After dedicating the last 10 years of her life to her music, Julie has finally achieved everything he ever dreamed of. Not only has she become a successful singer-songwriter, selling out entire stadiums, but she also has a close relationship with her highly supportive and loving family.

And when her long-term boyfriend Nick unexpectedly proposes to her, Julie couldn't be any happier.

Alas, there's a teeny-weeny problem: Unbeknownst to the world (including Nick), she's already married ... to her former childhood sweetheart and ex-bandmate Luke.

Pressured to set things right, Julie returns to her hometown to get her "husband" to sign the divorce papers. There, she's confronted with estranged and hurt friends, the demons of her past, and, naturally, Luke.

I just had the horrible, horrible idea for a book to take advantage of the craze for bad Greek modern retellings. It'll be called "Penelope in Ithaca" and it'll be a romcom set in Ithaca NY where everybody's college-aged and all the frat boys are fighting to date Penelope while Odysseus is studying abroad. Athena is a meddling grad student. The household maids are Penelope's sorority sisters who think she's too good for Odysseus and are pushing her to date around more. I'll market it breathlessly on booktok and it'll make a gajillion dollars.

Monthly Poll: New Kinds of Special Candidates

In most Story of Seasons games, there's usually a few extra marriage candidates deemed "Special" that have extra requirements to marry. These have ranged from Gods and Goddesses, a kappa who hates you, a kitsune, a witch who requires ritualistic animal sacrifice, a mermaid, and even a mascot suit! With the next game on the (distant) horizon, and Olive Town not even including one, it feels like a good a time as ever to wish and wonder for something a little unusual in the dating pool again.

Hey, I think that ask about mc walking up to the ro’s as a talking duck may be referring to the scenes in the anime “I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss” where Aileen is dressed in a duck mascot suit to hide from her husband, Lord Claude.

I could be wrong about what the anon was thinking about when they wrote the ask, but I’m pretty sure that’s it.

I suppose that's possible (although I don't recall Aileen doing the equivalent of "...don't ask" to the RO), but considering that Merlin can literally transform the MC into a mallard duck in one path through Chapter 1, that's not really where my mind would go.

Also considering that the MC could already be cosplaying from the Matrix, Kill Bill, a random vampire, Jason from Halloween, a 16th century plague doctor, or a deep sea diver/astronaut from the beginning of the game, they're showing up in another costume would mostly get a "So you upgraded your wardrobe, huh?" reaction from the ROs who know them.

Not to say one can't consume media they don't 100% agree with (I do the same so like), but you talk a lot about how the core views of TPN vs BSD change your entire way of enjoying these two, and I was wondering what drew you in into BSD if there are so many aspects of it you disagree with?

Here is something I have been thinking about for a few weeks and it’s that I think there should be outerwear for your bottom half that’s as easy to take on and off as a coat. I shouldn’t have to take my shoes off if I want to take off my warmer layer when I get inside. They should make, like, wraparound skirts that you fasten with a belt or ties or whatever that you can whip off and throw onto a coat hook or over the back of a chair the second you’re not outside in the wintry hellscape anymore. Have you ever seen such a crusty crochet (or any crafting) pattern that you immediately just had to fix it

Because I saw a heart pattern where the half circle part was made By GOING BACK AND FORTH, instead of you know, a CIRCLE, and that was how I made my first semi-own pattern

I think I remember you posting about black cat but a male equivalent? Like how Otto and Beck are your MJ and Gwen (in theory) is there anything with Acedia and black cat? Or does Black cat have someone else and the relationship to Acedia is just more annoyance than it is romantic

I feel like @muppet-skunk would be better at answering this one (namely the "does he have someone else" part since that would involve a character of theirs, you should send them a similar message!)

However I can say you'd be right about the annoyance for me part lol

Black Cat/Felix is uncomfy to interact with, for me. Unlike Spidey/Peter, I ain't swayed by his conventionally attractive charms.... and his skimpy outfit. LOL

There's nothing between me and him, though I think he'd take my reactions to mean something like "oh, she's so into me." Or "she's playing hard to get? I like that :)" however, I also think after some point he'd get frustrated and tired of chasing and get equally annoyed at my appearance to try and get him to put the stolen goods back.

Anyways, I never did finish the sketch/concept drawing for my Black Cat/Felix Hardy.. I really need to do that at some point.
