Haha, I see the confusion. My definition of "now" is semi-flexible. Most are interpreting it as "anywhere after the events of OL: B&A" – which was my intention when developing the theme. I would not consider "now" to be during the game, no.

But! I would definitely accept a fic that perhaps takes place during the game in the beginning – with a second part that occurs post-game.

Quick Q about the contest's theme, would for example a year after the end of OL:BA be ok?

Interesting question! I suppose the "now" in “Where are your MC and Cove now?” hasn't been defined, but I would consider it to be present day. So, that would look like at least a few years after the game launch date.

Hi there! Nope, Cove doesn't need a leading role, but one of the judging criteria is how well the submission fits the theme (Where are your MC and Cove now?) – so keep that in mind. And yes! On Docs, go to: 1. File 2. Download 3. As PDF And voilà!

January Mid-Month Update ✨

Hi all! It's Claire here with a new kind of post – a mid-month announcement of how work is going for GB. These small posts are meant to combine the typical daily updates into one summary, without a focus on word count. Here we go!

So far this month, GB has been diligently working on Step 2 Moments. The third Step 2 Moment ("Assistance") is about halfway wrapped up and the fourth Step 2 Moment ("Homecoming") has been drafted. Programming progress has mainly focused on bug fixes.

Something super exciting – Shawna has begun programming this month's Patreon beta! No images or audio have been added yet, but the process is well underway.

We also announced the GB Patch Winter 2025 Contest! This is the first in hopefully a series of contests, and we're super excited to see what y'all come up with.

Let's hear it for our champion! 🗣️ Hard at work as always. 💕
