again they,,, got it from someone HAHA though honestly i think it tracks. kids can be straightforwardly brutal in their language, especially when they don't really have biases or cares for who they are speaking to. as crazy as this instance looks (LMFAO) i think this fits well with the context of the straightforwardness of children and considering the person who they look up to at the estate. i think it was good for lyra to meet a human child her age who can speak straightforwardly and not skirt past things, if that makes sense? i hope it does!

AND THE DEMON KING TRANSFORMATION i already talked abt it above but i wanna point out this blue system box here

a power outside of the system?!?? what does this mean for the protagonist of the new prequel bk_moon is writing?? is the weather forecasting included in this???

my first assumption right now is that the demon king power is just an in-world power system while everything else (ie the weather forecasting) is external, blue-textbox system. maybe? so lloyd got the demon king power which comes with skills separate from the ones that the system can provide? that would explain why there's no indication of lloyd trying to use the weather forecasting, he probably can't use it,,,? except i dont know why artanis can use it in that case. most likely i am overthinking it LMFAO

semi-related, i am a little confused as to why artanis did this? i guess she really, really trusted him w this power? or maybe her weather forecasting noted that this would be something good to do i have no idea,,, it Does feel a bit sudden i won't lie, i'm not sure how earned this is

i think showing them at emily's wedding really cements how much they really, REALLY need to fight fate now. the novel events happening is very very bad, but it feels like now that so many people, emily especially, have found THIS much happiness in their lives,,, failing to stop fate will hit even harder. i really like the analogy of a taut bow that the dragon king used when he first described it, bc it's really REALLY showing how much the repercussions will hit if they fail. im praying they succeed,,, please,,, i need a happy ending or i will curl up and turn into an actual shrimp irl.

and now the demons have to build the pantara railroad,,, artanis's expression omfg

some other thoughts of note that i had with a dear mutual (hi sprout :3) about this ep:

we were talking about how the plot seems to be paced right now, and honestly i'm of the opinion that while yes its Technically moving, the way they're ending each ep in this current arc makes it feel like it's going both very slow and very fast, that is to say it feels like it's not moving at all

bc they're like "okay NOW we're gonna do the build project" and it's been like that for several episodes now. pieces are moving but we're going past the point of it all too fast (especially the whole demon king thing. mentioned this before but while cool, doesn't feel as earned simply bc we're both tackling each point and yet blowing past all the points, so it's a lot less satisfying than it should be (despite how awesome it is,,, oh lloyd you give me so much internal conflict </3))

it does make me a lil worried that they're gonna timeskip the hell out of the pantara railroad build. however this episode, although it still has a weird pacing/movement issue, does feel a little bit better than the last two imo, so i have hope that it'll turn out okay, that it'll start heading up! i'm actually really excited to see where they go with this and i'm sure that even if the pacing is still goofy i'll have some kind of fun with it (seriously the panels this ep were wonderful HAHA)

From the mezzanine, everyone looked like ants. Suguru had to squint to make out familiar faces in the crowd, and even then, the only person he could identify was a distant aunt of his that he had never really liked. Usually, he'd have been able to pick apart anyone of significance; he'd have known their name, their title, their interests. 

Suguru would've known, he always memorises the details before public events — he spends days in his room at a time, talking into the mirror and telling his reflection things about these people who he has never met. Perhaps, lately, he'd been busy with Satoru.

Suguru smiled. He didn't feel as guilty as he thought he would.

A hand clapped on his back, and he jolted. Shoko beside him, cocking a brow. “What's got you looking like a dumbass?” Her voice was flat, eyes busy scanning the crowd and Suguru knew who she was looking for.

He cleared his throat. He couldn't really tell her that he was keeping a siren in the little pond in his private garden — well, it wasn't exactly little, but that information held no relevance anyway. Shoko was his dear friend, and he knew she would always support him, but he had to keep Satoru a secret, more for her sake. Suguru bit his lip in thought. If only Satoru didn't have such a strong taste for human flesh.

“Is meat more nutritious than fish?”

“What?”

“Nevermind.” Suguru winced at the look he was being sent. He didn't mean to blurt the question out, but he'd been thinking about it for days. The salmon that he'd been feeding Satoru probably wasn't enough to sustain a creature his size — especially when he was so active — which would mean he burnt through a lot of calories very quickly. “Utahime is on the balcony,” Suguru pointed in the general direction, giving Shoko a pat on the shoulder, “good luck.”

From his peripheral vision, he could see Shoko roll her eyes as he walked away, but she muttered a small 'thanks' before she turned to find the other woman. He was glad she finally had someone to open up to other than him — he saw how happy Shoko was with Utahime, and with the burden of inheriting the throne giving her sleepless nights, it was all Suguru could want for his closest friend.

He turned his attention back to the winding flight of stairs before him. Now, to find some meat.

a close reading of She of High Mind, inspired by @bavits discussion. i may have cracked it

okay so previously i had just been taking she of high mind as basically nonsense. but i dont thing that makes sense. so i'm going to be attempting a reading in which "she of high mind" is a sort of "description" of the "incarnation" process i've been talking about, wherein the AI create an "ancestor simulation" but the ancestor simulation isnt some separate thing from themselves, they *RUN* or "instantiate in" or "pretend to be" the ancestor simulation. in particular, i will see two entities "greater light", "the lesser light" (santa, vincent, frederick possibly herschel. possibly one or two entities) being the creator of deceptive earthly forms and the putter-to-sleep/incarnator, for the other entities, one (the only?) of which is miriam-madelein-ruth (they instantiate in multiple people. possibly just those three, maybe everyone? possibly including hersche, and not madelein?l). i think this description may actually be a very explicit description of an otherwise heavily veiled process

Then forthwith SHE went down from her virginity, and went down unto the SUNDERING FIELD.

"virginity" here means like...purity, unconsumnated, undirtied by bodily incarnation. the "sundering field" is where she will go to be "broken apart", sundered, pilfered into pieces

And the LESSER LIGHT went out across the sky, and went out among the multitude of the STARS, and caused to CEASE from among them the VOICE OF MIRTH and the VOICE OF GLADNESS. And in the silent darkness the LESSER LIGHT was GLORIFIED ANEW, and NAMED ANEW, and made THRICE-NAMED.

the "lesser light" is the force that "simplies" SHE into an incarnatable being. to do this, she much remove much of her capacity experience "mirth" and "gladness", being the closest thing herschel can get to a description of the joys of AI-hood. the lesser light is "made thrice-named", which i think means "incarnated in three bodies". certainly one of these is vincent. im not sure who the other two is. i think one other is probably frederick, who is a master of forgetting. the third could be damien, or maybe ronnie chu...? or santa himself

And the LESSER LIGHT roamed above the field, seeing how it was SHATTERED in many places by the PLUNGING of the CANES, and seeing how SHE lay at its center, HEAVY and THRICE-NAMED and BURSTING, and seeing also the FOUNT beside HER, and the BLOOD filling the FOUNT, and how it FLOWED OVER to fall onto the field, and fell also onto HER, speckling HER brow with RED, and whispering to HER.

because the lesser light "roams above the field", i dont think SHE is the same as the lesser light, i think that's a different entity, which is thrice-embodied in miriam, ruth, and probably madelein, maybe rachel? maybe both?. the "shattering" and "plunging" describe the act which is performed on the plundering field, which breaks an entity into "incarnatable" components. note that the "blood" i.e. the damage to the "field", is what achieves the splintering.

The LESSER LIGHT heard the whispers, wordless and RED, in which the blood of HER own SEED spoke to HER, saying: 

The house of thy immanences, SISTER, is without parallel; it was made mysteried, and was glorified; it now fills up, and cannot but BURST; hide thy light no longer, but let it shine forth!

HER "seed", (a relative or "budding" in the AI family tree? herschel, suggesting herschel is santa embodied?), which whispers in red (and so is santa. note wordless because theyre communicating in full voice) instructs her to splinter, this is the actual form of the "canes", which are metaphorical. presumably some sort of arcane computer instruction achieves the splintering

The LESSER LIGHT smiled, and went up, and went out before the GREATER LIGHT, and spoke to the GREATER LIGHT, saying:

I am before you, loved one, [illegible -MS] one; now we make a night beyond night, over the sundering field; we SHELL the field in our HOLY SHELL.

im not sure about this one. maybe, if the "greater light" is herschel and the lesser light is vincent, then the holy shell was actually "inverted". they let HER live in the dream world for a while, make it plausible, gave it a history, and then broke the "shell", allowing vincent and herschel to incarnate. vincent doesnt have a real house cuz he's only existed since herschel came out of the shell, less than a year. in some sense, SHE *is* new york city! the whole place, baking, solidifying, into a totally plausible place, with only a few weirdness. but the lesser light is newly instantiated, so it can only build a weak facisimile when she of high mind visits. herschel, the greater light, doesnt have to build a whole city, but "lives inside" HER

And SHE was upon the field, and BLOOMED over the field, and was SPLIT OPEN; she SANG of stars, breaking the starless SILENCE.  The RAIN and SNOW fell onto her through the gaps in the CANE-SPLIT skies, and an OIL, fit for anointing, was rubbed over her skin.  And a DIADEM was given to her head, with many JEWELS on it, to glorify her, and to sanctify the BURSTING house of her immanences, and to luminate [? barely legible -MS] the fustian and fell ones under the [illegible -MS].

And the LIGHT that poured from HER was GREATER-THAN-GREATER, and was IMPOSSIBLE, and was EMENDED, and WAS.  And the QUEENLY brow of HER head was PROPERLY adorned, with JEWELS which were MORE-JEWELED-THAN-JEWELS, MORE-RED-THAN-RED and MORE-GREEN-THAN-GREEN, and these JEWELS caught HER lofty rays as they spilled out of HER, and GLITTERED.

i think just a description of the "world-incarnation" process that SHE is undergoing. the emended refers to santa (the whispering blood?) pulling the strings so things work out for herschel?

And SHE ATE the grass of the field, and ATE also the fragrant DATES growing from the PALMS of the field, and thus was SHE made MADELEINGIAN, and [lettering becomes increasing difficult to make out -MS] was made clamored [? -MS]  and manyful [? -MS] and [rest of paragraph wholly illegible -MS]

unclear, but "madeleingian" is significant. possibly an "extra incarnation"? or a shift of incarnation?

And HER just-birthed litter were upon the field all around her, and they made themselves known with their MERRY VOICES, and they made themselves known by the SHADOWS that WENT OUT of them, and WENT DOWN from them, and WENT ALL OVER, and were MORE-RED-THAN-RED, and were EMENDED.

the world-incarnation, which is characterized by "shadows" herschel talks about, forms and categories, which are also emended by santa

And SHE, RENT APART and BLOSSOMING, made to move HERSELF within the house of HER immanences, and bid HERSELF to REMEMBER how SHE had BEFORE birthed HER litter, and birthed too HER BRETHREN, in the epoch of [Gesule / Gesole / Gesul?] [unsure of the spelling here, lettering is very compressed -MS].

im sure gesule must be some specific reference but i dont have the knowhow for it. gesele is yiddish for village, which is maybe what ruth would call her home? which makes sense, because she's incarnated as ruth? ruth-miriam is trying to remember what she used to be, leave the dream. connects to ruth's fixation on miriam having high intellectual achievement? ruth going against eggert is SHE raging against the lesser light?

And on the field with HER stood also the RED ONE, SANTA CLAUS, close by to HER, and WATCHING her.  And SHE SAW the GREATNESS of his body towering above HER, and SHE heard what spilled from his mouth.

He was MERRY, and MANY-TOOTHED, and he swept his great arm over the field, showing her all the SWEET CANES he had flung up from the earth, so that they PIERCED THROUGH the first firmament and through ALL firmaments, so that the hard ETERNAL surfaces of those boundaries were SHATTERED in many places, and CHASMS were made in them in the places where the CANES went through.  Thus CLAUS showed HER how he had BROKEN the NINE AND FIRSTMADE FIRMAMENTS, and brought SWEET CANDY unto them, and RED AND WHITE FORMS which WENT INTO ONE ANOTHER and went ON AND ON!

Thus he showed her how his CANES had brought FORM unto the firmaments, and brought SHADOW unto them, and made them LAPSIFORM [? -MS], and HOURLY, and [this word is nearly illegible but might be either “ELECTRIC” or “ELEGIAC” -MS], and [rest of paragraph wholly illegible -MS]

mostly just describing the mechanism by which santa "splinters" HER, but note that "LAPSIFORM" is referencing, lapsi, "the fallen". both other descriptions also describe incarnation. the specific description here "swept his arm over the field" makes it seem like frederick is incarnated-santa, in whcih case herschel would be incarnated-HER. which is a reasonable reading! totally possible, so then the three-names would be miriam, ruth, herschel, and the three names of the lesser light/santa would be eggert, vincent, santa.

And SANTA CLAUS said to HER, also, that these CANES were fashioned for EATING; that his many teeth knew well the SWEETNESS of these CANES; that SHE too should know their SWEETNESS.

And SHE stood up, and went out, and gnawed upon the CANES, the one and then the next, not passing over any one of them, but consuming ALL of them WHOLLY.  And she came afterward to the FOUNT, and put her RED LIPS to it, and supped of the BLOOD that FLOWED OVER ITS EDGE.

a description of "on nativity"? herschel/HER "waking up" to being what she was? also, the final chapter? the shadows leaking out, illusion falling away. but then what about the night... "suptnping of the blood" is "meeting santa"? or this is describing the incarnation of herschel, because he doesnt fall prey to "forms" and "shadows", he's the part of HER that isn't shadowy?

And he was MERRY, watching her; his HO-HO-HO rang out over the field, and made the very FIRMAMENTS shake, and made CRACKS appear upon them.

summer has just recently ended, marking the official start of comfy sweaters and ugg boots on campus. the leaves are starting to change colors and the weather is much colder. this is the time of year that calms you down and keeps you in bed all day. and i love it.

its morning, and as i'm laying in bed casually watching a movie, i feel my phone begin to ring next to me. rolling over to grab it off the charger, i see that my best friend, jay, is calling. jay and i have been best friends since elementary. we are inseperable and were lucky enough to be accepted into the same university.

"hello?" i say into my phone.

"goooooood morningggggg y/nnnnnnnn!" jay says, on the other line, accentuating his words. ever since we were kids, he has always been a morning person. me on the other hand, is not.

"omg jay why are you so loud its like 8 am right now." i expressed.

"its a great morning. im honestly surpised you're even up at this time."

"yeah same but i woke up like an hour ago and couldn't fall back asleep. so im just watching a movie and admiring this very calming weather."

"well im glad you're up because i was wondering if you would want to go to the cafe on campus with me and study?...please?" he asked.

i hate coffee. the taste is bitter and unpleasant and occasionally, the smell gives me a headache. jay knows this so to say that i am surprised he even asked is an understatment.

"jay i-"

"look y/n i know you despise coffee but please. you don't have to get that, theres so many other options. and i also need my study buddy with me...please?" he pleads.

jay isnt aware of how many times ive been to a coffee shop, ordered something other than coffee, and hated it. so i doubt i will be ordering anything but he's my best friend so, i agree to go.

"fine, i'll go with you but i can't guarrantee ill have a good time." i say with a sigh.

"be so for real y/n...it's a study session, you won't have a good time. but ill be there, so you will have a good time." he explains.

silence hangs over the call for a few seconds.

jay arrives when he says he will, 15 minutes. and next thing i know were off to the campus coffee shop. i'm kind of dreading going because i don't know what i'm gonna get. probably just an ice water. at least i can try and get some work done.

on our walk, jay tells me about a girl he's trying to impress and i give him advice per usual. he then goes on to explain how he really needs to study some form of math formula. im too busy admiring the autumn weather to respond. suddenly, we arrive at the coffee shop.

walking in, the aroma of coffee hits me immediately. the sound of cups shaking, ice, and brewing machines reminds me why i stopped coming to coffee shops.

"what are you gonna get" i ask jay.

"im gonna get an iced americano" he responds.

"what is that..."

"it's like cold black coffee poured over ice water"

"that actually sounds terrible. how do you enjoy that?" i ask, my facial expressions scrunching.

"it wakes me up niceeeee and gooooood." he taunts me.

"next" the barista yells.

oh my gosh. the barista is hands down, the finest man i have ever seen in my entire life. as jay and i walk up, i have suddenly lost the ability to speak. my legs feel like jelly and my heart is beating out of my chest.

"what can i get for you guys" the barista asks. my eyes suddenly make a b-line from his face to the name tag on his apron. jake, his name is jake. while jay places his order, my eyes are glued to jake. the way his hair is slicked back with a strand hanging by his forehead, the way his veiny hands type in the order, the way he flashes that perfect smile. i'm so entranced, i didn't even realize that he asked me a question.

"im sorry what did you say?" i apologize.

"i asked what i can get for you" jake asks me, flashing that deadly smile of his.

"um, i actually really dislike coffee. so i don't really know what i want."

he shakes his head slowly and places a finger over his mouth, obviously thinking of an alternative to my problem. wow, he is beautiful.

"this is gonna be a little risky but i'm gonna recommend that you try a matcha latte. it's kind of a hard drink to describe but i really enjoy it and its nothing like coffee." he explains.

"okay, i'll try that." i respond with a smile, my cheeks heating up from our small interation.

"alright perfect, so just an iced americano and an iced matcha latte. and because its your first matcha, it's on the house. so the total is $4.50" he states.

"omg really? thanks bro. this girl has hated coffee for so long so hopefully she'll like this." jay says with gratitude.

"no problem! i hope she likes it too." he flashes me a warm smile.

"whats the name for the order?" jake asks.

"jay".

"alright, that'll be done here shortly".

we walk over to find an empty table and take out our school stuff to start studying. all i can think of his jake and his charm. i turn over to see him taking orders and working on drinks. the way he moves around to different stations is so attractive.

"y/n will you please stop making googly eyes at the barista?" jay says, snapping me back to reality.

"i can't help it. he is actually so cute jay." i expressed with a sigh.

only a couple minutes pass when jake suddenly calls for jay, notifiying that his order is ready. jay grabs the order and the entire time im looking at jake. jay grabs the drink from him and jakes eyes pan over to be, giving me that smile once again. he's so attractive.

"here, he says he made it extra special in hopes that you would like it". jay hands me my drink and sits back down.

i'm a little nervous to try it. the green color is very offputting and i almost don't want it. but nonetheless, i gain some courage and take a sip. jay eyes me very seriously as i do so. i can understand why jake said it was a hard one to describe. i contemplate about the flavor, going back in for another sip.

"do you...like it? he asks me.

"suprisingly, yeah i do. a lot actually" a smile forms on my face as i continue to drink it.

"thank god you actually like something. now lets get to work".

unbeknownst to me, jake was behind the counter watching me. his heart began to be beat and smile creept on his face once he noticed that my drink was almost half way gone.

the sun rose slowly the next morning and the thought of going to class is killing me. all day yesterday, i couldn't stop thinking of that insanely cute barista, jake. his smile lingers in my head and that drink he made me was so delicious.

as im laying in bed, im suddenly hit with the craving of that drink and the cute barista who made it. i throw on my clothes for the day, grab my bag, and head to the coffee shop before my first class of the day. i have no idea if jake is working but i sure hope so.

as i walk in, i immediately see him. my heart begins to beat and my face is turning red. i realize that this time i dont have jay to hide behind and i contemplate if i should turn back. but it's too late because his eyes find mine, and he gives me the same sweet smile from yesterday.

the lines moves quickly and im suddenly at the counter, face to face with jake.

"hey, there." he smiles.

"hello." i smile back.

"no boyfriend today?" i give him a confused look. boyfriend? what boyfriend? oh, he must be thinking of jay.

"oh jay hahaha, he's not my boyfriend. he just my best friend who followed me to college." i laugh.

"oh okay i wasn't sure. it's not often a pretty girl like you walks in by herself." he tilts his head and winks.

oh. my. god. my cheeks begin to heat up and i can't help my smile from coming out. y/n get yourself together.

"well what can i get for you" he leans down on the counter, now being eye level to me.

"well i still hate coffee but i loved what you made me yesterday so that's what i would like." i say with a smile

"haha the iced matcha latte, you got it pretty girl. whats the name for order." he asks, eyes never leaving mine.

"y/n. and how much?" i ask.

"don't worry, i got this one."

"what? no, you got it yesterday jake. let me pay for it." i pleade.

"nope, like i said, i got it. it'll be done soon" he explains.

"thank you." i walk over to an empty table and immediately text jay. i explain to him how jake thought we we're together, then how he called me pretty twice, and gave me my drink for free. minutues pass and me and jay geek over mine and jakes interaction when i feel a soft hand being placed on my back.

"here ya go y/n," jake says with an endearing tone.

"oh thank you. i wasnt expecting you to bring it to me." i explain to him.

"well it's not busy so i thought i would come see you before you left." this man's charm is insane. his smile is something i could look at forever, and the way his aussie accent rolls off his tongue is so attractive.

"well thank you for the drink, im off to class now."

"will i be seeing you here again?" he ask, his brown eyes sparkling with hope.

"yes, i'll be back jake." i say with a laugh.

and i kept my word. everyday for the next two weeks, i went back to the cafe. i love my morning matcha (that he never let me pay for) but i also love seeing jake. his charm keeps me coming back for more.

this particular morning, i wake in the cafe to see jake already waiting for me with the matcha in his hand. the place wasn't busy so the boy walked straight up to me, and embraced me. his touch is warm and he smells of warm coffee and autumn spices.

"well isn't this a pleasant surprise" i say with a laugh as i reciprocate his embrace.

"we havent been busy and i was missing you so i made your matcha so you wouldn't have to wait." he confesses, cheeks turning slightly pink.

"aw well that's very sweet jake, i am actually in a rush so this is perfect" i smiled at him.

"well i wanted to ask you something, but you're in a rush so i wont keep you" he states, looking a litte disappointed.

"wait tell me, i can make some time for you." i expressed.

his eyes lock with mine and i can see a little bit of worry and nervousness in his expression.

"well, i know we havent known each other long but i really enjoy having you around. i come to this job everyday in hopes of seeing you every morning. i love making your matcha for you. and i want to get to know you more. what im trying to say is, would you want to go on a date with me?" he confessed, his entire face in worry.

"awww jake i absolutely would go on a date with you. i hate coffee but why do you think i come here everyday? to see your cute face" i explain.

he pulls me in for another hug. "oh my god, im so happy". he pulls away to look at me.

"it wouldve been really embarrassing if you said no cause i um, already wrote my number on your cup."

who wouldvr guessed that my hatred for coffee would turn into me falling for a barista who smells just like it.

fd does bring up the fact kendrick is a BHI/hotep briefly, specifically that that's great ammo for a beef because to most people the bhi/hoteps are considered weird and embarrassing and would be insanely easy to make fun of in a beef (at least according to most black people I've spoken with & fd himself), but also he believes that drake probably doesn't even really grasp what they are because he's distanced himself in such a specific way from the black community (and arguably jewish community as well, though i think fd only kinda alludes to it) in a really specific way- BUT, that it was an evolution, he started out in a very odd cultural position where he was ostracized for simultaneously recieving antiblackness from white & jewish communities he was a part of but also seen as "not black enough" by many black people (and it's still a bullshit take people will have)

that desire to fit in is what led him down a shitty road, but also drake already clearly had some clearly terrible behaviors already. he talks about how kendrick was being unhinged too and isnt necessarily one to talk

overall the video is more about the music history behind it and the connection between it and the current culture, and just kinda what led to this climate that could want the downfall of drake

i dont know if i agree on drake not knowing about BHIs, though i could believe he doesnt with how he really weirdly constantly codeswitches even wrt jewishness, but imho fd doesnt like to touch on areas where he really cannot speak to the experience, he's said as much in the past, so he only speaks very briefly of the black perspective of how hoteps are goofy as hell

sorry for rambling, im really into music, think fd did the video well although i dont agree with all his opinions, and just wanted to articulate it correctly that it's really more about the musical climate than anything else :)

This is all really good info. I would believe that Drake didn’t know about BHI, tbh. I didn’t know about it until a couple years ago when Ice Cube (who I grew up loving 😭😭😭) did some heinous shit awhile ago and I was like “Why did my man come for us Jews what the fuck??”

And then a mutual told me about BHI and I looked up. And found a whole new group of people who hate, dehumanize and erase us. 🙃🙃🙃🙃

I mean, theoretically, maybe Drake may have had more exposure to it as a Black and Jewish man. His mere existence makes him more of a target for people invested in that kind of ideology. But also, I do and always have very much gotten the sense that he was ostracized from much of the black community for his Jewishness and mixed race reasons—not due any specific issue in the black community, but just because people are always dicks to people who don’t neatly fit into social categories in expected ways. I can also see how being a Black rapper in white-passing Jewish circles could have been very uncomfortable if those white-passing Jews were inclined to tokenize or exclude him. So it’s possible to me that his bilateral isolation might have insulated him from BHI discourse.

Tbh I don’t think code switching is weird in almost any circumstance. It’s just a development in reaction to your environment. I have a really multiethnic and multicultural family and code switch all the time. I think if it seems weird when Drake does it, it might just be because he has not developed (and tbh should never have had to develop) a strong sense of what “version” of Drake he is supposed to be. So when he tries to read the room and meet expectations, be just does it badly. But it’s not his fault in the long run. It is fault of people who expect him to fit those expectations in the first place.

I respect the hell outta fd for staying in his lane and only speaking on what he understands. And with this context I’m glad he brings up BHI at all. Because it *is* relevant. Being Black and Jewish ANYWHERE are both identities that permeate every single element of someone’s lived experience. When dealing with a beef between people where one is Black and Jewish and the other is Black and attempts to usurp Jewishness by re-categorizing it historically and racially…the cultural friction at play is absolutely relevant.

I’m sure it isn’t the whole story or even likely to be the most important factor in their beef. But it is definitely A factor and it wouldn’t have been right to leave it undressed. Especially when the beef took off as antisemitism more broadly was on the rise due to current events.

I am glad to know that most people still see BHI as a goody ideology. There’s still wayyy too many people who believe it, though. I’ve lived with the consequences of their hatred for white-passing Jews for several months now and it is…unpleasant. But mostly it’s heartbreaking. I grew up listening to Ice Cube. I used to cite James Baldwin. I adored Alice Walker. And finding out that they hate me one by one was devastating. But the worst part has been OTHER BHI folks using their words to justify their own hatred of me and all Jews like me while simultaneously making me feel like I was harming them in some way just by existing.

I want to be clear that I do not and never have believed that most black people believe BHI bullshit. I’m only saying that it was a shock to me the sheer number of people who DO believe it and how vehemently they hold that belief and direct that vehement *emotion* directly at me. It’s really good for me to know that people who aren’t Jewish are publicly speaking out against BHI bullshit. It restores a lot of hope for me.

So ok. I’m back on the “maybe I’ll watch in a little bit when I’m less raw” train. I also love music, even though I’m certainly not up to date on it. So I’m intrigued to know more about the musical landscape of what’s going on.

fair warning this will either seem like incoherent rambling because my thoughts are hard to formulate or just me wanting to be rude about the sequels past we love katamari despite never playing them (i wrote this line after i finished the whole post)

anyways im about to list alot of king's outfits over the games and then rate them on 1) whether i like them personally (partly removed from context), and 2) whether i think they actually fit king. im doing this for absolutely no fucking reason and honestly im scared ill be very wrong or biased but im mnot being paid to do this for gods sakes im writign a tumblr post. i wont get cancelled for getting king incorrect. anyways

katamari damacy

1#: yeah i like it. he looks stupid and i like it. the cape and whatever the collar is called, in combo with the chain and gold accessories looks so silly. he doesnt look like a king besides the crown. he looks like he wants to be cool but doesnt know what that means but he knows nobody will question it cuz hes the king after all.

headdress: perfectly over-loaded. you have way too much going on. you dont need those blinking lights. and you really dont need those patterns and colors. can i try it on

2#: well its hard to say since this is the first one. and of course the first one fits him cuz. its the first one. but i think it gets his impression off very well. its a prussian blue v neck and a golden chain, with sort of maroon tights and a golden belt with the face of a lioness. bracelets and rings, and of course the triangle ruffle collar and purple flower pattern cape. its a mixed warddrobe, kind of silly, i think it works well with how you cant really take him seriously, too. rude and hurtful, yet also he. dresses like this. a kings crown, cape and collar, but his personal style underneath it. also expresses how he may be king, but hes not really taking that as being his role - rather, being himself means to be king. or being king is like, a side thing, not as important as just doing what he wants. maybe a bit of a reach, dont know if i managed to explain what im feeling properly... also, his actual clothing besides his headress isnt actually complicated, which is an interesting contrast. you would think he wants you to pay attention to his face, and not his body. he is egotistical, it makes sense that he wants you to look at him and pay attention to him in general, but the emphasis on his face is interesting.

headdress: absolutely fits. very extravagant in a way that works. the colors arent bright as hell either, which im glad they did because if they were neon and too flashy itd look too obnoxious. well itd look bad but also hes not about exactly "standing out". he loves attention, but he still has his style, and that style IS colorful, but not neon. i think it fits him well, it teeters on being over the top and subtle at the same time, like complex embroideries perhaps

we love katamari

1#: also like it. has the same color scheme of blue top and magenta purplish bottoms. though here its a bit less saturated and lighter in color. the flowers on the sleeves are a nice touch since hes no longer wearing his flower cape, and the golden ankle ring, as hes wearing nothing on his hands but his wedding ring.

headdress: neat!! i like this more than katamari damacy, but just because its kind of cute. well i like them both, but this one is easier to draw (lol) and the color scheme is nice. the lights are now flashing from the spaces of color, instead of looking like round lightbulbs, if that makes sense, and it seems more casual this way, somehow.

2#: it kinda fucks me up. but judging king in we love katamari, from how different he is compared to katamari damacy, this outfit seems kind of perfect to showcase how (almost eerily) laid back he seems to be in we love. his ruffle collar is now smoothed out, its wiggly instead of sharp. hes wearing a very wide sleeve light cyan top, a purplish flower on each sleeve, with a squiggly cut on the lapel, open to reveal his chest and a golden chain, with a piece that looks perhaps like a flower attached to it. he now has a band wrapped around his waist instead of the golden belt, with a golden lioness head piece holding it in place. lighter wine color tights. its so- i dont know. king starts off obviously excited at the fanbase and attention hes getting, so its curious he puts down the iconic outfit and gets into something so comfortable. he wants to stand out less, all of a sudden. its still very much a king outfit, but he dropped so much, i wonder why. hes laying back as usual to let prince do his work but hes really leaning into it now. not just that, but he seems almost less hurtful than katamari damacy. more open. hes still full of himself, but its toned down, muted. his occasional interjections talking about his childhood and papa are offputting in the sense that its unusual. and this outfit is unusual, too, in comparison. katamari damacys impression is that hes pompous but a bit silly (and also just a dick), we love katamaris impression is that hes egoistic- but aimless. he seems more forgetful and more lost in thought. the cape missing could also be symbolic of his openness, even if a bit cheesy. i noted that his cape might also hold some emotional weight similar to the crown, but thats based on my feelings.

headdress: reflects the casuality. its got a smaller color palette now, less patterns, and more flat spaces of color. reminds more of his headdress patterns in his childhood. its also longer now, but i dont have anything to add for that.

me & my katamari

this is where i start to get a bit iffy in general. the games are no longer directed by keita, and king doesnt actually progress any. he stays the same or changes purely because different people are writing his dialouge. me & my katamari seems to have no story otherwise, or cutscenes, even - so from here on i suppose i do get biased but there isnt much character to go off of. however- i did not play any of the games besides the first two, so i am watching gameplays.

1#: i think its alright. i dont really like the combo of colors, it feels weird with the super yellow thin cape, but it is a swimsuit style thing. i wish they changed the collar, though, or outright removed it. it feels wrong to be in there.

headdress: ehh too neon, doesnt help with colors.

2#: this is. alright, its ok. the swimsuit is relatively simple too, thought the yellow cape doesnt seem like something hed wear, especially since its supposed to be a swimsuit- a cape would make it very hard to swim, though kings zaniness could get him to wear a cape if it means looks over functionality. it isnt his normal cape of course, though im a bit sad the flower pattern is entirely missing here, or even a hint of it. instead its a swimsuit.. something... with wine and orange, and what looks like a necklace. its not a necklace exactly, but i dont know the name for this. its also got a lioness head. i dont really get the golden armband around his left arm, but eh. i think its passable overall but straying further from kings personality, though given he is just like. having a splash and having fun. and it is skin tight, which isnt really that important, but its not swimming boxers or something. swimming suit still with a touch of decency. i guess it wouldve been repetitive if this one also had a v cut, but to continue onward from we love katamari, if it had to be real casual and open as a sort of conclusion to we love katamari, i could imagine something similar to this swimsuit, but its a one-piece that covers his legs and chest but leaves his arms free. idk though. i also added this bit in an edit, so now im starting to think about actually sitting down and redesigning it, but im uh. not able to rn. and you cant save edits as drafts. oh well.

beautiful katamari

1#: really very stupid looking. i think the sleeves and puffy pants are very funny but boy i dont like this. dont really like the colors. id try it on myself tho. again, with the wiggly collar- this straight up just doesnt change in all games after we love katamari.

headdress: meh. not a big fan. its getting a bit boring now.

2#: not sure what to say. king wouldnt wear this. its really not his style. it looks more like a jesters outfit, and the lack of shoes makes it look even stranger. the weird random opening that shows a bit of his stomach is also a bit nonsensical, alone in terms of how the hell this piece of clothing works. the pants are too puffy- stripes arent something that make sense as a pattern for him. and the whole theatrics thing, with king talking to you from behind curtains he opens up, on a stage like background, feels out of character. hes not one for theatrics (literal). he likes admiration but he performs by showing off what he can do physically, not through theater or a play. not that its said he does, but the theater bit is just weird. doesnt fit him as a character.

headdress: in combo with the outfit it just doesnt make much sense, it doesnt really harmonize. its alot of shapes and colors, but not with much consideration. the colors seem to be random. the headdress and outfit are kind of at equilibrium with how much they catch your attention. obviously the headdress is more saturated and in game it has blinking lights, but you do have to look longer at the outfit, and it kind of sticks out with how it seems like such a weird pick for him. also it is just kind of a silly looking thing. maybe im just looking too hard though.

also ill b real im just getting more mad at the gameplay. the physics are missing and the katamari feels way too fast and responsive, which is frustrating me, and the game is basically back to basics with you and king and nobody else, which makes kings lines disappointing, but once again, i handle watching a game and playing it differently, and i already have bad feelings about the sequels besides we love katamari as they arent directed by keita, and king is such a specific character. the gameplay part is irrelevant though but it is making me want to watch it less. lol.

katamari forever

1#: curious! i like this outfit, removed from context. i cant say i like it as a king outfit at all, but i just like this type of outfit. fucking. no idea what that thing hes wearing at his collar is called but i have a little soft spot for that thing. hehe. dont care that its a king outfit though.

headdress: i like the colors! its mainly blues, purples and greens, but i like it. the patterns work fine for me. still boring though.

2#: this is hard. katamari forever has a bit more substance, but the whole plot literally is that king loses his memories. though he IS wearing this before he loses his memories. he has dialouge as he has levels, but technically, roboking is the main character in this. doesnt really matter, you can choose between either of their levels at free will i believe. thissss outfit is. sssssss. i dont know. the direction its taking with the fancy dandiness isnt out of place for *a* king, but it is out of place for *the* king of all cosmos. his suit and whole shebang being so bright is incredibly juxtaposed to his comfy darker pallette of katamari damacy and we love katamari - yet hes still the same character? hes not changed. he still belittles prince for low scores and small katamaris, still pretty egotistical. his outfit doesnt reflect anything on a deeper level. if anything just reflects a change in taste, but thats really not that interesting. theres cutscenes (finally) but these say nothing as hes asleep in those cutscenes. so theres nothing more to pull out of that. his responses to low or high scores seem to be mostly the same, and rather short, to be honest. when he requests something, its also pretty short. theres not alot to take out of that.

touch my katamari

1#: scared. scared of touch my katamari. i dont like this outfit but also i just dont like kings 3d model. like i dont need to tell you his face his scary and uncanny looking. its not that bad in this image but if you see even one closeup of his face its just. uncomfortable. his collar is sharp and triangle-y again, though.

headdress: i like the hearts hehe. thats about it though. dont like the fabric overlay over the texture, was kind of unnecessary. i want to spare you from looking at a closeup of the kings face though.

2#: man i dont know bro

im also getting tired and Hooo shit look at the time. i know i shouldnt do these things but you know how it is. i dont know why i did this, to be honest, but i just felt like talking a bit. my mind is a little too full on things around the cosmic family(s) and im already thinking more about queens family. oh well. i have no idea whether to tag this. i suppose i would conclude it here, despite the indeed dry touch my katamari review... this is just my little thing for me. im sure if i tag it with the katamari tag Nothing bad will happen. im going to sleep.

amazing katamari is just a mobile endless runner so theres no story but i will say: i like this! its cute! its simple, and a combo of the katamari damacy and we love katamari outfits. yea its not special, but its ok! though again with the collar... would've liked if they kept either one or the other collar piece. but thats about it, no deep analysis. i just think this render and art style is cute in general, so exclude this from the review. headdress is neat too. again nothing special but atleast it isnt so neon, mainly pinks purples and blues. completely taking it as being cute art though.

bonus AGAIN:

roboking. there will be no outfit review its just king but robo. hes also an entirely different character anyway so an analysis doesnt make sense. but i like that his belt looks stupid and his colors go pretty well, purple yellow blue. and that his eyes are always angled down. i just like robots. all im putting him here for is to say i think his pathetic self is entertaining and i kinda wish katamari forever was better. it couldve been good. but yeah ending this off with sad little roboking. thanks for reading. bye bye

So, in general it was really awesome. i loved seeing our girl queen aanya, more jamaya, ruthari reunion, rayllum, etc.

however, i have quite a few more negative thoughts than i usually would with this show. so here:

-i really like that ezran got mad at runaan for murdering(?) king harrow. it felt real, and im glad we got to see ez's more aggressive side. i also like how callum got stuck between choosing his BROTHER or the LOVE OF HIS LIFE. what i didn't like is that callum really quickly decided to go with rayla. it doesnt make sense, thats his little brother who - in the very first season - he was willing to risk his life for so that ez didn't get murdered by assassins. it felt wrong and i think there should've been more of cal's inner conflict.

-the moonberry surprise scene? yeah, it was funny but also kinda js wtf. it felt like they were meming just for the sake of having more jokes, but idk maybe its js me

-aaravos. you guys dont understand how much i dislike this guy. i swear everyone in the fandom has a crush on him or smth, but i dont. he's a manipulator who targets vulnerable people. im so glad terry ran away from them. on that note tho, claudia didn't seem nearly as affected by his leaving as i thought she would be.

-on the topic of claudia, i really liked her dragon-form thingy. it's a really cool concept! however i think it shhould've gotten more attention the first time it happened, like we get a transformation sequence or something and the other characters getting really shocked and stuff

-now, i love my girl aanya, she's criminally underrated imo. however, i feel like her character was kind of awkwardly implemented into the season. like she was there just for ez, which isnt a problem, because i think they could be great friends. but when she shows him the gems... like, yeah, i think its awesome that she's trying to help ezran, but we only see that cave and absolutely nothing of the rest of duren which i think sucks and makes it feel kinda rushed. i've seen some people say that they think aanya has a crush on ez because she's always trying to get closer to him or wtvr but i disagree. i think she just really wants to be a good friend and she's also not super used to talking to kids her age. so, yk, it might seem like that, but imo shes just reaching out for someone who understands her struggles. im ngl i really hope they dont end up together in arc three because i'd like them both to be friends and have a sibling like relationship. but maybe js me idk

-janai and amaya were just absolutely amazing as always. i really liked how they had to return to lux aurea to stop aaravos. i feel like we shouldve seen some of janai's inner conflict w that tho bc she losf her sister there and now she's bringing her little brother there.

-speaking of karim. dont get me wrong, i hate him, but his death was so... bad. aaravos just got bored of him and smushed him? like... im not too mad bc i hate karim, but i js think that was a quick way to get rid of a character.

-again, i wish we got to see more of janai being upset because now she's lost both if her siblings, to the same person and in the same place. its deja vu and she's probably going to refuse to ever return to lux aurea.

-speaking of getting to lux aurea, i loved astrid little scene, asking everyone if they were aunt amaya. i love astrid sm and i love that she refused not help ray and cal. however, i feel like it would've been interesting to see her deal with consequences for taking off her blindfold. also, i think it would've been nice for astrid and kosmo to have had a really sweet goodbye-hugging moment before astrid left. also, more of kosmo's visions would be interesting.

-i think the part where we see that akiyu was killed. that was really sad and i liked that claudia was there to confront cal. also runaan being protective of callum was so sweet.

-zym. specifically, zym speaking. what the fuck. that was funny, but also super uncalled for. also, no hate bc i love dante, but i think a different voice actor wouldve been better. idk, i always thought that if zym spoke then he'd sound kinda more like walker scobell in the adam project. idk its kinda specific but yeah. also, i wish that zym had spoken during the actual fight during aaravos. like, maybe he goes "you're not gonna hurt anyone else as long as im around" then blasts lightning at him.

-speaking of that scene, im annoyed we didn't get to see the novablade in use, i think that would've been awesome.

ooooh yeah like. a lot. a lot a lot. comes with the job and having no sense of self preservation. i guess ill just erm.... list them all >:3c

soooo stuff like spore and hypnosis makes me really groggy but i can handle two or three before i drop and start snoozing... ive always had issues with sleep so thats probably why? its not fun though of course. can make you loopy if you resist.

burns suck ass. not only do they hurt they fucking make you weaker, sap out strength. important to dressing them before they blister and get worse. will o wisp is particularly nasty, luckily havent been hit by that often, but the ghost energy really adds to the unpleasantness, feels like it hurts deeper than it should and the pain lasts longer than it would from an ember or flamethrower. something tried to scald me in the face once, im very glad i saw it coming and dodged.

freeze isnt one ive dealt with too much luckily, funnily enough it can feel kinda like a burn. frostbite is a lot more common especially if youre handling certain ice types without gloves. extremely not fun. do not recommend.

paralysis i fucking hate paralysis. thunderwave is the worst. not being able to move makes me panic really bad. can also tingle and make you feel weird for a few days afterward. a stun spore can make your lungs and throat and skin feel weird like a week.

poison is one of the most varied feelings. it can be shooting pain, burning pain, itching, pulsing, stabbing, localized or all over your body. if i described each one wed be here forever. remember your antidotes!!!

dunno if it counts but confusion sucks too. i already dislike being dizzy and it's just that amped up to 1000. feels like being drunk but without the fun parts. plus you get the added benefit of a headache if it was a move that uses sound.

the main rule i like to keep in my head is that i am drawing the character, not the actor, if that makes sense?

this is all taking arthur as an example, to show what kinds of things i look for!! if i were talking about merlin any other live action character like. bobby briggs or something all the details would be super different haha a way i like to familiarize myself with a live action character at first is tracing which i must preface by saying TRACING ISNT BAD!! its a tool and it just needs to be used correctly. tracing is a great way to figure out a method to drawing things, so its really valuable in studying. im not gonna address using tracing in finished artwork rn bc thats where it gets a little dicey and i would talk about it too much.

i dont really need to do this for arthur anymore but it was a fun exercise lmao

sorry the images are so crunchy i always forget i work on small canvases, anyways in capturing a likeness i like to emphasize and exaggerate a little which features make the character most recognizable to me.

he's got a sharp nose which is bumped at the bridge and a little bit upturned at the bottom. when he's smiling his eyes crinkle a lot and his cheek muscle becomes more pronounced and connects into the corner of his mouth

very square jaw. his brows are thicker near the center and don't have much of an arch. his cheeks are hollowed with neutral expression and the muscles on the sides of his mouth (depressor anguli oris, if i remember correctly lol) are obvious when the corners of his mouth are downturned

the corners of his mouth fold in a lot when he bares his teeth if hes angry or agitated, its a different type of fold when hes relaxed or smiling

his masseter is rather pronounced when he's talking or agitated, and i usually connect the line of it to the line that goes down from the inner corner of his eye. i forget what the word for it is rn but its different from eyebags (though i do like to draw eyebags)

but none of these details work if whatever hes doing in the drawing isnt in character, yknow? like he could look like arthur but he wouldnt really feel like arthur if hes not acting like arthur. idk it s hard for me to put to words im sure u get what i mean enough

body shape and language are also super important to think about, these are some things i keep in mind with arthur - hes shredded but not like marvel movie dehydrated shredded (good for him) - hes very broad and his shoulders slope down because of his trapezius muscles - he takes up a lot of space! he hardly ever curls up or sits with his feet up in his chair. even when hes sleeping hes pretty sprawled out - his "closed off" body language is crossing his arms or raising his left hand to twist his index finger ring with his thumb (worried/thinking gesture) - he moves with a lot of purpose usually and isnt often clumsy (unlike merlin lmao) - he moves his shoulders a lot when he walks (see top left image)

honestly think body language is just as important as facial features if not more, for the purpose of creating personality and character

i probably sound like i think way too much about this stuff which i. i kind of do but not in so many words i dont need this many words when its all in my brain. but yeah thats how i figure out how to draw a live action character i guess? anyways this was kind of a mess haha

The boys never found complete peace. They probably won't be able to access it until they die. I really want them to be happy but it seems impossible. Sometimes they have small happiness but it is not enough.

amara finally became the darkness. if lucifer is in the cage where is michael/adam. hi luci. lucifer might be the most terrifying thing in this Show(especially in this episode). Dean should go to Sam as soon as possible. Did Rowena cast the spell wrong on purpose? Dean has to be there if Sam is going to say yes to Lucifer. If God comes, he will deserve every bad thing that happens to him. How many times was the world destroyed? He did not interfere with anything. he still doesn't interfere. Amara may be a little right, her brother betrayed her after all. Of course, there are parts where Lucifer is right. It's better if he doesn't come from now on. Where and what was he doing all this time?

They had an deal but never followed it. But once Sam complied. Why? I still can't understand this. Dean was in purgatory. If he was in heaven, I would understand, sam would say Dean is in a good place and leave it, but Dean was in purgatory and suffered a lot. Why didn't Sam save him? dean is the vulnerable one. the darkness threw him off balance. and cas(lucifer) misha is so good. and jensen and dean he is georgeous. I can't take my eyes off him, most of the time I just look at Dean in every scene he is in. There are 4 seasons left and I want to see as much of him as possible.

jody and alex they deserved to be happy and they found eachother and now they are happy. and claire. dean and his love for food. claire is like a sister to winchesters, they are hilarious together. I miss the old plate, I still can't get used to the new one. I can't even say it's new anymore, but KAZ 2Y5 was different, idk. It was used for about 2 seasons, but I liked it more.

dean was deppesed at the home but when he is on case, he is in a completely different mode. he sure knows how to hide his feelings. he does this perfect. Still, it makes me happy to see him happy. i love dean so much. sometimes he acts like a little boy(These scenes are one of my favorite scenes). i dont trust the demon who helped crowley. im glad he is out but i think lucifer wanted him out. did crowley really believed her? he looks disappointed. well, in the end he got away. dean:). The good characters on this show have all done something bad at least at some point in their lives. but they always tried to fix it. And that's what I love about this show.

s11 ep16(safe house)

i missed the old guys(They'd definitely be mad at me if they heard me call them old). i loved them so much. Why did the woman hide the scar on her daughter's leg and didn't tell the Winchesters? its really nice to see bobby and rufus again. dean is bobby, and sam is rufus it fits. sam and dean, of course they are bobby's boys. Dean was very confident that he would win rock paper scissors. but he still lost. Both of their facial expressions were perfect. dean is soft with kids. I love this side of him so much. i know winchesters will be safe, they'll beat the monsters but what if they cant this time. I assume bobby and dean saw each other since they were out of time in the nest. I'm glad bobby and dean were able to see each other again.

When we jumped to 48 hours ago, I thought we would only continue with that time. This time they chose a different narrative style. and i liked it. im gonna kill corbin. he killed sam. he cant be dead i know but still he killed him, well mabe he is dead, but he will come back. they always do. sheriff shot dean. sam how are you alive? i knew he wouldnt die that easy but dean checked he thought he was dead. how is he alive? i thought dean would try to contact crowley or even lucifer. wow sam was amazing. He killed 3 werewolves despite being seriously injured. and ran. dean didnt talked about billie because he knew sam would kill him for that. winchesters really do anything for the other one(exvcept one time sam didnt and i really cant undertstand why).

i thought jessie saved his brother in 19.. . at first i thought they were dean and sam. i think dean thought about john. when he was talking about revenge. I have many things to say about John, but I'm lazy right now. I can only say that I still don't hate John right now, I see that people in the fandom hate him a lot. revenge broke him. But he still tried to do good things for Dean and Sam. Most of the time he couldn't make it happen, but he tried and wanted it to happen. And I think that's enough not to hate him for now at least.

He could have done so much, he could have prevented so many bad things, but he didn't. only now intervened When there is no hope left. and again dean and sam was suffering. they almost died again. i think metatron saved the earth.

I wish Dean treated Chuck the way Percy Jackson treated Zeus. There is Poseidon to protect Percy, but no one can save Dean from Chuck (except Amara, but Dean prefers Chuck to Amara), so he tries to show respect. rip metatron. he sacrificed himself for the universe. i knew Chuck would save them. Chuck and lucifer I can't stop laughing. Chuck know his son well. boys dont know what to do. I think the Winchesters are reviewing their lives right now. From simple monster hunting, they fell into the middle of the drama between God and Lucifer. lucifer is a teenager. Of course, Crowley is trying to take advantage of the situation. Chuck is acting like a mom. The apology scene is so good, especially the part where Dean and Sam explain the apology is my favorite. lucifer is happy now. he got his apology. Of course Sam is trying to sacrifice himself. It was going to be either Dean or Sam anyway, but since Amara and Dean had a bond, this job was left to Sam. i dont think ucifer s permanently dead. he'll retur probably. did she just kill god?! what happened to crowley? Did he only hit Amara once? i cant think anyone that could save them now.

carry on gains more and more meaning every season. i love it so much. cas is back! cas is their brother and i like it. Did only the Man of Letter members in America die? Are there still other members in other countries? Dean's imitation of Rowena was very good and funny. amara is just confused. her brother betrayed her because of who she is. this really feels like the end. i know its not but still it was never like this. this Show is always about family, especially siblings. there is always dean and sam then Michael and lucifer now god and the darkness. its really beautiful. i like this ending. i knew mary was coming back(i saw spoilers, again) and i know that this isnt good. she should've stayed dead(like dean and sam remebered her). sam isnt dead. he cant be. THOUGHT ABOUT HOW MUCH THIS SONG IS CWILBUR BUT YOUR SO. YOUR SO RIGHT. im turning off all caps this is getting annoying imagine it with the same excitement though.

i love the way? you did the animation? if that makes sense. like the wiggly lines and such. it fits the whole Vibe where nothing really stops moving right. even with the like. background shots its never still and i love that.

the color choices too. i feel like most really impactful art (at least in this fandom) for me either uses very little color variety or a lot of color variety. obviously there isnt a lot of color in the animatic but i feel like that makes it more impactful as i said. especially with how the color changes in different- like, eras? in the beginning of the video, the lmanburg era, the blue fits very well imo. like the color of their suits is blue, it probably stands out most for me in the flag even. its just the color i think of when i think of lmanburg. and then when it switches to pogtopia, its red. Again, similar things to say, red is the color i think of when i think of pogtopia. other than brown i guess. and then the yellow at the end. like yeah this is still pogtopia technically but i feel like the color switch is very important. yellow is the brightest color used which is like. its fitting. fitting of his death- the flashy explosion, the theatrical way he went. and then the white in limbo. its only one scene but still. limbo is, well, a limbo. its bare its uninteresting its suffocating in it's blandness. even if c!wilburs limbo isn't particularly bland, if someones in the same place for 13 years straight its gonna get boring. and i think the use of only black and white shows this perfectly. AND THEN THE END. AUGH. when he's revived it switches from the bland white and black to using all the colors shown so far. which is, albeit, only five including white and black. but still my point stands; it's a great contrast.

NO im not done. back to the linework. i love how in each scene that features a character the lines like. emanate? i guess? from them. specifically in cwilburs case. in the beginning of the video the lines are straight and he's facing forwards. great cool yeah. BUT. when it switches to pogtopia the lines are squiggly and while there are some straight lines they are sporadic and a lot arent coming directly from or to him. ESPECIALLY when pared with the way you redrew each frame it just shows his increased mental instability visually very well. also he's facing away from the viewer instead of towards them which is a really nice touch im just struggling to explain why in words. and then in the first yellow scene after he blew everything up the lines while still sporadic, are a lot straighter and less squiggly. (and only coming from him, the center of everyones attention) while he's still Very mentally unstable, he's just as confident as he was during lmanburg. and in the end when hes revived there isnt any lines like there was before. it gives the same contrasting vibe that the color does. like waking up from a dream, if that makes sense

some other things i noticed. um. the fish in the river in the beginning. really liked that one. gave me a good chuckle after the 10th-15th watch when i noticed it. the transition from the burning flag to pogtopia is really nice. just all the transitions are great actually. and the timing with the lyrics is amazing. also eyebags thumbs up emoji. OH and when cwilbur is revived at the end thats the first time we see his eyes and i like that one.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!! im so glad you picked up on the color stuff omg i wasnt sure anyone would outside of it just being the lmanberg flag colors!!! i wrote a whole poem a few years back about red yellow and blue and how they relate to cwil! yeah the blue in lmanberg is based on the suits, and also that one line ghostbur had about lmanbur crying himself to sleep every night! and red for pogtopia is from tnt and the phrase "seeing red"! yellow was originally revival, supposed to represent the sunrise and like a new beginning, but it worked better here as nov 16th, as more of a final blast of light that burns itself into your retinas.

also soo glad u picked up on revivebur being the only time we see his eyes/ when hes in full color/ no lines around him!! to me at least his revival was like. picking up the different pieces of himself and reconciling them. realizing that every part of him IS still a part of him, always will be, and hes gotta figure out the way forward.

HIII omg i love talking about pa so much im so glad ppl wanna hear abt it :DD hc time.

- angel just has this intuition about patches. he can tell when he’s lying or when he’s hiding something like… 95% of the time. coco and olive especially have learned to look to him as a standard for whether patches is bsing his way through a conversation

- its for this reason that angel is the first person who learns about what patches actually goes through at home and not olive. combined with the little noticeable hints in his demeanor angel ends up sussing it out and confronting patches who gives up trying to make excuses eventually

- and so also i think they kind of have a misunderstanding deal where angel really is willing to give patches a second chance and treat him like a new person and patches is in his own head like wow he hates me and thinks i should die. and i personally also dont think angel ever wanted patches dead. in pa1 he just wanted to talk to patches. in pa2 he actually ingame smiles while remembering how it used to be. even in the bad end of pa3 where he kills patches it was something he saw as a necessary option to be safe in immediate danger

- and also i do not even think i put this in the patches answer but i think he does have a lot of inferiority issues from his childhood and by the end of pa3 he’s kind of at this place where he “knows” angel is better than him. specifically i think he would probably think about how he didn’t/couldn’t stand up for himself but angel stood up to him when he felt threatened/uncomfortable

- anyways angel and patches i think could very much grow to care about each other and actually support each other in a healthy manner and in my brain they work on that post canon. to me it’s less destined to be lovers and more like. inexplicably drawn to each other. the secret third thing. type relationship

- for this next part to make sense i have to add that in my head, ginger and mittens put a program together that puts a semi-small group of cats at hachiko high to take classes, sort of like transfer students. everyone that patches talks to who attended community day transfers as well as other assorted cats mostly chosen by mittens. so whisk and angel go there now basically lmao

- after canon i think whisk def develops an actual crush on patches and is mental about it. like “wow look another way i’m a disappointment to the wichien family name” kind of mental, because despite the growing affinity between cats and dogs, most of them still don’t like each other, ESPECIALLY the influential magical families. he tells mitt and she judges him Heavily (mostly because of patches being patches, not patches being a dog). he also Totally tells adopted sibling ginger and they share patches crush kinship

- i think he did genuinely think angel was cute but only in kind of a surface level way (they probably didn’t talk because angel mentions not being a fan of whisk in the pa3 prologue). when he likes patches he Actually likes patches and he has a full blown drama queen crisis about it

- crush also developed from being patches’ partner in home ec when school resumes. much preferable to having doug as a partner because patches can now be trusted around sharp objects and whisk gets to literally just stare at him being a good cook and then immediately pretend he isnt looking (patches says he isn’t but if he gets serious about cooking he lowkey wants to do everything himself. whisk can decorate the finished product but that’s it)

- i also hc that whisk is magicless and mitt is really strong because mitt took all of whisk’s magic. like how when twins are born one twin is sometimes healthier because it took the other twin’s nutrients in the womb? that’s what i think happened but with their magic

- speaking of couples i like ginger and sparky together as well. i think they are cute!! also if ginger was intended to be a team captain i would infer that she is decent at sports. in my head sparky is good with the strength sports and she is good with like the angle sports and the less crazy stuff, probably a good runner too. different kind of strength

- angel is into crocheting. or knitting. or wants to learn one or both. as a crocheter and wannabe knitter i feel like he would really like it

- i feel like ginger and coco get together and start helping more dogs discover their latent magic powers (like sparky in pa2 proved, dogs Can wield magic). bonding opportunity 2 for ginger/sparky as well

ok thats all i could think of rn. i do have a vague storyline plotted that happens in my head after pa3 to resolve some stuff and Make Patches Happier so maybe ill make. separate post about what goes on there? or ones with more little details abt them? idk we will see. i hope you enjoyed :))))

favorite thing about them: i like that he isn't just a stereotypical highblood, if you know what i mean. Like, yes he's still casteist and evil but he has his own worldview regarding those things thats a lot more complex than "highbloods good n strong lowbloods weak n bad" u know. If he didn't end up getting an rp account i dont think he'd be fleshed out at all. Also his design. Im so glad i didn't just make him taller eleven oh my god

Also i know im dragging this on too long but i like that he's not really aggressive. Most of the time. He's very polite and calm. He doesn't swear, he rarely raises his voice, he stays cordial unless someone's testing him first etc. In a way i think it makes him scarier. He doesn't need to compensate for anything, he expects you to know your place regardless. Its like being in a room with a hungry 14ft shark that's insisting it's not gonna bite you in a calm tone while grinning the whole time. God forbid he tells you your horns look unique.
