I'm seeing a lot of people in the comments disparaging this remake, but I do want to go into a few reasons why it doesn't look as strong as the original.
Now of course no one is immune to nostalgia goggles and it's very easy to have that "they changed it, now it sucks!" instinctive reaction, so I am going to try to critique specific things and go into why I think they don't work as well.
First, I want to point out the composition of these two shots and specifically where the focus is.
In our original Hiccup and Toothless literally meet in the middle. With both Toothless and Hiccup pushed off the edge of the screen.
In this version they kept Hiccup fully in scene, but look how the focus of the action is now off to the side. We aren't focusing on either character-- they're both still pushed off to the edges of the screen-- but it's no longer both of them coming together in the middle, but rather Hiccup taking up the scene with Toothless starting to invade it.
Now this bit may be a little nit-picky, but look how perfectly the curve of Hiccup's hand matches Toothless's snout in the original in a way they don't in second image. They are so close, running parallel to each other. That's a very powerful image, and the remake doesn't quite match it.
I see a lot of people in the notes saying the lighting sucks, but no one explaining why. Looking at the bottom pic, you can see it actually has a greater value scale. There are a lot more midtones. Why is this bad? Because the action disappears into the background.
In the first pic there is a clear line of action going from Hiccup's arm to Toothless. By having these the lightest areas in the shot your eye is drawn to them. Then the darkest parts are Toothless's body and Hiccup's vest and hair which make them pop from the background. The most visible part of Toothless is his eye. There's a little bit of highlight on his scales and there's lighter midtones around his body to help clarify his silhouette, but we are drawn to his eye because of the light on dark contrast.
In the lower pic there is some highlight on toothless's scales (look at all that Texture! Wowee! We sure can put our computers to good use adding in details), but why is that the part on Toothless that stands out? Why is that important? Hiccup's arm kind of disappears into the background, and I can see more detail in the background than in our main character. The light sandy beach wants to draw my eye down, but there's nothing important there.
Now I put these in black and white to better see the contrast, but back to the color version, the background is mostly cool tones with warm light settling on our characters: another way in which the first one makes the characters stand out.
The only thing really catching my eye in the second one is that the greens are maybe too green? I'm not getting the same delineation of foreground and background.
There are a few other things to be picky about.
Like Hiccup's costume. Now I don't know enough about costumes to confidently pick it apart detail by detail (and honestly can't make out enough details to do so anyway) but what is one of Hiccup's defining traits? His scrawniness, right?
Look at that skinny little arm reaching out for that dragon. Look how that thin strip of lighter colored fabric visible from under his vest accentuates how slender his trunk is. Look how clearly you can see how he leans away from Toothless even as he reaches out for him. You can see the hesitation in his arm through his slightly bent elbow.
I feel like the bulky, loose costume on the actor makes him look bigger than he should and obscures body language.
Now here's the part where I want to remind y'all that art is subjective. These are some of my thoughts on this, but are by no means the only way view this. Also, please be nice to this kid. He got a chance to play a favorite childhood character. I'm sure he thought it was pretty cool to be given the opportunity and is trying really hard to live up to the role. None of the things I've pointed out here are his fault. Don't be a dick! Actors are people too.
I don't like that this is a thing. But I'm sure many people really tried to put in their best effort into this. Don't let your ire with Universal/DreamWorks for making a cash grab of your childhood nostalgia turn into harassment of artists and actors. I've seen that happen too frequently.
And remember: animation isn't an inferior art form, sometimes it really is the best medium to tell a story in.

idk what i was expecting but what looks like a shot-for-shot remake except with ugly ass high definition cgi that detracts from rather than enhances the cinematography really is. well it's a choice.

the thought of drew and obx actress!reader sweeping award season with their crime drama😍 maybe it’s about 2/3 seasons too to really get their characters yearning…
Hehe they’re on the red carpet at the Emmy’s with the rest of the cast but they’ve split off together to do interviews. The reporters are ecstatic at getting the main actor and actress of the hottest tv show this year in front of them. Ever the gentleman, Drew has his hand resting on her lower back as he guides them through the interview line ups.
“So Drew! Y/N! How are we feeling? Your show is predicted to sweep the awards tonight - what’s that feeling like?”
Drew looks over and obx actress!reader before smirking cheekily. “I mean… I’m honoured,” he drawled, laughing as he received a playful swat to his chest at the now-famous remark. “No, but really, it’s really rewarding to know that people are liking and appreciating our work. Just a big thank you to everyone who has watched our little show. For letting us put two seasons out as well - it’s amazing to see people have faith in us.”
When the reporter turned to obx!actress reader, she spoke too, “Pretty much just echoing Drew, but it’s been quite intense! You know, you always have hope that your project is going to do well, but seeing the way this has blown up and the love from the fans for us and these characters has been incredible!”
Drew nodded alongside her. The cameras caught the way the pair had subtly begun to lean into each other, though it was clear neither was aware of it.
“And guys, coming from Outer Banks to this kind of show, it must be crazy! You two played an on-off couple before, but now for your characters, the stakes are a lot higher. What would you say has been the most important thing to help you portray this different kind of relationship, especially balancing the really challenging scenes you’re filming?”
Drew reached for the mic first, looking towards obx actress!reader momentarily for approval before speaking. “Yeah, I think knowing each other for so long beforehand was probably the most important thing. We would always debrief after scenes and check in to make sure we were both good, just keeping ourselves in good condition.”
He passed the mic to the shorter woman by his side, turning his attention to her.
“When you’re filming scenes that put you on edge and really push you out of your comfort zone, having people you feel safe with is just so invaluable. Pedro was great with that too, and all the cast on the show really recognised the nature of what we were portraying. Drew and I had a routine that each evening after filming, we would go and get ice cream from this place near the set and just chill. It was really great to just sit silently and eat for a while, you know?”
The interviewer nodded, incredibly pleased with the answers she’d managed to get from the pair so far.
“Ok! So my last question before you go is this - who is the best dancer on the set? Drew, I know you love to show off your dance moves, but there are quite a few great dancers in the cast!”
The pair both thought silently for a moment, before obx actress!reader leaned into the mic, “it has to be Pedro! He loves a quick dance party in between takes.”
“I’m also gonna go with Pedro,” Drew chimed in.
The interviewer grinned widely, thanking them quickly as their publicist began to shuffle the actors over to the next interview stand. The camera caught the pair waving goodbye as they moved over, not failing to capture the way Drew’s hand still rested on obx actress!reader’s back. This time though, her hand was resting on his bicep as she turned to talk to him, their bodies pressed closely together. The interviewer thanked her lucky stars that the pair were so touchy because her editor was going to love this.

FIRST SNOW

— a/n: hello! how are you guys doing? it is my first time writing about snow so i'm sorry if it's not 100% accurate! i hope you guys like it and let me know your thoughts, my ask box is always open to talk/share things! english is not my first language, so forgive me if there's any mistake!
Spencer was lying on the sofa with a history book in his hands when something caught his eye beyond the pages. He looked up and saw the first snowflakes dancing outside the window. A surprised smile appeared on his face, an almost childlike gleam lighting up his eyes.
He quickly closed the book, put it aside, and approached the window, fascinated by the silent, almost magical rhythm in which the snow fell. His voice soft but full of enthusiasm, he called out to her:
“Love, come and see… the first snow of the year.”
She quickly joined him, and together they watched in silence, each absorbing the moment as best they could.
Spencer, with a smile on his lips, whispered, almost without thinking: “Sounds like an invitation to go outside and play, don't you think?”
She, who was watching the delighted expression on his face, laughed softly, lightly touching his shoulder. “You know… the snow is pretty, but I think it's even prettier outside,” she said with a suggestive smile.
Spencer looked away from the window to look at her, arching an eyebrow. “Do you want to… go out?” he asked, a mixture of hesitation and surprise hanging in his voice. “But it's freezing outside!”
“Exactly! It's the first snow of the year, Spence. We really need to celebrate.” She squeezed his hand enthusiastically as if the idea was irresistible.
He hesitated for a second, but her excitement was contagious. He bit his lip, pondered for a few seconds, and ended up smiling, nodding positively.
“Okay, but… no exaggeration, okay?” she agreed, still holding back a laugh, and the two of them looked at each other as if they were about to embark on an unexpected adventure.
As soon as they arrived outside, they were immediately greeted by icy air and the enchanting silence that only snow brings. The ground was covered in a fluffy, glistening layer, and soon she ducked down, quickly forming a snowball and throwing it at him with a mischievous grin.
“Hey!” Spencer laughed, feigning indignation, as he bent down to pick up a handful of snow and tried to hit back, but his throw came out crooked, hitting nothing but air.
They laughed, and after a few more clumsy attempts, he ended up slipping and falling backward into the snow, laughing at his own clumsiness. She approached him, holding his hand to help him up, but Spencer shook his head negatively and, still lying down, spread his arms and legs, starting to move to make an angel in the snow.
“Really? A snow angel?” she laughed, watching the scene with a twinkle in her eye.
“Hey, I've never done that before!” Spencer replied, with an embarrassed smile on his face as he tried to draw an angel, albeit a bit crookedly.
“That's not how it's done!” she crouched down next to him, adjusting her movements with affection and laughing even more as they tried together.
Their laughter echoed through the cold, and at that moment, under the gray sky and the flakes falling slowly around their bodies, it was as if nothing else in the world existed but the two of them.
After several jokes, they both finally stopped, taking a deep breath and trying to catch their breath. Still laughing, they turned to look at the landscape around them; the ground covered in an impeccable white blanket, the trees adorned with snow, and the gray sky that now seemed softer.
Spencer looked around with an expression of pure wonder as if he were seeing the scene through the eyes of a child. There was a sparkle in her eye that she rarely saw, a genuine and almost innocent happiness.
“It's been a long time since I've felt like this…” he murmured, with a slight smile, without taking his eyes off the landscape.
She smiled at the sight of him so relaxed and, without saying a word, moved closer and wrapped him in a warm hug, full of affection. Spencer rested his head on her shoulder, closing his eyes for a moment as he felt the warmth of that embrace in contrast to the cold snow around them.
“I'm so glad we came,” she whispered, squeezing him a little tighter. “I love seeing you like this.”
Spencer opened his eyes, returning the hug with the same intensity of affection, letting out a shy but grateful smile.
In that embrace, under the gray sky and amid the tranquility of the first snow, they felt they had found a piece of peace — and each other.
After a while, when the cold began to bite at their cheeks and fingers, Spencer and she, still smiling, intertwined their hands, as if the gesture was natural after the afternoon they had shared. Their footsteps left footprints side by side in the freshly fallen snow as they walked back to the house.
When they reached the door, Spencer stopped and looked at her, his eyes reflecting the simple peace and joy of that moment. They didn't say anything, but the silence between them seemed charged with meaning. It was as if, without needing to say anything, they both knew that this day would remain among their most special memories.
She gave Spencer's hand a gentle squeeze and returned his gaze, her eyes conveying the silent promise that this wouldn't be the last time. With a soft, complicit smile, Spencer shook his head, almost as if agreeing with that silent thought.
Still holding hands, they went inside, bringing with them the warmth of that moment — and the certainty that, with each other's company, there would be many happy moments to come.

Guess who watched X-Men origins again
OK SO I got THOUGHTS of this movie but specially Wade's fight style because it's really similar to our current Deadpool's fighting style... so yeah I wanna yap about that hi
WELL FIRST OF wanna talk a lil about Victor, Logan and Wade's different styles... from a mortal's view point I am no expert on this just insane about these movies and I need to write my thoughts or i'll explode
Starting with Victor!! the ultimate kittycat girlypop

OKAY SO VICTOR. Victor's style is obviously very animalistic but also stylized, he makes the fight a show for himself! He likes to hunt and he tries to always give chase or play around a bit before the kill, just like a cat playing with his food!
AND IF you pay attention to the start of the movie, this game he's got with his target isn't initially how he fought, he kinda developed it as the years went by and the eviler he got the more he played with his food. The first few wars he goes to he's fighting like a human soldier, then you can see him slip up some animal jumps and uses his claws more until at the end he's full on predator chasing his prey (just like when he captures Scott, my god I love that scene he's terryfing)
AND A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIM AND LOGAN (that I will also talk about later I guess) is that with this play thing Victor has going on it SHOWS that he THINKS about the stragety when fighting, he's aware of his surroundings and his target's strenghs and weaknesses, he's good at coming up with solutions on the spot (see his fight with John, he can predict where he's going to teleport and catch him) and how to give a good chase without losing WHILE LOGAN WELL, at least in this movie he seems very lost when fighting?? he mostly just launches at his target and attacks, if the target runs away he chases, very animalistic but in a feral-based on instincts way... prolly why he coulnt win agaisnt Victor at first, because he was being blinded by his rage while Victor was quite literally playing with him lmao

Now you must be wondering why did I put the bathroom scene, well I feel like it represents Logan's general situation pretty well! (and its silly let me be), hes confused destroying everything and just keeps making it worse every time he tries to fix it.
The thing about Logan in this movie is that he's honestly just- confused and angry from the moment he killed his father, he runs away over and over again from EVERYTHING and he's constantly being manipulated BY EVERYONE!! Poor man has no idea what to do with himself of who he can actually trust but damn he tries, his enviroment is contantly changing and he's trying his best to adapt but he does it in a messy way.
The way he fights and acts in general is animalistic, yes, but more of the "scared dog attacks" kind of way, he's always acting on his instinct that it's mostly led by anger. When he fights he just throws himself and tries to slash whatever he can, he runs he hides and then when he gets the chance to he attacks again.
He constantly has little to no control of the situtation WHICH IS SPECIALLY SEEN pre-adamantium where he keeps losing to Victor because unlike him- he has no plan, he's being manipulated and kept blind of everything ON PURPOUSE which obviouly puts him in a disadvantage so yeah.
AFTER he gets the adamantium you can see his skills strengen with his knowledge, the more he lears about his situation the more focused he is and his fighting it's cleaner, he still moslty just launches himself head first into fights BUT he's not running away, he's able to evaluate his situation and adapt (See his fight with Gambit, he looks at him when running away and then destroys the stair so Gambit can't run away OR with Deadpool where he decides to gain height as a way to create the space needed to evaluate his enemy?? that one might be a lil bit of a stretch tho)
WADE WILSON THE ULTIMATE CUTIE PRINCESS
let's ignore how dirty they did him ok...
OKAY SO SADLY- The bullet scene is pretty much the only scene where we see him fight and it's honestly not enough to tell how his normal style is BUT I WILL SAY his general style is fancy to look at and scarily effective (which is mostly seen with our current Wade but you can see a bit in origins deadpool) he makes a show for everyone to see, which is also his stragedy to make himself even better at combat! He uses a lot of fancy movements and acrobatics that help him AND takes his enemies off-guard, confusing them as where they should attack or what he's going to hit?? anyway-
Comparison time yippieee THIS IS WHAT THIS POST IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT LMAO
I did not get side tracked idk what you mean.... and now seeing it over and over I'm realizing not that noticeable.... so it's just not that much to talk about oops
LOOK AT THIS WADE, LOOK AT THE MOVEMENTS HE DOES WITH HIS LEGS!! HIS HANDS??? THIS MAN IS SHOWING OFF he's using all kinds of acrobatics and fancy movements while fighting, he attacks with his hands and dodges using mostly his legs, he's using all he has!! and it's making Logan lose BECAUSE LOGAN CAN'T FOCUS!! specially since he's so "target locked will attack", Wade makes it SO HARD for him to focus on a pose long enough to actually stab him also Logan ain't too good at dodging, I'm guessing it could be because he heals? dunno
now what inmediately came to my mind upon rewatch was THIS scene (maybe because I saw it recently who knows)
THE SETTING IS SO SIMILAR!! Wade is using a lot of fancy movements to get up, dodge and attack all way too fast for Logan to process, once again Logan is looking everywhere confused about where to aim bc this silly red guy it's dancing on his face and he's struggling to keep up JUST LIKE IN ORIGINS except well he IS able to get a hit bahah
Dodges like crazy, jumps over Logan (he did in origins too) just moves a lot between every attack
Actually now that I think about it Wade feels a bit less effective in the car, like yes sure he's putting up a good fight but Logan still feels like he's leading it BECAUSE WADE IS MORE EFFECTIVE WHEN HE HAS MORE SPACE!! he likes to be able to move around and do gimnastics while Logan it's a lot better the closer he gets to his target so omg yeah... ALSO LIKE WADE STILL TRIES TO MOVE AROUND he shoves Logan away from him, he gets out of the car choking logan with a seatbelt and gets to the back, he tries to create space because that's where his speciality WHILE LOGAN keeps trying to get closer to have him in his power, which he gets to do since the car isn't allowing Wade to move as freely as he would want to...
AND YOU CAN SEE HIS FANCY MOVEMENTS WITH FRANCIS TOO he's constantly circuling him, dodging and spinning while Francis is just trying to get a hit, Wade keeps his enemies chasing him when he fight THAT'S the way he controls it and gets it wherever he wants aughh
ANYWAY YEAH I think that's it, don't really know how much sense any of this does since I've been writing it on-and off the whole day lmao it's so messy but yeah feel free to add onto it I'd love to see opinions on this wahoo

"Alright, sweetheart," Logan said, his voice a low rumble that echoed off the empty gym walls. He stood in front of you, hands casually raised. The white tank top he wore clung to his chest, damp with sweat, and the sheen of it caught in the flickering overhead lights. He rolled his shoulders, muscles flexing in a way that seemed entirely unfair. "You gotta learn how to defend yourself."
You fiddled with the straps of the red gloves he’d given you, tugging at them. "I know, Logan," you said, arching a brow, "but do we really need to do this? I mean, c’mon—what’s the point? I don’t want to hurt you."
He laughed, the sound warm and deep. "Hurt me? Darlin’, you couldn’t hurt me if you tried." He tilted his head at you. "But you’re welcome to give it a shot."
You narrowed your eyes, torn between amusement and the urge to wipe that smug look off his face. He looked too at ease, standing there with his hands up and that teasing smirk curling at the corner of his mouth.
"Alright, fine," you huffed, stepping forward. "But don’t come crying to me if I accidentally break that pretty nose of yours."
"Pretty?" He raised an eyebrow, his smirk growing wider. "I’ll take that as a compliment."
"You would," you muttered under your breath.
Logan spread his feet into a fighting stance, nodding toward you. "C’mon, then. First lesson—don’t telegraph. You gotta keep me guessing." He raised a hand to gesture toward your shoulder. "See, you’re tense here. Makes it obvious what you’re about to do. Relax."
"Relax? That’s easy for you to say," you shot back, shaking out your arms. "You don’t have to punch you."
"Exactly," he said with a wink. "Now focus. Don’t think. Just swing."
Taking a deep breath, you stepped in and threw a jab toward his chest—not too hard, but enough to show you meant business. Logan dodged it effortlessly, leaning to the side as though it were a breeze that brushed past him. He gave you an almost pitying look, clicking his tongue.
"Sloppy," he teased, circling you like a predator playing with its prey. "That all you got, sweetheart? I thought you said you didn’t wanna hurt me."
You glared at him, your cheeks heating. "Oh, I will hurt you, Logan," you shot back, a spark of determination lighting in your chest. "Just wait."
He chuckled, that infuriating smirk still plastered on his face. "That’s more like it. Now stop aiming for where I am—aim for where I’m gonna be."
You gritted your teeth, eyes narrowing as you watched him move. He was testing you, but there was something about the glint in his eye—like he was enjoying this, not just the sparring, but you. You tried to read him, to guess his next step, and when he shifted ever so slightly, you swung again, this time aiming lower.
To your surprise, he stepped right into it, catching your gloved hand in his palm with a sharp smack. His grip was firm but careful, and he grinned down at you, clearly pleased. "Not bad," he said, his voice softening. "You’re getting there."
You groaned, tugging your hand back. "You let me get that one."
"Maybe," he said with a shrug, the cocky edge returning. "But you still gotta work on your follow-through. What if I wasn’t nice enough to stop it, huh?"
"Nice? You’re about as nice as a brick wall," you muttered, trying to ignore the way your heart was pounding—not from exertion, but from the way he was looking at you.
Logan’s grin softened into something almost fond. "You’ve got more fight in you than you think," he said, reaching out to gently adjust your stance. His hands lingered on your shoulders for just a second before he stepped back. "Now, one more time. And this time, I want you to mean it."
You nodded, steeling yourself. He was still smirking, but there was something else there too—a flicker of pride, maybe, or just the satisfaction of seeing you rise to the challenge. Whatever it was, you weren’t about to let him down.
You shifted your weight, fixing your gaze on his chest as if it were a target. Then, without warning, you lunged forward, throwing your whole body into the punch. He moved to dodge, but this time you were ready—you adjusted mid-swing, your fist just grazing his ribs. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to make him blink, a flicker of surprise crossing his face.
"Well, look at that," Logan said, stepping back and rubbing his side with exaggerated drama. "You almost got me."
"Almost?" you said, crossing your arms. "Pretty sure I felt that connect."
"Sure, sure," he said, smirking as he leaned closer, his voice dropping. "Next time, maybe try a little harder. You might even make me flinch."
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t help the smile tugging at your lips. “Whatever, let’s just go again.” You stepped back, shaking out your hands like a boxer psyching themselves up.
Logan smirked, circling you slowly, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of amusement and challenge. His confidence was infuriating—like he was untouchable, always one step ahead. But as he moved, you caught his focus was on your gloves, like he thought that was all you had to work with.
Big mistake.
You let your shoulders drop, exhaling slowly as if you were done. "Alright, you win," you said, feigning defeat. "You’re too good, Logan. I give up."
He tilted his head, one brow quirking in suspicion, but the grin never left his face. "Oh, c’mon now, don’t quit on me, sweetheart. Where’s that fire I saw a minute ago?"
"It’s gone," you sighed dramatically, letting your gloves hang at your sides. Then, as he paused in his pacing, you stepped forward, closing the distance between you in two quick strides. Logan’s smirk faltered slightly, his eyes narrowing as if he sensed something coming.
Instead of throwing a punch, you leaned in and kissed him.
For a split second, Logan froze. His lips were warm and slightly parted, caught completely off guard by the sudden move. You felt his breath hitch against your mouth, and then—just as he started to kiss you back—you shifted your weight and swept your foot behind his ankle, knocking him clean off balance.
“Whoa—!” Logan grunted as he hit the mat with a thud, his broad shoulders absorbing most of the impact. He blinked up at you in shock, sprawled out flat on his back.
You straightened, grinning down at him as you tugged your gloves off one by one and tossed them aside. “Gotcha,” you said, hands on your hips.
He stared up at you, and you couldn’t tell if he was more surprised or impressed. Then, a slow, lazy smile spread across his face, and he let out a low chuckle that made your stomach flip. "Well, I’ll be damned. That was sneaky."
You crouched down beside him, trying to look innocent. “What’s the matter, big guy? Can’t handle a little creative thinking?”
“Creative thinking, huh?” Logan propped himself up on his elbows, his grin turning wolfish. “I don’t think that counts when you cheat.”
You gasped, feigning offense. “Cheat? Cheat? I think you’re just mad I finally got the drop on you.”
“Oh, is that what you think?” he drawled, his tone playful but laced with a hint of a challenge. Before you could blink, his hand shot out and grabbed your wrist, yanking you forward. You let out a startled laugh as you tumbled down onto the mat, landing half on top of him.
“Logan!” you protested, trying to pull back, but his arms wrapped around your waist holding you in place. He was grinning up at you now, his eyes bright with amusement that made your breath catch.
“You’re gettin’ cocky, sweetheart,” he said, his voice low and teasing. “But I gotta admit, that was a hell of a move.”
You smirked, leaning in just enough to meet his gaze head-on. “Guess you’re not as quick as you thought you were, huh?”
“Careful,” he murmured, his fingers brushing along your side. “You keep talkin’ like that, and I might have to teach you another lesson.”
“Oh yeah?” you shot back, your voice dropping to match his. “And what’s that?”
Instead of answering, Logan pulled you down the rest of the way and kissed you, slow and deliberate. His lips were warm and firm, and he kissed like he fought—with total confidence and just a hint of something wild beneath the surface. The world narrowed to just the two of you: the heat of his body against yours, the rough scrape of his stubble, the way his hand slid up your back like he didn’t want to let you go.
When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against yours, and his voice was a low, satisfied rumble. “Lesson one,” he said, his smirk returning. “Never let your guard down.”

Well. You don’t know how you started shuffling on the good ol’ mortal coil again, but you certainly don’t plan on advertising that fact to dear Stardust, so that means the hat is yours now!
(Maybe you should burn it. Y’know, symbolically! That would probably be fun!
But… someone made this for you. Someone looked at the snotty little kid you probably were, and made this for you to last your whole life. You couldn’t…)
You settle the hat on your head gently; it sinks down through the rays of light and lands, surprisingly, on soft hair.
Loop finds themself alive again, with a choice to make.

You don't know how you are alive.
You had disappeared– blown away on the wind, specks of light, probably really pretty if it wasn't, y'know, you, and then you had blinked and you were lying under the Favor Tree, Dormont's party in the distance the only indicator that you weren't at the start of a loop.
You had booked it into the forest as soon as you realized what was going on. Wouldn't want Stardust and their family to find you, after all!
(The mysterious traveler Siffrin, the helpful guide Loop, the Universe's favorite (ha!) court jester, brought back to life again. It would be indecent to try and take something that wasn't yours, after you already failed once.)
Your foot hits something soft. You look down; Stardust's hat lies crumpled on the forest floor.
Oh, that's right! It had fallen off during his adorable little confession scene, blown away off the roof of the house! It's just your blinding luck to be the one to find it, isn't it!
Poor little Stardust, out there with a cold head; you're sure the Fighter is already coming up with ideas for a new one, and the Researcher wondering where exactly it could've landed, and maybe the Housemaiden is fretting over whether he's too cold–

Eventually, after… a while of walking, you find a town. It's tiny, even smaller than Dormont, and you don't think it's one you've been to before. It's certainly a bit hard to remember anything from before the loops, though~!
There’s a market set up in the center of town, stalls selling food and clothes and all sorts of nice little things you don't have enough money to buy.
You wonder if this town had been frozen, and for how long. You wonder if they know the King is dead– well, they probably know something is up, what with Stardust's little light show having been seen for miles (and by the Universe, your head still hurts if you think about it).
"Hello?" A woman asks, walking up to you hesitantly. "Are you looking for something?"
You realize, abruptly, that everyone is staring at you. You also realize that, along with having a star for a head, you are technically naked.
"Just wandering through the area!" You say brightly.
She nods. "Well, alright… Do you mind if I ask your name?"
Huh! Well, you didn't expect that! You run your tongue along your teeth absently, wondering what name to give her. Siffrin is, haha, obviously not an option. Loop is–
wait. What had you just done? You had teeth? A tongue? A mouth?
"Actually." You say, most of the brightness dropping from your voice. "I am looking for something. Is there a bathroom I can use?"
...
You think maybe Stardust was right about something; bathrooms are great for breakdowns! This one even has a nice little mirror on the counter for you to stare at yourself in! They only had a door!
Oh. You can probably use it for other things, too, like seeing if you were imagining things other than big spikes of light on your head.
You take the hat off and hold the mirror up to your face, squinting. Underneath the light, if you look hard enough… yup! That’s definitely eyes and a mouth and all those other little important things that make up a face!
WELL! A fat lot of good that does, finally becoming human again when your precious little understudy has already left the stage with YOUR FAMILY–
The mirror cracks under your thumb. Whoopsie, you can't control your own strength and now it looks like now you have to apologize to that nice lady~!
You take a closer look at your face. You look… well, like yourself! Maybe that isn’t surprising! There’s more of those weird little star freckles that adorn the rest of your body. Your left eye is dull and lightless, which makes sense considering you still can’t see a BLINDING THING OUT OF IT–
Haha. Blinding! It’s funny because you’re half blind! Aren’t you a funny little fellow!
You put your hat back on and lean back against the sink, studying how it sits. It looks a little silly, honestly, because the spikes of light just sort of… disappear into it. You take your hat off and they spring back up. It would be kind of fun to watch, if, y’know, looking at light in a mirror didn’t hurt your eye.
There’s a tentative knock on the door. You jump a little and drop your hat back on your head.
“Bright one?” The nice woman says. “Are you alright in there?”
Oooh, you do NOT like that title! Not one bit! You’ve gotta come up with a name fast now! Hurry, hurry, hurry!
Stardust is your copy– well, you suppose now you’re the copy, so maybe you should reverse their name. Nirffis? Is that anything?
…That’s horrible, is what it is! It’s nothing! Do better!
Something flickers through your mind. There’s… a story? Something about twins and a sheep and a constellation? You can’t remember anything about the story, or even what a constellation is, but you and Stardust are certainly twins, aren’t you?
(Close enough, anyway.
And you like sheep well enough, too.)
“I’m fine.” You say cheerfully after a moment, clasping your hands together in front of yourself and smiling. “And call me Gemini.”
(You remember she can’t see you after a moment and feel stupid. Your hat is crooked and you’re still holding the mirror, too.)

This was such a great chapter, Tesh! I really loved getting to read about Nia and Toby trying to get their real first lead into the earthquakes. I also really liked reading about the tense scene in the rain between Calder and Kern. I do wonder if the Girafarig that slipped away will show up again. I do have to wonder what they might be up to.
I also loved seeing Samir team up with Team Scarlet in this chapter. Toby internally noting how Nia attracts lonely people to her was such a cute touch. I thought the narration’s noting of the the town having so much rain to be quite interesting. Perhaps a Pokemon is using Rain Dance? On that note, Earthquake is a TM, and a large number of Pokemon can learn it, including Girafarig. I’m not sure on how TMs might factor into the world of Seekers of Soul, so I’ll just have to wait to see if any of my move theories might be have some truth to them.
Another part of this chapter I really loved was the worldbuilding. Toby being sensitive to contact with water due to being a Fire type is so interesting to me. Does he drink water at all, or does he only stay hydrated through hydration berries? I also loved the little detail of Deidra being more sensitive to the quakes since she is a Lopunny and thus has pretty good hearing. Nia having the wherewithal to get under the saloon was also such a good detail since I know some places in the our world have extensive earthquake education. That makes me think that Nia must have lived somewhere near an earthquake fault, or at least learned about it at some point.
I think you’ve done such a great job expanding the world of Seekers of Soul, especially when it comes to the mythos and geography. The towns and locations visited so far feel very lived in. The Xylem Guild is a cozy community of Seekers, Ghatha is a lively city of colorful stone, and Asra is a desert mining town that comes alive at night after the day’s work is done.
Finally, I want to say I loved seeing more of Toby’s softer side this chapter. It was especially clear when he absorbed the Oricorio’s words, letting them take precedent for a moment over his need to find information about Team Zenith. He’s really come such a long way. Nia too, she would have never have gathered the courage to chase after Samir in the rain after an earthquake at the start of the story. You’ve done such a great job with their character development. I’m so excited to see where their adventures lead them next, with the matter of Giratina hanging over their heads and all. There’s also the matter of Will. At this point, I do not trust him and going by an animation you posted a few years ago, he’s definitely connected to Giratina in some way. Either way, I’m looking forward to seeing what Nia, Tobias, and Samir find in the mines next time.

Legolas at Theodred's Funeral
I get he's there because he's a "main character", and it's an otherwise really emotional and moving scene, but I will always get the giggles when I see Legolas in Theodred's funeral procession.
And not just in the procession, but in a pretty top spot quite close behind the king.
Gandalf and Aragorn make some sense. Gandalf is Theoden's friend and he probably knew Theodred himself. It makes sense he'd be fairly far up the rankings. With Aragorn, ok there's a little bit of "main characters must be in shot" syndrome having him in such a prime position, but he did know Theoden, he did fight with the Rohirrim under the name Thorongil. And there's an argument to be made that as rightful King of Gondor; Rohan's ally, he gets a top spot as Gondor's representative (even if his lineage isn't common knowledge at this point.)
But Legolas. Legolas has never Theoden. Legolas has never been to Rohan. He has no connection with Rohan or any member of the Rohan royal family. The first time Legolas has ever seen Theodred is at his funeral.
Yet at the prince's funeral, there he is, in the procession, right behind the king.
See.
*Must be serious. Must be sombre. Must look sad for death of guy I don't know.*
And like, there will be soldiers, there will be Riders and lords and people who knew Theodred and loved him, and were loved by him in turn, and they get bumped down the procession to make way for a random elf.
Is it because Gandalf and Aragorn were thought owed a top spot, and no one wanted to ask Legolas to hang back in case he felt left out? Is it Legolas's immortality causing a lack of understanding about social niceties around funerals, so he decides to put himself at the front of the funeral procession because that's where is pals are? Or did he just turn up at the funeral as Aragorn's plus one?

in this post, I will use complit to explore the bodyswap theme in Nona the ninth. in january i read isle mcelroy's people collide, a pretty good litfic novel with a great premise: a husband and wife experience an unexplained body swap and have to adjust to possibly permanent life in a body that is both wrong and right for them in unexpected ways. mcelroy's very thinky treatment of this idea really crystallized and brought forward some ideas I had about palamedes, camilla, and paul on my most recent ntn reread. mcelroy's novel focuses mainly on the husband now living in the wife's body, who discovers shortly after waking up that way that his wife, in his body, has disappeared. when he finds her again she is preternaturally confident and self-satisfied, while he has struggled with his self-image and self-conception, but also found things to love about being in her body. in their scenes together upon reunion, especially the sex scenes, there is some really delicious focus on whose body is whose. this is partly done through clever wordplay and partly through narrator commentary. this is what really made me start thinking about palamedes and camilla.
nona, expert of the body, is constantly Noticing who is in camilla's body at any one time. if she doesn't know, it is assumed to be camilla until proven otherwise. even in scenes like palamedes' conversation with the angel (in the classroom, day 4), where we can tell its palamedes before nona explicitly says so, nona's narration is very specific about when the switch happens.
Camilla took her dark glasses off and folded them up neatly, to put in her breast pocket. Then she said quietly -- "May I ask a question?" Nona glanced up at Camilla's face, just to confirm it. "Go ahead," said the Angel, smiling without her eyes having anything to say about it. "Back on Lemuria, or anywhere else," said Palamedes...
this switch is notable to me for two reasons. first, as mentioned above, Nona is careful to refer to the person as Camilla, even though it is clear to us in hindsight that the switch must've happened at the very least before the coordinated trip intended to read the Angel's body with necromancy. second, camilla's body is still camilla's body, even with palamedes inside. this is even clearer later in the scene, with the line "Palamedes stepped Camilla's body forward." in the passage above, nona is looking at camilla's face, but not at camilla. to me, this kind of word trick is one of muir's most impressive and subtle talents.
practically every time nona witnesses a palamedes/camilla switch, she notices little details like the above. it underlines the theme of body ownership again and again. it is camilla's body, palamedes can only pilot it temporarily. to nona, it is never his, even for a moment. i think that this is part of what it so absolutely world-shakingly terrifying for nona about paul, and why paul's emergence foretells nona's understanding of the "middle thought." nona doesn't know basically anything about necrocav dynamics, and as an outside observer, she doesn't understand the way palamedes had rights to camilla's body (even if he rarely exercised them) even before inhabiting it. so when she witnesses paul, she is watching what we can understand as a logical endstate of their lifelong relationship, but what she can only understand as a complete and final subsuming of a body that was always only camilla's. nona has been told for the entire book up to this point that the body she's in does not belong to her, and paul forces her to finally face the reality that she might genuinely lose rights to it.
to bring these thoughts together, both muir and mcelroy are building on the idea of bodily autonomy and ownership. they both futz with who lives in a body in order to create strange, heightened, circumstances. and they both highlight those moments with clever wordplay around who is acting in who's body at a given moment. with mcelroy, we are inside the bodyswap, and it is a very intimate experience centered almost entirely on the two characters. with muir, nona's view of camilla and palamedes is our primary focus for this theme. it might be easy to forget that pyrrha, judith, ianthe, kiriona, and nona herself are all also in similar body-ownership plots, because they receive even less focus. its certainly one of the main themes of this book, as well as the series as a whole. it feels obvious, but the complexity and depth of the execution is underdiscussed.

Hello, Nick! Can you share with us some of your favorite scenes into the writing process of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory? Or even some scenes that didn't end up on the show but you liked it?
Gosh, we wrote these so long ago it's so hard to come up with specifics. For the episodes I wrote, I loved writing the scenes in "Halfway Home" between Daniel and Kenji. I have a relationship in my own life that mirrors (to a certain extent) theirs, so to be able to put all of myself into that episode -- my first as a staff writer on a TV series -- was very special for me. It really allowed me to completely open myself up to working with other writers to intimately. I also get a giggle out of the part where Kenji doesn't have the words to describe Daniel's ultimatum, so he just grunts -- I didn't know if it would make anyone else laugh, but it seemed to, so it stayed! That was pretty fun.
"The Drop" was a bit tougher for me, as it was a pretty pivotal moment between Darius and Kenji. In their scene where they struggle over possession of Brooklynn's phone, I really wanted Darius to rear back to take a swing at Kenji, but for some reason, in a show where people are eaten by dinosaurs, throwing punches (or even implying it) was a no-go, but what ended up in there was still really fun and to the spirit of what I was trying to do.
"Batten Down the Hatches" was sooooo much fun to write as a horror and action fan -- I feel like the team really took what I wrote and ran with it in the best possible way! Seeing that one at SDCC with a group of like 800 fans was something I will never forget. People laughed, gasped, shouted at the screen -- it was just such a cool moment for me.
But getting to introduce Soyona Santos was also such a special thing for me. As I've said in the past, getting to write for Dichen Lachman was such a fanboy moment for me, I'm so glad I got to reintroduce her to the world and help usher in a more three dimensional version of the character than there was time for in Dominion. I love the cat-and-mouse vibe of their conversation. There's also the bit that I'm not sure many picked up on where Santos is the one who uses the term, "limb difference" for the first time in the series. Our consultants had taught me that phrase, and I thought it was an interesting choice for Santos to introduce it to Brooklynn. The thinking was somewhere along the lines of, in her quest to get deeper into the trafficking of dinos, she probably didn't have a ton of time to look into how she was really feeling about losing her arm, let alone find anyone else who'd introduce that phrase to her. So when Santos uses it, there's a split second where Brooklynn kinda connects with it. I think it shows that Santos isn't just a mustache-twirly type of villain. She's intelligent, she's hip to how language has evolved, and she might even be a good person in another life. There was a moment where it was called into question whether or not Santos would use the phrase, so I'm especially glad we got to keep it in there.
And don't even get me started on the episodes my amazing colleagues wrote for the rest of the series. They all did such an incredible job, I don't even have enough words to express how awesome their episodes turned out, not to mention how awesome all of the rest of the crew did in bringing the show to life!!

I had to play the field a little bit for the shooting star festival in Fields of Mistria. Here's my reaction to Balor's, Hayden's, Eiland's, Juniper's and March's dates

What do you mean "next year, huh...." WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Damn, why's he sitting so far away? Is this his very unsubtle projection of being a mysterious bad boy? Ooorrr is he leaving room for jesus? 🤷♀️
Final thoughts: A little underwhelming, but I suppose given Balor's air of mystery, his romance is a slow burn. I predict that you really gotta commit to him before you can learn more about him.

Final thoughts: Not gonna lie, I've been pretty lukewarm on Hayden so far, but this cut scene instantly made him my favourite bachelor out of the bunch! Just picturing a little Hayden sitting on the roof of his farmhouse with his grandma, watching the stars and eating popcorn is the turbo booster shot of wholesome serotonin I needed.

Awwww, it's really cute when he gushes about archaeology and history 💖
But then it got deep
Poor Eiland. I suppose he must constantly feel like the odd one out in his family, given his vested interest in Mistria's past. I do like how the farmer can encourage him and show him that his work is important and has merit. That was really sweet.

Final thoughts: Juniper is a queen, as always. I adore how sassy she is, and I love how she flirts calls you out when you return her sass in kind. There is a hint of sadness to this scene though that I did not picture here. I think deep down, Juniper is lonely, and that makes me just want to love on her even more. 💔

I was accused of being a drama queen and told I should be blocked for starting drama, while the person who said that didn’t even bother to block me themselves.
Then, I started noticing a lot of people who had liked the shady posts about me a month ago suddenly hearting my posts again.
At first, I thought maybe something had happened behind the scenes, causing people to reconsider, even though I’ve been minding my own business and going back to my usual content—without talking about the situation, even privately.
Then, a post I made did pretty well for someone like me, and I saw this narrative being spun around that same time.
I actually planned to spare you all the details because I think this community has a huge misogyny problem that nobody really cares to address, and I wanted the focus to remain on respecting my work, not fueling more drama.

First of all, this is a bad look. Are you mad because you got blocked? Mad you think I needed you to reblog me immediately? Mad that people took one side of the story but you refuse to share yours because it "doesn’t matter"? Mad that I blocked you before the incident even happened a month ago?
The ccfinds blog in question has never reblogged my work.
For weeks, I tagged them on many of my posts, and they still never reblogged. One of those posts still have the tags on them, as I pointed out over a month ago.
That same blog consistently missed my tags, but never missed the tags of white creators who uploaded the same day as me.
The ccfinds blog has a history of ignoring small creators in general, but especially small creators of color.
It’s funny how they only seem to “find” the tags of small creators of color once those posts have gained enough notes on their own, without any help from the ccfinds blog.
Then, suddenly, they reblog it.
And, suddenly, after I called them out, this blog started reblogging small creators of color a lot faster about a month ago. So much so, it was noticed by the same creators of color this cc finds blog typically ignores. (To make this even clearer: they were suddenly reblogging small creators of color more frequently to make it look like they aren't racist.)
I didn’t even realize this until I asked other small creators of color about it.
This is already KNOWN about you in creator spaces behind the scenes.
So, if you don’t like me, AND despite suddenly reblogging small creators of color (who you typically ignore), you still never reblogged me.
Never. Not once.
After I publicly addressed this, you messaged me claiming you went looking for my tags but couldn’t find them. Well, of course—you couldn’t find them because I had already blocked you.
I only need to be told once that you typically ignore poc. After realizing you were intentionally ignoring me, then poc telling me, you typically ignore them unless their posts do well without you, it's literally all I needed to know.
Let me be clear: I don’t know why you think I should continue tagging you when:
You never reblogged me,
This pattern spanned weeks and several posts,
You were actively reblogging other creators (white creators, to be specific) who uploaded the same day as me.
It’s not about doing it “immediately.” Everyone else I tag gets to it within a week or two, sometimes even days. This was never about timing—it’s the total absence.
The pattern was clear. I noticed it because it was consistent.
I used your tag because it fit my work—it’s an xto3 conversion, and you’re an xto3conversion finds blog, right?
But here’s the thing: other ccfinds blogs? They reblog EVERYONE’S work regardless of popularity. That’s why I respect them the most—they meant it when they said they wanted to support creators.
Your blog doesn’t feel like that. It feels like a table people can’t sit at if the host doesn’t like them. And this isn’t just my experience—other small creators, especially creators of color, have noticed this too.
And as for BelleKenobi... publicly “wondering” what you did wrong, but privately ignoring my message?
A whole month later?
What happened to “touching grass,” sis?
You’re this disgruntled a whole month later?
I directly asked you about it after you made that post—told you to say it with your whole chest—but you ignored it. So why are you acting like you’re still wondering what you did wrong now?
Is this not you ducking me?
You’re wondering. You’re curious. It’s a month later, and you’re still confused. But you had all this time to respond.
Really seems like you’re just acting confused publicly to protect your image.
You see, I cleared you a month ago. I apologized publicly and privately. Then you ran off and made that passive-aggressive post.
Despite knowing you’re still a bully, despite still associating with other bullies in this community, and even after harassing people and laughing about it in a Discord server for everyone to see, I still cleared you from that situation.
Because it was not your blog.
But then you made that shady post, and people saw the real you.
You can’t put that on me because, again, I cleared you from the drama. You inserted yourself back into it when you made that passive-aggressive post.
Even if people didn’t know you to be passive-aggressive or a bully before, they certainly thought so after that post.
You could’ve just kept quiet, or even publicly accepted the apology. Played it off like you were confused—but you messed up your own optics with that post.
Then I wouldn’t have had to mention to everyone that you’ve been a mean girl in this space. You could’ve kept your innocence, but you didn’t.
I was going to let it slide.
I could’ve said, “you’re not the blog, but you’re still a bully, so I don’t care”—but I have something called integrity.
A bully is going to bully, and you would've slipped up anyway.
Everyone would’ve seen it for themselves, whether I said something or not.
Which you did immediately after my apology, by the way.
Now, a whole month later, you're being a hypocrite to the oh-so-kind advice you gave me before?

Both of you do not like me. You didn’t before I called this out, you didn’t during, and you don’t now.
So why are you crying about being blocked by someone you don’t like and have never supported?
Does this have anything to do with the fact I’m not canceled? That people didn’t block me in solidarity? That you and all your friends have to like each other's posts now to make it look like you’re still popping? That I still have a YouTube channel and an amazing Discord server? That people still fuck with me? That you no longer have access to me? That I put up a boundary? That I block people who clearly do not like me?
Here’s my advice: block people who don’t like you, instead of searching them up to see if you’re blocked. Then you’ll gain the same peace of mind I have.

The TBT got me thinking about the movie's writing again, so here's some thoughts. Clay being the only one to get an on-screen apologize doesn't make any sense narrative wise.
When you look exclusively at what's implicitly canon (so no 'he was at the tree that whole time' headcanons, even if they make some sense), Clay is the least in need of apologizing compared to the other three. Bruce is slightly more in need of apologizing than him because he was the second eldest and second to leave, but this point is not about him, it's about how it should have been either JD or Floyd (ideally it would be all of them apologizing actually, but again, not about that rn)
John Dory is practically the main force behind the movie's plot and emotional conflict, so we're talking about him first. John Dory in the movies, well, he kinda sucks a lot of ass. During the Brozone days, he was very bossy, overbearing, lowkey emotional/verbally abusive and the first to leave them all while being the oldest and implied to be their only caretaker outside of their elderly grandma. And even though some people give Clay and Bruce shit for how they behaved towards JD during the Rhonda fight scene, they were RIGHT, he was being bossy and a dick during that scene, and while all the bros were at fault about how they treated Branch during it, he was also the worst of them (like he was the only one who not only denied they would stay together after saving Floyd, but also actually made fun of Branch for even thinking so). And that is without mentioning how he got the the three of them trapped later in the film in the stupidest way possible.
This is NOT to say that he is some kinda of unredeemable abusive monster, no, even if its not said out loud in the movie, its left pretty implicit that he had his reasons for acting the way he did and that he was under a lot of stress himself running the band and caring for his 4 younger brothers while likely being a kid himself during the Brozone days. BUT, after all that, it feels so strange to have the time for one singular apologize apparently and to not give it to HIM of all people. He giving Branch the lead during the Family Harmony is the only thing he does that implies he changed his way after ALL of that, even Venner gets more redeemable qualities than that!
It just makes his storyline feel incomplete honestly, like the movie only bothers to drop slight hints that this man doesn't completely suck and then turns around and both doesn't build up further on those hints AND doesn't make him do anything to redeem himself with Branch and any of his other brothers.
And if for whatever reason it wasn't going to be John, why not Floyd??? I don't even care that much that we don't get a reason for why Floyd never went back, its kinda even implied that he never intended to come back and was just trying to comfort Branch by lying, but again, if you're going to set aside time for one-on-one apologizes after everything is set and done, why not use it for tying up one of the main story points set in the begging of the movie.
Is like they even forgot that they set up Floyd promising to come back and never doing so, because as far as I remember (could be wrong tho), after the introduction, Branch only refers to Floyd as "the only one who said goodbye". With for Branch's character makes sense really, but for the narrative feels plain unsatisfactory. It sets time aside to set up out loud that something was supposed to happen and it never did (crucially affecting the trajectory of the main character's life) and it just... never brought up again. No excuse, no Im sorry for that actually, no anything. Instead we get Clay, which in the movie, has no special relationship or plotline with Branch compared to the rest whatsoever, being the one that gets to have on-screen closure. Why?????
In conclusion, the movie could have an 100% better script and tighter emotional conclusion if they had just let the writers have two even ONE extra rewrites. But not, instead we get two plotlines that likely will never get resolved because got forbid this franchise actually has a proper continuity between films yippeeeeee
(Im truly sorry for this ramble, I just have too many thoughts and too little friends that even know what Trolls are, and by too little I do mean actual zero. Hope you enjoyed it at least, if not, Im sorry again)
I agree that Clay was the one Troll who had a good reason he never got to go back and visit or anything. It was definitely weird that he was the only one who apologized for never getting to see Branch grow up, but I think it says a lot about his character that he did.

BONUS Thoughts on Chapter 120 of TBHK
Here is EVERYTHING I noticed in Chapter 120 of TBHK
Let's get the bandaid off right now, since it's pretty obvious that whatever Teru saw down that well was probably Kou and Mitsuba's bodies, do you think this is what aidairo was trying to foreshadow when they made this panel 2 chapters ago? Because if so, THAT IS EVIL ^^;
Secondly, I didn't even notice this until now but when kou asks yashiro to reset the timeline, you clearly see that his hand is see through, signifying that the while the Kou we see IS IN FACT the real kou, it's really just his spirit looming in the Red house, meaning that he was already Dead when she saw him 😢
Finally I don't know about you, but to me this felt VERY familiar to what happened in the severance arc, did anyone else get the EXACT same vibes from this scene at the end of this chapter, because I can't be the only one right? Anyway if this doesn't prove to you that aidairo LOVES reusing old panels and Scenarios for recent Chapters to foreshadow things, then I don't know what does because just LOOK AT IT! It is clearly the same exact scenario 😭😭😭 anyway that's everything I noticed, but whaddya think?

Nothing actually explicit is written, I just couldn’t write the sex scene. I haven’t written one in sooo long 💁 if I get inspo I’ll write a continuation though :)
The first few years after Ford fell into the portal Stan barely changed anything in the house. He still felt like he was invading Ford’s house, Ford’s life. He was playing the part of Ford but he still wasn’t Ford.
Years later it was clear this mindset went away. The shack turned into Stan’s house as well as Ford’s. Ford’s strange anomaly collections, books, and nicknacks, mixed together with Stan’s clothes, magazines, and mystery shack attractions.
Post weirdmageddon, Ford was still getting use to this. It’s been so many years since he’s had to share space with Stan. He wasn’t use to their things being mixed together. The brothers were still recovering from everything, they decided to take the year off before traveling the seas.
While his old study had turned into his own bedroom, Ford still found himself going into Stan’s bedroom without any care. He was after some old book he really wanted to read. Ford knows Stan didn’t throw away any of his things, so it must be in the house somewhere. That’s how he found himself face to face with a box filled with lingerie.
Deep in the bedroom’s closet was an unlabeled box, Ford grabbed it without any hesitation. The contents made him double take though. This certainly wasn’t Ford’s…. So why would Stan have a box of lingerie?
Hesitantly Ford picked up a pair of lacy blue panties and held them up. They were actually quite a big pair, bigger than most ladies would wear. Did Stan have an old lover? Who was this lady and why would Stan still have her lingerie? Why hasn’t Stan told him?
Before Ford’s thoughts could go any further Stan walked into the bedroom, “Sixer, what are you doing in my room again? I told ya’ I took all your stuff out of it!”
Ford started to panic, he quickly tried to shove the box back into its nondescript spot, but it was too late.
Stan stood right over Ford’s shoulder, looking down at the half closed box Ford was still trying to shove back in to the closet. “Ford why the hell are you looking through my clothes” He sounded embarrassed.
Ford suddenly stood up, startling Stan. “Ahem, well, uh, I apologize. I was looking for a book and thought it would be in my old bedroom. I didn’t mean to… uh…” he then processed exactly what Stan said, “wait, what do you mean your clothes?!”
Stan tried to step around Ford to push the closet door shut, “Look Ford I get it. A gross old guy like me wearing lingerie is weird. Just forgot about it and look for your book somewhere else.”
The two have been doing a strange song and dance lately. Both very much aware of their past sexual experiences together but still too shy to be the first to fully push. But whatever is happening now, is giving Ford a push.
Suddenly Ford grabbed Stan’s wrist, stopping him from closing the closet. Stan grumbled out something, asking Ford what he was doing, but Ford ignored him. He went back into the closet and pulled out the box.
“Ford put the box back” Stan demanded, too embarrassed to really try and do anything though.
Ford set the box down on the bed and sifted through the various types of lingerie till he found a pair of frilly red panties and matching thigh highs.
“Stanley, let me know if you don’t want to do this” Ford breathed out, a familiar tone of arousal in his voice. “Why don’t you be a good boy and show me how pretty you look in your lingerie?”
Stan’s breath stopped for a second, was this actually happening? “Wait you actually wanna?-“
Ford nodded, “Stanley, even as teenagers I always dreamed about how you would look wearing red panties… I don’t want to dance around this sexual tension any longer”.
Stan stopped hesitating, he went right to unbuttoning his suit jacket “fuck, let’s get started then.”
