Life… is beautiful.
Even if it is full of pain, sadness, and hurt.
Even if it is full of tears, there are also moments of happiness, smiles, and gladness.
Life is a roller coaster. It lifts you up, then plunges you down, only to rise again. When you step into the cart for the first time, you know it will bring a whirlwind of emotions—fear, joy, anxiety. You know from the start what to expect, yet you still take the ride because deep down, you believe it will be worth it in the end.
You smile as you finish writing the last sentence in your book, the final period punctuating months of dedication and passion. It's done. After all the hard work, the late nights, and the self-doubt, it's finally finished.
You stand up, stretching your back with a satisfied sigh, and decide that a reward is in order. You change into your exercise outfit, slip on your earphones, and set the timer on your watch.
30 minutes.
You head out, jogging through the park outside your apartment. The weather is perfect—a gentle breeze, the sun filtering through the trees, a few people scattered around, minding their own business. You focus on your breathing, your feet hitting the pavement in a steady rhythm, the world around you fading into the background.
As you reach a shaded path, you feel the need to pause and catch your breath. You slow down, resting your hands on your knees. Suddenly, a hand lands on your shoulder, startling you.
You jump slightly, turning to see who it is. The surprise on your face deepens when you see him.
He’s breathless, his chest heaving as he holds up an index finger, gesturing for a moment of silence. “I’m… sorry,” he says between gasps. “Give me… one second… to catch my breath.”
You stand there, stunned. The face in front of you is one you haven't seen in years.
It’s Han—your first love.
“Nice to see you again,” he finally says, a grin spreading across his face.
You’re speechless for a moment, your mind racing to catch up. “Han… I can’t believe it’s you!” The shock wears off, replaced by a wave of warmth and nostalgia. You reach out and hug him, the familiar scent and feel of him bringing back a flood of memories.
He laughs, hugging you back and patting your shoulder. “I saw you while I was driving and I had to stop. I called out to you, but then I realized you had earphones on.” He chuckles, still slightly out of breath.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry!” you exclaim, pulling back to look at him properly. “I’m so surprised to see you! How have you been?”
“I’m fine, doing well. It’s so good to see you again.”
“Me too!”
The moment feels surreal as if you’re in a dream. You find yourselves sitting in a cozy café, sipping your favorite strawberry latte while he enjoys a slice of red velvet cake. The scene feels like a perfect snapshot of your reunion, a peaceful moment in the midst of life’s chaos.
Han was your first love, the boy who held your hand when you were just 13. Back then, you both thought you understood love—childish dreams of the future, talking about getting married, and planning a life together as if you knew what it all meant.
You smile, lost in the memories of those innocent days.
-
“Let’s get married,” he had said one time, both of you sitting on a bench, holding hands.
You stopped munching on your favorite snack, looking at him. His eyes, filled with affection, sparkled like they held tiny beating hearts. If this were an animated movie, there would be hearts popping out of them.
“Yes, when we’re adults,” you replied with a smile, leaning your head on his shoulder.
“That’s a promise, okay?”
“Yeah, a promise.” And with that, you linked pinky fingers, sealing the promise with the innocent trust only kids have.
-
“How are you?” you ask now, your eyes locking with his. The happiness in his face is contagious.
“I’m doing well, healthy and living life to the fullest.” He smiles, and it’s the same smile you remember—genuine, warm, unchanging.
“I’m glad to hear that. Really,” you say, feeling the warmth of his presence spreading through you.
“I’m really glad to see you too. How about you?”
“I’m doing fine, healthy as well. Life hasn’t always been easy, but I’m at a point where I’m happy and living my best life.”
“Thank God for that,” he says, his voice full of sincerity.
Hearing those words from him makes you both sigh, a shared sense of relief washing over you.
“I saw you on TV. You’re a famous writer now. You don’t know how proud I am of you,” he says, his voice full of admiration. “I’m glad you achieved your dream.”
His words hit you deep, emotions welling up. “Thank you.”
Being a writer had always been your dream.
-
“When I grow up, I want to be a famous writer. I’ll write books that inspire people,” you had said, lying on the grass, looking up at the stars with Han beside you. You held your pen up like a magic wand, closing one eye as you imagined the future.
“And I hope you achieve that dream,” he had said, taking your hand and holding it tight.
You had smiled at his words, feeling the warmth of his support.
“What about you? What do you want to do when we grow up?” you asked, turning to look at him.
“Me?” He had looked at you, then back at the stars. “Aside from being with you, which is my ultimate dream, I want to become an engineer.”
“An engineer?”
“Yeah… I want to build a big house for us. A really big house.”
You had felt a pang of emotion then, knowing how much he longed for a family and a place to call home.
-
“And you, Han?” you ask now, watching as his smile grows even wider.
“I’m now a licensed engineer.”
“Oh my God, really?!” You can’t contain your excitement, jumping up from your seat to hug him again. “I’m so proud of you, Han! You finally achieved your dream.”
He laughs, happiness radiating from both of you as you hold each other.
“I’m proud of us,” he says, hugging you back tightly.
You pull away, a little embarrassed by your outburst. “I’m so sorry, I just got so happy to hear that, Han.” You sit back down, smiling shyly.
“It’s okay, I’m really happy for us too.”
Han goes on to tell you about his work. He’s the engineer responsible for a new apartment complex in the city. That’s why you crossed paths again. As he talks, you listen intently, your heart swelling with pride for the man he has become.
You nearly tear up as he shares his journey—the hardships, the trials, the long years of studying. He worked hard, from kindergarten all the way to college, never losing sight of his dream. And now, he’s living it.
“I’m finished talking about me. Now, let’s talk about you,” he says, turning the focus back to you.
You fall silent, memories flooding back. You remember the times when you almost gave up on your dream, when no one bought your books, and your work gathered dust on the shelves. You remember walking through bookstores, seeing your book in the corner, covers nearly torn from being ignored.
You remember the despair, the feeling that maybe your dream was just that—a dream. But then, something changed. A light entered your life, lifting you up, guiding you to where you are now. It was hard—so hard—but you persevered, and now you’re here, a successful author with stories that touch people’s hearts.
Tears fill your eyes as you tell him this, the emotions too strong to hold back.
“I’m sorry, I got carried away,” you laugh through the tears, wiping them with a tissue he hands you.
He’s still a gentleman, just like he always was.
“I’m glad for you,” he says softly.
“I’m glad for us,” you reply, feeling a profound connection to him, even after all these years.
-
“What will happen after we achieve our dreams?” you had asked him once, walking together along a tree-lined path. It was fall, and you kicked at the leaves, watching them swirl in the breeze.
“We’ll get married. I’ll buy you the shiniest ring in the world,” he had said, his voice full of determination.
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“Even if it’s not the shiniest ring in the world… I’ll still marry you.”
“For real?”
“Yes. You’re the only one I want to spend my life with. You’ll build our big house, and I’ll be the most famous writer in the world. We’ll be happy together, forever.”
“And you’ll still wear the shiniest ring in the world because that’s what you deserve,” he had said, holding your hand and kissing it gently.
“I love you,” you had mumbled, your heart full of emotion.
“I love you too.”
And under the falling leaves, you had kissed him for the first time.
-
The conversation between you both gradually trails off, leaving an unspoken tension hanging in the air. The café's ambient sounds—the quiet clinks of cups, the murmur of distant conversations—fade into the background. It feels as though the world outside has paused, allowing you both to be suspended in this fragile moment. You’re unsure if he remembers the past as vividly as you do, but meeting him again has stirred memories you had long buried. The memories of the happy moments you shared, the laughter, the dreams—it all comes rushing back with a bittersweet intensity.
There’s a question burning in your heart, one that you’ve held onto for years. But as you open your mouth to speak, the words falter on your lips. You hesitate, the weight of the past pressing down on you. You’re not sure if you should ask—if you even have the right to.
-
"Let’s break up," you had said, your voice trembling as you turned your back on him, trying to hold yourself together. The words tasted bitter, foreign, as they left your mouth.
"Why?" His voice had cracked, laced with confusion and desperation, forcing you to turn and face him. The sight of his pleading eyes, full of pain, made your resolve waver.
"I don’t know. I don’t deserve you. I don’t love you anymore…" The lie felt like a knife twisting in your chest, each word cutting deeper. You couldn’t look him in the eye, knowing that the truth would betray the facade you were trying to maintain. "And… we’re leaving. We won’t be coming back."
You forced the tears to stay at bay, but when you heard the way his voice cracked, the dam you had built burst. The tears you had tried so hard to hold back streamed down your face, unstoppable.
"Why would you do that to me?" he had asked, his voice barely above a whisper, full of hurt.
"I don’t know. You should find someone else to achieve your dreams with. I have things I need to focus on in my life too. I don’t want to spend my life tied to you," you had said, forcing yourself to face him as you delivered those final, hurtful words. The look in his eyes as he bowed his head, defeated, had nearly broken you.
He was only a boy then, but he had known what love was, what it meant to make someone a part of your life. You had been his life, his future, his everything. How could he continue when the one person he wanted to build that life with had just walked away?
And so, you had left him, without looking back, disappearing from his life as if you had never been a part of it.
-
But now, years later, here he is, sitting in front of you, smiling as if nothing had changed. He’s happy to see you, proud of the person you’ve become, despite the hurtful words you once threw at him. And that, more than anything, tears at your heart.
A single tear escapes your eye before you can stop it, and you quickly wipe it away, hoping he didn’t notice.
"So, do you have a family now?" The question slips out, carrying with it the years of wondering, of what-ifs.
"I…" he begins, but before he can finish, the door of the café chimes, and a beautiful woman walks in, her presence commanding attention. She makes her way to your table, and you watch as Han stands up to greet her, the fondness in his eyes unmistakable.
"Honey…" he says, and your heart skips a beat. The word echoes in your mind, heavy with implications.
Honey?
Confused, you watch as they hug each other warmly, the scene playing out before you like a slow-motion reel. It feels surreal, like you’re watching from a distance, even though you’re right there.
"Honey, this is my friend I told you about," Han says, introducing you with a smile. He then turns to you, his eyes meeting yours. "This is my fiancée."
Fiancée.
The word hits you like a punch to the gut, knocking the wind out of you. You force a smile, accepting her hand for a handshake, even as you feel a pang of pain in your heart
She sits down, joining your conversation with an easy grace, and you can’t help but notice how happy they are together. The way they look at each other, the subtle touches, the smiles—it’s clear that they’re deeply in love, a love that’s mutual and uncomplicated.
you look at the shiniest ring they were wearing.
You’re glad for Han. He deserves this happiness, this life he’s built. He’s finally living his dream, the dream that you once shared but were never meant to fulfill together. He’s found someone to continue that dream with, someone who will stand by his side as he builds the future you both once imagined.
The hurt lingers, but it’s softened by a genuine happiness for him. You’re happy that he’s happy, because that's what he deserve: happiness
Your thoughts are interrupted as the café owner sets your additional drinks down on the table. “Here’s your order,” he says. You murmur a soft thank you, still trying to process the whirlwind of emotions.
“No need to pay for your drinks,” the owner adds with a warm smile. “It’s on me.”
"No, I insist on paying for us," you replied, trying to cover up the flutter of in your chest.
"It's fine, babe," he said, chuckling as he gently pressed the matter.
"Really, it's okay," you laughed, looking between him and Han, who were both clearly confused by the exchange.
"Ah, by the way, I forgot to introduce you," you said, standing up with a smile. You gestured to the man beside you. "This is Hyunjin, the owner of the café."
"Hello, I'm Hyunjin," he said, extending his hand for a handshake. "I'm her boyfriend."
Han's eyes widened in surprise, his confusion evident as he looked between you and Hyunjin.
You laughed at Han's bewildered expression, and soon the table was filled with lighthearted laughter once again.
Life, you thought, was indeed full of surprises and plot twists. Just when you thought you knew how things would turn out, the unexpected happens.
But despite the twists and turns, one thing remains true: life is beautiful.

Yay I’m not late to requests! I just started watching/reading one piece last week (don’t know what took me so long) And I love your writing! 😄 whose your favorite? Mine is Mihawk
I don’t really know the names of everything but can I request for Mihawk, Sir Crocodile, and Silvers Rayleigh with knife play (or hook play for crocodile), Breeding Kink, and role play (specifically cops and robbers thou ig it would be pirate and marine lol)
Please and thank you
Just last week!? Oh wow - I'm glad to see someone getting into it \o/ the more the merrier I say <3 May you enjoy the vast emotional roller coaster you have signed up for =D
My favorite? I have to say hands down it's Eustass Kid.
Second to him I like a lot of characters. It's probably faster to list the ones I don't like xD Between canon material and the fandom there's just such great takes on hundreds of characters.
But at this point I doubt anyone's dethroning Kid (My first favorite was Zoro, then Law, then suddenly just before Wano Kid took over).
*ahem* Thank you for asking by the way, it's nice to just gush a little -^_^-
Alright, by Character, let's Do this \o/
Sir Crocodile:
Knife Play - FUCK Yes - I mean, the hook aside, there is a lot of discipline and control in Edge Play - whether knives, or hooks, or sharp glass. Sir Crocodile's control of his hook is legendary. No one gets so much as a nick unless he means for them to, and no one avoids being cut if that's what he's going for.
As long as your clear about which side of the knife's edge is your limit, he'll ride that line skillfully, and happily. He'll have you concerned and shivering in anticipation for hours showing you his extensive collection. From hooks to knives to razor blades, to bananawani teeth.
Breeding Kink - Yes - There's two keys things that drive Crocodile in a relationship (there's dozens, but two of them are big), control and possession. He wants to mark you, fill you up, and make sure everyone knows that you're his - and to touch what's his is the highest of crimes.
Whether "Successful" or not is irrelevant. Just the act of filling you up is enough, and preferably to do so repeatedly. The first load always become foam for the second, sometimes the third. If it wasn't for the distinct scent of his cigars, he'd probably be more prone to covering you in his cum, vs filling you up with it.
Role Play (cops n robbers) - Sure - He's not big into the costumes or the role play, but he's not entirely against it. You might have to make sure you're catching him in the right mood more than anything else. But rest assured whether you're the good guy or not, he's going to be the one winning by the end of things. He'll corrupt all your heroes and have you squirming and begging under him in various ways.
I can say at the very least the costumes will go well with the requested scene. He's nothing if not a man with taste - and enough money to have all the custom clothes you could ever want to see made.
Silvers Rayleigh:
Knife Play - Yes - I think the only way he's into this is if there's no blood. Rayleigh doesn't strike me as someone willing to risk scarring his partner, even if they're just sharing his bed for a single night. But he's also skilled enough in general (and especially with blades) to be very comfortable with them. He'll tease and threaten and edge you for a good long while until you're a shivering, crying mess of nerves and anticipation.
Breeding Kink - FUCK Yes - I'm just going to say it as a head canon (as always for myself) but I think this guy's infertile. Genetics can be a bitch like that sometimes, but it's also possible some fight, injury, mishap, whatever ended up causing it. In spite of it, or maybe because of it, he loves to just pump his lovers full of cum. He's all calm and cool and collected and experienced, and he uses that to wine, dine, and dance his way into the evening he wants to have, but it's all to feel those tight wet walls shuddering against him as he adds to the mess.
And the mess is what I think he really revels in. Sweat, slick, cum, pleasure - whatever. He can be sensual sure, but sex is messy business and it's not a good meal unless you're wearing half of it by the end.
Role Play (cops n robbers) - Oh god you don't even know - I think at heart Rayleigh is a big kid. Role Play gives him an outlet for that, and even better it usually ends with one of his favorite activities. I also feel like he enjoys having an excuse to dress up. Left to his own devices he's not one to dress to the nines daily, but if you want him to play a role he'll lean into it.
And look unforgivably good while doing it too. Whether he's the cop, or the gentleman thief, the suave pirate or the stern marine, he wears it well. Plays his part well, too. And you, poor, inexperienced, naive you, will get caught up in his dance in all the ways you both want.
Dracule Mihawk:
Knife Play - Sure - Mihawk's vibe with knife/edge play is similar to Zoro's (or Zoro's is similar to his), by his skill this is something that he can keep control of, and so he's not against it. He'll tease and please you, but there's always something holding him back - swords, knives, etc. are for fighting - for killing more pointedly. He doesn't think it's diminishes a blade to use it for such a kink, but the line between lust and bloodlust is thin.
Breeding Kink - Yes - I can see Mihawk as a family man for sure. I can also see him as someone who likes to mark his partner as his own without leaving permanent marks. From watching bruising kisses fade, to admiring his seed dripping out of you, he just adores all the small ways you give yourself to him. If kids happen because of it, then so be it, he'll fill the role as best as he can, and in the meantime he'll continue to fill you up all the days you stay within his arms.
Role Play (cops n robbers) - I dunno - I don't know that I buy that Mihawk is nearly as serious as he portrays himself to be. I daresay I almost think this man is a bigger softie and dork than Law - but he's awkward outside of this persona he's created for himself, and he's not objectively good at role-playing.
A smooth dancer, a man of silk words and satin caresses, he is most certainly a capable and devoted lover. You might get him into some primal play - a rougher tumble with some hunter/hunted vibes, but that's as close to role play as I can see him getting.

“Slightly More Anonymous Than Usual Karate Kids Getting Wasted and Starting Fist Fights”
Robby Keene x Reader Part 4
Day 7 of the 13 Nights of Halloween Spooktacular!!!
Masterlist | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
(Gif not mine)
Requested? No
Summary: (Y/n) really doesn’t want to go to the stupid Halloween Masquerade Ball. But, maybe Moon was right. Maybe she’d finally find her soulmate under the cheap streamers and disco lighting… (a cinderella retelling)
soulmate au: You find your soulmate when you touch for the first time and the date and time you met becomes engraved as a tattoo on your wrist.
Warnings: starred out swear words, violence? that’s it? 🤔😂
Pairing: Robby Keene x Fem!Reader
‘October 31st 11:58pm’
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god.
Robby. Robby Keene. Miyagi-Do’s Robby Keene. Hawk’s practical sworn enemy Robby Keene.
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god.
(Y/n) didn’t know what to do. She was sure she looked like an idiot, just standing there staring at him. But what was she supposed to do? It wasn’t like she, or anyone else for that matter, had tons upon tons of experience in this specific department.
Robby Keene…
Could this night get any worse?
“Why don’t you come over here and say that to my face, you little b*tch!”
Right…
The sharp pull, which was slowly becoming more familiar to the girl, was what brought (Y/n) out of her thoughts. She was confused again about its origins, but only for a moment before realization struck her like Hawk’s fist slamming into the side of Demetri’s face, which she could practically feel from where she stood.
Robby was gone.
And that was the pull. It was Robby. Robby, and the soulmate bond. Because Robby Keene was her soulmate. (Y/n)’s heart fluttered all on its own at the thought, and, against her better judgment, she allowed herself a moment to appreciate it. Robby was her soulmate. (Y/n) had found her soulmate. And he was… well, (Y/n) didn’t really know. But the universe did. And that was good enough for her. Her Cobra Kai friends, however, might take more convincing…
But, of course, she didn’t need to deal with that right now. No, right now, (Y/n)’s brain had apparently made the executive decision that she needed to, instead, make a break for it. Not that it wasn’t warranted. The whole evening had been an emotional roller coaster. So, fleeing the scene seemed like a fairly acceptable thing to do. And she hoped Robby would see it that way. He seemed pretty preoccupied presently anyways…
“Moon!” (Y/n) ran through the crowd, pushing past shocked partygoers who were watching the madness going down on the dance floor, and mentally cursed at herself. Why had she thought hitching a ride was a good idea instead of making her own way to this thing, knowing full well she wouldn’t have wished to stay as long as her friends did anyways, even if she hadn’t run into such a crisis as she now knew as “Robby Keene.” She honestly just hoped at this point that the other girl would be too preoccupied trying to stop her boyfriend from causing an all out karate brawl in formal attire to think too much about whether or not she should hand over the keys. Because (Y/n) really needed to get out of there…
“(Y/n)! Where’d you go!?! We were worried you got caught up in…” She trailed off, gesturing towards the mess that (Y/n) could vaguely see a familiar jacket in the middle of. Her heart jumped against her will when she caught sight of the boy she was universally destined to be with, and for a moment she contemplated staying to see if he would be alright, but then all the problems that come along with him returned to the forefront of her mind and (Y/n) was forcefully reminded how much she needed to be gone when he finally did come looking for her.
“Moon, I have to get out of here! You have to help me!” (Y/n) knew how frantic she sounded and almost felt sorry for the concern she was probably filling her friend with, but she just didn’t have time to sit around and explain. The fight was still raging, of course, but who knows how much longer it could go on for. And she needed to make her escape while they were all distracted…
“What are you talking about? We’ve gotta stop them!” Moon started dragging (Y/n) along with her, destination clear but, even if it hadn’t been, the return of the pulling sensation (of which (Y/n) had just now decided to describe simply as “Robby”) would have given it away. And that was the opposite of what she wanted…
“No! Moon, please! You have to get me out of here! It’s an emergency!”
Now, Moon didn’t initially look like she believed her, which caused (Y/n)’s heart to drop into her stomach. She hadn’t had time to think of the possible outcome if Robby did catch up with her. What do I say? What do I do? It was almost impossible to imagine the interaction not going horribly wrong in some way, and that only pushed (Y/n) further towards the flight side of her “fight or flight instinct.”
But, thankfully after a moment, which felt painfully more like an hour to the attempted runaway, Moon finally sighed and pulled a set of keys out of her purse.
“They’re to Hawk’s truck.” She explained, holding them out to (Y/n), but quickly pulled them back to finish her thought before the other girl could grab them. “But, you better bring it back to the dojo tomorrow, got it?” (Y/n) nodded eagerly, not caring that that meant making a pit stop at the Cobra infested place the next morning. She’d worry about that later…
“Thanks Moon, you’re a life saver! I’ll see you tomorrow!”
And off (Y/n) ran with the keys, away from the quickly escalating situation behind her, and, of course, the potential boy of her dreams…
+ + +
Robby threw another punch into the fray, but his heart just wasn’t in it. He didn’t even get her name… God, why didn’t I get her name?
The mark on his wrist felt like it was burning but Robby knew that was all just in his head. But, then again, his head was swimming with so many thoughts that he couldn’t quite pinpoint which one precisely to mentally yell at to quiet down in order to stop the phantom pains.
Someone sending a sharp kick to his side brought Robby back to the situation at hand and he glared at the Cobra who he didn’t even recognize. He figured he must be one of Hawk’s though because he knew everyone in Miyagi-Do. Robby sent a kick back, using more force than necessary, though he wasn’t about to admit the reason behind it, figuring it would be childish to say he was mad that this whole endeavor had interrupted his conversation with the girl. His soulmate…
This was so stupid. He shouldn’t be here dealing with this sh*t. He should be with her, getting to know her, falling in love, all that mushy stuff. But no. Robby was more worried about this dumb karate war. What was wrong with him?
“Robby!? Where are you going!?”
But he ignored whoever it was, not even caring enough to look back as he shoved random Cobras out of his way, charging back towards where he’d last seen her. Because he needed to see her… His soulmate…
But the table was empty, and the girl? Nowhere to be found…
Robby’s heart clenched. Where did she go? He looked around frantically, the longer he came up empty handed the more worried he became, as his thoughts ran wild with what he was going to do now. He’d never met her without a mask on. He didn’t know her name, or literally anything about her. How was he going to find her?
And then, Robby caught sight of an all too familiar green dress, and almost sighed in relief. That is, until he realized it was running, so fast you’d think she was being chased, and so far in the opposite direction…
“No! Wait!”
In any other circumstance, Robby definitely would have caught her. While she was running incredibly fast for someone in a floor length poofy dress and heels, Robby’s own dress clothes were much more equipped for the exercise. But the crowd was so big and everyone was pushing him back towards the mess he was trying to get away from, and she just kept getting further and further away.
“Stop! Please!”
But by the time Robby had finally made it through, she was gone again, though this time leaving something behind…
He kneeled down with a frown, picking up the little keychain that seemed to have fallen away from the others in her haste to leave, hope growing in his chest at the thought that maybe this could be a clue to help him find her. But then his blood ran cold as Robby read the words printed across the leather…
COBRA KAI KARATE
Ah, sh*t…

THE LEGEND OF SHEN LI 与凤行, 2024
⇢ starring: zhao liying, lin gengxin
If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more. (I'm talking about The Legend of Shen Li)
Let me preface this by saying I'm biased. And it's been a million years since I tried to put my thoughts into writing so this is gonna be all over the place and long-winded. And probably wouldn't make any sense. So here it goes.
I really enjoyed The Legend of Shen Li. Do I love it? With all my charred heart. Do I think it's the best drama this year? It's still April. It's hard to say. Are Shen Li and Xing Zhi the best power couple? This shouldn't even be a debate.
Honestly, I didn't even plan to chase this drama while it's ongoing because I binge watching drama is what I enjoy best. However, I was bored. And The Legend of Shen Li's trailer looked interesting. And my heart still needs healing from the mess of an ending that is Princess Agents. I needed closure. So I started watching the drama, and boy oh boy did it drag me down one hell of a roller coaster ride of emotions every single night. (No, I'm not complaining.)
However, before I talk about the things that I really loved about the drama, I have some things to say about the stuff that kind of irked me. Because no drama is perfect (unless it's Nirvana in Fire).
So let me get started on the things that I feel like the drama could've done better.
Musical scoring - the OST's? Chef's kiss. However, they way they're putting music on the scenes are a hit and miss. Most of the time it just distracts me from the scene and I just get bored with the mv-ish scene. I wish cdramas especially custom ones would stop this. I don't need 5 mins of the leads staring at each other in all angles accompanied by a really nice song. I'm here to watch a drama. Although, I kinda did get used to it in the latter episodes (specifically ep35-38) because I definitely needed a minute or two to process the emotions.
The progression of the story - One thing. I'm confused. Not to the point that "I don't understand the plot confusing" but still confusing nonetheless. There was no consistency in the scenes and the dialogues. (Ex fishing village). There was no flow. I feel like someone messed up the storyboard and when they edited the scenes they were also confused. Or maybe this is the issue of the translation of the dialogue? I don't even know. Still, I definitely think this part could've been done better.
The internal monologues - sigh when I said the thing I love most in dramas are their dialogues I don't mean what's happening in The Legend of Shen Li. The characters just talk (or think?) too damn much I can't keep up. They're supposed to be the characters whom their actions should tell the story but the way they're narrating the whole plot to me is just so jarring. Am I watching a drama or listening to an audiobook? Sometimes I can't tell. I wish they'd tone it down but it just got worse with the later episodes.
The camera - this is just me being nitpicky but there are some random camera angles especially the spinning ones that probably is supposed to make the scene dramatic but all it did was make me wanna vomit.
This is not in any way, shape, or form hating on the drama because I genuinely enjoyed it. I've deluded myself into waiting for a Princess Agents S2 but I got a better deal and had Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin to reunite in a new project which is better in my opinion because Princess Agents is a hot mess. There was really no saving that one.
So moving on to the things I like! But like, where do I even start?
First of all, Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin. Chemistry so good, they had to be casted in another drama. Everything about them was just so perfect for the drama and the role. Could not ask for a more perfect casting than them. The 7 year wait was almost worth it.
The WOMEN! - so much room for improvement regarding the characters but I loved that the women were not treated as damsels who always needed saving. I have to say 5 1/2 braincells were working throughout the drama, 2 from Shen Li, 1 from You Lan, 1 from Jin Niang Zi and 1 from Shen Mu Yue (1/2 from Xing Zhi because he's too unbothered if it's not related to Shen Li).
Shen Li - might not be the best female character in cdramaland but I think she can hold her own place. She's stubborn, a bit reckless but she's loyal and righteous. She's a strong woman without being a stereotypical cold and ruthless strong woman. Shen Li is a strong woman at the same time also a mad woman in love. She does not have to be one or the other. The more I write this the more I'm falling in love with her character. You just don't find a character like her. She is Shen Li. A capable general. A strong leader. An empathetic comrade. A respectful student. A woman in love. She is not just one of them but all of them.
Lin Gengxin is pretty believable playing as an ancient god. He has that air around him that screams your highness. He played the lofty and aloof Xing Zhi to perfection.
And what can I even say about Zhao Liying? As always miss ma'am played Shen Li perfectly. Whimsical, stubborn, in love and devasted in love, you can feel all those emotions just watching her eyes.
It has angst but not too much that we as viewers would spend multiple episodes pulling out hair of frustration about the misunderstandings and accidental killings. (Not a shade to any specific drama but just to the xanxia genre in general). It has the perfect balance of angst, romance and comedy. You laugh, cry and giggle all in one episode. The comic relief scenes are naturally funny and doesn't feel forced. Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin's comedic timing are 👌.
The conflict was handled maturely and the confession was direct but still heart fluttering. Throughout the drama, they both got their heads perfectly placed on their shoulders.
The last episode! Let us talk about the last episode because when has a drama provided that kind of fan service just making one whole episode of shenanigans and fluff. After going through the angst, the reward that is the last episode is just too good and definitely worth all the tears.
Also, can we talk about Dong Jie's guest role? I know miss ma'am is good but when I tell you I cried for a minute because of her story arc? Just hands up and mic drop. So so good!
Now that all of these are out of my system, hopefully I can move on to the next obsession, whatever that may be. I'll still probably watch episode 39 on a daily basis though. It's just too enjoyable and it makes my day. Will probably, revisit this "review" in the future and update it because I'm aware that at this point it's not making a lot of sense.
RATING: 9/10 REWATCH VALUE: 10/10 definitely would watch again! ACTING: 10/10 CATEGORY: GUILTY PLEASURE

📚 [sorry I didn't know what book to go with so I picked many haha]
You send multiple books, you get multiple fics! Kinda. See, I really want to read the stories that the people of Gotham come up with about their resident vigilante cryptids—rumors, urban legends, wattpad rpf with dubious content warnings, all of it. I have a whole list of increasingly insane theories about what the batfam’s whole deal even is, but I never got any further than writing the frame story for one of them.
Some highlights from the list include:
Batman is a warlock and Robin is a demon bound to serve him. When ten years are up, Robin gets Batman’s soul.
Batman and Robin live in the sewers and can pop up anywhere in Gotham via manhole covers. They’re always fighting Killer Croc for real estate.
Obligatory vampire theory! Batman is a vampire and Robin is the person he feeds from. If Robin dies, Batman will go into a frenzy of bloodlust and drain half the city dry.
Robin is a trickster spirit who helps Batman out because it’s fun, and because the Joker’s bad sense of humor pisses him off. Batman has to keep him constantly entertained or he’ll run off and join the Riddler.
Cass (in her terrifying void-black costume) is the vengeful shade of the previous Batgirl, who finally clawed her way back from the afterlife and is here to take no prisoners.
Vampire theory v2: This Time With Duke! Everyone’s a creature of night and darkness except Signal, who is the sun incarnate. STRONG teen paranormal romance vibes, heavy-handed metaphors of self-destructive love or something, definitely involves shipping Signal with one or more batkids.
Batman is a professional comedian who got sick of Joker’s bad clowning. Things got out of hand.
Batman & Robin aren’t real. Criminals are making them up.
One of my favorites, though, is the theory that Robin is the ghost of a murdered child, who wants revenge for his murder but, in the meantime, is willing to help Batman make sure no more children end up like him. This would be a story written by one of Dick’s classmates, maybe for English class. Dick reads it and it’s a whole emotional roller coaster ride, especially the scene where Robin’s ghost looks in on his living parents, as he does often to make sure they’re safe, and wishes more than anything that he could hold them and be held by them just one more time.
#dc comics#batfam#finx writes#finx has friends on the internet#these are free to good home btw#anyone wants to write this you have my blessing and my encouragement#you just have to tag me and let me know so I can go read it and squeal in delight

so here’s a k2 au where kyle somehow managed to notice kenny’s deaths, and how i imagine his reaction would be.
first of all, we all know kyle’s saviour complex and his “older brother” behaviour, so i strongly believe he would be shocked by kenny’s immortality and his first intention is simple af – to protect kenny and not let him die anymore. it’s kind of a subconscious thing, but i think kyle would feel guilt for not knowing about kenny’s sufferings, he’d feel like a shitty friend, and would want to restore his reputation by “saving kenny”. he would make it like some sort of his moral obligation.
and that was great at the beginning because kenny is not used to such caring protective treatment, but as the time passed kyle would become more, uh, insistent?
he would have unknowingly deprived kenny of the opportunity to enjoy those crumbs of a happy, calm, free life that he had, because of his overprotection.
he really didn’t mean to discomfort kenny though, but it just. happened?... because kyle is very overprotective and sometimes he can “suffocate” with his care as we can see it from his interactions with ike.
i can literally see a scene where they all went to a potentially dangerous place such as amusement park, and kyle doesn’t want kenny to get hurt so they avoid “dangerous” things.
someone suggests to kyle and kenny to go to the rides, kenny smiles happily and is already running towards the roller coaster, but kyle grabs his hand and pulls him towards the children's carousels instead, saying that the rest is too dangerous,
and kenny is sitting on this children's carousel next to kindergarteners, with a dreary look on his face. he sees stan and cartman, screaming with delight on the adult attractions, and sighs very sadly.
and this happens more and more because kyle is responsible and he doesn’t want to break his promise. and one day kenny just gets so sick of this, like… i see how they can start arguing, because kenny wants to do something dangerous, and kyle holds him back, and kenny just loses his temper (he can get really furious when people are trying to take what gives him joy, as we see in s12e3 “major boobage”).
and kyle also gets angry so he replies smth like: "But look, how long has it been since your last death??? Two months, Kenny!! You’ve never been alive for such a long time in a row! All thanks to my care!" and kenny, who is already freaking out on emotions, says something like "WELL MAYBE DYING WAS MORE FUN THAN HANGING OUT WITH YOU!" and kyle gets so devastated. so he just frowns with a blank look, mumbles quiet “Oh… I see” and leaves.
and then after this, it has been like two or three days already, kenny dies once again, so he remembers how this can hurt. he feels a bit guilty about his words, so he comes up to kyle and they finally have a talk:
kyle: You… you really think I’m hurting you with my protection?
kenny: (Wait, no, I didn’t mean to offend you–)
kyle: But you think so, don’t you?
kenny: (It’s just… I’m used to dying, Kyle, I don’t need this much concern.)
kyle: But I… I know that but, it’s like… when I imagine you being injured or dead… Everything inside me just aches and shrinks, and… I guess I am overreacting, but I just don’t want you to go through something like this any more than needed.
kenny: (Aw :( )
kyle: I’m sorry, Kenny, I didn’t mean to…
kenny: *hugs* (That’s fine.)
and they’re finally fine. at least they’re trying to find this golden middle between protection and recklessness :3
#guys i dont even ship k2#but theyre really like. healing relationship#i have some other k2 headcanons too maybe ill post them later#south park#sp#kyle broflovski#kenny mccormick#sp kenny#sp kyle#sp k2#k2#kenny x kyle

Hooooooooly crap your latest Azul fic is probably the most intense, jaw-dropping roller coaster ride I've ever been on. Like oh my gosh, starting it off with such a suspenseful scene was such a good way of getting the reader's attention- not to mention the spiral as to how it even gets to that point. The in-betweens were so fucking good!
Absolutely obsessed with the way you describe the scenery and the inner turmoil, like it's so poetic and just creates such a delicious imagery!! The fluffiness in the first vow was soooo tooth rottingly sweet- Like holy crap got me giggling and kicking my feet over here. I absolutely adore the way you wrote the mc, especially with how well she was at handling Azul's negativity and self-deprecation at the start. Just the way you're able to make the reader's feel the same way as the mc- I was SEETHING. The amount of times I got so frustrated with Azul- Especially with how he tried to get her to stop working, like dawg, she's doin' it cause she likes it, JUST LET HER HAVE THIS ONE THING
I was so glad when mc called it off when she did, cause ain't no way Azul was talking about some "You don't care for me as much if I'm healthy" LIKE WTF ARE YOU SAYING?? LITERALLY RIPPING MY PILLOW TO SHREDS RN
Aaaaaaa and oh my gosh the way mc just snaps- just says 'fuck it' and just lets everything out was so satisfying yet also so scary cause like- bro's definitely not gonna just accept that. Holy crap the bits of dialogue as he realizes mc was leaving- I can't. I'm not okay. Like the build up?? Like we know what's about to happen, but the way we see his perspective as it's about it happen- My mouth is agape. Eyes bulging out of skull- THAT WAS SUCH A GOOD SCENE!! Actual chills
Ending it on the hospital scene as his mentality just reverts back to how things were before her- Ugh... I can't- I can't function anymore. I have never been gagged so much by fanfic- like the life has been sucked out of me in the best way possible
Definitely will be re-reading, there's no way I could be fine with reading it only once
Such a satisfying conclusion too- like oh my gosh <3
OMG OMG THANK YOU!!!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH AAAAAAAAAAAA (≧◡≦) ♡
I wanted it to feel like a fic that suffocates you with sadness and emptiness while you're reading it, so opening with the aftermath of the murder felt appropriate! It sets such a haunting mood because you don't quite know why Azul did this or what happened for things to turn out this way (until you read the end of the fic), which only makes it more unsettling the further you read.
:D I'm so happy you enjoyed many aspects of the fic, especially the short-lived fluff in the beginning! I think that was my favorite part to write out of everything (although the hospital scene is a close second). Azul and Reader were so genuinely cute together in that scene. T_T if only it could be like that always...
And I'm especially happy you liked the way I wrote the reader's character here!!!! I wanted her to be more in tune with emotions than Azul is because it felt like a nice contrast to the very out-of-control, emotional Azul. She's honestly such a sweetheart who is just trying her best to be genuinely kind and loving despite the situation. Azul is so frustrating here, so the fact that Reader could remain patient and gentle throughout six entire years of their marriage... It felt satisfying to write her finally snapping at him, so I'm glad that was a scene you could enjoy! I liked switching perspectives partway through as the focus strays from the subject of Reader and her bringing up the divorce to Azul's disturbing behaviors as he begins to lose himself to his fears and insecurities. And then he just shuts off and tragedy ensues. >_< it's heartbreaking and scary and so many other unfortunate things!!!
And the hospital scene oooooo yes yes!!!!! Azul's psychology in this fic is so fascinating to me. He really did mean it when he said the reader was his world, so with her no longer in it his entire existence undergoes this drastic shift and suddenly he's not whole. He's lost a vital part of himself, the part that felt loved and appreciated, and so now he's back to floating through life with this lonesome emptiness and self-hatred. Now the world is small and devoid of color. Now it's just monochrome and cold.
Aaaaaaaa I loved writing him in this state of slow, uncertain delirium and the way he panics when the nurses won't answer his questions. I also greatly enjoyed writing him using the phrase "my wife" over and over because Reader is no longer just her own person to him. She's Azul's. His wife. And then there's also the symbolism in Azul killing Reader and knowing that no one else will have her ever again and that, because he got to take her life for himself, it will be no one else's. It's not even Reader's anymore.
Forgive my ramblings!!! I'm just very happy to know you liked the fic and that you will be reading it again!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!! 💖

I'm really loving Frieren not gonna lie, the unmoving face she always does makes the moments where she has a funny face on actually funny. The story is great too, for many times now i found myself turning away from animes that looked like they had interesting premises but just lost me not even halfway through, Frieren got me hooked line and sinker in the opening scenes.
I was scared that the whole show will be a sadness, good vibe sucking, no happiness allowed zone but when i tried it it was simply muah. The characters are incredible, they don't make me go 'ugh i don't like them, why are they here?' they make me actually interested in them, heck they even manage to make me like the characters that only appeared for a few scenes.
The thing i love the most about it is it's slice of life aspect, a few people like to say 'you just need to turn off your brain' when recommending a series, Frieren doesn't do that, it keeps me hooked it keeps me engaged and i can feel my brain relaxing with the chill story that doesn't take me on a roller coaster ride of emotions just because they need to progress the plot.
I love Frieren, it's great. I'm aware i'm rambling but i simply cannot underestimate the happiness i have for finally having a series where i can relax and enjoy.

hey i wanted to ask if you could write a guanyu oneshot. I‘d love something cute and fluffy don’t really care what it’s actually about hehe. Thank u really much💕
A day of joy in attraction park
Pairing: Zhou guanyu x reader
Warning: pure fluff
Request: yes
●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●
In response, Zhou Guanyu, always the gentle soul, let out a soft, heartfelt chuckle. "I wanted to make this day truly special for you," he confessed, setting the tone for the magical adventure ahead. "Let's make every moment count."
Their journey commenced with a thrilling ascent on the classic Ferris wheel. Despite her slight fear of heights, Y/N found solace in Zhou Guanyu's unwavering grip and the soothing words he whispered in her ear as they rose higher and higher. The view from the pinnacle was nothing short of breathtaking, and it culminated in a sweet, lingering kiss as the wheel descended serenely.
Their next adventure was an exhilarating ride on a roller coaster. Initially hesitant, Y/N was gently persuaded by Zhou Guanyu's infectious enthusiasm and unwavering support. As they hurtled down steep drops and raced through dizzying twists and turns, her emotions swayed from fear to exhilaration. The air was filled with their joyful laughter and delighted screams, with Zhou Guanyu's laughter amplifying the excitement, creating a beautiful symphony of happiness.
As the day unfolded, they embarked on a quest to explore every corner of the amusement park. They hopped on the whimsical carousel, tested their skills in carnival games, and indulged in sweet treats like cotton candy and ice cream. When Y/N won a stuffed animal at one of the games, she was pleasantly surprised when Zhou Guanyu insisted on carrying it for her, a touching gesture that emphasized their connection.
The hours slipped away, and they found themselves in the midst of an impromptu water balloon fight, an unexpected moment of joy that added a layer of spontaneity to their day. Y/N couldn't remember the last time she had laughed so freely and experienced such unbridled joy.
In the late afternoon, they stumbled upon a hidden gem within the park – an enchanting garden bursting with vibrant flowers and an air of tranquility. Y/N, captivated by the scene, couldn't resist capturing the moment with a few photographs, and Zhou Guanyu eagerly posed alongside her, further encapsulating their shared happiness.
As the sun began its descent on the horizon, they opted for a brief respite, setting up a cozy picnic beneath the shade of a leafy tree. Y/N had thoughtfully prepared a basket filled with sandwiches, fruit, and their favorite snacks. As the day transitioned into evening, they reveled in each other's company, sharing intimate conversations that touched on myriad topics, both profound and lighthearted.
As the park's lights began to cast a magical glow, Zhou Guanyu arose and extended his hand toward Y/N. "Dance with me," he implored, his gaze reflecting deep tenderness. Y/N accepted his hand, and they swayed gracefully to the soft melodies emanating from a nearby kiosk, lost in the enchanting atmosphere created by the twinkling lights above.
The final chapter of their adventure consisted of a return journey on the giant Ferris wheel, this time bathed in the romantic ambiance of the evening. The city's luminous skyline spread out before them, with the sparkling lights creating a breathtaking backdrop for their shared experience. They held each other close, cherishing this poignant moment.
As they left the amusement park, hand in hand, Y/N felt a profound sense of gratitude for the extraordinary day they had spent together. Turning to Zhou Guanyu, she voiced her appreciation, saying, "Thank you for making today so incredibly special."
Zhou Guanyu smiled affectionately and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. "No, thank you for being the most extraordinary part of my life," he responded. "Every day with you is a treasure."
The day spent at the amusement park became an indelible memory in the lives of Y/N and Zhou Guanyu. It was a testament to the power of love and happiness, underscoring the deep bond they shared and the importance of creating cherished moments in the context of a romantic relationship.

I can’t wait for the next update, although it sounds like it will be a heartbreaking emotional roller coaster ride 😭 Will there also be some fluffy moments to help us cope through it?🥲
Also loved the chracter growth for Joonie and how he went from acting all impulsive to grounding for y/n. Are there going to be more comforting moments of them taking care of y/n?
We havent seen any more scenting recently with the others, has that still been happening or did they no longer need it after the first time when they first moved in?
Sorry for the long ask🥺 I absolutely love your work💕
Oooo it's definitely a heavier chapter thus far (I'm about half way through writing it hehe.) But there are some fluffy domestic moments I have planned for sure, don't you worry! and spice
AH I'm so happy you're loving the growth from Joonie 🥺 I think he's really put in the work to try and assimilate into a more normal, human life. He's gone from sort of being a wildcard, if not an intimidating, person in Y/N's life, to one of quiet reason and protection. It's really sweet to see how much he has given over his trust to her 🥺 Oh yeah definitely SO many more moments of comfort between not only Y/N and Joon, but everyone else.
Ooooooo scenting hehehehe. There may or may not be a scene in the next update! 😉 They do it periodically, I think specific situations trigger it too. I believeeee Seokjin has scented twice, Yoongi three times, and the rest just once so far.
Don't apologize I loved the long ask! Love youuuuu honey 💜💜💜

Hi Carot!
Finally binge played the whole main game and side games (except for T2A2G, which was the first game I played)
I think I had a different emotional journey in OW than most players; I was interested in Orlam from the beginning.
I’m aromantic and don’t enjoy the situation where a love interest already has a hardcore crush on the protagonist (though I could sympathize with Iggy’s struggle about how blurry the line between romantic intimacy and sexual one is for allo/allo people), so a character who’s not involved in the love triangle somehow being a love interest seems interesting for me.
I’m not sure that you were expecting people to find out what exactly happened between Genzo and Orlam (something romantically or/and sexually intimate) before Arc 3, but I could tell there was something more than just a bully and his victim going on between them.
For example, in the BBQ scene where Orlam tried to hint at Genzo's sexuality and the conversation from the first Orlam’s revenge, the combination of dirty jokes and the mention of "after-prom" were so obvious.
I was fully convinced that Genzo didn't just bully Orlam awfully but also broke his heart when fake guilt-tripping Genzo in Kiddie Kruise mentioned that Orlam helped him after the loss of his sight. Why would a victim help a powerless bully? Orlam’s body sitting on a bed instead of lying is a dead giveaway (pun intended).
After the disappearance of Genzo in Arc 3, I thought Iggy would find out Orlam turned out to be a monster and was going to cry, so the choices caught me off guard. Choosing a man whose heart was broken by your friend over the forementioned friend who has a crush on you? SIGN ME UP ALREADY. (Don’t get me wrong, I like Genzou, but I'm here for THE INTENSE GAY DRAMA) (I’m also here for THE COMPLICATED TRIC TRANSMASC DRAMA) (but they once caught my eye PHYSICALLY and tried to pop it out MY EYEBALLS WANT TO STAY IN THEIR SOCKETS COMFY HELLO???????)
The emotional roller coaster ride of the end of Arc 3 was WILD, and his relationship with Iggy was also a good surprise, so when I reached Arc 5.15, seeing he's suffering from something I would never experience was really painful.
Whe I played Save the Last Dance, I figured out the way to get End 2 out by the hint (the player should gain points) and Orlam’s personality; he loves being in a dominant position and fears betrayal.
The game makes you trick him to get the wrong hope that Genzo will choose him over Iggy and stab him in the back (figurative language) (technically he stabbed him in the front this time). That's exactly what he did to him on the after-prom.
Now we know Arc 2 Genzo was not a ordinary person who was traumatized by the experience of killing someone he knew from his childhood; he killed someone who's happy in his last second of life because the man who once broke his heart cried for him.
Their fucked up relationship is one of my favorite parts of the game, and I'm also happy for the sidegame version of Orlam, who is no longer suffering from his feelings (we could see he's still bitter about Genzo, but as long as they're not trying to kill each other literally, I’ll take that as a win).
BINGED, MY GOD that must have taken so long I feel hghgjgy even aside from the long main game playing all the side games would take a while too 🤣💦 I am both impressed and honored that you'd play through everything like that LOL
and I'm very happy you like Orlam!! Orlam is such an interesting character for me personally just from a reception point of view as he's gone from a char no one seemed to like to the most popular char of the entire game... (and often with such intensity that I feel a tad overwhelmed at times jjgjfhg 💦). but I do find his story in general to also be one of the most interesting and he's easily the one I've always had the most fun writing and his scenes are always some of my favorites LOL there's a reason I spent so freaking long making sure the climax of his character arc, so to speak, in 5.15 was the best i could absolutely do 🥺
I don't really talk about the whole Genzou and Orlam thing outside of the game itself much. for one, because it's one of the many things I kinda would rather leave open to interpretation and for people to take away whatever they want from it (similar to some of the other stuff i don't go into detail much, such as some specific moments of all of their pasts, some of the chars' reasons for doing things, etc). and for another, because I don't really wanna romanticize it at all (and honestly feel uncomfortable if I see ppl doing so) so I mostly just avoid it in general jghgjgh to me they are awful for each other in every way, which is why I love how tragic and awful the whole thing is, but I don't like pushing it more than that LOL I do enjoy their dynamic in the AU-ish side games though as in those games I tend to head canon most of the Most Awful things as not having happened so they're not as toxic but they still clash horrendously which just makes for funny banter
I'm very happy you enjoy their tragedy and drama though dhdhdh sob this whole game is just pure convoluted drama laced with a bit of horrible death and a few bad jokes I swear 🤣💦 and tbh it grew more convoluted as production went on because both arcs 3 and 4 turned out a lot different from how I'd planned (4 especially). I still think 4 might be my favorite of all the arcs just because of how serendipitously I feel it all came together and also how much it broke my heart... though arc 5 once it's fully finished might take its place just because I love how it brings all the chars' arcs to their heights (and also I think the production value is the best LOL). Arc 3 though was where the game finally started to get a bit of traction (and also took such a huge turn) so I've always been fond of it, too
I feel like I might have gotten off track with this answer though that might be due to the aforementioned bit about me generally avoiding talking about those two too much so I instinctively veered LOL but I really am glad that you've enjoyed the game and its chars and all its tragic horrible drama so much!! 😭💦 And also thank you for taking the time to write out such a long and thoughtful message!! 💕

I've Missed Loving Taiwan Dramas
Not gonna lie, I watched Oh No! Here Comes Trouble for the two main male leads, that 'it's not BL but the bromance is strong' bit. I began the drama right as the final episode dropped and I really did not have high hopes for it (I haven't had high hopes in Taiwan dramas in recent years). As I literally picked this drama up only for the reason I mentioned earlier, I had no idea what I was getting into. Yes, I knew it had supernatural elements but that was all.
So imagine my delighted surprise when I was placed on one of the most emotional roller coaster ride throughout all 12 episodes of Oh No! Here Comes Trouble. I can be creeped out one second and laughing at the next second. Or, I could be laughing and tearing up sadly at the same time. Dramas that can bring me on such a wild emotional journey have a very special place in my heart, they automatically become better in my eyes because the mood/energy/vibe is not stagnant.
It isn't just the writing that wowed me. I have watched plenty of dramas or TV shows with similar concept like portraying sub-stories as the plot-catalyst for the show as a whole. The stories in Oh No! Here Comes Trouble are not earth-shattering nor gut wrenching or the best lessons one will learn. They touch on obsession and very often, the media does not focus on this side of obsession so despite the simplicity, the stories were beautifully crafted and executed.
Of course, I cannot write this review and not talk about the acting. We all know Tseng Jing Hua and Vivian Sung's (though she has only taken very average roles for now) acting is top tier so I am not going to go on about them. As a matter of fact, the entire cast consisted of familiar veteran faces, obviously the acting would be good. It was Peng Cian You that really pulled me into the drama. All three main leads perfectly portrayed their characters but because I did not know Peng initially, his performance stunned me so much especially during the CPR scene – that was not an actor playing the role of Cao Guang Yan, it was Guang Yan embodying Peng completely.
I grew up watching Taiwan dramas and for years now, I haven't had hope for them at all. Sure, I still give some a chance but I was always disappointed. Watching Oh No! Here Comes Trouble gives me hope for future Taiwan dramas but I'm a realist so I know one show will not save the whole country's industry. It's just, if you know how Taiwan drama humour was like 15 to 20 years ago, you will be able to see it in this drama. Oh No! Here Comes Trouble is not exactly nostalgic but it can bring on a new wave and I am here for it.
P.S.: Season 2 when?

Jen Tortures Herself With Every Dreamworks Animated Movie Ever: How to Train Your Dragon 2
(*screams in insanely high frequencies*) HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 IS ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS DREAMWORKS HAS EVER MADE AND SOMEHOW EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST AND I AM IN SHAMBLES EMOTIONALLY AFTER WATCHING IT BUT I NEED YA'LL TO LISTEN TO ME AS I SCREAM ABOUT HOW IMPORTANT THIS FILM IS TO ME OK?
Woo, ok, calming down a bit. But can you really blame my excitement? How to Train Your Dragon 2 is just... so damn good, it is so damn good ya'll. It takes everything the first movie did, the characters, the story, the animation, the music, and just... perfects it. It is an utterly fantastic ride from beginning to end and it is one of the main factors as to why I am so utterly head over heels for this franchise (well, it and Race to the Edge, again go watch it, its good).
We return to Berk five years after the first movie, with Hiccup under pressure from his father to take on the mantle of chief. However, danger soon arrives in the form of Drago Bludvist, who is amassing a dragon army. While searching for Drago to try and reason with him, Hiccup reunites with his estranged mother, Valka, who, much like him, has a deep affinity and respect for all dragons. From there, well, damn a bunch of stuff happens, in a story that just flows so well and just... slams you with so many emotions, from sheer joy and wonder to crushing despair and grief. It's a roller coaster, to say the least, one that is utterly captivating and at times, utterly heartbreaking. And I adore every last second of it.
Our returning characters are all fantastic, as usual. I especially love the arc Hiccup goes through here, because while the first movie was in ways, a coming of age story for him, this one truly is, with him struggling to figure out who he really is and who he's meant to be. It's a beautiful narrative about responsibility and leadership, one that Hiccup and Toothless experience together in such a beautiful, parallel way. As for our new cast, we have Valka (who I'm in love with btw) and she's just delightful. The way we get to see her bond with Hiccup and rekindle her relationship with Stoick is absolutely beautiful (AT LEAST UNTIL THE DAMN MOVIE TEARS THIS BEAUTIFUL FAMILY APART WHY CANT THEY HAVE ANYTHING NICE FUCK).
However, I do have to say that the weakest link in both this movie, as well as the next installment in this series... is its villain. The first movie didn't have much in the way of an antagonist, and I think it worked well in its favor. Because HTTYD antagonists... are kind of mid to lame. Drago Bludvist is certainly on the more mid side; he's just... ya know, a bad guy. He isn't really a compelling foil to Hiccup, just some crazy guy who wants to use dragons to conquer people and uses violence to get his way. He's not especially interesting, despite his rather cool design. He's just... there.
But that one minor point aside, everything else about this movie is utterly fantastic. The animation is somehow even more stunning than the first, with so many new dragon designs to see and an even wider world to explore. The flying and fight scenes are so mezmerising to watch, and the music FUCKING GOD don't get me started on this score. It is utterly HEAVENLY, just like the first movie's (also For the Dancing and the Dreaming has me in shambles, I'm still crying, don't look at me). What kind of insane magic Dreamworks used to make this movie look and sound as good as it does? The world may never know.
So yeah, this movie clearly has a major soft spot in my heart. I watched it when it first came out in theaters and absolutely loved it then, just like I do now. Every time I review it, I fall more in love, especially now that I've seen the tie in shows, I can appreciate how they led up to this movie and what details were thrown in that to make them serve as something of a prologue to 2.
As for the movie itself, its such a masterful work of art, one that I'll gladly return to over and over again. Aside from Prince of Egypt, it's probably my second favorite Dreamworks movie overall. And considering some of the other contenders on this list, that's saying something. I love it to pieces, always have, always will. It's wonderful.
Overall Rating: 10/10
Verdict: Hiccup's Mom has got it going on

Aww positivity night is my favorite, 🥹! For the positivity Friday I want to send some love to some of my favorite authors and people here💞:
@roosterforme :
- Even though I have already said it many times I will repeat it forever, I really like her ability to insert small details into her stories and continue to use them throughout the rest of the story. I also love the care she takes in describing scenes that apparently seem normal and yet she manages to transform them into wonderful ones by adding small actions or gestures that make them unique. Without forgetting her skill in characterizing the characters, who are written so well that you fall in love with them from the first words and the precision she puts into writing about Bradley, differently depending on the series but always in a way that is impossible do not fall in love with him. I literally love her entire masterlist, Is It Working For You and the entire Bradley and BG universe was the first series I read by her and it has a special place in my heart, I love reading it and rereading it. She is truly amazing!
@bradshawsbaby :
- I've said it plenty of times about her too, but her skill in transporting the reader precisely to the place where the story is taking place always leaves me speechless. The precision with which she takes care of every detail of the environment is truly special and fascinates me every time. Si Vis Amari Ama is the series thanks to which I discovered her blog and I am madly in love with it. One thing I really appreciate about this series is the fact that she included phrases or words in Latin, this once again confirms the passion and care that she put into her works. As well as it is written, every time I'm in Rome I feel like I've been catapulted into the series! I also find her talent in making the relationships between characters real and her artistic sense when she makes mood boards incredible.
@beyondthesefourwalls :
- The first series of her that I read was Remember you even when I don't and I read it in one go because it had captivated me from the beginning. Her ability to write and make you feel the emotions of the characters is fantastic. I love how in her stories it's like riding a roller coaster for everything you feel and I love even more how in many of her stories she talks and underlines how certain loves never end, no matter what they have to face, they often go through immense turns and then return. This love came back to me is the perfect proof, which made me shed more than one tear and which I loved immensely.
@notroosterbradshaw :
- I madly loved her series The boyfriend experience, the slow burn that occurred between the characters, how they understood that they had feelings for each other and how they let themselves go and got together. I love how she can write about happy feelings as well as sadder feelings. With Slow Dancing in a Burning Room my heart is strained with every chapter, but I can't help but read the series because of how well it is written and how real the situations and conversations between the various characters are.
@mamachasesmayhem
- I recently discovered her Honey and Jake universe and fell in love with it after reading the first few lines. I love her ability to create stories not only by writing them beautifully but also by building the entire outline. With the presentation of the various main characters, inserting photos of them as she imagined them, writing their background and their nicknames. Not to mention the various mood boards that she creates and the various digital Daggers that always manage to make me smile and are so carefully done.
@sailor-aviator :
- And last but not least, you! I discovered your blog by chance while seeing the Fool’s Fare prologue. And inside I thought "wow a series about pirates with Jake as the protagonist must be interesting" so I read the prologue and to say that it literally enchanted me would be an understatement. I love your skill in describing the entrances and introductions of the characters as well as how you manage to bring the reader even further into the story thanks to the drabbles you write, making known various details and different points of view, and also thanks to the research that you do and share about clothes or jewels, to name a few, that you then talk about in the story. As I already told you, right now I'm literally obsessed with your new series Stranger like me, I love the idea and how you're developing it is really beautiful!
You are all extremely talented, sweet and kind! Reading your stories and interacting with you is always a pleasure! I truly appreciate the passion, love and time you all dedicate to your work and for this I can never thank you enough! 💌🫶🏼✨
Fabiola, I don’t think positivity night would be complete without giving you a shoutout too! I love reading every comment you leave on my works, and it makes my day so much brighter!! Thank you for reading everything and taking the time to leave the comments that you do!!
