Watched "Badhaai Do" today. I should've watched this in theatres ahhhh. Great characters. Good direction. Amazing Cast. Chill Soundtrack. An Indian Queer Movie that melted my heart. I feel so warm rn (maybe the climate is contributing to this as well) I don't know how many queer people in India get their fairytale ending (probably not many). But I hope every queer person stays happy and hopeful. This movie was one of the best things i've seen in a while. I laughed, cried and vibed :)

PAC: Wishes from your past self
Hello to everyone! I hope December treats you well, and if not, that the holidays shall bring you the light you need! ✨
My name is Licht and this is my second PAC on this account, and I hope it shall prove helpful. In a way or another it’s meant to become a gift from our past for the future, depending on what we choose to hear in the present. I am in no way a professional, and I’m yet to acquire the experience needed, so make sure to proceed mindfully. Have fun and make sure to share your thoughts if you feel like it! 💕
Disclaimer: As I am not a professional reader, all of the posts are to be taken with a grain of salt. This is a general reading, so some things might not resonate. Regardless of the situation, please remember that tarot portrays only one of the multiple scenarios of your life and you choose whether to follow it or not.

(1->2, 3->4)
Tumblr media
Group 1
Cards: The Star, Seven of Wands, Five of Coins Rx, Ace of Coins (bottom of the deck: Page of Coins)
Who is your past self?
A dreamer was the first thing that came to my mind - the Star is a symbol of hope, resolve in the darkness of our lives, as well as life’s brightest days. In your past you might have struggled financially or might have had a defective relationship with your family, friends, which had left you wishing for more, to receive what you unfairly didn’t get just because life dealt you an unfair hand. The young girl looks at the sky praying that things will get better, and the one who wishes shall be rewarded: the toys, the friends, the love you felt you lacked played in the back of your mind, in your daydreams, till they could one day become the steps you build your better future on
Your current situation:
The Seven of Wands shows that you’re currently working hard on achieving what you believe in, to ensure your future, possibly even driven by the feeling of lacking that got imprinted into your memory as a result of your life growing up. Though we didn’t quite get to the wishes part, I feel like you need to be reminded to listen to your body and take occasional breaks, as you might be prone to overworking yourself to a nearly unhealthy extent. Your body needs to be rested in order to offer you the energy and strength you need, otherwise you won’t be fighting but windmills
What do they wish you these holidays?
Generally I felt a truly pleasant energy coming through, as if your past self is truly happy you are achieving so much for both of you. Nonetheless, they wish you to feel less lonely and powerless these holidays. Release the fears of your past and embrace acceptance, the future you are creating for yourself one step after another. They are clearly hinting you should get out of your walls slowly but surely and embrace the warmth of relationships that could come if you are to accept them into your life
How can you make it come true?
Nourish your dreams and even the wildest wish shall come true. Page of Coins signifies a new beginning and so does te Ace of Coins. Your work is seen and it will be rewarded, you just need to continue for it to flourish. If by any chance you had any new business idea, no matter how grand or insignificant, the cards are confirming it could aid you into bringing financial abundance into your life. Don’t give up! Your manifestation, whether mental or physical will come into being - nothing lasting is built in a day
Tumblr media
Group 2
Cards: Four of Cups Rx, Strength Rx, Two of Swords, Queen of Swords (bottom of the deck: Five of Swords)
Who is your past self?
At first when the card felt I thought your past self had a somewhat privileged upbringing, diving more into it however, I believe this person was more of a gifted individual than a spoiled one, perhaps too gifted for their own preference - “ignorance is bliss”. The more you see and understand the easier it becomes a curse, does it not? You seem to have been quite the achiever, someone who managed quite a lot at their young age, be it actual contests or a general showcase of intellect and talent, yet you didn’t seem to derive too much joy from it as to you it might have been something normal “just the usual” (INTX vibes) even though to others it could be unthinkable
Your current situation
Combined with the previous card, I’m inclined to believe you identify yourself as a “burnt out gifted child” with a well-defined impostor syndrome. You overthink a lot, and it is just as much your downfall. The more you go down the rabbit hole, the less you believe in yourself and the potential you hold within. You are your own jailer and saviour, you merely ought to choose which side to pick depending on what you prefer: the familiarity of wailing in your own darkness or opening your eyes to what you can do with the gifts presented to you on a silver plate - nobody else will do this for you, trust me, some problems can be only solved by ourselves, though it doesn’t mean we cannot ask for guidance in the process
What do they wish you?
Your past self wants you to choose what to do next. The Two of Swords is blind thus asks for introspection before walking any of the paths presented. Truth is, there’s always fear in the unknown, but is the destruction that the known brings worth not taking a leap of faith? You can continue denying the lifestyle you have, continue living with the fear of failing in the real life, but in the end what use of a life you cannot truly say you live?
How can you make it come true?
Find the balance between being rational and destructive - quite frequently even dearest mind can become our greatest enemy, your duty is to figure out the line at which freedom and self-imprisonment separate. You are undoubtedly a bright individual, all you need is to discern fairly between what serves you and what does not - cutting off bad habits, influences is hard, but in the end some threads are meant to be severed so you can see the actual one you shall follow to the end of the labyrinth
Tumblr media
Group 3
Cards: Four of Swords Rx, Knight of Coins, Five of Swords, The Wheel of Fortune Rx, Seven of Cups Rx (bottom of the deck: Four of Wands)
Who is your past self?
Your past self most likely had to undergo serious transformations on an innate level, in a reality where they felt chained by circumstance. The card depicts being restrained for worldly good, as such, the painful events you once had to navigate served as a basis for becoming the one you needed the most and perhaps the one universe needed you to become the most. Suffering, while constraining on a mental level, drove you further to work on your actual soul and possibly even material goals, regardless of how hard it might have seemed. Your past self knew they had to get out, somewhere else mapped in their mind, and they did, or at least they came so much closer to it than they have ever been before
Your current situation
It seems that life has yet again brought you another unpleasant lesson. Five of Swords describes the energy of betrayal, disappointment and apparent defeat, though the victim of one battle doesn’t necessarily remain the one to surrender in the war. You have most likely been treated unfairly, despite everything you have done to this moment, and it tears your heart once more, possibly reopening wounds which you have been mending for the past few years I have mentioned in the previous paragraph
What do they wish you?
They want you to believe in the Universe and it’s infinitely variable essence - the wheel is always spinning and those who have once taken from you against your will shall be given the same treatment, but this time on divine terms. All the good karma shall be rewarded, all you need is to trust in it. These battles will be over eventually and you shall find respite and happiness, together with those you hold close, the allies you met along the way
How can you make it come true?
Focus on what you feel calls to you the most and do not share you energy and time left and right for what does not serve you. You are undoubtedly strong, but you need to also be wise about where is your strength needed - we are not meant to be endless wells, for the beauty of the energy we hold is what we choose to do with it. Your past self doesn’t want you to think about all the buts and ifs and look ahead instead and face the reality, escaping from the dreamscape of possibilities, possibly shaped inclusively by your own fears or lack of satisfaction with the hand you’ve been dealt
Tumblr media
Group 4
Cards: The Moon Rx, Three of Cups, Two of Wands Rx, Knight of Coins (bottom of the deck: Ace of Cups)
Who is your past self?
The reversed Moon is a symbol of looking behind the magical veil of illusion, meaning to break the rose coloured sunglasses and realise that delusion, while sweet, remains exactly that - nothing but an empty hope clashing with a reality we don’t always dare to accept. Most likely, your past self had managed to learn that earlier than most, sensing things that most of your peers couldn’t even care to understand, and that, while a blessing made you also stand out a lot, to those who could see it - “you’re so mature for your age” is possibly something you have once heard being said in your address quite a lot and not for no reason.
Your current situation
You seem to have a clear reason to celebrate given the Three of Cups, but they seemed to want to stay covered, thus it’s probable you cannot fully accept your success for some reason. With the bottom of the deck being the Ace of Cups, I am inclined to believe it could be related to a new emotional beginning in your life, perhaps even a romantic relationship that you are yet to fully process and accept. I feel as if you harbour a certain fear related to how good these events actually are and whether they will be there with you for longer. Life taught you that everything is ephemeral, even more the happy moments, and that a once happy moment can become the nightmare of another night, but you are yet to convince yourself that it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t let yourself enjoy it while you can.
What do they wish you?
Do not let fears overcome you and live the moment, embrace the future and accept the past, allowing yourself to be open to new horizons waiting for you. They want you to be more decisive about the opportunities you are presented, without falling into doubt - you have everything you need to navigate forward, no need to fear the unknown, because frequently it is in the unknown we discover true meanings
How can you make it come true?
Working and trusting the process is the key - being a little stubborn about what you dream of is by no means childish, nor egoistical, it is a demonstration of how much you matter to yourself. While you might be right that every banquet has an end, it doesn’t always mean the end will be bad, or that the end won’t bring a private party instead - you are allowed to want good things to happen without having to always be “objective” “realistic” about it, and who knows, maybe the banquet shall continue

━━━━━━ . .⃗ . Twitter LINKS . . satoru gojo. nsfw
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
a/n: this one's been here a while
warning: a whole lot man.
characters: Gojo Satoru.
Tumblr media
━━━━━ Before gojo left for a mission four days ago. He selfishly denied you orgasm multiple times. He came home exhausted but you still want the orgasm you deserved. Gojo is too exhausted to tease you so just lets you ride him till you're satisfied.
Gojo is on a mission right now so you thought it would be funny to send him videos.

Nothing too crazy, you even forgot about it. But that was your first and last after what he did to you
Gojo is a brat. If he wants something he's going to get it. It doesn't matter if you just woke up. His hands holding onto your waist to stabilise you, while pounding into you. You know he's the strongest but sometimes you wonder where he gets his stamina from
alternative
Gojo loves when you wear skirts around the house but you don't do it very although you tell him you love wearing skirts. This makes Satoru confused but he remembers why you don't wear skirts around him much. He loses control seeing those exposed thighs and the way the skirt syncs with the movement of your ass. Gosh, here we go again
Something you need to know when intimate with Satoru is that you are never really in control. Sure, sometimes he allows you to take the lead and be the dominant one because the masochist is feeling submissive today. But you need to remember that he can flip the tables anytime, happens when he felt you were a little too cocky. He's a brat himself but he's also a brat tamer.
"Don't tell me you thought you could fuck yourself with my permission and get away with it." He keeps fingering you despite your pleas for forgiveness and tugging his hand away. But you know this is only the beginning
Netflix and chill can never just be 'chill' with Gojo. He always wants to wander around your body. He can't sit still.
Gojo caught you playing with yourself without permission so he continued for you. "You wanted to feel good with your fingers right? Come on open, I'm just helping you." He mocks you as he abuses your stimulated clit
You know how hard he works, that why you tried to please him by giving him a blow job. Your first blow job, all for him? And you made he so sensitive too. He needed to repay you, eventually getting high on your pussy. headcanon
Imagine Gojo feels after his junior, taunts him flaunting her ass around campus when he's around. Always intentionally teasing him. You were just leaving the library when the strongest came to 'help you study'
"Please... at least let me finish the food- ngh~" Gojo never listens. "Please baby, I need you right now. He whispers into your ear as he's pounding harshly into you
Well, what did you expect? Walking into Gojo's temple in that. Praying to your God with your ass up, tight and short skirt barely containing all that ass. You got your prayer, if it's a kid you need it's a kid you shall get.
Sucking your boyfriend off while he plays his games. You don't need his full attention to give him a blowjob

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬
Tumblr media
⤷ synopsis: The Pastor has always been a man worthy of your adoration so you would obviously still adore him despite him teaching you an entirely false lesson no?
⤷ warnings — GN reader, religious themes, eldritch horror (tentacle shits), light bdsm (spanking, caning, blood), NSFW MDNI
"What does a bad, naughty sheep deserve from its shepherd?" "Th-the Shepherd's crook?" "Correct." One of his tentacles hands him the crook and he uses the hook to yank you closer toward him, "What do you say if we start it easy with a counting till' 12?"
Tumblr media
ꕤ The Pastor has always been the man you adore and aspire to be, always so kind and generous in helping anyone while teaching them what the Pastor deems to be 'true'. You have always been nothing but a lamb of his teachings, following him as though he is your shepherd.
ꕤ The Pastor says that he shall love and guide everyone equally but is that even 'true'? When the others could only listen to him, you on the other hand are able to feel his teaching firsthand.
ꕤ The Pastor sates you from earthly desires and guides you toward the righteous path, living in virtue. Why would you ever desire when he has given you everything you could ever want?
ꕤ Gluttony? You could eat whatever you want, be it the world's most gruesome meal. Pride? You will always be respected by all the acolytes and people around you. Envy and Greed? How could you even envy when you have everything in yourself? Wrath? No one would ever incur wrath out of you, for he himself guarantees it. Sloth? You have always been there in all the ceremonies he has ever held.
ꕤ Lust? When his tentacles that are hidden beneath his robes will never fail to pleasure you? Those suckers that leave lots of marks that sign you have belonged to something?
ꕤ The confession box that serves as a place for people to confess and repent allows Caelus to forgive and purify you as his tentacles wrap themselves around your body, suckers kissing your skin as he listens to your confession. By the end of the session, he'll dictate your next course of actions
"Kneel by the altar and pray for 15 minutes while I purify you alright? You must be pure no matter what."
ꕤ You have always been the lamb of his herdings, obediently kneeling and praying while his lip roams around the nape of your neck, hand feeling your body up and down as he starts undressing you for God to witness.
ꕤ Alas he himself is the God who is witnessing everything, of how you diligently pray for forgiveness while your body trembles from excitement and anticipation. Caelus licks your neck as his tentacles start to loom out of his robes.
ꕤ It is undeniable that Caelus knows his way around your body even from the first time he lays his hand on you. It was almost as though he had long known how your body would react to every single touch he made. All felt too familiar.
ꕤ Caelus starts by kissing your ears, and nibbling your earlobes while he positions your kneeling figure. Soon, his lip trails down onto your neck and your collarbone, giving it a trail of wet kisses and hickeys.
"How do you feel, my sheep?"
You stutter out an answer that is enough to make him nod and continue on his way with you, this time his hands work their way to undress you. Caelus relentlessly binds your limbs with his tentacles, lifting you mid-air as he feels your sex, "An excited one, aren't you? One must now dwell in the temptation of sins." He chides as he flicks your sex that was clothed by your wet underwear.
ꕤ You whine at the sudden touch, your opened mouth allows the tentacle to invade your mouth, feeling how warm the insides of your mouth are. The suckers taste you as they suck your tongue and the surroundings, your moan sending vibrate toward Caelus indirectly.
Caelus starts to stroke your sex, slow and steady as he feels it throbs under his touch. He can see it clearly with how wet your underwear is, urging him to slide it down and bare your sex open for him to observe.
"How needy, I haven't done much and you are this excited already? Does it start from the moment I order you to kneel down?"
ꕤ The Pastor has always known his way around his words and you realize that he is being lenient with his teachings today, is he being solemn? That aside, he really knows how to use his mouth on you, tasting the fluid that drenches your underwear while the tentacle inside your mouth invades deeper, causing you to gag at its thickness and length.
"Pa-pas-thorh, I-, C-C-Caelus!"
Although it is supposed to be a plea for him to pull his tentacle out, it starts to sound like a pleasured whimper. Caelus chuckles as he licks your cheek upward, tasting the sweat and tears that are on your face, "Why, it seems like you are quite enjoying yourself too." He gives your sex a smack, showing you how desperate you are for a release as well. "Tell me, have you been the sheep you are? Obediently following me as I herd you toward your den? Your safe haven?"
You want to nod but you know better than to do that after confessing yourself to him in the confession box. The tentacle retreats itself to allow you to speak, "I- I have not... Pastor."
"Then, what does a bad, naughty sheep deserve from its shepherd?" You gulp, "Th-the Shepherd's crook?" Caelus smiles, "Correct." One of his tentacles hands him the crook and he uses the hook to yank you closer toward him, "What do you say if we start it easy with a counting till' 12?"
If anything you are trying not to shake your head vigorously, only swallowing the lump in your throat. Just before you can retort, he lifts you even higher, baring your thighs for him to feel and cane easily.
“Count it properly unless you want me to start it from 1 again. Here we go,” You grit your teeth hard as the crook hits your thighs, leaving a red swollen streak. “Where’s the response?” Another hit jolts you awake, “ONE-!”
“Next,” “TWO-“ “THREE-!” “F-FOUR!” This goes on until you are too pained to number it correctly, choking in tears. Caelus is merciful enough to wait for you to recover before he chides you, “Why are you not paying attention to me? I am teaching you something so important for your well-being and you do not even bother to pay attention?”
You manage to choke out a response that is rather pathetic to be considered as a reason and Caelus can only click his tongue at you as he feels your bloodied thighs, red streaks decorating them while little blood oozes out of the cut, “You were so close to grasping the lesson entirely yet you have to make me recite it for you again?”
You tremble from his words, unsure of whether it is out of fear or anticipation of what he has stored in him to show you. One of the tentacles hooks your leg up by the knee, showing him just how your sex leaks out your excitement, dirtying the altar.
“Not only are you being inattentive, you are practically disgracing the altar for your own desires. Tell me, what did I teach you about not pursuing earthly desires?” The curve of his crook is rubbed against your sex as he questions you, more tentacles start to wrap themself around you with the suckers leaving a trail of blue and purple hues.
If you think he thinks your face is comically adorable then you are right because as for now, you are showing him just how eager you are for him to thrust his cock into you. Lust. You are brimming in lust, unable to contain your arousal as proven by your leaking sex. “Bad sheep.” Caelus clicks his tongue again, caning your calf while relishing in how you choked out a gasp of pain.
It didn’t last long because Caelus has now given you what you want, pulling his cock out for you to see and drool at, hard red aching for attention. He gives it a few pumps before frotting it against your hole, his hand collecting all the leaking fluid from your sex as a lube for him to penetrate you.
“Now witness how I’m about to purify you dear. This is something I never do to anyone but my most lovely sheep.” This is what you have been waiting for, the purification that Caelus has never done to anyone but you. Your eyes rolled backward when you feel his tip entering you, his tentacles and hands keep you in place as you try to wriggle your way deeper into his cock.
“Patience, dear. Tell me, why are you indulging yourself in the idea of lusting over someone?” His gloved hands feel your bum, kneading it like dough before he makes you take his gloves off with your mouth. You diligently bite the leather and try to pull it off from his hand. Caelus chuckles at your attempt before pulling his hand off the glove and making you do the same to his other hand.
His fingers invade your mouth as he pulls your tongue out, his golden eyes gaze into yours in adoration, “God, why must you be so beautiful?” You can smell it, although his hands are clean, there is still a hint of smell of ink and old papers. Just before you can do anything, Caelus slams his cock into you completely, catching you off guard. You try to pull your tongue away from his grasp but fail horribly as he pulls you into a deep kiss instead.
Your moan is muffled by his tongue that is wrapping yours, his hips angled to hit that one spot that makes you curl your toes. You trashed against the tentacles that bind your hands until they let you go, allowing you to dig your fingernails into his toned back, leaving crescent moon shapes that threaten to cut his skin open, drawing blood out of him.
You are in dire need of air but you are also unwilling to break away from the heated kiss, hands keeping him close to you while you greedily taste him. Caelus smirks at the kiss and pinches your nipple, earning a gasp from you that allows him to break free from the kiss. He drags his thumb across the corner of his lip, wiping away the drool that is smeared on his lip.
His hands find their purchase on your hips again, holding you in place while he thrusts himself in and out into you, using you like a fleshlight. You are unsure about what he’s mumbling about but you seem to catch a few of his words.
“Mine to deflower.”
As though he is no longer the wise pastor you look up to, you now feel just how territorial he is with your whole well-being, not only a body used to chase his own pleasure but also a soul to keep him sane, proven by how you feel a pang of serenity in you again despite the idea of being fucked by the altar for God to witness.
“See this, my dear? This is the proof that you belong to me.” Caelus presses his palm on your bulged stomach, proving to you just how enormous his cock is, resting inside you. A yellow sign glows as his hand presses harder on your stomach, making you feel warm.
The tentacles invade your mouth again, unwilling to part from you while starting to spurt some sort of liquid into your mouth. Caelus’ pace picks up as well, his thrust deeper and faster while his breath grows raggier. Sweats drip down from his forehead while his tongue wet his lip from the sight of your spent-up face.
He wants you to come all over him and bless the altar with your essence and he will not stop until the deed is done.
ꕤ The Pastor is a gentle soul, his tentacles serve as a makeshift bed for you to rest while the suckers massage your sore muscles. His hand and eyes never leave you, oh how you love those Golden eyes of his with his ruffly black hair.
"Pastor, what if I am not as beautiful as the flower God loves?" You whisper out as he kisses your shoulder blade. Caelus taps his finger on your other shoulder while he hums out an answer, "You go down just like Holy Mary," he pauses to leave another kiss on your forehead, " and not just another Bloody Mary."
You cock your head in confusion, "What is that supposed to mean?" Caelus chuckles as he palms your face, "It means you are beautiful no matter what the circumstances are..." Caelus opens his mouth and bites your lower lip, "Whether you are pristine free of sins, or bathed in blood and wounds."
ꕤ Caelus has always been a man of many identities, nonetheless, he is a man who will always devote himself to you no matter what he identifies himself to be.
If you choose to run away with me, I will tickle you internally. And I see nothing wrong with that

A/N2: I want to preface this by saying that this fic does have religion/religious themes. This is not an accurate portrayal either, so please do not come for me-! I did grow up catholic but in my teen years became a full atheist so anything said in this fic is me recalling my childhood. Also, I googled bible verses because I don’t remember any and they were all in Spanish so, yeah. . .enjoy! :))

The bells rang throughout Fleur City, signaling the start of Sunday mass. The crowd gathered, rushing to find any available seats to sit down on. Those unfortunate would have to stand, as they did not dare miss the mass. Father Rollo was an exceptional man, his voice and words rang throughout the church and captivated everyone who was blessed to be in his presence. He handled himself professionally, standing with an upright posture and his head was always looking ahead. He was truly a man befitting to be god's messenger. Fleur City was fortunate to have Father Rollo, he was a man adored by his people and [Reader] was no different. They were locked on Father Rollo who strutted with confidence,
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you”
His eyes locked with [Reader]. They broke away from his eyes but could still feel his piercing eyes on them.
“I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Cheers erupted from within the church the moment he finished his sentence. Mass was shortly concluded after the church staff asked for donations. Plenty of people offered whatever they could spare, but it was appreciated. The church was emptying but a few others stayed behind to have a few words with Father Rollo. [Reader] stayed seated but looked over at Father Rollo from the corner of their eye. He was attending to the people and their needs, he truly was a virtuous man. They averted their gaze when they saw Father Rollo turn to them. He bid goodbye to the troubled crowd. His heeled shoes echoed loudly through the emptying church, stopping in front of [Reader].
“[Reader], good morning. How have you been?”
“Oh. . good morning, Father Rollo. I’ve been well, how about you?”
“It has been a pleasant morning so far and I can only pray that it shall remain that way. Though I will say, it’s certainly comforting knowing you’re here. I did not see you anywhere last week.”
“R-Right. . .my apologies. It certainly wasn’t my intention to miss last week’s mass, but I’m afraid I did end up catching a cold. It has since passed and I feel quite better.”
“ You ought to take care of yourself, [Reader]. It would be a shame if something terrible happened to you. You are, after all, our number one devotee here at the Church. It would be rather quiet and lonely if you were to go.”
“Ha ha, it was only a cold Father Rollo, not the plague. I assure you, I am fine. Besides, I’m pretty strong enough to handle an illness.”
[Reader] returned a smile to Rollo, whose face remained expressionless, but his eyebrows furrowed upwards in un-amusement.
“That you are, you have God’s protection as one of his children. Alas, I must be off. Till next we meet, [Reader].”
Rollo turned around and left the main hall, leaving [Reader] alone. It was only for a split second, but he turned around to gaze at them again.
[Reader] was in love with Rollo. Their greatest sin that would be known to the dead once they passed. They remember their first meeting, plain as day, unlike that stormy night where this story takes place.
There was a storm and it was pouring. The kind that people were warned to stay indoors because of the severity, yet here [Reader] was running to the middle of the town where the church lay. Their face was coated in rainwater which made it almost impossible to keep their eyes open, they were struggling to breathe, and the cold that accompanied the storm did little to help. They were staggering over to the Church.
“[READER!] GET BACK HERE NOW AND I MIGHT FORGIVE YOU!”
Panic rose and they didn’t dare look back, for if they did, surely it would be their last. They didn’t dare scream for help, because they knew their cries would be drowned by the storm. They finally made it to the center, running up the stairs of the cathedral, and lunged to the door. No surprise that it was locked.
“[READER]! STOP!”
“L-LEAVE ME ALONE! SANCTUARY, PLEASE GIVE ME SANCTUARY!”
[Reader] pleaded and began to hit the doors with all their might. The person who was no doubt chasing after them continued their pursuit. They were approaching the steps and soon, close enough to reach out to [Reader]. Just in the nick of time, the door opened enough for [Reader] to throw themselves inside. They landed on the cold stone floors and used whatever strength they had to scramble away from the door. They looked up to see a skinny man with a pale face, green-blue eyes, dark bags under his eyes, and silver hair behind the door. He was adorned in an ankle-long robe and wore black-heeled loafers. His outfit certainly was nothing too fancy, then again it was the middle of the night.
“S-Sanctuary! P-please, give me sanctuary!”
“What seems to be the matter-!?”
The man turned to them but was cut from the person chasing after [Reader].
“[Reader]! C’mere, now.”
The anger in his voice disappeared but there was sternness laced in his request. The silver-haired man turned to the other person. The storm showered them, and the mud that they tracked in did not go unnoticed by the silver-haired man.
“Forgive me. My name is Rollo Flamme, I am one of the priests here. May I ask what seems to be the issue? I certainly did not expect there to be anyone leisuring out in the streets with the storm raging outside.”
The silver-haired man, now named ‘Rollo’, asked. Rollo turned to the person outside with an unamused expression.
“Father Rollo, pardon the intrusion. You see, that person over there is named [Reader], they're my partner. My partner also suffers from an unstable state of mind. It would be best if we returned-!?”
“Father Rollo, is everything alright?”
They all turned to look at an elderly woman who no doubt worked for the church. Rollo shook his head and the woman took it as a sign to approach the door.
“Everything is alright here, there is no need for the both of you to concern yourselves over our issues. Me and [Reader] would be taking our leave-!?”
“I think not. It would be against everything we stand for if we turned away someone who came to this holy place and asked for sanctuary. I apologize, but I’ll be asking for you to leave. Madam, take this one,”
Rollo turned to face [Reader],
“This one inside. Run them a warm bath and please get them a fresh set of clothes. As for you, sir. . please leave.”
[Reader’s] partner scoffed and stepped forward,
“I wouldn’t recommend that.”
He stopped after Rollo’s warning. Soon, others started to arrive within the church, including the guards. [Reader’s] partner glared at Rollo but decided against their actions. They just scoffed and went outside. The church’s door was shut and locked following his departure.
[Reader] had been sitting on the floor, trying to steady their breathing. Rollo walked over to them and helped them off their feet.
“You’re safe here in the house of God, he cannot hurt you any longer.”
Rollo then walked away, moving people to their station leaving [Reader] alone with the Madam.
“Come child, let’s get you out of those freezing clothes and into a warm bath.”
That was the first time they met Rollo.
Several weeks later, [Reader] was still within the church and assisting in any way they could. They would sometimes join the community in cleaning the church, making meals to provide during the holidays, and so forth. They were currently helping the volunteers make bread until Rollo arrived in the kitchen.
“Good morning, Father Rollo! How may we assist you?”
The elderly woman asked Rollo, who turned to face her.
“Good morning, Madam. I see you’re all hard at work assisting the church so I won’t take up too much of your time. May I speak with [Reader]?”
At the mention of their name, [Reader] perked up. The Madam turned to them and asked,
“Of course, is that alright?”
[Reader] nodded, dropping their task and washing their hands. They turned to look at Rollo who nodded,
“This way, please.”
Rollo led the way to his office and closed the door once they were both inside. He turned to them and offered the chair across from his.
“Sit, please. Good morning, [Reader]. How are you this morning?”
“Father Rollo. . .great. This morning has been great so far, busy but no complaints from me yet! How about yours?”
“Fine, busy as well but such is life as God’s servant. Now, I wanted to discuss some things with you. The man that pursued you when you arrived at our doorsteps, I presume you would be content knowing that he has since left the town. He is no longer residing in Fleur City.”
[Reader] let out a sigh of relief, since the day they arrived at the steps of the cathedral they have been residing within it. All housing was provided by the church as well as their meals. They weren’t expected to assist with the chores at the church, but they felt it was the least they could do. They would leave to go into town occasionally but always went with a guide or a guard in case anything happened. Rollo had made arrangements for them to avoid any further issues. They weren’t aware that their partner who had tormented them relentlessly had left the city or had any plans to.
“Thank you. . . Father Rollo. I appreciate you informing me.”
“ Of course, now that he has permanently left Fleur City we can arrange to get you a small place within the city. Don’t worry, if you still wish to assist the Church it will be nearby and the place will be within the guard's post. The area will be carefully monitored and maintained.”
“Father Rollo. . that’s too much. I appreciate all you have done since that day, but asking for my living quarters would be too much-!”
“Nonsense. You requested sanctuary from the church and since then, we have worked hard to provide that for you. It’s no trouble at all, you’re a precious child of God after all and he never abandons his children.”
Rollo faced [Reader] who was deep in thought. A place to stay without the haunting memories of their partner who could care less about them. [Reader] turned their gaze to Rollo and smiled,
“Thank you for your kindness, Father Rollo.”
From then, [Reader] had been living in the house provided by the church. Their place was warm and cozy, but most importantly, theirs. As days went by, [Reader] continued to attend weekly mass and stayed behind to help the community with events. Though Rollo was a well-known priest, he certainly wasn’t the only one present in the cathedral. The community had gotten together to thank the priests and were thinking of how to repay each one. The madam took the request and decided to host a small celebration for them with food and games for the community.
The entire town was invited to attend and they did, for there was no greater honor than celebrating their townsmen. Rollo stood in the center, overseeing the event rather than partaking in it like the other priests. He saw how his colleagues engaged with the town, his eyes were trained on them. They had no problem mingling with others and taking the front while Rollo chose to stay behind.
“Are you not enjoying yourself, Father Rollo?”
He turned to the voice, it was [Reader].
“I am, but conversing with others isn’t something I do quite well at. I leave that task, to the others. What about you, [Reader]?”
“Oh, I am as well. I too, don’t tend to mingle with others, at least not in events like this. It’s still taking me a while to adjust to being in control of my own life.”
Rollo spared a glance at [Reader] who sadly reminisced. Their partner would often take control of the conversation and not allow [Reader] to speak. They would often leave [Reader] in social gatherings to fend for themselves and never acknowledge their feelings. After a while and per their adored partner’s request, stopped leaving their shared home. This resulted in [Reader] self-isolating.
“I see. Often, just being in the company of someone you trust is more than enough at events like these. However I do hope that moving forward, we can heal from the past.”
Socializing wasn’t his strong suit; if he did, it was always formal and respectful. There was no time for jokes or silly banter, that is why Rollo helped Fleur City behind the scenes. He handled all formal matters while the others tended to the city with their words and charisma. Even now, his words of comfort were formal and didn’t properly convey his feelings.
“One day, I will join the crowd again and this time, maybe I can take you with me, Father Rollo. Oh, by the way, I have something for you.”
Rollo faced [Reader] who was looking into their pocket.
“Here! I know it doesn’t mean much and it’s certainly a very cheap gift, but I want to express my gratitude. Thank you for all that you’ve done, Father Rollo. Without you, I don’t think I would be here with the Madam and the Town, so thank you.”
He looked at his hands to see a wine-red handkerchief with purple embroidery on the outer edges, his name was woven into the corner. It was a simple gift really, but the difference with most gifts that he received was that this was hand-made. Handmade with love, love from the person that he cared the most about. Rollo stammered,
“T-Thank you, I shall keep this with me at all times. It’s lovely, [Reader].”
[Reader] turned to see his eyes gazing deeply at theirs. It was different, unlike a small expression of gratitude with professionalism laced Rollo’s eyes betrayed him. Behind his eyes, desire and love peeked through, even if it was for a split moment.
“Of course. . .my pleasure, Father Rollo.”
Rollo was called shortly after to attend to a matter within the cathedral, but before parting from [Reader], he promised he would return promptly. Rollo left and attended the matter fairly quickly, but before leaving to meet up with [Reader], he walked to his office. Locking the door, he took out the handkerchief and brought it up to his nose, inhaling the sweet scent from it.
‘[Reader]’
Rollo recalled the memory of when he first laid eyes on them. It wasn’t anything too special, he was just in town when he stumbled upon them. Rollo has observed throughout his life all the filth from others and their actions. [Reader] had remained a pure innocent soul devoid of any sins.
‘ Humans are sinful creatures and  that is why we exist. . .’
Rollo had engraved that concept into his mind. There are 7 sins within mankind - pride, wrath, envy, gluttony, sloth, greed, and lust. Humans will lie, cheat, steal, manipulate, and take advantage of others for personal greed. In reality, society has failed itself and remains to be a stain on this world. [Reader] was a positive chum, but was a sight to behold in a world of sin.
Rollo was walking through town, which was a rare sight considering the only place you could glance at him would be in the cathedral. He noticed hidden behind a stall that there was a child, looking confused and scared.
‘ No doubt lost.’
Rollo thought to himself but did not step forward just yet. He recalled a conversation he had with the Madam, a woman whom he respected as she was not like the others either. She had devoted herself to the church and helping others after the passing of her husband.  She would confess that no human was free of sin, but that didn’t mean that they were undeserving of God’s love and a place in his kingdom. It was silly, but he remembered what he told her after,
“You’re right Madam, everyone is worthy of God’s love. Though do not underestimate humanity’s free will, some of them choose to sin and relish in their filth.”
The madam shook her head and reminded Rollo that he should not be so quick to place judgment on others, but it was futile.
He recalled that memory as he saw the scene displayed in front of him, a defenseless child turning to adults begging for help. Those same ‘adults’ had brushed the child off and some even as far to push the child away.
“P-Please, I can’t find my mommy-”
“Not interested.”
“Stay clear of the road! Damn, brats. . .”
‘Are these the same people who deserve God’s love, Madam?’
Rollo began walking to the child but stopped when he noticed another individual walk up to the child,
“My name is [Reader], are you lost? Did you lose your parents?”
The child nodded and [Reader] lightly brushed the tears that were forming away,
“I see, well let me try to help you find them. When did you see them last?”
“I saw my mommy over there. . .”
The child pointed towards the growing crowd. In theory, this mother could be anywhere but if she was observant then no doubt she noticed her child missing. [Reader] nodded and held out their hand to the child, asking permission to hold their hand. The child allowed it, letting [Reader] lead them into the crowd. The child's grip tightened, afraid to lose their newfound savior. Rollo followed them, wanting to make sure that this child wasn’t going to be kidnapped. He saw how ‘[Reader]’ was holding onto the child and stopping in the area, asking the child if they saw their mother. When the child shook their head, [Reader] would begin calling out if someone lost their child. The town was busy and [Reader’s] cries were lost to the wind, but they did not lose their determination. After half an hour, Rollo heard a woman frantically calling out what was probably the child's name as the child perked up at the mention of it. [Reader] carefully maneuvered their way across the crowd to reunite the mother and child. Rollo witnessed the scene of the mother and child holding each other close, the mother turning to [Reader] and thanking them, and [Reader] reassuring them. Rollo scoffed, one person was not enough to persuade his mind that humanity was any different. It didn’t just stop there, weeks after the incident they had another run-in with them - at a distance, of course.
[Reader] was in the market with the intent of buying groceries, but instead offered to help the people at the stands. It was a never-ending cycle, when they finished their task another person went to them asking for help.
‘They’re a fool, they’re being taken advantage of by the others-’
“I’m sorry, I wouldn’t mind helping but I haven’t finished my shopping. When I finish and if you still need help I can come back.”
“Oh, I’m sorry [Reader], I didn’t mean to take up your time! It’s fine if you can’t, but thank you anyway.”
[Reader] politely excused themselves and finished their shopping. A couple of instances off the top of his head that Rollo remembered, [Reader] buying food for a beggar on the street, helping an elderly person cross the street, helping a cat out of their collar once they noticed it was choking from it, and when they helped stitch back up a child's toy once it was ruined. Rollo was getting irritated at this point,
‘Madam, I swear it’s like you enjoy tormenting me. . .are you trying to prove a point?’
The scowl written on his face was unwavering as he continued to observe this happy-go-lucky person. He managed to overhear the conversation between [Reader] and another person.
“You’re so nice [Reader], it’s so rare to find someone who cares about people the way you do!”
“You think so? I don’t think I am doing anything too grand, I just do what comes normal to me.”
“Yes! You have a heart of gold, I mean you offer to help when needed. You should be careful though, people out there would take advantage of that kindness.”
“Hm, I guess. I mean, I just do what I can but if it’s too much or something I can’t do I’m not opposed to saying no. I think a lot of people just think I’m too nice because they’re just used to being treated with little kindness. I don’t want to be a bystander if I can do something. I hold the door for people if they’re close and I’m not going to shut the door on them, it’s not like it takes too much time.”
“Aw, you’re so nice.”
“I don’t think so, I mean would you shut the door on me if I was behind you?”
“Well. . .”
“Then you’re just too mean.”
[Reader] and the person exchanged a laugh before parting ways. Rollo stood still and turned to see [Reader] back in the distance, leaving the marketplace. His resolve didn’t sway, humans were still corrupt and undeserving of salvation, the only difference now was that there was an exception. Rollo would be lying if he sometimes didn’t go into town to glance at [Reader] and if he was lucky enough, he would be there at the same time. Over months though, he began to see less and less of them. He started to worry a bit, for the first weeks he chalked it up to [Reader] wanting time away from town but was surprised to know that nobody had seen them in the market for a month. Rollo approached a vendor, starting small talk,
“Good morning, Father Rollo. How do you do today?”
“I’m quite fine, thank you for asking. How about yourself?”
“Aw well, same! Business has been booming but I haven’t seen my top customer in a while!”
“Oh, and who is that?”
“[Reader]! They’re a sweet thing but suddenly stopped coming into town. I won’t lie, I am a little worried about them.”
“[Reader]? I don’t believe I’ve seen them at mass. . .”
“]Reader] used to go if I remember correctly, but I’m not too sure. I know they used to into town daily, aside from their work they loved to walk around the city. I think they stopped coming out as much a year or two ago, sometimes though they’ll come daily but it’s so rare when they do! I’m not quite sure why-!”
“It’s because of their partner!”
Rollo and the vendor turned to another person, an elderly lady who had joined the conversation.
“Their partner. . .?”
Rollo questioned,
“Yes! At first, it was sweet. They met at [Readers’s] work and instantly became close, I would sometimes frequent their workplace you see. Their partner treated them with so much kindness but after a while, it was plain as day, he was isolating them! I remember I was walking home when I overheard them get into an argument, he wanted [Reader] to quit their job. [Reader] refused and that was the end of it, I’m not sure how they managed to persuade him because all I could hear was his yelling. After a while, [Reader] didn’t come to work and I thought they did quit, but when they came back they weren’t the same. They were still kind as ever, but you could tell something was off. Whenever they do come into town, it’s because their partner isn’t in Fleur City. I heard he sometimes goes back to take care of his ill parents.”
Rollo was conflicted, who was this woman to be spreading such personal information of theirs but he had to thank her, without her, he never would have come to realize what needed to be done. Rollo had to admit, over the time he spent observing [Reader] he did become enamored with them. One true nature is revealed in several ways, how one presents oneself, their thoughts and actions, and what one preaches. Their nature had long been revealed, [Reader] was the only person whom Rollo believed was deserving of God’s love and he would not let them become a martyr for those deserving the flames of hell.
Rollo set his plan in motion. He carefully wrote a letter and paid someone who the town would never recognize to deliver it into the hands of [Reader’s] partner. Their partner read the contents and before they could react, the person who delivered it had vanished to report to Rollo.
“It’s been done?”
“Yes, Father Rollo. May I ask though, what do you plan-”
“That’s enough, you needn't worry about the content of the letter. Your task was to deliver, which you have. You’re free to go.”
The man excused himself, leaving Rollo at his desk with his elbows propped but his hands were close together. He was deep in thought,
“He would be wise to appear later tonight if he truly cares for his parents.”
Later that night, their partner had walked down to the waterways. There, they met a cloaked individual.
“Are you the one who sent me that letter? Who the fuck do you think you are to threaten my family-!”
“I wouldn’t if I were you.”
The cloaked individual placed their hand out, to halt them from coming closer. They used that same hand to point upwards. When [Reader’s] partner looked up, they were met with several shadows who were not afraid to display their weapons.
“What do you want?”
Their partner scoffed out. The cloaked individual spoke out,
“You have a partner by the name of [Reader]. Let’s just say that they owe me something, that being said it’s hard for us to come in contact with one another. This is where you come in, I need you to lure them into town. Do it on a rainy day, when there are fewer people to overhear, but I need you to lure them to the center of town. Make sure that nobody sees you two or asks about you, do you understand?”
“What do they owe you-?!”
“That’s none of your concern! Just, lure them into the center of the town. My men will be watching to make sure no one interferes but remember, if someone comes to find out about this plan. Well, you know what will happen to your family, understood?”
Their partner gulped in fear and nodded,
“You may go, and remember to not tell a single soul about this. I’ll always be listening.”
They remained still for a brief moment, processing the words of the individual, before running out. Once they were out of sight, the person removed their cloak. Rollo stood in the center, looking at the moon and breathing out a sigh of relief. Those armed shadows turned to Rollo and asked,
“Father Rollo, may I ask who that man is?”
“Just someone this world would be better without. Keep me updated on his location and if he says anything. Remember, this is all to protect Fleur City.”
Rollo disappeared within the waterways.
Rollo approached the fireplace in his office and looked down at the handkerchief once more before tenderly caressing it into his face.
“[Reader], I’ll repeat your name over and over like a prayer, I’d never tire of it. . .if only you knew of all things I did for you to be by my side. . .”
The memory rolled over in his head,
“There is a storm coming, we should make preparations in case of anything.”
“Oh, you’re always so diligent and a step ahead, Father Rollo.”
“Madam, one can never be too prepared.”
The madam shook her head at Rollo’s comments but carried out his request. He had stood in preparation for anything. If what was revealed was true, then [Reader] was certainly being isolated by their partner. Their abusive partner would take advantage of another. That being said, he planned to make it so that they lured [Reader] out into the center of town, where the cathedral lay. Their partner may not know it as he was certain he had never seen him before but [Reader] should. They would request sanctuary from the church and there, He would be by the door, awaiting his beloved with open arms.
Before he knew it, he could hear the shouts and screams outside the door.
“Sanctuary, give me sanctuary!”
Before long, Rollo had opened the door and with a perfect facade, displayed concern. He could tell the way their partner trembled that he had feared for his family, he was caught by the church. Their partner had no choice but to flee the scene with their tail between his legs. After Rollo instructed the Madam to watch over [Reader], Rollo had the guards chase after their partner. In the meantime, Rollo had placed his cloak on and made his way to the outskirts of town where he was being held.
“L-Let me go! Damn it, it wasn’t my fault-!”
“Didn’t I tell you not to let anyone interfere?”
“I-it wasn’t my fault! The church and that stupid priest got in the way! P-please leave my f-family alone-!”
Rollo removed his cloak and presented himself to their ex-partner.
“Y-you!?”
“Don’t worry, your family won’t suffer. Though I will admit, I didn’t think you would go through with sacrificing them.”
“Y-You threatened my family, w-why wouldn’t I?”
“I suppose there is some logic to that reason. Tell me, did you even love them?”
“W-what? I-I suppose I did?”
“You suppose? You’re not certain?”
Rollo questioned them further,
“I mean yes! Yes, I did love them! W-what does this have to do with anything, you said they owed you something no-?”
“ No, they don’t. I did this more to see what you would do and you played right into it. Once again, I was proved right. Humanity is undeserving of God’s love and salvation, you’re all just scum that turn against each other at any moment it’s convenient. You disgust me.”
“Y-You did this to prove a point!? Y-You think I won’t reveal to the townspeople who their beloved priest is?”
“Not very intelligent either, are you? I’m not worried, because this is where judgment shall be passed onto you. This goes a little deeper than what you think, but no matter. I hereby declare you, guilty, and your sentence, punished by death. Dispose of him.”
Rollo turned around, ignoring the pleas of that man. He did turn around to see their execution, before turning back.
“We shall burn his body, but in the meantime place him somewhere no one will find out. Oh and, arrange for someone to take care of his parents. Hire a doctor to live with them.”
The others nodded and carried out the order. Rollo headed back to town with a clear conscious.
His attention remained on the flames. They had burned his body and afterward, devised a plan to break the news to his parents.  As far as they were concerned, he had passed away from a natural cause but because he was such a good member of the church, he was able to have a doctor stay with them full-time. He placed a chaste kiss on the handkerchief,
‘This burning desire is turning me to sin. . .’
Rollo was sitting at the Confessional and while he was a man of God, he was also human. Like humans, he was running short of his patience. Father Rollo was a devoted man to his occupation, but of course, even messengers of God need time of their own. He was covering for another priest, Father Phoebus, who unexpectedly became ill. Rollo’s face turned into one of annoyance and anger, he was certain that the priest wasn’t ill but rather skipping out on his duties.
‘ No matter, confession ends in about 10 minutes. . .I just need to hold out till then.’
Rollo’s optimistic outlook was shattered the moment he heard someone else sit on the other side of the confessional. He rolled his eyes before turning to the wooden lattice opening but stiffened when he saw it was [Reader]. Luckily, this confessional was designed so that the priest would be hidden away and the penitent was visible.
“I do apologize for coming in so late, Father Phoebus. . but I would like to confess my sins.”
Rollo cleared his throat,
“Of course, please, confess to me what ails you.”
He placed his gaze at [Reader], who remained unaware that instead of Father Phoebus, it was Rollo.
“Right, to be honest, I’m not quite sure where to begin. All I know is, I’m committing a grave sin. I ... . .in love with a man that I cannot have. He is married to a vow.”
Rollo’s breath hitched, turned to stare at [Reader] who looked down in regret and disappointment.
“M-married? May I ask, which vow this man is married to?”
[Reader] stiffened at the question,
“Father Phoebus. . .it's Father Rollo who I am enamored with. He is God's messenger and as such, I know my feelings will never be reciprocated yet! Yet, I can’t help but still love him.”
Rollo knew that Reader required guidance and genuine support, but he couldn’t help the need or desire after hearing that the one he loved also felt the same. He pulled out the wine-red handkerchief with the beautiful purple embroidery that outlined the cloth and spelled his name on the corner. He knew it was wrong, but he couldn’t help it as his dick hardened at the idea of [Reader].
“T-tell me, how much you love him?”
Rollo swallowed the lump in his throat.
“O-Oh w-well. . .”
It was an awkward question no doubt so there was some resistance from [Reader]. Rollo pressed on,
“I would like to know how deep your admiration goes so that I c-can properly guide you.”
“R-right. . well, I love him. At first, I thought it was just admiration because he helped me get back on my feet. When I gave him his handkerchief, I saw more than a simple thanks on his face, but a face of genuine gratitude, which made me fall deeper. I know he’s only being kind to me because it’s the right thing to do and not because of any special treatment, but I can’t help but-”
Rollo continued to listen to their feelings, but he would be lying if he said that he wasn’t thinking about stroking his cock to their voice. Rollo had never experienced such feelings towards anyone before, but after meeting [Reader] he became a victim of the sin of greed and lust.
“Though I will admit, maybe the reason I love him is because I feel safe and secure with him. With my past partner, I didn’t feel the same sense of security. I did at first, but after a while, they became the aggressor. I’m not sure why I didn’t leave immediately after and I kept beating myself up about but Father Rollo, assured me that it was not my fault. He was so kind and understanding, it was different from the others who told me something similar. It was sincere from both sides, but with him it was. . it was different.”
When they finished confessing, Rollo spoke,
“I don’t think you should be ashamed of your feelings. It’s a natural human thing to feel, love that is. You’re right, Father Rollo is a man tied to an oath by the Church. Under the eyes of God, he may not reciprocate your feelings but that doesn’t mean he would see you any less different. Your sins are forgiven, my child.”
[Reader] nodded and bid farewell to ‘Father Phoebus’. Rollo watched their figure retreat and let out a breath of relief. Though he could not stop the pounding in his heart nor the tent in his pants.
“F-Fuck! [R-Reader]-!”
Rollo had retreated to his office once confessions were over, there he had his handkerchief wrapped around his dick, jerking himself off. The one that he loved felt the same for him but he was sure their love was not the same as his obsession with them. Such a pure and innocent crush on him whereas he shamefully was stroking his cock to the idea of touching them.
“Ha. . ha. . wanna t-touch you, fuck-!”
He threw his head back at the pleasure, how would [Reader] react to seeing their beloved Father Rollo fuck the handkerchief that they had gifted him. His orgasm was approaching and his whines were getting louder, he leaned over his table and spilled his seed onto the wine-red cloth, sweat adorning his face. He let out a sigh of relief and sat down on his chair. He thought of [Reader] and this new found confession. Rollo’s mind was made up.
“I think we’re all good to go, [Reader] we’re heading out now!”
“Have a good night!”
[Reader] bid the other church volunteers farewell before giving the church one last good look. They were about to grab their things to depart as well before the doors opened. They turned to look at Father Rollo, who emerged from his office.
“F-Father Rollo. . .what brings you out here so late?”
“I’m just giving the Church one final look, but I did hope to catch you before you left.”
“Me?”
“Yes, come [Reader], take a walk with me.”
[Reader] approached Rollo and their walk began. He was taking them across the Cathedral to put out the candles.
“I know it’s been a while, but how have you been enjoying yourself in Fleur City?”
“Oh, just fine! Thank you again, for all that you’ve done of course. It certainly feels amazing being able to freely leave and return without being shackled down. Not to mention, it’s a lot more eventful than I remember.”
“I see, Father Pheobus has attempted to get more events hosted by the church. He would like the city to get together once in a while. It’s something new that he has been doing, but it seems that the townspeople enjoy it.”
“That they do, may I ask, Father Rollo? Do you not like to get involved in events like these?”
The main hall of the Cathedral was darkening with each step,
“I wouldn’t say I dislike it. Socializing with others isn’t my strong suit, I tend to other matters that I excel at rather than mistakenly saying something I don’t mean.”
[Reader] had noticed that Rollo tended to stay in the shadows and only speak when something needed to be said. If someone approached him and tried conversing, Rollo would maintain the utmost professionalism. He wasn’t one for idle chatter but never turned someone down if they wanted to have a word with him. Rollo continued his task, with [Reader] following close behind.
“That’s fair. Sometimes not saying anything is the proper response, but I can see how that may stress you out. After all, you are a priest and everyone’s eyes are on you. Sorry, don’t mean to add to the pressure either.”
As the candles were extinguished one by one, Rollo’s heels added to the ominous vibe that the Cathedral was giving.
“You’re right, [Reader]. As a priest, all their eyes are on me waiting to hear what I  say but as such, my eyes are also on them. Despite what I preach, I believe that not everyone is capable of salvation. Humans are not devoid of sin, that is the truth. Though we are created in God’s image, we certainly are not perfect. There are those where their sins are mistakes and nothing more. Then some’s sins are perfectly under their control yet still choose to see nothing wrong in their actions. You can have that outlier where one of those wishes to repent and truly feel regret, but then some parade around shamelessly into God’s house asking for forgiveness. It’s laughable.”
[Reader] remained silent. There was nothing they could say because ultimately, Father Rollo was right to some degree. Though they would be lying if they weren’t off-put by his sudden change.
“ Did you know that the baker is having an affair? Ongoing for four years actually, yet he never fails to bring his wife and kids into mass every Sunday morning, thanking God for allowing them to live the way they do. They recently had their marriage anniversary, married for 10 years to be exact. I remember I was the one who renewed their vows. His words still ring in my head,”
“I will love you forever and until the end. You’re the pillar that provides me with the strength to keep going. I would never want another partner other than you, the woman I chose to be the mother of my children. I thank God for this blessing that is you, my love.”
“How romantic, don’t you think? That same night he went back to his other partner, claiming that they had a big order for an event and he needed to be one step ahead of the game. How could I forget the previous head of the Orphanage, asking for food to provide for the children? The church and townspeople helped with what they could, but every time those children would come into mass they remained as thin as ever but the head remained full and content. It wasn’t until I stepped in and of course, led an investigation to find out that he was starving the kids and eating all the food. Now the orphanage is under the care of the Church, to be more specific, under my direct care. Don’t you see how happy those children are every time you come to mass? I even remember when Madam first came to the church, she told us the story of her husband's passing. She and her beloved husband were walking back home when an armed assailant was waiting for them, upon asking for their valuables he stabbed her husband over 27 times before fleeing. When the man was caught, he was just a petty thief who confessed to the crime. Their reasoning was they had no need to steal but got a kick out of watching the fear in the eyes of the defenseless manifest and to make matters worse, this was his first time killing since he never dared to do it before. What could an elderly man do to him had he chosen to fight back, nothing. That same thief pleaded with God before his execution that I had carried out, to spare him.”
By the time Rollo had gotten to his part in his talk, almost all the candles were out except for four in the front of the altar. There Rollo turned around, facing [Reader] who stood in the middle closest to the altar. He was closest to the church doors but that area had been pitch black. He continued his speech and though he did not pose a threat to [Reader], yet, They couldn’t help the goosebumps that were forming on their skin and the sudden draft within the Cathedral.
“Of course, the world is not black and white. There is no right or wrong, for if there was I too would have been punished. It’s not practical for me to base my distaste of humanity on a few bad apples, Madam, even after everything she went through still says that everyone deserves salvation but it’s like you said, [Reader]. We’re all so used to this world the way it is that a simple act of kindness, normalcy if you will, is considered a rarity.”
[Reader] had recalled when they told that vendor that, those were their words and they still stood by it. The only thing was, they told that to the vendor, not Rollo. They shakily took a step back but kept their eyes trained on Rollo. He noticed their expression as well as their stance, but it was no use. The door to the church was locked and only Rollo had the key. He took a step forward, emerging from the darkness and [Reader] took a step back.
“F-Father Rollo. . is this what you wanted to talk to me about? Sorry. . I just don’t know how this relates to me. . .”
He let out a chuckle,
“ You asked why I don’t like to get involved, right? That is my answer. It’s hard to get involved when I am surrounded by the same people I wish I could condemn. However, you are different. I’ll let you in on a little secret, I too have been keeping an eye on you long before we officially met.  You treated everyone with kindness even those that did not deserve it. You remained as human as possible, someone who could voice their feelings and care for everyone equally, even yourself. It was a sight for sore eyes, like an angel in a sea of devils. You tried your best and worked hard, but you knew what you could and couldn’t do. You were even starting to make me regain hope in this world but I quickly noticed that warm light inside of you start to flicker. It was all because of him, [Partner’s Name]. He had slowly started to dim that warm light inside of you and I couldn’t do anything, or so I thought. Your partner driving you out of your home was not accidental,  I can assure you. I had him lure you here, into the Church. There, I was able to save you from him.”
[Reader’s] breath hitched. They had always assumed that all the events that led up to now were a mere coincidence, life just being its usual confusing self. It was not unusual for their partner to enter their shared home and demand things, bossing them around. They had assumed that it was the usual same old story. This didn’t change how they saw their partner and their relief that he was no longer in their life, but it changed their perception of Rollo. Had Rollo orchestrated their whole thing? Since when? For how long? Most importantly, for what?
“Since we are in a church, I might as well confess. I have kept my eye on every single Fleur citizen since I became a priest, but I have kept my eye on you for months now. It’s hard for me to communicate with everyone, but not you [Reader]. Since I’ve been admiring you from a distance, I’ve come to love you. I love your person and your way of being. Your kindness, your truth, your struggles, everything about you I have come to love.”
By now, [Reader] was up against the altar with Rollo standing in front of them. Both were illuminated by the remaining candles, his hand reached out to caress their cheek.
“I’ve come to love everything about you, [Reader], even the parts that you aren’t aware of. I’ll remain to love them as well, for there is no one else.”
“F-Father R-Rollo, I-!”
He leaned closer to them, his piercing blue-green eyes staring into [Readers] fearful and confused ones. He placed a kiss on their lips, tilting their head back to get a better angle. Seconds passed before he lifted his lips from them,
“. .And if you were to fall into sin, let it be by my hands.”
Conflicted could not begin to describe it. The person they loved reciprocated their feelings, so much that they kissed at this very moment. Though logically speaking, Rollo had just admitted to orchestrating the whole thing. Who knew what was the truth and what was a lie? Did their partner move? Was it willingly? Most importantly, did it matter? Sure, maybe there was a time when logic was sound but that time wasn’t right now. Thinking with their heart, [Reader] kissed back. They shared a deep and sensual kiss that neither one dared to break. Rollo pushed his body up against [Reader], grinding into them. The altar luckily wasn’t too high, but there were small steps on either side that allowed them to effortlessly get on the altar. Rollo managed to push their back flat against the cold marbled table,
“F-Father R-Rollo, are you sure? Y-you’re a man with a vow and-”
“[Reader], I love you.”
Their eyes widened once more at the confession and looking up, they weren’t meant with the Rollo they knew. He was no longer stoic and professional, this Rollo was vulnerable. His cheeks were flushed pink as he straddled [Reader’s] hips. His body loomed over theirs and his hands went to open their top. His eyes were glossed over with love and desire. [Reader’s] top was opened to expose their chest and his hands lightly touched their skin. His cold fingers trailed from their neck, chest, and lastly their nipples. Rollo let out a shaky sigh,
“I love you. Let me worship you, with God as my witness let me prove my devotion to you. .”
Rollo’s lips neared [Reader’s] and they exchanged a kiss. He lightly bit on their bottom lip, asking for permission to further taste them. A moan escaped [Reader] but they opened their mouth to allow his tongue inside. Rollo pressed himself further into [Reader], afraid to let go. Needing air, [Reader] placed their hands on his clothed chest, pushing against it. Releasing their lips, Rollo straightened but released a breathy moan. [Reader] could see the warmth spreading across his pale skin, but could also feel his growing bulge. Rollo began to lean back down but stopped when [Reader] went to open his top. He allowed them to strip him of his shirt, allowing his pale chest to be exposed.
“I want to see you too, R-Rollo. . .”
The tip of his ears turned pink at the comment. He leaned down to their neck, licking up and down. Nibbling and biting down to create hickeys. His lips trailed down, kissing the skin around the newly formed hickey and down to their chest. Moans spilled from both Rollo and [Reader], the pleasure shared between the two. His tongue swirled around their nipple, lightly biting and sucking on them. [Reader] tenderly held Rollo’s head as he worked on their chest. Shaky breaths echoed throughout the Cathedral.
“F-Fuck. . R-Rollo-!”
Rollo lifted himself from their chest and saw the bright pink/red circular marks all across their chest.
“Not enough. . .it’s not e-enough. . “
Rollo leaned back down, kissing down to their navel area. His hands played with their bottoms, opening them agonizingly slow. He pulled them down their legs and he shifted back, making sure he could properly remove them.
“F-Fuck, y-your sex. . .”
Rollo’s shaky moans slipped out, he stared in awe at [Reader’s] aroused sex. He shifted back before nearing their sex and inhaling their scent. Rollo’s fingers carefully touched around, going to their most sensitive spot and circling his finger around.
“R-Rollo…right there…feels good….”
Rollo nodded, continuing to circle his finger. After a while he leaned down, placing his tongue on their sensitive spot. He licked around, replacing the movement of his finger, and began to lick up and down. [Reader] let out soft moans and breaths as he continued pleasuring them. He began to kiss, suck, lick, pinch, and stroke their sensitive bits. Rollo took a break to lick his fingers and pushed them against [Reader’s] hole. Lightly inserting a finger inside, feeling them clench around it.
“Do you lust for me. . the same way I lust for you?”
“ I-I’ve a-always wanted you-ngh!”
Though Rollo wasn’t attending to their sex with his mouth, he was still reaching inside them with his fingers. Slipping a second finger to curl up against that soft spot inside them, pumping rhythmically. Rollo leaned back down, placing his mouth back on their sex. Rollo himself wasn’t too experienced, but based on their sounds, he knew more or so where to touch. His long slender fingers managed to reach thoroughly and the stimulation with his tongue was overwhelming.
“F-Fuck Rollo, g-gonna cum-!”
Rollo continued to abuse their sex, giving them that final push needed to orgasm. Rollo’s face was drenched with drool and cum, but still managed to swallow everything that they released. He unbuttoned his pants, releasing his cock that was already leaking pre-cum. He wrapped his hands around it, stroking himself.
“Can I-fuck! P-put it inside you. . .?”
Rollo’s half-lidded eyes pleaded with [Reader’s], begging to fuck them.  [Reader] propped themself up with their elbow, sat up, and kissed him. Rollo leaned forward to reciprocate. They placed their hands on his cheeks and lightly caressed,
“You may. . .but can I. .be on top?”
Rollo softly nodded, letting [Reader] guide him to lie down on the altar instead. [Reader] went to stimulate his already hard dick, but wrapped their hands around it and jerk him, smearing his pre-cum around. They licked their fingers and trailed them down to their hole, lightly fingering themselves to adjust to his size. They scissored themself and when they were ready, hovered over his cock. They lowered themselves onto Rollo’s cock, clenching down on his dick.
“F-Fuck you’re tight-!”
Rollo threw his head back at the sensation and his hands reached to hold [Reader’s] hip. [Reader] stayed still to adjust to his size but after a while, began to move. Riding his cock, [Reader] threw their head back as breaths left them, their back slowly arching. Rollo thrust, matching their pace as well. One of his hands moved to their sex, stimulating it at the same pace.
Aside from the candles, the moonlight entered the Cathedral through the stained glass. The hue of the deep blues and purples reflected off their skin, creating an almost angelic glow. Their moans and whines echoed throughout the church, Rollo’s back was on the altar and his body coated in sweat. His eyes glossed over with tears, looking over at [Reader] who fared the same. Their body was sweaty and warm, their movements were slowing with time. Rollo’s thrust became more erratic, reaching deeper into [Reader].
“I-I’m close-! F-Fuck, f-feels s-so good-! Rollo!”
Mewls spilled out of [Reader]’s mouth.
“M-Me too-! I-I love you! L-Love you so much! God, I love you so much, [Reader]!”
“I l-love you too, R-Rollo-!”
With their final declaration of love, [Reader] came all over Rollo and he came deep inside of them. Their deep breaths were heard throughout the cathedral. [Reader] slumped on top of Rollo with his cock still inside them. They nuzzled into Rollo’s neck, peppering light kisses.
“Love you s’much, Rollo.”
“I love you too. . .[Reader].”
His arms wrapped around them, pressing them closer into him. They stayed like that for a while, before [Reader] perked up, looking at his face.
“I-I do have a question though. . .did you know that I liked you?”
Rollo looked down to see their curious gaze, he adverted his eyes with a blush staining his cheeks.
“It. . .it wasn’t Father Pheobus in the Confessional. It. . .it was me. . .”
[Readers] face fell,
“S-SO I CONFESSED TO YOU?”
[Reader] buried their face in his neck, Rollo let out a soft smile at their antics.
“That you did. Though I am glad, without you confessing to me, this never would have happened.”
Still buried in his neck, they mumbled a couple of words.
“I love you. . .”
Rollo, of course, said it back. He could hear their soft snores, they had passed out from exhaustion. Only one thought lay in his mind, there was no one else other than him that could preserve the purity within [Reader].
‘If hellfire must consume me, so be it. I will never let anyone else take you away from me. Your purity is for me to preserve and to taint, no one else.’
This was only the beginning of the tragic tell that would come about to Twisted Wonderland. The story of the righteous priest and judge who burned down Fleur City, all because of their desire for someone they could never truly have.
A/N: So that was a long one. . .how we feeling? I don’t think I will ever write a part 2, sorry :(( UNLESS I get inspiration but I do want to write headcanons for him so maybe? (and yeah a sequel is in the works).
as always, comments and reblogs have me writing faster and better!
have a nice day!
SUMMARY: in times of need you found yourself praying to the god in the woods
An idea hit you as you are suddenly reminded of your mother’s trips in the woods to pray as the house in which you had all lived hadn’t been built near the village and hence she couldn’t go to the temple; she had made with what she had and she had a few times brought you to pray upon the altair.  You hadn’t ever cared about such things - not as a child, too busy observing everything and playing games, not as an adult, when hunger and tiredness where all you felt - but you now understood the search for comfort as you assured yourself that both children are deep sleep before you slink into the night, directed towards the forest. And maybe it was the fact that you wish to disappear not unlike your father or to search for comfort in nature… Either way you found yourself on your knees, praying to a god whose name you don’t know and promising everything if only he helped your brothers - and you - survive. “I don’t ask much but a modest life and a bit to tend to” you weren’t lazy, nor stupid and the wind that blows seemed to say ‘what will you give me then?’ “Everything. Everything I am and everything I own”.
WARNINGS: mention of death, injuries, blood, animal death and such, pre-relationship, gothic and fairytale elements, she/her pronouns - afab character.
Tumblr media
Last winter had taken a toll on the village and especially on your family.
Your mother had been long gone when your father hadn’t one day come back from a hunting trip.
This meant that you had been left alone caring for your boyfriends as it seemed like everybody was convinced that bad luck followed your family.
Left without parents, you had tried to handle the housekeeping and hunting, mostly growing the small garden in the back of your house and taking care of the few animals left alive by the intense cold that had just begun to thwart the income of a shy spring.
Whatever you needed you tried to exchange it at the weekly market but oftentimes, merchants or villagers would refuse a deal with you due to the bigotry of your circumstances and when men accosted you, it wasn’t with pure intentions.
Since you had grown into what was considered an age to be a spinster, everybody at the village refused to entertain a conversation with you but men didn’t disdain the possibility to bed you for a night, even under a compensation and although the thought disgusted you, there was a brewing desperation in your chest the night that you found your chicks slaughtered by an animal.
Eggs had always been a good source of income as the villagers in - at least - that department weren’t picky, with the scarcity that came as the nearest farm was miles away and many couldn’t have chicks.
So, with their death, you had now lost the major source of income for the following weeks and you didn’t have enough money to exchange for new chicks, even in a fewer quantity than the ones you had owned.
You had wrecked your head all night for a solution, although one didn’t come easy as you thought about rationing the food and selling what had been left behind and was valuable enough at the weekly market although you doubted that anybody would have made a deal with you
Unless you sold something else.
The thought of selling your body felt atrocious to you, but your little brothers would starve if you didn’t  do something as you are the sole family left to them.
«Big sister is worried» Kahiro had uttered at dinner as you tried to spoonfeed his twin, Shin’chi with the roots soup that you had cooked, hoping that such a meal - although not inviting - would fill them for the night.
You, yourself, went without dinner as the worries were raging in your head and you wouldn’t have been able to feel the taste of things.
«I don’t want it!» Shin’chi kept on protesting while you tried to be both sweet and kind, stern and authoritative but eventually the soup drenched wood tiles of the kitchen floor and suddenly you were hungry and feeling like a dog as you considered licking it off to sate your aching stomach.
Instead, you steadied yourself as a burning headache filled your mind and you couldn’t help but think that maybe your father hadn’t simply wandered off: he had willingly gone away to avoid the misery that came with your family.
Never like right now, hungry, worried and resourceless you had felt the curse upon your house.
«Then go to bed, immediately! No more dinner for you!».
You dreaded the task of being harsh with your brothers; they are much younger than you, enough that they could be sons instead of brothers - which they are as there is nobody else to handle them - and yet, you are young as well.
A whole child who turned up too old as the heavy burden lowered your shoulder and your tired gaze followed a disgruntled Shin’chi bolt to his room, while Kahiro was swift to finish his soup and follow him.
Not before passing by you and clutching your sleeve to attract your attention, he said:
«Don’t cry, sweet sister. He’s just… being a meanie».
And only then you realized you were crying, immediately brushing away tears: what good did they do to the world?
They were just a waste as irritation brewed in your stomach and you wondered why were you crying?
What use was there to cry when you couldn’t provide for your brothers or…
An idea hit you as you are suddenly reminded of your mother’s trips in the woods to pray as the house in which you had all lived hadn’t been built near the village and hence she couldn’t go to the temple; she had made with what she had and she had a few times brought you to pray upon the altair.
You hadn’t ever cared about such things - not as a child, too busy observing everything and playing games, not as an adult, when hunger and tiredness where all you felt - but you now understood the search for comfort as you assured yourself that both children are deep sleep before you slink into the night, directed towards the forest.
And maybe it was the fact that you wish to disappear not unlike your father or to search for comfort in nature…
Either way you found yourself on your knees, praying to a god whose name you don’t know and promising everything if only he helped your brothers - and you - survive.
“I don’t ask much but a modest life and a bit to tend to” you weren’t lazy, nor stupid and the wind that blows seemed to say ‘what will you give me then?’ “Everything. Everything I am and everything I own”.
The praying session in the woods left you tired and without a purpose as the realization had hit you: there were no gods, nor miracles and by the following morning you’d still be hungry with two more mouths to feed and even less food to do so.
Or so you thought, as when you went to open the door to try to at least milk the starving cow that you still own to offer milk for your brothers’ breakfast, you are startled to find the carcass of a deer; you startled at the gory sight and wonder who ever could have done this.
Which animal, more likely?
The skin is damaged thoroughly and although the whole thing is still quite meaty and for the moment you doubted whether to bring it inside or not, you did wonder whether it could be a trap or how it had come to you.
Still, you found yourself not caring as the deer lasted you a week with the skin being sold in the weekly market: the villagers might have their bigotry but the few pieces of its mane that you were able to save from the blood spectacle on your doorsteps, were wonderful of a deeply white that has you wondering whether you were committing a sin against the gods by selling it.
Still, it must be the gods - or better, the god in the wood - that had sent you such a thing, hence it is no sin.
By then, you weren’t yet convinced that it’s the gods’ work, truly; it must be a coincidence but then other gifts start showing up: other animals horribly killed and yet, each one is enough to last you a week if not more if you are careful with the meat.
Then alive animals, some new chicks and a horse.
And while the horse could have been a wandering one, the chicks didn’t seem so accidental.
You welcomed everything still, as desperate as you were, promptly noticing that the gifts came at the start of the week and they would be delayed if you didn’t come in the woods, as if whichever god that had taken you beneath his mantle, was a jealous and worried one that rewarded your visits and prayers with gifts and your lacks with silence.
By the time summer approached, your life had much improved as you weren’t only able to properly provide to your brothers but the gifts of the god changed in nature; as you were by now able to handle your brothers’ needs, the things coming to your door are far more… frivolous.
It started with flowers: nothing that could have been found in the woods but instead, you were sure, they had belonged in a luxurious foreign garden.
Then it was pretty dresses, much fancier than you had ever owned even back before your family had fallen from grace.
You had nowhere to wear them though, as going to the village in such fabric would have given place to rumors and that was the last thing you  needed as they all seemed startled already by the amount of game and furs you brought to sell, as you justified their existence by stating you had found it all in the woods.
Still, such luxurious fabrics tempted you and when you’d be at home, finished with the harshness of the average day, you’d try them on and indulging your brothers you’d pretend to be a luxurious lady or even princess of some fable, blessing your soldiers with a favor before sending them off to battle or declaring a winner among their internal ‘wars’.
You sometimes wished to have a mirror to see yourself in such a getup but you couldn’t handle such frivolousness when your main purpose of each day was to save some starving mouths.
Still, you wore the exotic fabrics when you’d go and pray, mostly to show to your god your gratefulness and he seemed to enjoy such a thoughtful action, rewarding you with two deliveries that same week: one for you of a beautiful headpiece made of what you were sure was jade, and another for your brothers.
Matching wooden ponies for them to pretend to ride as you had yet to teach them on the same horse that had been delivered to you.
As summer broke through, though, things started to get slightly more complicated as it seemed like different villagers had been attacked by what many described as a curse through the night, leaving the bodies horribly disfigured to the point that their loved ones struggled to recognize them.
You had been trying to avoid, then, the trip to the village as you knew that your visits were further witnessed with a tenseness that had many uncomfortable if not suspicious.
Still, you couldn’t rely wholly on the kindness of your god for everything and your brothers had insisted on a visit to the village, having been cooped up with the good season in the house and although they had each other for company, you guessed they might just enjoy some kids their age.
You kept an eye on them as you went through the market, selling your eggs as you kept an attentive ear to the rumors going around although a strange silence fell onto you the moment you walked in as if the conversation had been awkwardly about you and nobody else, and now caught the villagers felt shame.
Or worry.
“Don’t play with them” you heard a mother call out to her own child, who was waving around his toy to your brothers “They have a curse upon them. And their sister is nothing but a witch”.
You clenched your teeth at the insult not just for yourself but also your poor brothers who fell behind you, any joy left being shut off as they clutched your skirts as if to hide underneath them.
That visit didn’t solely leave behind a bad taste in your mind but as you were coming back you were caught in a summer rain tempest that left you drenched and although you were quick in bathing your brothers, they both came down with a severe fever the following day.
You trekked down the village - feverish yourself - to seek out a healer and some medicine that might help your brothers.
Still nobody wished to sell you anything and the healer shunned you out, pushing you out of her hut the moment that you walked inside.
In the dirty mud you cursed underneath your breath before promptly regaining a bit of your dignity and going back with an unsteady step to your own hours and although you weren’t a firm believer in miracles - no matter what happened in the forest - you still hoped and prayed that your brothers would be safe by the time that you came to them.
You were startled at first upon hearing noises coming from the door, as your brothers had been too weak to get up from bed and it couldn’t be a wandering animal as you had ensured that everything would be closed and looked; you rushed inside mindful to grab a huge rock to use as as weapon as inside the sight was startling: a white-haired human was standing atop your brother’s bed, who looked less flustered and far more peaceful in their slumber as a wet rag had been put on their foreheads.
As if sensing your return, the white haired stranger turned to you with a prompt neutral expression as they started speaking:
«Their fever broke through and it shall pass through the night»
You were startled as you inwardly clutched tighter the rock in your hands, having hidden it behind your back.
«… I have left some medicine brewed for you as well, and if you allow me, I’ll take onto the household chores for the day and…».
«Who are you?» you screeched, croaking due to the sickness in your body and although you were trying to sound threatening you were well aware that if they had any bad intentions, they wouldn’t only have the advantage of you being sick but they could easily hold your brothers hostages.
The fact that they hadn’t till right now was a good thing, but you had grown to rely only on yourself, shunned out of your own community, and now the sudden quest of trust had you uneasy at best.
«My name does not matter as it’s my lord’s own» not very reassuring and the intruder noticed the disbelief promptly on your face «… but if you must know I am Uraume».
«What are you doing in my house, Uraume?» you questioned as you pushed the rock forward if anything to show them that you had a weapon onto yourself. Not a very good one as the white-haired stranger promptly sent you a disimpressed look «… how… how did you get through?».
«The door» oh you didn’t enjoy that they were being sarcastic, certainly not when they had intruded in your peace and although they had somehow meant to help your brothers, you’d have preferred for them to leave.
And never come back.
«… and it’s my master that has sent me. To help you, my lady».
«I am no lady» you shot down before rushing out of curiosity «… who is your master?».
Now the plot thickened as if this stranger had been sent to you by somebody there must be a bigger plan and although they might not be an inherent threat, you felt unease at the thought of people - strangers - knowing about where you and your brothers lived.
You couldn’t pick up your things and move, especially with all the gifts that you had received recently, no matter the distaste you found for the village who hadn’t helped you. You couldn’t leave your god of the wood behind and suddenly it hit you while Uraume’s face brightened in satisfaction.
«No… it can’t… it can’t … be» and yet, he was the sole one who knew of your struggles, and the sole one that had seemed to care so far «… your master… is a … a god».
«Not yet» Uraume corrected promptly «… but he’s quite close. He’s glad that you have enjoyed his gifts so far as he finds your gratitude satisfactory».
It startled you to know that the help you had received wasn’t the result of a god who just wished your devotion, but something definitely more human as Uraume might be ethereal but you could tell they were very much as human as you; and this scared you although the heated state of your mind: if it was a human behind everything…
… considering the state of the animals he had brought to your door…
«I see fear in your eyes, but I’ll have you know that my master doesn’t wish any injury nor cruelty upon you or your siblings» they spoke attentively, coming one step closer to you definitely ignoring the rock in your hand, probably painfully aware you were far too sick to swing it to them and with the way they fluidly moved you thought Uraume to be human, but not human enough «… he finds your worship an entertaining practice and such a thought fills him with satisfaction. He asked me to come to you to be of help to you».
And it downed you: although Uraume and his master were strangers to you, they had been a better community than the village that had been supposed to cherish you.
The god in wood might be a cruel one but he was still your god.
«… I… can’t think» you admitted but you startled when your legs suddenly gave out underneath you and all too soon Uraume was beside you, trying to swiftly push you to lean against them although you protested; you might have come to conclusion that neither them nor their master would harm you, but this didn’t mean that you were eager to have either in your house «… let me… let me go!».
«Not till your own fever breaks» they spoke now less haughtily and respectfully «And such thing won’t happen if you don’t rest».
«I… I can’t…» on top of the lingering illness, you had been too concerned with your brothers to even sleep and it all came onto you although your body tensed up and shivered as it tried to fight against Uraume’s hold «… I don’t… you might… your master might be my god but I don’t… trust you».
«Then trust him» and as if talking with a spoiled child, Uraume added with a meager smile «… he has always helped you when you most needed it. He’d never send somebody to hurt you. Or your brothers».
You felt like Uraume had hit the target with their words and although begrudgingly you agreed to be brought to bed, with your eyes settling like an hawk on Uraume who was swift to move around the house, as if it was their own and you’d have been far more worried if you had been in your right mind as a boot of sanity came by when the attendant went to serve you dinner, by spoon feeding you.
Your brothers’ sleep had seemed much better than any they had gotten the previous night and Uraume insisted that they’d wake up soon.
It was enough that as you were treated as a child yourself, you grew restless and ask Uraume some questions.
«Who is your master?».
«That’s for me to know and for you to discover when the time is ready».
«Isn’t that ominous?» you protested lightly as a spoon of hot soup was promptly shoved into your mouth «… not that I am not grateful for his help, but I just wonder… how… and most importantly what he might want from me?».
«He shall come soon to tell you in person».
The thought set fear alive in the pit of your belly, although it alighted with something else as well, a feeling you couldn’t detect fully as it was new for you as well.
«… and he shall tell you what he wants from you».
The thought didn’t thrill you as Uraume, themselves, held an air of eeriness; their master must be somebody far more ruthless, considered the animals he had haunted for you and your brothers, and somebody far more powerful.
To meet such a man… it thrilled you in both a positive and negative way.
«I know it feels scary» it seemed like Uraume could just read your mind as they went to grab a clean rag to douse your burning forehead although with a belly full and rest beneath your eyelids, you definitely felt better and far more relieved at your brothers’ safety «… but if my master had any intention to hurt you, he’d have done so long ago».
«… again, that isn’t exactly reassuring» you shot back promptly, as your eyes moved to your brothers: your safety might be assured but what about your own? Uraume, again, caught the drift before you could utter your worries.
«My master might be a harsh one but he won’t harm your children, my lady» you startled at the title, as you flustered about being called something you had never been but Uraume shut down any attempt you made at correcting her «… if anything your devotion to your brothers is something that he admires. Greatly».
You flustered, although it wasn’t a true complement, suddenly finding that the verbal spar you had had with Uraume had left you tired and although you wished to keep an eye on the attendant, you found yourself drifting towards unconsciousness, startled when you woke up to your brothers’ little hands pushing and pulling on your shoulders for you to wake up.
They didn’t seem anymore feverish and were running around the house while the sole telltale sign of your previous sickness was a slight headache and for a moment you considered everything of the previous night a dream, although the whole house was ordered and you even found some food awaiting for you, an homemade treat that you hadn’t cooked.
And although you were grateful for Uraume’s help, you felt the tension at what they had said: their master would soon come for you and then you’d understand what he might want out of you.
You had taken to lose sleep at night because of this, and that’s the sole reason why you managed to get out of the house when the fire first started; you had taken to be restless and although the woods always calmed you down at times like this after the revelation that your god existed and wanted to connect with you, you had paced yourself with your visits although you knew they’d mean less weekly gifts.
You had been sitting down at the window sill of your brothers’ room watching them sleep comfortably in their beds as this sight always calmed you down although all too soon your nostrils were tickled by something that smelled akin to smoke.
You at first thought that it might be from the hunters’ encampment in the woods but then it became more extensive and you saw the phantom hand of smoke.
You were quick to shake awake your brothers as you opened the window to let yourself and the children out of the house, startled when you saw the front going up in flames; was this… was this the punishment from your god for your dissertation?
No, it couldn’t be: Uraume had said that he wouldn’t have harmed you and so far, your lacks had been returned with silences on his part. It had little to no sense to punish you - and your brothers - so harshly, when before he hadn’t ever.
Still, you came all too soon to a second realization as you heard voices and chants and quickly sending your brothers to hide in the woods nearby, you notice a crowd of villagers with torches; those fuckers… they hadn’t only shunned you and your brothers out due to their bigotry and superstition, but they had wished to hurt you and your brothers.
Purge your own lives with fire.
And that was when it hit you, just how awful you had been treated.
«Why… I…» you tried to make sense of the burning feelings in your chest «… I hate them! I hate them! I wish they would all be dead!».
It felt childish and with a second thought, you’d have been careful of the words that left your mouth as an eerie calm settled across the whole area and the flames were promptly smothered, much to the villagers’ horror as their eyes settled onto you.
«Witch!» they shouted all in chorus as they raised their torches and you’d have thought they’d have burned you alive «… curse upon our village!».
«There were children in my house!» you shouted back, uncaring of the feeling of a rope snapping tight around your stomach as if you were being pulled by something «… you… you are the true monsters!».
«Let’s burn her and ensure that whatever she does in our village will stop, before it’s too late!» one of the most important villagers spoke, as he moved closer to you with a torch, pushing it in your direction while you tried to back away but all too soon the villagers had surrounded you and you felt like a trapped mouse about to meet the end of a trap.
You closed your eyes and heard a slight and sharp breath of wind, promptly startled when you heard the noises of the villagers dim down as they had done when the flames had gone out all in a swift move.
Also in that case you had heard a gush of wind and slowly you understood the two things had been connected.
Your god had arrived as he moved through the parted crowd of villagers.
You noticed that a few had been brashly cut in half in an horrid spectacle of blood and guts.
The man, you had thought your savior, was at least a few heads taller than any man you had ever met; bright pink hair and maroon eyes - double in number - set on you as he moved through the road he created for himself.
He wasn’t human, that much you knew.
And while you should have felt dread - fear at least - for what he had done to your fellow villagers, you found yourself not shivering due to that, as you reasoned that if he hadn’t killed them, they’d have done the same to you.
A prey never feared the predator who ate the animal stalking them and hunting them down.
Your god was massive and strong and with elegant gestures of his hands he freed himself quickly to come to you, with blood slightly coating his four arms and the elegant traditional clothing he was wearing, as elegant in the fabric as your own and startled by such a parallelism you uttered, almost stupidly.
«My dresses… the ones… you gifted me… they were inside» you doubted that they’d have been salvageable and the thought filled you with a sensation of shame at having shown such gifts so little care, startled when the enormous monster offered you one of his impressive hands as if to tell you to come and with a slight hesitation you put your hands in his, startled to see it was the least bloody one.
«I’ll have new ones made for you» he spoke solemnly and resolutely «… better in quality and more fitting».
You nodded a bit flustered by how easily this unknown man - a stranger - wished to take care of you with an intensity that hadn’t been in your life for such a long time.
He gently pulled onto your hands although you held your ground.
You knew he could have easily swept you off your feet or eaten you - as his elongated fangs indicated - but he simply looked at you curiously as if he couldn’t place your behavior.
«… my brothers…» you couldn’t leave them behind, not even for such a caring monster.
«They are with Uraume» he spoke promptly and obviously, as if he was already ahead of you «… probably bothering them as they take after their sister’s inquiring curiosity».
You raised an eyebrow at the slight tease, not truly convinced that such a huge monster could joke so easily. And get you to smile so openly as you hadn’t done in a long time.
So, you followed him before saying.
«You aren’t going to hurt me, right?.
Iit made little sense as to how much he had done for you, rescuing you through the winter and saving your brothers in the summer. Right now, he had even avoided you burning alive, although your house was gone.
«Hurt you?» he chuckled boisterously although his face scrunched up in displeasure «… why would I hurt you, little dove?».
You flustered at the petname, effectively unable to come up with an effective reasoning as to why he’d hurt you: he had protected you so far and most importantly he wanted something from you.
«… then… what do you want from me?» from a poor orphan who had just her brothers to look after.
The monster smiled, all sharp and scrunched eyebrows. It shouldn’t have felt reassuring as he clutched your hand more gently, effectively stopping to clutch it as he’d do with a resisting person.
«Isn’t it obvious what I want?» you shook your head and he pursued his lips in disapproval, as if to say ‘I thought you smarter’ «I want your devotion, sweet thing».
Again the petname, again that slight fluster, but still it wasn’t enough as his eyes gently downed onto your lips for but a moment.
«I want your devotion to me and I want you to worship me, as my rightful wife».

you smiled as he dropped the little pill in your mouth, completely aware of what’s going to happen next.
yuta was looking at you, your eyes closed enjoying the sound of the music, body rocking from left to right as your hands were rooming over your body.
“take one too, you’ll have fun trust me yu” you tried to talk over the music, not knowing if he heard you but oh little did you know he definitely did. he was currently debating whether he should take one or not, but in the end he gave in and trusted you.
“alright, gimme one” yuta smiled at you as he watched how you grabbed into your bra, revealing a little plastic baggy with several small pills in different colors and sizes.
“open up big boy” you giggled, practically waiting for him to open his mouth while your hands began to shake a little more, letting you notice your pill started to work in your blood system, your eyes suddenly started to get heavier and rolled back a little.
yuta on the other hand just swallowed the pill and was now trying to get the weird taste out of his throat, making him gag silently whilst you were just giggling at everything that’s been happening since your trip started to kick in.
after some time yuta has been on the same level as you, everything feeling like you’re walking on clouds, eyes barely open, moving to the sound of the music only until yuta got extremely horny.
“you wanna join me on the toilet sweetheart?” he asked you while flashing a white substance in your face. cocaine, you quickly grabbed his hand and he started pulling you over to him before heading off to the bathrooms.
the line outside of the bathroom was long so the two of you had to wait about 20 minutes to get inside.
right as you closed the door you felt yuta’s lips on yours, hands rooming over your body stopping at your waist gripping tightly which made you moan a little.
yuta couldn’t get enough of this, the molly kicking in with you by his side, he was on cloud nine, the cocaine in his pocket had to wait till he was finished with you.
“pants down sweetheart” he commanded you and you just struggled pulling your pants down due to you being too high on molly yuta started giggling before helping you pull them down carefully.
you hungrily kissed him, letting your body take over on its own, your hands rested on his abs in the meantime yuta lifted one of your legs up and made you hug his waist with your leg.
he moved your panties to the side and immediately pushed two digits into your dripping cunt, pumping in and out in an immense speed leaving you a moaning mess.
soon after you came undone around his fingers and yuta brought his fingers up to his mouth licking them clean before pulling smashing his lips back on yours, making sure you’d tasted yourself.
you broke the kiss and pulled your pants back up, only to remind him why you two even went to the bathroom together.
“let me do it” grabbing your phone and placing it on the closed toilet as you took out two cards from your back pocket of your pants.
yuta handed you the white powdered goods, literally licking your lips as you sprinkled it on your phone. praying to yourself that you made the two lines equal in size eying them both, moving a little from the right one to the left.
“here” you picked up your phone before giving yuta a rolled up 5 dollar bill, smiling as he snorted his line, you doing the same but licking the phone clean afterwards.
“let’s go and have some more fun till the night is over, shall we sweetheart” yuta grabbed your hand and lead you back to the dance floor, smiling at himself.

By her side stood a tall, thin man, clad in black. His face was turned from us, but the instant we saw we all recognised the Count—in every way, even to the scar on his forehead. With his left hand he held both Mrs. Harker's hands, keeping them away with her arms at full tension; his right hand gripped her by the back of the neck, forcing her face down on his bosom. which threw his victim back upon the bed as though hurled from a height, he turned and sprang at us Van Helsing, Art, and I moved forward to Mrs. Harker, who by this time had drawn her breath and with it had given a scream so wild, so ear-piercing, so despairing that it seems to me now that it will ring in my ears till my dying day.  Then she put before her face her poor crushed hands, which bore on their whiteness the red mark of the Count's terrible grip
Is this supposed to be the "timeless forbidden love story" that so many adaptations brag about? Is this treatment supposed to be "subversion of the expected" prude victorian love that directors pat themselves on the back for "fixing"? Is this the I have crosses seas to find you or whatever bullshit?
Mina being treated like a thing? Having her arms be almost broken for trying to fight the horrible man who killed the only girl she loved, almost killed her husband, and traumatized her in a scene akin to sexually assaulting her in the middle of the night?
He had been there, and though it could only have been for a few seconds, he made rare hay of the place. All the manuscript had been burned, and the blue flames were flickering amongst the white ashes; the cylinders of your phonograph too were thrown on the fire, and the wax had helped the flames.
Is this love? Mina hearing how her hard work, her manuscript she did with her own hands, is now ashes? Having to repeat the traumatic event in front of everyone while repeating how Dracula threatened her with bashing Jonathan's brain in front of her eyes, plunging herself into more shame, then having a religious crisis after Mina is branded with the proof that god itself abandoned her because of the Count's attack?
And so you, like the others, would play your brains against mine. You would help these men to hunt me and frustrate me in my designs! my bountiful wine-press for a while; and shall be later on my companion and my helper.
Mina got called a fucking WINE PRESS for everything that is sacred! On top of being told that her future is being reduced to a companion, to a helper. A shadow with no self autonomy who will roam earth in a hellish existance attatched to a man who doesn't even see her as a human, but an object to be won. The Count hates Mina for her wits, he hates that a woman bested him in a play where she had the upper hand, yet he desires her enough to punish her by erasing everything that makes Mina Harker the woman she is.
Is this what Mina deserves? Is this the forbidden love? Does Mina deserves to be shreded, punished, and reduced to a winning object when she is at the lowest in this book? For what, to symphatize with a conqueror who thinks that it's his right to destroy all of the lives he comes across for his own sick entertaiment?
Where is the soft love that Jonathan expresses for Mina, where is the devotion given to her as she prays to god for an answer.
Oh my God! my God! what have I done? What have I done to deserve such a fate, I who have tried to walk in meekness and righteousness all my days. God pity me! Look down on a poor soul in worse than mortal peril; and in mercy pity those to whom she is dear!"
Why should Mina suffer because clueless non readers romanticize the trauma that she went through to the point that Mina became suicidal in a single night.
"You would not kill yourself?" he asked, hoarsely. "I would; if there were no friend who loved me, who would save me such a pain, and so desperate an effort!"
If Mina didn't have Jonathan, didn't have Van Helsing and the others, she would have died from pure distress and shame. How horrible is to see Mina push through what happened without truly taking time to see how she is truly blameless in here, and that she should not beg god for forgiveness when that acursed presence left her unprotected to an ancient evil.

Our Little Kenobi part 2
Tumblr media
Part 1
Part 3
Request from @starvingbrokestudent Can you do a super sweet pregnancy fic with Obi Wan? Like the reader finds out she’s pregnant after fertility issues and Obi Wan is just so excited?! And how they try to keep it a secret from the council and eventually she has a baby boy?
Sitting down in my chair in the council room I was currently the only person in the room. The meeting didn't start for another few minutes and I was getting slower with the pregnancy. My reflexes weren't as sharp and sooner or later others would notice too. I heard footsteps coming around the corner but my shoulders loosened seeing Obi-Wan. He sits down next to me sending me a look. “How are you feeling today, Y/n?”
“I have been throwing up all morning to be honest. I barely made it to this.” I responded to him rubbing my eyes trying to wake myself up.
Obi wan sent me a sad smile. “I'm sorry for causing you discomfort.”
“I don’t regret the night we spent together. I just wish it didn't make me sick every morning.” I reassured my fellow jedi master.
He nodded, clasping his hands together staring at me until we heard more footsteps coming towards the large and open room. I saw Yoda and Windu come inside and the other Jedi master members followed their heels. They sat down in their chairs where I began feeling nervous and twiddled my fingers together in my lap. “Looking at the war effort we have. Need someone to rescue Jabas son we do.”
“Master L/n, we have considered you since you are the most fluent in his language.” Windu explained looking in my direction.
Yoda pointed his finger at me. “Most useful you will be on this you will be.”
“Oh masters, I am not sure I can go.” I stuttered running a hand through my hair feeling my face turning red trying to not make it obvious of the reason why.
Obi wan kept his cool, sitting more upright on his chair. It had been a few months since I had told him I was pregnant with his soon to be child. We knew the rules that we had vowed to the council and the laws that were in place. “Do you care to tell us why that is exactly?”
“Oh uh…I have been feeling sick the last couple of weeks. I suppose it must be a stomach bug.” I clasped my hands together in my lap.
Yoda tapped his fingers on his chin. “Understand it is. Rest and get better you should. Send Kenobi in your place we shall.”
“Forgive me, Master Yoda. But I must back out as well. I have sworn to train some of the younglings months before the war started.” He held his hands up placing his hands on his knees praying that they couldn’t sense his nervousness.
Master Windu rose to his feet but he doesn’t seem angry or suspicious of the responses we had given him. “We understand you’re commitment, Master Kenobi. We will decide someone else to begin the search for Jabba's son to prevent a war with his army against the Republic.”
“Thank you for understanding, Masters.” I bowed my head rising to my feet before leaving the room.
Obi wan had got to his feet too doing the same but he would go in the opposite direction of where I had and wait a few minutes for them to clear the room. Then he would follow me back to my quarters like we had talked about the night before. I sat down on the edge of my bed burying my face in my hands. “We can’t possibly keep this up forever…it’s just not possible.”
“I wish that you weren’t right about that.” Whipping my head towards the voice I saw Obi Wan had slipped his way into my room without me knowing.
Slumping my shoulders I signed laying down on my back counting the lines on the ceiling till he came over and the bed dipped at his new weight. “Obi wan…I didn’t hear you come in.”
“That’s not a bad thing when we have something to hide from the council. I am just glad that they don’t seem to suspect anything.” He responded by running his hands through his locks.
Turning my head in his direction I said what we were both trying not to think about. The fact that we may have to abandon our entire lives here because of the infant. “Obi-Wan, we'll have to leave here won't we?”
“If anyone on the council suspects us. Yes we will have too. I'll have to break my promise to Qui Gon to train Anakin…to honor my promise to remain by your side now and for however long our lives may last.” He interviewed his hands together in his lap.
I paused just watching him take in a few breaths. Obi-Wan and I had been friends for years so it was almost impossible for us to not fall in love with each other. We knew the other inside and out. We were bonded together, possibly even for life. But not yet in marriage. Over the past few weeks I had been deciding I wanted to be given his last name. I wanted my child to be able to address as a full born Kenobi. Reaching up I touched his shoulder making him look at me. “Obi, there's something I wanna do.”
“What is it, my darling?” He asked softly.
Leaning forward I kissed him quietly for a moment and he leaned into the kiss smiling till I drew back. “I know you already asked me to marry you so let’s do it this evening. I wish to become your wife tonight.”
“Who would we get to perform the ceremony?”
“Padme, she and Anakin had R2D2 and C3po do their wedding.” I replied.
Obi wan paused before rising to his feet and he held his hands out to me helping me stand up with him. I squeezed his hands before he leaned down kissing my forehead leaving the room going to find the members that we needed. “I’ll get everything set and ready. I’ll see you in your dress later, Y/n.” As soon as I had told Padme she was over the moon even giving me one of her very first princess dresses to wear as my wedding gown. Obi wan decided that we should get married on the temple roof at sunset which I found very romantic in my opinion.
Padme and Anakin were standing in the center of the roof with Obi wan by his padawan. C-3PO was standing in the center of the group. R2D2 was rolling in front of me, throwing some flowers until he reached the others. Obi wan lifted his head and immediately was at a loss for words seeing me before him. The dress I had on had long sleeves that were made of lace and I had a short heel on with my hair loose except for two strands tired back. Padme wiped away some tears. “I don’t think much needs to be said here. All of us who are here right now know that these two wouldn’t be doing this if they didn’t really love one another. So the vows if you would.”
“Y/n, I love you more than I thought I could anyone. And I have to say I am so grateful that I now join my life with yours.” Obi wan intertwined my hands with his, slipping the wedding band on my ring finger.
Squeezing my hands that were holding mine I chuckled, slipping the band on his finger trying to not cry too much on the borrowed dress from my best friend. “I love you to the stars, Obi. I know we didn’t plan the baby. But we have always been a good pair together so I am so excited to be your wife after today.”
“It is my great pleasure to now pronounce you husband and wife.” Padme declares looking at Anakin.
He smiled between the two of us. “Obi-wan and Y/n Kenobi sounds rather good to me.”

Welcome to week 2 of the Countdown to Season Five Music Mondays! This week's themes are Redemption and Owen & Tommy. If you don't have anything for these themes you can still participate in the tag as normal.
Once again, thank you to @lonestar-s5countdown for setting up this event and these themes.
Today I am sharing a few of my favorite songs from the playlist for my upcoming fic!
For these songs I'm thinking about 4x18 (and s5 👀) Carlos, how he stepped away from his obsession and chose love instead. We know this story isn't over for him, but overall it is a redemption story. It's about him and TK fighting through all of this and coming out of it stronger than ever as husbands.
Overcome - Nothing But Thieves
Bringer of the calm, your arms wrapped around when the fever took Thought I was gone for good, you brought me back
I've been thinkin', babe, maybe you're right When you said the pain weathers in time We're just waitin' for a change to follow We don't always get all that we want Redefine the pain to somethin' more And we shall overcome, as we've done before
Sleep Deprivation - Chance Peña
I've been on a mission I won't stop till I'm done I toss and turn almost every night I pray to God I'm doing right By all my family's wishes Lord knows I miss them Their love outshines the sun
So when I break down I list off the reasons I'm here and I'm still breathing I'm hanging on Try to break ground, make way for tomorrow I'll find a way through the sorrow One day at a time
Promises I Can't Keep - Mike Shinoda
What's the difference between a loss and a forfeit I tried to make it better, but I made it more sick I tried to make it right, now awake at night I know reality was getting in the way
I used to think that I knew who I was Never saw it coming unglued I used to think that I knew who I was Now it's time to see if it's true
I had so much certainty Til that moment I lost control And I've tried but it never was up to me I've got no worse enemy Than the fear of what's still unknown And the time's come to realize there will be Promises I can't keep
I Am Not Who I Was - Chance Peña
You keep me steady on the ground When my head's lost in the clouds That spotlight, though it shines bright Could never drown you out I know it's hard when I'm away I'll just hope you don't lose faith 'Cause I told the truth when I said to you That I'll be back someday
So if I fly too far Will I still have a place inside your heart? And when you've seen what I've become Will you love me for who I am, not who I was?
Back To One - O.A.R
I see you there, but you don't look right You got a ten-mile stare in your eyes tonight Time ain't fair, like it used to be
Don't look back, you'll never find your way There's a million different people Who break the same way When everything has come undone We got to bring it back to one
I know forever always asks so much Don't you let it scare you, don't you lose your touch When your still waters start to run, bring it back to one

I worship you in vigils of the night—
Your secret breaths the hissing fall of time,
Your heat the drifting sands within the glass.
While Aziraphale works in Heaven, he and Crowley steal hours to meet in secret, under cover of darkness, to plan their resistance to the final war between Heaven and Hell. And engage in… other activities.
Oh, and make it a sestina, using the key words “night, time, glass, light, tide, stars.”
Read on AO3 (Mature, 341 words; vaguely-implied smut, not explicit)
A vast outpouring of thanks to brilliant beta-reader @orciny
Cover image adapted from "sand-hourglass-black-and-white" by johnvoo_photographer, licensed under CC BY 2.0.
Full text under the cut (but without the footnotes; you'll find those on AO3). Reblogs and AO3 comments very much appreciated, as always <3
Da pacem in diebus nostris, quia non est alius qui pugnet pro nobis, nisi tu.
I worship you in vigils of the night— Your secret breaths the hissing fall of time, Your heat the drifting sands within the glass. I pray to keep these hours before the light: Subdue the dawn, turn back the changing tide, Soothe the eternal turning of the stars.
We worship where we cannot see the stars; These rites clandestine, hiding from the night. I kneel beneath you, baptized in your tide, And swear ‘We shall have world enough and time.’ You consecrate me here beyond the light And show me distant hope through darkened glass.
Alone, I wander through these halls of glass. The vault of Heaven is too bright for stars; The void screams with an unrelenting light. How long, O love, must I wait for the night? How long must I endure this empty time? But you are as unfailing as the tide.
‘Abide with me; fast falls the eventide,’ You murmur on my lips, and pour a glass, The amber distillation of lost time. The day will come when we will drink the stars And walk our garden in the cool of night, And wake together, welcoming the light.
Till then, we shelter from the searching light — Lie silent, fathoms deep, beneath the tide — This ecstasy, this tremor in the night, A warning: soon enough, the falling glass, The storm-clouds mounting, blotting out the stars, And we surge from the sea to fight for Time —
But now, each heartbeat counts our stolen time. I hold you close, protect you from the light. Here on your skin, my tongue can taste the stars That wait for us. We rise like waves: spring tide Drawn out by darkened moon. The hourglass Flows on towards Lauds. We keep our faith this night.
Dear heart, the time draws near. Another tide Will bring the lightning. Break the hourglass. We flare like stars. Our triumph comes tonight.

Blood of my Blood pt.1
Pairing- Sully family x sully!reader
Summary- There is so much you would do for your family even at a young age but there is one thing you just couldn't do so you do the only thing you find reasonable you run.
A/N- so this is lowkey just a prologue but i hope you guys like it 🤭
Pt.1 Pt.2 Pt.3 Pt.4
Tumblr media
Your mother, Neytiri sat you down and Jake, your father, held a contemplating expression on his face. ''Hi mama, dad.'' You said as your missing tooth smiled up at them. ''Y/N we have something to tell you.'' Jake began and you peered at him with big eyes looking up at him with childlike gleam in them. ''We have made an agreement with the Kekunan clan, you know the tribe we visited last week and you and Neteyam played tag with the chief's son Entu.'' Jake said and you shook your head. ''Yeah he kept hitting me and he played with and injured animal it was really mean.'' You say and Neytiri looks upset and she sees your thoughts of the boy.
''What about it dad?'' You say looking at him again as he takes a deep breath in. ''You and Entu are betrothed when you become one of the people you shall be his mate.'' Neytiri finished and all the joy you felt seeped from your body and into the earth. ''W-what do you mean mom?'' you knew what she meant, but you prayed to Eywa that it wasn't what you thought. ''You and Entu with be mates in a few years it is done daughter be happy.'' she smiled and you did the same getting up and running to Neteyam.
You lived normally existing as if the news your parents just delivered to you didn;t fill you with despair. Though, it was only one day you could see that Entu would be cruel, cruel to you, cruel to the clan. You couldn't subject yourself to this, you would do anything for your family even at your young age but this is one thing that you couldn't and wouldn't do.
It was late you fought the sleep that simmered in your mind and waited till you heard your dads loud snoring. Slowly crouching out of your cot grabbing a bag you packed a few days ago its intended use was for a get together at another clan but it would do for getting away. You opened a window flap and stepped onto the grassy earth that surrounded your home. You walk to the Hallelujah mountains, you knew it was too early for your Iknimaya but you had to get away somehow.
You stepped into the pit, all of them were awake skin glowing and bright eyes peered into your soul. They moved as if upset by your presence, they would attack you if they wanted you to be their rider but none attacked. But one didn't move.
He was small, wings looked weak, but his beak was strong enough to crush a grown Na'vi skull as he hissed at you getting in attack mode. 'Better than nothing." You whisper before you hiss back at him loudly as he stood up on his short legs. Getting your rope you wrap it around his beck jumping at him onto his back.
He threw himself on his back making you gasp. Grabbing your queue quickly connecting it with his, completing tsaheylu he flew off the rock and then your eyes widened as you though, ''Slow, slow.'' He balanced in the wind as he went forward at a slow pace.
Your back straightened as you reached behind you grabbing the bag that managed to stay in you. Opening it you grab a leaf scroll, unrolling it having the directions to a clan. ''Mangkwan Clan known for letting people in hm.'' You whisper and the Khal, that's what you named him, chirped. ''You how where it's at.'' He chirped twice in response and you just trusted him as he turned left and farther from your old home.
It was a week's journey, you felt yourself going hungry but you held hope when Khal stopped his flapping wings in front of a hometree very familiar to yours but with key differences. A blow of a horn took you from your amazement as many surrounded you so worried, some excited, two of three hissed at you. But then a man and a woman stepped between the swarm of Na'vi they must be the Olo'eyktan and Tsahik as everyone bowed their heads in respect.
The woman had goddess braids that stopped at her hips with intricate gems and jewels in it, her long skirt went up at the sides and shined with the amount of jewls that went through it, and a tattoo that started at her wrist and wrapped all the way up to her neck. Her wide eyes peered at you, studying your face and body language.
The man stood more protective than curious like the woman. He has a huge scar on his left upper arm, he has huge ear gauges, he had a head dress that shined like a million diamonds, truly the brightest thing you've ever seen that sat in his long dreads.
They stopped in front of you and you quickly bowed your head and the woman smiled before touching your bicep with her tattooed hand, making you flinch at the touch. ''Child please tell me why you've come, one of you put this young ladies ikran with the other.'' She spoke to the guards around you as she wrapped her larger arms around your smaller filling your body with warmth. ''May I please stay here I can pull my weight, I can hunt, paint, sing, weave anything but can I please-''
''Shush child, tell me your name and why you seek to live here. Is something wrong?" Her eyes looked bug full of wonder and concern for the young girl in front of her.
"My name is Y/N te Suli Neytiri'ite." You whisper looking down the woman's back straightened as she looks at the man who walked behind you, his eyebrows furrowed even more. "Y/N why have you come here?" The woman crouched to your height. "Um," you debated telling her the truth would she send you back.
"Um, well back home I'm betrothed to someone, someone I can't just can't be mates with. He is cruel, and my parents just don't see it." You look at the ground in shame.
The two adults looked at each other and tye man had a much softer look on his face now as the woman looked uo waiting for his final answer on the whole thing. He tilted his head down and she smiled. "Well you shall stay here with us." She said and you looked at the two and smiled. "My name is Peyral and his name is Kamun."
-6 years later-
Jake held a picture in his hand and then the sound of a leaf crunching pulled him from his thoughts quickly flipping the picture over not to show the image. "Ma Jake." Neytiri spoke and he rubbed his eyes. "Hey baby." He said and Neytiri looked puzzled. "What is wrong?" She asked and he only shaked his head opening a drawer to put the picture up but ahe snatched it just in time. Her face softened as she smiled, caressing the picture, it was of you jumping at your parents after your first time swimming and Neytiri finally figured out how a polaroid works.
She gulped and placed the picture in the drawer and grabbed his hand dragging him into the meeting with Mo'at.
"Ah JakeSully, Daughter.* She said bowing her head formally greeting them.
"Mother." Neytiri responded as she and Jake bowed their heads.
Sitting down around an unlit fire pit. "What have we come to talk about?" Jake asked and Mo'at lifted her head. "Yes, well some clans are threatening to battle over a few things." She said to the two and Neytiri's eyes widened as she now sat up straight as did Jake. "What should we do?" Neytiri asked Jake who ran over ideas in his brain. "You meet with them, you talk and you compromise." Mo'at blurted out and they looked over at her.
"Meet, Talk and compromise." Jake repeated and Mo'at shook her head up and down slowly. "Yes and I suggest you go to the Mangkwan Clan last." She said, looking off to the side. The two of them look at her curiously. "There may be something there for you, all of you." She said before blinking multiple times as Neytiri helped her up.
Neytiri and Jake stepped out of the tent and Neytiri went in her way as Jake did. But what Mo'at said simmered in his thoughts. What did she mean there's something there for him? For all of his family? He had no idea.
But he would soon find out.

🌥️for the wip ask game, please!
Thank you for the ask!
🌤️Share your favorite piece of dialogue from your WIP.
So, this ask made me realize I almost never write long dialogues, and none of my wips appear to have coversations longer than four lines except one. So, you get the Apollo-Hyacinthus wip dialogue :D
“I brought food,” he declared, all former signs of confusion gone. “You liked our bread last time, so here’s more for you!”
With that, Hyacinthus ripped open the packet, pulled out a concerningly long knife from his belt, cut a hunk of fragrant bread and offered it to him.
Apollo stared. He could not even bring himself be offended at the lack of manners, or the fact that Hyacinthus had not washed his hands. When he made no move to take it from him, the prince shoved the loaf into his lap and returned to rummaging his pack.
“I also brought olive oil…” he muttered, “where did it go?”
Apollo held out the previously discarded jar. “Is it this one?”
“Oooh yes!”
Hyacinthus wrenched open the lid, dipped his bread right into the viscous liquid, which lapped precariously at the sides, and to Apollo’s growing consternation, smeared the entirety of his chin trying to stuff food into his mouth.
“Wuff?” he demanded, mouth full and spraying a couple of crumbs.
Apollo broke his piece into a manageable size, picked out a smattering of oil from the sides, and then, like a civilized person, drizzled the golden treasure within the bread and put it in his mouth. Hyacinthus watched him, amused, as he chewed slowly and quietly, with his mouth closed.
Not immune to his silent judgement, the prince opened his mouth to speak, and Apollo winced.
“I pray you, Your Highness,” he said, swallowing hastily. “It is a sad day a meal must wait till the end of a speech to be consumed. I am right here, and so I shall remain until you have appropriately chastised me for whatever folly I may have committed.”
Hyacinthus burst out laughing, then choked, hunching over himself with trembling shoulders. Apollo hesitated only for a moment, before he reached out to rub his back.
“There, there,” he murmured soothingly; all the while power erupted from his fingertips, easing out the prince’s breaths. “This is why you should not speak while eating.”
Hyacinthus groaned, swallowed heavily, and straightened. “Please, you sound like my mother.”
“Her Majesty is a wise woman.”
“That she is. But dining with good company is an act of wanton joy, and should be treated as such.”
Apollo was not sure if this counted as dining, but Spartan sensibilities were strange, and perhaps he was somewhat flattered at being labelled good company by such a handsome man – not that anyone would dare say otherwise.
Apollo stroked his back a few more times – it was not strictly necessary, but he liked feeling helpful, then realised he was just smearing the oil.
“I fear I have made you sticky, Your Highness.”
Hyacinthus laughed again. It was a beautiful sound, open and free, like Aphrodite’s doves being released to the sky.
“Don’t worry, we will go wash up, since you are such a clean freak. Yes, I saw your face when I broke the bread. The Eurotas is not far from here. Meanwhile, finish your food and I shall finish mine; I stole these from the kitchens and will not allow my efforts to be wasted.”
Apollo obeyed, and then feeling rather caught, added stiffly, “I did not mean to offend, Your Highness. It is only that unclean hands bring many ills.”
“Oh?” Hyacinthus’s eyes twinkled. “Do I perhaps have the pleasure of speaking to a healer?”
“Yes, actually.”
Hyacinthus gaped at him, and at once Apollo regretted running his mouth. This was why he had so far chosen to remain remote and distant. Churlishness was a far simpler accusation than whatever would be hurled at him now, for whoever had heard of a healer who sat among cows?
Sure enough, he was not spared the interrogation.
“What are you doing herding cattle when you could be healing? Are you a slave? Does your master not allow you to practice your craft?”
“No.” Apollo graciously refrained from commenting on Hyacinthus’s manners. “I just like cows.”
“And not people?” Hyacinthus cast his bread aside and sat up, looking at him incredulously. “Are you an outcast from a temple of Apollo?”
“What? No!” Apollo was so outraged that for a moment he considered telling the impudent prince exactly who he was. An outcast from his own temple – blessed Titans! What nefarious conspiracies the human mind could cook up!

Homer's Odysseus: No man is left behind! Yeah, I do stay behind till it is my time to shine, yes I give in my anger a lot but usually I have my reasons (yes I know Thersites it hurt but between you and I no one likes you here!) Yes I do tend to be arrogant but hey who isn't in this dang war! Yeah I am a-ok with performing certain things under the table such as cheating at funerary games for example (come on Athena you didn't need to give me a hand!) Yeah I am a master of disguise. Yeah I have to sell myself sometimes but it's all for the greater good (by Gods why is it always me?!). Mass murder? Sure but I will have to cleanse myself afterwards. Murder still murder... did all my way to go back to my wife. Religious and faithful (yeah I pray for all dammit. Even Gods say so!)
Literally almost everyone else's Odysseus: Morals? Never heard of those! Yeah sure I would frame the guy that made me keep my promise for treason so that he is stoned to death. Yeah sure leave that guy on a deserted island. No one cares anymore. 10 years went by we shall take Troy with my brilliant plan and sure I might as well yeet kids off towers while I am at it. What? You mean I need the arrows of that dead guy to win the war? Well alright I guess I shall go-...oh HI Philoctetes! You were still alive? Nice. Mass murder? Sure no problem. Cheating other women? Sure...I mean why not I went this far... I'll manipulate my way through later (dammit Telegonus!) But hey I will still give you a funeral...

just like the wind - II
word count: 1'800 warnings: none
“Where are you taking us?” Frodo asks, trailing behind you and Strider, amidst his friends.
“Into the wild.” Your companion does not bother turning back. Back in the day, his lack of explanations and emotion used to irritate you infinitely. Today, you know why he does it. The less the Hobbits know, the better. Not long after, the halflings start whispering among themselves. You can hear what they are saying with your elf abilities, but seeing as they aren’t keeping very quiet, you’re certain Strider can too.
“How can we know these Rangers are friends of Gandalf?” Merry asks, rightfully suspicious.
“We have no choice but to trust them.” Frodo seems less anxious than he did the previous evening.
“But where are they leading us?”
“To Rivendell, Master Gamgee,” you answer over your shoulder, “to the House of Elrond.”
“You hear that?” Sam all but squeals, “Rivendell! We’re going to see the elves!” You bite back a scoff and share an amused glance with Strider. The Hobbits had been travelling with an elf for the better part of a day: you. You are reminded of your hood with a small gust of wind. They had only seen part of your face, which was why they didn’t know you were an elf yet.
You and Strider have to adjust your pace to the Hobbits’ little legs and general unfitness. When you stop for the umpteenth time, you suppress a frustrated groan. Strider sighs as he turns around, expecting to find the Hobbits hunched over, catching their breaths or complaining about the pain in their legs.
“Gentlemen,” he calls, “we do not stop ‘till nightfall.” Confused at his words, you turn around as well and let an amused smile grace your features. You find the Hobbits sitting on the ground, ruffling through their bags, clearly hoping to have a meal.
“What about breakfast?” Pippin asks, a confused frown on his face. “You’ve just had it.” You cross your arms over your chest, brows furrowed.
“We’ve had one, yes,” Pippin’s voice is conciliating. “What about second breakfast?” He raises an eyebrow. Strider sends the Hobbits a strange look before trudging off, continuing your journey. You shake your head with a small chuckle before following your companion.
“I don’t think they know about second breakfast, Pip,” Merry sighs as he slings his bag over his shoulders.
“What about elevensies?” Pippin splutters, “Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? They know about those, don’t they?”
“I wouldn’t count on it.” You feel sorry for the little creatures and throw each of them an apple you’d grabbed off a tree earlier.
When the cover of darkness starts instilling itself, you stop at the bottom of a hill. Remains of a tower still reside on its peak.  “This was the great watchtower of Amon Sûl,” Aragorn speaks.
“We shall rest here tonight,” you state, walking up the hill. Weary from the trying day, the Hobbits lay down their bags and huddle together. You and Strider decide to take turns either keeping watch or scouting the base of the hill for possible threats. You start the first round and, after laying down your bag, being your stroll about the hill.
When a light catches your eye, you realize that the Hobbits had started a fire. Heart hammering inside your chest, you curse their ignorance and rush towards them. The flame goes out but when you perceive the shrieks of the Nine Riders, you know it’s too late. You see the Wraiths all but fly up the hill and push your legs to go faster, breaths coming out in quick, white clouds in the cold night. When you finally reach the top of the hill, you assess the situation before placing yourself between the helpless Hobbits and the Riders.
Knowing there was no time to fetch Strider, you pray he joins you soon as you pull out your sword. You jab at the monster the closest to you and slash at another. You narrowly dodge a blade, hearing your blood pump in your ears. You manage to keep them off for a little while before the Riders turn their attention to you rather than Frodo, who you were standing in front of. With all their blows aimed at you, you barely have time to dodge each hit. You realize with horror that it would only a matter of seconds before you were overpowered. Nine wraiths against one half-elleth, you stood no chance.
It's no surprise when you block a jab aimed at your neck and are suddenly pushed to the side. You fall to the ground with a grunt. A heavily armoured foot nearly crashes into your face, you just manage to roll out of the way in time. You push yourself to your knees, pulling out your dagger with a snarl before you’re picked up and thrown into the air.
What the-
The ground barely has time to look far away before it’s hurtling towards you. The scream you hadn’t been conscious of it cut off when you plummet into the ground with a harsh “thump”. You gasp, your breath having been knocked out of you. What feels like forever later, you’re greedily gulping in air, lying flat on your back. You groan in pain as you push yourself up, coming back to your senses. Suddenly, you feel everything. The pain in your skimmed knees, the large bruise on your hit, the cut in your cheek and your bruised and bleeding nose.
You painstakingly make your way up the hill again, clutching your most-probably bruised ribs. You push yourself to get there as fast as you can, but you are too late. When you reach the top of the hill, Sam is kneeling on the ground next to Frodo’s motionless body and Strider is trying to fight the Wraiths off. You’re at his side in a second, fighting with your dagger, your sword long forgotten.
You manage to fight four of the Riders off and set fire to the other five. Their screams would forever be etched in your mind. When the threat is no more, you hunch over, leaning on your knees, catching your breath. Strider puts a hand on your shoulder, panting.
“Are you alright?” he asks, concern lacing his tone as he takes in your injuries. He wipes at the blood on your chin, brows furrowed. You don’t have time to answer him as the Frodo’s cries of pain reach you both.
“Strider! Ira!” Sam panics, “Help him!”
Clutching your aching ribs, you kneel beside the Hobbit. You hiss as the pain in your knees as you examine the wound in Frodo’s chest. Strider picks up the blade the Hobbit had been stabbed with, but the blade turns to ash the second it’s picked up. He lets the hilt fall to the ground with a clatter. You share a knowing, worried look.
“He’s been stabbed by a Morgul blade.” Strider offers a rare elaboration for the Hobbits.
“This is beyond my skill to heal,” you turn to your companion, “He needs Elvish medicine.”
Strider nods and picks up Frodo, still groaning in pain. You resume your trek towards Rivendell more hastily than before. The Hobbits almost have to jog to keep up with your long, worried steps. You illuminated the path with a torch while Strider made sure Frodo didn’t fall off the horse you had brought along with you.
“We’re six days from Rivendell! He’ll never make it!” Sam voices your thoughts. Though you know he’s right, you don’t answer. Neither does Strider. Sam uselessly cries Gandalf’s name into the wind, and you set your jaw. That wizard would have some explaining to do when you’d next see him.
After a few hours, you stop walking at Strider’s command. As bags are being unpacked, you turn to Strider.
“Strider, if we want Frodo to have any chances of survival, we must continue to Rivendell.”
“That is far too dangerous. We’ve already walked enough during the night. Fire brings us unwanted attention,” argues Strider.
“It is the only way. This poison travels extremely fast,” you insist, taking a step closer to him. “We wouldn’t stop, and the Riders wouldn’t be able to catch up with us. It’s the better option.”
“Look at them!” Strider snaps quietly. “They are not made for this! They have about ten meals a day! You cannot expect them to walk continuously for six days! They are stay-at-home creatures; they are no Rangers! And even less are they Elves!” As the volume of his voice increases, the Hobbits start listening in on your conversation. They seem to really see you for the first time, without your hood and in the firelight. If they notice your elf traits, they do not comment. You feel your temper rising quickly.
“I am not relying on their strength, I am relying on their determination and love for their friend,” you spit before turning to the Hobbits: “We would barely stop. We’re running out of food and are being chased by Wraiths. Make your choice.” Merry and Pippin exchange panicked looks, unsure of what to say.
“Look, all I know is that we’re wasting time, here! We’ll ride!” Sam exclaims. You nod and send him a small smile. You admire his heart. You start picking up your things.
“This is your problem, Ira,” Strider hisses as you trudge past him, “You never think about the consequences!”
“I do think of consequences! Right now, the consequence to us continuing at this pace would be Frodo’s death! I am trying to avoid that!”
“And you would prefer three Hobbits to die instead?”  “They can take it. However, I’m all ears if you have another solution,” you snap. He remains silent.
You stop three days later to rest for the night, despite your protests. You have enough knowledge of healing and medicine to know that Frodo will not survive much longer. You have come up with a solution, but you refrain from sharing it with Strider. You know he would not approve, and some things are easier without asking for approval. After making camp and waiting for the Hobbits to fall asleep, you tell Strider you would take the first guard. He nods. Things have been tense since your argument but neither of you are willing to back down.
Once you are sure he is asleep, you pack your bag with a small amount of food, making sure the other had enough left. You write a little note explaining your departure to Strider before mounting the horse and setting off. Just before you’re out of sight, you throw a twig at Merry. The young Hobbit shoots up and shakes Strider awake. Strider finds your note and shakes his head, pursing his lips.
You disappear into the night, unaware of the troubles ahead of you.
