Halo Trivia - Deluge

Did You Know that during an internal game jam at 343 Industries, concept art for a Flood-themed game or mode codenamed "Deluge" was created? Due to the nature of these game jams as prototyping inspiration, Deluge was likely never intended to enter full development.

Celestial Saturday — Algolis

Established in 2475, Algolis formerly hosted a small population of human colonists as well as ONI research facilities. In early 2549, the planet was attacked by the Covenant, an invasion which ultimately led to Atriox's formation of the Banished.

Trivia Tuesday —Hellcats Origin

Did You Know that the Hellcat armor was designed by concept artist Kory Lynn Hubbel in conjunction with a fan as part of a charity contest? This fan, Andrew Thivyanathan, was also featured as character in-game who can be found working as a de-glasser on Meridian.

Andrew wanted Hellcat to be based on the armor worn by Ancestor warriors in Halo 4's terminals. This remains the in-universe explanation for the armor as well, with Hellcat being developed using ancient human technology collected by ONI.

Map Monday — Zanzibar

Built on Zanzibar Island, Wind Power Station 7 was one of many stations built in the 2400s under the East African Protectorate's renationalization efforts. In the 26th century, it was decommissioned to host classified military training exercises.

Starship Saturday — Charon

Primarily used for fleet escort and planetary defence, the Charon played an important role defending Earth during the final days of the Covenant War. Though lightly armed compared to its peers, it was also well-suited for deploying troops to a planet.

Starship Lore — Valiant

Among the most powerful vessels of the UNSC Navy, the Valiant-class super-heavy cruiser found success in the Insurrection and Covenant War in fleet command roles. The most famous vessel of the class was the UNSC Everest, flagship of Vice Admiral Cole.

Lore Thursday — Black-Box

Created from the brain of a researcher who had committed suicide for his part in the Spartan-II program, Black-Box is a 4th gen "smart" AI who was the personal assistant of former CINCONI Margaret Parangosky before being reassigned to Serin Osman.

Trivia Tuesday – Among Us

Did You Know that numerous references to Halo appear in the hit game Among Us? If you play on Xbox, you will get free customizable Spartan Armor and a Guilty Spark pet. There is also an red Energy Sword that can be found on the Airship map!

Sangheili Saturday — Saepon'kal

Saepon'kal, or Joyous Exultation, was a Sangheili colony that acted as a hub of war science before High Charity's completion. The home of Avu Med 'Telcam and Inslaan 'Gadogai, the world was razed by the detonation of a NOVA bomb in November 2552.

Lore Thursday — Mk50 Sidekick

The Mk50 Sidekick is a semi-automatic handgun manufactured by Emerson Tactical Systems featuring several variants and extensive modularity. The Sidekick has seen use in the UNSC since 2551, and has even found a place within the Banished's arsenal.

Halo Lore — Paelosurs

Paelosurs are an enigmatic sightless species of cetacean found in the oceans of Beta Gabriel and Alluvion. They use an incredibly evolved sense of echolocation to find their primary source of food, massive colony-swarms of krill-like organisms.

Story Saturday — Tied Fates

In one of the first battles of the war, Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson fought against Tartarus, who served in his uncle's pack. While both survived, they met again 27 years later, with Johnson helping Thel 'Vadam in killing Tartarus on Delta Halo.

San'Shyuum Saturday — Alo Sebukah

The San'Shyuum Vice Minister of Abnegation, Alo Sebukah fled High Charity as it fell to the Flood, escaping in a skiff. Captured by the UNSC Coral Sea among the debris orbiting Substance, he was taken to ONI's Midnight Facility for interrogation.
