The unequivocally funniest thing season 3 did was bring in Hilda's dad and then just. Not answer any follow-up questions. Where's he been? Idk, off somewhere. Is he deadbeat? Not really? He clearly cares about Hilda a lot and moved to Trolburg to be closer to her, but it's also implied he ran off from being overwhelmed when she was little. Does Hilda know him? Apparently. What's his deal with Johanna? Good fucking luck figuring it out.

was rewatching the pilot again yesterday for fic reasons and thinking again about the sherlock-style screen annotations they had when barry was doing CSI work that they literally only did in the first ep and then never revisited again, presumably because they realized it'd be far too much effort to work out the details on such a precise level

and thinking about like. that barry allen with the hyper-precise exact measurements that he did by eye (with joe shaking his head in awe so you know that he's a CSI supergenius) vs. the leonard snart who timed his heists to the exact nanosecond (which again, presuming they ditched because it's a logistical nightmare to write dialogue that nitpicky and obsessive, and would be such a fucking pain to do on a week-to-week basis). like. yet another reason they are soulmates tbh. is audhd4autistic a thing the same way t4t is a thing? if it isn't then i'm making it a thing

short niki x reader thought dumpp

now i don’t normally like idol aus but i cant stop thinking about this. 

imagine doing a solo livestream in the one of the company’s dance rooms. and niki just so happens to be wrapping up practice when he sees the notification on his phone that you’re live! curious, he clicks on it as the rest of the boys file out of the studio and he recognizes that you’re just a few rooms over from where he is.… hmmm convenient..

he patiently waits for the boys to fully leave, claiming he needs to get extra practice for their upcoming cb and then makes his way over to where you are when he knows they’re gone. he sees you sitting on the studio’s floor just talking to the chat so he pokes his head in, where the viewers can't see him. 

his abrupt entrance makes you jump, not expecting anyone to have been in the studio this late. when you whip your head around to see niki standing by the door awkwardly, you laugh, embarrassed that he had just scared you. 

you signal to him that you are live and he mouths a ‘sorry!’ as if he didn’t know. (he glances at his phone briefly to make sure his screen wasn’t showing your current live stream he was watching)

voice slightly above a whisper, he makes up some lie about checking if he left his water bottle in the room. he childishly prays he has a fan in your chat that can recognize his voice and maybe clip this moment.

you look around the room and tell him you haven’t seen it and he quickly thanks you and excuses himself. shaking your head when he’s gone, you read the comments questioning the intruder- in which you’re quick to explain how it was just a staff member! you’re trying your best to avoid unnecessary rumors (niki is not!)

you carry on with your live after that and niki heads home for the night. as he’s going to bed, he scrolls through the social media searches to see fans have already picked out his voice and started getting carried away with their theories.

‘they have to be dating since yn lied when they said it was a staff member at the door!’ he bookmarks a few posts.

a little bit after, he receives a text from the boys with a screenshot of one of the tweets. 

“you needed to ‘get extra practice’ hmm?” -jake

instead of responding to their teasing, he opts to open up your new message apologizing for what is happening. he assures you that everythings fine and he doesn’t mind at all and it leaves you awake that night.

he doesn’t mind at all? whats that supposed to mean?? you wonder if he’s just as giddy as you about these rumors.

Awww, thank you, dear Anon (I’m really pleased with how it came out, so the compliment is much appreciated by me <3 <3)!

This past year has definitely been… an interesting one to say the least, haha, but the amount of white hairs I started my break with has significantly decreased since; I’m definitely not missing any of the deadlines and studying and all that other jazz that comes with uni life, haha 😮‍💨

My break year was definitely much needed, though, I do think I’ll ultimately be prolonging it—at least a little bit. Been ruminating very much on it, and the conclusion I’ve come to is that I currently feel more and more of an inclination to pursue something creative primarily rather than taking on the structure and pain that comes with academics for a more stable career—for the moment, at least. I ultimately want to try and get a first draft of a manuscript finished first at least and see how I feel about it. 

I can still go back to school if I decide this path’s not ultimately right, though I’m not sure if, when/if I do, it will still be veterinary/medicine-focused. We shall see, we shall see…

oough that question just made my head go blank lmao, but um the most recent ones that come to mind are Daredevil for the show (I know it's not new but I've been getting back into watching it and ooough the angst I forgot how good it was), for the movie oh my god it's Moulin Rouge I know it's not new (older then I am) BUT IT'S ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAV MOVIES IT HURT SO GOOD I CANT, and for the book uhhh Black Panther: the young prince by Ronald L. Smith! def a more kiddy book but T'Challa has always been my fav marvel hero so I just had to have the book when I saw it in store and I'm almost done with it actually!!

my most recent fav treat for me has been a box of earl grey tea! my friend @to-be-frank-i-dont-care said I should try it and ugh it's so good lol so I've had it pretty regularly actually
