another thing about the flower book. and remember i got this thing literally fifteen minutes before leaving for work i did not actually go through it page by page i just kinda skimmed and didn’t read any of the descriptions. and of course i called out that typo because i’m annoying and literally how do you mess up something so simple cassie… they’re twins getting their birth years right is one of the all time easy things…. anyway i digress. something i noticed that i need to talk about is the updated flower cards vs the old ones for a few characters. as we know kit dru ty and ash as characters who appear in tda AND are the future leads of twp, they all had original cards from 2016 and then got new ones a few years ago. as we also know the carstairs siblings were also updated from the original versions obviously because the ogs were made before the books were written and stuff changes etc. some people thought cassie was whitewashing them with the old cards being super light skinned but i honestly just think she changed her mind about what they looked like and then the art was already made and already old and she didn’t really think to change them because she’d never done updated ones before. and then she did updated ones for twp and i guess realized she should change cordelia and alastair too. like i don’t think she was being problematic guys let’s be chill. ok but NOT what i wanted to talk about. anyway. so i figured the carstairs siblings would just be their new ones and we’d just pretend the old ones never existed. but i did initially think that for the OTHER updated ones she’d have included both the old and new ones right? because both versions are different and are reflecting the characters at different periods of their stories right. so what’s crazy is that’s not what she did those four characters only have one page for each of them not two pages for both versions. and sure maybe she just wanted it to be fair but like girl you released two cards for these guys… it’s not unfair it’s necessary for the story…. anyway so now you all know only one version was used for each of those four characters and you might be assuming she used the updated ones for everyone right? WRONG. what’s really BONKERS about this is that she used the updated ones for kit, dru, and ash. and none for tiberius blackthorn… she used his old one and everyone else’s new one that’s crazy right. like that’s objectively a weird choice. i just want to know what the thought process was here. and why didn’t she include both. look at these ok

they’re literally different in important ways and she just axed half of them…. hello. and what’s her beef with ty’s new one. what suddenly we don’t fuck with irene the lynx…. suddenly my girl doesn’t get her purple tulips associated with her in an official capacity…. like was ty’s kept the same just so he’d match livvy instead of matching dru and kit. if so. bonkers. if not. then what’s her beef with my boy…..
