a core aspect of SeaHeart and the Manager (great band name btw) is that the Manager would choose Alexandria over Amelia easily. but Alexandria will always choose Amelia over the Manager.
and I think that’s pretty clearly what happened in the sunless!timeline. yes, I do believe the Manager can still contact Alexandria through mirrors and could probably even visit if he wanted. but Alexandria leaving the neath, and his life there including the Manager, permanently, sends a very clear message. I don’t think it was an easy choice, but it was made, and there is no going back.
because Alexandria is a traveler before he is anything else.
