okay like last time, I will compile my reaction/thoughts for ep13 and gbc as a whole :D (i don't do this often bc I can't write well... but..)
I knew it.... I don't like Hina HAHA. Like, I get her, but you really left Nina just like that huh?
Go tell her off! Maybe people will say that Nina is having a hero complex or sticking her nose in to other people's business, but I think it's very brave of her.
Also, ngl, I didn't expect for this to be the reason why she was bullied...
Momoka no......
Miura-san is a goat for this one and why does Subaru looks like she's saying "God, why did it end up being me explaining it to you"
Seriously having this truck right by their agency is a huge slap to the face
Nina Fang (also Nina stop reading the negative comments...)
"I was wrong and Hina was right all long." You know what? Fuck you, Hina. I know at present it's like Hina lowkey pushing Nina and motivating her, but I can't appreciate it that much lmao.
I love the moments where Momoka gets all serious/mature mode
Momoka apologizing.... seeing everyone getting shocked about it.... Honestly, this one broke my heart a bit. Momoka, who had lost all self-confidence, had rebuilt it very slowly because of Nina's and everyone else's trust in her.
So, seeing the song that was made by her with the members in mind not doing well must be a blow to that fragile confidence yet again. She was guilty that she let everyone down.
you're not wrong, nina. i promise you.
Everyone is tired (affectionate) of Nina's outbursts while Momoka looks awestruck... Of course, we will add this to the album of the Momoka Gayze (tm) but I think this is also related to her self-confidence.
I just said that Momoka felt guilty and like how Momoka blew Nina away in Ep. 1, Nina's outburst blew her away in a way that no, no one was blaming Momoka for their failure and the person that she is closest to still believes and trusts in her.
That awestruck gaze, admiring Nina's confidence and unwavering belief for her and the group. To the song. To their decision and that they weren't wrong. Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but let me be lmao.
ugh the softness in her gayze.... i can't...
SHUT THE FUCK UP HINA. Nina is brave enough to do the things no one would normally do!!
bro whoever that was, it's on sight. also momoka, subaru. fight em
tomo no...
sigh... i love togetoge
let them drink!!!
Momoka gayze again
You love this city (and Momoka) and met friends (and a girlfriend) right Nina?
Ngl, I did like the touch that no miracle happened. Like, oh wow, a sudden burst of tickets selling! It is what it is.
First time when i'm sad we didn't get a training arc for Nina playing guitar
I love them
idiot (affectionate)
ngl. the song is not for me HAHAHA but welp. I will take this camera angle. thanks.
Okay, now for GBC as a whole: I adore this show so fucking much. I didn't expect to fall in love with the show when I started watching it, but man. I am so glad that I didn't wait for this to finish and got to wait each week for a new episode with everyone.
Personally, the ending was okay. It feels like it's just the beginning, so it didn't feel like an ending ending. Idk how to explain it. It just.... it's like not everything has been concluded.
Regarding momonina: I am not surprised that nothing happened on camera. But with all the subtext and hints, I will take it. Sure, I wished they addressed the confession more openly, but you can't win it all.
Overall, this is my anime of the season, possibly anime of the year, and definitely one of my all time favorites. Maybe I'll make a post about the ED (since it's an epilogue), about momonina, or my fave moments throughout the season but we'll see haha.
"I wasn't wrong, was I?"
"To fall in love with Girls Band Cry."

Rating a selection of the (main) fandoms I’ve been in over the years. This is just for shits and giggles, please don’t start a war. I truly sincerely don’t care that much. Peace and love. [my current level of engagement with these fandoms varies]
One Direction 7/10 (fandom since 2013)
Absolutely cooked, but looking back, not that bad
Very powerful. Live in fear if we ever properly reunite again (the last big thing was July 2020 iykyk) bc we have reach everywhere and it never leaves our souls
Ahead of its time, but also an exact summary of 2012–2014
The solos who fight are the worst please fucking chill
The best fandom ever when it comes to tagging fics I won’t be debating this
Larries still exist in 2024 I can’t believe it either and they are the blueprint for all toxic shipping culture. Larries get a 1/10 and that 1 is for the good au fics only
5SOS 8/10 (fan since 2013, fandom since 2018)
Lots of overlap with directioners so have always kind of just been the smaller version of that fandom
Smaller fandoms can be less toxic but also sometimes 5sos fam is/was an absolute mess for no reason at all
Has been much more toxic since 2020 onwards because the guys have lives and people get way too bored
Some fans with directioner roots can’t comprehend that the band actually like each other and that’s just funny to me
Fletcher 6/10 (fan since 2017, fandom since 2020)
It was a great fandom until the first album cycle started, and then it got bad, and then Becky’s so hot made it worse, and then last year Fletcher herself joined a cult and drove it off a cliff
Currently it’s a mess of fans either forgiving her entirely, stanning Chappell Roan and Renee Rapp instead but continuing to tweet about her problems once a month, or—my favourite—forgiving her when she tours near them
Taylor Swift 4/10 (fan since 2009, fandom since 2015)
Gets worse with every passing second. Rep era? Great. Lover era? Good. Folklore/evermore? Alright. Fearless/Red TV? Tolerable. Midnights/Eras onwards? Abhorrent.
Gaylors will either save the world or end it
Some of the most insane dick riding for a fave I’ve ever seen in a fandom in my life please have some perspective
Hawaii Five-0 10/10 (since 2017)
The most active fandom for a dead tv show, I feel like I’m clout farming every time I post a fic
Never seen a more headcannoned ship in my life than mcdanno
No controversial debates
Overall very chill, but we all give the people writing genuine Steve/Lynn or Danny/Amberlissa fics side eye
Glee 9/10 (since 2018)
If you watched glee, it will come as no surprise that no one in this fandom is mentally okay
Way too passionate about ranking the seasons
Entirely cooked, but very self aware so we’re having fun
Bridgerton 7/10 (since Apr 2024)
The shipper fights take years off my life PLEASE relax I am begging you
Some of the fandom think rich straight white women are the most oppressed class of society
Good fics but you do not know how to tag smh
White Collar 19/10 (since Jan 2024)
The best!!!
No drama the only debate is about what happened in/after the finale, but it isn’t toxic
I lied the debate is are Peter/Neal romantic
Speaking of, no one protects spoilers like this fandom. We will go to battle to make sure new watchers don’t get the big reveals spoiled
Would’ve gotten a 20 but y’all, respectfully, mostly suck ass at tagging fics it’s maybe the worst fandom I’ve ever come across
#fandom#fandom discussion#one direction#directioners#5sos#5sosfam#fletcher#fletchfam#taylor swift#swifties#hawaii five 0#hawaii 5 0#h50#glee#white collar#for all their faults no one tags as good as directioners#also mcdanno fans y’all are so good at tagging as well#some fandoms across the board suck at tagging#bridgerton and white collar fans y’all the worst taggers#fanfic things#fanfic#ao3 fanfic

hoihoi !! i lovelovelove ice nine kills but i need to like expand my horizons lmao can you gimme song recs from other metal people
HELLOOOOO oh my god i absolutely can, you’ve unlocked the autism ramble of all time :] I’m probably going to bounce all over the place when it comes to metal sub genres but hopefully that gives you more room to find some guys you like! Sorry for the long post in advance but I cannot be helped
In This Moment is one of my all time favourite metal bands, and since they have toured with ice nine (and have a collab song!!!) it might be fun to start there! Some of my faves from them include Blood, Adrenalize, Whore, Natural Born Sinner, Dirty Pretty, and Sex Metal Barbie
Then The Devil Wears Prada is a bit more modern metalcore, so their songs can run lighter, but ever since I heard Sacrifice I have been OBSESSED with them. Their latest album is all really good, but standouts to me include Cancer, Salt, and Exhibitor. Chemicals is an earlier song of theirs, but also a really fucking good one
Sleep Token!! Oh my god sleep token. I would honestly recommend their whole discography to you if I could, but some overall faves are Vore, High Water, Distraction, Ascensionism, The Night Does Not Belong To God, Nazareth, and Granite
The Plot In You’s entire Swan Song album is another fucking banger, with standout songs for me being Face Me, Paradigm, and Enemy. Divide, Forgotten, and Closure are also huge faves
Wage War! I got to see them live and it was life changing. Grave is definitely one of their lighter songs overall, but Manic, Godspeed, and Hellbent are also top notch
Motionless in White are also really close to INK - both in that they toured together, and also because one of MIW’s guitarists used to work with INK! I love their entire disguise album (Another Life and Brand New Numb my beloveds), but I also enjoy Reincarnate, Cyberhex, Cause of Death, and Not My Type: Dead as Fuck 2
Bad Omens! Bad omens. There’s not much I can say about them other than they are peak - their entire DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND album is musical genius and a no-skip all around for me. Out of their older music, I also enjoy Never Know, Exit Wounds, Limits, and Burning Out
Architects. Black Lungs, Seeing Red, Giving Blood, and Curse are all really good - they have some fun political themes in their music
IMMINENCE. They make me cry. Frequently. They have no right to be so emotional and heavy at the same time. Absolutely love Infectious, Erase, The Black, Proclaim, Those Who Seek, Come What May, Surrender, and Allieviate
Spiritbox is a band I’m more recently getting into, but MAN are they so damn good. Holy Roller, Sunkiller, Rotoscope, and Angel Eyes are all favourites - Too Close / Too Late is also really good
Slipknot is definitely a more household name, but if you haven’t heard much of them: Custer, Vermillion, Unsainted, People = Shit, Spit it Out and (sic)
Also pretty well known is Bring Me The Horizon - I’ve been really in love with Kool-Aid lately, die4u is an all time fave, and Parasite Eve, 1x1, in the dark, True Friends, Doomed, and Antivist are all up there
Going a bit (a Lot) heavier: Lorna Shore. Musical geniuses. I’ve never heard a man do guttural vocals the way Will Ramos does. Their entire Pain Remains album is SOOOO good (in particular, Sun//Eater and Pain Remains I), but To the Hellfire and Of the Abyss are also life changing
In the same vein as Lorna Shore, Angelmaker. God the things I could say about Angelmaker. Leech is an allll time fave from them, but In Death, Godless, and Dissientient are up there too
Some other faves that aren’t really attached to one band: Jinnslammer by Ignea, Condemned by Stain The Canvas, The End Of All We Know by Bleed From Within, There’s Fear In Letting Go by I Prevail, Insanely Illegal Cage Fight by Dal Av, Ketamine by Fame on Fire, Felt Like Home and On The Inside by As Everything Unfolds, Darkbloom by We Came As Romans, Gaddaar by Bloodywood (anythint by Bloodywood tbh, they’re an underrated gem doing Bollywood-metal fusion), absolutely anything by Dangerkids, on the verge by thrown, Vermin by Carcosa, Pretty In Pink by Scene Queen, お先に失礼します。by Hanabie, Layers of Time by Lacuna Coil, House of Cards by Deadlands, We Got The Moves by Electric Callboy and Fading Away by From Fall To Spring
#I also really love Leander Kills but they’re a bit of a soft spot for me right now so there’s not much I can say in their favour#also from word of mouth support I feel good recommending:#currents / carnifex / kublai kahn tx / oxxymorons#**oxymorrons#I think that’s about it for now!!!! I hope you can find a band here that clicks with you <3333#thank you so very much for letting me unleash the autism monster. I absolutely love metal and get so hyped to talk about it#also if you have Instagram! sempermetallum is a really good place to get your finger on the pulse of metal. lots of release updates#and news about what’s new in metal#AUGH I FORGOT ABOUT TALLAH TOO. FUCKING LOVE TALLAH#asks

got two lil bits of memery for you today ehehe. i'm tagging @callsignnightshrike, @azemessence, @jul-likes-magpies, @fourteenthz, @all-of-humankind - no pressure of course, and feel free to snag one or both memes!
first off tagged by @oneiroy, thank you <3 :3
Last Song Listened To: doctor blind by emily haines & the soft skeleton. recently remembered this song from My Youth and now youtube likes to sprinkle it in sometimes on autoplay lol
Currently Watching: recently graduated from obsessively watching sunrise/sunset times, currently obsessively watching the local weather site for spring weather updates. tv shows, never heard of 'em
Sweet/Savory/Spicy?: i tend to actively crave savoury things more often, but i'm waaaay less picky about sweets (if it's sweet i'll probably eat it, it is as shrimple as that)
Relationship Status: 2 aromantic 4 this
Current Obsession: like two weeks ago it would still have been fallout 4, but i have returned to being able to do and think about other things since then. i don't have anything that's of the making me chew on the bars of the cage right now levels of obsession, but you know, having fun noodling about in ffxiv now that i have escaped todd howard, making little plans for what to get done before dawntrail and drawing my lil pictures
and also the 5 songs i'm into meme, tagged by @crackinthecup <3 sticking it under the cut for length!
...narrowing down the criteria for this was a challenge and a half, but i'm playing this on hardcore mode and leaving out 1) oc/character/ship songs 2) all time faves that i love but i'm not super actively listening to right now, i've only got 5 songs after all, gotta make 'em count!!
1) stoppa mig juni (lilla ego) by kent - tbh still kinda reeling from the revelation that kent... good??!! when ingenting made me want to set the radio on fire as a 12 year old. anyway, this whole meme could be populated by kent alone, i've been listening to them so much
2) it will all make sense in the morning by halou - i adore the atmosphere in this song so much, one of those 'i wanna apply this to something but i don't know what' tunes
3) a masters in reverse psychology by murder by death - ...if i pulled up a random song from this album to put on this list. well. i'm SO obsessed with the whole album, not a single bad song on it and i love listening to it from start to finish all the time
4) children of the sun by poets of the fall - the absolute fight for my life against rule nr 1 when it comes to potf... and even so, the line is very blurry with this one BUT i just love this song, it's so gentle
5) isa tuli koju by metro luminal - the obligatory estonian entry and i'm trying to be slightly less predictable by not listing terminaator for a change. it's a bit of a meme with my family, but i can't deny that this song nevertheless fucks, i love the dark lyrics

for the send me a character ask (im gonna give u multiple names lolol)
Jesse
Echo
Rex
Okay so I'm going to try and do all of these simultaneously which is probably a bad idea but we'll see what happens :D
Jesse, Echo, and Rex
Favourite thing about them
This one is probably a universal thing across all of them so I'm going to lump them together for this. I absolutely love their drive to do what's right and to protect their brothers. They want to help people in whatever way they can and I think that is incredibly admirable. Also gonna throw in a bonus for Echo's bond with Omega. It's adorable.
Least favourite thing about them
Errrrrrrrrrr... Fuck. That's difficult. I'd say for Jesse that I don't know how well I'd get on with him in real life. I'm sure we could be friends, but in a "we're on different wavelengths" kinda way, does that make sense? I'm reaching here tbf.
For Echo, probably his complete inability to control his facial expressions in some situations. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Echo's facial expressions, but sometimes I think he could dial it back just a little bit. 🤏 Mainly thinking about that bit with the Wookiees in TBB where he looks at the soup like it's gonna kill him. They're trying to be hospitable!
Do I have something I don't like about Rex? Idk. I'd say sometimes I'm a little bit like "why are you doing this?" because I think it's a bad decision (e.g. following Krell's orders) but normally I can understand what his reasoning is, even if I don't love his choices.
Favourite line
Jesse: "Where there's a farm, there's usually a farmer"
Echo: "It's not about that. It's about fighting for our brothers."
Rex: "Gives us clones mixed feelings about the war. Many people wish it never happened. But without it, we clones wouldn't exist."
brOTP
Jesse and Kix, Echo and Fives, Rex and Cody
OTP
None for any of them
NOTP
Once again, none for any of them, but I guess them with any other clone
Random headcanon
Jesse was so shocked about making ARC trooper that he got a little more emotional over it than he thought he would and cried.
Part of the reason why Echo was constantly reading the reg manuals is because they had to be updated every time the Domino Twins caused chaos by exploiting loopholes in them.
Rex is a really annoying patient when he's in the medbay. He spends most of the time insisting he's fine and trying to discharge himself even though Kix has told him on numerous occasions that it's a bad idea.
Unpopular opinion
This question is always so hard. I'm not sure about Jesse and Rex, I may swing back to that at a later time, but I'd say I have a couple for Echo. 1) He still would have joined the Bad Batch is Fives was alive. 2) His ending should have been in the Bad Batch regardless of what it was. I'm sure they'll back to it at a later date, but imo it should have been in that show.
Song I associate with them
Jesse: Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield
Echo: Back From the Dead by Skillet
Rex: We Don't Run by Bon Jovi
Favourite pic of them
*looks at album full of clone pics and sweats nervously* Here are some of my faves.
Jesse in the back of this shot:
Echo:
Rex:

What Gym Class Heroes album should I listen to first, having only heard a few scattered songs before?
okay, okay. good question. personally? i would listen to them all in chronological order (The Papercut Chronicles, then As Cruel as School Children, then The Quilt, then The Papercut Chronicles II) to see the change and growth of the band as a whole cuz that's kind of what i did. but if you wanna do a vibes based approach, i'll give you the rundown on all the albums.
if i had to clearly define each album as a singular vibe i would say they are Sad, Sexy, Experimental and Cunt.
The Papercut Chronicles (February 22nd, 2005) - SAD
angst on angst on angst. there's suicide, addiction, self harm, breakups, self loathing, homophobic violence, addiction, depression, shitty relationships, addiction and did i mention addiction? you've got Cupid's Chokehold and Make Out Club to add a little fun and sexiness but it's a lottttt of heavy shit. Travie's not fucking around on this, he's getting in! to! it! my favourite song right now would probably be To Bob Ross with Love but you should listen to it straight through, in order the first time.
As Cruel as School Children (July 25th, 2006) - SEXY
in an interview, Travie was asked to describe As Cruel as School Children using one word and he picked "sexy." i agree with him, this is a sexy ass album. are you feeling sexy? would you like to feel sexier? Clothes Off! fucks severely and makes me fan myself like a victorian man seeing an ankle for the first time. you want horny romance? you got that. you want student/teacher? you got that. you want ye older internet romance? you got that. you want sex and addiction? you got that. you want sex as a metaphor for addiction? you best believe you got that!! also the sloppy love jingles? hawt <3 my fave song right now would probably be Shoot Down the Stars.
The Quilt (September 8th, 2008) - EXPERIMENTAL
there's a wide variety of genres and themes in this one. there's drunk sex, there's legal trouble, there's father-son bonding, there's a really excellent and non offensive trans joke, there's so many pop culture references, there's infidelity and there's a whole bunch of disses that i think go really hard. like i know in my heart that Travie could rip Drake a new one. the album opens up with fucking JAZZ, then there's fabulous rap and hip hop of course, with some Pumped Up Kicks kind of pop (happy music, dark lyrics) and some seriously sick ass guitar (thank you Disashi <333). my fave song right now would probably be Guilty as Charged
The Papercut Chronicles II (November 11th, 2011) - CUNT
CUNT is a mixture of confidence, sexiness, no fucks given and talent wrapped up in 11 bad bitch tracks. 14 years of Gym Class Heroes came together into this fucking beauty of an album. i'm just saying, if your fave album is so good, how come it didn't get a sequel? we've got back to back bangers that are not afraid to reference or not reference old Gym Class Heroes lore and they all do what they do fucking beautifully. there's confidence, there's vulnerability, there's religion, there's metaphors coming out of everything, there's fucking SICKENING guitar and beats, there's fight songs, there's love songs, there's grocery shopping, there's dinosaurs, there's breakups and there's dollar signs instead of S's. my fave song right now would probably be Martyrial Girl$
so yeah, that's my take on every Gym Class Heroes album <3 listen to them in order tho
#gym class heroes#the papercut chronicles#as cruel as school children#the quilt#the papercut chronicles ii#song recs#00s#00s music#10s music#music recs#travie mccoy#decaydance

I’m trying to make my own AW2 playlist of chapter ending songs—do you have any recommendations? Feel like we’re similarly obsessed with the spiral…
Thnx for your question! And well yeah I might be a bit obsessed with the spiral/loops and its endless possibilities & scenarios that could've been 👀
Besides the official ending songs the game already provides, there are some other songs that give me general AW/AW2 vibes or specific feels for certain characters! I've been pondering about songs to share for a while, so this is a great opportunity! Thnx again for the ask!
Also feel free to share your own songs in my inbox if you feel like it :D
It's gonna be a long post so buckle up 😅
This is the moment to share my love for Lord Huron, specifically their Strange Trails album but also Vide Noir one.
Strange Trails is, to me, an album about being lost and cursed and it's about love. Honestly, I don't think The Night We Met is a good representative about the entire album.
Meet Me In The Woods
This entire song just screams Alan Wake to me.
I took a little journey to the unknown, And I come back changed. I can feel it in my bones. I fucked with forces that our eyes can't see. Now the darkness got a hold on me.
(...)
How long, baby, have I been away? Oh, it feels like ages though you say it's only days. There ain't language for the things I've seen. And the truth is stranger than my own worst dreams.
(...)
I have seen what the darkness does. Said goodbye to who I was. I ain't never been away so long. Don't look back them days are gone. Follow me into the endless night. I can bring your fears to life. Show me yours and I'll show you mine. Meet me in the woods tonight.
Like, how can you read those lyrics and not think about our boy Alan.
2. Way Out There
Drifting in a land time forgot If you think that I've changed, you know me not I belong bodily to the earth I'm just wearing old bones from those that came first I been unraveling since my birth
Those lyrics and partially the song in general remind me of Alan in the Dark Place trying to escape. How many loops has he been through? (Thus in this context, kind of wearing 'old bones from those who came first, aka older iterations of Alan himself) Also, the theremin they use is so fitting and it's an instrument often used in horror movies so <3
3. Vide Noir (both album itself & song)
Where can you go when it’s all in your head? These are the last words that I ever said Where can you go when it’s all in your head? These are the last words that I ever said
Tbh, this album also gives off major Control vibes with its themes and songs about the Astral plane & the black void. Many other songs on the album talk about the main character getting lost and drifting in-between time/space and living/dying
4. War by Poets of the Fall
You might be familiar with the song already and its music video 👀
I like how all the Poets were involved in the video as Taken (have you seen BTS shots of Olli with a fake beard?!!) Anyways, the song makes me think of how Alan has to remember that there are people out there who want to help him. That there are people out there fighting against the Darkness, even if he is mainly unaware and might even feel he doesn't deserve external help. It also reflects Alice being Alan's bright light in the darkness, and the reason he wants to keep fighting to get back to her.
In a similar vein, Lust For Life (also PoTF haha) this song could also be seen through an Alan/Alice lens, the shared shoebox mechanic and Alice trying to help/guide Alan back to the real world.
What is lost may be found Safe and sound
5. Hello Cabaret by PoTF
Now this song is maybe one of my faves of the Ghostlight album. Relistening to my fave lyrics of the song, it reminds me of the Koskelas and Ilmo specifically.
For when you come calling Dancing on my grave For all my choices made Judging me for how I played The hand you dealt me Stains the blood that flows
(...)
Of all I once did love but lost Nothing comes without a cost The wise fool said that's just the way it goes
(...)
Most will never comprehend Till' they're in the very predicament
To me, Ilmo at the end of the game is heartbroken and dead inside now that his other/better half is gone. The 'you' in question here might as well be the player or Scratch/Alan and he feels judged by the narrative of his previous actions. He's made decisions and sacrifices and used the Cult as a palpable 'villain' for the greater good. Something many probably didn't/wouldn't understand unless they were in his shoes.
6. Chasing Echoes by PoTF
It's a fun coincidence that in AW2 you have literal Echoes to chase huh.
Is this a role or disguise seeking mercy in creation? Just another device or truly a time when we will rise? Oh one and all, to the occasion And bridge the gap to see the other side?
The more on-the-nose/literal meaning aside, I think this song can be read as another one about Alan trying to escape the DP/spiral upwards toward ascension. Again, there's a 'you' in this song that could be interpreted as Alice who is a light inside Alan's darkness.
7. Brother by Lord Huron
How long have I known you, brother? Hundreds of lives, thousands of years How many miles have we wandered Under the sky, chasing our fear? Considering the spiral and the historical background of the Koskelas and their (indirect) ties to the Huotaris, they might as well known each other/been brothers for longer than what we see in-game. Some kind of trouble is coming Don't know when, don't know what I will stand by you, brother 'Til the daylight comes or I'm dead and gone
(...)
I know we can't stop what's coming But I will try, oh how I'll try Will you fight with me, brother One last time, one last fight
We know Ilmo got visited by the Dark Presence and has had nightmares about killing Jaakko. Luckily, he rose above that (as far as we know) but I think the dread and fear of losing Jaakko keeps lingering just underneath the surface. Personally, I enjoy the thought of people sometimes remembering the previous loop/spiral and that those affected/remembering would try anything to keep the loop from repeating.
8. You Belong To Me by Cat Pierce
If you're a fan of Alan/Scratch, this song has that obsessive/possessive vibe to it that seems to be a dialogue/mix between them.
I've heard allegations 'bout your reputation I'll show you my shadows if you show yours Let's get it right dear, give a good fight dear We'll keep it all up behind closed doors
(...)
I must confess to you, I want to possess you Feels like we're dreaming, we're tripping and reeling Just say that you belong to me I could get lost in the feelings we're feeling Just say that you belong to me
#anon ask#alan wake 2 spoilers#alan wake 2#alan wake#alice wake#TLDR: Lord Huron Strange Trails/Vide Noire albums and PoTF's Ghostlight album <333#koskela brothers#ilmo koskela#jaakko koskela#my posts#my ramblings#songs I listen to for years now and always like to reassign to the fandom at hand

Rules: list your ten favorite albums of all time and tag ten people to list theirs!
THIS GOT SO LONG IM SORRY
There is absolutely 0 order to this. Also I did 11 because I thought of all of these and then kept going back and forth about which one to eliminate and I couldn’t do it!! They’re all here for different reasons so I’m saying fuck the rules everybody lives! I am an absolute Album Listener like I’m usually in the mood for a specific album and I’ll listen straight through(but maybe skip a couple songs here and there)
1. Montaigne- Complex (This is the first year in like 3 years that Montaigne hasn’t been my number 1 or 2 artist on wrapped but all their albums still absolutely rule but this one is my fave.)
2. The Killers- Sam’s Town (I’ve been a Killers fan since I saw Somebody Told Me on the vh1 top 20 video countdown ✌️Hot Fuss is a banger but Sam’s Town holds a special place. Remember when we had song ringtones? The song Sam’s Town from the album Sam’s Town was mine for so long in high school.)
3. Punisher- Phoebe Bridgers (the soundtrack of my 2020 I used to come home exhausted from work and sit in bed and listen to punisher straight through and read fanfic to unwind. In hindsight not a Great Time but in the moment it kept me sane)
4. Coheed and Cambria- In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth 3 (the amount of Coheed I listened to in college was astronomical. For a while they got linked to a shitty time so I couldn’t listen but seeing them in the line up for WWWY is bringing me back babeyyy. Honestly big respect to Claudio Sanchez for making a whole band and multiple albums around his little OCs)
5. My Chemical Romance- The Black Parade (truly do I have to explain)
6. Petey- Lean Into Life (Petey made up 28% of my top 100 songs this year alone so he’s earned his place)
7. The Wombats- Glitterbug (I was torn between this one and Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life but Headspace being on Glitterbug means it wins)
8. Metric- Live It Out (Another HS/College banger. I used to get so anxious during boss/big enemy fights in video games so I would listen to this album and sometimes specifically Monster Hospital on repeat. Sad I don’t like any of Metrics stuff post Fantasies but their early albums are great)
9. One Direction- Made In The AM (if yall haven’t been here for long you missed the 1D years and tbh I’m sad for you it was a fun time. Glad I got in as a fully cooked adult so I could avoid the extremely toxic parts and just have fun. Anyway last album best album when is the hiatus ending boys!!!!!!!!!)
10. Rilo Kiley- The Execution Of All Things(back to HS/college woohoooo! Truly is there anything better than screaming A Better Son/Daughter I DONT THINK SO)
11. Modest Mouse- We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank (Missed The Boat is one of my favorites songs of all time. This is another band that got stuck in the Associated With Bad Person zone for awhile but I just relistened a couple years ago and we’re so back baby)
tagging @pixiestickers @lookforanewangle @captainshakespear @bishakespeares @cassiefisherdrake @varricandhawke @thychesters @ursanic
11 albums 8 people I’m a great rule follower
Also if you see this and want to do it this is blanket permission to just say I tagged you ✌️
#what do i even tag this as#music game#whatever#tumblr search is fucked anyway it will soon be lost to the void#actual about me

@fuzzydreamin thanks for the lol. ive been a little busy with life so sorry for the late response.
Favorite Color:
Green. Like Blindingly Neon almost yellow bile/acid toxic hazmat pukey green. Also black. I'm also a fan of earthy tones, warm greys and browns, rusty orangey reds, and i also unironically love that "some smoker lived here for 5+ years but i swear the walls are white" sepia color.
Last song:
Either Childish Flamingo or 1x1. I've been hopping in between really screamy and just goofy shit atm because i cant focus with anything else. 🤷 But (I also jsut got a new BMTH hoodie) BMTH's post human album has been feeding me. It's a really good (visual? no.) example of that like just angry and over it nihilist feeling and I just *MUNCH CRUNCH AAAA* like i feel like it could be just the tiniest bit angrier and louder but i think that's my headphones.
as for childish flamingo, its like that miseryxcpr thing imo. It's goofy and funny and it slaps. and it's so catchy. it's like right on the edge of aha funny and fuck you street and i love it. i hope any of that makes sense im sorry lol.
Last movie:
the Demon Slayer movie. I skipped all the way to the end to see the fight between Akaza and Rengoku because they're two of my favs ( in order from that show: Uzui (my mom calls yuzu (my cat) Uzui and its adorable) Akaza and Rengoku. I Found out the english dub is out (im way behind) and just needed to hear their english voice acting. all of it is amazing and Akaza's lil gigles during the fight make me incredibly happy. Guys who laugh/giggle mid combat? Ugh >\\x//<
Currently Watching:
Demon Slayer, Chainsaw man, Tokyo ghoul (im rewatching a bunch of animes) Steven universe. (i love all of these and full recommend them. I literally just yesterday(or the day before idk time is a blur) got a new funko pop, it's the half-kakuja kaneki and i love it.)
Other stuff i've watched this year:
Spy x Family, the Junji ito Collection, Yamishibai (if you like picture style art and horror this is great, its somewhat junji ito like, but shorter stories and ngl the zanbai ep scared me a bit) psychpass (some reccomended this to me cause im (obviously) a fan of darker more gruesome shows, and it is very dystopian, love the art work, but i just dont get it.) Given (if you havent watched this show please watch it its amazing) Yuri on ice, Banana Fish (also another fave)
(I work from home, and pretty much exist at my computer, and need to keep on music or tv to keep the bad thoughts out, so i have a lot of time and opportunity to watch stuff ok)
Shows I dropped this week:
Psycho pass. again, i just couldnt get into it. I know a lot of people seem to really like and it full seems like a show that would be up my alley. that first ep was kind of a lot though. I'm not ashamed to admit i love shows that are unafraid to show nudity and violence but the two together (ifykyk) make me uncomfortable. If this case had been a little further in the show i think it would have been fine, but it's litterally the first like ten minutes of the show. I also tried watching this a few week ago while at wasteland but we were pretty much just out the door.
Devil May Cry. I still love the games and the characters, and i remember loving the anime as a kid but its just... so different from the games lmao.
Currently Reading:
random internet stuff, fics and shit. I feel bad because i used to go to the library all the time but at the same time, i dont really have the room to store a whole bunch of books and despite being super dyslexic, i read insanely fast, so renting/buying books isnt worth it to me. (i've read entire full length series in the span of a day or two, while doing other stuff. I need longer, more conveniently packaged novels and that typically comes in the form of fanfiction. )
tagging: @snowmutant @ivanpahdrylakeracer @glaochormfitheach(idk if ur cool tagging you in this kinda stuff, if not just lmk i though it'd be fun :D) @the-soup-witch(im dragging you into tumblr culture whether you like it or not, welcome to tagging games)

sorry i have such a pet peeve when people fight arguments with the wrong points and rn my fyp is full of taylor swift, it's like 40% "all her songs sound the same😡her lyrics are so cringe😡" etc and 40% is "nooo she has different sounding songs" AND THEN THEY CHOOSE THE MOST SIMILAR SOUNDING SONGS AS EXAMPLES or they go "um if she has cringe lyrics then explain this" and the choose the most basic possible lyric out of what like 11 albums of options and it's actually pissing me off so fucking bad
so first off here's some lyrics i think are pretty sick. i color coordinated them so the separate lyrics don't all blend together
from The Archer:
"And I cut off my nose just to spite my face
Then I hate my reflection for years and years"
i love the imagery in this line from Cruel Summer:
"Devils roll the dice, angels roll their eyes"
from Would've, Could've, Should've:
"God rest my soul, I miss who I used to be
The tomb won't close, stained glass windows in my mind"
for context would've, could've, should've is filled with themes of christianity, god, the devil so i love the line about stained glass windows representing trauma here
from right where you left me:
Help, I'm still at the restaurant
Still sitting in a corner I haunt
Cross-legged in the dim light
They say, "What a sad sight"
I, I swear you could hear a hair pin drop
Right when I felt the moment stop
Glass shattered on the white cloth
Everybody moved on
I, I stayed there
Dust collected on my pinned-up hair
They expected me to find somewhere
Some perspective, but I sat and stared
Right where you left me
the imagery!! it perfectly represents being stuck in a traumatic memory. haunting the space and collecting dust while everyone expects you to move on already. very cool metaphor/analogy
from I Know Places:
You stand with your hand on my waistline
It's a scene, and we're out here in plain sight
I can hear them whisper as we pass by
It's a bad sign, bad sign
Somethin' happens when everybody finds out
See the vultures circling, dark clouds
Love's a fragile little flame, it could burn out
It could burn out
'Cause they got the cages, they got the boxes
And guns
They are the hunters, we are the foxes
And we run
from Dancing With Our Hands Tied:
I could've spent forever with your hands in my pockets
Picture of your face in an invisible locket
You said there was nothing in the world that could stop it
I had a bad feeling
But we were dancing
Dancing with our hands tied, hands tied
both I Know Places and Dancing With Our Hands Tied are about dating while being scrutinized by the public. i just love the metaphor and imagery again
also bonus, the song my tears ricochet. im not even gonna show lyrics (the lyrics have funeral themes tho which i think is cool). just the phrase my tears ricochet for a song discussing someone hurting you and then missing you when you leave is so smart. look how my pain struck right back at you. like damn
next section:
i feel like it would be easy to combat "all her songs sound the same" comments when the artist being talked about literally had the public in outrage when she switched from country to pop. so my question is why are people responding to those comments with songs within the same Genre and Same Album ????????????? pick literally Any Other Song. i am going to lose it.
here's a list of songs you could listen to and hear very different sounding songs. again i coloured the songs and it corresponds to albums
...Ready For It? (these red ones are from the Reputation Album)
Endgame
New Year's day
Don't Blame Me
willow
champagne problems
Lavender Haze (these purple ones up here are from the Midnights album)
Sweet Nothing
Picture To Burn
New Romantics
Slut!
State Of Grace (this red one is from Red)
Better Than Revenge (this purple one is from Speak Now)
analyzing Taylors music is a special interest of mine, so i'm more familiar with the songs than anything about her, and she's not even my fave musician but i'm seeing both diehard swifties and haters misrepresent her music so fucking bad it's bothering me so much. sometimes the music hits sometimes it doesn't. you can't have absolutes after 11 albums and idk at least three genre changes.
pls keep it cordial in the comments and reblogs 💃i've just seen some weird, horrid, and violent comments on taylor swift type content and i need y'all to be normal about this. bc at some point it says Much More about you than taylor
#i wouldn't consider myself a swiftie#i just like to stare at her music like cats stare at carbonated water#i am simply contemplating it like those video essay people#i am staring autism style#she's also one of three artists who's music puts my brain in a songwriting mood#maybe four#taylor swift#lyrical analysis#music#special interest#autism

A Hell of a Good Ride
My favorite album of all time is The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. I remember buying the CD from Tower Records (!) with my paycheck from my first job and listening to it with the volume turned all the way flooding my shoebox apartment with all the achingly beautiful voice of Ms. Lauryn Hill. Her album is just packed full of emotion, and listening to her sing and rap was just mesmerizing. Every time I listened to her album, it felt like Ms. Hill was beside me, revealing her innermost thoughts, fears, and dreams. And to this day, whenever I stream her songs, that feeling never fades. It is even more emotional because I can relate more than ever to what she was singing back then.
Twenty-five years later, the same feelings came back, courtesy of Jimin's FACE.
This album will go down as one of the best releases this year as well as from BTS.
The first time I listened to FACE in its entirety, from the first to the last track, I had to get up from my chair and take a deep breath. It felt dreamlike, and I don't have any idea if it was because I was finally hearing Jimin's debut album or that I had expectations of what I thought his album would sound like. It was a surreal moment, and I am pretty sure I had my hand covering my mouth as I was processing what I had just heard.
Listening to FACE felt like an assault to the ears in the most pleasurable way. You know that feeling when you are having sex, the moment after your climax? When you are still high on pleasure? Listening to FACE in its entirety felt like that for me.
Look, I don't know the correct musical terms, but as someone who enjoys listening to music, all I know is when a song makes you automatically close your eyes and sway your body and just feel it, then I know it is fucking good. That is me, by the way, whenever Like Crazy plays, regardless of what version it is. And Spotify is so right to add it to the Make Out playlist because that song sets the mood right, no doubt!
Who wouldn't make out with him in the club? Even just eye-fucking him would be an experience.
Sitting on the washroom floor of a club might be a health hazard, but I'd risk it just to straddle that Jimin. That mullet. That eye makeup. That fit. Gods, he was so fucking hot. One of my fave looks ever.
And what about the rest of the album? Well, Set Me Fre Pt. 2 feels like a big "Fuck you!" to all your haters and naysayers. Heck! Even to your doubting self. The addition of the choir is just majestic. The chants haunt you and command you to fucking listen, Jimin has something to say.
Go ahead, mess with him. He knows how to fight back.
Face-Off is that song you'll blast when you are with your friends, and you talk about the people who fucked you over. It is that cathartic release you need in song form. And you just can't help but growl with Jimin when he sings, "Tonight I don't wanna be sober, Pour it up, it's all fucking over."
Interlude: Dive meanwhile is totally eargasmic. I mean, I would play it nonstop just to hear Jimin panting because that's the closest thing I can have Jimin near me bwahahaha.
Alone is that song that sneaks up on you. When I first heard it, I was like, "Oh, Jimin. This is just criminal. You fucking know how sexy your low register is." Then there's a part of the song that sounds garbled? And I wondered what part was that. (BTW, I checked the translated lyrics after a day. I was too immersed in all the melodies, beats, rhythms, and whatever crack FACE was throwing at me.) Then I stumbled upon this tweet:
For that part, the lyrics were, "Day and night, the repeated fall."
So fucking genius, don't you agree? Also, as I listen more to Alone, the more it captivates me. Jimin sings with so much heartache that you can't help but feel his pain, and you just want to hug him and cry with him and hold his hand all throughout the night. The song stills your heart because it is drenched with despair.
And it is just fitting that FACE ends with Set Me Free Pt.2. It is a liberation song with a message that whatever hurt or betrayal that has paralyzed you in the past, you can rise above it on your own, and that is the sweetest form of revenge and freedom.
Who are you again? This is fiercer and freer Jimin speaking.
As for the hidden track, Letter. Well, let's just say when I first heard it, Serendipity must be quaking. Hehe. Seriously. Jimin bares his heart on this track. This is the rawest Jimin I have heard. He just presented his heart and was happy to do so, if I may add. If FACE chronicles what he went through during the pandemic, as he told us in multiple interviews, I felt Letter is for the one who was with him throughout those turbulent times. The one who never wavered, who held his hand and kept their promise. Letter is a thank you song, I guess, to that person. It is also a song of promise. And to whom Jimin dedicates Letter? Your guess is as good as mine.
Continue streaming FACE. It is a hell of a ride. Thank you, Jimin, for this masterpiece. You are beyond amazing.
Celestial beauty.

Good morning Lola!! some questions to distract you during your dry needling. Now I see you’re a big traveler, what is your favourite meal you’ve eaten overseas? also! your answer about gang signs & prayer has given me so much nostalgia omg! I listened to that album on my train to and from uni constantly, and now everytime I hear songs from it it just reminds me of that time in my life, so I want to know you’re favourite songs or lyrics from it? and as a fellow cds in the car gal, what’s the first album your remember buying? and your fave to listen to in the car lately?
good morning! thanks for the ask! the needles are out and i am hobbling around because my quads are SO tight - the physio: 'oooh this is a good one' me: 'this fucking sucks actually'.
my favourite overseas meal - not sure exactly, but probably something i ate in vietnam or thailand. i had some truly incredible meals over there and SO cheap too. 309428/10 would go back for food alone (but also other reasons).
stormz giving us so much life! my favourite song is prob mr skeng for the vibes, but i also first things first, cold and cigarettes and cush (kehlani and lily allen 😭) the lyric that always gets me is the 'you was fighting with your girl when i was fighting my depression' just before the pause because it hits. but i just saw stormzy at laneway and let me tell you the energy in vossi bop for 'i could never die, i'm chuck norris / fuck the government and fuck boris' was high key haha. also, i'm not sure if you've heard one take freestyle - that song is so random but it's one of my favourites of his!
my very first album was on TAPE (that's how old i am - it was britney's baby one more time). my first CD was s club 7 - bring it all back. what was yours?
thanks for the ask!
#this is just a love letter to stormzy#aka big mikey#aka wickedskengman#merky#lolaland answers#honesty hour

I guess this is personal but my last fight with my ex started because of TS, of all things. She says I'm miserable and normal fans say they like this album and move on, but I don't because I listen to her but don't like her actions. Idk I guess so many of our love songs were based on Joe's (fave by far, you will always be famous) and it's another side of parasocial relationship Ik but yeah. I agree with your takes and feel you on the disillusionment. Btw can you talk about lavender at Sbux yet o
honestly it’s hard when someone you love/ admire / respect doesn’t live up to your expectations, so i understand why you would be upset with her. i definitely am. i think because we’re so aware about what songs ts wrote with or about joe, it’s hard to still love them now that we know that they’re no longer together. it’s difficult, i used to listen to “sweet nothing (string version)”every morning at work but if it comes on shuffle now i just have to skip it bc it makes me feel just a little too sad still ☹️ it’s hard to separate her personal life from the songs sometimes, and that parasocial dynamic i think really fucks us up. this is not taylor exclusive either- i feel like halsey and taylor share a lot of similarities lmao 💀 i used to listen to the stripped version of “so good” every morning too but now it also makes me sad ☹️
and hhaha yesss well i can’t talk about how it tastes yet bc my store hasn’t received it yet.
putting under the cut bc starbucks is a controversial topic still (understandably. however this is quite literally my job so)
so it looks like it’s another powder (rip us baristas) and it’ll be advertised as an iced lavender oatmilk latte (w blonde espresso ofc), a lavender cream frappachino (no coffee!), and a foam w the sweet cream. featured drink is iced lavender cream ostmilk matcha!! (just a matcha w the lavender foam w sweet cream).
i’m transferring stores after next week, so hopefully one of my locations gets our shipment in soon!! one of my baristas actually brought in the monin lavender flavored syrup for fun until we do, so maybe i’ll mess around tomorrow morning and try to make one to see how sbux lavender powder tastes in comparison!

+ stray kids : 5-STAR (★★★★★) | my comeback review/thoughts °˖✧
welcome! let’s get started! >:) happy skz day <33 feel free to let me know you thoughts and if you agree with stuff or have your own interpretation :D
god i missed skz music so let’s get it
album ;
★ - favorite
:: Hall of Fame ★
OMG SUCH A GREAT INTRO TO THE ALBUM
this is such a great statement for the theme of the album as well as who stray kids are
the bass is really good and the key is wonderful
the pre hook is absolutely amazing and it gets you hyped
minho’s parts are one of my favorites tbh he has such good energy and it makes it feel like his lines are a punch to the gut
i love the whole hook!!!!!!!!!
and the sci-fi vibe sfx are really good wow
felix’s lines too tho like yes sir spit facts >:D
:: S-Class
this is an amazing title track imo!
honestly this is a great statement about who stray kids is and how far they’ve come. now hear me out.
they kind of show a little bit of everything that makes up their genre so to speak. noise music, hard bass, charming little quirky parts, not even mentioning the fun choreo and footwork that they’re known for.
it showed that they’re here and that they aren’t changing their brand any time soon.
the whistle to start it off is so iconic honestly
the pre hook yet again is my favorite and the ending section of the chorus with all the footwork :D
the pre hook is both gentle and hype-building
also that endless bass in the hook is so nice it’s low and tickles my ear just right
THE SWITCH UP FOR VERSE 2 BRUH that reminded me of nct’s songs being a totally diff song at certain points LOL
THE BRIDGE IS SO FUCKING PERFECT BRRRRRUUUUHHH
that deep synth during the dance break is delicious
it really is great just wow *claps*
:: ITEM ★
so welcome to one of my favorite songs on the album
the intro is one of my favorite things ever the nostalgia of the 8bit sounds
the hook is so aggressive and i think using changbin and felix for the “item!” part is perfect
the second verse rap may be the best part tbh it’s so addicting hearing their fast raps the rhythm is so good
jisung’s rap was probs my fave hhhh no surprise
such a nice mix of happy and aggressive tbh which also has to do with the major vibe
honestly if this was their b-side i wouldn’t complain honestly it’s such a good song all-around
honestly love they didn’t unveil this
:: Super Bowl ★
oh god i knew i’d love this one !!!!!
super impressed with doing it in all english
all the whispers tho omfg so clean
honestly i understand why this didn’t become god’s menu tt it doesn’t give tt quite like current god’s menu and gives off more b-side
honestly it’s so addicting like item just whoa the bridge is so nice and the hook is so good i’m very hit or miss with chanting choruses but this one does it nicely
the whispers tho are so perfect i have to mention them again *melts* especially with headphones
:: TOPLINE (Feat. Tiger JK)
changbin rapping first *nods* very nice
the bass hits are so nice on the ears
ooooh! pre hook >>>> so nice the keys are some of my favorite

:: The Sound (Korean Ver.)

i already liked the sound before but i tend not to like kr versions of jp songs (besides TOP) but this one is actually alright
i still have bias towards the original but i’m open
the raps are still really good tho like catJAM
i still miss “this is THE SOUND! it’s THE SOUND!”

no really i like this being the end to the album smth we’re familiar with and a very like... idk conclusive song to end it with
like going out with a happy bang!
god i really fucking love stray kids man <3
mv/performance ;
honestly i’m not always for big flashy mvs but i know that’s kind the era of kpop mvs rn but skz never really bothers me with their mvs even if there’s a lot going on LOL (like the soldiers, the octo monster, the horse, the fire, just for examples) oh and i won with all the chris shots LOL anyways
i really like the choreo it’s really playful and like they said it’s like a “playful annoying” HAHA it really comes off as these annoying kids having fun without a care. my favorite part of the choreo is the hook and the start of verse 2 i love the switch up so much it’s not even funny.
also the part where minho and chris get to be center with the footwork that’s such a nice moment!
i loved all the scenes on the boat fr fr that’s so cool! i also loved the camera work yet again their mvs always have such nice camerawork and editing <3333333 i love how they yet again did everything that tends to “bother” people. adding a lot of things to their videos and making them wild just like making their music noisy HAHA
i also really liked the minchanjeong shot for the bridge it’s so good. that and seungmin’s shot at the end of the bridge too! hyun showing up in the fire for hook 2 was also so nice! ugh i could talk about the whole mv tbh LOL
final thoughts ;
wow overall this comeback is hard-hitting and there’s so much to take in!! there’s literally way too much to deal with you can’t process it all on one listen or watch. you need like ten LOL i’m in love with this cb tbh after listening to the album and the songs and seeing the mv like 4-5 times (this will go up later lol) i’m really happy and pleased with this cb!! overall it’s quite literally 5 stars HAHA <3333 thanks for reading if you made it this far *bows* i’m out to vibe to the album and watch the fan chant (we got 4 parts of chris in s-class can i get an amen)
