at the end of the day when it comes to padmé i think it’s really important to remember that her closest friends are literally her employees. her only other friends are her coworkers. her closest friend for years was a girl she met at 14 whose job it was to pretend to be her and potentially die about it. another friend with the same job died in her arms while pretending to be her. she does not have friends outside of her squad of employees who pretend to be her and sometimes die about it and then her politician coworkers. too many of you are way too surprised that this woman is not normal about love or relationships or her own self considering all this

the thing about bad buddy is that calling it enemies to lovers is not entirely wrong and is a very succinct and easy way to indicate the general plot, but also one of the only moments that the two main characters are actually personally in conflict with each other lasts about four minutes and is expressed mainly through upset shirtless xylophone playing contrasted with a montage of happy moments that features a time there was triumphant shirt-wearing xylophone playing. and then they both say sorry at literally the exact same time

Cody: These damn shinies need to learn how to take a hit, back in my day we just walked off the broken ribs.
Helix: Yes, and both you and the general got stuck in a bacta tank for three days for it.
Cody: But we could handle it! Keep goin unless nerve damage stops you. Unfortunately you can’t just walk off nerve damage.
Helix: I would congratulate you on understanding that but you sound like you’re speaking from experience.
Wooley: *stubs a single toe* Ouch!
Cody: *momma bear mode activated* Are you okay?? Do I need to bandage that for you? Does the ouchie need a healing kiss?
Helix: Huh. Shinies can’t walk off the hits now days, I think I know why.
Cody: *tenderly checking on Wooley’s foot, and giving him a kiss on the forehead* Is it okay?
Wooley: *tearfully* I feel a little better.

Honestly the funniest thing about TDP to me is that Rayla for some reason always thinks Callum isn't 100% ride-or-die with her on any given situation. Seriously, she could decide she's jumping off a cliff and he'd do it too--oh wait.
I get that half of it is 'protecting' him but like. Girl he has been ready to die and kill for you since the first snake chain incident. It has not lightened up since. In fact its gotten worse. She's his special little guy and if anything happens to her he will kill everyone in the room and then himself. She physically cannot ever sacrifice herself for anyone because Callum WILL be following her straight into the afterlife in no less than a minute. I'm fully convinced he can and would go even further than Claudia and he'd barely have to think on it for five seconds before shrugging like "damn this sucks, can't believe I have to turn evil" "you literally don't have to--" "no I'm gonna"
And honestly I think that's peak teenagers first girlfriend behavior.
