Created alongside the GUNGNIR-class Mjolnir, the Spartan Laser is one of few known infantry directed-energy weapons manufactured by humans. Its design was reiterated many times, resulting in variants for specialist roles.

Trivia Tuesday - #IDARB

Did You Know that the chaotic 8-player arena ball game #IDARB featured several Halo themed items in it? A Halo team featuring a one armed Dr. Halsey, a grunt, numerous Spartans, and Mister Chief were center stage in this crossover!

Map Monday — Powerhouse

In 2507, colonists on Reach dammed a river in the desolate region of Ütközet to run a hydroelectric power plant, which powers every settlement nearby. Years later, the plant became a Covenant outpost hosting a stealth pylon.

San'Shyuum Saturday — Mercy

The High Prophet of Mercy, born Hod Rumnt, was the oldest Hierarch during the Covenant war. In addition to being an authority on the Forerunners and their knowledge, he was also seen as the mediator between Truth and Regret.

Lore Thursday — Adversaries

Armed with paint pellet guns, the 340th ODST Combat Training Unit participated in exercises with Maria-062 as she tested John-117's Mark VI MJOLNIR armor. Maria easily defeated the 340th's Kilo and Echo Teams in CQB.

Story Saturday — An Exchange of Hats

On November 2, 2552, following the death of the Prophet of Regret, the Prophet of Truth replaced Sangheili Honor Guards with Jiralhanae—setting in motion his plan to remove the Sangheili from the Covenant leadership.

Seeing this as a violation of the Covenant founding charter, the Sangheili threatened to resign from the High Council. The next day, numerous Sangheili councilors and honor guards were taken to Installation 05, where they were executed by Jiralhanae. The Great Schism had begun.

Lore Thursday — Site 22

In 2556, the UNSC Saturn responded to a Flood outbreak on an asteroid in the Marcey system. A crashed Forerunner ship had been discovered by IMC and BXR mining crews, and upon entering the vessel, the parasite revealed itself.

Captain Alvarez of the UNSC Saturn deployed Fireteam Leviathan to the site, refusing to lose the Forerunner vessel. However, when the Spartans were overrun and infected, CORRUPTER protocols were enacted and the site was destroyed with nuclear weapons.

Trivia Tuesday - Stalker

Did You Know that as part of the concepting process of the Elites for Halo: Combat Evolved, a monstrous enemy known as the "Stalker" was concepted? This creature would seemingly be held captive by the Covenant and used in combat roles.

Map Monday — Abandon

An ONI research facility on the remote world of Erebus VII now sits eerily quiet amid a forest of twisting roots. One structure holds two preserved Eiyaa-Mahtuhaa, dangerous reptilian creatures that display frightening intelligence.

Starship Saturday — Mona Lisa

A converted freighter, the Mona Lisa was a prison ship taken over by ONI Section III to perform experiments on Flood specimens found among the debris of Alpha Halo, using both human and Sangheili prisoners as test subjects.

In October 2552, the prowler UNSC Red Horse was sent to investigate the Mona Lisa after contact was lost. Deploying Marines to the prison ship, much of the squad was lost to the Flood, and the prowler destroyed the Mona Lisa with a nuclear missile.

Tasked with the defense of UEG colonies and the long-term occupation of enemy territory, the UNSC Army maintains land, maritime, and airborne forces. The Army is also involved with civil works in support of other UNSC branches.

Map Monday — Colossus

High above Threshold, this gas mine is similar to the facility occupied by Sesa 'Refumee's faction. Scans of the gas mine were collected by the UNSC Red Horse during its survey of the Soell system following the Battle of Alpha Halo.

Lore Thursday — Circinius IV

The Outer Colony Circinius IV was home to the Corbulo Academy of Military Science, a UNSC officer training school. In 2526, the planet was attacked by the Covenant before the existence of the alien threat was made public.

Trivia Tuesday - USS Sulaco Connection

Did You Know that the USS Sulaco from Aliens helped inspire the design of the UNSC In Amber Clad, and by extension, several subsequent classes of UNSC frigate? The inspiration is particularly noticeable in the vessels' forward hulls.
