the original idea appeared to me as i was thinking how back in 7th grade my fellow french middle schoolers did NOT want to learn german... they either said it didnt sound pretty or that they wanted the easy way because spanish had words in common with french lmaoo... we were like the only 7th grade class who took german back then?? i've been meaning to learn it again, i've lost touch with it since then

so i thought itd make sense France would have heavy bias toward spanish.... i hc all three can speak german, spanish and french fluently tho. they have a(n old man repertoire) playlist for songs to learn for (sober ?) karaoke shenanigans and Gilbert got played (aka he sent the german version and got ghosted so he assumed that's what they'd sing next time and thus got thrown out the loop)
