#persona 3#persona 3 spoilers#aigis#minato arisato#makoto yuki#nyx avatar#lizzy does art#a belated january 31st from me to you! i technically started this at the start of january but got a lil sidetracked teehee! but its done no#i am forever enamored with the fight with nyx avatar- not only is she gorgeous but the boss fight's design really sells the themes of p3 im#i still love how much the major arcana are intertwined with p3's story- from the full moon operations and the final fight#and the lengthiness of the fight. i personally don't consider it tedious bc i came Very Prepared (its the love for grinding in tartarus!)-#but i think that the length has always been a testament to the indomitable force that nyx and nyx avatar are- something that should be-#impossible to go against! yet sees continues to show their perseverance in the endeavor because that's the choice they ultimately made.#i hope to get the chance to draw nyx avatar again sometime! she is absolutely lovely to draw. i had a lot of fun working on this :D#and i also hope everyone has been enjoying the remake <3 i've been enjoying it a lot but i won't be elaborating here. take care!

My brother in law let me borrow Sonic Frontiers [also read: asked me if I had access to a PS5 and when I said yes, handed it to me and said "play this"] and now my two biggest gaming nightmares are merged into one! [Fast paced gaming mechanics and open world map structures]
Anyway, I've been playing for 8 hours.
#spazzcat barks#i also bought sonic x shadow origins#because im... well... going insane i think#i am having so much fun with the edgy hedgehogs#unrelated but i think my favorite version of knuckles is sonic frontiers knuckles#man is both really curious about whats going on and still shoving himself in to protect sonic despite being basically a ghost#we stan a king#knuckles and shadow are currently battling as my fav characters#also? really like sonic as a character?#the idea of a hero who is reckless and who cant say no to a fight no matter how bad an idea it might be#but who still manages to be a paragon of optimism despite the pitfalls of his personality#cool concept#it reminds me of something? a 90s anime protagonist maybe?#i keep thinking Luffy but i watched like... 20 episodes of One Piece so i think thats wrong#maybe Edward Elric if he werent so jaded#oh! to whom it may concern: i promise im still enjoying Hermitcraft and working on RnS#this does not mark a major shift in fandoms lol#ive just hit a... we'll call it a mental play period#im having fun with a new thing -- especially after the old thing was becoming tedious#[having a hard time writing no time for drawing etc]#end of rhe year rut#this is passing it nicely though

Interesting. Don’t necessarily think I’m autistic but I have more going on than just ADHD and I’m not sure what that is.
#I’m not even sure if the ADHD is actually ADHD either or if it’s just technology addiction#Gonna get a REAL neuropsych evaluation at some point out of sheer curiosity as to what the fuck is wrong with me#I relate to a lot of autistic things and I relate to a lot of ADHD things; but I don’t entirely relate to the majority of either population#and I don’t relate to people with both enough to think I have both#I’ve begun treating myself as if I am autistic just for Kicks and using things that help them and it’s helping in some ways#but I know it’s probably not autism because even though I struggle socially; it’s not because of the same reasons#I understand social cues; I was only accidentally perceived as rude as a kid (and most kids are kind of blunt)#(Mostly a moderate amount of “Stop correcting me! It’s disrespectful!” from my parents)#And nowadays because of how much psychology and acting I study; I can perceive shrimp social cues#And I’m purposefully doing all the right things but it still feels like I fail social interactions because of my lack of assertiveness#which I KNOW come from being raised in a cult#so perhaps my odd social behavior is from CPTSD from being raised in a puritan doomsday cult as an only child#Because I was NOT introverted or sensitive to others as a child#I did not have routines as a child and the ones I did have were for fun and did not distress me if I strayed from them#But now I need structure as an adult because I don’t know what else to do with myself if I have nowhere to be#But at the same time everyone feels worse when they have no routine or expectations#And is it actually inattentive ADHD or severe derealization and an itch to do as many things as possible#because I spent my childhood being raised in a boring doomsday cult by disabled older parents who couldn’t physically do much?#(And I don’t fault my parents for being disabled but I do fault them for the whole doomsday cult thing)#So I spent my whole childhood doing mentally tedious things when really I’m more wired for physically spontaneous things#Because I was not allowed to walk around the neighborhood alone until I was sixteen#And I couldn’t hang out with friends I wanted to hang out with because they were bad association#So of course I got really good at drawing even though I don’t even like drawing that much#Of course I got really good at writing even though I don’t like writing that much#Now that I don’t need to escape from anything I find I actually hate drawing and writing because it’s such a chore#they make my heart rate accelerate in a way I don’t like to feel#(I hate writing less than drawing)

there is no real meaningful distinction between Art and Craft, however i personally can only do the type of Art that is also extremely Craft. i need to make physical things with my hands and use tools and manipulate little objects and hoard all the specialized knives. otherwise i will start biting.
#this is not remotely a value judgment;#digital art is SO cool and i really admire people who can do it#but whenever i try it is like. viscerally uncomfortable for me.#i feel unmoored#i need Things#the more physical the process the better#so the papercraft is Extremely good enrichment for scribes#drawing with physical media is kind of fun#painting and calligraphy are better#but things that involve construction or assembly are where it's REALLY at#especially if it's somewhat modular or repetitive#printmaking. papercraft. hand-sewing. book arts.#just give me your most fiddly and tedious craft projects#i miss typesetting. typesetting was lit.#thinking about this obviously because i had the most wonderful time gluing all those tiny paper fragments down#this is probably the neurodivergency.

i've gotten so good at these portrait sprite edits that i'm tempted to see if ppl would be interested in me opening commissions for them, do ppls human loops or au designs etc... but it would be weird to take coms that are specifically copying another artist's style. but ppl used to do like dragon age tarot card style coms or homestuck talksprites all the time, ive done alphonse mucha style myself. but it's different when it's someone famous or a game w a whole team of artists vs one lil indie dev. but it's not like i'm drawing whatever in id5 style, i would specifically be doing only the exact type of portraits from the game, for ppl who are already fans of her work, so it's not like that could end up with me taking business away from them in any way. idk i feel like it's a grey area :/

got Mihile to lvl 200! my first MS character to ever get there, actually. I used to only play back when 100 was the cap, so this is a strange new world, but I'm really enjoying it so far. they made leveling a lot faster and more intense (which did make me a little sad bc I do miss fighting for my life just to get to level 10 and traveling super far by foot to reach Lith Harbor) but increasing the cap and expanding a lot of the old game let me see places in the Maple World I never got to previously. Ofc it's not the social hub it used to be and it never will-- but it's thriving pretty well and not so bad for solo players now.
#maplestory#ooc#the progression is. actually really fun despite the leveling bloat#like sure it does use cheap tactics to draw out gameplay like weeklies and low drop rates#but i actually kind of look forward to those#and it feels rewarding to finally upgrade something you worked your ass off to obtain#a lot of mmos don't really let you do that now either by being too easy or too tedious#and they make it kind of fun. by making every upgrade like a little minigame#i also really love their seasonal events so i specifically came back for that
