Was having a conversation with my siblings the other day about alternate themes for Batman and my brother (not a DC fan in particular) piped up that he shouldn’t have a theme, he should just be called The Man. Instead of a Batmobile it would just be The Mobile. Instead of Batarangs he has Arangs. The Batcave is just a Cave. So now I got the image of just normal Bruce Wayne, hair styled, shirt pressed, beating the shit out of people in my head. He heads to WE board meetings at day and crime-steeped alleyways at night wearing the same suit and tie. Everyone knows it’s him they just don’t really know what to do about it. Gotham’s rogues are about 50% less crazy bc it’s fucking embarrassing to dress up in a costume only to have beef with some random corporate executive
