This really is true. I honestly don't really know most of my neighbors names, let alone actually talk with them. I only really know one of them because we graduated together and she was always super nice to me. But I see the part about not wanting to bother the few friends I have with their busy lives and feeling like I'm just not interesting enough for people to want to spend more than a few hours around. I have bad self esteem issues. It's something I keep saying I mean to work on then I don't. I thank God for the friends who do still like to do things with me, even if our jobs make it more difficult to set up time. I hope my niece and nephews can be less like me in those respects. I have high hopes for them though. They're real chatterboxes and love people.
