*THE* mean-girl-dean-girl's Supernatural reboot MEGAPOST!
I'm gonna stick a little "keeping reading" here because hoooooo boy, this is a very long post.
Let's start with
Plot
Season 1
Dean kills John while they are out on a hunt in a crime of passion, but Dean doesn't remember because he blacked out. Cue Dean going to Stanford to get Sam and tell him "Dad's on a hunting trip... and he hasn't been home in a couple days."
The audience doesn't know what happened to John, but slowly figures it out with Dean and Sam as Dean slowly remembers what happened that night.
The entire first season, the boys are following the trail John left and fighting monsters as well. They find out Dean was with John, Sam realizes Dean has an unreliable memory, they have heart to hearts about their childhood and the fire, they find John's body, "how could you kill Dad?" but maybe Dean didn't kill dad, whooaaaaaa, misdirection.
It was actually good ole yeller eyes (Azazel) and he made it look like Dean killed John.
Okay, now let's move on to the first episode
Not sure how the opening would work, I would like the story of the fire to be revealed over the course of the first season, but maybe the opening scene could be a little bit of an establishing character relationships and backstory, idk, I haven't thought that far yet.
I'm thinking maybe it's like, Dean gets back to a motel room covered in blood and he listens to a voicemail on his phone from John saying he was on a hunt or something, I don't really know lol.
HOWEVER
I do know that after the intro rolls, we get a scene of Sam waking up to his alarm and "Nine to Five" by Dolly Parton starts playing.
Y'all know where this is going.
Cue a montage of Sam's normal Stanford college life (him sitting through lectures, walking through the campus with friends) spliced with scenes of Dean absolutely slaughtering a nest of vampires (or some other monsters, whatever works best.)
But
Now onto
Characters!!! (And descriptions)
Dean Winchester
Some lovely person on this site made edits of Dean with platinum blond hair and it made me feel some kind of way so we're doing that, homie's gonna have platinum blond hair
Side note about the hair, later when the brothers are running from the FBI he dyes it a dirty blond/light brown (insert jackles hair color controversy here) as a disguise.
He also gets tattoos because we were robbed.
Speaking of tattoos, concept: when Dean comes back from Hell, all of his tattoos are gone. His body is a clean slate, devoid of tattoos, scars, etc. So he gets his tattoos done all over again, which he doesn't mind because he made some bad, drunk tattoo decisions in his youth.
(And before you ask, yes, he does get one for Cas, either a bee or Cas's name in enochian, something cute.)
Dean goes to therapy after Sam gets sent to the Cage.
It's actually court mandated because he got in trouble, lol, he would never go to therapy on his own.
Along with the hair, Dean gets to be the grade A twunk we all know he is.
Sam Winchester
His hair gets longer in every scene he's in
No jk, but imagine
King of Microaggressions
Sam starts off like the sweetheart he is in season 1 but in later seasons he starts enjoying killing a little too much...
It's that demon blood, ba-by!!!
He brings up issues of morality to Dean, i.e. killing monsters who aren't hurting anyone. (Yes I know this is contradictory to my previous statement, but these two facets of Sam can and will coexist.)
Sam and Jess's relationship is explored further, meaning we'll need to start with a different inciting incident, but that's fine, I think everyone can agree fridgings are *(thumbs down)*
Sam doesn't truly know what happened the night of the fire until later, and then he understands why Dean is so protective of him.
Jess
She gets to live beyond the first episode
She is also trans
No, I don't feel like I have to explain myself and I won't 💜
She urges Sam to join Dean in a search for their brother, kind of gets pulled into the hunter lifestyle by association lol.
She dies on a rusty nail after fighting vampires on a routine hunt with Sam
No jk!!!
But imagine....
She's amazing and I love her and Lucifer also uses her as leverage against Sam and possesses her because I think that'd be cool.
She supports Sam 100% and also she and Dean are buddies, pals if you will.
She meets Cas Thee El and immediately she Knows, that is a homosexual.
She dies still so that we can have a Saileen Endgame but she's not dying the first episode or in a fridging. Not on my watch.
Castiel
He gets to keep his raw, light-fixture-exploding power.
I want more of that "I pulled you out of hell, I can throw you back in" energy except over dumb shit like Dean not cleaning up after himself.
He looks like a Dilf in every scene he's in, yeah, that's right, dilf with a capital D for *(GUNSHOTS)* *(gets sent to horny jail)*
Claire
She gets pink hair
And more time with Cas
And maybe a nose piercing
Feel like she should be able to kill a couple angels onscreen, punch a couple homophobes
She gets to meet Jack and teaches him swears and fun slang words.
She deserves it.
Jack
I says "that's my baby and I'm proud."
Jack starts off as a baby, but like Amara he grows up super quickly.
Like, baby to 11 year old in a couple days or less.
This is because Jack's emotional age on the show is on par with that of a 5th grader.
It's at this point when he's a young kid that he runs away from the Bunker and shenanigans ensue.
It's also at this point that Dean threatens to k*ll him.
(Still not sure if I want that in my Supernatural (threatened infanticide? In my Supernatural? It's more likely than you think) but we'll see. We'll see.)
Throughout a majority of season 13, Jack is like an 11 y.o. kid
Season 14 he's like a 16 y.o. teenager
Season 15 he's 21, you get the picture.
Listen, I love Alex Calvert a lot. He's great.
But Jack is a child and should be a child.
Kelly Kline
Kelly, baby, stay right where you are, you're perfect.
Eileen
SHE DOESN'T DIE
SHE GETS TO BE IN THE FINALE BECAUSE SHE'S AMAZING AND I LOVE HER.
BLURRY WIFE WHO? I ONLY KNOW SAILEEN ENDGAME!
She teaches Claire and Jack swears in sign-language. Castiel is not impressed.
John
J*hn W*nchester stans, DNI.
He's dead.
We only see him in flashbacks and only sometimes hear his voice in voice overs.
He's not "down the road" from Dean in Heaven, in fact he instead gets to wander around in some Purgatory like Hell for the rest of his time :)
People who get to say "fuck" on the show:
Cas (but only Once)
Jody
Bobby
Now onto other things
I want more of
Ghostfacers
(they need more screentime because I love them)
Dean/Benny
We know they had a thing.
They definitely had a thing.
Demon Dean
Again, I feel like more should've been done with this. All that build up for what, 2 episodes? was not utilized well at all.
Dean's Bisexuality
Straight Dean truthers DNI, my Supernatural is a show about love and being true to yourself
You think Supernatural is a show about 2 straight brothers fighting monsters?
Naw bitch, this is a show about the Gay Experience
He will get to have relations with men on this show.
Of course, only after John dies does he, y'know, display it. Maybe he kisses Cas on his dad's grave just to fuck John over, make him roll in grave.
We all agree John would be/is a homophobe piece of shit, right?
Okay, glad we're on the same page.
Dads
3 men and a baby with Jack is what I'm saying.
I love it when the Trio are father-figures to younger troubled characters they see themselves in, even better if it's like reluctant-but-loving father figure, oh, that trope gets me every time :'^)
Dadstiel and DadDean are my favorites, but I like it when Sam plays "Uncle Sam" to kids too lol.
"Fellas, is it gay to want a tight knit family with your husband, his son, his vessel's daughter, your brother, his wife, your cop mother figure and her wife and their adopted daughters? Asking for a friend."
Garth
Biggest flaw of Supernatural was underutilizing Garth.
I will never not be bitter that Garth was only in like, 7 episodes out of the whole 15 season series.
Every episode with Garth gets immediately 5 times better.
I love Garth.
Follow ups on characters who had entire episodes featured around them and then just... vanished???
This is mostly about Jesse, the magic kid whose imagination ruled an entire town like, his daddy was a demon and nothing came of that kid??? Only one episode about him?? No follow up???
KID CAN MANIPULATE REALITY AND WE'RE NOT GONNA GET A FOLLOW UP ON THAT?????
Uh, there was that one episode with Ennis the guy whose girlfriend was killed by a monster? I think?? Who we never see again, that was weird.
Tamara from season 3, episode 1.
And of course-
Cassie
She was so cool, and then we never saw her again :////
She gets to be a badass.
Religious imagery
As a former Catholic school student who has become for the most part, disillusioned with religion, religious imagery in TV shows like Supernatural make my brain go "brrrrrr."
Fun episodes!!!
Like, after season 6 or so, there's a drop in funny episodes
I'm talking Changing Channels, The French Mistake type stuff. (Scoobynatural is an outlier and should not be counted.)
So anyway
In my version we would have more fun episodes
I'm thinking
GENDER-SWAP EPISODE, BABY!!
(why they didn't do that in the original, we'll never know.)
An episode where Dean gets to wear eyeliner
That's it, end of post.
I want less
Racism
Yeah I feel like this is self explanatory, nearly every reoccurring character in SPN is white, and black side characters normally die in the episode they first appear in, or they'll be featured as a villain (Uriel, Raphael, Billie, etc)
Also there's a lot of... uh... asian fetishism featured in the show (what with "Busty Asian Beauties) that's really gross, also Kevin was a bit of a stereotype...
Also also it's super yucky how they kill the gods from other religions like???? Uh??? That's super disrespectful, let's not do that????
I know Supernatural is like, inherently racist because monsters are a separate race that are seen as some dangerous "other" that must be eradicated by hunters in a form of genocide-
Okay we won't get into that but
Still
Stop killing all your POC
Fridgings/Unecessary murders of female characters
I know Supernatural starts with a fridging, so this will be a hard thing to remedy, but
One death that really pissed me off was the death of Charlie
Yeah, that was pointless and we're not doing that. Charlie gets to live and be an awesome aunt to Jack.
And also Claire
Charlie Bradbury Superiority
Charlie and Garth get to meet because they're nerd/geek solidarity.
British Men of Letters
I fucking hate these guys
They're "litcherally" the worst.
The worst part is that the actors they have playing the British AREN'T. EVEN. BRITISH.
And you can tell
Uh, and that's all for now, I'll add more later.
tag list for people who liked my "if this post gets one like I'll post my SPN reboot masterpost" post.
@darianyunidi @sarasidlesaid @crazybananaalpaca @playfulpanthress @ultfreakme @fififeelsmellow @heller-char @luna8eaton @princessmeganfire @insanebot109 @queenofnightsnow @mongoose-underthehouse
Thank you for the support, hope the wait was worth it.

Writeblr Introduction
I...don’t think I’ve ever actually done one of these. I’ve been in this community for almost two (three?) years and I’ve never done an intro.
Oops.
Oh, well! Here we go!
Hello, all! You can call me ‘Red’. No, it’s not my favourite colour, but it is the colour of my favourite owl, the red phase eastern screech.
A bit about me:
I’m a reader and writer by nature. I’ve always loved stories. As a 90s kid, Disney was my childhood and I started reciting lines by the time I was four. I was also the kid who stayed up late reading and actually got grounded once for it. I’ve been writing since I was maybe eight or ten, so at the very least, it’s been twenty years of writing. (Yes, I turn thirty this year (mental screaming).)
Some tropes/things I look for in books:
found family
magic, fantasy, supernaturalism
platonic relationships
well-written romantic relationships (please, for the love of heaven and earth, no love triangles or unnecessary romantic subplots)
happy endings (see also: good triumphs over evil)
Some things I’m learning more about for my writing:
diversity: tropes/stereotypes to avoid and how to be respectful when I write characters
exposition: I suck at it and would like to learn how to be more descriptive without going overboard
being an habitual writer: I write when the mood strikes, and even then I find it difficult. Sometimes I word-vomit, and other times I open the document and then let it sit there for five hours straight
being able to actually finish a WIP: I have hundreds of ideas and it’s super hard to stay focussed on just one or two
Here are two WIPs of original fiction I’m working on:
The Rider (tentative title)
Genre: fantasy, adventure, drama
Summary: 25 years after the forest goddess Írna vanishes, tragedy strikes the rural mounted patrols of Veribrar. Dozens of centaurs and their human riders are killed in a deluge of disasters and freak accidents. As the nation panics and blames everyone from mages to terrorists, Tyrthion, a centaur, must overcome his grief for his dead rider and best friend, and find a new rider.
Elría is living peacefully in a tiny village in Veribrar’s northeast with her brother Kethro when Tyrthion and his patrol arrive at the village gate. Called to a duty she never wanted, Elría must face the challenges of becoming the rider to a centaur who doesn’t want her yet chose her anyway.
And all the while, those behind the mass murders stalk the shadows, their sights narrowing on their true target.
Themes: loss, friendship, finding courage
Status: basic outline, complete
The Seer’s Protector (A brand new work! I came up with this last week and am currently hammering out world building and plot details)
Genre: fantasy, action, supernatural
Summary: Rochelle Wickerman is a hired guard for a cargo transport. Cargo status: precious, fragile, live. When she discovers the cargo is a six-year-old girl, she betrays her contractors, takes the girl and runs. With hunters on their tail, the unlikely pair stumbles upon a hamlet deep in the hills. Race Population: varied. But vampires, animal shifters, goblins and the hamlet’s troll mayor aren’t Rochelle’s only problems, especially when the little girl starts to tell Rochelle about the visions.
Themes: friendship, found family, self-identity
Status: basic outline, in progress
About my blog:
I mostly reblog other people’s advice, WIPs and art, though I am trying to make my own posts. If you follow me on ffnet or AO3 for my fanfiction (I’m so sorry that I haven’t updated in months!), I will make announcements for new updates here. The tags are #theredscreech update and #theredscreech writing  if you want to follow updates on my fanfiction or my original works respectively.
You’re also free to ask me questions (grammar is a particular hobby of mine), though if it’s something outside the realm of my experience, I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction. You’re also more than welcome to tag me in those little question games about writing. It’ll help me get more active in the community. :)
Thanks, everyone! I look forward to interacting more with you!

Regis and/or Dettlaff for the character headcanon meme (ya know, if a hundred others haven't already asked lol)
character meme (accepting!): under a read more due to length
Regis:
favorite thing about them:
besides his obvious kind heart & unflinching loyalty, i love how passionate he is about things!! dude’s been alive for 400+ yrs & he still wants to travel, to make friends, to learn, to teach, to heal, to share his interests & knowledge. he loves life–loves humanity (cdpr can miss me w/ his referencing humans as mosquitoes metaphor nonsense)–& is my favorite example of a good redemption story/character.
least favorite thing about them:
he can be… rather pretentious at times. but to his credit, he never really belittles or alienates anyone in the hansa–it’s more like he has a lot of ‘high-brow’ interests for the time/setting (not counting distilling, of course) & in sharing/explaining them, he goes a bit over the top. i don’t think it’s on purpose, but case in point… not everything has to be a lecture, ya know?
favorite line:
kinda cheating on this, but my favorite scene of anything ever is this one from lady of the lake:
“Well,” sighed Regis. “Have it your way. I’ll have to avoid mirrors and dogs, and will have to beware of sorcerers and telepaths… And if I’m still exposed, I’m counting on you.”“You can count on me,” Geralt said seriously. “I’m not in the habit of leaving a friend in need.”The vampire smiled and because they were alone, he did not hide his fangs. “Friend?”
now specifically from b&w, i like this line from Regis’ journal: People justify bad deeds by good intentions. I’m not sure if there is greater idiocy
brOTP:
geralt/regis (which you’ll also see in the otp section), regis/yen (goth-nerd solidarity & also they both love geralt so jot that down), & regis/angouleme (he’s a wonderful uncle figure to angouleme)
also if regis ever got to meet vesemir i’m 100% sure they’d have gotten along swimminglg
OTP:
geralt/regis–it’s my lifeblood babey
nOTP:
romance-wise, any regis/hansa member that isn’t geralt is just not my cup of tea as well as regis/dett****
random headcanon
after his second regeneration, he became wearier around unknown sorcerers/sorceresses/magic users (w/ the exception of yen). at one point, geralt had decided to light a candle near regis using igni w/o really thinking abt it & noticed that regis had visibly flinched. geralt apologized immediately & now lets regis know when he’s abt to light something using magic (’normal’ fires, those not started by magic, don’t bother him. so it’s less of an aversion to fire & more of an aversion to fire made thru magic).
unpopular opinion:
i don’t really like his sideburns or hairline–not bc i think the design is bad per se (i think it solidified his intro in b&w as a more scholarly character), but bc i think it ages him much more than necessary. when the other 2 higher vampires (dettlaff, orianna, hell–even the unseen elder), look much younger, then it just seems unusual imo. a middle-aged tax collector w/ a crooked nose is how sapkowski describes him & idk, i think cdpr just wanted to give regis a more stereotypical scholarly look instead of using descriptions from the books.
song i associate with them:
when i’m in an angst™ mood, this song is what makes me think of regis (& higher vampires in the witcher series in general). it’s called far from home (the raven) by sam tinnesz
favorite picture of them (i’m too lazy to do this but assume every picture of regis is my fave)
Dettlaff:
favorite thing about them
his hobbies! woodworking & building toys for kids is nice™; cdpr should’ve at least given us a tiny scene of him tinkering on stuff. presumably he has a caring nature given that he nursed regis back to health but once again, cdpr couldn’t be bothered to flesh out the interesting aspects of his character & instead gave us an albeit cool but ultimately unnecessary boss battle :/
least favorite thing about them
oof, his lack of patience & propensity towards violence. well, perhaps propensity is the wrong word; i mean that in a character who is powerful/deadly (in which even a brief lapse in judgement could mean death for another), a hair trigger temper is... not going to endear me to them. for instance, i don’t think that dettlaff went to tesham mutna with the intent of killing syanna--i don’t think he knew himself what he would do upon seeing her. BUT, he still did it--& i’m sorry but killing an unarmed/defenseless (presumably unarmed, but even if she were armed it wouldn’t change the fact that she was defenseless against him & dettlaff knew that) woman in a fit of rage (who yes, wronged dettlaff greatly) speaks of a deeper problem relating to his inability to process his emotions.
i originally thought that cdpr was going to do some cool parallels between dettlaff and geralt bc both have issues w/ emotion but in different ways (i.e., dettlaff has difficulty controlling his while geralt has trouble expressing them), but they shared maybe a handful of sentences w/ each other before the conclusion of the dlc so yeah D:
favorite line:
“If you acknowledge any gods... start praying, now.”
brOTP:
regis/dettlaff is pretty much it/the only relationship i find interesting in b&w for dett anyway
OTP:
dettlaff/character development
nOTP:
mentioned in regis’ list above, but i also am not a fan of geralt/dett
random headcanon:
his “pack” up until syanna consisted almost entirely of orphaned lower vampires. whether due to their family dying or abandoning them, dett’s reserved & calming demeanor makes it easier for LVs to trust him. he’s nursed plenty of injured LVs back to health & when he passed thru the remnants of stygga castle, he did so bc he originally thought that he was following the trail of an injured LV (having caught regis’ scent). it was only when he got closer that he recognized the ‘shapeless smear’ was regis--someone he hadn’t seen in centuries--& chose to help him heal despite how taxing it would be.
unpopular opinion
i don’t understand his popularity as a character or how his actions can be defended. his character design is great (i still wanna to buy his moth brooch tbh), he was voice acted very well, & there are hints of an interesting backstory esp in relation to why he chose to help regis regenerate, but that’s not the focus of the dlc.
if i have to rely on regis to explain why dettlaff is a good person/deserves redemption/etc., then that’s lazy writing. i love regis to death, but he, like anna henrietta, was blind to/didn’t want to see his loved one’s faults/misdeeds. u can’t make an unbiased character judgement on someone you’re close to and indebted to imo.
granted, regis himself is an example of dett’s charity since he is alive & well (& also is stressed af bc of dettlaff), but does one good deed wash away all the death he later commits in the attack on beauclair? motivation or not, murder is murder, plain & simple. i can forgive but not condone regis’ actions in his youth bc, arguably, regis was already punished severely for it & chose to change/become a better person. cdpr didn’t give us an option to allow dett to be punished for his crimes (in something other than death--which i don’t think he nor syanna deserve) or let us know if he eventually grows to be a better person w/ the help of regis & so i can only care for him in the respect that i mourn the character he (& syanna) could’ve been.
in summary: everything i dislike abt dettlaff is entirely due to a lack of care when it came to fleshing out his character. we only see him committing acts of violence/murder, never healing or helping. we see the fallout of his anger, see that he feels grief & even remorse (like in de la croix’s death), but it doesn’t excuse the act itself. ppl are more than welcome to like or love morally dark/dubious characters, but i have an issue when a morally dubious character is painted as good or good but misunderstood.
song i associate with them
the song inferno by sir sly gives me real dettlaff vibes: I think you clipped my wings to save me from the sunForgot my hands and knees, I had to learn a lessonOh fearless teacher how'd I ever lose my sightWhy'd I ever try to fight against your path?Somewhere at half my life, I wandered in the woodsCan't find a single right, I swear nothing is goodI'm blinded now and darkness shrouds my every sightWhy'd I ever try to fight for my own path?
favorite picture of them:
once again, too lazy to find one, but his final form in the boss battle was cool even if it kinda went against sapkowski’s lore.

D&D Ask Meme
@wisdom-fangs asked me to do all the questions of this D&D ask post. So I did. 1. A favorite character you have played. I really like playing monstrous characters. Currently in Adventurers League, I play Frattek Venvaris, bugbear rogue/barbarian, who is a delightfully goofy character. But I also miss playing Bajur Mashoir, a very charismatic lizardfolk "voodoo" shaman, whose catchphrase was: "As you can see, I am an alligator, sir..." spoken in a thick southern brawl. 2. Your favorite character that someone else has played. During a one shot the guy that played an evil halfling warlock sacrificed himself to blow up the big bad with a block of dynamite. The true MVP. 3. Your favorite side quest. Idk. 4. Your current campaign. I DM a homebrew campaign, in which the party is stuck between sides in a war between the local Jarl and a fey duchess who has taken over a part of the woods. I also participate as a player in a slight homebrewed Salt Marsh campaign, in which I play a tiefling cleric of Pelor. She's got a Sad Backstory. 5. Favorite NPC. The Loathesome Gribble, an NPC in the game I DM, who is a very small tiefling sorcerer with an immense knife collection and a four-armed aasimar monk girlfriend. He is found in the most of unlikely places and his signature spell is "Gribble's Hand of Sand", which may or may be not magical, as it blinds a creature with sand, but the material component is just a handfull of coarse sand. 6. Favorite death (monster, player character, NPC, etc). The druid in our home game charged into giant stag form at a huge burning construct (The Burning Man from Burning Man, but moving), missed his attack, upon which the Burning Man rolled nat 20's on BOTH ITS ATTACKS. No advantage, no nothing, just two straight 20's. He grabbed the stag by its antlers, turned its head 360 degrees, and dropped a flaming, mutilated dwarf to the ground. 7. Your favorite downtime activity. I always like to do something that tells a little bit about the culture of the creature I play. When I was on haitus because of school, I described how Frattek had spend some time with his little bugbear niece, and had just returned from a fun little war (seeing as bugbears love to fight). 8. Your favorite fight/encounter. We had to fight a vampire spawn in a dank, dark basement, but it was light outside, and Frattek is incredibly good at grappling creatures, so we dragged the vampire out from his basement into the sunlit street, and then made a run for it as we had broken into a house. 9. Your favorite thing about D&D. Coming together with friends and not drinking (a lot) or smoking weed. I like doing those things too, but it is also fun to just hang out and play games where heavy drinking is not really handy. 10. Your favorite enemy and the enemy you hate the most. Dragons are the best, spellcasters are the worst. Spellcasting Dragons are the bees knees. My players, however, are going to hate a certain spellcaster very much. Once they find out... 11. How often do you play and how often would you ideally like to play? Usually once a week, but I'd love to be able to balance twice a week. One day as player, one day as DM. 12. Your in game inside jokes/memes/catchphrases and where they came from. "Name and occupation, please" comes from when we played Pathfinder, and one of the characters died, but I didn't want to get rid of him yet or he was set up to be reincarnated or some shit idk. Anyway, his soul arrives in purgatory, which turns out to be this bureaucratic office, where he has to stand in line for a long, long time, before arriving at a booth/desk type situation, in which an Ophanim angel (one of them burning wheels full of eyes) floats that asks with a bored sigh "Name and occupation, please". The player answered, and was set up for reincarnation, which involved shooting his soul from a cannon/drop tube into the unborn baby of a local woman. The child grows up unnaturally quickly, and because it has the soul of a mature orc barbarian, it is more than a little trouble. Nephertheless, the "Name and occupation, please" gag remained forever. 13. Introduce your current party. My Homeboys, the Lords of Okab Volal, are Nazreen, a wood elf ranger who missed her wolf, played by @tabula-wasa, Tophr Thanestone, the previously mentioned dwarf druid who was murdered by a giant flaming effigy and subsequently reincarnated/put into the body of a frost elf woman (something he hasn't come to terms with) played by our bearded friend Glenn, and Adelon Vrena, half-elf bard/cleric/divine soul sorcerer a.k.a. Healer Supreme, who is really righteous but not above torturing a captive githyanki, and played by Arnaud. The Schadestenen (meaning "Damage Stones", as in dice), which is the OG Adventurers League group in the Spellenhoorn in Hoorn, consist of Aiden Rainbowscale (Albino orphan wood-elf monk/barbarian), Fjorgyn (dwarven cleric of Moradin, who died last week and still suffered from the Death Curse. RIP.), Frattek Venvaris (Bugbear barbarian/arcane trickster and gladiator/luchador, played by me), Gideon Thornton (cowardly Half-Orc Hexblade), Grommash Hellscream (Stereotypical Half-Orc Barbarian. Great guy.), Ruldra (disgraced Hobgoblin undead-hunting Ranger), Cadence (Powerful but stupid Half-elf Grave Cleric/Divine Soul Sorcerer who never learned how to read), Ullr (Arnaud's Gloom Stalker and Human Machine Gun), and Darin (half-elf ranger and Master Of Backflip). The Peeps from Salt Marsh, DMed by the guy that plays Darin, in which Arnaud plays William Wisenose, The Awfully Lucky Halfling Build (halfling wizard/bard/whatever), Cadence's player plays Sylver Ravenstar (half-elf bard/hexblade/run away princess), her friend plays Samm Enoch (Aasimar Bard and Very Handsome Man), Aiden's player plays Ankis (Aasimar Celestial Warlock and very secretive about both these facts because Back Story), and his friend plays Vena Malum (Human Bloodhunter, who is really buff and does that swirly thing with her falchions, and oh my...), Grommash's player plays Morgain of Astora (human paladin of Pelor, and companion/boyfriend/substitute son to my character), and I play Paytsarra Avèry (winged tiefling cleric of Pelor). Praise the sun. 14. Introduce any other parties you have played in or DM-ed. We had one party consisting of a drider, a very evil dwarf, a fire genasi, a gnome psychic, and a kenku ninja at one point. When the evil dwarf died, and I introduced the guy's new drow "medic", I knew I lost all cohesion of the group. 15. Do you have snacks during game times? My players do. I don't like snacks that much. 16. Do you play online or in person? Which do you prefer? In person. I tried playing online, and I think I would do again, but only if I'd have a really good headset. 17. What are some house rules that your group has? In the Salt Marsh campaign you double the value of the dice on a crit, which I think is disappointing. I just wanna roll a lot of dice :( 18. Does your party keep any pets? @tabula-wasa's ranger has a dire wolf...somewhere...
19. Do you or your party have any dice superstitions? Not that I know of. I do know some of my dice seem to roll better than others. 20. How did you get into D&D? How long have you been playing? I found a d&d character creation app on the web ages ago, and that sparked my interest. Later I joined a warhammer fantasy role play group with a friend I had been rp-ing online with a lot, but this was the real deal, at Arnaud's house. He dmed number of campaigns for us, and later he joined my pathfinder group which turned into a D&D 5th edition group. 21. Have you ever regretted something your character has done? Yeah. Frattek decided to be a hero and tried to assassinate an ogre torturer. He failed his shot. We had to fucking run. 22. What color was your first dragon? The first dragon I fought as a character was a young Red Dragon. Even at 5th level, we whooped its ass. He found himself in a cave, surrounded by fools, and we beat him to pulp. The first dragon I put in front of my players was a young White Dragon. It kicked their asses. 23. Do you use premade modules or original campaigns? I usually homebrew my own campaigns, but I have dmed some AL sessions. 24. How much planning/preparation do you do for a game? Not an incredible amount, but for my home game I prepare ideas months, even years, in advance. For DMs 25. What have your players done that you never could have planned for? A lot. The most notable was casting Dispel Magic on the demiplane-item the cultists were in... and then opening the demiplane underwater. 26. What was your favorite scene to write and show your characters. I had these zombies that always repeated the last thing they said before they died, which was cool and creepy. But the thing I really wrote out was the description of how an Astral Ship warps space around itself, and what that looks like from the people on the deck of the ship. 27. Do you allow homebrew content? If it's well written, absolutely, but there is a lot of shit out there. 28. How often do you use NPCs in a party? When it makes sense, but I try not to do that too often. 29. Do you prefer RP heavy sessions or combat sessions? I prefer RP sessions, but I am leaning more toward combat. On the other hand, I don't think it completely excludes each other nor should it. I am of the opinion that 30. Are your players diplomatic or murder hobos? Rather diplomatic, but they can definitely kick ass. For Players 31. What is your favorite class? Favorite race? I like casters, and I will always have an affinity for wizards, but arcane tricksters and eldritch knights are cool too. I like elves, and I like monstrous races; goblins, hobgoblins, bugbears. I like things that are pretty and scary, or creepy and goofy. 32. What role do you like to play the most? (Tank/healer/etc?) I usually mix a bit of tank and dps. I don't like being very frail, but I do enjoy doing a lot of damage in one shot. 33. How do you write your backstory, or do you even write a backstory? I tend to write a character from a concept, and then build out the backstory. How did this person become the person they are today? Even if you have something of a bugbear, or a hobgoblin, or a yuan-ti. They have had a childhood, they have role models, they have culture. But what is that? What defines a character? What makes them they way they are? I don't like playing monstrous races that have been adopted by a "better, nobler race" like humans and elves and dwarves. I get the appeal, but I also think it is a little trite, and a little condenscending, almost. I think a lot about what defines a monstrous identity, and being a Cultural Anthropologist, I think a lot about the way culture shapes the values and morality and thus also behaviour of a creature. Do hobgoblins tell their children bedtime stories? What are they about? How will a bugbear struggle in regular humanoid society, where his violent urges -natural to him- are equally, or even more excessively violently repressed and punished? Is this just for bugbears? Will they then look for each other, and find each other in their shared cultural/natural tendencies? Are there goblinoid lawyers or activist groups, that seek to protect other goblinoids from unjust treatment under laws that aren't theirs? How will your life be if you are a second or third or even fourth generation inhuman creature in a human society? Do they dream of returning to a society that is 'theirs'? And is there even such a thing? And if there is, will they actually fit in, or forever be an outcast, neither hob nor man? I tend to poke at such questions with my character backstories. 34. Do you tend pick weapons/spells for being useful or for flavor? Everything is useful, since everything is always situational. If you plan only for situations in which you are going to kill every living thing, then you shouldn't pick something like Rope Trick, or Magic Circle. But you do you. I very much dislike decoupling "flavour" from functionality. This is a game of make-belief, so everything you do is flavour. The mechanics are an abstraction of a fantastic reality, and though inherently important to the working of the game (without rules, it would merely be improvisation, which is also a kind of game, but schwa), it is all flavour. People that brag about how much average damage they can do with this or that specific build tire me. 35. How much roleplay do you like to do? All of the roleplay! But please let me punt goblins into the garbage sometimes!

Famous Last Words: Chapter 1
Word Count: 1821
Description: When soulmates find each other, they never drift apart. Even when the times keep them apart, they will always find each other in the end. Frank Iero is a 300 year old vampire who was turned by the love of his life who was burned with a stake through his heart, decides to return to Cooperstown where all of the events occurred. But little does he know his soulmate’s soul lives on inside a boy called Gerard Way
On with the story:
Frank’s P.O.V
This is the start of my 100th journal and it’s been 300 years since the man I loved died. I saw him scream in pain as the stake was stabbed through his ribs, and then barely alive he was being burnt alive.  I heard his dying thoughts which have been imprinted in my head as if it was yesterday that he died. I’m starting a new school again. It’s annoying for me but I have to act like a normal mortal don’t I? I mean Arthur didn’t die and tell me to leave he wanted to save me from that fate. So why would I be stupid enough to put myself in the position that got him killed?
High school really sucks as well and no matter how many times you repeat it, it’s always the same thing. But in all these centuries I’ve repeated high school I’ve had fun fitting in with different cliques. I mean like people think what clique you’re in defines your whole life but once high school is over they don’t matter and besides all the friends I had are dead.
But this repeat of high school is different for me like very different for me because I’m back in Cooperstown. The town my father who was a vampire hater helped found. It’s also the place where I met the immortal Arthur. Who looked the same as he did when he was 24. When I came back into the town I had to use some compulsion to get myself into my old house. I even found two random strangers to act as my parents. Because I still look like a 17 year old if I’m honest.
It’s a nice thing that I’m inside my old home, because it’s comforting that they haven’t changed any of it the whole interior is perfect.  And my old room still looks the same. This house has so many memories of my time with Arthur inside it. But thinking about it is pretty sad because well, I didn’t plan to spend my immortal life like this. I didn’t plan to be alone.
I can’t wait to walk into another hell, which will obviously be filled with stupid idiots, scary people and those stereotyped dump jocks. I can’t actually wait to walk into hell again.
Time skip: In Cooperstown high, Normal P.O.V
Frank walked into coopers town high, he didn’t really know who he was going to be, but he decided he’ll fit in with whatever clique found him first. On his way to the office to enter the school he spotted  a boy with black hair that just reached his shoulder, he looked exactly the same as Arthur did. From the soft cheek bones to the eyes. But as soon as he saw the boy he disappeared behind a door labelled principles office. Frank continued walking to the office. Once there he got his time table and locker key, Frank then decided to go to his lessons first and locker after a lesson.
Due to Franks plan, he was pacing down the halls, trying to find his English class room. Frank hated it, he hated being a 300 year old vampire. Sometimes he wished that he would have just died with his lover in the same way. He wished that times were different. He didn’t like it at all. Frank knew he was lucky to meet Arthur. But he couldn’t help but feel that it was his fault Arthur died.
“Hey, are you new?” asked a boy with lightly brown skin and brown hair that just reached the shoulder
“Yeah, the names Franklin. But I’d prefer it if you called me Frank” Frank replied
“I’m Vic” said the boy “and this is Kellin. If you’d like we’ll help you get to your next class”
“Thanks I’ve got English in room 102” Frank replied
“Oh that’s great news, me and Vic are in that class. But Miss is very annoying” Kellin stated
“That’s true” Vic added
“Anyway instead of talking about our annoying English teacher we should get moving. You know what she’s like if we’re late” Kellin said
“True. Also we have two hours and please, please, please, Kellin try not to sleep” Vic said
“I’d try but I dunno. The lessons can get quite boring Vic” Kellin added
“True” Vic replied “Come on Frank”
Break Time:
“Frank we’d like you to meet our squad” Kellin says “this is Patrick Stump, Pete wentz and Brendon Urie”
“Nice to meet you” Patrick greeted
“Sup dawg” Pete greets with one of those stupid grins on his face
“Hey, I’m Pete Wentz from chemistry” Brendon said a tad too excitedly
“Dude, I’m Pete Wentz, get fucked Brendon” Pete states while being really pissed off with Brendon
“Lol, I’m Frank Iero” Frank greeted
“So we now have three founding families in our clique” Patrick states
“Seriously, all we need now is one of the Way’s and we are the coolest” Pete said
“Pete, you will not be cool. If anything, you would be a pathetic excuse for cool” Brendon jokingly said
“Guys can we not start this argument again. It’s not going to end well like last time” Vic said “Anyways I’m out of her Patrick keep an eye on them”
“I’m just gonna join Vic” Kellin adds after Vic has walked away
“Yeah, go join your boyfriend” Brendon calls out
“Real mature Bren” Kellin fires back
“See you at lunch Kells” Patrick calls back
Time Skip: Lunch (I’m just to lazy)
Frank had to sit through two hours of boredom, chemistry and maths. Frank was in the same chemistry class as Brendon and the same maths class as Patrick, who really isn’t good at maths. Currently Frank, Kellin, Brendon, Pete and Patrick were in the que for lunch. The lunch hall had that typical clique layout. It’s pretty basic really. But it was okay for a town where everyone knew everyone. The lunch that they received at this school was defiantly not the best. Frank and his new friends sat down and then there was the dark-haired kid from earlier walked by their table.
“Who’s he?” Frank enquired
“Bad news” Brendon answered “no matter what your sexuality is”
“Why is he bad news?” Frank asked
“Well, for starters he’s the son of a founding family, the Way’s” Kellin lists “he hangs with Bert McCracken, the school’s dealer for pot and crack heads alike. He’s an asshole and will break you if you get to close”
“Woah” Frank says
“Yeah” Brendon adds
“So is there anyone else I need to stay away from?” Frank asks
“Nope” Kellin replies “Just that group”
“So, Frank, what’s your phone number?” Vic asks
“Pass your phone” Frank asks
“Here you go” Vic said as he passed his phone over to Frank, and Frank then adds his number into Kellin’s contacts list. “Here you go” Frank said.
“Thanks Frank”
“No problem Kellin” Frank said “So who’s got games next?”
“I do” Patrick replies glumly
“Same here” Pete chirps in
“I hate games” Patrick states
“Why?” Asked Frank
“oh, because I’m no good at sports. In fact, I’m so good at sports I want to start a band with Pete here who knows a lot about Music” Patrick answers
“Oh, guys pre-warning Gerard’s in your class, so Patrick please try not to get emotional when he makes fun of your size” Vic warned
Last lesson: Gym: Changing rooms
“Hey look the fatty and the bones have a new friend” Jeph whispers to Gerard
“Oh god who’d want to talk to them?” Gerard whispered back
“Just look how skinny the emo wannabe is” Jeph mocks
“Hey, Wentz, didn’t you know that breathing the air has calories?”  Gerard calls out
“Fuck off” Pete replied while throwing his gym shirt on and walking out with Patrick trailing behind
“So what’s your name?” Jeph asks Frank
“Frank” Frank replies
“So Frank what are you doing with those two trash bags?” Gerard asks
“They’re my friends” Frank responds
“Are they really?” Gerard asks
“Yeah” replies Frank while looking at his face. In that moment Frank realised that Gerard had an exact resemblance to Arthur.
Time skip: After school: Group chat
Living_meme: So how was your talk with Gerard?
Funghoul: It was strange, he asked me why I was friends with you guys and then questioned that
Fedora: Seriously he questioned our friendship
Fedora: He’s never questioned anyone who they’re friends with before. Not even the past new kids
That_forehead_guy: Except his own brother Mikey about being friends with Vics brother Mike
Because_Im_mexican_im_better: That’s true it was strange even then though
Fedora: That much can be said
Living_meme: Anyways Frank have you taken an interest to anyone in the school yet, or do you have someone waiting on you?
FunGhoul: to answer those questions I’m going to say no
Living_meme: Have you ever been in love with someone?
FunGhoul: Yeah, Why?
Fedora: Pete why are you asking such personal questions
Living_meme: I dunno I’m just curious
Living_meme: So Frank what where they like?
FunGhoul: He was everything to me. Just amazing. I’d never thought I’d meet a guy like him
Living_meme: Seriously?
Funghoul: Yeah
That_forehead_guy: Wow
Your_Kellin_me: Did anyone hear the news?
Because_Im_mexican_Im_better: What news?
Your_Kellin_me: There’s a party being thrown this Saturday
That_forehead_guy: Who’s throwing it?
Your_Kellin_me: Lindsey
That_forehead_guy: We’re invited
Your_Kellin_me: Yeah
Because_Im_mexican_im_better: Great, Gerard is there
Fedora: Holy smokes though
Living_meme: Gerards gonna be there
FunGhoul: Let me guess because Gerards there you don’t wanna go
That_forehead_guy: Oh we’ll still go. Besides I’m going either way because you should never threaten me with a good time
Living_meme: Do you think they’ll be champagne and cocaine
Because_Im_Mexican_Im_better: Well, Gerard’s there, Bert might go so cocaine is a possibility. Champagne always
Fedora: Brendon when you go out please don’t get so drunk you pass out in a drain pipe
That_forhead_guy: That was one time
Your_kellin_me: remember when you and Pete roamed the city in a shopping cart?
That_forehead_guy: That was live
Living_meme: yes it was
Because_I’m_mexican_im_betetr: Remember when you lost a bet to a guy in a chiffon skirt?
That_forehead_guy: yeah, but I made those high heels work
Fedora: And there was that one time you believed you were raising hell
Living_meme: that was so funny
Because_Im_mexican_im_better: Oh My God
Your_kellin_me: I’ve go it on video
That_forehead_guy: OMG you still haven’t deleted it
Your_kellin_me: Nope
That_forehead_guy: I hate you
FunGhoul: Brendon it seems that you have quite the drunk history
That_forehead_guy: yes I do and I am so proud of it
That_forehead_guy: If I wanted to I could put it into a song
Living_meme: That’ll be such a good song
Fedora: It’ll be funny as well
Your_Kellin_me: Breadbin you should so do that
That_forehead_guy: It’ll be amazing
That_Forehead_guy: I’ll be famous
FunGhoul: Big dreams but a bigger forehead
FunGhoul: I think you’ll be famous for that forehead
That_forehead_guy: I could be you never know
