i wanna post my yaps abt how the stickler-empire alliance is upheld by hopperclock and dualities friendships alone simply bc the empire only recognizes the sticklers as allies bc of minute and mapiccs individual alliances w jumper and ro—

the only reason tangle isn’t a bigger menace and threat than she is, is because she doesn’t want to hurt people.

she’ll bash up badniks and robots and stuff no problem, and doesn’t mind sparring! but anything that could go towards actually hurting a real person? no way.

she definitely has the ability to do a lot of damage, but that’s not something she has an inclination to do.

she lived through the Forces war - but she stayed in her hometown, where she knew she could trust and rely on every neighbor around her, and didn’t have to deal with unknown agents and treachery. she may have faced death - but she wouldn’t have had to face killing, at least not someone who was a threat.

as opposed to whisper, who signed up specifically to help take down and kill eggman, tangle’s here to help people - and to her, that doesn’t include killing. she cares about whisper so much, and that’s part of why she doesn’t want whisper to have to kill mimic - tangle sees killing as the most wrong awful horrifying thing someone can do, and if SHE killed anyone, she would agonize over and regret it forever. she assumes whisper is the same - and doesn’t want that for whisper in addition to whisper’s own grief. doing her best for whisper in her own way, from her own experience - you might judge that a bad choice, or bad encouragement, but it comes from a good place. if mimic were already dying, or it came between mimic and whisper, i’m certain tangle would pick whisper, and let mimic die. but doing it *herself*, personally, is the line.

can i be fr for a minute?? sending abuse to people online for holding different views than you is not activism and in fact actively hurts your cause. most people are not extreme in their viewpoints, you can give them a new perspective if you're willing to spend some time explaining shit. if someone is saying something you disagree with and you rush in there to condescend to them and call them disgusting and subhuman and dont even TRY to explain calmly why their views are harmful, they're going to shut you out instantly and double down on their views.

most people are simply genuinely ignorant to the issues they're talking about - they just pick their views up from the news and the world around them and express opinions because that's what every person does. if you run in there and tell them they're scum for it, what then? if someone does that to you, are you going to think "maybe i should do some research" or are you going to think "this person is an asshole, im blocking them." a lot of you think you're activists and then refuse to do any kind of actual WORK to support your cause.

To sum it up, whenever Bro makes a new smuppet design, he then gives it a video debut on his website, where uh, Lil Cal births the smuppet like it's a horror movie scene, fake blood and poly-fil gore all over the place as the smuppet crawls out from the viscera. Bro then gets to play aftercare by lovingly and gently cleaning up and restuffing Lil Cal as they get to admire their new creation and rake in the dough lol.

So it's technically not a 'you should see the other guy' kinda situation, but it does involve one of them being... idk what word would describe it. Injured by the other? Usually a character loses a fight and says this to act like they got out of it better than the other guy, but... We could have someone knock on the door during the filming of a scene like that, and Bro has to answer it with fake blood up to his elbows, and be like 'You should see the other guy.' (But obviously, that's a terrible idea and would cause more trouble than it's worth... Maybe worth it for a persistent door to door salesperson, though.)

Though, I guess I should also say, I'm not opposed to Bro beating on Lil Cal in or out of the bedroom. Or in the case of animate Lil Cal, Cal choking out Bro. In or out of the bedroom, lol. Depends on the situation, like I said I will ship this ship any which way. But my preference for animate Lil Cal is to be like a totally normal puppet around Bro (or mushy in-love with Bro) and then evil-murder-puppet towards anyone else in Bro's life, like a... toxic yaoi guard puppet. One could place emphasis on the 'guard' part of the, ahem ahem, toxic yaoi guard puppet. story idea im never going to write (horror?)

every safety rule and regulation is written in someones blood.

its set not too far into the future nor too deep in the past, somewhere in the middle, somewhere familiar. the worlds nations have unanimously agreed to centralise global databases and archives & universalise regulations and law criteria to ensure better and more sustainable livlihoods for its citizens after what was recorded as humanities most disasterous decade.

it was to be a fresh start, a new page for the greater good of our kind, they all smiled and agreed. no one can know of the corners that were cut that lead to catastrophes far and wide. opposition was shut down and a false sense of peace befell all. save face. save lives. move on.

plenty of career paths could lead you to becoming an employee of the great archives. it has been dubbed as the worlds second library of alexandria, housing the entirety of human knowledge in every field imaginable. it was a grounding and deeply humbling occupation and a very honourable and much sought after position. yet it wasnt a job many could handle.

new intern at the archives, fresh out of university having placed the highest in the admission exam, applies for the hazard control unit of the workplace safety division. story starts off with them being shown around by one of the elder 'safekeepers', a dean if you will, who supervises several departments according to industry & occupation.

over the course of the story said intern files throught what feels like millions of documents and protocols and union meeting minutes and more, all as part of their accreditation & quality assurance job.

the lore isnt too clear but in essence the read every horrific incident in the history of human kind and truly understand the extent of written in blood.

ofc our intern here is starting to have mixed feelings about it all. on the one hand they had no idea so much of the work would require handling and closely examining content this graphic, but at the same time they cant shake of the silly baseless feeling that theres something really sinister at play. how can they not when time and time again theyve seen how meagerly companies and governments handled tragedies in the workplace, bending all sorts of rules and finding more loopholes than fitting fineprint on their contracts.

unfortunately these discoveries are the culmination of over two years of grueling hard work, uncovering the darkest most damning secrets of industries new and old. and its high time for a well earned promotion. theres no turning back from here

long story short bc my brain is peacing out already, the "its all written in blood" is more literal than you would think. turns out that many tragedies are secretly staged to maintain the status quo of the higher ups, and in the advent of a law suit that actually works in you favour compensations paid are undisclosed and more often than not return to the offending parties. anyone who disagrees or dares to oppose is wiped off the census (this is where the universal archives really comes into play; sure every nation has its own heavily controlled copy of the world archive, but some things stay in the capital ig)

the safekeeper from before is a seasoned assassin essentially, they make sure everyone follows the rules and eliminates anyone who toes out of line (every department/ unit has their head hitman lol). the intern had managed to keep their head down for so long bc they were secretly compiling copies of evidence and was too busy questioning their life choices and ethics theyd stuck around for long enough to get promoted, which gave them access to their inner circles which opened another somehow worse door(s) of hell.

tl;dr intern at universal archives starts investigating serial offences across many fields and lines of work and learns the ugly truth about just how dispensible big corporations they think people are.

after the shock wears off and intern gets promoted the more sinister side of things are revealed and it turns out that osha is the source of all evil and wont just wait for accidents to happen; they will actively set them up and write their laws using the blood of the innocent to enforce restrictions and slowly seize control over every industry ever. also thanks to astronomical pr budgets the general public is none the wiser :)

and our not-intern is horrified beyond comprehension with this knowledge and has 3 crises about it at once lol.

My wording is gonna be really messy here because I am Not Good At Wording Things but bear with me: being on the asexuality spectrum is like... eating food, if food were sex, and sexual attraction is like being hungry. Someone who is sex repulsed will say "I never get hungry, I hate food, I will not touch it because I feel grossed out by it", someone sex neutral will say "I don't get hungry at all, but I can eat food if I feel like it, and not mind it at all" and someone sex positive will say "I don't get hungry, but I rather enjoy eating food, and I'll go out of my way to eat it even if I don't necessarily crave it."

I fall in the sex neutral category... I wanna say I'm also sometimes sex repulsed, but repulsed isn't the right word for me - I think I'm just rarely in the right mindset to "do the work" because I'm on such low energy 24/7. In regards to the analogy I used to think "I'm never hungry, but I'll eat food sometimes!" but nowadays I'm more like "I'm never hungry and I still don't exactly mind food, but damn I really just don't feel like eating... almost ever"

And hey, you bring up a good point there - I don't get turned on or aroused by real ppl, so honestly what is the point of me having sex? & given i was actually somewhat committed to pulling her anyway (well. initially as kafka replacement to pull my first lightning carry after losing 50-50 but. Well. she had mercy on me at the v last moment thank goodness 😭😭) so actually ending up liking her character this much just cemented that resolve for good too. cant wait for her!!! like i am still meh on her base design not bc its that bad by itself but simply bc seeles existence just cheapens it so much like. Why are they so similar. but its not bad lmao

anyway to her actual characterization. first of all. the VAs delivery omg yall beidous english voice is already one of my all time favorites in genshin and shes doing an amazing job as acheron like. she started talking and im just INSTANTLY warmed up to her just from that KDJSKDKJK i love love love her attitude and energy!!!!!

n personality wise too??? like ive seen others mention a similar sentiment but its just the way how. even after getting the warnings from now Two separate characters that shes up to no good. im just like. "nah id win" abt it SHSKDKSI like throughout the story she comes off as so damn likeable and grounded and realistically friendly (as in not like. too open n aligned w the player from the get-go to feel believable for the character as opposed to a plot contrivance) that i just. even if shes bad news im team acheron truly.

she has genuinely funny one liners too ??? like not necessarily jokes outright but the kinda comments she says are just . very realistic in that dry witty way that comes off as natural and entertaining shes so charming!!! i love her. the more contemplative stuff she says too

but also like. girl whats up w the ominous red text ily but are we cool 😭😭 and the whole shredding us into thin slices on first encounter in the dreamscape like. Ok uhhhhhhhh ik i said nah id win and team acheron forever but this is kinda. worrisome

BUT that just means im so fucking excited to see her go apeshit too lmao like. oh shes an emanator here to do murder and spread death? COOL i hope she has fun!!

overall Definitely wasnt expecting acheron to establish herself as such an instant favorite for sure but. shes here now and im v happy abt it im super looking forward to seeing those more dubious goals of her come to the forefront in the future like. im so curious about whats up w her and her memory and that red text and everything

i think the moment i fully accepted that IW's story was. Definitely A Story was the moment ebina announced 'bleach japan'. like i think leading up to that point i was thinking to myself 'oh i hope i see X happen' or being like 'i wonder where this is going' and that sort but the proverbial bucket of ice was definitely that moment
