Lorne Balfe's soundtrack is genuinely one of the things I will miss most if the show doesn't end up getting renewed. What Sharon has done for the costume design, Balfe has done for the soundtrack. I remember talking with someone early on in S1 how they were disappointed the soundtrack wasn't more orchestral, like LotR or GoT, and I was like I couldn't disagree more with that, lol. The blend of folk and modern instruments is perfect for the post-apocaplytic, fantasy-in-a-sci-fi, modern cultural mish-mash that is Wheel of Time. The representation of the Shadow as harsh industrial electronica and dubstep elements encroaching into this more melodic soundscape is also really ingenious storytelling through music. His blend of male and female voices reflects the gender themes. And, of course, I have to mention how absolutely wild it is that he has written all these in the Old Tongue, a conlang that doesn't even have that much functional use in the books as RJ himself was not a linguist like Tolkien. There's even more tidbits as you dig, such as the way he will remix themes to highlight character development, or weave two characters' themes together to explore their relationship. Or, for easter eggs for book fans, check out something like Mordero'Sheen where the lyrics repeat the Trolloc clans. I also want to point out the use of metre is really fun, such as the waltzing dance element of The Desert Warriors, or the fast and jumping 7/4 of Aviendha's theme (the listener is waiting for that 8th beat as would be typical of 4/4 music, but Aviendha is so quick she is already back to beat 1). It's really hard to pick a single favourite out of all the albums, I think the one I come back to the most though is Nynaeve al'Maera.

To finish the prompt, I think Turning of the Wheel by Joel Henley has been an absolute standout from WotIdol, although there are many many talented creators sharing their works.

And like most Mat fans, I'm still waiting for Jak o the Shadows

Interesting how the last 6 notes of the soundtrack of The Road to the Spear are Egwene's theme. It's slow, stripped down, melancholic. She's greeting Rand coming with the dawn but she's saying goodbye. He's not 'her Rand' anymore, 'who just also happens to be the dragon reborn'. He's now the dragon reborn who happens to be just a guy.
