hyuntae knew that max had way more experience in this type of thing then he did. he had even been able to participate in future dreams. he deserved the spot in type zero. but was this because his self-esteem was plummeting because of something personal happening the previous night. he couldn't get the words out of his head. 'no-one important'. if he wasn't important to even his 'best friend' then how would he be important to millions of already solid type zero fans. hyuntae took a deep breath sliding down the wall of the practice room.

thankfully no-one was there yet and he had the room to himself. since his dorm was empty there wasn't really any reason for him to be there. so why not continue practicing until he got the dance at least perfect. thats when he saw someone walk into the studio. he quickly straightened himself up and waited for the other trainee to fully come in. "hey max! come to practice more too?" he knew that max's excuse wasn't the same as tae's but why not have more practice in during such a nervewracking time?

(And also maybe the idea of using that tweet by Bigolas Dickolas as a blurb tickled me greatly. Because that whole situation was a highlight of my month.)

Do they wear a watch? (NPMD)

Richie: Obviously we're starting with him, and yes, he does wear a watch. He used to have a sailor moon watch, a Pokémon watch, a few more anime, but now he just has a black and blue, waterproof digital watch, since those ones were too fragile (ie, people kept breaking them)

Ruth: She has a watch but it's broken. She wears it every day and constantly forgets it's broken.

Pete: Absolutely he does. He has a waterproof analog watch that he has to stare at for at least 30 seconds to read, but he does have it.

Steph: She doesn't have a watch, but she will yank Pete's wrist to read his.

Grace: She generally doesn't wear a watch, but she does wear one to church so that she doesn't have to pull her phone to check the time.

Max: No, but he for some reason keeps looking at his wrist as if he does. Like, he'll pull up his sleeve and everything, and then realise he doesn't wear a watch and has to pull his phone.

Shapiro: She absolutely wears a watch. No explanation needed.

Bailey: He used to wear a watch, but the strap broke after a rough kerfuffle.

Jason: He wants one but forgets to buy one

Kyle: He thinks watches are stupid

Brenda: She has a smart watch

Stacy: She thinks watches are ugly

Solomon: He wears a watch, and so does Miss Tesburger. They make sure they're synced up every week.

The funny thing about knowing you were about to die, while everyone around you still had no idea of what was about to happen, was that it gave you time. Or at least it made her feel like time had slowed down, and gave her time to look at Cooper, at her violent, protective, rude, funny, ghoul who had not only accompanied her far longer than he needed to, but had kept her safe - and yes, sometimes held her at night, even if they hadn't talked about that - and she knew she couldn't watch him die. It was the one thing she just would not accept in this hard but free life. She couldn't lose him here, she couldn't take him away from his own mission either. But they were out of stimpacks, their temporary comrades were also pinned down, Dane and Max upstairs, the rest of the Brotherhood was late, the others who had joined them when she has asked her to pay her back for her past help were fighting the robots, so it was up to her, the only one with high enough science skills. It was up to her to get to the console, and she was never going to see Cooper again, because running away wasn't an option to her. "Dang, this is a sticky situation," she piped up, looking at the door that would lead her to the console room. "...'Waste not', right, Coop?" Protected by the pillar they were using as a barrier from the bullets, Lucy brought a hand to his shoulder to pull him close and pressed her lips against his. Besides him being hot, it just felt like kissing a man; a man who made her feel confusing, positive but distressing things, and Lucy took the little time she had left to allow those feelings to be there, her lips moving slowly but with the hunger of someone who wasn't going to be having a second one, and her hand gently touching the rough skin of his cheek. Enough.

She pulled back, licked her lips and gave him a wide smile, eyes sparkling with affection and unshed tears. No time to think or talk more, she used all her strength and speed to fling herself towards the door, hearing people yell for her; a few bullets did hit her, but she still kept on running and stumbling until she grabbed the console and started typing it. She didn't have the passkey to disarm the security system, and that meant that before hitting enter she had what felt like a spear go through her chest, but she still managed to press the key, and reprogram all the robots, before dropping to the ground, blood pouring from her fast. But it was okay. Vault Tec had lost control of the town, her friends were alive... Cooper was going to stay relatively alive too. He'd know what to do without her, he'd be fine. She wished she had kissed him sooner.

hyuntae could empathize with how max had felt. he knew just how many times he had almost debuted and didn't. he couldn't even think about how that must have felt. but no matter how he looked at it. he just didn't feel like he was ready to debut yet. "why am i more excited to be a backup dancer than debuting" he chuckled. at least with being a backup dancer he did what he loved most.

"did i miss anything else here?" he asked showing him his work book. "no matter what i think you'll debut. you're honestly too good not to" he teased. "i'll collect all you're photocards. its a good thing you're not in type zero. i bias too many people there now" hyuntae teased again. now with his brother, hyoseop and eunho there, he was would be busy trying to collect for them. "i just wanna be along for the ride. i want to be better first though" he stated looking at his workbook. "for example this. i don't even know half of this"

the more classes they gave them, the more he wanted to improve. but that didn’t mean he was happy about it. when he commented on him missing the s, he groaned. he was improving. but slowly. too slow. it was starting to overwhelm him. hyuntae sighed putting down his pencil and put his head in his hands taking a moment to stabilize himself.

“i should be happy right?” when his name wasn’t called for type zero he thought he was home free. but now he had the option to join versus. versus was an amazing group. super talented. but it wasn’t his group. not in his eyes. he was just a replacement. but he should jump at the opportunity. it was his chance, to finally show his family that his hard work wasn’t in vain.

“what about you? crazy right?” when the news had been said to them, his heart had sank for max, but when they were told about their opportunities he knew that max would do well.

if max got a dime for each time someone told to him that they should be feeling happy about debuting, he’d be a rich man. he’s got several theories on that but opts to keep quiet and just rub hyuntae’s shoulder comfortingly. at the end no reason to why they felt the way they feel will change anything.

“it’s... i feel like.. every morning when I wake up I’m prepared that they’ll tell me they changed their mind,” he admits with a pained smile. He’s been falling off short right at the finish line so many times it makes it almost impossible for him to believe he actually did make it now.

“but I hope they won’t. I really hope they won’t. I love type zeros sound, I would have loved to just... be confirmed and move to a dorm right away rather than living with this... weird maybe for another 6 weeks but- agito has a great sound too. I never really.. interacted with anyone from them except for keeho but I’m friends with most of the versus members. v&a is a great group. I’d be happy to debut there too. I’d just be happy to debut at this point, I won’t lie,” he admits openly with a bit of a self deprecating laugh.

after watching 4 whole seasons in less than 2 weeks i think house md is maybe the perfect example of why we need to bring back 20+ episode seasons. like yeah sure there's a very clear formula but: there's time to add sub-arcs! motifs! weird experimental episodes! the season finales actually feel like season finales because there's enough episodes in the rest of the season for the characters to have chances to breathe without sacrificing the momentum or wasting time. it actually feels like there's a passage of time happening without the need for explicit mid-season time skips or exposition dumps because, guess what, the season is long enough that time actually IS passing. when characters change their hair or visibly start to age it feels normal because again: time is actually passing in-universe. i yearn for the days when television actually felt like its own distinct thing!!!!!!! i also yearn for lisa cuddy but that's not the point here.

Hiii! Do you know of a master list of all the lestappen moments? Or a list of races to watch specifically for them?

I think having every lestappen moment would be a bit too much for anyone to work on it, if its not a combined work by multiple people, but @scuderiafemboy made a really nice thread last summer consisting of important moments, which is so helpful and sweet if anyone wants to know more about lestappen lore. @pretzelgotze also makes really nice summaries of each gp weekend, so I would advise it too ❤️
