I know the main reason for Kate and Anthony suddenly deciding to travel to India right before Francesca's wedding is because it provides the show with an excuse as to why they aren't around for the last eps because they couldn't get the actors (or didn't want to have to pay them to just be side characters after having been the leads last series) but I honestly think the writers also just didn't want to have to deal with Anthony Bridgerton absolutely losing his shit when he found out Colin had (knowingly) married Lady Whistledown after everything Penelope wrote about the Bridgerton's and Sharma's. He might have chilled out to a ridiculous degree now that he's busy being a simp for his wife but I swear that would not stop the rage from returning in an instant upon that revelation.

Writing Tools for Planning Your Story

I've tried tons of writing apps and sites, so you don't have to. Here's a list of free sites to plot out your novel, with my review and some images of how I use it.

Milanote

Milanote is like having a giant pinboard with folders. You can upload anything onto it [yes even your main doc] and then draw over it or connect things with lines and arrows

Milanote lets you add up to a hundred things for free, not including drawing. This is one of the downsides of the site as I've found myself reaching that limit recently.

For me, the best part is being able to draw over stuff, and the color swatches.

Milanote is a lot less structured than other sites I've used, and personally, I don't think their templates are worth using.

8/10 overall, Milanote is what I mainly use. Here are some pics of how I use it:

Miro

Miro is a flowchart website mainly used for corporate jobs, however, it can be a great plotting tool for that reason

Miro has a lot of great starter templates if you are looking for a more structured freeform experience. It also comes with a blank page as well.

Unfortunately, I'd argue that it's a bit of a hard tool for beginners to use without a template, I've learned copy-paste is my best friend with Miro the hard way.

It's much better than most platforms at making timelines though.

It has a limit of three boards which is a bit disappointing but overall, I think it's worth the try.

5/10 Miro is very middle of the road for me due to the limited ability to customize things and the free limit. Here are some pics:

This might be someone's jam, I can't really say it's mine though.

First off, the unpaid version is really just a few boxes saying "Write a summary here." which makes it just not worth it in my opinion

There really isn't any way to customise things which is my favorite part of most of these softwares

World Anvil

People like this software, it's mainly used for tabletop, which is just a different way of writing adventure, and I've seen it recommended by authors.

Unfortunately, I'm going to disagree with a lot of people and say it's hard to use and isn't even really good at plotting.

I may be biased on this one as every time I've tried to use it in the past I've struggled. However, it seems like another just write it in a document and create a folder.

I'd say it's closer to an organizing tool, but even then just use something else.

3/10, I have nothing to say about it but maybe you'll enjoy it, all here are two photos

Campfire

This is the one I think I've heard the most about, but have never actually tried.

right off the bat, I'm going to say this is 100% worth it, you'll see at the end with the photos but this is like if Miro and World Anvil had an organization baby.

It's extremely easy to understand, and it makes timelines, it's more for writing your whole book but idk about that yet.

7/10, its themes are really pretty but it limits how much you can do to 20 I believe. Here are the photos

That's all for now, honestly, I think you should use Miro if you are looking to plot things out, and Milanote if you want to collect and organize your thoughts for writing, as that's what I do. Obviously what I like won't be for everyone, but hopefully, this helped you see some options

i'm thinking of this one au where it's not really a neglected batfam fic but it's within the timeline of again &. again. a darker fic, where instead of being taken in by the family, you were left to fend for yourself after your mother's death— which basically turned you into a version where you're more traumatized than you are with the awareness that bruce, who was supposed to be your father to take you in, never once came to find you after the incident.

which cues to you following your mother's footsteps: becoming the same wo/maneater. but instead of working in the streets or finding bars to perform and sell your body to— you force yourself to learn to be more promiscuous at an early age, find your mother's old clients, become trained by other criminals associated with her— your mentors aren't the greatest, they only use you to up their customer counts, they don't care about you, whether you cry or not, whether the clothes you wear are too tight or if you're tight in budget to even afford food.

you're exposed to the cruelty of the world at an early age. learn that bluntness, letting go of any empathy for people will be the only thing keeping you alive.

leading to your adult life: you became an underground model. with no known last name, with the reputation of an enchantress. your life is shrouded in mysteries, in conspiracy theories and endless rumors and dirt about your name—

but that doesn't matter, scratch that, your point of view doesn't matter because in this fic idea, i just want to focus mainly on how the batfamily starts becoming obsessed with you. i want to create something inherently focusing on their perspective of it all.

your mystery, your allure, your overall poise and stage presence. maybe bruce once forced himself to watch one of those boring runway performances, and he just sees you and sees himself in you—

which leads to this: one day of finally being able to attend one of bruce's fancy galas, courtesy of a very personal invitation from bruce from backstage. each member of the family manages to have one single interaction with you. any casual talk, any jokes thrown their way, a dance with one, a light, almost hesitant laugh to another— colored contacts hiding the ugly dimness which in turn piques tim's interest, makes him want to dissect your thoughts.

like, i don't know if i'm formulating my thoughts coherently enough for this concept to be entertained. but to sum it all up, just imagine those shows where it's told through a perspective of multiple people focusing on one cryptid, on a case long unsolved, a creature which holds no known record to human history— and soon those people's lives become revolved around that one mystery, consumed by familiarity at most.

because you are part of their family, none of them ever knew until the very end. think of that horrendous tom taylor plot twist within the nightwing run where there's this one girl who confessed being dick's long lost sister— now imagine you actively trying your best to stay unknown to them, long since given up through idolizing them through broken tv screens and focusing on yourself instead. you're well aware they're up to something, that they're pinning their curiosity onto you—

cue to me telling alexa to play anxiety by doechii, where like i said: not one thing is revealed about your thoughts unlike in the original a&a series, but rather me writing a series of everyone else's personal thoughts on you and how they each spiral into straight up obsession and the need to keep you for themselves despite never knowing why really.

because in their eyes, you've always been just a model who randomly piqued their attention. they never knew that you were always connected to them from the start— not until the very end at least.

AAA games? Pfft. Indie games? Double pfft.

I only play games from the alternate history where Hillary Clinton was elected in 2008 and banned all video games. You can only imagine how weird their underground gaming scene is. People like to call unlicensed games "bootlegs" but they've got actual bootlegged games! I've played games about helping your grandmother in hospice care realize she's a lesbian by reading Sappho to her, at 2am in a speakeasy in Baltimore. The cops raided it the next night, hundreds of Gamers were arrested. They posted pictures all over Friendster of the Baltimore PD destroying the arcades with axes.

I nearly got busted once because I was imaging old disks from a 386 and someone tipped off the gaming cops that there was a copy of Commander Keen in there. I had to prove that I didn't know it, I was imaging the disks blind and then indexing them later, and I would of course turn over any contraband to the proper authorities.

I was already on a watch list because I'd been known to have some gamedev-related activities pre-ban. They can't arrest me for making games back in 2007 when it was still legal, but they do want to keep an eye on me since I have the skills to break the law.

Anyway that universe's bootlegs are mainly PC games. Can't really have console games if there hasn't been a console release since the Wii/PS3/360 era. At one point Nintendo threatened to release the Wii SDK so game devs in the US could make unlicensed games, but that didn't happen as there were quickly no functional Wiis left in the US, except for very rare holdouts that never move. PC games are easy to distribute samizdat and hide on a USB stick or CD-R labeled "nickelback".

Japan's games industry is still going, so the later Nintendo and Sony consoles still exist, but Microsoft got out of the business of course. They sold the franchise to Sega who were hoping to release the 360 successor (the Xbox One in our universe) as the Sega Phoenix but it never materialized, either through their own financial incompetence or because of pressure from the US. There's a lot of international treaties that the US has pushed "and this aid only goes through if you ban games" clauses into. That would have been an official UN resolution if the USSR hadn't vetoed it. For once, thank God for the security council, eh?

I mainly get my gaming news through Japanese gaming sites (through a set of VPNs, since they're blocked at the border firewall), and some tor onion site run by a weird guy in Minnesota who is obsessed with documenting all the underground US games.

There's a lot being worked on, but it's always a tricky trade off. Too much attention and the police might be able to track down the creators, and it's basically impossible to fund underground games, as the VISA/PayPal etc funds get seized immediately. There's a whole task force for that.

Anyway one of the weirdest differences between our two time lines is that they've gone back and edited out gaming from a bunch of movies. Those that they can, of course. War games was just banned because they couldn't remove the tic tac toe ending. The Net just removed the scene at the beginning where she's playing Wolfenstein 3D, by recording some new screen footage and a new voice over. She's fixing a spreadsheet in the new edition.

(Yes, I've seen The Net from this alternate timeline. On Laserdisc, of course. I'm just that kind of person!)

They even edited Star Wars. You know that scene where R2-D2 is playing holochess with Chewie? They edited it to be a board game instead of holograms, because that made it too "video gamey".

Technically it's not illegal to show gaming in a movie, but it needs to be an 18+ film and you have to show the deleterious effects of gaming and/or the gamesters coming to a bad end.

This has affected films less than you'd think, to be honest. They were never great about showing video games even before they banned them.

Anyway, go have fun playing your AAA games with hundred-million-dollar budgets. I only play indie games made by people under a constant threat of arrest for their art.

Hero’s Paradox, The legend of Zelda AU

The story takes place in the present timeline of Tears of the Kingdom, after the encounter with Ganondorf beneath Hyrule Castle and the disappearance of Princess Zelda. In this story, Link—Wild, our protagonist, awakens with more than one remnants of the past: he bears the arm of the first King of Hyrule and is joined by several other Links. These heroes have been pulled from their own timelines, where they had lived in peace after completing their respective adventures.

Now, they have been dragged into Wild’s present-day Hyrule, a kingdom facing imminent doom due to the destruction of the Master Sword and the reemergence of an ancient threat. The central plotline will focus on uncovering how they arrived in this timeline and, most importantly, how to return to their respective timelines.

OK since I haven't seen too many people talk about this since twitter news usually strikes pretty fast over here whenever e'usk does anything ever, let me give ya'll the run down on two things that will go live on NOVEMBER 15TH and why people are mass migrating to Blue Sky once more; and provide resources to help protect your art and make the transition to Blue Sky easier if you so choose:

The Block function no longer blocks people as intended. It now basically acts as a glorified Mute button. Even when you block someone, they can still see your posts, but they can't engage in them. If your account is a Public one and not a Private one, people you blocked will see your posts.

They say because people can easily "share and hide harmful or private information about those they've blocked," they changed it this way for "greater transparency." When in reality, this is an extremely dangerous change, as the whole point of blocking is to cease interaction with people entirely for a plethora of reasons, i.e. stalking, harassment, spam, endangerment, or just plainly annoying and not wanting to see said tweets/accounts. or you know, for 18+ accounts who do not want minors interacting with them or their material at all (There is speculation saying these changes are specifically for Elon himself so he can do his own kind of stalking, and honestly, with the private likes change, it lowkey checks out in my opinion)

Also, this straight up goes against and may violate Apple and Google's app store policies and also is straight up illegal in Canada and probably other countries as well.

If this ACTUALLY goes through, twitter will only be available in select countries, probably exclusively in the US, which would collapse the site with the lost of users and stock, and probably be the last push it needs to kill the site. And if not, will be a very sad and exclusive platform made for specific kinds of people who line up with musk's line of thinking.

2. New policies regarding Grok AI and basically removing the option to opt out of Grok's information gathering to improve their software.

And anything you upload/post on the site is considered "fair game" with "royalty-free licenses" and they can do whatever they please with it. Primarily using any and all posts on twitter to train their Grok AI. A few months ago, there was a setting you can opt out of so they couldn't take anything you post to "improve" Grok, but I guess because so many people were opting out, they decided to make it mandatory as part of the policy change (This is mainly speculation from what I hear).

So this is considered the final straw for a LOT of people, especially artists who have been gripping on to twitter for as long as they can, but the AI nonsense is too much for people now, including myself. Lot's of people are moving to Blue Sky for good reason, and from personal experience, it is literally 10x better than twitter ever was, even before elon took over. There is no algorithm on there, and you can save "feeds" to your timeline to have a catered timelines to hop between if your looking for something specific like furry art or game dev stuff. It's taken them a bit to get off the ground and add much needed features, but it's genuinely so much better now

RESOURCES

Project Glaze & Cara

If you're an artist who's still on twitter or trying to ride it out for as long as you can for whatever reason you have, do yourself a favor and Glaze and/or Nightshade your work. Project Glaze is a free program designed to protect your art work from getting scrapped by AI machines. Glazing basically makes it harder to adapt and copy artwork that AI programs try to scan, while Nightshade basically "poisons" works to make AI libraries much more unstable and generate images completely off the mark. (These are layman's terms I'm using here, but follow the link to get more information)

The only problem with these programs is that they can be resource intensive for computers, and not every pc can run glaze. It's basically like rendering a frame/animation, you gotta let your pc sit there to get it glazed/nightshade, and depending on the intensity and power of your pc, this may take minutes to hours depending on how much you wanna protect your work.

HOWEVER, there are two alternatives, WebGlaze and Cara

WebGlaze is an in browser version of the program, so your pc doesn't have to do the heavy lifting. You do need to have an account with Glaze and be invited to use the program (I have not done so personally so I don't know much about the process.)

Cara is an artist focused site that doubles as both a portfolio site and a general social media platform. They've partnered with Glaze and have their own browser glazing called "Cara Glaze," and highly encourage users to post their work Glazed and are extremely anti-ai. You do get limited uses per day to glaze your work, so if you plan on doing a huge backlog uploading of your art, it may take awhile if your using just Cara Glaze.

Some twitter users have suggested glazing your art, cropping it, and overlaying it with a frame telling people to follow them elsewhere like on Bluesky. Here's a template someone provided if you wanna use this one or make your own.

Blue Sky Resources and Tips

So if your a twitter user and your about to realize the hellish task of refollowing a massive chunk of people you follow, have no fear, there's an extension called Sky Follower Bridge (Firefox & Chrome links). This is a very basic extension that makes it really easy to find people on Bluesky

It sorts them out by trying to find matching usernames, usernames in descriptions, or by screen name. It's not 100% perfect, there's a couple people I already follow on Blue Sky but the extension could not find them on twitter correctly, but I still found a huge chunk of people. Also if your worried that this extension is "iffy," they do have a github open with the source publicly available and the Blue Sky Team themselves have promoted the extension in their recent posts while welcoming new users to the platform.

FEEDS and LABELS

OK SO THE COOLEST PART ABOUT BLUESKY IS THE FEEDS SYSTEM. Basically if you've made a twitter list before, it's like that, but way more customizable and caters to specific types of posts/topics. Consolidating them into a timeline/feed that exclusively filled about those particular topics, or just people in general. There's thousands to pick and choose from!

Here's a couple of mine that I have saved and ready (down below). Some feeds I have saved so I can jump to seeing what my friends and mutuals are up to, and see their posts specifically so it doesn't get lost in reposts or other accounts, and also specialized feeds for browsing artists within the furry community.

The Furry Community feeds I have here were created by people who've built an algorithm to place any #furry or #furryart or other special tags like #Furrystreamer or #furrydev. They even have one for commissions, and yes you can say commissions on a post and not have it destroyed or shadow banned. You are safe.

If you want, and I highly recommend it to get visibility and check out a neat community, follow furryli.st to get added to their list and feeds. Once your on the list, even without a hashtag, you'll still pop up in their specialized feeds as just a member of the community there. There are plenty of other feeds out there besides this one, but I feel like a lot of people could use one like this. They even got ones for OC specific too I remember seeing somewhere.

And in terms of labels, they can be either ways to help label yourself with specific things or have user created accessibility settings to help better control your experience on Blue Sky.

And my personal favorite: Ai Imagery Labeler. Removes any AI stuff or hides it to the best of it's abilities, and it does a pretty good job, I have not seen anything AI related since subscribing to it.

Finally, HASHTAGS WORK & No need to censor yourself!

This is NOT like twitter or any other big named social media site AT ALL, so you don't have to work around words to get your stuff out there and be seen. There are literally feeds built around having commissions getting and art seen! Some people worry about bots and that has been a recent issue since a lot of people are migrating to Blue Sky, but it comes with any social media territory.

ALSO COOL PART,

you can search a hashtag on someone's profile and search exclusively on that profile as well! You can even put the hashtag in bio for easy access if you have a specialize tag like here on tumblr. OR EVEN BUILD YOUR OWN ART FEED FOR YOUR STUFF SPECIFICALLY!

PRE-SQUID GAME TIMELINE

♱ I don’t think Nam-gyu is a nasty incel who’s never experienced the touch of woman — If any think, I just think he’s a total loser

♱ Nam-gyu lived with his mum till he was twenty four, he told his friends it was “cheaper”. In reality, he’s a crybaby who can’t handle having roommates and sharing a shower with two other men

♱ He drinks long blacks thinking it makes him look sophisticated — Nam-gyu prefers strawberry matcha, he just thinks it’s too girly

♱ He loves alternative milks, despises dairy

♱ I personally think Nam-guy has been hospitalised from dehydration

♱ Nam-gyu’s self-esteem issues stemmed from his childhood. His dad left when he was five, so he didn’t have a male figure in his life. He was also a little chubby pre-puberty, so none of the girls really liked him

♱ Then he hit puberty and it wasn’t any better — He lost all the excess baby weight, but he gained horrible acne. Not just hormonal acne, either, like full on cystic acne

♱ He was also a little smelly and nobody told him

♱ Never showered after gym class because he had horrible back-acne and chest-acne. Not showering only made it worse, though

♱ I also think he had teeth problems for some reason

Okay, so maybe Tim has no business being in Bludhaven. Tim maintains that since his parents fail at parenting, he can do whatever he wants.

Besides, it's for a good cause. Like, not letting Tarantula get her dirty hands on his big brother in another time line. Tarantula had popped up in the Bludhaven servers - by that, Tim means the endless amounts of threads and underground fronts for criminal activity that he stalks on a regular basis- by being seen with Nightwing. Tim had immediately booked a ride to Bludhaven and bought another burner. He'd try to take care of her himself, but if worse comes to worse, he'd call Deathstroke. He's totally aware of the weird tension Deathstroke has with Nightwing and Tim's kind of banking on that.

Dick's been back in Blud for two months now, Jason having assuaged his mother hen tendencies enough for Dick to get sick of the Manor. Tim hadn't meant to follow since he had plenty of projects to work on now that "SAVE JASON" wasn't blaring at the top of his head.

But then Tarantula appeared and Tim saw red, remembering the way Dick spoke about her and what she did to him.

He bids the driver goodbye. The driver doesn't question his being on his lonesome mainly because 1) Gothamites mind their own busines, 2) Tim gave him a $500 tip to make sure he remains a "good" Gothamite cabbie, and 3) Tim made sure he was dropped off in the swankiest, most ostentatious hotel Bludhaven had to offer.

"Rich people," the cab driver had muttered as Tim closed the door. Perfect.

Tim got his keycard, having checked in under Alvin Draper over the phone. Normally, they'd require an in person visit, but money talks. And people listened when Tim had a lot of things to say.

Tim even feels like he's trained enough to go out! Lady Shiva's training was ingrained into his memory, and Tim's built enough muscle to make use of some of it. He is still nine, after all. He's so much stealthier this time around. Plus, he's got almost his full tool set back. Sure, some of the tech is ancient, but he managed to finagle it to make grappling guns and smoke pellets more along the quality that he's used to.

Tim waits until nightfall, looping the surveillance around his window to mask his exit. Tim adjusts his domino, eyes scanning the city skyline as his handheld computer (god, he can't believe he has to invent wrist computers) tracked reports of Nightwing through Tweetings.

Ah. He's around Seventh. Tim grimaces as his untested joints adjusts to the grappling guns. His dark clothes make him hard to spot, to his advantage as he tracks down Nightwing.

Tim watches, perched on an adjacent roof as Nightwing takes down a crowd of goons with the flips Tim remembered watching from afar and up close in another timeline.

"Blockbuster'll kill everyone you love, Nightwing!"

Tim winces at the rather brutal crunch that followed, Nightwing having punched the guy and knocked him out in one move. He watches Dick sigh, tugging at his hair in stress.

Tim could... no, no. He shouldn't think of murder as a first option. Well, no, he shouldn't think of Deathstroke as a first option. But he'll need to take Blockbuster out before anything happens. And he needs to threaten the new Tarantula before anything happens. He won't allow her to even get close to Dick.

Maybe it's unfair to punish her for a crime she hasn't done, but unlike murder, rape can never be defended. Catalina Flores is a dead woman walking.

Tim stalks his big brother back home and then broke off to begin his short reign of terror over Bludhaven's underground. If he can't get Dick to take a break (and Tim's tried, a lot, over the years) then he'll make sure that the next month is as gentle as possible on his older brother.

Step 1. Murder Take care of Blockbuster

Step 2. Threaten Catalina Flores and her brother.

No. Wait. Tim has a better idea. He's got dirt on them, on top of the murder thing. He'll fabricate Catalina's tax returns, embezzle a shit ton of money from the IRS, and get her and her corrupt brother (because getting your sister out from murder charges is considered corrupt) arrested and locked away. And he'll make sure they stay locked away with some good old blackmail on Amanda Waller.

Tim grins, tranquilizing the building with an ungodly amount of knock out gas pellets, to riffle through the police precinct's files.

Step 2. Threaten Catalina Flores and her brother.

Step 2. Cripple Catalina Flores and her brother with blackmail and the IRS.

In three hours, Tim has everything he needs to begin a temporary hostile takeover. He's got the names of local mob bosses, the big players, and the names of practically every police officer that takes bribes and their... sponsors.

He'll have to cut off Blockbuster's lines of supplies first. Then, blacklist him from local suppliers, mobilize the police precinct against him (by imitating his M.O. perfectly- Tim's not a fucking amateur- and pretending to rob the precinct blind), and then break his knees.

Step 3. Profit

Tim takes out his shiny new burner phone, enjoying the loud sounds of the police squawking through his planted bugs. He lounges on the building next to it, keeping an eye out for Nightwing just in case the man decides to respond to the crisis.

[Unknown: It's RR.]

[Deathstroke: New phone?]

[RR: Who dis?]

[Deathstroke: What?]

[RR: Nevermind. I'll give you forty thousand to shoot someone's knees out.]

[Deathstroke:... That's it? Who?]

[RR: Blockbuster. Bludhaven. Extra twenty thousand if you tell him he's got the spine of a sea slug, kick him in the balls, and post it on Tweeting.]

[Deathstroke: What did he do to you? Deal.]

Tim ignored Deathstroke's question.

[RR: Half sent. Confirm?]

[Deathstroke: Confirmed. Timeline?]

[RR: Three weeks. 21 days.]

[Deathstroke: Confirmed.]

Tim grins ferally, all teeth as Catalina Flores looked on in horror at her computer screen.

"Get out of Bludhaven, and don't come back. If you even think of going near Nightwing, I will rip what's left of your pathetic, sniveling swine of a brother apart. You will not enjoy the consequences."

Tim clicks off, watching Catalina and her brother launch themselves into mad packing. He tapped out a short message to Amanda Waller for her and her team to intercept them at the state lines. They'll never get away from Tim's fury. Never.

[Waller: It's done.]

[Waller: I will find you.]

[RR: You can definitely try, Waller. Good doing business with you.]

Tim can see the blood vessel the woman popped after he sent that last message. He laughs.

He saves Deathstroke's video from Tweeting onto his actual, spoofed phone. He destroys the burner phone, less shiny now that he's dragged it through two and a half weeks of breaking heads and terrorizing the Bludhaven Underground. Nightwing hadn't even gotten a whiff of his activities, this Dick being far less experienced and known in this version of Blud.

One more week and Tim can continue his other projects.

im catching up on critical role (am partway through C3 E120) and im struck by some differences between C2 and C3.

C2, for me, was a narrative that was endlessly about coming home. every character is searching for home, or a feeling of home (be that each other). Home in C2 is the nestled nook, the leaky tap, the dome, the lavish chateau, the mistake, the ball eater, felderwin, the xhorhaus, the blooming grove, the nein heroez, the tower, and more. the nein find a home in every town, in each other. they spend their cameos throwing in talks of home, of marriage, of future.

At the start of C3, the hells can't even pick a tavern to be loyal to. they come with two brief senses of home - Madam Zhudanna's and the Krook House (later Ligament Manor). but they are soon left behind. the hells never settle anywhere that feels like home, and they are all running from their memories of home and trying not to look back.

Caleb dreams of raising his home from the ashes, whilst Imogen runs from the storm that consumes hers. Home is something that is lost for the hells. they do not stop. they do not settle. laudna and Imogen's dream cottage feels more like a pipe dream than a promise.

it's this difference, I think, that makes the difference between the two parties. The Nein know their homes and stand steady and grounded with the philosophy of 'leave each place better than you found it'. This culminates in their final battle - a fight against a tortured city with its avatar wearing the face of a dead friend. Their final fight is deeply personal and deeply resonant to their story. They lay tortured memory to rest to save the world, freeing the long trapped souls of aeor, driven by the love of one. They are fighting for the homes that they have made and saved and loved.

The hells, on the other hand, come to us largely untethered from a sense of home. they are people from places that do not define them. Jrusar is just a temporary stop for people who never stop moving. Whitestone is no longer home to Laudna. Even brief visits to Ligament Manor are on a timeline, and come with a cost in later favours. They have no motto other than 'smiley day to you,' and 'what the fuck is up with that?' platitudes and questions get them nowhere.

It makes sense that their villain is philosophy. the nein fight corruption and tyranny. the hells ponder the notion of the divine right of gods. they find no fixed point of agreement other than the fact that they disagree with the methods that others use (and then kill them about it). in the end, their closest friend is their first enemy, Ira, whose morals that they once disagreed with but they have now overlooked. the hells are inconstant, changing.

when the nein were playing, the world was set dressing to their story, enhancing it, and serving as a tool to let us know them. the hells are the opposite. to me, they are set dressing to the story of the world, giving us a viewpoint to see people and places that once felt like home through the eyes of strangers. the hells are without constancy, without clear mission, without regular income, without a grounding in the world.

whilst their final battle is deeply personal to the hells, it still feels impersonal. it feels like the connections were all made off stage, in the wings, rather than at the roadside, at dawn, with a glaive. without a home, or a mission, the hells feel more hollow than the nein. they are defined mainly by their connections to other people - Keyleth's saviour blade, Lord Zathuda and the Fatestitcher's child, Delilah's puppet, Liliana Temult's daughter, Ashton of the Hishari. I cannot tell you stories of their heroism. They robbed a museum once, they raced in a speeder race, they went to the moon. They have been cogs in a larger story until they stumbled into the end of it, still feeling like strangers to me

he most likely would meet you/notice you at a yellowjackets game that his dad dragged him and javi to. and travis, being the stubborn asshole he was, kept his headphones on the entire game.

he'd also for sure act like he wasn't watching you, 'the only thing on the field worth watching' to his mind. travis couldn't give a fuck less about soccer if we're being honest, and if he has to come to another game - better believe he's sulking in the stands with his arms crossed and walkman in his lap while strictly watching you.

then, about a month later, when semesters switched for school, travis found himself sitting directly next to you. really, he blamed it on teachers and their unnecessary need to have a seating chart. but he also couldn't help but silently thank his stupid english teacher when he just kept looking and looking at you.

it probably took him at least a week to talk to you. we all know that he has absolutely no experience with girls, plus all the weird '90s mindset of how guys are supposed to be. but when he does start talking and, to his surprise, you reply and actually seem engaged with the conversation, it's like a switch in his mind flips and he's immediately crushing on you.

after getting together, though, travis would most definitely complain every single time that you talked about the team, even though he has a grin on his face and he's letting you talk all you want. he'd know all about the plays that you've been practicing during the later practices after school, and who's mad at who on the team.

when boarding the plane - since he didn't even want to go on the trip in general - travis would flat out refuse to sit next to his dad and javi (even though they both offered), choosing to find an empty row and drag you with him to sit beside you. he'd ask you if you wanted to borrow his headphones or if you wanted him to keep them off for the flight. you chose the easier option and let him keep the headphones on and let him fall asleep on your shoulder.

during the wilderness - 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊

season one and two would probably be the same as the show; travis sticking with his fuckass attitude, staying by your side the entire time - mainly because he does not want to interact with the rest of the girls, and him and natalie still becoming the hunters.

doomcoming would've been completely different, therefore the SA he experienced (and obviously sleeping with jackie) wouldn't be a thing and he'd instead spend it with you joking about how "prom sucked this year" and "you wear that thing pretty good." thank you akilah, by the way, for the twig and moss crown. as well as taking a walk in the woods tripping out until you both ended up accidentally falling asleep leaning against a log in a clearing.

during when javi was missing, though, and a little because of his dad's death, he'd cry almost every night and use his body to just cover yours, clinging to you like he's afraid you'll be gone too if his hands loosen just barely - and he will absolutely not take that chance of losing the only person left in his life he cares about. so, you might end up with marks on your sides or arms the next day, a bit of soreness, and definitely tear-stained shirts. but he refuses to acknowledge any of his actions in the morning.

when it gets to the point of season three, travis wouldn't really be as quiet and spacey because he had you stuck by him the entire time. you and he for sure had a small make-shift funeral for javi, so travis got at least a little bit of closure. making the hut a bit away from the rest of the camp to put space between you two and them - especially after having to resort to cannibalism just to stay alive. he'd be the one to cover the makeshift walls with the drawings javi made, as well as keeping the small wolf he carved next to the hammock.

travis would actually enjoy seeing you participate in the games with the girls, sometimes helping you win tag or whatever the game is, even though he's not playing or on either of the teams. it would remind him of when he first saw you on the soccer field pre-crash, and that sorta gave him some semblance of "control" of where life had ended up for you both.

when lottie starts giving him the shrooms, though, he'd get back to the hut exhausted and just collapse onto you, mumbling nonsense about what had happened that time and that he had no idea what to do since he couldn't bring himself to tell lottie to knock it off. which, in turn, gave you the idea of telling lottie that akilah was chosen by the wilderness and travis was being let go from the role lottie placed upon him.

when it actually worked, though, he'd be so thankful and spend at least a week doing whatever you asked as a thanks for you getting him out of doing the shrooms. travis would also most definitely make jokes about you being a prophet or something because your "hunch" about akilah being chosen was helping lottie, too.

travis would probably ask if he could stay over with you and your family a lot. he hates how quiet and lifeless his house is now with his dad and javi gone, and his mom always tells him to do whatever he feels the need to. which, you had turned into his home ever since the first few months of being stuck, so he felt safe and comforted with you.

you were the one to suggest a farm originally, after thinking back to mortimer in the wilderness and how travis looked like he felt useful when he held him, you just had to suggest something to help you both feel connected to the wilderness since you were so used to being out there - even if it was the most mundane way you could. it was still enough to let him feel connected to javi.

neither of you really kept in contact with the other survivors, except maybe the occasional call to misty or natalie, rarely lottie. van and taissa became a 'if there's an occasion, we'll contact or respond.' shauna and melissa became an immediate decline of the call or a burn of whatever they sent in the mail.

you both most likely got married in your twenties, probably about 24 or 25. it wasn't that you needed to figure anything out, because with everything you two went through together in the wilderness, travis would really lose himself completely if he didn't end up with you somehow. it was more of a 'we need to get everything in our lives fully settled and comfortable before we plan anything else' and it was really just a courthouse wedding anyway. lottie was your witness. you both didn't feel the need to have some big celebration and instead made your own in the backyard of the farmhouse.
