Everyone hates hypersexuality because they think it's like...
We get to tell you to stop fucking.
Also our entire culture really wants to tell people to stop fucking.
I'm pretty sure that's literally the purpose of a lot of sexual abuse- to make people stop fucking.
People who fuck just to fuck are going to get labeled as hypersexual even if they aren't.
People who are hypersexual are going to get blamed for the actions of other people who have weird pathology around the idea of sex, or certain types of sex.
Weirdly, someone can have sex with you and then later turn around and go "now I blame you for making me bad" when they consented to or even asked for and initiated the sex and enthusiastically consented over and over at various points in the process.
People who like sex just to have sex, even if they initially became that way because they were sexually abused, might not actually be doing something that hurts them. They might be doing something that works effectively to help reduce other symptoms, make new friends, etc. They might be doing things that genuinely make them feel better. You can even get slapped with an "inappropriate hypersexual" label for masturbating a lot. Like... to fantasies or porn of other adults. Like vanilla porn. Because it can't just be a harmless quirk that sometimes you get anxious or upset and you get off and then you feel better if you have a history of sexual trauma because people in the community want to hear that whenever someone like you consents to sex it's secretly that they were groomed or they have low self esteem and really just want validation or something.
People have tried to tell me over and over that I just want validation and not sex.
I guess I do sometimes have sex with people because I like knowing I can do something for someone else if I feel powerless to fix problems in my own life, or when I'm in a lot of negative social situations and I want to be be in one where the outcome is positive at the end for both people. I still enjoy the sex, though. It's not something I do and don't enjoy on a physical level.
I think secretly that's the problem.
I think the goal of a lot of things in our society is to slowly make people hate sex. Make them think something is wrong with them if they enjoy it, even if they seek it out or consented to it it was actually rape, etc.
It's some weird fusion of anti lgbt and anti woman and patriarchy and the church and the psychiatric system where we tell people doing a fun activity with your friends that everyone enjoyed and made them feel good is actually making them empty and worse and a sign that they have low self worth.
If you can't accept that sometimes having sex with someone because you both want to feel good is enough reason to have sex with them, you're just perpetuating the weird nasty shame shit that people did to you when they emotionally abused you.
If your advocacy for truama/abuse survivors isn't inclusive of
Survivors who are not women
Survivors who developed hypersexuality
Survivors with personality disorders
Survivors with anger issues
Survivors with did/osdd
Survivors with substance abuse issues
Then maybe you should start making an effort to make it. I'm not asking anyone to shift focus to a topic they don't understand, but you dont have to become an expert in hypersexuality or personality disorders to not actively exclude or demonize them

Ranking How Difficult It Would Be to Fight the Various Creatures in Miraland
7. Easiest: Giftys
Even though Giftys are the arbiters of all styling battles, they show no sign of having any defensive abilities. It's also (somewhat) canon that Giftys are edible. This leads me to believe that at least some of them were hunted for food at some point.
6. Faewish Sprites
This might be a controversial pick, considering Faewish Sprites have an entire organized force dedicated to fighting and are shown in-game actually beating people up.
However, I think that's literally just a skill issue. If I was fighting a Faewish Sprite, I would wait for it to fly at me with its stupid little wooden sword, and then I would hit it with a baseball bat and send it flying.
The only reason Faewish Sprites aren't ranked last is because 1. Giftys are pathetic in a fight and 2. I think they could probably shoot each other out of their canons at their opponents and do some real damage.
5. Pieceys
Most weapons wouldn't work on a Piecey because they're just pieces of cloth, but we do know from the Caged Greed boss fight that they can be taken down with enough blunt force trauma. That might be difficult because they can fly, but it's doable.
Alternatively, you could use a flamethrower.
4. Croakers
They seem harmless and relatively easy to fight, but I don't think we should underestimate them. I feel like they could do a jumping kick at me and knock me over very easily. They could also hit me with their long frog tongues, and from there the fight would be over because I would be so uncomfortable that I would just have to leave.
The flamethrower would work on these guys as well.
3. Momo Clan
To be honest, I think taking Momo down in a fight would be quite easy. It's actually Momo's grandpa that gives me pause. His abilities are unknown. I would proceed with caution.
2. Cadenceborn
Kilo is the only Cadenceborn we've met so far, and he seems relatively harmless. It's important to consider that we've never seen him truly threatened, though. Additionally, the other Cadenceborn could be lean mean killing machines, and we just don't know it yet.
The sheer size of the Cadenceborn also concerns me. I'm not sure what weapon would take a Cadenceborn down. What could penetrate their scaly exteriors? Much to think about.
1. Hattys
These things scare me.
#love nikki#infinity nikki#if im missing any creatures it means theyre even lesser than giftys because i dont even remember them

(TW: MENTIONS OF RAPE.) Do NOT watch this video. Its clickbait garbage that deserves to be reported for harassment.
I dont care if you dislike the fandom:
This video REFUSED to mention what was ACTUALLY WRONG!
-and instead stuck to cringe culture by:
-Laughing at people for simply enjoying the fandom or show, even the parts that are harmless.
-By laughing at someone who was crying because of RAPE! I dont care if it was fictional rape, that shit effects reality by effecting how victims are treated IN REAL LIFE! So the person crying just shows that they have human empathy, something the creator of this video genuinely seems to lack. Laughing at people for crying about rape is harassment. Enough said.
Cringe Culture is fucking sickening. Stop harassing people for enjoying the show for fucks sake! The fact that we as a civilization ignored Shay's death but made videos like this insted sickens me to no end. Fuck this fandom, honestly.
-The creator refusing to mention Shay's death or any of the ACTUAL problems with Vivziepop's fandom.
-Literally went "I CANT FIND ANYTHING BAD THAT VIVZIEPOP DID!" and fucking goes "THERES NO EVIDENCE EXCEPT FOR....." when the evidence is EVERYWHERE at this point and not just Tumblr but the creator STILL tries to hide shit like a coward.
The video only does ONE thing right by calling out the fandom for allowing kids to be in adult spaces, but thats it!
Its not worth watching, even as a hate watch, and you should avoid this video at all costs and read the document on what happened to Shay insteaad, as it truly shows what is wrong with this fandom.
Not enjoying the show....
But BULLYING PEOPLE!
That's whats wrong with it! Stop validating cringe culture, I am so sickened by the fact that videos like this refused to mention what happened to Shay.
So many are, and its sickening.
It really is sickening that only ONE video has mentioned Shay so far.
Otherwise, people have either been covering up shit (looking at you Ayy Lmao...) or bullying innocent people. Im so sick of this video and honestly hope that it gets reported for bullying. 👇🏾
REPORT IT! BOTH the videos who laughed at that poor person for crying about Angel Dust being raped.
Cringe Culture does NOT deserve to happen, rape in media being cried about is NOT a "joke." Being a fan of the show, at all, is not a "bad" thing.
CRINGE CULTURE IS DEAD! Period.
EDIT:
This!

I get the thing of wanting to be as harmless and uncontroversial as possible in your craft. I understand white witches trying their best not to encroach on closed practices or cultural appropriation. I understand wanting to cancel problematic occultists and generally push the witchy community away from its history with white supremacy and racism. I get it, I really do.
and I say this with love and try to come across as gently as possible.
Some of you, though your intentions may be pure, don’t seem to recognize the difference between genuine caution and concern and blatant white saviourtism. I promise you that people of color don’t need white witches to speak for them. I promise you that it is not your responsibility to be the saviour that enforces what is and isn’t problematic, especially when you yourself are so clueless about the issue at hand.
People who don’t know even the first thing about Judaism shouldn’t be trying to herd all of their white friends away from Lilith or dictate why you shouldn’t use magick with a k. It’s frustrating because the original message gets completely lost every single time.
Jew witches will say “hey guys maybe don’t work with Lilith if you don’t understand her origins because she’s not just a girl boss mother of demons but also has a lot of history in our culture as an extremely violent and chaotic energy that actively victimizes women and children”
But all that tumblr heard was “Lilith is associated with Judaism and that means she’s a religious figure and can’t be worked with by non-jews” without having even the slightest clue what her role in Judaism was and why people advise caution. Saying that Lilith is a religious figure to Judaism tells me that you’ve never even met a Jewish person in real life.
People will say “hey Crowley was actually a piece of shit and shouldn’t be idolized as a wise practitioner when he was literally just an extremely racist heroine addict who tricked a lot of women into having sex with him for rituals”
But all that tumblr hears is “Crowley bad. Anything associated with Crowley also bad. If you do anything that was associated with Crowley you are also bad.”
Indigenous witches will say “Hey white sage is an extremely sacred herb that is being heinously over harvested by corporations selling the witchcraft equivalent of fast fashion and it’s causing severe harm to indigenous businesses and communities, please stop supporting them”
but all that tumblr heard was “White sage shouldn’t be harvested. If you get white sage from anywhere, even indigenous people themselves, you are racist.”
and in retaliation to that super hard stance you have witches who have decided they don’t care about respecting closed practices in general and purposely buy from non indigenous sources out of spite
“I don’t know enough about this topic to have an intelligent stance on it” is ALSO a perfectly acceptable position. You don’t have to be opinionated about things you don’t understand. You’re more than welcome to just avoid the things you know would make you uncomfortable to participate in without pushing blatant misinformation.
Most occult spaces have some sort of historical tie to icky stuff like racism, misogyny, ablism, etc. You’re not a bad person for recognizing that and wanting to stay away from them. I’m happy you care.
But you are not an authority on things you’re uneducated about. When you pretend to be you only muddy the words of the people you’re supposed to be helping.
Saying shit like “using magick with a k is just as antisemitic as using a swastika” completely waters down what real antisemitism is, and makes the matter less serious than it actually is.
Saying “working with Lilith is just as antisemitic as working with the Tetragrammaton” is just a complete slap in the face to practicing jews, and you don’t know why because you don’t understand Judaism or the people who created it. You can’t understand it because you’re so busy talking over them that you never took the opportunity to listen.
Before you make the decision to run these mass cancelation events, take a second to consider if you’re doing this because it’s actually important and something you truly understand, or if you’re just doing so to feel morally pure and accepted by your fellow politically correct white peers.

can i just say that I am SO grateful for the accessibility options and assists in ultrakill? like, yeah i make my jokes about being dogshit at this game. but, like, honestly, i haven't played an FPS in almost 20 years. I've felt way too out of my depth to try, because I already have mobility issues with my hands, the learning curve seems so steep, and I really don't like the prospect of humiliating myself.
Watching playthroughs had me worried I would be too overwhelmed to enjoy the game, but being able to use things like aim assist? Being able to play on harmless and have slower enemies? I'm actually able to ENJOY this game, not just throw myself at the same level over and over until I feel embarrassed and stop playing entirely.
And the way that they're phrased--things like "minor assists" and "major assists" rather than "cheats"? talking about the easier difficulties with things like "for a less stressful experience" as opposed to making it seem like having an easy mode is for people who just ~aren't willing to put in the effort to get good~? It makes me feel so much less judged for not being familiar enough with this genre to jump right in on the hardest difficulty. It feels remarkably kind.
It's also been incredibly helpful! I've only been playing for a week-ish, but playing on harmless has helped me figure out the mechanics without just, like, dying every two seconds. I spent over an hour in the sandbox today just really focusing on how to move my hands in the right way to actually get around while being able to see where I'm going.
Today I was finally able to play through the whole prelude on lenient instead of harmless, and with 20% aim assist instead of 40%! And I only fell into three blade fans instead of, like, twelve! I got through Cerberus without resetting once! I've never even gotten to Cerberus before! The amount of improvement I have been able to make has literally been night and day. Am I good at this game? Without a doubt, I am not! And I'm fine with that. I take pride in being God's worst mistake. But I actually feel excited to play, and it just makes me appreciate this game and hakita as a dev so, so much.

I will say it over and over again until I have no voice to say it with... FRAMING. MATTERS.
EDIT: Okay, I'm going to expand on this because I remembered that there have been multiple times when I've said this that someone truly did not know what I'm talking about.
Framing matters. The way a narrative frames a character and their actions matters. In so many different ways. It matters to the message the writers are trying to send. It matter to the message that is actually sent. It matter to what the character and their actions end up meaning or representing with in the narrative. And it matters to how the audience perceives and feels about the character.
Obviously, that last bit is what matters here. The way a character and their actions are framed within the narrative can be consistent with the things they do and say, or it can be inconsistent with the things they do and say. And Spike and Xander actually serve as a really good demonstration of this. As has already been pointed out, when Spike does something bad and toxic and fucked up, more often than not it's framed as such. Yes, from pretty early on he was written to be far more complex than just the unambiguous bad guy, and from season 4 on in particular he's given an arc that gives him more and more chances to do good things and to do the right thing, and for increasingly less selfish reasons. But the narrative never treats those things as some sort of get out of jail free card that frames everything he does as good and not selfish. His toxic bullshit is still framed as toxic bullshit. Are there a few moments here and there where things he does aren't appropriately framed? Sure, probably. But you're going to find that in a pretty much any show, because no show is perfect.
Xander, on the other hand, is pretty regularly (as the poster above says, at least 50% of the time) framed in a way that is not consistent with the way he behaves. Not only is he framed as the loveable loser harmless best friend, he's also more than once framed in ways that treat him doing the literal bare minimum of not being a horrible person as though he's some kind of ultimate good guy hero (him not taking advantage of Buffy when she was under the love spell and the way he's treated for that is a great example) or that treat his really gross and toxic ideas and attitudes as being completely correct (the bullshit he spouted when Riley gave Buffy the ultimatum). Even when his attitudes or behavior is framed appropriately, it's usually stuff that's brushed off pretty easily, even when it has dire consequences (like him not telling Buffy that Willow was going to do the spell to give Angel his soul back).
Now, of course, framing isn't the only thing that determines how an audience will react to characters. For one thing, there are plenty of instances of fans just going crazy over characters who are framed as being heroes or desirable romantic leads even though that framing is inconsistent with how they actually behave and the things they actually do. And there are plenty of other things that go into how an audience reacts to a character. There are certain character traits, from aspects of their personality to just bits of their design, that will make a character more appealing. Especially when it comes to online audiences.
So yeah, Spike as a character hitting a lot of those "fandom favorite" boxes almost certainly contributes to people favoring him to at least some extent. But I think the framing really is the big thing here that makes people so much more likely to favor Spike, and so much more likely to call out Xander. The narrative is pretty regularly calling out Spike. His behavior is weird and creepy and the narrative points that out regularly. So it's not really something the fandom needs to do. Going online and being like "so, Spike kidnapping Buffy, tying her up, and telling her he's going to kill his ex girlfriend in front of her to prove his love is so creepy and toxic, right?" isn't really necessary because... yeah. The narrative knows it, and therefor so does the vast majority of the audience. But with Xander that is not something the narrative usually does. When he, for example, condescendingly corrects Anya, the narrative doesn't treat that critically, it treats it as a funny thing that Xander is probably right to do. When he agrees with everything Riley said when he gave Buffy that ultimatum and treats Buffy like she's the problem in that relationship, it doesn't frame him as wrong, or as projecting so many of his own issues with women and with Buffy in particular onto the situation. He's framed as the man talking sense into Buffy. So it does fall on the audience to call it out, and to call the show out for not doing it.
Like I said, inconsistent framing isn't something that an audience always notices, but with a show like Buffy, where a lot of - really, I would even say most of - the characters are usually appropriately framed, and where you do have an instance of a guy's creepy, toxic behavior appropriately framed, I think that makes it easier for viewers to clock it when there's a character that isn't being appropriately framed. Even if viewers doing consciously realize it's why they're reacting negatively to a character. Personally, I think that's also at least part of the reason a lot of people don't react well to Riley. It's not because he's 'boring' or because they ship Buffy with someone else and he 'gets in the way', or whatever. At least, not completely. I really think the way his character was framed, especially in season 5, was often not really in line with what was actually happening with the character, and people could feel that.
Are there Spike fans who just completely ignore it all, ignore the framing and all the shitty, creepy, toxic shit Spike has done so that they can feel like they're allowed to like him 'guilt free', or so they can engage with the character completely uncritically? Sure. Of course. Any character with any amount of fanbase is going to have people who do that. It's just a part of fandom. And I'm not going to act like Spike doesn't check a lot of boxes of typical "fandom favorite" types, and that is going to make people more likely to be drawn to him as a character. But there's a lot of critical analysis of Buffy that happens, even just in online fandom spaces, analysis that goes far deeper than just that kind of more surface level fandom engagement. And even then, so much of what you see is incredibly critical of Xander and the way he's written while being much more favorable to Spike and the way he's written. That's not just fangirls ignoring the bad stuff their fav does while dogpiling on another character. That's people recognizing the problems with Xander's writing and the very stark difference in the framing between Xander and Spike.
At the end of the day, fictional characters are not real people. The way they're written and how audiences react to them is about a lot more than just the way a character behaves and the things they say and do. There's a lot more that goes into it, and framing is a big part of it.
ok I’m only on season 5 but can someone explain to me how Xander is the universally hated one for, from what I can tell, some bad choices and worse jokes, while Spike, the fandom’s babygirl and beloved heartthrob, literally stalks Buffy, holds her captive, and then commissions a robot version of her when it’s made clear he’ll never have her. like someone please explain it because the math is not mathing.

i can’t really get over douglas adams rewriting adam and eve as ford and arthur. there are many things about it that blow my mind. that they are both men. that it was the 80s. that arthur is presented as eve. that it is all intentional. that trillian—who is the other last human being along with arthur—could’ve been there instead of ford, more accurately portraying the adam and eve story, and there is literally no good reason for her not being there as zaphod, ford, arthur, and trillian had all been in that time machine and yet douglas adams pairs ford and arthur off instead of the last two humans (and notably male and female). the only reason trillian is not there in place of ford is because douglas adams specifically did not want her to be. she continues to be a part of the plot in the book, although it is not critical to the plot (in the restaurant at the end of the universe) that she be there with zaphod instead of with arthur (though it’s better for her character), so the choice of who is paired with who is very purposefully based on relationship and not plot requirements.
i think this point is even furthered by mostly harmless—arthur and trillian do end up conceiving a child together, but arthur is not even there at the conception of his own child. he is completely without any romantic or sexual desire or intentions towards trillian. donating sperm is the most sexless way of conceiving a child, and douglas adams chooses to do this after intentionally pairing ford and arthur as adam and eve. when arthur finds out he has a child, he doesn’t think of himself as missing out on a relationship with trillian, instead asks “what about zaphod?” without jealousy or frustration. despite the sexless-ness and detachment of the act of donating sperm that was never even intended for child conception, arthur loves his daughter unconditionally and without reserve.
these points paired with the scene where arthur is given a prayer tailored to him in mostly harmless, “protect me from knowing what i don’t need to know. protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that i don’t know. protect me from knowing that i decided not to know about the things that i decided not to know about…it’s what you pray silently inside yourself anyway, so you may as well have it out in the open…there’s another prayer that goes with it…protect me from the consequences of the above prayer.” just really lend itself a lot to the idea that arthur was maybe possibly intended to be read as gay. or at least makes it very easy to read arthur as gay.
i’m also fascinated with the contrast of ford and arthur portrayed as adam and eve eating the apple which would give them the knowledge of good and evil and allow them to understand the consequences—obviously these characters are adults and already know these things, making this metaphor a euphemism for something else—against the prayer arthur receives for himself in mostly harmless. it is like a reversal of what eating the apple in eden achieves. eat the apple, receive awareness of something, three books later receive a prayer for the exact opposite. these things also existing at contrasting times in ford and arthur’s relationship—that ford and arthur had been isolated on a beautiful planet together during the apple in eden bit but had not seen each other in years and had a bad argument in mostly harmless during the time arthur received the prayer. i do think the prayer means something else for arthur in the plot (though actually, douglas adams almost always uses events in his books to have more than one meaning in the series so..), but these things being so intentionally written always makes me wonder if douglas adams meant something about arthur’s sexuality and his relationship with ford.

I sent this book excerpt to my wife the other day because it reminded me of this exact post - this is from a 1952 collection of short stories that Shirley Jackson (yes, the horror writer) wrote about her home life, parenting, etc. Jackson’s discussing her daughter Jannie here, who spent several years as a ~5-7yo not only calling herself variously from the list of names at the top, but also frequently going around loudly proclaiming herself as Mrs Ellenoy 2 (aforementioned stepmother of seven daughters, all named Martha). And not only was Jannie completely fine, her (cannot stress this enough) 1950’s parents were both completely aware that this is Just A Thing Kids Do, to the point that her renowned author mother comfortably put it in her family memoirs. So don’t pretend kids *checks notes* having imaginations is a “problem” or a “danger” created by the trans community
"ohh what if my kid starts identifying as a CAT because of the trans agenda we have to prote—" well they've always done that. do you remember the psychological effects of h2o on young girls. of warrior cats on autistic children. i believed i was a demigod because of percy jackson. twilight came out and kids were telling their friends they were secretly vampires. this is just a thing kids do. worry less
#like…my brother (who was a kid 50yrs after this) would say Bertie the Bus from thomas the tank engine was the one who misbehaved#anytime he was getting in trouble/broke something/etc#this is just a thing and literally harmless#anyways#shirley jackson#life among the savages#yeah i know the name of the book’s not great but at least it refers to her family & cats i guess?#also the whiplash of shirley jackson who wrote like the fucking lottery and hill house etx#having what was essentially two books’ worth of pretty funny 50’s mommy blog posts#will never cease to amuse me#mine#transphobia

with September and the anniversary of my friend's passing I want to talk about her story. on September 3, 2020 my best friend Brooklyn was shot and killed by her stalker. Brooklyn and I were best friends and were working together at a restaurant at the time. one of our coworkers, Andre, began stalking and harassing us and used the contact form at work to call and text us. he was an incel and part of the MGTOW community, would brag about his guns at work and believed he could "fix" Brooklyn's asexuality if she dated him. he became obsessed with Brooklyn and would track her car/phone in order to find us and follow us around, even showing up at the same shops we were at. it escalated to the point where he got banned from our workplace and he started hacking Brooklyn's social media accounts pretending to be her, at one point texting me (pretending to be her) and asking me to meet up at a vacant lot at 3 in the morning with the intent to harm or kill me. at one point I even saw him pacing the road near my apartment with binoculars trying to find which complex I lived in. after months of quittiing jobs, changing numbers, filing police reports and being harrassed, stalked and threatened, I moved back home and lost contact with Brooklyn until sometime later when I heard that she had been murdered. Andre had been arrested but was later released and immedately killed Brooklyn at her home a week later. the police speak about what a sad tragedy it is but did the bare minimum to protect us, saying that it was just a little harmless cyber bullying, or that they couldn't do anything because there was no physical harm. most people we talked to would even go as far as asking Brooklyn "what did she do to the poor guy" or scold her for "hurting his feelings, leading him on" ect. the stalking, harrassment and threats weren't taken seriously at all and despite all the evidence and proof, despite doing everything right and asking for help, the police did not help her; they knew he was dangerous and they let him go and she paid for their mistake with her life and I will never forgive or forget.
#leafie speaks#I don't know how to talk about this.. just that it feels important and I need to talk about it#stalking isn't some cute funny harmless thing like cops and the media says it is and it's a Problem#like people wonder why I don't like cops and I'm like *gestures to everything that ever happened in my life ever*#“uuuu we don't know how this could've happened” the guy literally made posts online about killing women how tf are you surprised#*angry barking*#vent

Y'all motherfuckers need to cut out this mentality y'all have where you hear someone likes a certain piece of media, and you immediately speak up and say how much you think that said media fucking sucks. And yes, nuance does exist in that topic, but I'm not talking about those nuanced situations where said media is actively harmful. I'm talking about harmless media. I'm talking about Sonic, RWBY, Kingdom Hearts, and many many other forms of media with those fandom lines where people do/do not like them.
In fact, when you sit there and voice about how you think media like that is "oh so terrible", and "it sucks," all you're doing is making it so the person who actually likes that media never wants to talk to you again. You're like a middle school bully at that point.
And I'm guilty of this, I've been working on getting it out of my vocabulary. It's not easy. But it legitimately needs to go from fandoms in general. This gatekeepy behavior is awful, horrible, and serves to do nothing more than upset and irritate the people you're talking to. Stop it. Let people enjoy things, and just shut up if you dislike something that isn't harmful.
#sorcerer rambles#god sorry for the rant I'm just so irate at all this#long post#it is so fucking draining to hear someone talk about how they think something's bad when it's harmless#and ultimately it makes me want to just...not hear from you again#and this applies to so many things. so many. let people enjoy things.#wasn't it like a month or two ago when we were spreading that “literal coolest thing ever” meme

I think the most crushing autism experience is friends/romantic partners eventually figuring out youre masking bcz if you keep it up long enough its also off-putting & unnatural and then insisting you act like yourself- only to realize they in fact do not like your real self and make comments about how annoying/different youre acting all of a sudden. ❤️🧎♀️
#realest shit i ever said#anyway this has hapenned so many times that im convinced only 3-4 people actually can stand me. ❤️🙏#literally makes me sooooo mad too#‘’nooo youre not being yourself with me please ill accept you no matter what’’#no actually. you do not like me sadly 🙏🙏🙏#ughhhhh#i be in situations#this isnt a jab at myself i am so cool and funny#and trust im self aware enough to know the traits people dislike about me are fr harmless but could annoy someone easily.#so its not really mine or their fault#plus literally my brain just does not work like a neurotypical person#sorry i do not feel about things the way u do

Why is having a squish/friend crush so nerve wracking and difficult but also kind of a breeze bc it's not romantic
#ranting in the tags#it's harmless! it's not a romantic crush at all!#literally had the thought of “hey what if i asked this person to like. hang out outside class”#and then my brain went “GIRL THAT'S GONNA GET MISINTERPRETED SO FAST”#(realized that i'd essentially be. asking thim out and uh. my intent but also not)#i wanna get to know them as a person#not get in their pants#just guh. the fear of being misunderstood and accidentally pushing them away! yay!!!#the thing is. i'm down to tell them! but like. i have not had them in a 1 on 1 situation to do so like. ever.#what do you expect me to do. blurt it out ij class? fuck no.#*head in hands*

who up seeing their disorder in a fictional character but feel like its not their place to put a name on it
#id have to be waterboarded before i can talk abt how i see a lot of my adhd and personality in mitsumi iwakura let alone post it#idk how to talk abt this without feeling like im talking over or invalidating ppls experiences relating with a character#someone was talking abt how ppl tie laios' autism to special interest and social difficulties but not much else which kinda flattens it#and then went into a respectful in depth analysis of other autistic behaviour that laios exhibits and it wasnt phrased meanly#its fascinating and important to me to hear someone explain a little bit abt traits that they recognized and often go overlooked#because it does help me learn more about it. but i think thats also where hesitancy kicks in when it comes to depicting it accurately#like i have adhd and some of my adhd symptoms overlap with autism (time blindness and pattern seeking behaviour) but that only means#it feels familiar to me even without having autism. on top of that traits arent always cleanly determined as being /caused/ by#a disorder. to understand my environment i compare it to something unrelated but similar to make it more familiar and for the longest time#i thought that was a personality thing and not an information processing thing since i loved playing pretend in my head as a kid#so if you make a character who experiences that hoping to reach people that also experience that and tell them its not weird or#smth youre making up like. thats the goal. ppl who dont get it arent expected to it just means it doesnt cater to them but it helps them#become familiar to it yk? since i dont have autism myself i dont feel confident i can depict it properly or explain it in my own words#but that doesnt mean im trying to dismiss it or try and cut it out completely.. ill just leave the floor open to someone who /can/#a lot of issues around fanon depictions are when smth is baselessly popularized or a characters personality and behavior is flattened#especially to fit them into a trending meme. its harmless and its supposed to be for fun but it gets tricky when you drag things that#need to be carefully explained beforehand or else it gets lost in translation. like that tweet abt 'hyperfixating' on cooking pasta#once it becomes popular language usually the original meaning is left out for the sake of simplifying it for everyone that when it#circles back theres a sort of hesitancy like. am i using it the way it was intended or am i unknowingly using the popularized version of it#actually thats probably why i felt wrongfooted during diagnosis bc it felt like i was misusing the words i heard to describe what i felt#i /know/ i see a lot of myself in mitsumi because our minds are always somewhere else and we tend to put good faith first and for me#that personal connection is enough. but idk it feels like its always gonna have to be 'palatable' first before i can talk abt it openly#mad respect to writers and creators who stick to their story even if theres the looming fear of ppl misinterpreting it and letting them#have it.. its been almost 2 weeks and i am so close to deleting that m3 dunmeshi drawing bc ppl keep saying chilchuck wouldnt have 200 HP#IT LITERALLY SAYS I MADE IT WHILE WATCHING EP 1. I USED EARTHBOUND LOGIC AND I WASNT EVEN TAKING IT SERIOUSLY CHILL#yapping
