#this is the one thing all humans agree on

I have seen this post, along with reblogs containing massive amounts of misinformation, cross my dash many times. I have ignored them, thinking "what's the use of getting into this on Tumblr"? But I have finally hit the tipping point. seeing mutual after mutual reblog this along with "only ecofascists believe in the concept of human overpopulation; if you even consider arguments about overpopulation, you are sliding down the slippery slope to eco-fascism" commentary, apparently without questioning the content or the source, is disturbing to me.
The tweet above and the statements about eco-fascism are not factual statements. They are propaganda. Now, I don't think propaganda is in itself a bad thing. But it not being bad depends on people being able to identify it and critique it. You need to be able to evaluate the content and the source in order to weed out the objective information from the subjective. If you can do that and you still agree with it, more power to you.
In this super long post, I am first going to address the tweet. After that, I will talk a little bit about eco-fascism and overpopulation discourse.
Let's address the source first. Here are some other opinions you can find on the Hampton Institute site (quotes are from x):
There was no evidence of Russian interference in any U.S. election and any investigations into it are pro capitalist political theater
Go ahead and let Russia have Ukraine
Cornel West is not socialist enough
"We need to understand that electoral politics are both a time suck and a dead end if the goal is to win elections, assume office, and enact legislation. Therefore, campaigns should only be used to educate, agitate, and form counter-hegemonic and liberatory institutions and organizations."
"liberal identity politics" are a sideshow; capitalism/class is the ultimate root of all oppression
"Democrats are not anti-fascist; they are just as much a part of the transition to overt fascism as Republicans are."
Bernie Sanders sold out the working class by endorsing Biden (among other sins)
Every single report of sexual violence conducted by Hamas during the attack on Israel on October 2023 is false. (Not just that there were misreportings or it's difficult to pin down numbers, but that not a single incident happened.)
It's a waste of time and capitalist shilling to critique communism/historical communist systems
If there's anything in the list above you wouldn't take at face value, then why take the tweet at the top at face value?
As for the content, let's look at the numbers:
7.7 billion --it could be more, it could be less. It's close enough. I'm not going to argue with this.
95% of people live on 10% of the land-- where does the statistic come from? What is it even saying? Is it saying that, of all the land occupied by humans, 5% own or occupy 90% of that land? Is it talking about all arable land on earth? Is it talking about all land on Earth? Because if you look at statistics for arable land use, there is not a single inhabited continent where arable land use is less than 25%. That is, of all the arable land that exists, at least 25% of it is being used for agriculture (cropland or grazing land). Worldwide average is around 35%. That is way more than 10%. If you single out cropland alone and don't count grazing land, because you want to look at how a vegetarian diet might change land use, you will find the cropland takes up less than 10% of arable land in parts of the world. But in europe, the us, argentina, mexico, china, India, Pakistan, Kenya, and a bunch of other countries, more than 10% of arable land is used for crops, with some countries having as much as 50 to 70% of their arable land used for crop land. x
We produce enough food to satisfy 10 billion people -- I'm not going to argue with this. There are plenty of studies that support the argument that this will be possible soon if not already x (but no one should be surprised that it includes the assumption of shifting to a more plant-based diet, which does not line up with actual food consumption trends x)
We can double how many people we feed in a more sustainable way -- another point that sounds nice, but what does it even mean?
Okay, Now we move on from the Hampton Institute to the ecofascists. Wow, what a fun way to spend my Saturday afternoon!
True claim: Eco-fascism argues that overpopulation is the ultimate root of climate change and environmental destruction. x x x x
True claim: Eco-fascism is racist, white supremacist, and genocidal. (See links above.)
Unprovable claim: Overpopulation is inherently and only an eco-fascist myth/arguing point. That is actually something that you will need to decide for yourself after you research the issue. But here are a few starting points: Isaac Asimov and Jacques Cousteau had concerns about human population growth and its effects on the environment. Are they necessarily ecofascists? Are white people living in Western countries who support immigration and reproductive freedom worldwide being eco-fascists when they make a personal choice to have fewer children because they are concerned about the effect of population growth and land use on their local ecosystems? Is it inherently fascistic to draw a mathematical correlation between number of people and amount of land used for agriculture and habitation? Is it fascistic to think about what the worst consequences of human population growth could be, in order to figure out ways to minimize or eliminate negative consequences while allowing human population growth to continue? Is it possible to use the concept of overpopulation in a non-misanthropic way, i.e. as a tool for identifying numbers that would be unsustainable under current conditions, and figuring out how to change things so that those numbers would be perfectly sustainable?
No conclusion here. I'm not going to tell you what the interest to those questions should be.
To show my hand, I don't think they necessarily have a single answer. And that is what led me to spend way too much time on a Saturday writing about this post when my sinuses are stuffed and I can't even think clearly. Because every single reblog I've seen of it gives off the impression that this is a closed discussion, that there is a single right conclusion that everybody should come to, that all the statements made are objective and supported by fact, and that everybody but an eco-fascist would agree with the whole reblog chain.
It's Tumblr and i shouldn't care because no one will take the time to read this anyway. But hey. I have a cold and I'm not thinking straight. Have a great day.

muffins
viktor x f! reader
3.8k, MDNI, no use of (y/n)
description: Viktor had been so kind as to agree to help you out with your midterm prep, so you thought baking him muffins would be a great way to repay him. However, an accidental secret ingredient gets in the way of studying.
warnings: Age gap, roomie smut, more story than smut, p in v, sex pollen/serum (with pretty explicit consent), overall jolly good fun, no harm no foul, yippee!
a/n: inspired by @the-hidden-pages story, Human Testing because itâs one of the first viktor x reader fics i ever read and i STRONGLY recommend!
Any student should feel lucky to have the smartest men at the academy as your roommates. Being an undergraduate biochem student who had to work to pay her own tuition, going to lecture wasnât always an option. Thatâs when youâd bake a tray of brownies or do some extra dishes and call in a favor from one of your roomies.
It happened all the time, which made you incredibly thankful to have one people-pleaser in the apartment. Jayce was always willing to put aside whatever he was doing and help you out on your Arcane Studies homework or your Bioengineering project. Last semester, finals week consisted of the two of you sitting criss-cross applesauce on the rug of the living room, paper scattered all over the floor as you tried to decipher the grading scale of your Organic Chemistry class to see what the lowest grade on the test you could get was and still wind up with a passing grade (something Jayce had done plenty of times in his undergrad years).
Viktor, on the other hand, had gotten somewhat tired of your constant requests for him to backtrack and dive into knowledge he hadnât tapped for years now. He was never particularly rude about it, but you were very perceptive. When you asked him to repeat an explanation once or twice, you noticed the growing exhaustion on his face that bordered frustration and you stopped asking for his help going forward. It wasnât to his own fault, you could be pretty needy sometimes, so more often than not, you just asked Jayce.
Only, Jayce was out of town for a Hextech press conference this weekend, the weekend before you had your Arcane Studies midterm. In a heartbreaking display, he had apologized profusely for not being able to help, inches away from getting on his knees and begging for forgiveness. You assured him none of that was necessary, and that youâd just stay up studying in the library or even reach out to your TA (who youâd never even spoken to before in class or outside of it, and who you were certain would be less helpful than Jayce).
To remedy your situationâeven though you pinkie promised him you didnât need him toâhe took it upon himself to ask Viktor to help you cram study on Sunday night, the night before your midterm. While Jayce asked, you did your best to listen from your bedroom, the next room over. You heard some grumbling from Viktor and a muffled, yet compelling âSheâs our roommate and she bakes us nice thingsâ from Jayce.
Apparently that last bit must have been very rousing, because shortly after, Jayce was at your door telling you that Viktor agreed to a maximum of three hours of cramming that would begin no earlier than eight at night.
You worked for all of Saturdayâs daylight hours, and then finalized your experimental serum for your Advanced Biochemistry project. For the biochem class, youâd been studying methods of enhancing senses for the first half of the quarter and your midterm project involved making a serum that could temporarily improve the performance of one human sense. Around three weeks ago, you and your classmates drew topics from a hat and your fingers emerged with âarousalâ on a piece of paper. Needless to say, you were concerned. You thought the serum project would be fairly straightforward, and had already brainstormed ideas for vision enhancing serums or hearing aid serums, but arousal? You had to think out of the box for that one.
When you finished up your last touches to the serum, you were left with enough time at night to get ingredients to bake Viktor some muffins as a sign of your gratitude. You got enough stuff for twice as much as you wouldâve made for Jayce and actually stuck to the recipe this time. Keeping Viktor happy was a very delicate ecosystem and there could be no tampering.
It wasnât that he was a grump or even that he hated you, he was just too busy to want to help and too intelligent to want to backtrack. Once he had even looked at what you were studying and said, âIâd have to go too far back to help you.â That was inspiring.
You poured the contents of your tote bag on the counter.
On your better days, you and Viktor actually got along quite well. Those were the rare days when Viktor got more than three hours of sleep and ate a full meal before two pm. In his best conditions, the two of you were good friends.
The best days were when he and Jayce both come home early enough for you to make them a home cooked meal. Then youâd all curl up on the couch and watch a movie. The last time that happened, Jayce picked some superhero movie youâd never heard of and you and Viktor both fell asleep. You woke up the next morning asleep on Viktorâs chest with four blankets piled on top of you both. Jayce said he knew both of you ran cold, so he took the blankets from your beds. You and Viktor never talked about that night.
The exhaustion of your stressful Saturday had leaked into your studying Sunday, and in a tired stupor, you whisked together all the ingredients for the muffins and poured them haphazardly into the mold. They might not look pretty, but at least theyâd taste good.
You pulled the freshly baked muffins from the oven and rested them on the stovetop. The sweet aroma of warm blueberry filled the apartment. It must have roused Viktor from whatever he was working on in his room, because he emerged a full quarter of an hour earlier than your agreed upon study time.
âHey,â you said. âI made you some muffins as a thank you. Theyâre still hot, though, I wasnât expecting you for another fifteen minutes.â
âThatâs fine,â he said, setting himself at the kitchen table and sipping from a cup of coffee that had been there since Jayce was still in town. âWould you like to begin now?â
You grab all your study guides and homework assignments and your assortment of chicken scratch notes and slide them over to him on the table.
âAre your midterms cumulative?â He asked, finishing the remnants of his cold coffee.
âNo,â you answered. Thank God. If you had to remember everything that was in the last midterm youâd be losing your mind right about now. âEverything past Arcane History will be on the test.â
âMm. I see.â
He scans your notes for another five minutes.
âIâll quiz you,â he decided, standing up to check on the temperature of the cooling muffins on the stovetop.
âUh, okay.â You didnât typically study by being quizzed, especially when you hardly went to lecture and didnât even know most of the material. But you didnât want to risk arguing with Viktor and have him decide to take his muffin to-go.
âTell me why the Arcane can manifest in such unpredictable manners?â
âBecauseâŠâ you started to think that maybe going to your TA wasnât such a bad idea after all. Your TA was just a random graduate student. The roommate that was helping you study now was one of the inventors of Hextech, the researcher responsible for some of the greatest advancements in Piltoverâs modern understanding of the Arcane. â...it reflects the intentions of the user.â
âCorrect,â he says, affording you a rare Viktor smile. âWould you like a muffin?â
You had intended for the muffins to be entirely Viktorâs, but you hadnât eaten all day and gods, they smelled good. Plus, it was like a reward for getting an answer right.
âSure, thanks.â
You watch as Viktor plucks two muffins from the tin and comes back to seat himself at the table. He hands one to you and sorts through the papers youâve scattered on the desk as he brings a small chunk to his mouth. You do the same.
Something tastes slightly off, but you canât quite put your finger on it. Itâs possible the ratio is off, and in your tired state you added too little vanilla extract or too much vegetable oil. Regardless, theyâre not bad at all.
âYour notes are a little bit difficult toââ Viktor stops before finishing his sentence. He pulls out a sheet of paper from the pile and reads it, his eyes widening a bit as he does.
âWhat? Whatâs wrong?â
âThese notes are from your biochem class,â he says, his eyes flickering up to meet yours for just a few seconds over the piece of paper. âThis is an interesting assignmentâŠâ
âOh,â you feel your cheeks growing hot. âSorry, thatâs not supposed to be in there.â
You reach out to take the paper from him, but he pulls it back as you do. Heâs still reading it. Youâd really like him to stop reading about your own aphrodisiac serum, but your embarrassment is a bit unwarranted. After all, you didnât make the serum because you wanted it, you made it because it was a graded assignment. Nothing more. So what if you did eventually garner interest in the topic. So much interest, in fact, that you did extensive research into the properties your serum could afford and spent long hours in your lab experimenting with it. Shamefully, yes, you had tried some of it. Mainly to test its efficiency but also out of plain curiosity. You had determined that it was safe, most importantly, but youâd also learned that it tasted horrible. To counter that, youâd added someâ
âOh fuck!â You shout as you scoot your chair so far back so quickly that it topples over. You stumble over your bag on the floor as you sprint to the kitchen.
âIs something wrong?â Viktor asks from his seated position.
âDonât eat the muffin!â You exclaim as you run to the counter space next to the stove, your heart pounding.
You confirm your worst fear. The bottle of vanilla extract you picked up from the supermarket sits on the counter, the protective seal still intact. Your arousal serum, however, is halfway empty a few inches beside the extract.
You turn around slowly to face Viktor.
âItâs a bit late for that,â Viktor says, holding up the half of his muffin that remains. âDid something happen?â
You eye your own muffin on the table, half eaten as well.
âFuck, fuck, fuck,â you scrambled back toward the table where Viktor sat, the serum held tight by your hand. âYouâre not allergic to anything, are you?â
âNo,â Viktor says, eyeing you like youâre crazy.
Come on, just get it out already. You have to tell him, it would be morally bankrupt not to.
âI accidentally drugged you.â
Okay, maybe not like that.
Viktor just stared at you, his expression unchanged. You sort of just wished he would yell at you so that you could get the encounter over with, but no such luck. He just sat, unphased, until he picked up the notes he was looking at earlier.
âWith this?â He asks. Even his voice is still even. You knew that if the roles had been reversed you would be fracking out, absolutely bouncing off the walls.
âYes, but donât worry Iâve done lots of research on this serum,â you say, taking the notes from Viktor and looking them over. You read the list two or three times, scanning for any sort of antidote for ingestion. You saw none. âHow could I have not included an antidote?â You mutter, mentally beating yourself up.
âItâs okay,â Viktor said and you couldnât even bring yourself to look up at him from your notes. âIt is safe, yes? It wonât kill us?â
âNo, it wonât, but itâs a powerful aphrodisiac and I added half the serum to those muffins. If my math is right, youâre taking three times the recommended dosage.â
âBut I only ate half the muffin,â Viktor counters. Again, youâre shocked by how unphased he is.
âOkay, then one and a half times the dosage,â you shrug off his comment as you look for anything in your notes that might reveal a way to undo this mess.
âI assume this means you no longer wish to study?â Viktor says.
âHow are you so calm about this?â You finally burst out, slamming the paper down on the table to look at him.
Big mistake.
Once you see him, you become lightheaded and your knees buckle beneath you. You have to sit down to stop yourself from falling over.
âAre you alright?â Viktor asks.
âI-Iâm fine,â you shake your head in an attempt to get some blood flowing to your brain. No luck.
âSince youâre obviously worked up about this, why donât you tell me how it works and then we can go from there.â
âItâs a fast acting stimulant,â you say, burying your face in your hands. âThe chemistry is irrelevant since I have no goddamn cure for it, but it works the same as any other aphrodisiac. It makes you susceptible to arousal and heightens it by three times at a normal dosage, and in our case⊠nearly five times.â
âIntriguing,â he says, eyeing the muffin that lays neglected on the table. âSuch a strange class project. Arenât there moral quandaries to be had for such a substance?â
âYes of course there are, which is why I made it so that it only takes effect if thereâs already a degree of attraction in placeââ
You shouldnât have said anything. Especially not when youâre so clearly affected by it in the presence of Viktor. Way to sell yourself out.
âSo youâre sayingâŠâ
You groan out in frustration, but once you look at Viktor youâre reminded of why you had your face buried in your hands. Somehow every feature of his seems five times more beautiful than you normally regarded them. His perfectly angular nose, his narrowed amber eyes, his messy hair which fell in ways you could never recreate on paperâŠ
âI have a feeling you know exactly what Iâm saying.â You squeezed your eyes shut. If you couldnât see him, he couldnât torture you.
Or so you thought.
A tantalizing graze of his hand on yours shot shivers down your spine. You pulled away so fast that a few of the papers on the desk shifted from the shear force of the wind.
âDonât do that,â you seethed, sucked your teeth as you pressed your eyes shut so hard that you saw stars.
âBecauseâŠit affects you?â His voice was raspy and slow, or maybe thatâs just what the serum was making you hear. Every bit of what he was doing seemed five times as attractive as it would normally be.
Youâd done such a good job at hiding your feelings for Viktor for almost a year now. Being roommates with someone you found incredibly attractive was no easy task. And now all of your efforts were thrown out the window because of a stupid baking mishap.
âYouâre being cruel,â you furrow your eyebrows as you speak, your voice coming out whinier than you wouldâve liked.
âIâm sorry,â he stifles a laugh. âWould you open your eyes?â
âI canât,â you groan, shoving your hands against your face again. âItâs best if I just go to my room and wait it out. Thank you for trying to study with me but Iâm just gonna have to accept a shitty grade tomorrow.â
âYou donât have to do that,â he said, his fingers wrapping around your wrists and pulling them down from your face so that you had to look at him. âItâs been a long time since Iâve taken biochemistry, and I certainly havenât studied aphrodisiacs, but the effects should go away after the serum is put to use, correct?â
You thought back to your experimentation phase. All the nights you spent alone in your lab trying out the efficacy of the serum resulted in the effects dissipating once climax was reached. It had certainly been the least orthodox experimentation phase youâd ever undergone.
âYes, thatâs correct,â you say reluctantly. It takes every ounce of strength you have not to let your eyes explore Viktorâs face, then his long, narrow neck protruding his sweater, his Adamâs apple bobbing with a deep breath, then the sharp clavicle poking fromâ
Get yourself together.
âIf youâre willing to retake the classâa class you should easily pass, given your access to the two most prevalent scientists in the fieldâthen by all means, go to your room.â Viktor pulls his hands away from you, then picks up the muffin, peeling off the paper from the bottom. He picks off a piece and drops it onto his tongue.
âWhat are you doing? Youâre just going to make it worse!â
He smirks at you, then sets the muffin back down. âItâs a very good muffin. Youâre an excellent baker.â
Fuck.
âYouâre playing with me,â you shake your head in disbelief.
âNo, dearest, I am not playing with you,â he says, standing up from his chair, then moving toward you tantalizingly slow. He takes a seat on the table in front of you, then crosses his hands on his lap. âYouâre smart enough to recognize the alternative I am offering to you.â
Your heart stops. You look at his half eaten muffin, although more than half is gone now with the addition of that last bite.
âYouâŠâ The idea is almost impossible for you to grasp, let alone put into words. âYou want to expedite the process?â
âThatâs certainly one way of putting it,â Viktor laughs. He reaches for a strand of your distressed hair and pushes it behind your ear.
âBut youâre not even attracted to me!â
âWhat makes you think that?â Viktor says, retracting his hand, only to place it over yours on the desk.
âBecause if you were, youâd be much more affected right now. I mean, look at me!â You gesture to yourself with your free hand. âIâm a mess! Iâm on the brink of breaking out in a sweat and my hands are clammy and youâre just sitting there!â
Viktor laughs to himself as if heâs in on some kind of inside joke that you know nothing about.
âIâve had lots of practice in concealing my excitement around you,â he finally says, slowly, seductively, the words dripping from his chin as his cold eyes bore into you.
âWhat?â
You know what he said. In fact, you understand it perfectly, but you canât be sure it actually came from his mouth because it seems so perfectly unreal. So dream-like, so idealistic, so fantastical.
âYouâve done a good enough job at hiding your attraction, too,â Viktor says. âI wouldnât have known if it werenât for tonightâs incident. Which is exactly why Iâve felt the need to hide my own.â
âYouâve liked me?â
You still canât wrap your head around the idea.
âIâve admired you,â he smiles, rubbing circles on the back of your hand, reminding you just how potent your little sex serum really is.
In fact, itâs so powerful that you hardly have to put any thought into leaping up from your chair and pushing your lips against his. Before you can third guess his affection, his hands are interlaced with your hair, pushing you deeper into his lips as his tongue begs to be let into your needy mouth.
Now it was clear to see how much the serum had actually affected him. In mere seconds, his hands grabbed at your thighs and pulled you up onto the table to straddle him with strength you didnât even know he possessed. His breathy little moans sent you further into madness and you yanked his sweater off of his head, forcing your mouth off of his for just a few seconds, but once that sweater was off, your lips clung together like magnets.
Deft fingers unbuttoned your long sleeve shirt and he pulled it off your arms so quickly that you worried for a second that he might have ripped it. But you didn't care. You couldnât possibly be concerned with a silly shirt when Viktor was beneath you on the kitchen table like a meal.
The serum didnât exactly allow either of your minds to comprehend much foreplay. You fiddled with Viktorâs belt and he pushed your skirt up to your waist. Once both of you were exposed, he didnât waste any time positioning you above his cock.
âSo wet for me,â Viktor whined against your bare chest. âIs that the serumâs doing or is it mine?â
âYours,â you whimper as Viktor slides his tip beneath your folds. âIf it were anyone else in the room with me when I took the serum, Iâd be unaffected.â
âIâm flattered,â he smiles cruelly as he thrusts up into you.
âOh fuck,â you whine as your rest your heavy head on Viktorâs shoulder.
He brings his hands to your waist and guides you up and down as his hips meet your core in long, languid thrusts. The serum sets every single nerve on fire, making it seem as if each of his thrusts has the impact of twenty.
You moan muffled strangulations of his name into his neck, which only urges him to persist with his cruel thrusts. The sound of your cunt being abused fills the kitchen and youâre wildly thankful that Jayce is out of town.
âIâve wanted this for so long,â Viktor pants. âYou have no idea.â
You really did have no idea. He hid it so well. You silently thanked whatever force had caused you to accidentally throw the serum into the muffin mix.
âSo have I,â you whined against his skin. âFuckâŠdonât stopâŠâ
Each thrust is punctuated by the creaks of the sturdy kitchen table below you. His motions become quicker, shakier, and more intense and you can tell heâs reaching the end along with you. Your legs begin to shake and you feel that familiar tickling sensation in your core that the serum does a beautiful job at emulating.
âViktor, Iâm close, Iâm so fucking close,â you moan as you lift your head from the crook of his neck. You bring your lips to his and he delivers his final thrusts. As he fills you, your moans echo on each otherâs lips, a feeling you never thought youâd experience with your own brilliant roommate.
Your breathing steadies and Viktor wraps his arms around you, bringing you close to him as he tries to collect himself as well.
âYouâŠâ Viktor pants, âare forbidden from using that kitchen ever again.â
You laugh as you bring yourself off of him, pressing a kiss to his lips as you collect yourself. âThat sounds fair to me.â

Advent calendar: Day 17. Carrots
A/N: Kinda related, kinda not, but you should watch âHot Frostyâ on Netflix if you havenât, totally recommend it (itâs very ridiculous in the best way possible). Sorry for all the awful dialogue you are about
Snowman x fem!reader || questionable use of vegetables, temperature play (kinda), mentioned overstimulation
When your witch friend asked you to build a snowman with her, you thought nothing of it. It would be fun, the snow was fresh and everyone seemed cheerful around you as you built his round body. Your friend, though⊠She made hers to look a bit more realistic, less round and more angular, in a way that was giving uncanny valley vibes. But you thought nothing of it, why would you?
When she asked if you liked him, you started to suspect there was something special about him, but again, you thought nothing of it. And when she used the carrot to make a dick instead of a nose, you almost peed yourself laughing. It was just so stupid looking, all white and round but with a big carrot dick⊠You should have known better.
And then he showed up, alive and walking, knocking on your door and staring up and down at you like he was about to fuck you right there. His carrot dick was erected and pointing straight at you. You gaped at him as he smiled, stroking his dick slowly. You gaped some more, your eyes accidentally traveling down. That was an amazing carrotâŠ
No. Behave, you cannot fuck a snowman, you tried to remind myself.
âWait here,â you told the snowman, who only nodded. You grabbed your phone and dialed your friend. âWhy thereâs a living snowman at my door, dude?!â You screamed at her as soon as she picked up. The poor dude was looking at you as if you were his dream come true.
âCalm down, you seemed very lonely and I had a bit of extra magic lately⊠So I gave you my Christmas gift early. Do you like him? Have you tried him yet?â
âHave I tri- What the fuck?!â You must be dreaming, there was no way that was happening to you. You pinched yourself and blinked, but the snowman was still in front of you and your friend was still talking.
âHeâs ready for you, darling. He wants to treat you like the queen you deserve to be,â she explained, almost bored. You wanted to pull her hair until she was bald.
âYou did not send me a sex snowman,â you repeated, trying to make sense of what you were seeing and hearing.
âI did. Now I have to go, have fun!â She said before hanging up on you.
âWe are not fucking,â you told him, your frown so deep you could see your eyebrows.
âIâm going to feed my carrot to your hungry bunny,â he deadpanned, in a tone that you supposed was intended to sound sexy. It didnât. You struggled not to laugh, but his face was so serious you couldnât do that to him, he looked so hopeful.
You stared at him, his hand lazily stroking his carrot once again. You felt your face blushing. You really needed to get laid, your pussy was getting wet about a snowman and a carrot⊠But you had more pressing matters than your wet pussy.
âOne: you canât say things like that. And two: we arenât going to fuck.â His face fell and he stopped moving his hand, making you almost sad. Dang.
âWhy not? I can smell your juices.â He could what? âYou are hot for me and Iâm cold for you, we should do something about it.â How desperate were you that he sounded right? You did want to fuck a snowman⊠Fuck, there was something so, so wrong inside of you because you were considering taking him on the offer.
âI- We- You are a snowman,â you let out, not really having a point.
âAnd you are a human, but my carrot is very hard for you.â You chuckled, the absurdity of it all getting to you. But most of all, your strength to hold back disappeared with that affirmation. He was made for you, and you were very horny, and his carrot looked especially delicious right nowâŠ
âOkay,â you agreed, your pussy almost clapping with enthusiasm. It had been a long time since you were properly fucked and you were feeling the need for sure.
âOkay? Are you⊠are you sure?â He suddenly seemed very confused about your decision, as if all his bravado died the second you agreed to fuck him. You wanted to coo at him, but you decided there was a better choice.
You walked to him and kissed his half open mouth. He was cold, but at the same time his lips felt like velvet against yours as you devoured his mouth. He gave as much as received, deepening the kiss and circling your body with his arms. You were pressed firmly against his front and your nipples instantly hardened, he was so cold in such a pleasurable way⊠You didnât even know you had something for temperature play but good snowman if your pussy wasnât quivering thinking about his hard carrot pocking your stomach.
You parted, looking at him intently, but when you didnât find any doubt in his eyes, your choice was already made. âFuck me, my snowman,â you almost pleaded, your voice trembling as your pussy pulsated at the same rhythm as your heart.
âYour wish is my command.â He laid you on the floor, right in the middle of your living room. âAre you ready for my carrot?â He asked, as you tried not to giggle. You nodded, fearing if you opened your mouth you would laugh and he wouldnât give you his dick. And you needed it. You needed it so, so bad.
He entered you in one long thrust and you cried out in ecstasy. The contrast between your warm body and his cold skin was exhilarating and arousing, sending you to the stratosphere of pleasure. You didnât know what was about to happen, but the size and shape of his carrot ended up being fantastic. The almost pointy tip played with your cervix as the wide base made your pussy clench around it, rubbing against your G-spot in the most amazing way. It was the perfect sex toy, even better, he was like a breathing sex-toy and that made your brain turn a bit fuzzy at the edges, arousal so big it was maddening.
He started a punishing pace, his dick going in and out of you so fast and hard your whole body was moving across the floor. You had to hold onto the carpet (carpet burn be damned) to be still as he pounded into your welcoming heat. He kept moaning how warm and wet you were, how good your heat felt against his cold⊠And you could only chant âyes, yes, yesâ as he kept going.
And when you came like a tidal wave, your whole body convulsing as he kept fucking you. He didnât stop, he fucked you through it as he used his cold fingers to rub your clit, making you ascend in your pleasure even higher. You screamed his name, pulling at his ice hair and trying to hold for dear life as you kept coming and comingâŠ
And he kept going.
He fucked you many more times that night, his stamina endless as he kept using his clever carrot to pound into your G-spot as his cold fingers pinched your clit until you couldnât hold back orgasm after orgasm. It was the most intense pleasure youâd ever felt, and by the time you asked for a rest, he was smirking down at you, the smugness in his face making your overused pussy twitch in anticipation.
And then you remembered⊠You had to thank your friend. Damn it.

what are your lilia calderu headcanons?
this is what I could think of right now! :)
SFW
Backstory
The Maestra was a mother figure to her but she didnât get everything she needed from her. She wasnât warm enough since Lilia has always been a gentle soul. The hardened, sarcastic exterior she now puts on with new people she adopted because of her Maestra.
Heavy on the survivorâs guilt. For one, because of her coven in Sicily and also because of her witch sister who were killed during the trials, where she managed to get away after being tortured.
She had a wife who fell victim to the witch trials and who sheâs been looking for ever since hoping that their paths will cross again in the form of a reincarnation.
In the comics she has a son apparently whereas in AAA we donât know. Either she didnât have children bc a) lesbian and b) she was scared to miss out on too much because of the âgapsâ or she lost her son too in a similar fashion where she saw it coming but was powerless against it. In this case, if the son existed in this universe, I believe the vampire Lilia fought and got the scar from turned him and he went on to live with the other vampires since he was afraid heâd hurt his mother if he stayed with her.
She met Stevie Nicks in LA when she and Lindsey were doing small gigs. Lilia had a little crush on her. More on that here
General
Loves stuff like needlework, knitting, crocheting. Her maestra taught her and itâs her way of remembering and feeling less alone.
Sheâs also made all the beaded curtains herself in meticulous detail. It kept her company on many nights.
Amazing cook, grows weed, incredible singing (other ppl have mentioned this before so putting it in one point bc I so agree)
Sheâs worked as a singer in small jazz bars but eventually stopped because the tips dwindled as the centuries went by and the signs of age began to show. The pay wasnât enough on its own.
Severely touch-starved. When someone touches her she freezes at first and then gets really emotional (without showing it) and will not leave the side of the person who touched her because she hopes theyâll do it again.
At the same time, sheâs a recluse by choice. With her psychic business, she can dose human contact so that she doesnât get overwhelmed with other peopleâs feelings and the visions she gets about them and the helplessness she feels.
Because sheâs been on her own for so long, sheâs very much stuck in her ways and particular about how she does things. So when you start dating her, you have to learn and adapt. And she appreciates this greatly.
She buys jewellery every time she visits a new place.
Big on little kisses.
She knows sheâs hot.
NSFW
this woman has a thing for being called âmamaâ I donât make the rules. Her mommy kink is bigger than readerâs. She started it and she gets off on it. (maybe because she missed out on being a mother bc of her âgapsâ cf SFW section)
after having lived for more than 4 centuries, sheâs tried just about anything and ended up being almost bored by sex. this is why she focuses more on connection and closeness during sex rather than the act itself. She can be really filthy when the mood strikes her though.
She likes to soft dom but also bottom. And sheâs really big on rewarding you, whether that be with praise, kisses, cuddles, or orgasms.
She prefers soft yet intense over rough unless you specifically ask for it.
She likes having her tits played with. It makes her emotional.
Knows how to use her unique nose for your pleasure. Especially loves having you ride her face.

It sounds like we agree in many ways. Some qualities canât accurately be put into a box.
I donât think psych is bullshit- I just graduated this year w/ my BS in psychological science (summa cumme laude, actually). I plan to go for my PhD. That does not mean that I agree with everything said about the field. If you are going to utilize the very fluid categories created by the DSM every few years, you should be doing so in such a way that you are trying to help and support the community.
Tons of stigmas exist surrounding mental health conditions, with autism being a population that faces a great deal. Autism in particular has a lot of attention currently, due to the extreme percentage of people that were previously misdiagnosed. I just went to a conference and listened to a talk about how social media can strengthen the sense of community and aid individuals feeling misunderstood by society, namely within the high-functioning autistic population. For a lot of folks, once they finally hear some of these things online, a light bulb goes off to dig deeper, and they say âAHA! Oh my gosh- there is nothing wrong with me that needs to be fixed⊠My brain just works a little differentlyâ. Then, they can seek a professional diagnosis. For this reason, the language âdisabilityâ is unappealing for some, as it implies a âdisadvantageâ or âsomething wrongâ- and that is simply not always the case for ASD.
One thing I was taught at university is that nothing is EVER proven in psych- merely supported- so no, I am not âclinging to factsâ. I am just inviting you to be more accepting of people openly blogging their experiences (and for all you know- they could have a formal diagnosis). Human consciousness in general can be thought of as a spectrum- not just folks with autism or ADHD.
If your post was merely to make a joke about the crow lord, I apologize. Didnât mean to ruffle any feathers. You are an excellent writer- and you make for a very fruitful, intelligent, & engaging interaction- I am just working through my own passions against stigma, & sometimes it explodes a bit! No shade, friend :)
TikTok has convinced so many people that you're autistic or ADHD if you have completely typical experiences like "getting songs stuck in your head" or "having a strong sense of social justice" or "reverently kissing the ice-cold crown of the crow lord". No, you do not need to have autism to squeeze your eyes shut and stand completely still as a living statue to demonstrate your total submission to the crow lord. Plenty of neurotypical people bring him tributes of glass beads, tinfoil strips, roadkill, coins from dead men's pockets, and mice or rabbits fattened weeks in advance. Honestly TikTok has become such a dangerous engine for spreading misinformation. I wouldn't be surprised if they provoke the wrath of the crow lord soon.

Thoughts: Nsf/w Ratchet đ¶ïž 18+
Ratchet, being a medic, knows the ins and outs of every life form he studies. With humans in the base, he has taken it upon himself to study the human body (his grumbling doesn't fool you, you know he cares).
That being said, as part of his study, he is... adequately acquainted with the erogenous zones of the human form.
There has been something going on between you two for a while. An unspoken understanding, a closeness between the two of you that is different from your relationships to the others. What if? Your anatomy was surprisingly compatible. Ratchet chastises himself for letting his mind wander, and files the information away.
A few rocky misunderstandings and a heartfelt conversation later, you are... together. It's not as earth-shattering as you might think. You fit together like puzzle pieces, anyway - a sense of comfort settles between you both, a cornerstone in your relationship.
Ratchet's not exactly young, and you are mature enough to savour the entire aspect of taking it slow.
Shared kisses, to pressing yourselves together in berth - his warm chassis, hard, angular planes against your soft body as he cradles you to him and kisses you like you're the only thing that matters.
Touching - "I know what I'm doing, you know," Ratchet grumbles, even though you know it's just for show. "You have a perfectly capable medic here." And if that doesn't send a delicious shiver down your spine. He has indeed done his research. The first time he slides a finger into you - even mass displaced, one finger has you arching your back and gasping for breath - "Where is... should be around here... aha," Ratchet mutters, optics fixated on your expression - and you hear the sound of steam venting from his intake as he feels you clench around him, a moan tearing unbidden from your throat.
You agreed to work your way up together - to actual interfacing. With Ratchet's talented servos already having you trembling and on the edge, you deliriously wonder what it would feel like to take his spike.
Ratchet slowly glides his fingers in and out of you - hungrily taking in every gasp, every moan, every time your eyes flutter closed and your back arches in pleasure - chasing more of him, wanting more of him inside you.
"Humans... also have a node," he mutters to himself, and you nearly wail as he finds your sweet spot - Ratchet himself groans when he feels you tighten impossibly around his fingers. Primus, what would you feel like around his spike?
"That's it, sweetspark," he encourages, voice low. "Show me what you look like when you feel good."
He's a billion year old medic - he's seen it all. The idea that you can let go, without fear of embarrassment - when he murmurs to you that you're the most beautiful creature he's ever seen - you finally allow yourself to crash over the edge, face screwed up in pleasure, - and you manage to catch sight of Ratchet fixated intensely on your face, ex-venting heavily, realizing that your pleasure is precisely what he wants to see.
He works you through your release - motions gentling as you whine with overstimulation - yet, somehow, he knows you're not at your limit yet - his fingers continue their gentle ministrations until you're riding the wave again, gentler this time, moaning against his chassis as another release overtakes you.
You want to reciprocate, of course. You may not have the same resources to study cybertronian anatomy, but you hope Ratchet will allow you some hands-on lessons.

#01 G8 Draw-in-your-style Challenge!
I believe that this is an old challenge, but I decided that thereâs no better way to dust off the old gear than seeing the boys in my style. Really liked playing around the filters. I liked given them this old, Sunday Morning Comics style. The grain is just beautiful.
I guessâŠI should give a little explanation?
Basically, in how I write Hetalia, there was ONE major event that changed the course of their timeline during WW2. Though the world mythos in itself is very different, suffice to say that it was that ONE event that changed the course of their world moving forward. Currently, the Nation Folks assemble as their own private entity to develop livelihood and development projects for underserved communities across the globe, instead of other global matters. Still, many retain a degree of political connection, Nation Folks, in general, all agree that they will always put first the good of humanity over the gain of any singular country. That being saidâŠ
đ Feliciano Vargas - more actively sexual and flirtatious, pretty much a ladies man, has a problem keeping his dick out of places it shouldnât be but heâs a lovable tramp regardless and knows that he can get away with a lot. He has a good heart and a good head, but maybe a little bit of too much casual machismo that makes his comeuppance so fun to watch.
đLudwig Beilschmidt - still pretty much stiff and serious, efficient but also too much of a stickler, is the youngest of the bunch and always has something to prove, Gilbert helps him here and there but he doesnât want Gil to meddle, it may frustrate him that everyone treats him like a kid, but he also knows that it sometimes works in his favor being the âspoiledâ baby brother to many.
đ Seiryuu Honda - to keep things short, Seiryuu is and always has been this universeâs Nation Folk for Japan but Kiku does/did exist for some time for [story reasons] Sei is calm, level-headed but can come off as rather aloof and dazed, he can act a little too familiar with new people and is quite affectionate to friends. Heâs a bit of a Casanova and likes the game of courtship like a round of Shogi. In many ways he might not be stereotypical, but in many ways he comes off as traditional and anachronistic.
đ€ Alfred Jones - Heroism runs deep in this hot-blooded cowpoke, not the flashy guns or the prestige, but the hard work of running down the pavement for change. Heâs charming, mature, headstrong, and value honest and just work. Heâs the singular cause of the ONE event, becoming a catalyst to multiple OTHER notable events during WW2. Unfortunately, this has caused him excommunicated from the US government, which suits him fine as he can more actively participate in projects.
đžArthur Kirkland - No one fucks around with the ruling class more than Art, who has historically been a thorn in many administrations throughout the colorful history of his homeland. He is a rebel with a cause down to his core, sticking it up anyoneâs arse if it means fighting for whatâs right. Boston Tea Party? He was also pissing on the cartons before throwing them overboard? The IRA? Girl, he was a damn recruiter. Has he been beaten, threatened, and killed because of his insolence? Sure, but no one is gonna look good as him doing it.
â±ïžFrancis Bonnefoy - (P.S. I meant to draw him removing his shirt because someone accidentally spilled wine on him) Residing far away from the bustle of Paris, Franc lives the coastal orchard life along the south of France. Heâs a country boy at heart who likes living the simple life. He is very introspective, usually keeps to himself, but isnât really afraid to voice out his measured opinions. Some might say he is a tad but wistful, but many friends know heâs just daydreaming of being back in his orchard surrounded by good company and a glass of the finest wine.
đ
Ivan Braginsky - No one can take this MATERIAL GWORL. Daddy Russia is a Mama Bear who claps back at heartless Capitalism and works tirelessly as the acting Chairman of the Union to increase wages and living conditions across the social classes. He is tongue-in-cheek, no nonsense, and fabulous, but above all, a big and caring figure who thinks much for others more than himself sometimes and is just grateful to come home and be wrapped around by a certain Lithuanianâs strong armsâBig Mama deserves some honey after a long dayâs work.
đYao Wang - Wang is a funny characters to me. He can come across as uncouth and overfamiliar, but he just doesnât take life as seriously as the others. Itâs been a long ride and thereâs too much more ground to cover than he wishes to put the effort into. He likes to complain about the silliest things, but damn, if he isnât telling the truth every time he opens his mouth.

Another day another ask mysteriously disappearing from my inbox when i'm about to hit post on the reply
Anyway the question was basically "what do you think of the "Jason isn't able to get over his death while bruce is capable of forgiving joe chill and sitting by him as he dies" take and doesn't it sound a little like the "everybody died he ain't special " take?"
Why yes. Yes it does sound like that. My thoughts on that idea, in no particular order:
- it's almost 2025 are we still placing moral judgement on characters based on the comparison between how they're enduring their trauma what happened to the universal singularity of human suffering what happened to not comparing apples and bananas weren't we taught not to do that in elementary school
-Is this about the Three Joker comics? It sounds like it is, anyway uh that comics is not mainline (and has pretty shitty writing imo), in mainline even in his least flattering runs (ie Battle for the Cowl) Jason hasn't gone postal because of his death in a while (in BTFC it was Bruce's death and the mention of the "unresolved dark horrors of his childhood" triggering a bad parody of some sort of psychotic break) so like i guess criticizing Jason for something he isn't doing is kinda strange
-if anything Bruce is the one "not over" Jason's death considering the flashback he had right at the beginning of Failsafe arc (though of course demanding he just gets over the trauma of holding his dead son's corpse is just as absurd as demanding Jason gets over the trauma of having died)
-honestly staying by Chill's side as he died was pretty cool and heroic on Bruce's part, totally agreed, that was badass of him to not let him die alone despite his trauma. That being said can we please stop tying morality to the concept of forgiveness? Implying there's a goodness of heart to forgiving/getting over your trauma is weird, it way too puch pressure on the victim, we should stop with the "good victim/bad victim" narrative, martyrdom culture is harmful. If forgiving Chill helped Bruce, cool for him, Jason is in no obligation to forgive Joker, and also Bruce forgiving Chill =/= staying by his side as he died, those are two separate things
-if we're comparing coping we have to compare resources, what does Jason's support system at that time compared to Bruce? Should we make a tally to see who has more friends especially close ones? We both know who will win but also that it's a completely stupid and pointless arrangement, how many apples and oranges must we compare before we conceptualize that it's not the same fruit?
-in terms of personal taste, I find placing moral judgement on characters is about the least interesting analysis angle I can imagine, like, congrats, you've established Angel McPerfect is a better person than Asshole McInteresting! Now multiply me by one and subtract zero.
-kinda hilarious to criticise Jason for not getting over his death and compare that to the coping of a man who dresses as a bat to cope with something that happened thirty years ago. Like if he's so over his trauma why is he wearing pointy ears
-also, obviously, the idea that characters should just "get over their trauma" is insanely dumb. Trauma is like a wound. It can scar, if treated properly, and then the scar will always be there. Imagine telling someone they should get cosmetic surgery because "we get it, you got stabbed, you don't have to shove it in my face every time I look at you." Or telling someone whose wound got infected "why can't you be more like this guy? Look, his stab wound is all healed nice and clean by now. It's like you're not even trying !"
Anyway I hope that answers your question and you have a good day anon, I agree with you that that take is weird, I truly don't understand the reasoning beside "i don't like jason". Idk maybe these people just need to...chill.
#ngl sometimes i get ask that are a blatant invitation to talk shit#and i'm like sure yk what i can talk shit with you#also call me the joker cause that pun was fucking terrible#dc#jason todd#dc comics#red hood#ask#batman#batman three jokers? maybe

My mom has her TV on in her room almost 24/7 and it's always on some news outlet or other. We talk a lot about politics and world/national/local events. And we do have a lot of varying views on a lot of things but we're both adults who are capable of saying "well we've both stated we have differing opinions and it's clear that we're actually arguing at this point and not just talking so let's put away the topic for now." But there are also other times where I'm just too overwhelmed by my own life to think about what's going on in the bigger world around me, so my mom knows to be hesitant to bring up news stuff with me (i.e. she doesn't just start talking about politics/world events with me rather she'll ask if I'm in the mindset to discuss things when she wants my opinion on something). This is all relevant.
We've always been able to talk about nearly everything from the economy to the school system to human rights to human tragedy and we've never tried to censor ourselves around each other (outside of getting too emotional with our language). But about two weeks ago when the United Healthcare CEO was assassinated, my mom, who is in her 50s, came to me and she said "Did you see that the CEO of United Healthcare got unalived?"
And I just sat there and looked at her completely confused and she was like "did you not hear about it? It's all over the news. It happened in clear view on the street." Like the problem was that I hadn't heard of the event not that my Gen-X mother had just in a real life conversation said the word "unalived".
And I told her as much. "Yes I've heard that. Why did you say 'unalived' instead of 'murdered'?
And she told me that she just thought that since I'm touchy about heavier topics sometimes (which is definitely true, that does occasionally happen) she thought it would be better to just not use the "heavy" words. I asked her if she realized, honestly, how stupid that was because regardless of the word she used, she was still talking about a murder, it didn't change the subject matter, she was only making the subject matter seem less significant and severe by changing the word to baseless internet lingo that a bunch of misguided, clout-chasing influencers spread.
She hadn't. She's doesn't use the Internet replacement words a lot, online or otherwise. This was a first. She thought this was a different situation, and a fine one to use it in, and like the above stories people shared, it's still not.
I'm allowed to say there are days where I want to avoid heavier topics because I'm overwhelmed. I'm allowed to not ever really discuss certain topics because they actually trigger me based on my own experiences. But people who are out here living their whole lives like just talking about about difficult or controversial topics, or asking questions about it, or enjoying media where it's portrayed (especially when it's actually portrayed respectfully) are being ridiculous, and they're handicapping themselves. They're never going to learn how to talk about hard things, or how to handle hard things. And honestly I feel bad for them.
Luckily, in my case, once I explained why my mom saying what she said was incredibly weird and honestly devaluing to the conversation, she backtracked and told me that (like I said above) she doesn't talk like that regularly and she has no intention to start; it's just that this was a huge news event and that day had been particularly rough for me emotionally and she wasn't sure how to approach it. So her intentions were good and I'm very lucky that she understands and also agrees that the Internet censorship language is incredibly unnecessary.
we have GOT to kill tiktok/twitter self-censorship i just witnessed a grown adult say the word âsmexâ out loud to our professor

Listen, I'm going to chew on Hazel, he isn't safe from me!
That being said, I imagine this lorge man is just *so* warm and cuddly. Could I ask for a warm cuddle sesh with him and his freeze baby S/O?
Thank you so much for the Hazard food, btw.
-Jaki đ
Giant Heater
Hazard x Reader [REQUEST]
A/S: Alright you lil PHREAKS itâs time for a cuddle sesh, we all need a lil aftercare after all :].
Summary: Lately itâs gotten colder than usual and what better way to warm up than to cuddle your giant human heater.
The chill in the air was relentless, a biting cold that seeped into your bones no matter how tightly you wrapped yourself in the blankets. Two layers deep, and it still felt like the cold was winning. Your breath puffed out in small, visible clouds, a stark reminder that winter had fully arrived.
The heater in your room groaned and sputtered, but it did little to fight off the icy grip of the night. Shivering, you pulled the blankets tighter around you and stared at the ceiling, debating your next move.
There was only one solution that made sense.
You tiptoed through the hall, careful not to make a sound, and found yourself standing outside Hazardâs door. Your fingers hesitated on the handle for a moment before you quietly opened it. The room was dark, save for the faint purple glow of a lava lamp on the bedside table. Hazard lay sprawled beneath a thick comforter, his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm.
He looked peaceful, his sharp features softened in sleep, his usually intense presence muted by the quiet of the room. You hesitated again, feeling a pang of guilt for disturbing him, but another shiver wracked your body, urging you forward. You padded over to his bed and slid beneath the covers. The warmth was immediate, but not enoughâso you scooted closer until your body was pressed against his.
He stirred almost instantly, a low, rumbling groan escaping his lips. His arm fell away from his face, and his sleepy, half-lidded eyes turned toward you.
âWhatâre ye doinâ?â His voice was thick with sleep, the rich Scottish lilt making it sound softer than usual.
âFreezingâ you mumbled, already nestling into him. Your arms wrapped around his waist as you pressed your face against his chest.
Hazard blinked, then huffed a low chuckle. âAch, yer colder than a bloody snowstorm. Couldâve warned me, aye?â Despite the grumble in his tone, his arms moved to envelop you, pulling you even closer.
You murmured something incoherent, too focused on soaking up his warmth to respond properly. His chest rumbled against you as he let out another laugh, this one softer, almost affectionate.
âYeâre like a wee cat, burrowinâ under the coversâ he teased, his hand moving to rest on your back. âNext time, just get in. Donât fash yerselâ about askinâ.â
âDidnât wanna bother youâ you muttered, voice muffled against him.
âBother? Yeâre daft if ye think cuddlinâ is a bother. Now quit wrigglinâ and let me get back tae sleep, sweet cheeks.â His arms tightened around you, trapping you snugly against him.
The heat of his body chased away the cold almost instantly, and you felt yourself relaxing, the tension in your muscles melting away. His fingers idly traced circles on your back as he mumbled, âYeâre lucky Iâm such a generous heater, aye?â
âMm, very luckyâ you agreed sleepily, already drifting off. You couldnât see the way his gaze softened as he looked down at you, but it was thereâclear adoration shining in his sleepy eyes. A small smile tugged at his lips as he watched you, your breathing evening out as the cold finally let you relax. Hazardâs chuckle was the last thing you heard before sleep claimed you, the sound warm and reassuring.
âDaft wee little thingâ he muttered under his breath, his tone dripping with affection. âCanât believe yeâd suffer alone when Iâm right here.â
His arms tightened around you briefly before his own exhaustion began to claim him again. With one last glance at youâso small and peaceful in his embraceâhe closed his eyes, his heart feeling impossibly full.
The world outside remained bitterly cold, but within Hazardâs arms, you found a warmth that nothing could touch. And as the two of you drifted off to sleep, it was clear he wouldnât have traded this moment for anything.

Do you have any tattoo headcanons about characters? (Except solomons pact marks we all agree on that đđœđ)
Solomon and his stupid pact marks make me insane đ©
Er uh anyway. The first thing that comes to mind is Barbatos because of course. I mean our guy barely shows any skin. Unless he takes off his gloves or rolls up his sleeves, heâs pretty much completely covered. Which means he could have any amount of tattoos. I think it would be really cool if he had hand & arm tats. I donât really see him getting too crazy with it though so I think heâd just have black ink and itâd all be meaningful symbols of some kind. Maybe even magic like protection sigils for when he travels through time. Heâs had them for ages, from way before he ever met Diavolo. Theyâre kind of a relic of his past now, but they remind him of when he was reckless.
I think Mammon would get something dedicated to MC. Like their name over his heart or something. I could also see him getting something gambling related, like playing cards or lucky numbers.
Beel kinda has one in his human outfit. I donât know if thatâs just supposed to be part of his disguise or if itâs real. But I think it represents the kind of tats I think Beel would get. Those sorta tribal style abstract situations.
Belphie would get some kinda constellation tattoo. Something small and in an unexpected place like his hip maybe.
Asmo of course the first thing that comes to mind is a tramp stamp. Sorry Asmo lol. But I actually think he would like something really beautiful and elaborate. Like a whole arm sleeve of cherry blossoms or something. But I also think heâd want to change it up a lot so I donât think heâd actually get something permanent. I think I had an anon mention this before that he wouldnât want to mess up his perfect skin lol.
I donât really see Lucifer as the tattoo type. But if he was gonna get something, I think it would have to have a lot of meaning. And heâd want it somewhere easy to hide. But man I just canât really imagine it with him for some reason?
Levi is too chicken but if he was gonna get something heâd either get some kinda fan situation, like his favorite character or a symbol from his favorite video game, or something like Lotan or a kraken or some such. Though it would be cool if he got one when he was more active as an admiral. Then itâd probably be something real traditional like an anchor lol.
Satan would get poetry. Or like his favorite line from his favorite novel. Words. I could see them like on the inside of his arm or maybe on his ribcage.
For some reason I love the idea of Diavolo with a huge back tattoo. Maybe of a dragon. Or at least something red lol.
Simeon would have something small and simple. Like a feather on the inside of his finger or something like that.
Raphael I could see getting a spear on his arm. He has an obsession lol.
Mephisto seems like he wouldnât get one, but I do think itâd be cool if he had one that was in a hidden spot. Like itâs something few people know he has. I donât know what it would be⊠I donât think heâd get a horse tattooed on him lol. More likely some kind of meaningful symbol, perhaps for protection. Or like if his noble family has a coat of arms, heâd get that just below the nape of his neck.
Thirteen has a tattoo but if she was gonna have others⊠I really love the idea that she has something on her hip thatâs really soft like a flower or a butterfly and it matches her hair. Or maybe on her ankle.

Bloodthirst âËđâ đđđđ đĄ đđđĄđ

As punishment for your sins, you, a young vampire, are banished â not just from your home, but to a different world entirely. Now, you find yourself in a foreign place where Quirks and heroes are the norm. In addition to coming to terms with your new life, you must also face your greatest challenge: controlling your massive thirst for blood.
previous | story masterlist | next
Izukuâs big green eyes were wide and trembling. He looked appalled, and somewhat horrified as well, although you supposed that was only natural, considering what youâd just asked him. In a human-dominated world such as this one, someone like you was an obvious anomaly. Â
Still, you werenât feeling well right now. Far from it, as a matter of fact. The suddenness of your being brought into this different realm was clearly having an adverse effect on your body. You couldnât remember the last time youâd felt such a dizzying wave of hunger before. Â
If you didnât consume some blood, and soon, things were going to get ugly. Â
You swallowed hard, trying not to scare him too much. âI can understand... why youâd be shocked. Iâve been catching you off guard with so many different things. But, um, you see... Iâm actually a vampire. I need to drink blood in order to survive. And I'm feeling super weak all of a sudden...â Â
Cue the silence. He wasnât speaking at all. Actually, it was more accurate to say that he couldnât speak, what with the way his mouth had frozen from shock. His reaction was enough to tell you that vampires definitely werenât commonplace in this world, unlike what youâd been hoping for. Â
âV-Vampire,â Izuku blinked, still trying to wrap his head around your words. âThis is all just... Iâm sorry, but I donât know what to think. By vampire, you mean those supernatural beings that drink blood from humans?â Â
âAh. So, you have heard of us.â Â
âOnly in books and movies! Not in real life!â Â
âWell, it looks as though what may be fiction in one world is actually reality in another. When you think about it, having multiple worlds in the first place is already crazy enough. Before I was cast away, I hadnât even considered the possibility.â Â
As much as you would have loved to sit down and have a proper conversation explaining the details of your situation, you could feel yourself growing weaker by the second. At first, it was just that your body felt hot and you were rather dizzy, but your stomach was starting to have painful pangs, and the cut on your shoulder was throbbing uncontrollably. You hadnât realized just how much strain this change would place on your body. Fuck...Â
You felt like you might go insane. Â
âI-Iâm sorry for frightening you,â you managed weakly. This was bad. This was really, really bad. If Izuku didnât agree to give you some of his blood, you were afraid that in your desperation, you might just lunge straight at him. The whole purpose of you being here was so that you could learn to control yourself, but how could you do that under these circumstances? Your body felt like it was being ripped apart from the inside. Even your brain was starting to turn to mush. Â
Izuku now looked visibly concerned, although it could have been that your vision was also starting to fail you. Either way, it seemed like he was beginning to take your words much more seriously. The way you kept on gasping for breath and clutching at your injured shoulder probably had something to do with it. Â
âAre you... telling the truth?â he asked quietly. âIf youâre really telling the truth, and you need to do this otherwise you wonât survive... then I donât mind giving you my blood.â Â
You gave him a look of disbelief. He... actually believed you? If vampires truly didnât exist in this world, then he really had no reason to. You imagined that most people would have probably shrugged you off, assuming that you were putting on some overdramatic performance for whatever reason. Maybe they would have even thought you were insane. Â
But not Izuku. You could tell by the way he was looking at you. Whether or not he was truly convinced by your words, it seemed like in this moment, the only thing he was interested in was helping to ease your pain. Â
He wanted to save you. That was what his eyes seemed to convey. Â
âIf you really donât mind... then, please,â you nodded. Beads of cold sweat had begun to form across your forehead. You were on the verge of passing out if you didnât drink any blood soon, and now that you were in a foreign land, you feared to discover just how dire the consequences would be. Â
Izuku glanced around, then gestured for you to follow him. âL-Letâs maybe go somewhere a bit more private,â he offered. âIf you think youâre able to make it a bit further...?â Â
That was probably for the best. Drawing needless attention to yourself wouldnât do you any favors, and you were fairly certain that most people would be flabbergastedâand probably horrifiedâif they saw what you were about to do. Â
Steeling yourself against the pain, you followed Izuku and headed for a more secluded area. He kept on glancing over at you nervously the whole time, checking in to make sure you were still okay. Well, you werenât really okay, but relief was only a short while away, so you told yourself to hold on just a bit longer.Â
Finally, you seemed to have reached a good spot. A small alleyway behind a rather shoddy-looking building. You hoped its poor condition meant that most people wouldnât come this way.Â
Izuku looked nervous, and you couldnât really blame him. âUm, so...â he said, twiddling his thumbs. âH-How exactly do we do this...?â Â
âThe neck,â you said, swallowing impatiently. âItâs the easiest spot for me to bite into. But if youâre too scared, I could use your arm instead. Actually, maybe itâs better that way. Itâll be easier for you to push me back if you need to.â Â
âWhy would I need to push you back?â Â
âBecause...â Â
Because I might not be able to stop myself. Â
You didnât voice that last part out loud, as guilty as you felt about it. There was no point in scaring Izuku off, especially since it wouldnât change your predicament in the slightest. If he got too frightened and ran off, you would just have to find some other poor person to feed off. And unlike with Izuku, you doubted they would go along so willingly. Â
You also didnât exactly have the luxury of time on your side. The longer you waited, the weaker you became and the more ravenous you felt. The worst-case scenario would be if you lost control of yourself and started attacking people indiscriminately. After all, your family wouldnât be here to stop you this time. Â
âNever mind,â you said with a shake of your head. âBut... if youâre sure you want to do this, then please roll up your sleeve and stick your arm out.â Â
Izuku nodded hastily and did just that. He exposed his forearm, which was practically blemish-free, a small dusting of freckles strewn across certain areas. Even though hardly anything had changed, you could feel your heart beating a bit faster. He smelled way too good. If this was how good he smelled, you could only imagine how much better he would taste. Â
It was a challenge, but you forced yourself to get a grip. You never wanted a repeat of what had happened with your friend. You never wanted to hurt someone like that ever again.
Fingers shaking a bit, you carefully grabbed Izukuâs arm and lifted it towards your mouth. You were both quite nervous, it looked like, but each for the opposite reason. Izukuâs was for fear of getting hurt, and yours was for fear of hurting him. Â
But there was no way around it. You werenât about to roll over and die after being in this new world for less than a day. Â
You parted your lips and unhinged your jaw. Izuku let out a little gasp when he saw the way your teeth sharpened; your canines turning into pointed fangs. If he didnât believe you to begin with, it looked like he was definitely starting to now. Â
âThis is going to hurt quite a bit,â you warned him. You felt it was only fair for him to prepare himself in advance. Izuku, however, didnât seem deterred. Â
âItâs okay,â he nodded. âYou need help. Iâm going to help you.â Â
Without giving him another chance to second-guess his decision, you sank your fangs into the skin near his wrist. As expected, he let out a hiss and sucked in a breath of air to keep from screaming. All things considered, he was taking it surprisingly well. Most people who werenât used to having their blood sucked tended to panic quite a bit the first time. Â
But honestly, you were too distracted to marvel in his bravery right now. Just as youâd surmised, his blood really was beyond your expectations. Different humans tended to have different tastes; like with everything else in life, there was a certain amount of variety you could expect. That being said, youâd tasted plenty of delicious blood before. Â
Even so, Izukuâs was easily the best.
You slurped from his skin greedily, relieved to feel your strength coming back to you almost at once. Every so often, Izuku would scrunch up his nose and shudder. His eyes were squeezed shut, probably because he was too scared to actually watch what was happening. That was fine, though. He was already being more than generous towards you, and for a human whoâd only just found out vampires actually existed, his courage was truly admirable. Â
It was like youâd died and gone to heaven, if there really was such a place. Assuming vampires were allowed in heaven, anyways. The point was that youâd never tasted anything so delicious before in your entire life, and you wanted to keep gorging yourself on his bloodâfor the rest of eternity, if you could. Â
Alas, you couldnât. It was hard, really hard, but you forced yourself to pull away. Izukuâs blood was intoxicating, but you needed to learn from your mistakes. You couldnât harm the person whoâd risked his own wellbeing just to try and help you. Â
Gaze lidded, you wiped the back of your hand across your mouth, cleaning away any blood that still lingered on your lips. âAll done,â you said. Â
Izuku finally worked up the nerve to open his eyes again and get a proper look at you. He paused for a moment, looking a bit uncertain, before finally glancing down near his wrist, where he noticed the two puncture marks your fangs had left behind. Â
âY-You really drank my blood,â he marveled, lightly pressing near the wounds. They were definitely tender, so he winced a bit when he applied a touch too much force. Â
âThank you so much,â you sighed heavily. âIâm feeling a lot better now. I made sure not to take too much blood from you, but how is it? Are you feeling lightheaded or anything like that? Does it still hurt a lot even though Iâve stopped?â Â
Izuku shook his head. âNo... Iâm okay. Iâm not really sure how to describe it, but I could definitely feel that you were sucking my blood out. I-It's not a sensation I ever thought I would experience, that much is for sure.â Â
âYouâre amazing, Izuku. You let me suck your blood even though you must have been so scared.â Â
âIâm nothing special!â he blurted. His face had turned red again. You figured it had less to do with you sucking his blood and more so the fact that youâd complimented him. âYou werenât looking so good earlier, but it seems like thatâs changed for the better now. Iâm so relieved,â he smiled. âThat means I was able to make a difference, right?â Â
Although youâd only just met, it was already abundantly clear that he was a good guy. Â
You grinned back at him. âBack in my world, even the humans that are used to having their blood sucked still get a bit scared from time to time. But you took it like a champ, even though you didnât know what to expect. You really are incredible. Thereâs no need to be embarrassed. Being brave is something to take pride in.â Â
âI-I-If you say so!â Izuku spluttered nervously. He didnât seem to handle praise well. Perhaps he wasnât used to hearing it? Â
If that was the case, then youâd have to do your best to change fix that. Â
But seriously... what a relief. I felt like I was going to die if I didnât drink any blood right away. Â
The reality was that you very well could have died. There was no one here to look after you. Even though this punishment seemed quite cruel, you knew that youâd only ended up in this position thanks to your negligence. A life was a life. Like your parents had said, you needed to never take it for granted ever again. Â
Although the momentary silence wasnât unsettling, Izuku still felt the need to chime in. âUm, so... are you okay now, [Name]?â Â
âYes! Iâm as good as new,â you beamed, twirling in place for emphasis. Â
âIâm glad to hear that. But... what are you going to do next? You said you donât have a place to live, right? Because your family sent you here?â Â
Ah. Right. Even though the emergency had been dealt with, you were still pretty royally screwed. Â
You nodded somberly. âYeah. I did something to really upset them, so they told me Iâm not allowed to come home until Iâve taken the time to reflect on my mistakes and mature a bit.â Â
âStill... a whole different world?â Izuku gaped. âThatâs way too severe of a punishment, no matter what! How could your parents do that to you? What exactly did you do that made them so angry?â
You swallowed. Honestly, you were hesitant to reveal the exact reason behind your banishment. Izuku had been nothing but kind to you, but if he found out what youâd done, he might leave you behind and never look back. Â
âI donât want to say,â you admitted, casting your head to the ground. âIâm sorry. Just... not right away. Maybe once you get to know me a bit better.â Â
Izuku looked surprised at first, but he quickly shook his head. âNo, I shouldnât have tried to pry in the first place!â he reassured. âIt sounds like youâve been through a lot already. I canât even imagine what I would do if I was in your place... sorry for pressuring you for an answer.â Â
âThereâs no reason to apologize. Itâs only natural to be curious.â Â
You really were fortunate to have run into Izuku. For once, acting on your bloodthirst had proven to be the right call. Â
Still. You were very much in a sticky situation.
âThis is incredibly shameless of me,â you started, clenching your hands into fists and swallowing your embarrassment, âbut... is there any way I might be able to stay with you for a little while? As of now, youâre the only one who knows that Iâm a vampire from a different world. Iâm just really lost and afraid, but youâve been so nice to me, and even helped me. Just for a little whileâjust long enough for me to figure out what to do next. Would that be okay...?â Â
Of course it wasnât okay. You couldnât believe that you were even daring to impose on him like this. But you werenât lying about being scared. Just because you were strong didnât mean that you didnât get nervous or doubt yourself. You were only fourteen years old, apart from your family for the very first timeâliterally worlds apart. Â
You were far from perfect, and you knew that. You just hoped that Izuku might be willing to put up with you for a little longer.
âOkay.â Â
You blinked. Â
Wait... what did he just say? Â
It wasnât just the fact that heâd said it. It was the way heâd said it, with little to no hesitation whatsoever.Â
Izuku smiled shyly. âYou need help, and Iâm happy that you think I might be able to lend a hand. Normally I would suggest going to the heroes for something serious like this... but your situation is definitely unique, so I can understand why youâd be scared when you donât know anything about this place. We can figure out a solution together... a-alright?â Â
Tears welled up in your eyes. You couldnât help it. He wasnât just a good guy. He was an absolute angel. Â
âMy hero!â you couldnât help but cry out, throwing yourself over him and giving him a big hug. âOh, thank you! Thank you so much! This means more to me than youâll ever know! I promise that no matter what I have to do, Iâll find a way to repay you somehow!â Â
Izuku let out a noise that was somewhere in between a squeak and a gasp. He didnât try to push you off as you squeezed your arms around him. Actually, his face was so red that it looked like he was about to start blowing steam from his ears, so you figured he was frozen stiff from shock. Â
At the risk of sending him into cardiac arrest, you decided you should probably pull away and give him some space. Â
âSorry about that,â you apologized sheepishly. âI got a bit too excited there.â Â
Izukuâs cheeks were still aflush, and he was staring at you in some sort of daze. â...hero,â he mumbled. Â
âHm?â Â
âYou just... called me your hero,â he swallowed, suddenly looking as though he was about to cry tears of joy. Â
âBecause you are,â you encouraged happily. âYouâre saving me big-time!â Â
âItâs just... no oneâs ever said that to me before. Not a single person.â Â
âWow. So, I guess that makes me the first!â Â
âYeah.â Izuku let out a giggle, and you couldâve sworn your heart skipped a beat. He was grinning ear-to-ear now. âYouâre the first, [Name].â Â
Something told you that despite being banished, this world had plenty of bright moments in store for you.

These are all excellent analytics, and things that people should keep in mind while theyâre engaging in media. One thing Iâd also like to add: the same thing applies to writing as well. Often times characters are idealized variations of human nature, but if you actively try and aim realistic then you WILL run into places where you flat out disagree with or even despise the people youâre writing about. I nearly scrapped a scene I was working on because âI hate absolutely everyone within this interactionâ and then it clicked as I looked back that was the point of the scene I was writing. That not even the nicest people react in ways which are logical, fair, or kind. Dealing with the topic of mental illness in particular (coming from a disabled writer) can lead you into some very left field territories and very interesting unreliable narrators.
And on the topic of reading and analyzing literature itself: I had to fight for us to read One Flew Over The Cuckooâs Nest in my mental illness lit class in college. People were upset about reading it due to the dated viewpoints several of the characters have on race, and the objectively uncomfortable attitude of McMurphy. But it is important to understand that their existence in the book is not endorsement regardless of how the characters look at things. Youâre not always supposed to agree with the protagonist.
A modern example that comes to mind is BoJack Horseman. Absolutely heart-wrenching TV series where youâre actively supposed to dislike the actions of not only BoJack himself, but many of the other characters as well. No one is faultless. And sometimes, thatâs the point.
One thing about fandom culture is that it sort of trains you to interact with and analyze media in a very specific way. Not a BAD way, just a SPECIFIC way.
And the kind of media that attracts fandoms lends itself well (normally) to those kinds of analysis. Mainly, youâre supposed to LIKE and AGREE with the main characters. Themes are built around agreeing with the protagonists and condemning the antagonists, and taking the protagonists at their word.
Which is fine if youâre looking at, like, 99% of popular anime and YA fiction and Marvel movies.
But it can completely fall apart with certain kinds of media. If someone who has only ever analyzed media this way is all of a sudden handed Lolita or 1984 or Gatsby, which deal in shitty unreliable narrators; or even books like Beloved or Catcher in the Rye (VERY different books) that have narrators dealing with and reacting to challenging situations- well⊠thatâs how you get some hilariously bad literary analysis.
I dont know what my point here is, really, exceptâŠlikeâŠI find it very funny when people are like âugh. I hate Gatsby and Catcher because all the characters are shittyâ which likeâŠ.isntâŠ.the point. Lololol you arent supposed to kin Gatsby.

I've seen a lot of people say that Viktor was controlled/corrupted by the hexcore and that's why he did everything
But personally I don't think that's the case
Like maybe... getting convinced by it, like the friend that just keeps telling you "yes! That's a great idea", but not controlled. Viktor always had it in him to do that, even in s1
Let me explain
Viktor is this character that I don't think I get completely, so I keep thinking about him. But I see people say "Oh, he's getting controlled because Viktor isn't like this at all" or "that's not Viktor" and the thing is; I don't agree
I think Herald Viktor is the real Viktor, same as s1 Viktor, it has always been him 100%
First we don't actually know how Viktor is with most people. Most of the time we see him, he's interacting with Jayce, and I think we can admit that Viktor has a lot of affection for Jayce
But we see him interacting with Mel briefly And I always found funny how he reacts when she brings up the hextech weapons, all dramatic and offended, he's like "Absolutely not!" But then he "calms down" as soon as he sees that Jayce isn't supporting him, he even looks a bit sad
I'm mentioning this because of how different he acts with Ambessa later when she asks him for an immortal army; he agrees with everything she wants, of course he won't give her that, he just wants to trick her into helping him, but it does makes me think that had he been alone when Mel started asking about building weapons, or had he known that Jayce wouldn't support him, he probably would've acted in a similar way to how he was with Ambessa, agreed with everything Mel wanted to get her off his business while he thought of another solution
And my point with this is, I think a lot of people assume that Viktor is an innocent little angel that is always honest and just wants to do good; but we only see him being honest with Jayce (most of the time); because he truly trusts him (tbf he's also honest with Singed, but I think he probably has affection for him as well); with the rest of the world Viktor is more than able to lie and manipulate to get what he wants; he isn't necessary a 100% good perfect person
Now, let's looks at how Viktor acts in the commune, because I think everyone can agree independently of whether you think the hexcore was controlling Viktor, that at this moment Viktor is still pretty much in control of himself and his actions
There's this comic called "a perfect life" about LoL Ekko, where Viktor is the antagonist; it has an oddly similar plot to the second season of arcane, (apparently this comic is from 2023 and by that time Arcane s2 was probably on the last part of production, so Idk why it's similar, but anyway!) In the comic, there's a rich dude offering free prosthetics (augmentations? Let's be honest they are futuristic prosthetics) to the people of Zaun, and everyone goes to get one part of their bodies replaced with technology willingly. Then later it's revealed that Viktor is the one actually doing all the surgeries lmao
But that got me thinking, Viktor in LoL doesn't need better morals, he needs better PR!
Because, people want Viktor's help, the only part they don't like it's the losing humanity and free will, which, understandable
But then, why does everyone still go to Viktor in the series? Because he isn't saying the whole truth
When Ambessa asks him if he could inhabit his followers, Viktor simply says they all share one mind and that it was part of his glorious evolution. He doesn't act surprised, It doesn't seem like he didn't know, he simply shrugs and is like "Yes, this was part of what I wanted"
But he never said that to his followers? When Vi and Jinx are talking to Viktor about healing Vander, Viktor never says "oh, btw, if I do this, your dad is going to lose his individuality and become part of my hive mind, hope that's ok :)". No, he simply says that he'll do what he can to heal him.
And again, you could argue that he lied because the hexcore was controlling him, but I still think that lying was 100% Viktor's choice and the only thing the hexcore could do or did was suggest him to do so
Why am I so sure Viktor wasn't controlled in this moment?
Remember when Viktor first meets Vander, Sky; who is very heavily implied to be the Hexcore, tells him to not save him because it would be too taxing to do so for Viktor. And he says no, that he wants to help Vander, because he thinks Vander it's worth it.
And I think that's all the power the Hexcore has over Viktor, suggest certain things, but at the end Viktor it's still on control; because if Viktor is the Hexcore's host, then it would be very detrimental for both of them if Viktor lost all his energy, both of them could die if that happened; yet Viktor ignored it for Vander's sake
So the lying by omission he did with his commune, if it wasn't his idea, it was something he 100% agreed with. And again, Viktor isn't 100% innocent, he's an intelligent man that knows how to lie and manipulate and will do so if he thinks it's necessary
(Which makes it so old Viktor in LoL is more honest than Arcane Viktor and that's so funny to me lmao)
Now, I know people say that Herald Viktor it's a corrupted version of Viktor, but I don't think so. Not corrupted, but something Viktor always had the potential to be. Herald Viktor was the version of him with the most control over his actions and surrondings; he's the Viktor that was always inside him, the person he would've been if he didn't feel limited by his own body, by his social status, by where he was born, and this shows on how this parallels Jayce's arc
I've seen a lot of people saying that Jayce went through what Viktor had to suffer, having to climb up from the deepest parts of Zaun with a hurt leg to the top of Piltover, only that with Jayce it was literal. But I saw someone on tiktok (I don't remember the account and I can't find the video anymore, sorry :( ) pointing out that Viktor also had to go through what happened to Jayce in the first season
In the first season, Jayce was a scientist with a pretty face and charming personality that was seduced by power, he was suddenly given a lot of it, and instead of holding onto his ideals, he turned away from them. He became a corrupt politician and then used that power to betray Heimerdinger, someone who was very important to him. Later he thought himself judge, jury, and executioner and that resulted in a child from Zaun dying
Viktor finds himself in a similar position, a scientist with a healthy perfect body that was suddenly given a lot of power, he became the leader of a community, someone people looked up to for guidance and help. And then after Jayce rejected him he also thought he was judge, jury, and executioner with the right to do whatever he wanted because he was right and everyone else was wrong. The problem being that Viktor had way more power than Jayce ever did
So, if anything Viktor wasn't being corrupted by the Hexcore, the thing that seduced Viktor was power over other people
And you could say "Viktor during the first season wasn't like that at all" but it's easier to be a good person when you don't have the choice to harm others
Another point to add it's that Arcane is a series that uses a lot of visual storytelling, if you just hear the dialogue you are missing 50% percent of the story at the very least; it trusts you to see what's going on
Now, after Ekko throws the Z drive at him and breaks the mask of the Arcane Herald; we can see the real Viktor underneath
I think this is why a lot of people think the Hexcore was controlling Viktor because we see the Arcane Herald, then we see "real" Viktor underneath, but that's not necessarily the case. In that moment we see half of Viktor's face, but look at what we can exactly see; his whole mouth and one eye are visible
Viktor is seeing what's going on, he understands what is happening around him; but he isn't seeing the whole picture, hence why it's only 1 eye. But his mouth is completely uncovered, whatever he says, that is 100% Viktor no doubt
And if Viktor was truly being controlled by the Hexcore/arcane/void/whatever, that would be the perfect moment for Viktor to snap out of it. For Viktor to say "this isn't me" and fight to get away from the corrupting force
But that isn't what happens, what happens is that Viktor is confused by Jayce's insistence and he says "Why do you persist? After everything I've done" this isn't Viktor saying "oh, I'm being controlled, help" this is him saying "I've done horrible things, why don't you hate me?"
So, Viktor was 100% aware of what was happening, he understood that what he was doing was wrong, and he still did it anyway
To add to this, there's this meme about Arcane that said something like "when in Arcane somebody is robbing banks and killing people the songs will start saying "oh, I'm robbing banks and killing people"" and that's true, and sometimes it's funny; but other times it's useful because the songs say things we aren't seeing
The line is 100% Viktor's song; it's the song that's playing as he erases Vander's memories (and the memories of the rest of his followers as well probably) and decides to give in and transform into the Herald
Once again, if the Hexcore was controlling Viktor, I think the song would've said something like "there's demons in my head" or "I can't help myself"
But no, the line is about someone, in this case Viktor; thinking about the consequences of his actions and if he's ready to accept them
The part where it says
"Honestly
I thought I was fully prepared for
The threshold in store
Stay your pretty eyes on course
I guess I never really faced my fears before
So stay with me because"
For me it's Viktor basically saying "I thought I was ready for the world (Jayce) to hate me; but I'm not so sure if I can face my fears of being alone"
Again, it's not about him not being in control, it's about him knowing that what he's doing is wrong, and that there'll be consequences, but he isn't sure if he's ready to deal with them
Then later, when Jayce shows him what mage Viktor saw; I think for him it was like himself confirming what he already thought or had an idea of what was going to happen, the consequences aren't worth it
After that, when we see Viktor again, this time he is fully visible, with both eyes uncovered because he can finally see the whole picture
But now that I've said that I don't think he was being controlled the question remains, then why was he doing all of that?
And this is more my interpretation of Viktor's story more than anything that happens in the show
So, look at Viktor, he was born in Zaun, disabled, sick, poor; but he managed to climb out of the undercity to Piltover going beyond the social structures that held him back, and even then, he only ever managed to be an assistant to Heimerdinger. That wasn't what he wanted, he himself says it, he was capable of so much more. And I think that Heimerdinger made the mistake of not believing (maybe not on a conscious level) that Viktor could be more; then along comes Jayce; and listen, if Viktor was the only one who truly believed in Jayce, I think the opposite it's also true, Jayce was the only one who believed in Viktor's true potential
Now put yourself in Viktor's shoes, nobody has ever believed in you, you had to drag yourself to the top; then you died and were brought back to life by this monstrous thing that you created that killed an innocent bystander, so you decided to run away to try to make your dream of helping people come true and redeem yourself (because the commune was that for Viktor, his dream of the glorious evolution) just for the only person who truly believed in you, probably the most important person in your life, coming back and rejecting you? I too would want to tear apart the world piece by piece
And the funny part, it's that Viktor is 100% using logic to justify his very irrational decision; no he isn't doing it because he's hurt, he's doing it because he wants to help people! He wants to stop suffering and the best way to do that is to erase free will
That's why I think what Viktor said after being confronted with Jayce in the Astral plane is so important "Why do you persist? After everything I've done" in my mind, after Jayce's rejection, he decided to give up and to do the bad thing; he knew it was wrong, but he decided to do it because he was hurt and wanted to hurt back, then he justified it by saying it was what it was necessary to do
And the funny part is that Singed already explained Viktor's motivation during the series "Why does anyone commits acts others deem unspeakable? For love"
Also, my last point on why I don't think it was Viktor being controlled or corrupted by the hexcore; simply because it would be very boring to do so lmao
Like, if Viktor was being controlled, suddenly a lot of what makes him interesting and complex is gone. So I prefer to think it was Viktor all along, that he always had it in him to do horrible things
#ramblings#viktor#jayce talis#jayvik#arcane#arcane meta#viktor arcane#viktor lol#viktor league of legends#league of legends#arcane jayce#arcane viktor#help. I can't stop thinking about Viktor lmao#also I know that a lot of people complain about why people can't just talk about him without mentioning Jayce#But you kinda have to mention Jayce lmao#His motivations don't make sense if you don't take Jayce into account#They are really one half of the other lmao

Link Click Chess Theory: White vs Black
From the discussions Iâve seen online, there seems to be a consensus that characters associated with the white pieces are âgood,â while those associated with the black pieces are âevil.â Putting aside the human tendency to associate lightness with goodness and darkness with evil (e.g. Morning is Good, Night breeds crime, or the racist belief that one race is inferior because of skin color), Link Click itself has dropped several hints that align White with the good side.
In this official art, Cheng Xiaoshi is next to a white rook. And, well, we all agree that Cheng Xiaoshi is good at heart...
The fact that Xia Fei is next to a white pawn, plus his mundane PV where he seems to be exploited by LX and Vein, has also gotten the fandom to think that heâs actually Good.
Lu Guang, the other protagonist, is also next to a white piece. So, if the protagonists are all white pieces, then that must mean white is good, right?
Along with the association of white = Good is the belief that the good guys are being treated badly. In Liu Xiaoâs PV, Liu Xiao is playing black in the game of chess, while the white pieces (represented by the white goats) are being tortured. The white statues are also colored as if theyâve been mistreated:
Since white is suffering under the hands of black, then the whites are definitely the good pieces while the latter are evil, right?
Wrong.
Link Click has been misleading us with the whole white vs black thing.
Thereâs this official art, where Lu Guang is a white devil and Cheng Xiaoshi is a black angel:
Wouldnât this mean the white pieces are actually evil, and the black pieces are the good ones? Still no.
What side the character is playing on is not indicative of the characterâs individual stand or morality.
We shouldâve known this. When has the message of Link Click ever been plain black and white?
There is only thing you need to know about this whole White vs Black thing, and itâs that:
In chess, the white pieces move first.
Thatâs it. Thatâs all there is to it.
Characters associated with white pieces are those who get to move first. They are those with the power or agency to do so.
In the Angel-Devil art above, we have the black Cheng Xiaoshi trapped inside a clock, which is indicative of his doomed fate. Meanwhile, the white Lu Guang is outside the clock and putting his hand over it, which is indicative of the certain degree of control he has over Cheng Xiaoshiâs life and death.
However, in the Break MV, the roles are reversed. Cheng Xiaoshi plays white, while Lu Guang is black:
(Notice the white bottom hair on CXS. White hair theory is real)
In this MV, Cheng Xiaoshi knows the truth:
âOur memories come back to life,â followed by a frame of CXS.
Clearly, CXS has more agency here, so heâs able to play a more active role in the time game and come to Lu Guangâs aid, who is now on the Black side, possibly having lost his own agency.
Conclusion
If the character is in White, then that means they have the agency to take the first move or launch an attack. They are in control. In contrast, if they are in Black, they have little to no agency and/or can only passively defend or react to a situation after it has happened.
Characters can change colors. Being either white or black is not absolute.
Link Click Chess Theory Part 2: Each Dive Is a Chess Game, and Who Plays White or Black Is Always Changing

OOOH DEATH, I MEAN DICK GRAYSON.
(I know Death already has a personification of a female in DC but pretend they donât for this AU.)
Death wasnât a skeleton with a robe made of black or a scythe. Death was more of the delivery person and sometimes could end life with one simple touch.
One day, life, bored from existing since the beginning, challenged death to a game.
âSince you are so cold and indifferent to those whom you take, why donât you experience what they do? Why donât you leave?â
It was an intriguing proposal for death, who had never really cared too much for lifeâs creations. Only a few small and innocent ones ever got a soft and caring voice from death.
âDeath cannot be around the living, nor touch it.â
Life smiled softly.
âMaybe for a time it can, a short time, but enough to learn why death is so frightening to those who live.â
Death agreed to this game, and life constructed death a body that death wouldnât be able to use its power, not unless it truly wanted to.
The body would be more like a vessel to contain death; if death used any hint of power, the body would begin to crack, almost like ice.
And thus Dick Grayson was born; of course, Dick didnât know the requirement to live was to not know what was waiting on the other side.
But then Jason died, and when Dick returned from space, he sat at Jasonâs grave. He didnât get to say goodbye; he was angry with himself, angry with Bruce, and furious with the Joker.
âHe canât be dead. I didnâtâ
His train of thought stops. âHe didnât what?â He wonders why he lost his train of thought.
Jason ended up being alive, a miracle, but then after that so much happened.
Like John Constantine, a man he only heard tales of, stops dead in his tracks when he sees Dick, and he looks terrified. Normally, heroes find comfort in his presence and enjoy his company, but Dick didnât even get to speak before Constantine disappeared, and Jason ended up laughing along with Tim and Steph, whereas Damien stated, âConstantine is a fool Grayson, a drunken fool; donât mind him.â
And weird stuff like that kept happening. The weirdest one was when Darkside came, a being who represented death, but when Dick finally arrived right before Darkside prepared to kill Captain Marvel, Darkside paused, looking around almost in disbelief and confusion before dropping Captain Marvel and, funnily enough, quickly leaving.
Yet Dick still didn't connect anything or question it, but Tim and Duke began to.
(Dick sort of doesnât remember what he truly is, and this is more of a game playing human but he feels and knows things deep down like Jason was supposed to die and stay dead, and Dick didnât want to be close to him because some part on a deeper leveled remember that, and then when Jason died the human part was angry allowing a small part of his true self to leak through creating a small crack, so when he trails off he almost was gonna say I didnât take him, and his close relationship with Damien because of the Lazarus pit he can sense that in Damien blood practically even though he doesnât know it, Constantine dipping compared to other magic users like Zatanna is because the others donât know and most people when they die, find death peaceful so that and Dicks charming personality is why heroes and others like him all find themself comfortable around Dick. whereas Constantine is different when he dies it wonât be peaceful he will be in hell, so he feels overwhelming death instead of happy vibes.)
This was just another silly idea.
(NOT EDITED LOL, SORRY FOR SPELLING MISTAKES, ME SICK TOO.)
