Alfred busy in the kitchen. Of course Ra's would appear, that arrogant smile of his being the closest thing to bring a feeling to Tim's body.
It's - nothing.
As always, Ra's has been waiting in the shadows, perhaps even amused at the bats' game. Tim can tell that Ra's is satisfied, probably even overjoyed at his past words becoming true.
Fourteen months ago, Ra's and Tim had seen each other for the last time. And Ra's had laughed cruelly and coldly, saying that Tim wouldn't find happiness in that ridiculous pack of his nor in playing mother for them. But Tim was a bat, and he couldn't just run away with a villain. So, he had pretended not to listen.
Now they are here, with Ra's chuckling at the view of Tim's failed motherhood.
"I could fix this," Ra's proposes, a familiar warm hand cupping Tim's face, managing to make the omega feel, "If you come with me."
Tim looks at the baby he-feels-nothing-for sleeping peacefully. They don't even know their mother hates them.
"... Okay," Tim gives up. After all, he hasn't been a real mother. At least as an orphan the baby will hate Tim less.
"Good," Ra's purrs, carrying Tim off the floor, walking to the balcony & jumping away from the manor.
Tim knows it's wrong. But he can't bring himself to care.

A Quiet Night AU- A DC/ A Quiet Place fusion thought Long Post
Sooooo I was watching A Quiet Place (which I love deeply, it was such a DIFFERENT handle on horror movies, watching that in a theater was a RIDE) and I am neck deep in DC and had t h o u g h t s. Please keep in mind that I have only fandom knowledge of DC and am playing with the death angels (name of the Quiet Place creatures) make up for this au:
To Start:
AU is an AOB verse, cause I wanted to play with what a situation like this would do to instincts and packs and I need everyone to do the thing we do with comics where we apply “Comic Book Logic” to why these death angels succeed in invading the Earth. Why the metas and supers didn’t get them out, because this verse would be taking place AFTER the world has been invaded, and the creatures have wiped out QUITE a large chunk of Earth’s population. Read the VERY LONG ramble about this verse under the cut.
We have Alphas Jay and Cass, Omegas Tim and Dick, Damian is unpresented but approaching the time he would present properly, and he’s an Alpha-to-be. Alfred, Steph and Duke are Betas.
The Death Angels: For those not in the know, they are large, kind of spider-like in movements, VERY fast, and fully armored. The armor stands up to bullets and knives, and explosions can toss them but don’t seem to do damage. They’re entirely blind, have claws and a mouth full of sharp teeth and their hearing is VERY sharp. Their head opens to expose soft insides that work like a super-ear, tracking sound, and that’s really the only vulnerable spot, and they can’t swim. That’s all canon to their verse. I’m playing with them a little, so that the planet they come from is laced so deeply with kryptonite they’ve adapted to sort of work on supers, as in they can’t use their powers on them. I’m upping that armor to be stronger than standard canon, as we do have metas running around and I want them to really only be vulnerable while hunting and exposing the ear to hunt.
It means to kill them, you have to get close enough to be heard, to be HUNTED. You have to be clever. Usually with some kind of blade, as most other things (especially guns) are too loud, and even if it works it brings the hundreds of death angels in the area, every single one that heard it, your way and then your fucked. On top of all of that- if they close the plates of armor that shield their ‘ear’ bullets don’t penetrate it, and blades skitter off. You have to get to that soft unshielded ear to take them out. The hearing was picked up real quick by the Bats and they tried to use that.
On technicality, very high pitched feedback sounds can fuck with their hearing, and cause them pain, usually making he plates that cover the ear kind of…lock up? And then they stagger around, can’t track people or what’s around them, and the ‘ear’ stays exposed cause the plates of armor are locked in an open position, even if they’re jerking around like animatronics move trying to make the sound make sense and stop hurting.
I’m messing with that cause I want to make this more difficult lol. If you manage to mess with the main method of hearing, the death angels are evolved to slam the armor plating that covers their ‘ear’ closed, block out the sound, and shift to a low clicking-purr sound that vibrates their body and acts as a makeshift sonar type ability over the kind of echolocation they’d been using, reading the vibrations of it through their legs and basically triangulating prey and obstacles around them and it makes them more dangerous because it’s a response to being hurt and they do NOT appreciate it.
In canon rain/waterfalls can hide you, if you keep the sound level under the sound of the water. I’m going to keep that, saying the rain hitting the ground hard enough can sort of hide people from that sonar too, if you move carefully. Caves are also a good place to hide- provided the death angels don't get inside. Which means the Bat-Cave is a kind of ‘safe’ space, far enough underground they can speak softly, and the equipment inside is safe to run, so long as they are careful with the clock-entrance.
I babbled to wintersnight (@iphoenixrising) for a good while about this AU (@north-peach doesn’t like horror, she thinks the protags are all stupid and it drives her nuts so she missed this ramble lol) but Winter followed my logic and encouraged me to actually post this somewhere lol
Leading into the Next Important Thing:
Cities are death traps. All that confined space and the noise of it? The death angels came in like moths to a flame. Large groups of moving people trying to evacuate? Too much noise. Death angels stampede in and hit the group like a pack of wolves cornering prey.
Gotham was one city of many that hit hard and fast. The Bats are good at what they do, but they’re not omniscient no matter what anyone thinks. It was so fast.
This verse would be covering the AFTER of the invasion of the death angels, AFTER they’ve swarmed the world, after so many have died. This verse would be the ‘post-apocalypse’ survival AFTER.
Zeta-tubes are technically usable to get them out, and up to the Watchtower, but the sound of them activating is loud enough to pull the death angels, and the tube gets destroyed in their hunt for the sound. This also works in reverse- if you use them to come back down, the creatures will swarm towards whoever arrived, and the tubes still end up getting destroyed.
Coming back to the AOB concept:
I love how all of what’s happening opens the chance to play with their instincts and protective territorial instincts. The urge to den down in a defensive position. To patrol their chunk of space, keep their pack alive and safe
To fight.
They were all scattered when the invasion happened, so they have to work their way back to the cave by foot, cars are too loud, and their grapleguns make enough sound to also be unusable when firing as well as anchoring down. They can’t open the hidden entrances for vehicles, it’s too loud and opens a way straight in, so they have to find other ways in. If they can get into the manor, the clock would be an option, it opens smooth and quiet, but the trade off is risking any sounds inside the cave traveling up the stairs and getting the location found.
So most of the Bats running around Gotham are going to sneak into the hidden natural entrances into the cave systems and navigate back to the cave. Defenses and redirects are going to be set up to prevent death angels from getting in.
Which leads to my favorite part of this AU:
How this situation combines with AOB instincts in the Bats specifically.
How clever the Bats are.
I want to play with that. Wanna address how smart they are, their instincts going absolutely feral-survival-mode wild in this kind of life-or-death situation, with threats actually actively hunting them, zero chance of reasoning with them.
Wanna address the genetic memory of packs before cities were made being drawn out. Wanna look at how packs actually hunt when those instincts are stirred and it’s life-or-death, how the Bats work together. When an Alpha, Omega or Beta is pushed to the brink, pushed to feral, their pack, their territory all threated, all in actual danger by something that can and will hunt them back. I want to see their senses cranked up and used to track death angels down, hunt and kill them.
How terrifying it probably is to go into rut or heat in this kind of situation. Being hazy and vulnerable, instinct driven, unable to focus well, in a situation like this one. How, once the situation has settled correctly into their psyche and bones, it might change. The mess that is a presentation heat or rut in this kind of hell, because Damian is within the age of when it happens (between 13-16 is average in my head, this AU places Damian at 15 in my head, so he’s due for it). What it does to the pack of the person in heat or rut for them to be so vulnerable while something like this is happening.
The protective pup-instincts triggered by an unpresented Damian. What the urge to shield the pack, keep it alive and safe, and protect pups might look like when combined with the hero-vigilante instincts in them, and finding pups who survived the invasion, but are abandoned or the last of their packs, with no one and nothing left. What the drive to protect and expand their packs, keep them alive and thriving might look like.
The territorial instincts playing out, in a hunted/hunting situation with- as Winter put it- “The backdrop of Gotham and how many traps they'd set since this is their territory and they know every rusty fire escape, crumbling Bailbondsmen, and gargoyle in this entire city.”
She understood where I was going with it lol. I adore how well they’d know Gotham, and exploring how that knowledge would play out in setting up traps and triggerable distractions for the death angels, to help in hunting and killing them. How it’d be fed by those territorial instincts of their city being invaded, their people killed, and their pack in so much danger.
On top of all of that, I also like exploring how the pack leader (Omega Bruce) vs pack alpha (Jason) would react in a situation like this, and the give-and-take of compromise and keeping their pack safe in such a situation.
I imagine, when all this starts happening, the Bats are collectively scattered all over Gotham. When it happens, they try fighting first, but the creatures are fast and deadly. They figure out sound being what they use to track quickly, that they need to be quiet, and they’re trying to save who they can but… in a city, always moving, always going, full of crime and all the screams with only so few Bats and everywhere ELSE having the same issues at the same time?
They get forced to retreat and fallback. None of them are sure where the others are, who’s in active danger, they can’t talk to each other over comms, can’t make any sound too loud.
They just have to be dead quiet and make their way to the cave on foot, make jumps that they know they can land silently on buildings, watch for the death angels when they move, being so so very careful. Unable to check in and see if their packmates are alive or not. Bonds blocked on the job, to not distract their pack, and having to KEEP them that way, while headed for the cave, to not distract each other coming home.
Oracle being in the Clocktower- frantically shutting down the clock so it doesn’t ring over the city and bring the creatures to her, shutting down any alarms or alerts that could be too loud from her equipment. Sending the news all over Gotham any way she can, as silent as she can, on how the creatures work, and how the survivors can use that knowledge to STAY alive.
Being scared as she watches trackers, and prays, terrified any time they’re still too long that they may be hurt or dying. Praying she doesn’t see the trackers start moving a vehicle speeds, cause it means they’re going to get chased down by creatures OR a creature has grabbed them and soon the alerts for vitals will scream at her.
Dick shows up at her tower to get her out with Damian on his heels, so they can get her to the cave, because a city destroyed by invasion is not really wheelchair accessible, much less getting all the way over to the cave silently while trying to get through the rubble.
Now for my favorite boy:
Tim. Tim in this AU has lost his pack bonds while on Brucequest. He hasn’t accepted a place back in the pack, hurt and distrustful of if the others mean it, after having been pushed out of the pack in his eyes, rejected and unwanted.
They’ve been trying to fix that, mending bridges and working hard to prove he not only has a place but is WANTED. Building bridges back out with him. By the time the invasion happens, he’s actually starting to believe them- he’s coming to the manor, interacting, trusting they’ll back him, save him, welcome him. He’s coming around- but he still hasn’t accepted a pack bond yet. Not again.
Didn’t feel quite ready for it, so he doesn’t have a bond with any of the other Bats. He doesn’t know if they’re alive or dead, can’t sense the bond and know for sure, and they can’t check on HIM like that either.
The panic of both sides of that equation is REAL. All of them have seen these creatures hunt and kill and destroy. And they don’t know if-
This event, this potential of loss on both sides is what makes Tim realize he is NOT willing to keep going without that bond in place. That he wants to feel them in his head again. He could have died or lost any of them, and never had the chance to be bonded to them as pack again, and-
He can’t do that again. He wants the bonds nestled in his chest, wound around his ribs and heart, thriving and anchored in his head. I may write the scene I have in my head out for Tim coming back to the cave last and just having a breakdown cause everyone is THERE, they’re alive.
This AU is going to be tagged “Quiet Night AU” on my blog, so keep an eye out for more.
And if you made it this far into this monster post, PLEASE feel free to send asks in about this verse, I wanna think about/talk about it and share. My brain is turning over all kinds of snapshots of moments in this verse, and I’d love to hear what yall wanna see from it, what questions or scenes you have in mind. Just address in the Asks that it’s for the Quiet Night AU. Edit: I ended up writing the blurble with Tim making it back to the cave found HERE

The omegaverse post is getting. VERY long- so I’m swinging into here-
At two-three ish years old, i think Damian would be on solid foods at that point, granted- he did just come from a cloning tube, so he wouldn’t have had any solid foods- but nonetheless, I don’t think Bruce would start producing milk.
Also, Pit rage + Dynamics?
I can see either that the Pit Rage is almost completely removed from the equation due to Jason having grown up with unnatural instincts, (There is a Lazarus pit in Gotham after all, he could have immunity due to being raised in the hellpit that is Gotham) or it’s so much worse.
Jason will either be almost completely uneffected except for being a bit more feral, or will drop into angry ferality at the drop of a hat.
And you know that Tim will end up being smothered by both Jason and Bruce- though, most often it’s Jason because Jason now has a little brother- one that needs his help and protection from his clearly neglectful parents.
Tim has no idea how dynamics work- and While very much annoyed by it, Atleast Jason can teach Tim how to be a proper pup with Steph’s help. (I can see Jason having helped taught Dick when he first came to the manor in a similar way)
And Steph will want to join in. This pack is a mess, but she she still wants to help. While She’s not full Wayne pack, she is definitely on the fringes of the pack. Not as much as Jim, but still there. ‘Sides, it’s fun playing with a big pack like the Wayne Pack! There’s so much chaos and Bruce makes amazing nests.
Also- Dynamic Headcanons time, in order of hierarchy cus why not.
Bruce - Head Omega
Alfred - Elder Beta
Dick - Alpha (Defaulted to Head alpha due to being the only adult alpha in the core part of the pack)
Jason - Pup Omega (Presented)
Tim - Pup Beta (Unpresented)
Damian - Puppy
Steph, Jim, and Barbara are on the fringes of the pack, so their rank in the pack often changes depending on what’s needed. But they default right above the pups more often than not.
Also, I can see all three of them being alphas.
Good idea lol- I'll add links to the previous ones too. 1 2
First of all, yesss. Tim is slowly brought out of his shell and encouraged by the combined might of the entire pack. No, Bruce and Jason are not almost sobbing in relief the first time Tim actually responds like a pup should.
Omg, I absolutely adore the idea of tiny pup Jason helping Dick learn how to pup. Dragging him into wrestles and gnawing at him until he asks him to stop.
I feel like Steph tries to stay on the edge of the pack but slowly gets sucked in lol, not helped by the fact that she's Spoiler. And getting dragged into the Batman's side of a pack too. It is inevitable at this point.
Gosh, what if the pit rage like, he's fine and completely in control as long as there's a Lazarus presence- which is thankfully all around Gotham. But like, if he leaves an area that hasn't had any sort of death-juice corruption he loses it a little bit. Like he has to learn how to control it before he can properly leave Gotham- outside of emergencies where he has a pendant or something with a tiny bit of the Waters maybe?
#ask answered#omegaverse#alpha beta omega#batman au#batfamily#Omg what about Cass#Would she have a dynamic or would she be really good at mimicking one#because that's what she learned from after coming to Gotham so she can for lack of better term switch between behaviors?#idk I am just rotating ideas and just woke up so feel free to ignore lol#honestly i like most of those dynamics#gosh the lazarus pit interacting with dynamics reminded me of a headcanon of mine#like even outside an omegaverse au#where every gothamite has reflective and/or glowing eyes from everything in Gotham#And i just think that would fit for this AU too lmao#Omg there should be a nesting room in the Watchtower#A room with dimmed lights & so many blankets & nesting supplies & a Big nest for a broody bat & the several vigilantes he brings with him

Ko-fi thank-you sentences for @qwertynerd97, cat, and Necer0s; the wet nurse omegaverse.
"Here, let’s just set up on the coffee table, why don’t we," Bruce says, pushing the scant few knick-knacks and books on it down to the far end and sparing a last calculating glance for Carl, who has a hand on both Lor and Jon’s backs and is petting them both with heavy, steady strokes as he goes back to that low and rumbling purring. Jon is visibly melting into him; Lor is already functionally a liquid.
Bruce is still a little concerned that Lor might have difficulty digesting human milk, but all things considered, this seems to be going unexpectedly well. Apparently the list of prioritized nutrients he sent over to all those agencies is finally paying off.
Carl keeps purring like a very quiet engine and clearly doesn't care about anyone else in the room at all, including Tim and Damian. Tim looks a little relieved by that, for some reason; Damian just looks irritated. Bruce doubts he'd ever want to nurse from a wet nurse, considering, but not being offered the opportunity probably still feels like an insult to him. Still, he's not in Lor's pack, never mind his and Jon's not-quite-formed pack bonds that everyone else has been politely not mentioning in order to avoid making a thing. It's normal for pups to try and pack up with their friends, especially when they're particularly close ones, even if said packing up doesn't always succeed or pan out in the long term.
It's just not normal for Damian, so again, they've all been avoiding mentioning it just yet.
“Yes, of course, Alpha Wayne,” Travers says stiffly, setting out her paperwork on the coffee table in a tidy, easy-access arrangement. She's more than a little questionable as a chaperone, but at least she's efficient, Bruce supposes, which means her personal files should be easy enough to investigate when he asks Barbara to break into them. “The contract is the standard setup, but of course we can go over it as thoroughly as you’d like. Er–well, actually, if you’d like Carly to do direct nursing, it’ll be the A contract, not the B, but I have copies of that too.”
Small favors, Bruce thinks. Saves waiting for the office to email or fax it over, at least.
“Sounds good,” he says, leaning over the coffee table to glance at the papers she’s laying out. “Alright to take a look, Clark?”
“That’s fine, yes,” Clark says, flicking his eyes away from Jon and Lor and Carl and putting on a pleasant smile as he steps up beside Bruce and looks down at the papers himself. He makes a show of adjusting his glasses and leaning over too, as if he isn’t in possession of vision that could read paperwork with a font half this size from the opposite end of a football field without so much as squinting. Tim visibly resists the urge to come over too, being Tim and always wanting as much information as possible. Alfred has more patience and Damian just isn’t interested, Jon and Lor are both understandably distracted, and Carl is just continuing to ignore everyone that isn’t actively cuddled up to him, so otherwise they have all the space in the world.
“We strive to keep the contracts as straightforward as possible, of course, but there are a few necessary clauses and disclaimers,” Travers says, gesturing at the paperwork as she lays out the last sheet, and then proceeds to explain said clauses and disclaimers in agonizing detail. Bruce listens to and absorbs the information, resenting the entire conversation as something that could’ve absolutely been an email and also half the length it currently is, but keeps a touch of attention on Carl and the pups.
Jon ducks his head against Carl’s chest when he finishes nursing and . . . sniffs, once, very quietly. And then blinks, very quickly.
Clark’s jaw tightens, but he doesn’t say anything. Bruce decides to defer to him.
Carl does not, and starts purring louder and drags Jon up to bury his face in the scent gland in his throat without even bothering to fix his shirt. His pheromones are clumsy, unrefined things, not the kind of clear and straightforward communication that an omega his age should know how to push through their scent, but they’re still omega-sweet and all-encompassing enough to fill up the room. He smells not quite comforting, perhaps, but warm and sweet as milk and strong and solid and present: the kind of protective and certain and promised scent that Bruce is more used to associating with powerful and secure omegas like Clark and Diana than random stray civilians who’ve barely presented.
So it’s not particularly surprising when Jon plasters himself against Carl and lets out a very, very quiet sob against his scent gland. Carl wraps his arm tighter around him and purrs at him as he inexpertly nuzzles his hair. Damian bristles, glaring at Carl, and for some reason Tim’s face is very red, but Alfred projects soothing reassurance through his own pheromones and Damian’s hackles . . . well, they don’t go down, exactly, but he also doesn’t try to attack Carl, so Bruce will take it.
Clark swallows, looking pained, and keeps his eyes on the paperwork.
So yes, he’s very upset about this, if he’s not going to Jon right now.
Travers looks stressed again but doesn’t say anything about the situation, just keeps carefully explaining the contracts. They do seem to be fairly standard arrangements from what Bruce has researched in regards to wet nurse agencies, and there aren’t any particular red flags so far. Some unnecessarily archaic language and a bit of benevolent sexism on behalf of Carl, who rolls his eyes when he hears it, but nothing explicitly concerning. Bruce glances towards Clark, because Clark’s the omega here and therefore likelier to notice an abuse an alpha might not, but he doesn’t look concerned either. Well–about Jon, obviously, but not the contract.
“And of course the agency can arrange an alpha, for propriety’s sake,” Travers continues, and then Bruce finds himself very concerned.
“I'm sorry?” he says as Clark bristles beside him. Bruce attempts to find any possible way to interpret that “of course” that doesn’t involve a goddamn arranged mating in the interest of him not having to worry about an omega under his roof having the right to make any paternity claims against him if they just so “happen” to get pupped. Politely phrased, obviously, because they’re in mixed company and the Waterton Agency has manners, but still no kind of subtle for anyone who knows those manners.
“The fuck do they need with an alpha?” Carl asks, wrinkling his nose in confusion, and Bruce is reminded that Carl does not know those manners. Which means Carl has no idea what Travers just offered on his behalf.
Goddammit.

for ask game: casstim, post war games
Tim's first heat starts in Bludhaven and, alienated from all familiar bonds, he invites Cass into the nest. but it turns out that despite everyone thinking Cass was a beta or delta, she's an alpha stuck with the presentation due to starvation as a child. and being close to an omega in the heat provokes her first rut.
for the ask game!
post-War Games CassTim my *beloved* god. especially with Omegaverse it's all so good bc i *love* playing with how Cass' upbringing could affect her presentation-
the isolation of everyone post-War Games is a lot of fun to play with, especially how it affects Tim and Cass. they don't see eye to eye about how things should've been handled. and worse, they're both grieving Steph. it makes being together awkward and full of long silences neither of them know how to fill. but without any other options and trying desperately to just fix things, Tim invites Cass to his nest. mostly because he doesn't *expect* her to say yes. i like the idea of Cass being pretty averse to all things secondary gender because of her own complex about (assumedly) not having one. everyone defaults to assuming she's a beta, but there's never been any proper confirmation. so it's a last-ditch effort for Tim to find *any* kind of companionship after everyone he's lost. his first heat has him feeling awkward and vulnerable. so when Cass says yes bc she's also just lonely and vulnerable, he's so started he didn't expect it. he happily makes room for her in his nest, but it's a bit awkward at first. Cass is just going through a checklist, making sure Tim is eating and drinking enough, cuddling him, but still holding an emotional distance. part of it is her unresolved feelings and part of it is her stunted presentation, it all makes her very confused and awkward no matter how much Tim tries to connect to her.
i'm personally a big fan of heats not being "out of your mind horniness" but more so being "emotional distress and physical discomfort". sure Tim is horny and could really use a good fuck rn, but mostly he's just cramping and craving an emotional connection, especially as his first heat without a real pack. the Batfam have vaguely acted as a pack before, but now they're so fractured it sends Tim's hormones on an emotional fritz. he doesn't like that he's an omega having his first heat, he doesn't like that his pseudo-pack is such a mess, and he doesn't like how something is clearly wrong with Cass. she's trying to hide it, but Tim can tell she's getting more and more uncomfortable the more they hang out in his nest, just watching movies. she keeps shifting around and getting up for some reason. and the worst part is, *she* doesn't know why either. she doesn't know why Tim's scent is so distracting and why she's suffocating in this need to protect and hold him. she almost feels bad about it, like she's objectifying an omega in heat who just wants her company. Cass doesn't fully understand social dynamics, but she knows omegas are seen as vulnerable and fragile during heat and Tim came to *her* for help, and now she's messing it up, somehow. she can smell the distress on his scent as he's so worried about her when she's the one who should be taking care of him and clearly, she's doing a bad job of it, no matter how much Tim is trying to convince her otherwise and just talk to her.
i think it's fun if Tim notices first. Cass wouldn't have any idea what these feelings are and she's often so disconnected from her body's signals she's not processing the attraction and arousal from her rut, just this burning need to protect Tim, which she had already. it's when Tim has his face buried in the crook of her neck that he frowns and actually smells her. and he awkwardly asks if she's an alpha and Cass has to tell him no, bc everyone knows she's assumed to be a beta. and so Tim has to very awkwardly tell her that he's pretty sure she's an alpha and he's *definitely* sure she's going into rut. and now Cass is *more* uncomfortable. because she's so used to her body being used to hurt people. and she's heard the stories, how alphas go into ruts around omegas and use to as an excuse to assault them. and that's the *last* thing she wants to do when Tim has trusted her with such a vulnerable moment. i'm just very fond of Cass fearing intimacy because she doesn't know how to use her body for pleasure, only for pain. she tries to pull away, saying she'll find someone else to keep Tim company. but Tim is promising her it's okay, promising he knows she wouldn't hurt him and that they don't *have* to do anything. his instincts are begging for sex, but he won't push for that unless he knows she wants it too.
the sex takes a while for them to build up to. maybe Tim's heat lasts a couple days and Cass is in and out or her rut the whole time as her body adjusts to presenting as an alpha. they're helping each other through it. Cass is trying *hard* to hold back her urges, she's taken the worst kind of pain the world has to offer, she can handle some hormones. but the more Tim's heat lasts the more the nest smells like both of them and she finally breaks, whispering a soft "please" in TIm's ear, and that's all Tim needs to understand. the sex is taken slow and a little awkward. Cass functionally understands how sex works, but concepts of foreplay are utterly foreign to her. i like the idea of Cass being the dom, but still needing guidance from Tim as to what feels good for him, how she should touch him. i love the idea of Tim guiding her to eat him out bc it'll make it easier for him to fuck him and Cass enjoys giving Tim head so much for the taste and all the noises that he makes that she drives him into overstimulation, coming over and over on her tongue until he's sure he's gonna pass out. she fucks him hard, but her words are so gentle in his ear and it's such a dizzying contrast. when Cass finally knots Tim i think she cries. the overwhelming emotion just finally gets to her and they hold each other like that while Cass cries and feels loved.
in the aftermath, they *try* to go back to normal. both of them agree mating would be a bad idea that could overcomplicate things. but they can't seem to stay away from each other. they end up sleeping in each other's beds, always visiting each other. it's very normal for Tim to wake up to Cass crawling through his window to climb under his sheets. they smell like each other so much that everyone can tell Tim is seeing an alpha but no one realizes it's Cass for a while because no one realizes she's an alpha. the truth eventually comes out because Tim and Cass end up glued at each other's hip. it takes a few years before they officially mate, but everyone knows it's an unofficial official sort of thing. Tim's heats are always spent with Cass and they're ferally protective of each other. they definitely don't have an easy relationship- there's so much unresolved trauma between the two of them that they struggle with emotional vulnerability with each other. sometimes they end up arguing and not speaking for days and *everyone* can feel the tension. but they always make up in the end bc they will always seek each other out for company and comfort.
#necrotic festerings#casstim#timcass#cassandra cain x tim drake#omegaverse#ask game#this is so fun as an idea#alpha!cass my BELOVED.#it's the best timcass dynamic to me.#they're just so soft but also bad at feelings. i love them so dearly.#i usually ignore war games for fanfic bc of what it did with steph#but it *is* fun to explore in timcass and how they shape up after all of it#i love them so dearly.#i meant to answer this last night. i fell asleep.#but this is such a crunchy idea ty for this <3

I’ve been thinking about omega Dick + omega Jason where they had a more mentor/mentee relationship with Dick thinking of Jay as his pup almost (mean while Jay had a big fat crush on his mom figure) and then when Jay comes back from the dead hot Dick is all like damn
Anything that features Dick having an 'oh damn' moment towards Jason is so good, hahaha. Unfortunately I've got a bit of an aversion towards the omega Dick trope though, so sorry. orz If you don't mind alpha!Dick though I've written a few thoughts below!
Alpha!Dick stepping up and providing as best as he can to fill an omega role for a pup that desperately needs one, society’s views on that be damned
And a lot of it doesn’t come natural, but the important parts do. It isn’t only omegas who can be tender with their care; it isn’t only alphas who are fierce in their protectiveness
Dick’s independence overshadows traditional dynamics; he’ll provide as needed to ensure Jason feels safe
Alpha!Dick + Pup!Jason
No thoughts just softness. With Dick humoring a rambunctious pup, letting Jason roughhouse with him - pulling at his hair and clothes and having so much patience with him. Just taking all that playfulness until he’s tired and then he squishes Jason beneath him until the pup falls asleep.
Jason having a penchant for nipping! Bites all along Dick’s hands and arms and shoulders because that’s how pups and omegas show affection. And Dick is so fond of them. He’ll roll up his sleeves just so he can see them and show them off because his pup adores him.
But also Dick teaching Jason everything he can. Jason thrives when he feels safe, so Dick makes sure Jason can look after himself regardless if Dick or Bruce are with him or not.
Dick making sure Jason will be independent regardless of how he presents. Jason has so much fight and compassion in him; don't lose that to some designation. Because alphas can be soft and omegas don't have to wait around for some alpha to sweep them off their feet.
Post-Loss of Pup
Something something Dick going feral for a time something
Having Jason in their lives would have tempered Bruce and Dick's aggression towards one another (with Dick challenging Bruce), but once Jason is gone Dick is all gnashing teeth and snapping maw and it's ugly
What were growing pains before and Dick learning his place in the pack becomes almost a severance of that bond because Dick loses trust in Bruce as an alpha completely
Tim enters the picture at some point. Dick also beats Joker and has that kill taken from him which leads to more fights, of course.
Because Bruce tells Dick, 'you don't have the right,' and Dick loses it because 'what right did you have!?' -- to leave Jason, to let him die, to choose being a hero over being the alpha Jason needed
And it's not fair, but neither is life and life has broken Dick so thoroughly. That was his pup --
The only reason Dick comes back/stays is for Tim. Doesn't matter that Tim presents as an alpha; he's still a child, a pup.
Extra: where Dick realizes that Jason never even presented; too young, still stunted. Seeing a photo maybe and remembering that Jason was small. Sitting on the fringes of a small nest and seeing some of his own things and breaking down a bit because he misses his pup; he never got to see him grow - he never will.
Extra extra: Dick falling asleep with his head rested along that small nest and waking up to Jason's scent and being !! until he remembers and then it's sad hours once again as Dick lays there, arms thrown over his face to hide his grief and biting his lip to keep from screaming-wailing-sobbing
Alpha!Dick + ???!Red Hood
Immediate, persistent attraction despite the safe assumption that RH is another alpha
Dick staring at footage of him that Bruce gathered, wide eyed and slack jawed until Tim nudges him and then Dick is snapping his maw shut and babbling a bit because what??
Are they finding a mate for him what's happening again?
A little turned on at the thought of what a fight that'd be just like 👀💦✨
It only gets worse when Dick sees RH being good to street pups like let him mount this man immediately
Dick being a little depraved and like, he immediately chastises himself because omg reel it in but like... Dick's gonna bitch him.
Alpha!Dick + Omega!Red Hood
😳😳😳😳💦💦💦💦💦
Dick is an alpha degenerate muzzle him now woof bark
For real though Dick being hot under the collar and very OTL about needing to keep it professional and like, maintaining morals
He won't be compromised for a genuinely kindhearted, compassionate, wonderfully competent albeit misguided omega crime lord
But also 👀
Also backtracking because idk how Dick gets to know this information? But I like to imagine it's in a situation where RH is vulnerable and instead of taking advantage, Dick like. Loans him a jacket maybe?
That gesture breaking RH down a bit because this is the alpha Jason fell in love with. It's the alpha he's missed so much and wanted so badly for. And it's been so damn long, but Jason gets something that has Dick's scent. And he can nest. It's a sad nest, but omfg Jason would be so 🥺; just comforted and tormented in equal measure and AHHH
Dick being every bit the alpha Jason remembers from before and Jason doesn't know how to feel about it because Jason is so hurt that Dick wasn't there and that when Jason came back, nothing was different and yet everything was and ;n;
Idk they probably get to talking and fall in love and it's heartwrenching because they're both coping with grief over one another in their own ways and yeah
Alpha!Dick + Omega!Pup!Jason
The most anticlimactic ending but like. There would be no hesitation in Dick pulling a trigger on Joker?
Especially after RH is revealed to be the pup Dick lost
Especially after Jason pleads with him and mourns how he was taken away from their pack and Jason doesn't need to say that he doesn't feel safe because Dick can smell it - that distress and grief and loss
Dick won't stand for it.
That's his pup. That's his pack.
Afterwards
Obviously there's something here about Dick being very overwhelmed because his relationship with Jason got complicated, what with the persisting attraction
Jason makes it worse because he doesn't share the same concerns
In fact, with how he was raised (by Dick), Jason is a very independent omega. He doesn't need to wait for an alpha to take charge - he'll court Dick if Dick is too much of a pup to do it himself
And thus Dick has to try and hold off a very beautiful headstrong omega and lbr he's gonna lose

Pairing: Tim Drake/Jason Todd Rating: Explicit (and please mind the tags) Chapter Wordcount: 4.9k
Jason tries to sell off his first heat to make ends meet for the upcoming winter. When he’s taken by traffickers instead, he’s sure that’s the end of him—until he’s rescued by a mysterious alpha. That “rescue” comes with a price: Jason’s heat hits shortly after, and… one thing leads to another, and now Jason and Tim are bound together by a fledgling mate bond. It’s not the first time Jason’s had to make the best of things, but… he finds it a little bit easier this time, especially as he grows to genuinely like Tim. Unfortunately, just as Jason is starting to settle into mated life, Tim’s ex-pack starts getting involved, and they don’t exactly approve of Tim’s choice in mate...
i was going to wait longer to post this, but... i've been dying to share it, lmao, so i'm doing so as a birthday gift to myself <3
under the cut is a preview of the first chapter, as well as chapter content warnings. i hope you enjoy <3
CWs: underage prostitution, kidnapping, non-consensual touching, non-consensual medical exam, non-consensual pelvic exam, antiquated sexual education, degrading comments, humiliation, dehumanization, non-consensual photography, hurt no comfort, (it's coming, i promise)
tumblr is being rude and not letting me upload my divider image so take this purple text instead
Jason hasn’t stood on a street corner in over a year. He'd hoped, deep down, that he never would again. But...
Here he is, dolled up in a pair of tight shorts and a t-shirt, the combo doing nothing to protect him from the chill. Even mild as it is, the cold cuts straight through his skin.
A cigarette, unlit, dangles from his lips. He turns a lighter around and around in his palm, but doesn't light it yet.
Luckily for him—or maybe unluckily, not even an hour passes before a car sidles up to the curb. Jason's no expert, despite his brief stint at a chop shop, but he knows enough to know this one is nice. Not top of the line, exactly, but good. Shiny. Sleek. All black chrome and tinted windows, the engine purring like a content house cat before it cuts, the car rolling to a stop.
The tires would fetch a decent price. Too bad his guy is laying low, with the rest of the shop.
The man who steps out is tall, with broad shoulders and thick arms emphasized further by a leather jacket. He's bald. Despite the darkness of the hour, there are sunglasses perched on top of his head.
Jason’s grip gets a little tighter around the lighter. He forces it to loosen as he lights his cigarette. The flicker of warmth at his fingertips makes the rest of him feel folder in comparison. He takes a long, slow drag before letting the smoke pour from his nose. It dissipates in the night; the wispy cloud getting lost in Gotham's smog.
He envies it, a little.
The man's gait isn't quite a swagger. His steps are slow. Confident. The size of him is intimidating. His scent, when Jason catches it, doesn't help matters. It's thick with alpha musk, both natural and artificial. Under that is the sharp scent of burning wood. The part of Jason that's purely omega, that cares only about the safety of pack and getting fat with pups and milk, perks up. There's a low, steady heat in his blood, something that's been building for weeks now, that grows a little warmer.
Jason keeps his scent tucked tight.
The alpha leans against the wall next to him, pulling out his own smoke.
“Got a light?” he asks, casual as you please. Like they’re just two work buddies on break together.
“Yeah,” Jason says quietly.
The man doesn’t do much more than bend his head down, forcing Jason to rise onto the balls of his feet to light it. The alpha’s hand rests on his waist, above his hip, steadying him. Under his shirt, Jason’s skin crawls. He hates being touched almost as much as he craves it, these days.
The alpha blows the smoke out, into the night, and says, “Thanks,” thumb rubbing circles into Jason’s hip.
Jason lets himself shiver. Knows it’ll be interpreted as desire; not a reaction to the dread settling in his belly.
Last chance to back out, Todd, he tells himself.
He thinks about his squat. About his nest, if you can call it that; assembled from old paper and cardboard, and things he found in the very bottom of lost and found bins. About the thin blankets, the creeping cold.
About the way the absence of his pack bonds grows harder and harder to bear with each passing day; the empty spaces aching like phantom limbs.
He won’t survive a heat on his own. Even assuming no one finds him, or that the difficult-to-reach location keeps him safe… He just. He won’t. Not with what he has.
Some of the men who have picked Jason up like to make small talk. Even flirt a little, like… Like it’s something real, and not a sick perversion. This guy doesn’t. “How much’re ya askin’, kid?” He’s still rubbing Jason’s hip.
“Depends on what you want,” Jason says back. He licks his lips, and then looks up at the man through his lashes as he takes another puff, hoping the move comes off as sensual, and not stupid. “My mouth…” Jason shrugs, exhaling smoke. “Fifty. But…” He leans back, tipping his head back, exposing a little of his throat.
The alpha watches with interest; greed in his gaze.
Jason keeps tight control of his scent—but he loosens it now. The milky scent of his puphood is an undertone now; slowly being overpowered by a more adult, omega scent. It’s thick and sweet, with just a hint of spice. The lure of impending heat floats between them.
The alpha’s grip tightens on his hip. His breath has caught in his chest.
Jason stubs the cigarette out on the wall and lets it fall from his fingers. It pains him to waste one like that—but it was only ever a prop to start with. He presses against the alpha’s side, wrapping his arms around the barrel of his chest, head tipped back. “If you want to make a proper omega outta me… I think a thousand is fair. Don’t you?”
God. He wants to ask for more. Heats are usually around three days. Alphas… Alphas may not be able to match an omega’s stamina in that time, but there are no shortage of other ways for them to touch him. To violate him. But he’s pushing it already, asking for a thousand. He’s a crime alley street whore, not a pretty little O with a silver spoon in his mouth and gold on his throat.
The alpha’s hand slips to Jason’s lower back, just above the swell of his ass. It— It’s a fight not to let revulsion sour his scent, his expression. His skin crawls. His stomach rolls.
“A thousand,” the man repeats, rolling the words in his mouth. Then his lips quirk up at one corner. “Yeah, kid. I think a thousand’s fair.” He stubs out his own cig before pulling out his wallet; a beat-up leather trifold.
Jason’s teeth catch on his lip. He watches him count one, two, three—five hundred dollar bills, folding them in half and offering them between two fingers.
“Half up front.”
He’s sure the alpha must be able to hear the way his heart thunders. If he does, though, he gives no indication. Jason takes the money, pushing it into the pocket of his shorts.
Then he lets himself be guided to the car. Just before Jason steps off the curb, the alpha grabs him, yanking him against his chest. His arm locks around Jason’s chest like a vice. Jason claws futilely at the arm around him. Though the alpha growls, scent sharp with pain, he doesn’t let go.
Jason twists. Kicks. “Let me go—“ He’s lost all control of his scent now; his terror is thick and sour in the night air.
The alpha covers his mouth—Jason takes his chance. He sinks his teeth into the meat of the alpha’s palm, clamping his jaw down as tightly as he can. Blood floods his mouth.
“Fucking bitch—“ The alpha snarls, dropping Jason.
Jason doesn’t think—he just runs, stumbling before righting himself.
Unfortunately, the universe has never been kind to Jason Todd, and she’s not about to start now. He’s not even sure what he trips on, only that one minute, he’s running, and the next—
He plummets.
He manages to avoid face planting, catching himself on his hands. Before he can push himself back up, though, the alpha reaches him—his boot slams into Jason’s side, knocking the breath from him.
The alpha kneels beside him, hand closing roughly around the back of Jason’s neck. He scruffs him roughly; thumb and middle finger pressing down on his scent glands, palm pushing at the back of his neck. Submission floods Jason’s veins. Unwillingly, he slumps into the concrete, all the fight leaving him.
He lets out a pup’s call—not for pack but for anyone. It’s small and helpless and immediately cut short by the alpha hauling him up and over his shoulder like a sack of grain.
Tears pool in his eyes.
He’s not strong enough to resist it. Not strong enough to do anything but twitch as the alpha carries him into the car. He drops him in the trunk, securing his limbs with zip-ties, rendering Jason utterly immobile.
Baldie slams the trunk shut, trapping Jason in the dark.

@hardlycats ghost jay answered here
DickTim mating hunt + forced bonding Dick abusing a fact about Omega biology
This idea is pretty fresh actually so
This plays shortly after Tim returned from his Red Robin quest, Bruce hasn't been pulled out of the timestream yet but it won't be long
Dick is... very frustrated and concerned for Tim's safety. Not only had the Omega just ran off and cut all his ties with the family when they had disagreed and were reasonably! concerned for his sanity, he also had shown a clear lack of care for his own well being when he did return (Dick knew very fucking well that Tim had not actually expected someone to catch him) and when it was all said and done, they apologized and tried to make up Tim didn't seem keen on settling right back into Gotham
so he may have hatched a plan (one that had been way longer in the works than he would like to admit to himself) about how to keep Tim tied to Gotham and get him to stay.
It's just his luck that when Tim Drake-Wayne officially returns back (and the whole debacle of the fake engagement is cleared up) that there was a mating hunt that Tim was invited (ordered) to go too. (Having missed his first one with his running around the world, that had been a big scandal, people assuming he was trying to run from his responsibilities)
If Tim was bonded to an alpha in Gotham he wouldn't be tempted to leave, if Tim was bonded to an alpha he would stay. And because this is about Tim it of course can't be just any random alpha that gets the better over him because Tim had been running himself ragged or something. No it had to be someone they would approve of, that wouldn't interfere with their lives or try and keep Tim from him and it wasn't like there were many alphas around that fit that requirement.
Besides Jason Dick was the only alpha in the entire Wayne pack and he sure as hell wouldn't let Tim be bonded to his lunatic of a little brother who probably would delight a little too much in claiming him. (Tim had told him high on painkillers about how Jason had offered Tim to be his Robin while stabbing him) Dick would not let anymore of his family get harmed and if he used some underhand tactics and manipulation? Well he had learned from Bruce.
So, the mating hunt is coming up, and he knows that Tim is good enough to easily avoid anyone, good enough to easily slip the set perimeter as to not even risk it and just return home the moment he's out of people's eyes. He knows that Tim knows this, and because Tim knows it and will only expect this to be a harmless civilian thing that he'll let his arrogance get to him, at least in a small way. And that will be when Dick is able to strike.
This break in trust will rock their relationship Dick is sure off that but at least it will be able heal and they will preserve like they always have (as long as Tim just doesn't leave them he won't have a choice).
It will be easy to excuse his actions to hide his own more selfish reasons behind his concern. Easy for him to exploit the little tidbit of information that he knows Tim is unaware of, that he learned because he is an alpha and Bruce thought it was important for him to know how his claim would affect Omegas
It wasn't hard to do research on his own about how an unfinished bond would affect an Omega (how it made them more malleable as long as the alpha could hold off on giving into the sweet temptation and fucked them. Dick had been trained by Bruce, he would be able to hold out longer, long enough to make sure Tim would want to stay from what he thought was his own desire before finally giving in and allowing himself what he had wanted to do for years)
-
it's 4am so I'm going to stop here and answer the other asks tomorrow/later today I'd say, hope you'll have fun with this and yeah uh there is still some stuff I could talk about (like go into more detail about what exactly Dick is talking about)

You know how hormonal bullshittery like pregnancy and the monthly Fuck You, make people feel really REALLY horny? Even when they basicly can't act on it or are feeling gross?
......wanna bet that's what being a Beta is like?
Cause they ARE the same species. Why would THEY get to dodge the heats/rutts bullet entirely? They get clipped! They still have to suffer! Hell, I bet they still have the same organs regardless!
That Beta male can ABSOLUTELY give you a child.
It's just incredibly, INCREDIBLY unlikely. THE textbook definition of a high risk pregnancy. Oh, and incredibly tough on their body. Cause the organ is basicly vestigial. It WORKS but for fucks sake! If you're advising a Beta couple, just tell them to use the far more effective SECONDARY in the biologically female beta! Assuming there is one! Are you TRYING to people in the hospital?!
But of course, just cause it isn't likely to give you a baby (unless Extreme Situations blah dee blah dee you get the picture, historical contexts), doesn't mean it doesn't fuck with your hormones. Leave you feeling gross.
Because!
Beats? Get "seasons". Short for fertile seasons. It was this whole old myth, that they were more likely to get pregnant during their "seasons". When in reality, they are basicly either pseudo-heats or pseudo-rutts, depending on which trait (while recessive) is stronger.
Tim looked it up. He had time too.
Cause he feels GROSS and horny. No one touch him or he'll stab you but also cuddle him right now or he'll cry. He hates all of you. Your his best friends and he loves you. He'd burn Gotham down for a Specific Brand of those one pickles.
He can't find the drier sheets... he's a failure and the world is ending, time to sit down and cry.
Needless to say? Thank FUCK it only happens like 3 times a year. He's already a mess, he refuses to let anyone see him like this. He doesn't CARE that "studies" and "common sense" say that pack helps manage the symptoms! He can handle it! Fuck you! He'll bite!
.........he sowwy. Are you mad?
And see, normally? His squirrelly "I gotta drop off the map, don't follow me" routine wouldn't be a problem. God knows BRUCE has let it go on for WAY too long. But? Jason? Jason is suspicious. Been trying to do better. And more importantly?
Been keeping track of days in his head.
Been about three months since you last went dark, Timbers. Suspicious number of days to go silent too. Bout the same number of days as a season. Knock the fuck knock, Timby tock! Open the fucking door. You can do it, or I will.
Tim looks like a miserable drowned Racoon.
Sweaty.
So sexy.
He has the AUDACITY to GROWL at him with his Itty bitty lil crackle beta voice. Jason informs him he's lucky "sad and pathetic" is somehow still cute on him, picks him up like a sack of cheap take-out, and drags him back to his place.
Tells him to scrub the layer of sweaty misery of himself while he gets food ready.
It's... it's nice. Tim realizes. Having this walking tank of an Alpha just sort of casually take care of him. Flop down on him like a weighted blanket. The chatter of Jason's shows in the background, the smell of his nest pressed against Tim's face, pressure against his body, warm and heavy. The feeling of Jason's hand, absent-mindedly playing with his hair, as he reads or researchs.
Tim can... drift.
They don't do anything that first time. Or the second. Or third. But the thought creeps in to Tim's head and won't leave. He bet it'd feel nice. Bet Jason would take care of him. Jason is so GOOD at take care of people. He's so tired. No one ELSE takes care of him. Even when he's so good for them. Tries his best.
.....he wants to go back and nap in Jason's nest again.
That was nice.
And? Alpha senses are sharper then a Betas. Jason NOTICES Tim starting to glance at him more and more. Linger closer and closer. Get that little mournful, hopeful, look in his eyes. Notices him start to look HAPPIER as his season gets closer, instead of annoyed. Like his looking forward to it.
Oh ho~? Jason's a lot of things, but dumb? Not one of them.
Not all of those looks were strictly platonic longing. It gave Jason some things to think about. Too consider. Does he... want too?
.....yeah. Yeah he does.
Better buy some of the Good Shit then. His lube sucks.
So Timbers comes over. Jason's done some research. What helps horny, miserable Betas. He's also a Bat. He pulls the ol "oh look, I just so happen to be freshly showed and in criminally short bathrobe. Mmmm, I sure am CLOSE, aren't i?" gambit. It's not even remotely subtle.
Tim's too busy ogling to notice or care.
Oh LOOK! Jason's sprawling like a magnificent big cat! Legs splayed and muscles loose, draped back against your side like your his personal throne! Mmm, sure is distracted by this show! And not paying attention to you! Would be a perfect time to get... ideas(tm)~
And Tim IS. Because Jason's leaning back against his torso, warm and heavy, smelling so... so NICE. And... t-thighs. Long... legs long. Strong. W.. wanna touch. Lick everything. *desperately tries not to whine in Horny*
But then? Jason does his "absent-mindedly petting Tim" thing? And his self control is fuckin DYING here, man! (Yeah, Jason's knows. It should die faster.) A-and s.. surely it's okay if... if TIM pets back right? Purely platonic! He can control himself!
......that's a fuckin lie.
He's not even sure HOW, but Jason's cock ends up in mouth. And it's like his brain cuts out, leaving him limp and full of pleasant static. Curled up, a strong hand softly playing with his hair, occasionally rubbing his cheek. As his mouth is filled, his vision filled, as all he can smell is JASON. Glide, push, glide, push. Tounge and throat and careful with his teeth.
Like meditation.
He's not even desperately trying to get him off, just wants Jason to fill his mouth. Too pay attention to him. Keep running his hands across his skin. And Jason does.
And sure, he considers pulling Timbers into his lap. Filling him properly. But the lil guy look so RELAXED for once. So blissed out. So? Sure buddy... you can have Alphas cock. Go ahead and suck. That's It. You're doing a real good job.
Course, once he figures out how to turn Tim's brain off? He has to figure out if it's a "all the time" thing or a "season" thing. You know... for excuses reasons. And? As a very stressful serial killer case soon proves? It's an all the time thing.
Drag him back to HIS safe house, patch him up, and pull him down to rest in a nice lil defensible layered nest? Right between his knees as he "keeps watch"? And Timbers can't seem to help himself. And damn if it doesn't feel fantastic, not gonna lie. No one EVER gets that... that fuckin WORSHIPFUL of Jason. It's setting off all SORTS of instincts in his head.
Gonna make that fucked up trainwreck a lasagna. Force him to take a nap.
His his his his, good boy baby, his.
Thankfully, it's not so much Tim OPPOSED as Tim, once again, single mindedly focused. So Jason just has too, with GREAT sacrifice and strength of will, NOT let Tim get his magnificent lil mouth get ahold of his cock. But gently push him back and flop down on him. Run his hands down and down until he strikes gold.
Doesn't take him long to figure out what Tim likes. What days he doesn't want to think, needs to be fucked brainless. What days he can't stand touch, needs a good thick toy and some company. The days he wants Jason's fingers. Or a bead for his clit and a nice long relaxing Zone out suck on Jason's cock.
He's Jason's needy, prissy, demanding, god awful, pillow princess of a train wreck Beta and Jason adores him. They practically live together by now. Reak of each other. You would have to be WILLFULLY BLIND to not notice.
So of course... the others notice last.
Too late! You didn't take care of him, bruce! So I DID! I fed that bitch a lasagna! AND my coc-! *Horrified Bat noises*
Tim's never been happier.
-🐼
😍😍😍😍 jason turning hissy tim into a sweet, pliant beta that would just like to fuck him while looking like the spirtual equivalent of 🥺

Tug, Pull, Ping
AIless Whumptober Day 17 - Abandonment
-
Tim woke slowly, drifting in quiet contentment. He was surrounded by his pack—alpha sister at his head, omega big brother at his feet, pack alpha and grandfather beta at his side, caring for him.
There was a distant tug at his side while they cared for him, a dull tug, and the din of shrapnel being dropped in the pan.
There a fingers combing through his too-long hair, feather-light and gentle, Tim hummed, turning his head towards the hand, relishing in the touch. She smells sweet and spicy, like a camellia in full bloom.
Cass.
When was the last time someone had touched him like this?
A fond chuff sparks warmth in his chest, he smiles, slowly blinking his eyes open. The operating lights overhead are offensive and too bright making his vision swim, and beyond that the high ceiling of the cave. He shifts to meet her warm gaze, there is a tight expression on her face he can’t quite place.
Tug, pull, ping.
He’s in the cave… he’s in the cave.
Shit. Shit shit shit.
He shouldn’t be here. Damian made it clear the last time he was here exactly where he belonged, particularly, anywhere but here.
Riffraff, a placeholder for the true Robin. He who had threatened to change his passcode and keep him out with all of the other street trash, who had gone out of his way to cut his lines and break his bones.
But there was a second set of instincts warring with the drive to run . The kind that craved to be surrounded and wanted to be wanted by his pack.
(The pack that abandoned him, a voice whispered in the back of his mind. A pack who had let him)
But they weren’t abandoning him now were they? They were here for him,
“Thinking too much, little brother.” Cass murmured in his ear, voice too soft for anyone without super hearing to hear. “Rest.”
Tim frowned and peeled his eyes open again (when had they shut?), glaring blearily up at the alpha. “I don’t need to rest, I need,” he gasped, trying to sit up. “I need to leave.”
Suddenly there were hands all over him, pushing him back onto the stretcher. The tugging stopped lost in an attempt keep him in the bed. There was a distant stabbing pain in his side that was easy enough the slough off. He had bigger fish to fry.
“You need to lay your ass back down before you get yourself killed.” Jason snapped from across the med bay, leaning back against the doorway, face taut. “Oh wait, I forgot, you almost did that.”
“Jason,” Bruce, the pack alpha, growled, a low warning. The heavy musk of angry alpha settling over the room, setting the hair on the back of his neck on edge, fear sending his heart racing. They were going to fight and it would be his fault.
Bad, bad, bad, he had to leave, he had to go—he had to—
Fingers were carding through his hair again, long and nimble, the clean scent of tea tree and mint flowing over his senses. Calm-safe-pack-omega-Dick they hummed.
Safe.
Tim’s muscles went lax again, melting back into bed and the static that came from being on the good stuff. “You’re safe, baby bird, I promise.” Dick’s voice was just as feather-light as his fingers, soothing away the worries.
Their promises had once been sacred back before Damian entered the picture , but it still eased some portion of his brain. Dick wouldn’t lie… right? Not like this.
There was a long air of silence between the two alphas, the air in the med bag felt charged, the stench of a challenge between the two alpha’s. Jason was the first to break.
Tim cracked his eyes open just in time to see him throw up his hands with an exasperated expression. “I’m telling it how it is, B. All of us here know it, the Replacement just don’t want to hear it.”
“Enough.” A muscle popped in Bruce’s jaw. He did not need this rehashed right now.
A silence set over the cave again and Dick’s fingers never faltered. Things in the cave settled again and the impromptu surgery began again. Tim settled under the touch, the scents, the being cherished by his pack again, drifting once more.
The familiar tug, pull, ping began again.

Bruce: I don't want to be king
Everyone looking at Gotham and his place with her: Too late for that
Also, it's really funny to think of his children as princes and princess of Gotham. They would have fun clowning Bruce, but act super offended when it's turned on them lol except Dami maybe?
Bruce is ever-so-slightly in denial, about several things, and that is one of them. He largely considers the Council equals, the protection of Gotham split evenly between them. To an extent, that is actually true. But when it comes down to it, his vote is likely to be the deciding one, and a part of him is also aware of that. He trusted that Ivy, with every reason in the world to slaughter the Imperium, would still hold off if he asked her to, gave her a good reason to. And he wasn't wrong. She held until he said so. Part of it is his aura. Part of it is Gotham's very obvious adoration for him. But a lot of it is also just him, the extent to which he was willing to fight for and accept the rest of the Council during NML, and the way he kept those oaths even after the city was retaken. He's not exactly king. But he's something not too far from it. Not quite alpha, at least not in the way a lot of alphas mean it, but again, something not too far from it.
As for his kids ... I think Dick is aware of it, yeah, and is as reluctant as his dad about it. Jason ... I don't think he's aware, as such. He's functionally a Duke right now, a district power on a level with Oswald and Ivy, holding the Alley with his aura. But Jason just did that, instinctively, because the Alley's his and needs protecting. He arrived home scarred and unravelling, and instinctively went for the Alley, his territory. That instinct was separate from Bruce, so I don't think he's married it up to being a 'prince'. In Jason's head, any power he's got was out of necessity, and by his own merits. Which isn't exactly wrong either. He does have his own bond to Gotham. Tim and Damian, given their upbringing, might be more conscious of being heirs of the de facto alpha/power in the city, but they're also both too doubtful of their right to be said heirs at the minute to lean on it. And Cass just ... doesn't think like that. She's been too far outside society, even pack society. She's aware of it, that it exists, but it's not something that she instinctively sees as applying to her. She was a tool, a weapon, to her father, and there's a large part of her that still imagines the same of Bruce. Not because he acts like that, but just because that's her frame of reference. He's a better hand to wield her, so much better, but that's still to a large extent how she's picturing it.
They are, mind you, to a degree princes and princesses. Gotham eating the Joker for touching one of them was a distinct sign of that. As is Barbara. As are Ivy's kids. As are Martin and Nicoletta, though that's complicated a bit by Oswald's hang-ups regarding acknowledging the fact that he's functionally adopted them in all the ways that matter. Not that Gotham gives a crap what he's acknowledged to himself, she still eat people for them now, because he loves them and she loves him.
Which, looping back around ... The Council are equals, to a large extent. All their children are princes and princesses of the city. Bruce is just ... the deciding vote. So long as he's willing to argue his case, anyway. Heh.
