The sound of the horses of the carriage filled your ears as soon as you woke up.

How could there be horses when you were sure you were inside a lecture hall?

“Young master I’m glad you’re awake. We are nearing Viscount Tolz’s territory.”

Viscount Tolz? That sounds familiar, but you can’t quite put your finger on it as you just woke up.

You observed the unfamiliar place you woke up in. You seem to be inside a carriage, years of reading manhwas, manhuas, mangas and web novels have gotten you familiar as to what they looked like. 

Observing the interior a bit more, you notice that the carriage you are in seems luxurious. That and the servant riding a horse outside the carriage window just called you “young master”. 

‘Did I transmigrate? I swear I was just nodding off during one of my lectures…’

“You. What date is it? My head feels fuzzy from sleeping in this uncomfortable carriage.”

‘I’ve rotten my brain reading that damn isekai genre. I already know the drill, I should be a villain or something. I guess I should be glad I didn’t end up as an animal, those things have gotten popular these days…’

You silently shivered at the thought of being a bird or a snake.

“I’m sorry about the seat young master. You’re custom cushion should be arriving tomorrow. As for the date, it is currently year 780 of the Felix Calendar.”

By the calendar mentioned you could already tell what series you transmigrated to. There was only one series you know that uses Felix Calendar.

Contrary to what you say, the seat is very soft and comfortable. However, if you really did transmigrate as a villain like in all those manhwas you’ve read then you figured you have to act as bratty as possible. 

“I understand young master. We are nearing the villa soon, I’m sure young master Neo has prepared your room so you can rest.”

Out of all the small villains in existence you just had to steal the body of a dragon abuser. You just had to get in the body of Venion Stan.

Venion out of all people. Even Neo Tolz or Adin or Duke Fredo would’ve been better picks.

But no, the gods of this world just had to put you in the body of an atrocious villain that has no use.

Never mind running away in the countryside while enjoying all the inheritance, there’s no way that black dragon is going to leave you alone.

…And for sure the black dragon is already 3 years old, there’s no saving you now. Anger and despair are already planted in that poor baby’s heart.

Everything moved too quickly to your liking. One moment you were in the carriage, then next Neo was greeting you. After you blinked you’re already in the black dragon’s cell.

‘Can I survive a year before Cale comes here to get the dragon?’

The black dragon can’t use mana, let alone dragon fear. But his vicious gaze full of animosity is already enough to make you feel guilt and fear.

He looked so pitiful. The cell might be spacious, but a cage will still be a cage. He was just there, in the middle of the cell. Chained and unable to fight back.

The buffet in the middle doesn’t help the queasiness you feel in your stomach.

“Do-”

‘Don’t bother with it, I won't be visiting the dragon further.’

The words you want to say are stuck in your throat. Some unknown force is stopping you from uttering them out.

You figured it was so that things would still go according to the plot.

‘I know I wasn’t the greatest in my previous life, but was I so bad that I must experience this?’

Tap Tap Tap

Heels of your shoes tapped against the ground as you walked towards the table. You tried to stop your body, but it was useless. No matter how hard you try to stop yourself you just keep moving.

“Start.”

Your voice- no Venion’s voice said and the torturer started whipping the dragon.

Gulp

There’s a bile in your throat threatening to show itself. However, you swallowed it. The scene may look horrendous, but you didn’t look away. You didn’t stop eating the feast in front of you. You didn’t stop laughing at the small dragon’s demise.

More like you couldn’t.

You wanted to cry. You wanted to go back to your world and curl up in your bed. You wanted all of this to be a dream.

‘Is this the doing of the gods? If so then why must they be cruel.’

“Is there anything else you want to do young master?”

“No just go out. All of you. I will follow in a short while”

Following your order, everyone in the dungeon started heading out. After a few seconds, there was no one but you and the dragon in the room.

Bleurgh!

As soon as there was no one else in the room you vomited. Good thing there was a bathroom attached in the dungeon. The bathroom door was wide open as you puked your gut out, showing the black dragon a view of your pale face. Despite that you didn’t care, your only focus was to get rid of the horrible feeling running through your body.

It’s not as if the dragon would care about its torturer.

That night you spent the entire time in your bed tossing and turning. Too tired to sleep but too scared to face the nightmares you have to combat every time you do.

“Go find a magician or something and commission a temperature-regulating device. I want it installed at the cave before we visit the Tolz territory again.”

“As you wish your highness. However, aren’t you spending a bit too much on a mere pet?”

“You dare think I’m buying all these things for that pesky dragon? I’m buying it for my own comfort, you should be aware of how I want to be comfortable all the time.”

“It seems I made a mistake. I shall prepare everything you desire for the next time you visit the villa.”

Six months has already passed since you became Venion Stan. Adjusting wasn’t easy, especially when there are more times when you can’t control your body than when you can.

But still, you persevered.

It wasn’t like you had a choice anyway. You have already taken over this body so you have to live in it. That and there’s also the fact that you want the original plot to go smoothly.

You want the black dragon to experience justice.

So you persist. Even when the atrocities you did make you puke. Even when you want to kill yourself.

You didn’t

It wasn’t right.

You may not be the original Venion Stan, but it wouldn’t be right to take away the revenge the black dragon deserves. That was why you decided to persevere.

Persevere now and suffer at the dragon's hands later before finally dying.

That was your plan.

You didn’t care about other things anymore. Money, territory, power; none of those things mattered to you anymore. Too disgusted with yourself and everything you have been doing to even attempt to enjoy those things.

However

There’s a silver lining in all of this.

After a month of being in your new body, you have found a loophole. You found a way to combat some of the restrictions to your actions. As long as you sound selfish and villainous enough, you can get away with saying and doing most things.

Using this knowledge to your advantage, you slowly made life for the dragon easier. You bought a lot of things such as cushions, a more comfortable collar, and the temperature-regulating device you just ordered. You also used this fact to lessen your hold on both Taylor Stan and the underworld.

“Venion, I heard you withdrew the people watching over your older brother.”

You scowled at Marquis Stan’s words as if the mere mention of Taylor Stan upsets you.

“Father, what can that cripple do? He has no legs, no power, and barely has any money. Putting people to watch over someone like that will only be a waste of resources.”

Luckily, the marquis agreed with your reasoning and let the situation go while praising how smart you are.

‘Hopefully by this Taylor Stan can gather more information now that my people are now hovering over him.’

That night you managed to sleep for approximately 30 minutes. The longest sleep you’ve experienced since coming over to this world.

Bleurgh!!

It was another torture session and once again you were vomiting everything you ate that week after the session. 

While you were busy trying to not make a mess on the bathroom floor, you didn’t notice a certain young dragon observing you.

He may be three years old and he may not know much but his still smart because he's a dragon. That was why he noticed the changes in his captor that started around 8 months ago. 

The young dragon noticed the hesitation in your eyes whenever you entered the dungeon. How you were puking from self-hatred and not because of how bad the food was like you said. How your laugh is soulless, especially when he’s being tortured. 

How you stagger the slightest bit while standing up after those sessions. How your hands shook ever so slightly from guilt. How you tried to make the cell as comfortable as possible for him despite saying you were doing it for your own comfort. 

How your eyes look more lifeless each time he sees you.

The young dragon noticed all of it. He may not know what caused the change, but he knows that everything you’re doing is against your volition.

“Fuck I lost my appetite already. I’m going back to my room. Feed those scraps to that dragon.”

You ordered your servants on your way out. Walking as if your entire body wasn’t shaking ten seconds ago.

The black dragon just watches you with observant eyes. 

The “scraps” you were talking about were the feast that was barely even touched. It had always been like this for a few months now. You would barely touch your food and give it to the dragon in the guise of treating him like a dog.

For now, the young one accepts the food. He’ll figure out your intentions later.

“Lessen the guards at the dungeon. Remove all the cushions too, I’m going to change them. Do the same thing to the dragon’s collar too. While you’re at it increase the guards stationed at my quarters. Put the guards in the cave to my room.”

It’s the fated day. Time passed and now is already the day the black dragon will be rescued by Cale, Choi Han, and the cat tribe children. You already met them earlier and acted as arrogant as you could.

Hence the preparation. You need to make it look like the dragon was kept in a horrible condition. Of course, he was… but like much more worse conditions.

“Assassins have been increasing their attempts lately. If I see someone assigned to my room not doing your jobs I’m going to feed you to the sharks. Oh, and you.”

You pointed at a random servant passing by.

“Here’s some gold, buy some alcohol from the inn. Don’t tell anyone I was the one who bought it.”

“May I ask what you’re going to do with the alcohol young master?”

Everyone knows that Venion Stan deemed things not noble enough as disgusting. But you felt guilty for pushing that old man around earlier so you made an excuse.

“Depends on my mood. I’m feeling generous so if you all guard my room tonight then I’ll give you the alcohol tomorrow to drink.”

Everyone held in their shock.

“But if you don’t then I’m going to throw each bottle in your heads while drinking real wine.”

With that, you turned around to lie down on your bed.

That night was the same as every other night you spent in this world. Sleepless. However, that night you felt some weight being lifted off your shoulders as you heard the ruckus Choi Han was causing outside.

‘He should be curled up in Cale’s lap while looking at me viciously’

You stealthily peeked at Cale as you walked towards your seat. Just a moment ago he was trying to rile you up by acting obnoxious. It was hard to try and act like you were keeping your composure when you agreed with everything he said.

“What the..!” 

‘Shit did I not put enough strength into my acting?’

You barely felt your blonde hair sway as you slapped the table in supposed shock at Taylor Stan’s entrance.

‘Maybe I should’ve forced myself to eat a little bit more before coming here…’

Gritting your teeth, you ignore the black spots dancing in your vision. Today is a vital day, you can’t ruin the script by fainting because you only ate 3 spoonfuls during breakfast.

Luckily, it looks like everything is going according to the plot. Based on everyone’s reaction, you looked like an enraged noble.

Days following that event were even more chaotic. Not only was the terrorist attack in the plaza terrifying but trying to act as if you were trying to hold on to your position when you just wanted to give it to Taylor was even tougher.

As usual, you persevered.

Comforted yourself at the thought that in a few months, you can embrace death’s sweet presence.

“Do I look different without the blood?”

You felt scared and relieved at the sight of the black dragon that now goes by Raon Miru.

Scared because even though you have resigned yourself to your fate, and felt like you deserve it even, you still feel fear for what’s about to come.

Relief because he looks healthy. Chubby even. You were glad that he was living a good life after he got away from you.

Disregarding your feelings, you let the poisonous fog into your body. Resigning yourself to the four days of hell waiting.

Ugh…

Your body feels sluggish when you wake up.

“What the… It hasn’t even begun yet why does that bastard’s eyes already look dead?”

“That’s what I was telling you human! That punk's eyes tell a different story from his actions.”

Soft. Whatever you were lying down on felt soft. It wasn’t like what you’ve read in the novel where Venion was lying down on the hard ground. The magic collar was also soft. It felt similar to the one you bought for Raon a year ago. 

You would know because you made sure to pick the softest one yourself.

“His eyes look more dead than when I last saw him at that cave.”

Eyes? Were they talking about yours?

You didn’t know. You didn’t care.

You just want everything to end.

Gasp!

Someone gasped, you think it was one of the kittens.

“T-tears! Why is he crying? I only put paralysis in poison earlier.”

Crying? You were crying?

You sit up. It was hard because of the chains tying your arms but you still did it.

As you look down on your lap, tears are indeed flowing.

‘Why am I crying? Wasn’t I waiting for this day?’

Everything was already planned in your head. You get tortured then you will go crazy. Then you will kill yourself and make everyone believe you did it because you’re crazy.

So why are you crying now?

Why are you in tears as if you don’t deserve what’s happening to you?

Why do you weep as though you haven’t committed several crimes this past year?

How dare you do so.

How dare you act so pitifully when the child you tortured is right in front of you?

Beacrox unlocked the magic collar. As he did you saw it falling on the ground.

“Ah, so there really was fur inside…”

Your voice sounded soulless. It sounded so dead that even you were shocked at how you sounded.

But it also felt cathartic.

After two years of trying to act lively. Two years of acting as if you were fighting for something.

You can finally let out your real emotions.

Two years. It took more than two years for you to be granted that privilege. 

“Speak. I heard you bought the same thing for Raon.”

“You really named him Raon…”

Beacrox grabbed your collar. He looked furious. If you remember things correctly, he just heard about the dragon’s story a while ago so you understand his feelings.

“He told you to answer. Why did you buy something like that after 3 years?”

“I was getting tired of looking at the hard metal… There was nothing in that cave but stone and metal…”

Your tears are still flowing. It looks like they were crying a whole year’s worth. 

Despite that, you were not shaking, nor were your eyes looked sad.

Contrarily, you looked like those creepy dolls with soulless eyes that cried in horror films.

That low-key scared everyone in the room.

“Before, when I was three, I saw you shaking every time you came to the cave. Why was that?”

What’s happening? Why is there a sudden interrogation? You signed up for torture not for a cross-examination.

Still, you answered the dragon.

“I can’t tell.”

“Is it related to how you can’t seem to say what you want at times?”

Just how much did that kid notice in the few times you visited him?

“Yes. When are you going to get started? I need to meet with my hyung after this…”

Meet him and then die.

So please hurry up already.

“Hey punk, you sound like you already know what’s going to happen.”

“It’s obvious. This place looks exactly like that damn cave.”

You were getting tired of talking.

Actually, you were tired. Period.

“But it doesn’t look like how I left the cave when you rescued him.”

“Yes, because that wasn’t how the cave I lived in looked like. It looked like this.”

And the “this” Raon was talking about felt more homey. There were soft lights and a bunch of pillows and cushions. There were even some stuffed toys and blankets.

Was this how you decorated Raon’s cave?

You can’t remember.

Not that you care.

“Can we get started already please?”

“I thought you were a sadist, not a masochist.”

Something snapped inside you at that moment. You didn’t know why it was Choi Han’s comment that riled you up. Maybe it wasn’t the comment but the waiting that set you off.

“Just do it already! Are you dumb?! This fucking plot will not move unless you fucking torture me!”

In that moment you felt a searing pain in your chest.

“Argh!”

Blood flowed out from your mouth.

‘So that’s what happens when I try to push the restrictions.’

Coughing out blood when you’re body was already weak from not eating and sleeping enough was bound to cause you to faint.

And faint you did.

“Young master Cale said you were unconscious for 4 days. The doctor told me you were both malnourished and fatigued. One of your servants confessed that it’s an achievement if you eat 4 spoonfuls every meal. The young master also mentioned how it seems like you were forced to do everything you’ve done… Just what is happening? Hmm? Tell this hyung of yours.”

“Hyung…”

In the end, you didn’t get tortured…

“What’s going to happen now? What’s going to happen to me?”

You diverged from the fate carved out for Venion Stan.

That made you scared.

The restriction placed upon you to prevent you from straying from the plot scared you.

“Everything will be okay. But you need to tell me what’s going on.”

Taylor Stan hugged you, and you felt disgusted with yourself that you dare find warmth and comfort in that hug. Disgusted that you dared cry in front of him when you tried to kill him in the past.

But you couldn’t help it.

You couldn’t help that your hyung was soft and caring even though he was stern and strict. 

“I’m scared hyung. I’m a horrible person.”

As you speak you notice Cale in the corner of the room. He was trying to go out to give you two some privacy.

“Please stay.”

‘You deserve to hear the truth too.’

Cale stopped moving at your words. 

At that moment you decided to spill everything. Venion Stan’s role was already done. Even if it wasn’t, you already strayed from the path written for him. So you’re pulling all stops now.

“I’m a horrible person that did horrid crimes. I know that, I did them with my own hands after all. But I didn’t want to do them.”

You felt that stinging pain slowly coming back.

“There are times when I can’t control the things I say or do. No matter how hard I try my body won’t listen to me.”

The taste of blood in your mouth is back. You tried to act as calm as possible and nonchalantly spit it out in a napkin as if you were just wiping your mouth.

“I think it’s the god’s doing. It’s fated that I must be a bad guy for everything in the future to work out.”

You wiped your mouth again.

“I couldn’t resist it. But I found a loophole.”

Wipe

“If I make it look like what I was doing is villainous then my movements will not be restricted as much.”

“So when you removed the people watching over my residence..?”

You nodded while wiping your mouth once again.

However, this time Taylor snatched the napkin out of your hands.

“You’re bleeding..!”

“Ah…”

You were wiping so much blood that it already seeped out. Causing for Taylor and Cale to see the blood.

“I should’ve used a darker colour…”

“Stop talking. I’ve already heard everything I need to know.”

“I have nothing else to say to you anyway.”

The two men started walking out of the door when you called out to someone.

“Young master Cale, can you please stay? I must tell you something.”

The marquis and the young master exchanged a glance before one of them left the room.

“What is it?”

At Taylor’s exit, Raon undid his invisibility.

“It’s not fate.”

Cale and Raon looked at you as if you’d lost your head. Honestly, you wish you did. Being beheaded right now is better than living with these horrible feelings.

“It’s plot. You should know what I’m talking about.”

Luckily, Marquiss Stan left the napkin so you could wipe your mouth again.

“I think the universe, not the gods, made a mistake with me. But despite their mistake, they are insistent on going with the plot laid out.”

You discarded the napkin. It’s already drenched with too much of your blood that it can’t be used anymore.

“But don’t worry. This plot is very beneficial to you. You just have to follow whatever you think is right. You can disregard whatever anyone says. Even if that anyone is a god.”

‘Unlike me’

Cale handed you a handkerchief and you wiped your mouth with it.

“Lastly, I’m sorry Raon Miru-nim. My only choice was to either keep torturing you or throw you out. I couldn’t throw you out, because if I did then you wouldn’t meet the young master.”

“It’s okay… I am great and mighty so I figured out long ago that you were being forced.”

“Thank you.”

With that the dragon became invisible again and the two head out of the room.

Cleanup was easy. Of course, it was. Everything was already planned out beforehand.

The previous marquis was arrested and his people were successfully rooted out. You got sentenced to house arrest.

Meaning, you got a slap on the wrist.

It confused you. Why did you get such a light sentence when you did so many horrible things? It didn’t even feel like house arrest because your hyung always kept you by his side and personally took care of you.

“How about you? How are you and your brother doing?”

You heard Cale speaking on the other side of the communication device. But you just kept your head low and stared at your palms, unmoving.

“That…”

Marquis Stan hesitated.

“His been listless since that day. I checked with an expert and they said his in a catatonic state.”

You blur out the rest of their conversation. It wasn’t like there was a need to listen anyway. There’s nothing for you to do now. Your role is done but you can’t die.

You're tired.

So so fucking tired.

Tired of waking up. Tired of moving. Tired of thinking. Tired of breathing.

Tired of living.

So you opted to not move. Tune out the world around you. Maybe if you’re lucky they’ll leave you to rot in that lavish room of yours.

“Your eyes look more lively today. Do you have enough energy to speak?”

You blinked once. Then twice. You don’t know how many days have passed already. All of them look like a giant blur in your mind.

For the first time in a while, you moved your body to look at your surroundings.

As you take in your surroundings you notice that there’s a storm outside. That and Taylor Stan seem to have put you in the wheelchair he used to use.

“Taylor Stan…”

“Call me hyung.”

Did you deserve to? Well, it doesn’t matter since he ordered you to.

“Hyung”

“Yes, my dongsaeng?”

“Why won’t you kill me?”

The wheelchair stopped in its tracks. It was because the one pushing it stopped walking.

“Why would I kill you?”

“Why would you not kill me?”

You had no way of knowing just how scared Taylor was at this moment. Your voice sounded so soulless. As if you were asking about the weather and not about your death. He was already scared that one day he would just wake up to find you dead. Your questions and your way of asking them are not helping his fear.

“I told you, I wouldn’t kill my family.”

“Ah…”

Silence lingered as the two of you went to your room. Inside, the first thing you noticed was the door on the wall.

“That’s a connecting door. It’s connected to my room.”

“Very fitting for a criminal like me that needs to be monitored at all times.”

“That’s not…”

Taylor Stan chose to sigh instead of answering. After he did, he called the servants to help you with your nighttime routine.

“You all can go now, I’ll take it from here.”

Servants filed out of your room as your brother took the brush from a servant's hand.

“You know that this is useless right?”

“Why is that?”

Taylor continued brushing your blonde hair that now reaches past your shoulders.

“It’s not like I’ll sleep. There’s never a night where I slept for more than 30 minutes. I think.”

“Maybe if I stay by your side you’ll sleep better.”

You didn’t respond. You just watched in the mirror how your hyung gently brushed your hair. At some point, you pulled your legs up to your chest and started hugging them.

Taylor Stan didn’t seem to mind your movements. In fact, he seems to encourage them.

“Let’s eat dinner now. Do you want to walk?”

“No.”

The mere thought of moving more than you already did makes you feel nauseated.

Your hyung nodded and started pushing the wheelchair again. As he did the sight of the food prepared on your table caught your eyes. It wasn’t a feast like how you were served in the past.

Instead, there were just two simple identical meals on the table.

It reminded you of how you used to eat your meals back on earth.

“You’re eating too?”

“I haven’t eaten yet. I figure we can eat together since Cage is not here.”

She must be in the super rock’s villa or something.

Eat together was what you did. Well, more like Taylor ate while you take a few bites and play with your food.

“Do you not want to eat anymore?”

“No.”

“It’s fine, just leave it there. You already ate thrice more than you usually would. It’s okay to take it slow.”

That’s true. You ate 10 spoonfuls today when you would usually just take a bite or two. Three at most.

Maybe a gentle company and a simple meal did the trick. But you aren’t sure.

After the meal, you brushed your teeth before lying down on the bed. Taylor was sitting on a couch beside your bed as promised.

That night, for the first time since you arrived in this world, you managed to sleep almost the whole night.

No but seriously imagine this- one of you had this plain steel ring, nothing special or anything just collecting dust at the bottom of your bags. Honestly, you don’t even remember which one of you it originally belonged to

When you first met, one of you had stolen the ring from the other to prove they were “superior with their hands” to the other. Eventually, it became a game between the two of you, every few days stealing this little trinket from each other. And bragging until the other stole it back. It didn’t matter whether either of you wore it on your fingers, around your necks, or even hiding it in folds of clothing. Neither could hold onto it for more than a week before the other snatched it up 

The most memorable little moment with this ring- once you had both gone on a late night walk, hand in hand. The moon's soft glow bathing you both in silver, it was like a scene out of a romance novel, especially when you leaned in to press your lips against his

While he was distracted you slipped it off his finger and booked it. Immediately running as fast as you could, not daring to look back, laughing as you sped off with your prize

Unfortunately for you, Astarion happens to be a vampire spawn. Vampire spawn are quite physically inclined, and Astarion is pretty fit

What I’m saying is you made it a good 30 feet before getting tackled to the ground and had the ring wrestled out of your hand 

Honestly, though, you were laughing so hard you didn’t even mind losing the game, you were just happy that for a second your master plan had worked. 

Astarion complained about how his outfit got all dusty because of you, but you had heard him laughing right along with you when he had tackled you to the ground

You guys definitely do couples' heists together. Sneaking, pickpocketing, lockpicking, running from the law, it's all in a day's work for the most shifty couple in Faerun. One of you might distract a lord while the other snuck into his vault to retrieve some valuable magical item. 

Ok but in all seriousness, y’all must be the most ethereal couple around. Imagine seeing two people glide over the rooftops of Baldur's gate, each jump almost like steps to a dance they both know by heart. Flitting around each other like ribbons in the breeze, one with soft silver hair and the other face obscured by their pitch-black cloak, hood pulled up and rippling in the night air. They dance across rooftops, swift as shadows, graceful as spirits, never touching, and yet somehow the rare onlooker knows they are meant to be a pair.

Some bard has definitely written a song about that last bullet point I promise you. 

You two probably had a million cons just waiting to be used. I imagine during your time together trying to get rid of the tadpole, you would both talk late into the night, bouncing ideas off each other, throwing out ideas of different tricks you could pull on the unsuspecting. Some genuinely clever, most just absurd attempts at making the other person laugh.  

If you ever actually got the chance to you it though? Oh ho HO. let me tell you how this went down. Your party had gotten into a situation, attempting to be as inconspicuous as possible. But by a bout of bad luck, someone had started harassing Karlach and at the same time, Lazel had started yelling at a guard, hand on her sword, inches away from striking. The party needed some sort of distraction, and luckily you both had just the thing. 

Astarion had grabbed the nearest glass of wine and splashed it on you, then putting on his best offended face he anguished, “How could you cheat on me?!?! And with my own BROTHER!?!?” That sentence made everyone's head snap up, including the guards as you both laid the theatrics on thick. You kept this act up with Astarion for a good 10 minutes, with fake tears and dramatics from both of you. At one point on the spot, you made up that he had slept with your mother and it was revenge, and the crowd was extremely invested, people taking sides, guards trying to calm down the chaos. But hey you're fake out worked, Karlach and Lazel were able to sneak away quietly and you had both given the distraction of a lifetime. Shadowheart disapproves.

Occasionally the two of you will talk in Thieves cant to each other when you don’t want the party to overhear certain conversations. Originally you were both probably talking about important things like strategies and debating about how to go about getting rid of the tadpole. But now you kind of both just use it to piss off Lazel a little. 

Ultimately you two really understand each other on a deep level, you really are 2 people with one mind. And together there's a world of adventure out there for you both, and infinite fun magical items for you both too “acquire”.

life was hard and you knew it. you’d learned to put a brave face on and take whatever life threw at you without a single complaint. you let out your feelings silently when no one was there to see you, and nobody ever did.

one night, jack was out working late, leaving you all alone. this day in particular had put even more stress on you than usual. your body was trembling from exhaustion and you just couldn’t keep yourself together.

you sat yourself on the floor beside your bed, hot tears starting to trickle down your face. the pain in your heart was becoming unbearable, and you had nobody there to help you. you hugged your knees as you heaved out choked sobs.

time became elastic, making you completely oblivious to how long you were sitting there. it was like you were in your own dark little bubble away from the outside world. your heart hammered in your chest and your entire body felt weak.

it was around midnight and you had slowly been able to calm yourself down a little. you took a few long, deep breaths before getting yourself up from the floor. you wiped a few tears away with the back of your hand before turning around to leave the bedroom, but you froze in your spot.

jack was standing in the doorframe, wide-eyed with his lips parted a little. you tried your best to quickly wipe away all the moisture from your face, but your red eyes and flushed cheeks were the giveaway. 

jack had never been the most sympathetic person, which is why you kept your feelings to yourself around him, but at this moment it was almost as if he could feel the pain in your heart. he dropped his briefcase on the ground and approached you.

he held your face in his hands, looking into your big, glassy eyes. seeing you this vulnerable was completely new to him, and it was doing miraculous things to his dark soul. you sniffled and looked down, not knowing what outcome to expect from this interaction.

he pulled you into him, wrapping his arms around your trembling body. you sunk your face into his shoulder, fully taking in this rare moment. he scooped you up into his arms and gently set you on the bed like you were made of the most delicate porcelain. 

he walked into the bathroom for a moment, filling up the tub with water and your favourite scented oils. he came back to the bedroom, picking you up once again. you saw the bath that he had set up for you. little things like this make your heart melt.

he planted a soft kiss on your forehead, instructing you to get in. you did as he asked, watching as he picked out your favourite record and put it in the player. you felt your body starting to unclench from the warm water, smell of the oil, and the song playing on the record player.

shortly after your bath, you stepped out of the bathroom. you changed into your nightwear and made your way back to the bed, meeting a nice little surprise there. on a silver tray laid two teacups and your favourite novel.

jack had gotten out of his work uniform and carried you onto the bed. he whispered to you in a soft, gentle voice, “hope this made you feel better, doll. i love you.” before you could react, he pulled you into a gentle hug, feeling your heartbeat slowing down against him. 

he pulled the blanket over the two of you and cradled you in his arms, gently massaging you in the process. you wanted to thank him for what he had done for you tonight, for showing you the other side of him, but it was too late. you had already fallen asleep in his arms.

Hehe I’m gonna pretend I was the first to send an ask to your newly-cleared inbox 🤣 I was just reading your writing advice post about beat sheets and I was wondering if you had any more writing advice? Mainly how you’re able to write so much but also how you’re able to do so in a linear fashion.

I have..absolutely no writing background and my writing process is very instinctual rather than organized. I type with my eyes closed so I can visualize scenes like a movie and I follow a beat sheet consisting of “fuck it we ball”

it’s dope that you have a novel writing background, little me would think you’re like the Viola Davis of literature if she heard that. (23 year old me thinks you’re cool too dw HEHEH)

And good question! I think having a novel background does help since I've gotten used to writing a lot. I really respect IF authors who jump into IF with no writing experience because no only do you also have to code and write multiple books (routes) in one, you're also sharing that work to the public almost immediately.

It took me having to post fanfic + indie publishing to grow a thick skin and an understanding against hate and criticism, so people who choose this as their first foray into writing have my immense respect lmao it's not easy!

Mainly how you’re able to write so much but also how you’re able to do so in a linear fashion.

I've said before that I'm able to write a lot because I plan everything before hand. I'm not capable of pantsing and I'm a plotter through and through. When I know the beats to a scene and have a goal, I can just focus on reaching that goal instead of trying to come up with a purpose.

For example, I'm currently working on a novel as well as Infamous, and I just spent like....eight hours today just working on the outline (again). I think I have about 15 different variations of the outline, but I can't write if I don't know what's coming up next. I think I spend more time working on the outline than the book. (For example: One book I spent one year working on the outline and then wrote the book in 3 months lmao).

Anyway, almost every conversation in a book has a purpose, even if it's not obvious. Sometimes it's to express motivation, further the plot, create conflict. Sometimes it's to add depth to characters which usually results in conversations that seemingly have no purpose (like the band talking about whether orion would be a good band member or not) but they do! (its to establish the dynamic and level of closeness + personalities). When I know what I want to tell in a scene and what I want to express, I don't meander as much. So I plan plan plan plan.

But really, if you work best off instinct, I encourage you to go that way. There's no right way, and you don't want to force yourself. Sometimes people write their best when they're figuring it out along the way. I'm not capable of that hahahahah

As for linear, I can NOT jump around as much as I wish. I need CONTEXT like...I love referring back to old conversations and using the older conversations as context to newer ones people who can jump around and write non-linearly are superhuman.

Typing with your eyes closed seems so cool. I do have a cinematic approach to writing as well, but I also only type with three fingers lmao (I never learned how to use all your fingers for typing) so I need to see plshfhsdfhdsj

This wasn't quick at all, it took me like four whole days to write this. Most of my mutuals aren't really into Genshin but here are the four who actually play the game,

Cyno would teach you how to play TCG and buy you the prettiest cardholder. He'd also take you out on dates in the desert, enjoying the sun and sand as he shows you a new card combination attack he learned.

Tighnari would take you out on picnics in the forest/jungle. Having prepared numerous tasty snacks and treats, plus a nutritious meal. He'd show you all the different flora and funga. He'd spend hours explaining their traits to you. He'd be so happy to be in his favorite place with his favorite person.

All this being said, I can also see you and Albedo being together. since you both share a love of art. He'd definitely would try out a surrealistic medium and gift you his best works. Would also take you on dates to Dragonspine and make you hot chocolate as you cuddle by the fire and watch the snowfall.

Pouring your heart into your work, leaving fragments of your soul in your creations. Kaveh would 100% refer to you as his muse and hang your art on the walls of his buildings. He'd also personally design the ring he proposes to you with. Asking you to be his eternally with rosy pink cheeks. He'd try to propose outside during a full moon. Wanting everything to be PERFECT just like his darling.

If you two met during his Zandik days, then cute study dates at the library would be a must. He'd tutor you in every subject wanting you to exile. But you'd also have to comfort him on his more…moody days. Assuring him that "He's the best genius in the entire academy".

If you two started going out during his Dottore time period. Then I could see him taking you to expensive restaurants and high-end malls. Wanting to spoil you. But he'd also lock himself in his lab for days on end, so the relationship could be rather lonely at times. DW he'd totally make it up to you later.

Took a bit of a hiatus thanks to work and such, but back on day 10 of updating the Darkworld cast, now with one more character I wasn't expecting to get to this month, let alone in this role: the insectoid mastermind, Hyvera!

So, as she's a much fresher addition to the cast than anyone besides Cassandra, Hyvera's backstory is fairly uncertain right now. So instead of sharing her canon in-universe history, here's a brief peak into her history behind the scenes.

One of the older concepts for a DWS character was a cybernetic bug creature. He was ambiguously more ant-like, while also having a surgical theme, being able to turn his hands into saws or drills. However, when considering characters to shave off in a more minimal cut of the cast, this bug character was cut due to being planned as a slower zoner character, vaguely similar to Samus in Smash, which felt like a crowded archetype at the time that he didn't really offer an interesting take on. When considering reintegrating some version of this character, I wanted to focus on what could make them stand out: unique and aggressive aerial mobility, leaning much more into the strengths of the subgenre, while also giving their minion master gimmick more nuance than just projectile spam.

So enter another failed concept: Hyvera, but as they were intended for War Bots. Hyvera was originally planned as a support with a unique drone management gameplay loop, requiring resource management and strategy loosely inspired by Pikmin. However, no iteration of this concept felt like it could feasibly work in action. Early on the drones were meant to be a small number of full entities (essentially flying multi-purpose turrets with extensive management controls), but this could easily strain how much one character could impact the number of things happening in a game at once, which felt like a bad idea for the sake of both player-end readability and development-end practicality. In a more hero-shooter style game with smaller team sizes this idea could have potential, but with War Bots as a more classic class shooter with bigger teams, having potentially 20 Hyveras each with several complex drones sounds absolutely hellish to both play and handle performance-wise. A more novel idea later on was that the drones were essentially just bullets that did lingering damage or healing, as opposed to Hyvera having her own personal weapon like she did previously, but this felt like it was losing the appeal of the concept in the first place. Even with some resource management element, there just wasn't that same thematic cohesion with the drones being proper beings, instead basically just being either lingering overheal or a different flavor of poison damage. So, Hyvera was shelved, and the fourth support in her place is still not totally certain as of now either.

So we had an old bug for DWS that needed an overhaul including a new name, design, and gameplay feel, and an old bug for War Bots with a similar theme/gimmick and a design that lends itself way better to freeform fast-paced movement that just didn't fit that style of gameplay. With a bit of discussion on my collaborator/sibling on where to take this new interpretation stylistically, and taking a hairstyle cue from one more character of mine with a similar gimmick, we have the character now known as Hyvera. So all that said, how does she work now?

In terms of stats, Hyvera is among the lightest in the cast, but with the best air speed, and solid ground speed as well. Her air game is opened up especially with her first of a few unique mechanics: instead of a set number of midair jumps, Hyvera has a limited free flight duration, indicated by a stamina meter that appears next to her while in use. Holding the jump button midair will allow you to accelerate upwards, and you can start and stop flying as much as you want as long as you have the stamina for it. Stamina recharges quickly (though not instantly) while on the ground. Using this and her air speed, Hyvera can fly through the air with unmatched precision.

Hyvera's next signature mechanic relates to another part of her insectoid anatomy, the Extraction Stinger. This cybernetic stinger acts as the sweetspot of many of Hyvera's moves, notably increasing damage and hitstun if the stinger itself hits and not her thorax. This includes her up special, Stinger Dive, which has her ready for a moment before lunging stinger-first based on your directional input. If the spike hits while aimed down or diagonally downwards, then the victim is spiked along with your trajectory. However, if you stab into a wall or floor, you will be stuck in place temporarily as Hyvera pulls herself out. Some moves, like her rapid jab, pummel, and forward throw all only have stinger hitboxes, but are weaker accordingly. Landing these stinger attacks also extracts data from enemies, measured in Data Points, or DP. DP is displayed as a meter of bubbly fluid next to Hyvera's percentage display. DP will also slowly generate over time, and you start each stock with 50 out of its max of 100.

But what is DP used for? Well, naturally, it's her final special mechanic: Hive Drones. Drones are created using Hyvera's neutral special, Drone Production. Holding the special input will allow you to select one of four drones by holding up, left, right, or down, then releasing the special input with the desired direction held will have Hyvera release one from her mouth to await on standby hovering behind her. You can only have up to 5 drones at a time, and attempting to create a sixth will have the oldest drone fly off screen to be replaced by your new selection. Tapping the input will instead cycle which drone is next to be active. You then send a drone forward using her side special, Attack Directive. All drones will fly forward a set distance in the hopes of hitting an enemy, though they will automatically fly to you back if they don't. Drones will also bounce off of shields, leaving them vulnerable for a moment before they retreat. While attacking, each drone type has unique properties:

Skeeters are weak mosquito-like drones, and cost only 15 DP to produce. They have the second highest flight speed, but are destroyed when hit by any attack whatsoever. Upon hitting an enemy, the Skeeter will latch onto them, slowly leeching their health with their proboscis. Skeeters can't drain health from a shielding enemy, but will instead cause their shield to be damaged at an increased rate. After leeching enough health (indicated by the fullness of their back pouch), the Skeeter will fly back to Hyvera, and restore both her health and DP proportional to the damage dealt. Hyvera can recollect the Skeeter early by grabbing its victim, but if they instead hit Hyvera with a melee attack or throw, then the Skeeter is shaken off while losing all of its stolen health. Their cheap cost makes them effective to rack up early damage and aid your DP income, and even help offset Hyvera's low weight with their lifesteal aspect, but they struggle to help close out a stock.

Darters are fast dragonfly-like drones, and cost 25 DP each. Darters fly at high speeds, and will slash through enemies (though not shields) along their path, before sharply turning around to strike again on their return back to you. The damage is relatively weak, but their good range and high speed makes them useful for applying bursts of pressure, or starting/extending a combo.

Flingers are bulky beetle-like drones with massive mandibles, costing 40 DP. They're slow fliers, but have enough health to survive some weak attacks, and don't flinch when hit. Upon hitting an enemy, they will grab them in their pincers, then fling them either left or right depending on whichever side Hyvera is on. They will still bounce off of shields, but are capable of bypassing super armor and counter-style attacks with their grab. While reactable, the threat of their throw as an exceptional combo starter requires respect.

Bursters are small, winged, ant-like drones that are curled around their massive transparent thorax full of menacing bubbling liquid, and cost 30 BP to produce. These volatile menaces fly the slowest of any drone, but will violently explode upon touching an enemy or being hit by any attack, including any of Hyvera's. This explosion is the most lethal attack in Hyvera's kit, but can easily be disarmed or even used against her if the enemy can safely detonate it from a distance, which also wastes the BP used to produce it. However, in a pinch, this friendly fire can be used to Hyvera's advantage when recovering, as the knockback both launches you up and resets her freefall, though at higher percents the knockback will KO her anyways.

Hyvera's drones can also be commanded with her Guard Special, Defense Priority. Upon use, all drones on the field return to Hyvera, and form a protective bubble around themselves that hits enemies and overpowers other attacks and projectiles. The drones will cycle around Hyvera in an evenly spaced circle, meaning the coverage will be weaker and less hits will occur with less drones. The attack ends when the last drone finishes its lap around Hyvera, which also acts as a launcher while the prior hits combo into it. All drone types behave the same for the purposes of this move, not applying any special on-hit effects.

Hyvera's last special move is her down special: Sectoid Snatch. This move has her fly ahead with outstretched arms, or dive diagonally downwards and forwards if used in the air. If she successfully finds a victim, she will be able to use her free flight for a short time with her prey in tow. Pressing special or letting the timer run out will cause Hyvera to toss her victim directly downwards as a weak spike that can start combos, while pressing attack will have her jab her stinger into the victim's chest, dealing strong forwards knockback and generating a significant chunk of DP. Successfully landing the move will also refresh Hyvera's flight stamina, but missing the move leaves her extremely vulnerable.

With ALL that said, it's needless to reiterate that Hyvera is one of the most complex members of the cast, playing her own resource management game along with having some extremely freeform movement options in the air. Unlike some other minion master characters, Hyvera is far from helpless on her own thanks to her mobility and equally fast and combo-friendly normals. However, these normals don't do her many favors in terms of stage control or kill confirms, both of which she struggles in without drones. Drones are powerful in what they offer, but require taking risks in order to use to their fullest, both in terms of gathering the DP to make them and in commanding them properly without them getting destroyed, wasting your investment. This high-risk high-reward mentality is a pervasive theme in Hyvera's playstyle, with her high speed but low weight, and several devastating attacks that can end either player's stock early. With so much decision making integral to every moment of her gameplay, Hyvera is a character that can be hard to do well with, but is devastating when the master plan comes together.

So this surprise addition is almost certainly one of the absolute wildest in terms of inspirations (Olimar, Ridley, Q Bee, Charmy, and my DnD character) and development history, but I hope all this was at least vaguely comprehensible. But we're back after a long break! And we've only got four characters left on the agenda, meaning we're actually primed to be finished for now by month's end! There are more characters planned, but they're either major story spoilers or were created by my friend I collaborated on this project with heavily, but have had spotty contact with for a while. I don't want to take those ideas without his stated approval, so for now they're gonna have to wait for their updates. They're some great ones though, so they'll be worth the wait.

1. how long have i known about them

I'd heard vaguelly about him on DW retrospectives but then I watched season 7 and thought 'he seems nice'. With each subsequent season, I adored him even more. Apparently I wasn't the only one; several hundred women in a factory up north wrote into the BBC demanding Benton be in more stories XD

10. my favorite moment with them in canon

It's a toss-up between Benton managing to stop Yates during the latter's brief indoctrination-into-eco-fascism, and Three telling Benton he makes one of the best coffees in the universe (I'm a sucker for the other characters being sweet to Benton, which is also why I love when Jo Grant refers to him as 'the lovely Sergeant Benton' in a letter she sends to UNIT after she leaves). But basically any moment where Benton is on-screen is my favourite moment. He's such a sweet bean.

14. what i liked about the way canon portrayed them

I love how it was originally a bit-part but the cast and crew liked John Levene so much he got to do more and more over time. I especially like how he goes from getting the short straw from Yates constantly (never quite forgave Yates for stealing Benton's sandwiches that time by pulling rank) to getting the last laugh. Not to mention how it's a canon fact that basically everyone likes him and knows him to be a fundamentally good person; the Doctor is suspicious of everyone during that dinosaur serial except Benton, because they knew Benton would never betray them. Even the Master respects how earnest and resourceful Benton is.

Also, love the little insights into his personal life, like how he takes his little sister to ballroom dancing lessons. If we're talking the novels, he also seems immune (like Dan Lewis) to attempts at mind control; the himbo power is strong in Benton!

15. what i dont like about the way canon portrayed them

I don't like how he ends his last appearance unconscious on the floor and the Fourth Doctor doesn't even bother to make sure he's okay. Bit of an unfair ending, in my opinion (one of the early reasons I had for not liking Four as much as I like Three and Five).

Also, don't like how the Brigadier clearly doesn't pay Benton enough; he has to deal with a lot of nonsense that is clearly well above his pay grade (not to mention the Brigadier being a jerk to him on several occasions).

Personally, I like the idea of Benton being involved in 'Mawdryn Undead'. Mainly because it would be nice for him to get a proper send-off, but also because (as neither of them were in the army anymore) he would have been able to tell the Brigadier to stop being a jerk. Bonus points if he also defends Tegan and Nyssa when the Brigadier was being a chauvinist to them (I know Tegan and Nyssa would have gotten along well with Benton, because that man CHUGS the respect women juice).

ok so i have wild news my friend. i don’t recommend you going down this path, even though you’d have a lot of pride in your work here. if you want to be financially ok, this is not it. you’re being asked to have a lot of strength if you do. you’ll be in financial stress and overwhelmed. furthermore, you’ll be faced with a bit of oppression and competitiveness- overall, just people treating you badly. you could be faced with a lot of power imbalance as well and your communication efforts aren’t gonna pay off enough. future relationships or potential collaborations will have a slim chance of succeeding as well. it’s looking like a bad ending for…pretty much every aspect. it’s a shame that you can’t exactly capitalize off of this and maintain an ounce of good mental health. chances are things will start to break apart, and you’re having doubts even now. i suggest making this a side hustle or hobby, but not as the main career choice. you’ll be treated very unfairly going down this road.

the best outcome for you at the moment that brings you comfort, confidence, and stable income, is to come to either leave home and move somewhere else, OR resolve conflict that’s currently going on (esp w/ family members) and pursue something more practical and although the environment isn’t as creative or fun as you’d want it to be, you’ll be a lot happier. cards also suggest better planning skills and looking at this logically. you should also act on a well-thought out plan asap. you might think it’s sad that you can’t pursue whatever it is you wanted (creative and emotional attachment) but you’ll be a lot better off financially and with more confidence too, trust. things will play out from there :)

this is also the 2nd time i’ve seen a suggestion for you to get out of your environment. you or with your family as well. there’s been a big stagnancy going on for a while. i also suggest not making any bad moves against this creep and it will resolve on its own. it might take a while and it’s kinda pissing me off too even now, but despite everything weird or terrible that might happen (like a huge loss of something), you guys will have a happy ending. also, don’t let anyone screw with you or destroy your light! keep your head up and you should be pretty good!!

Ok I've finally found and read "Doctor Who: Shell Shock" - a Doctor Who novella from Telos publishing. And it has no right to be so good!

Plot: the 6th Doctor and Peri visit an ocean planet and nearly drown. However, they both are saved: the Doctor - by the community of strange crab mechas, and Peri - by the omnipresent entity, who wants to make a god out of her.

"Shell shock" is written by Simon A. Froward and told in 3 pov's: the Doctor's, Peri's and one of the crabs'. This story is very introspective and it's main theme is overcoming the psychological trauma.

The story explores Peri's tramatic past (tw: this novella has mentions of sexual assult). I really felt for her: for nearly whole her life Peri was a victum, she lived through so much fucked up events, and the worst part is - she always needed someone to save her, or otherwise she would have died long ago. Even in this story she can't escape on her own, but the option of finally gaining power to solve her problem is much worse. So to keep in control of her future Peri must stick to her worst memories and find a way to help the Doctor. As only working in pair they can save everybody and return to the TARDIS.

I liked that "Shell shock" explores the injustice of being a Doctor's companion. It shows how friends of the Doctor often feel as if they're disposible and unimportant. These relationships can be very toxic and unhealthy, especially when the Doctor themselves treats them as lesser people (a consistent trait of the show, likely born out of showrunners' unwillengness to let the Doctor's character evolve over numerous regenerations and not make the same mistakes over and over again).

I was pleasently surprised that the 6th Doctor's pov was his actual pov. Many DW novels (written in the 3sd person) suffer from the same strange choice: they show the Doctor's bits of the story too "detachedly" - like a reader is not in their head, but follows them like a movie camera in a TV show. As a result, readers don't trully know what the Doctor thinks, why they're worried and what their plans are. Even some Doctor's solo stories are told from the pov of an original characters. But in "Shell shock" we can experience all emotions of the 6th Doctor, like his grief (when he thinks he lost Peri) and his determination to make everybody as happy and save as they can be. That's why revelations in this story hit so hard - the reader identifies themselves with the Doctor befriending all new characters and wanting to protect them. As a result, the 6th Doctor feels more fleshed out and sympathetic than in some longer dw novels.

To sum up, I highly recommend reading "Doctor Who: Shell shock". It reminded me of "The island of Dr Moreau" in the best way possible - sort of aquatic retelling of that story with lots of deep themes and gray characters to explore.

i'm not the best person to ask this because i'm (apparently?) one of the uncommon ones who read the webnovel first! from what i've heard the webtoon is fairly accurate, but it skims! there's some really good subtle character moments that don't get shown (which i can see why, a webtoon is more costly both in time and budget than making than a novel). and also from what i've personally seen they removed a character's line teasing kdj's romance with yjh. it was pretty funny and i'm sad they removed it LOL

plus if you start from the beginning you can get used to how the novel is structured! it has honorifics for a lot of characters and the names are structured as last name then first name which looks more natural to me LOL. i read a *bit* of the webtoon because i wanted to see how some things looked, and the webtoon does not capture kdj's thought process as well as the webnovel. a lot of his personality and how we get to know more of him comes from his thoughts, and i assume the webtoon cuts most of them for time and readability.

(also my god im so sorry to hear about nirvana, iirc they use they/them for them in the novel with the occasional gendered pronouns? so not as bad as what you mentioned lol)

so tl:dr, i personally recommend reading from the beginning to get used to how the novel is structured and written, and to get those very nice characterization that might be lost in the webtoon!

Are you named after anyone?

Quil — Initially he was, yes, but when he picked his own name, Quilin, he took it from a proverb in the old version of his language. Not many know this, though, because he now thinks it's too dramatic and prefers to just be called Quil by those close to him lol

Endra — No, although a fun note about his name: it's such an old one that it's barely in use anymore and has historically been typically given to girls, so how his mother picked it is a bit of a mystery...

2. When was the last time you cried?

Quil — Uh. Uh. I think. Literally five minutes ago? He cries very rarely but he's going through something right now, so

Endra — Despite him being the one prone to crying, it's been a while... I don't know, two years maybe?? (that's gonna change soon though dw)

3. Do you have kids?

Neither do!

4. Do you use sarcasm?

Quil — Yes definitely, although only when he's around people he's comfortable with. Otherwise, he's very polite and nice :)

Endra — Also yes, but in a very playful manner :) Although it can still be taken negatively :( No one gets him

5. What's the first thing you notice about people?

Quil — Signs of their social status and/or culture, so clothing styles, how they hold themselves, their speaking mannerisms, etc. Just anything that gives away where they're from and what their standing in society is. He's never impolite, but he does adjust his behavior a bit accordingly

Endra — their emotionality? Like, what mood they seem to be in. Do they seem happy or upset or tired, helps him figure out how to best approach them (depending on what his end goals are...)

6. What's your eye colour?

Quil's is dark mint, and Endra's a very dark brown where you can barely tell where the pupil ends

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Quil — hm considering his favorite fiction genre is fairytales that often go in fucked ways... I'd say scary movies yeah, he'd be fascinated by them (if they existed lol)

Endra — also scary movies but in a different way! He just. enjoys being scared. it's a thing don't think too much about it

8. Any special talents?

Quil — ahm he's got an affinity for languages, if that counts? There are 8 major languages in the continent, some with many dialects, some having old versions, too, and there's only 1 he's not able to speak yet due to there literally being. extremely little resources on it. It's a very remote country and not much literature leaves it x)

Endra — he can climb trees very well. In general he's pretty agile and flexible. anyways

9. Where were you born?

Quil was born in Ethelen, Merridie, and Endra in some obscure village in Edkava. This tells you practically nothing but there you go

10. What are your hobbies?

Quil — Reading with a capital R. that's what he does the majority of his time lmao nerd. he prefers nonfiction but he won't say no to an interesting fiction novel, either. he also enjoys a bit of foraging and gardening :) as well as engaging in life-threatening medical practices :) anyways

Endra — he likes to play the piano! and draw! and he's recently got an interest in cooking! in general he's a pretty artistic guy :)

11. Have you any pets?

Quil — No :( He doesn't like animals that much :((

Endra — Yes :) a kitty named Zucchini :))

12. What sports do you play/have you played?

Quil — if we're talking about his early years... does sleeping around count as sport

Endra — eh not really? Besides some outdoor games that count be counted as sport, at least. He's pretty impartial to sports tbh

13. How tall are you?

Quil is 169 cm (5'6 ft?? I think?), and Endra 180 cm (5'11 ft)

14. Favourite subject in school?

Quil — well, obviously he was most drawn to all subjects related to magic, but his favorite would probably be The Fundamentals of Magia, which delved more into the physicality of the element. Besides magic stuff, he also really liked Language and Literature :)

Endra — oh he hated school with a passion lol. He chronically engaged in truancy and held no love for anything that had to do with school. but if he had to choose what he tolerated the most... it'd probably be Music as it was what could actually understand? so yeah he might have kinda liked that one a little bit

15. Dream job?

Quil — a teacher :)) guy loves teaching with a passion. it's been his dream for a long while but y'know how life can go...

Endra — ahmmmm a housewife. honestly I don't think I'm kidding. god knows he could not be tied down to an Actual job, and he actually likes fussing around the house, cooking, cleaning, just making sure it's all homely and nice, and I think he would really like staying home to raise children, too. mayyyybe on the side he could do some freelance art or music stuff, but that's it lol
