To be fair, he shot at her first, so Omega’s forced to snipe him a few hours later.

A reminder that Spinner canonically compares himself to Dabi and feels inferior to the rest of the League of Villains.
Part of the reason he allowed AFO to manipulate him is because he wanted to be reliable, as in he wanted to be stronger to be of use to Tomura. So again, he's canonically kinda jealous not only of Dabi's quirk, but of him as a person.

"Rayla brushed off Callum’s fear of possession again"
He came running into her in the middle of the night and woke her up. She was fully asleep and clearly disoriented.
We see Callum having nightmares and trouble sleeping throughout the season, something Rayla seems to be aware of.
It was reasonable for her to assume he just had a nightmare and to try and reassure him.
Callum then insists, no, it was real.
And she accepts that. She offers him support and let's him run off with her blankie.
Not really sure what more she could possibly do in that situation.

I go with the hc that Anakin can read when he comes to the Temple, he's just not good at it, so Anakin's teachers advise Obi-Wan to read to him.
It is a very painful ordeal if you were to witness it.
Anakin hates the idea because it's for babies and HE IS NOT A BABY [insert tantrum and destruction of property]. Obi-Wan always assures him that it is a standard teaching method that every Padawan goes through. Privately, he absolutely agrees that this is a baby activity and NOT in his job description, however, he will also NOT make Anakin feel bad for his shortcomings. Therefore he marches through the youngling section and picks up books with space explorers, pilots and engineers and puts his whole heart into making this into as awkward experience as it can be.
The clowns they are, they both secretly find a degree of enjoyment in their time because Oh Anakin looks kind of sweet, just drawing and listening and Oh Master Obi-Wan has kind of a good, calming story telling voice.
They treat it as a government secret for years to come.

deeply refreshing to see someone critical of Swift who also like, genuinely likes her. Like i'm neutral to positive on her, but the online discourse has been absolutely rancid. flipping between "Taylor Swift has never done anything wrong ever and she's a fucking genius" and "Taylor Swift is the worst lyricist of all time and also a bad person" is exhausting, so thank you for like. nuance or something lmao
not to make it serious for a sec but i genuinely think that being able to like things that are bad is really important. like I think that it's an important skill to be able to look at something and see what you personally enjoy about it and then take a step back and acknowledge that objectively it's flawed. and to also be able to acknowledge that liking something isn't necessarily an identity or a moral stance. and i think that fandom space in general could really benefit from more people taking the time to learn how to do that. it's okay to like things that are bad

My only two cents about the King Charles portrait.....one of the most distinguishing traits of the Monarch butterfly is that they're toxic and that other animals learn to avoid them. The artist absolutely knew what he was doing.

I am just gonna rip the band-aid off.
At some point in your life, you will unwittingly do one or more of the following:
Trigger someone
Fall in love with a piece of art/music/writing/etc. created by someone who has done (or will do) something you find morally reprehensible
Make a decision that really screws over someone you care about
Befriend someone who hurts others
Believe and/or spread misinformation
Espouse the "wrong side" in a relatively major piece of discourse
Defend an abusive person
There is this hyper-purity mentality that, if you are good and aware enough, you can avoid stepping in these shit piles. There's a mentality that it is your duty to avoid stepping in these shit piles. But the truth is, we fuck up. We are human and fallible. The truth is, bad people are extremely clever at hiding their badness. The truth is, the only way to never fuck up is to simply not engage in life.
Inadvertently doing any of these things does not define your morality. What defines your morality is what you do next, how you bounce back, how you improve yourself, what you learn.
You will be a better, kinder, more empathetic, more intelligent person if you first accept that you will mess up, and that you are ready to do the clean-up and self-reflection afterwards when you inevitably do. To not afford yourself that grace is to doom yourself to a terrifying and joyless life where every interaction will make or break you as a human.

imagine you were mauled by a bear.
you were mauled and it was awful. it left scars on you that may never fully and completely heal. maybe it nearly killed you. bears are now a trigger for you. full on panic at the sight of a bear.
now imagine some people in your town enjoy dressing up as bears. they put on homemade costumes for fun and occasionally meet up. most people are just there to play dress-up with other folks who enjoy wearing bear costumes, but maybe a few of them also play pretend with each other. nobody gets hurt-- they aren't real bears, and they wouldn't want to be! it's just fun to play pretend.
but you were mauled by a bear, and one day you're out walking, and you see some of these people on the other side of the road, and you freak out. most of the costumes aren't even very realistic, but you start screaming at them anyway, throwing rocks, grabbing other people and pointing, trying to get them to throw rocks too, because what the fuck? what the hell? what kind of sick freak pretends to be a bear? don't they know bears are dangerous? and what if there's a real bear in one of those costumes! or what if they're dressing up as bears because they want to maul people! throw rocks! harass! throwing rocks at people in bear costumes is good and righteous! you were mauled by an actual real bear and this is all definitely a reaction to an actual real threat and not at all a trauma response!
meanwhile, the people who enjoy dressing up as bears are trying to explain it's just for fun. they just enjoy playing dress-up. even those who do enjoy pretending, are only pretending. it's just acting. and look-- Ted over there was mauled, too! he likes dressing up as a bear because it gives him a situation he controls. but nobody is trying to actually be bears. that would be fucking deranged.
but it doesn't matter. you were mauled by a bear, and people in bear costumes feel the same to you as bears. it doesn't matter why they dress up, they OBVIOUSLY deserve to be attacked like bears. and anyone who disagrees with you must also be a bear, because omg don't they understand bears are dangerous and people in bear costumes are basically the same as bears!!!
if you react to works of fiction the same way you react to harm done to a real live human being, you are failing to recognize that human beings are separate from works of fiction. whether you're experiencing a trauma response and can't make the distinction, or you were told this was the best way to support people who are traumatized, i don't know, but the result is the same. you need to understand that people are not the stories they enjoy. stop throwing rocks at people in costumes.

Also another thing that's kinda weird is with the cutscene showing the feds going through the islander's homes, the order they appear in is:
Badboyhalo's base
Tubbo's factory
AyPierre's mansion
Tubbo's factory again?
Baghera's castle
Chume Labs
Badboyhalo's base again?
Idk if there's anything significant about the locations visited or how Bad and Tubbo were the only people with multiple clips showing the feds in their bases, but I feel like it's worth noting incase something comes up later

losing my mind trying to figure out what the different colored backgrounds mean for the fhjy characters. Absolutely cannot find a common thread so far. It's not villains/non-villains bc gorthalax and ruben are both red?? maybe the more major characters are certain colours? maybe it means absolutely nothing at all and I'm steadily going insane over nothing??
