Hey there, dear author! Just wanted to check in and tell you how glad I am to have these daily asks back; they do wonders to keep me daydreaming while I wait for the updates.

I think it's already been said, but your character customization and all the variables presented in the game are an absolute wonder! I don't think I have ever had as much fun code diving for secrets as I have with your game. I really LIKE seeing the numbers go up. I did multiple playthroughs already just to see how high I could get each stat and can't wait to do them all over again at every update.

I already have the optimal path for my main MC so he can have a 40+ body, 30+ mind, and 20+ in both charisma and magic.

Your characters are also so cool! We have only really interacted much with Adrian and Merlin, but I already feel so much for them, especially Adrian. I want to keep him safe from the world so bad. Can't wait to meet the other members of the circle!

That reminds me of the time I was obsessed with the Keeper series and the Lost Heir trilogy. I'm pretty sure I saw all the possible variables multiple times just to mix and match stuff. I can't wait to put in hundreds of hours into OKS just like I did back then.

Thanks for the compliments! They're always appreciated especially when one reaches the "why am I even doing this?!" part of the creation process.

The skills numbers are pretty much set now outside of the training sessions during Free Time (except for Magic which is still newly budding and thus vacillating). Plenty of other numbers still going up and down, though!

Hopefully the introduction of the other Harbingers will take some of the heat off Adrian a bit. (Adrian says hi, plz do not be attacking two-story hellhound for his sanity)

how would the cast react to an MC who has a habit of writing notes on themself? little stuff like an appointment or something they wanted to search up later, but didnt have the time to write a proper note on something more convenient?

secondarily: when romancing them, would any ROs be okay with being written on- like a little heart/stars, or "interesting" or "cutie" etc? (or more provocative phrases in easily-hidden spots, if you're comfortable answering! ;>.>)

Chapter 2 Part 4 - The Free Time Hub

As this hub will become available once every chapter from this point onwards, you'll be able to run through it around 1 – 4 times (depending on if you're slothful, if you had to take a detour on the road, if one of the ROs triggers an additional scene with you etc.) before the game moves on.

I advise players to make a save file right before entering Free Time so you can try out the many, many, many different options and see which ones you'd like to keep for your canon run, particularly if you're not getting the full four slots of free time.

Also, keep in mind that certain choices need to be triggered by previous flags (i.e. to have the extended discussion with Merlin about the First or Second Circles requires you to successfully research them in the Internet Hub first)

Make sure to clear your cache for the oneknightstand.co website and check that the start page is displaying Version 0.24. Then check the Status menu to make sure your stats haven't been reset to default.

If your stats have reset to the default ?¿?¿?¿ values, it means that particular save has corrupted, and you'll have to use another one (as proceeding with a corrupted save will just give you a bunch of nonexistent error messages).

(Since there were bugs & typos fixed throughout Chapter 1 & 2, your current saves are probably going to reset to the beginning of each section of the game. If things get too wonky, you might want to try restarting from the beginning. )

Also, of course, I found a bunch of typos in Chapter2-3 after I uploaded it to my website today, so there went my morning fixing that. 💀

With the release of the free time sessions and Adrian's confession scene, I wanted to ask: Is our reincarnation actually going to matter? (In terms of MC and Adrian, I mean).

I don't mind the reincarnation knowledge coming back and fucking things up (in fact, I welcome the reincarnation reveal bringing even more drama to the already-hanging-by-a-thread group), but I'd be really disappointed if MC ends up having a reincarnation with no ties to Adrian considering he stalks you in the current time even if y'all aren't friends

At the same time, I don't know how you can make all 4 of the reincarnation iterations neatly tie into Adrian's reincarnation since it's been mentioned before that his is fixed.

To be fair, I don't know Arthurian lore, so maybe it's actually really easy to give Adrian a past life that fucked over four separate people that were all really important to him 😂

Well, Adrian certainly thinks it's going to matter, since he's fobbing off love-confession!MC until after everyone gets their memory back. There will always be a "You know, I just don't care..." option for the MC, but... ( ⚆﹏⚆ )

Yes, the MC's reincarnation matters. I picked everyone's incarnations for very good reasons. My original plot draft of the story didn't even use their modern names at all, but their original Arthurian ones.

Adrian is the already established crush/friend/acquaintance/stalker for a very good reason, instead of any other of the Harbingers.

hiiii! i saw your post from a month ago about being shadowbanned and the same just happened to me today. could i ask how long it took for the issue to get resolved for you?

Sorry to hear that! It's such a huge pain if you already had the account established too. But at least you have another account you can use to post things? When this account was shadowbanned, they ended up shadowbanning the temp account I created for updates too.

I was shadowbanned on May 3rd and was part of the mass unshadowbanning they did of accounts on June 24th, so almost two months for me. But there are a bunch of people over at r/Tumblrhelp who've been shadowbanned for much longer than that. There used to be Tumblr staff on r/Tumblrhelp for such things, but the official Tumblr account there went dead earlier in the year with the mass layoff, but there's a lot of people in the same circumstances that you can talk to over there. Also, apparently the official Tumblr Twitter account can't help either.

So what I learned is to send a support ticket through the Tumblr website.

Don't use the Terminated Account topic, as that supposedly never gets any replies. I used Report a Bug, although Account Access and Social Features have also been recommended for shadowbanning.

Don't send in repeated tickets from the same account. Apparently that gets your account/e-mail address flagged as spam, so support never sees the ticket.

If you have a different Tumblr account that has a different e-mail address attached to it besides the one on the shadowbanned account, use that account to send in the support ticket instead. I never heard back on this account regarding the shadowban (not even the automated message saying the support ticket had been received) but the support ticket I sent from an old fandom blog I still had access to that I signed up with a different e-mail address was the one that they contacted. Since the shadowbanned account has been marked as spam, its support tickets might not be getting through

Otherwise, best of luck and I hope things go quicker for you than they did for me! (Also, were you using a VPN when your account got shadowbanned? I and a bunch of others who got hit around May 3rd were)

Regarding the past of true amnesia and childhood abandonment: Will we learn about our MC's true parents? Particularly Changeling!MC (I assume Changeling!MC stole the real child's body in the past from accident and abuse 🙊)

If the MC's original birth parents are important to the plot/narrative (and they definitely are in certain background variations), then they will come up. If they're just Joe McSchmoe who has no important outside of siring MC, then no, you really won't get much more info about them.

okay im going to write down all my thoughts about who the saboteur is rn so anyone who has ideas can help build off of each other

i do not think that it is merlin because i dont think that it makes sense with the actions we have so far seen him take. merlin could easily kill the player and adrian and could have easily let either die to the hellhound. if his goal is to prevent the circle, hes doing an absolutely shit job at it. additionally, he starts off powerful when other characters are relatively human at this point in the story, so he could easily cause unfixable problems for the majority of the cast, which would end the story too fast

i do not think that it is 404. that would be way too obvious as we already know that 404 is primarily antagonistic at least for the first book

i do not believe it is arthur because he is sealed away and has already aided the player by revealing the demon mark

i do not think it is vivian bc shes sealed away and also incredibly powerful(like merlin)

broderick seems unlikely bc if his goal is to cause issues with the circle, he would likely find that easier to do from within the group, and his strong reluctance against joining seems to be in opposition to this. broderick is not out of the running though, because he could have some other kind of plan here

percy is entirely a wild card. i have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on with him

adrian also seems unlikely due to his apparent connection to merlin. if merlin is not the saboteur but adrian is, its possible that merlin would have some idea of who adrians past incarnation is and would know if that was an issue. atm my current theory is that adrian was a part of the last circle and blames merlin for it going wrong. if that is the case, its possible that adrian is now actively choosing to work against merlin because of this

lorelei is currently one of the more suspicious in my opinion. according to her description, she can beat a lesser hellhound with a mop, which seems unlikely to me, even though shes an olympian archer(i dont know how well that translates to mop. is she also a martial artist or something?)

gwen is suspicious to me purely based on vibes. shes supposed a sunshine and rainbows romantic who was found in an abandoned asylum? hella suspicious my guy. no way youre actually that sweet

cassandra is a little strange. yeah she seems to be rather suspicious of everyone but thats pretty reasonable. minus points for being a cop.
