Here are my ranking of characters in the caraval/ouabh world (it's long read at ur own risk)
1.jacks ..duh
The archer? The prince of hearts? Imagine having more iconic titles than these!
I really love his character it's very well written. He's not the typical morally gray who is always grumpy he has a really good sense of dark humor, which adds more to his character. Bro also literally dyed his hair blue after he got his heart broken, and he eats apple to stop his urge from kissing? I can't..😭 the way he teased eva? Hehehe, he had me giggling. I love sm their banter! Also, don't get me started on "there's nothing of equal value to me" bro just take my heart😔🫶 also him trying to teach eva how to defend herself then come saving her each time>>>
2.Evangeline
She literally the softest character and she didn't lose her feminine vibes and got cold because the world was against her she fought for what she believes in and LITERALLY THE FIRST FMC TO CONFEESS TO THE ML also she's vulnerable and forgiving she still had progress at the end ! She's the best example of coquette girl 🎀🩷 she isn't blinded by revenge like other mc she just want to live happily with jacks and she didn't sit and wish for it to happen she fought for love! She confessed to Jacks , and she kissed him herself! she's one of my favorite FMC!🥰💕
3.Scarlett
Scarlett is the most caring person she always put other needs above herself, especially if it comes to her sister since she was her only family I think when their mother left she felt like she had to fill that role since older sister kinda have a protective side to their younger siblings she even was ready to marry a man by his letters for that, I'm so glad she meet Julian because they just fit together! The way she was ready to make him hate her just so he can be free... I love that woman, a true empress indeed❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🤌
4. Julian santos
I will try to keep it short from now! I love that men the way he only had was following his brother's script, but he was ready to change it just for her , bro even gave a day from his life for her so she'd wake up to not miss the game. He got a crimson tattoo to not forget her😭 he was ready to fight to save her at the end ! They're literally my babies..😔💓also we're getting his pov in the spectacular hehehehe🤭
5. Lala
I just love iconic women who love fashion, ngl. I was mad at her when I learned she was responsible for the curse, but in the end jacks did worse things💀, plus she did save eva she also supported her till the end!girlie was ready to kill aurora for her! Also, I hope she can finally find love, and it lasts! I need a book for her with chaos, hehehe 🤭
6.chaos
Ok, i was mad when he killed eva, but I get it. I can't imagine being turned to a vampire, then had to wear a helmet for God knows how many years that prevent me from drinking blood. It's not like he had control on himself, but I'm sure he was traumatized when he realized what he did! I'm so curious to learn more about him too, and plus he did have iconic moments that made me giggle 🤭 I also have a thing for vampires ...😔💕
7. Dontella
Ok, to be honest, I'm neutral about her. I don't like her nor hate her. Yes, she was annoying sometimes, but do I think that she deserves to HATED ? No hate is a strong word. Also, I actually would defend her from the people who accuse her of not caring about scarlet.. I mentioned it before in another post..
8.legend
Ok, cool, sometimes , but ugh, I hate how he treated Julian sm...also the whole grandma thing...ik he's immortal and old, but why stephanie?😭
I'm not a fan of him. Also neutral although he does have moments I enjoyed, like when he visited tella Dreams or some moments as dante, i hope he grows on me in spectacular 👍

TF2 Mercs: Cooking HCs
all the mercs can cook, theyre all grown men ffs, but they're just better at certain things than the rest of them
this long as hell😭😭 good god, didnt expect it to be this long
first of all; Scout. Scout can absolutely cook, i personally think that a single mother who raised 7 sons is, first of all, a badass, and secondly, will not tolerate any of that "Women belong in the kitchen" bullshit, she taught her sons how to do basic life skills.
while, yeah, Scout can cook, he cooks breakfast foods best. sure, hes a little flinchy when the bacon starts poppin' but nothing he cant handle. He makes the best pancakes, toast, french toast, bacon, eggs, hell, the mercs don't get it but somehow even the way Scout makes cereal and milk in a bowl was better.
he doesnt measure either, he just eyeballs everything, which was one if the reasons he could bake for the life of him, no matter how many times his Ma and bros taught him. he makes killer milkshakes though.
Pyro!! idc idc hes a grown adult, hes not gonna burn anything, least of all the kitchen, he's too experienced with fire for such an imbecilic notion. Pyro's the best at making desserts, not really baking, he knows the basics, but not really his forte. Pyro made everyone's opinion on jell-o turn positive, theyre just that good. he can make flans, hard candy, ice cream, if its a dessert he can probably make it. everyone's favorite of his tho is caramel popcorn
Soldier usually either burns food or undercooks it but for some reason only when it's a shallow fry, he's great at deep frying and grilling, like hes super serious abt it, like he never lets whatever it is hes cooking out of his sight, he doesn't set up a timer or thermometer, its like he just knows when the food is fully cooked, he almost looks catatonic as he just stands there completely still watching the food cook but immediately starts yelling at his usual full volume when some tries to sneak in a bite of the food that IS finished cooking.
the demoman. most of Demo's food will usually have a very vague taste of alcohol in it, barely noticeable, the other mercs only realise it when they find out who cooked it. Demo's food always tastes great, unfortunately he can only make it once and he won't be able to recreate it, they're almost always just random ingredients that he somehow turns into a masterpiece.
although, there is one recipe he can make completely the same without fail, and it's his mum's favourite soup.
the engineer is the best at baking, with countless family recipes memorised and tweaked by his engineering prowess, it really is no competition. hes on par with Soldier in the grilling department, used to be a problem whenever they wanted to grill, and the two would butt heads, Heavy always put a stop to it before shit got too out of hand. at the end, it was Soldier who was the main griller, and Engie settled on making the casseroles and biscuits.
when it starts to get cold, everybody (ahemscoutahem) begs Heavy to make soup. While being in the mountains for 20ish years, Heavy found a lot of ways to make soup, from thin, brothy soups, to creamy, sticks-to-your lips soups. Fortunately, they dont have to beg for long since Heavy is always happy to cook his comfort foods for his friends, and while yes he does have to substitute most of the protein, the mercs dont see a problem with any of it, even though Heavy says it's not the same because it's not bear meat.
Medic can cook, it just so happens the only foods he can make without the aid of a written recipe are German dishes. He doesn't have much of a relationship with food, but can cook, but he does like to experiment which often gets tested out by either Pyro (bc he can stomach pretty much anything somehow), Sniper (bc Medic still wants to know if the food is edible and Pyro kinda doesn't count, and Sniper is the least picky with food), and Scout (this is mostly bc Sniper called him a pussy when he commented on the food)
Spy barely, very rarely will make food for the team, but if his ego was stroked enough he just might make a French dessert where he would pretty much blockade the kitchen bc French desserts are 'extremely fragile' hes exaggerating ofc, he just wants the kitchen to himself. while he does appear to be quite cold to the team, he does care for them and will, occasionally, not always, make them smth to eat when he notices smth amiss, he wont let them know its him (but they know, bc who else would elegantly plate smth as simple as frozen waffles?)
and finally Sniper. Sniper, if alone, would only eat what is necessary, not very picky either, has and will eat scorpions again if necessary. but whenever its his turn to cook for the team he always cooks family recipes, he has a box filled with index cards with his mum's handwriting, ranging from bread recipes, to a 3-day marinated beef stew. he usually just cooks the pasta soup and rice soups tho for stretchability of the dish

A little summary of how the fandoms of the various neighborhoods of The Sims 2 are like
(I would like to say that all the points listed were written for joking, it is not my intention to offend anyone, every neighborhood/fandom deserves love equally and I use stereotypes just for laughs.)
Pleasantview
You are probably a new player, you have only now discovered that you can also play outside the tutorial.
Your favorite family are the Burbs (for some reason) (Currently I discovered that only the Italian fandom is obsessed with the Burbs for some reason??)
You've been obsessed with Bella Goth and have been following her mystery for years. We are in 2024 and you are still looking for or making videos or posts with the title "I FINALLY DISCOVERED THE TRUTH ABOUT THE MYSTERY OF BELLA GOTH" (Spoiler: you didn't discover anything, your theory is full of nonsensical headcanons but you are convinced that it is canon)
Oooh, silly Don ☺️☺️
Dina and Nina are bad grill but they're so hot 😰😰💦💦 🥵🥵🥵
Talk about Bella 24 hours a day
Broke?? Dreamer?? Pleasant?? Who the f they are? D: (You only know the Goths, Calientes and Lotharios because you've only played The Sims 4 so far)
BRANDINAAAAAA (POWER TO WIDOWS!!!)
The only lore you know is that of Bella Goth.
Strangetown
You're a little more "cultured" as a player. You're here because you're passionate about Bella's story, but now you also love the lore of Strangetown and have enough knowledge about the lore of both neighborhoods.
Cactus and Aliens aesthetic.
Obsessed with PascNerv.
Joking about Loki face and piss jokes about Vidcund H24 (The only thing you talk about is that)
RIPP IS THE ONLY VICTIM, TANK IS A STUPID ASSHOLE!!! RIP RIPP 😭😭😭😭
Vidcund sexy man, his favorite color is yellow because he have a bladder problem.
Fans obsessed with Vidcund to the point that it turns a joke into something worrying with people actually fighting over a bunch of pixels with buck hair.
Loki and Circe do BDSM.
VERONAVILLE
The fandom has a large number of 11 members. Half of them are here just for the Tycutio.
They look indignantly at the PV & ST fandom, with a glass of wine in hand, they feel superior but they never knew anything about Shakespeare's works until now.
Ahaha Mercutio raccoon boy 🦝
Ahah Tybalt angry pussy 🐱
KENT IS OUR LORD
Everyone in Veronaville are LGBT+ except Romeo.
Ahahah Gnomeo!
Wait...what are you telling me it's Romeo & Juliet and not Mercutio & Tybalt??? Didn't Shakespeare write a gay tragedy???
Old men yaoi
Old women yuri
VIOLA EXISTS, FUCK YOU ALL, I HAVE A HUGE LIST OF COMPLETELY INVENTED DETAILS ABOUT HER THAT CERTIFY HER EXISTENCE. SHUT UP. NO ONE CAN ASSUME A GENDER FOR HAMLET. IF HAMLET WANTS TO FEEL LIKE AN AUNT AND NOT AN UNCLE YOU JUST HAVE TO STAY MUTE.
Antonio swears on his restaurant, his family and his cappuccino.

(disclaimer, this is coming from a heartstopper fan! i love heartstopper this is not hate!!)
i think at least part of the annoyance with heartstopper isn't just that isn't a light fluffy ya series, it's also that its another example of how the queer media that gets the most mainstream attention tends to be this kind of light fluffy ya stuff that focuses on two conventially attractive queer boys or men and it also tends to be written by people who aren't queer men on top of that, so not only can it feel very samey but it can feel like other queer people are relegated to side characters in the stories of cis gay men. and as someone who loves heartstopper i get that on some level.
btw by "written by people who aren't queer men" NOT saying that isn't not written by queer people. alice oseman is genderfluid and aroace, becky albertalli is bisexual, etc. and while i think the point is still valid there is a misogyny element in that a lot of the focus is put on things that are written by women or people they perceive as women while tumblr darlings like good omens and ofmd (written by presumably straight men) don't get the same treatment.
nah y'know what, that's fair, I can get how frustrating it can be for a lot of popular queer stories to feel samey, I've definitely gotten BL-fatigue in the past on platforms like WT and Tapas because many of them ARE the same and feel like they're just piggybacking off trends for the sake of clout (and this is a problem in the heterocis romance stories too, don't get me fucking started on how dark romance has turned into torture porn where vulnerable women are constantly being victimized by rich powerful men and we're just supposed to root for that ??), but it's one of those things where like, what might be seen as just more corny shit could very well be the revelation another person needs that they're gay / trans / etc. that the story helped them realize. there's just a point where i see these arguments against cheesy popular queer stories that teeter dangerously close to being queerphobic and, as you said, misogynist, simply because "it was written by someone who i perceive as a woman so that makes it BAD!"
and I didn't mention it in the original post because I didn't want to @ OP in any way but in the comment section they literally said "i dont think heartstopper itself is all that bad but it has pretty much aimed the direction of all mainstream gay comics towards wholesomeness instead of anything more interesting so i want to destroy heartstopper to destroy heartstopper clones" and that gives me massive ick because it implies their sole reasoning for including it was "chill and happy queer stories bad, if a character doesn't suffer enough then they're not interesting"?? why can't LGBTQ+ audiences have more 'vanilla' stories that aren't all sad and angsty all the time? are we not entitled to the same corny romcom vanilla shit that the heterocis are entitled to? why do LGBTQ+ characters - and by extension, people - have to suffer to qualify as being 'interesting'? You're already interesting, you're you! like i'm sorry, are we trying to scare people straight??? 😭 shit, that's even a plot point that's touched on in Heartstopper itself where Nick is questioning his sexuality and he starts googling shit and it's just ALL the terrifying news stories of queer kids being ostracized / bullied / murdered / etc. and as much as it's important to be aware of the ongoing issues so we can keep fighting for our rights, we ALSO need to find balance and remember to celebrate the stories that AREN'T that because we need something to be hopeful for, something we can find peace in. I don't think Heartstopper is some deeply profound piece of work, but it also doesn't seem like it's trying to be? It's a low stakes celebration of the LGBTQ+ experience that's very warm and comforting, especially for those who are the same ages as the main characters who are often being persuaded by the grown-ups around them that it's a death sentence to be gay / trans / etc.
and it's not like we HAVEN'T had popular pieces of queer representative media that explored things outside of cheesy BL, like are we forgetting about Nimona which explored both the gay and genderfluid experience in a very accessible and fun way while still being mature and not pandering to its audience over how society has made monsters out of queer people?
(and even then I'm sure there are folks who would argue "actually, here are the issues with Nimona" , and that's fine tbh, we can like media and appreciate what it brings to the table while also discussing what it lacks in, such as what we're doing now with Heartstopper! progress is a never-ending journey!!)
and also okay, not me trying to be argumentative in the slightest BUT I don't really get the argument that 'other queer people' are being sidelined for the main characters? unless there's something I'm missing here lol (I will apologize for that because it's admittedly been a while since I've re-read Heartstopper so I should probably go do that to refresh myself on it). like i say that in the sense that Heartstopper is clearly meant to be about two gay male teenagers. just like how Nimona is about a shapeshifter who is not a girl or a boy (they're Nimona!) and a gay man who are both trying to change the system that's other'd them for years for the better. that is the story Heartstopper is trying to tell and it achieves that. it also has a trans character plotline that I could see people arguing feels sidelined but I think there's a massive difference between 'sidelining' and just having a B plot ? my honest take with that is not every piece of representative media is going to be able to cover every single topic, it's just not doable for one piece of media to be a monolith for everything, the same as how one person can't be a monolith for an entire community of people. BUT that doesn't mean works like Heartstopper and Nimona can't inspire others to also lend their voices into the medium and create that representation that's needed. That's why we need ✨variety✨ and Heartstopper is part of that variety by offering a more vanilla cutesy story full of good vibes for people who want that sort of thing.
IDK, I think there's just a lot of nuance that's being missed in that poll, and in the difference between Heartstopper inspiring more people to write happy cozy BL stories vs. implying that it's had an actual negative influence on modern art and media in the same way that series like Homestuck and LO have to the point that people think it needs to be destroyed, like wtf LOL Like they're not even comparable IMO and a lot of the arguments I see people making about why it is just feel a little backwards, and those arguments obfuscate the real issue which is just "popular thing is popular and people like to piggyback off popular shit". That's a fact for basically any niche and genre, these trends come and go. Even if the whole cutesy BL trend passes one day (which it will) it'll be replaced by something else that people will also inevitably find samey and boring after a while. This is not a concept that's unique to LGBTQ+ media, it's universal.
Balance is important and I think finding that balance is as much a responsibility on the shoulders of the consumer as it is on the creator. And I don't think Heartstopper deserves to be put into the same camp as stories like LO which literally straightwashes its canonically queer characters and gives those queer identities to nothingburger characters who are easy to shoo out of the plot to make way for the heterocis ones (while still parading itself around like it's actually 'queer rep' which... it really isn't.) Like all three of the comics in that poll are vastly different, serving different audiences, with different goals and intentions. It's comparing apples to oranges to pineapples.
The worst Heartstopper has to offer is just a low stakes plot that might not appeal to everyone or feel 'samey' which yeah, valid, but in the grander sense of whether or not it's had a negative effect on queer media just for being... cheesy? And inspiring other people to write stories like it? I don't get the argument, it feels like it's severely missing the point of what we're fighting for here - to live happy little unbothered lives - but that's just me ╮( ̄ω ̄;)╭ I'm definitely not trying to be a dick about it in any way and I don't want anyone to think I'm not open to the opposing points here, I do agree with you on the oversaturation of samey BL stories, but it just rose some massive red flags to see Heartstopper next to frigging Homestuck and Lore Olympus LOL

From a true artist and writer like yourself what's your opinion:
Are steamy romance novels the socially acceptable version of being horny on main?
Nope! Honestly, there's not many socially acceptable ways of being horny on main, unless it's one of those male-gaze dominated conversations. It's kind of sad. You can put a girl in a bikini in a beer ad but if you drag a man's pants too low on television everybody screams 😅
(So, for background, I did a minor in critical sexuality research, I studied a lot of gender theory, queer theory, and psych to do a pretty big blend of research on the nature of sexuality in modern culture in the US. I'm also a librarian, but that's technically not an education in literary analysis so the benefits on that is sort of a wash here.)
The thing about romance novels is that you can publish them, they can be wildly popular, and they can be bestsellers that get awards and on lists and wild acclaim, and they will never be wholly accepted by larger culture. If you read the room when non-writer people talk about romance novels, the conclusions drawn are that 1) romance isn't "real" literature [and therefore has no artistic value], 2) only women like romance, 3) because only women like it, it isn't respectable, and 4) is has no artistic value, therefore it isn't significant to popular culture. These things may not necessarily be true, but the genre is carrying a lot of baggage culturally and no one outside of romance readers really cares to question that perception.
Which. Is very sad. Because this is literature with a lot to offer! Erotica is often very culturally charged with interests and fears of the time it was written! But no one wants to talk about it!!
But you see this sort of thing all the time; when women enter an industry in droves to the point where they start to outnumber the men, the overall pay for the position immediately goes down, and the job loses some of its public respectability. This happened with mortuary school graduates pretty recently, and it's a pretty common phenomenon in a few other industries; women get to cook, but men get to be professional chefs. Women can sew, or be dressmakers, but men are fashion designers and tailors. A man's pay is bumped up, but women are accepted as a natural part of the process. The band with a whole passel of male fans is exalted as music's next upcoming star, but when a band has a bunch of women as fans, they're just a fad. Etc. Etc etc etc.
The general consensus in the public eye is that romance novels are silly but entertaining garbage for women and have no cultural value. Romance novels aren't proper literature, so you can totally read all the smut you want on a train as long as it has a pink cover and no one will bat an eye, but... They're not, like...respected. Honestly, when it comes to being horny on main, most people don't even consciously think of women as having their own individual sex drives, and women are the main population who buy and consume romance books.
So, you could get away with it, but it's not...it's a little more complicated than that, politically. I think I overcomplicated my answer but this was my knee-jerk reaction sorry lol 😭

man, the 2020 thing is SO real, because 2020-21 was the last time that actual MARAUDERS were present in the marauders fandom, and not these random stranger characters that are nothing like them. that's why i'm also mentally, emotionally and creatively stuck there and will continue to be until things go back to normal. and don't get me started on how they treat jily, imagine hating them so viciously and universally? and after claiming to love them and having it as one of the top ships? how does one even flip feelings like that? that's why i don't believe their feelings, positive or negative, it's all fake bandwagoning for what's in season and trendy. the real lovers are in shipping fandoms. oh and if you ever decide to read another marauders fic, it's better to ask jily folks for recs, cause they have not only objectively amazing fics, but they're the last ones who still write them in character lmao
most of the hate i see is on tiktok from kids who think being gay automatically makes you more interesting but i digress. i think certain fics are fun to read if you pretend they’re ocs (cr for example imo) but then there are some popular fics that are blatantly misogynistic that i cannot deal with. i think the fandom has always had a problem with characterizing women correctly so i won’t pretend like 2020 was perfect either, but there were definitely things i liked about it more😭
like i’m not about to rant (nvm i did)
but i think everyone is way too rigid and have actually regressed, especially with wolfstar but not even the way most people interpret that statement. i think everyone has been put into boxes of tropes in the way somewhere like “booktok” has popularized the past year.
“best friend’s brother” ignoring the dynamic between the brothers and the best friend and how it wouldn’t make sense without tearing down core character traits
making half the death eaters punk or emo because of how the dark mark looks, ignoring that they are mainly privileged conservative characters with wealthy families
then there’s the girls who (but this has always been an issue) are shallow and based on aesthetics without following through on character traits. marlene likes red and partying, mary likes lipstick and dresses, dorcas is cool and wears green. okay! now what? why do the male characters only discovered in the last year have more character and things written about them than someone like narcissa? why are the men excused and made complex but the women so black and white in their choices? keep the same energy!
so really, without even getting into the jily of it all i’d say there are a lot of issues. you can interpret characters however you want, especially those with less canonical info about them, but i do miss when certain characters really felt like people and less like blank slates with tropes slapped on. but i will continue to live in my own bubble and silently rolling my eyes at bad characterization
#my asks#is it this serious? who knows#i didn’t even get into the side character lesbian couple curse#i won’t. not today.#marauders#the marauders#jily#wolfstar#james potter#lily evans#remus lupin#sirius black#marauders fandom critical

hi... it's me again ( ˙▿˙ )
I'm still reading the first part of your jjk fanfic (I'm starting chapter four), and after rereading the chapters I've got to the conclusion that your oc Michi might have been s*xually abused or had something happened in his past that relates to that. I think that because of this:
(from right to left)
Michi got quite defensive about how Geto empathised with the dead men from the love hotel, even though Geto never said anything bad about prostitutes in general. This showed to me that:
1) Geto can be empathic with anybody
2) Michi is empatic but selectively
I love this. I love this kind of dynamic!
BUT, what made me believe that Michi could have been abused or had to see a loved one getting abused (what would still cause him some kind of trauma: low self-esteem, for example)
Was when he was talking to Utahime and said that he felt more comfortable around women.
Since jjk does talk about misogyny and how in every misogynistic society tends to see women as weak / unreliable when there's strength / intelligence involved I believe it was very smart of you to write that Michi feels like a woman. Since he's weak, and that's a trait a misogynistic society would attribute to women, he feels like one, like a woman.
(Again, I might be reading too much into it since he grew surrounded by women, and he could just feel more comfortable around them)
But I feel like you went on another level here!
Showing once again how Michi, just like the rest of young sorcerers (Gojo, Geto and Utahime) are just victims of the Jujutsu world, which washed their brains into making Gojo believe that he's a tool and Michi, due to his weakness, he's relegated to the position of a weakling like Utahime, who both of them get mocked by the stronger sorcerers (Gojo and sometimes even Geto).
NOW, misogynistic society, the topics of sexual assault are discussed, and Michi reacts defensively about it. He feels more comfortable around women. He even feels like one at times!
Getting sexually assaulted is something that is quite associated with women in misogynistic societies where, if a man goes through that, he'll be mocked about it since "that only happens to women"
Since Michi is a victim of the Jujutsu world and Japanese misogynistic culture (and misogyny harms men too) I think it could be possible that he doesn't feel like a real man beacuse his surroundings made him believe so:
-> He's weak, that's something to be embarrassed as a man
-> And not only that, if I'm right, he had been sexually assaulted therefore is even lesser of a man compared to the rest
This is just a theory. I still need to read the rest (thankfully, it's already finished, and I don't have to wait for the next chapters 😭🙏)
But I wanted to let this out because I think it would be really good forshadowing for you oc!
Again, I could be wrong, so I'll go read the other chapters left and see how wrong i was haha :p
Thank you so much for the comment friend, your comments are so thoughtful and well-written. You've now unlocked the secret author commentary. I'll be responding to your asks one by one, I just had the most to say in response to this one.
Michi got quite defensive about how Geto empathised with the dead men from the love hotel, even though Geto never said anything bad about prostitutes in general. This showed to me that: 1) Geto can be empathic with anybody 2) Michi is empatic but selectively
Your observation is absolutely correct. Michi has absolutely no sympathy for abusers and sees them as inhuman and deserving what they get, which as a pacifist and humanist I personally disagree with. At that time too, Geto was struggling with his obligation to protect "the weak" which meant protecting everyone not just picking and choosing who to save. Michi is a bit, revenge obsessed, for a better word, they see themselves as someone who strikes back against abusers when they're really just a very traumatized child.
Michi is also deliberately there to contrast Geto, and Gojo, he's also a bit of a halfway point between the two of them. Gojo has like no empathy for weak people because he can't connect to them. Geto has empathy for everyone, to the point where it eventually drives him insane and tears him apart inside and almost empties it out until there's nothing left. He's so filled with emotions that Gojo doesn't even understand how someone like him can live in this world. And that's the rub, he can't, Geto can't live in this world and be happy.
Michi is alienated from everyone around him due to his past trauma. He experiences the same disconnect as Gojo, but almost for entirely different reasons. Gojo because he feels above everyone, and Michi because he feels beneath everyone. While Michi is also capable of feeling a deep empathy, but only for victims. Michi is also full to bursting with feelings like Geto, but unlike Geto who can be warm and comforting for people like Gojo, Michi is filled with mostly hurt feelings.
BUT, what made me believe that Michi could have been abused or had to see a loved one getting abused (what would still cause him some kind of trauma: low self-esteem, for example) Was when he was talking to Utahime and said that he felt more comfortable around women.
Okay, so this is only ever implied in the fics but I'm just going to confirm it here in my author's notes since you are right.
The backstory in my head is that Michi basically ran away from the Gojo clan after his mother died, and he basically lived in the streets and was picked up by a man who offered him a place to stay for his body. He probably went through a few men like this before landing with someone who at least seemed stable even if he was still abusive. Michi stayed in that bad relationship for several years and only left it, when he was invited back to Jujutsu Academy, and he only became a sorcerer to gain money to free himself from an abusive relationship.
It's extremely graphic so it's never going to be explored in the fics.
nce jjk does talk about misogyny and how in every misogynistic society tends to see women as weak / unreliable when there's strength / intelligence involved I believe it was very smart of you to write that Michi feels like a woman. Since he's weak, and that's a trait a misogynistic society would attribute to women, he feels like one, like a woman. (Again, I might be reading too much into it since he grew surrounded by women, and he could just feel more comfortable around them)
You are close, I'll also cover this in the author's notes since I don't like having characters explain their gender by looking at the screen and saying "this is how I feel about gender."
You are right in that Michi feels like a woman and he feels deep empathy for women because of the way women are treated like property, used and discarded by a misogynist society. Michi essentially, identified so heavily with his mother, with her pain, that he felt more like a woman than a man.
However, even though Michi empathizes with the pain of women to the point where he became a woman, he also finds strength in being a woman. Gojo's idea of being strong is being someone untouchable who is never hurt and never loses. Michi's idea of being strong is being someone who can endure everything, and still love. Michi's mother was her greatest protector for the first ten or so years of her life, she associates her mother with safety and so her becoming a woman is also like putting on armor.
Getting sexually assaulted is something that is quite associated with women in misogynistic societies where, if a man goes through that, he'll be mocked about it since "that only happens to women" Since Michi is a victim of the Jujutsu world and Japanese misogynistic culture (and misogyny harms men too) I think it could be possible that he doesn't feel like a real man beacuse his surroundings made him believe so: -> He's weak, that's something to be embarrassed as a man -> And not only that, if I'm right, he had been sexually assaulted therefore is even lesser of a man compared to the rest
This is a really excellent observation again. You're a good reader. I hope you don't mind if I add onto it.
A big thing with Michi's character is that yes men aren't seen as sexual assault victims. So, characters like Utahime and Gojo would lecture Michi for being weak but they wouldn't guess that Michi was a sexual assault victim in like a hundred years so they come off as ignorant. Michi also doesn't meet the standard definition of a sexual assault victim. He doesn't act like victims are supposed to act. He doesn't go cry in the corner.
Geto on the other hand at least understands that there's something wrong with Michi and starts paying close attention to him, because Geto is the opposite of most people in the Jujutsu World. He wants to empathize with weak people. He's the only one who cares for Michi's point of view and this becomes more obvious as the fanfic goes on.
Michi is a man, and a woman. They are what you'd call x-gender.
Of course, he doesn't really feel like a man or a woman either. To Michi gender is a costume he wears to protect himself. Gender is a performance. He becomes a woman, and it's like wearing armor. That's just Michi's unique view on gender though I'm not speaking for all people.
Michi definitely leans more towards being a woman than a man. It is in part, because when she was victimized, she was victimized by a male predator who saw them as a man. On the other hand, it's less that he feels like he's too weak to be a man, but rather he sees masculinity as something inherently toxic and doesn't want to be like that.
That's not true of course that's just how Michi sees it as someone who was thoroughly abused by a man. This is also to contrast with Gojo, who despite being as queer as Michi and in love with a man basically perfectly embodies the straight cis male paradigm that's held up as the gold standard of Jujutsu Society.
I do think Michi feels lesser compared to other people because he was assaulted, but it's less that he feels lesser as a man but more like he feels lesser as a human being because he's been so thoroughly dehumanized. People have treated him as lesser too, either by blaming him for being too weak to fight back his abusers, or just ignoring his pain entirely.
If Michi doesn't feel like a man, it's because he doesn't even feel human so he doesn't feel like a man or a woman, and if he's dressing or acting like a man or a woman in the moment that's more like a costume. It's very hard for him to feel natural in his own skin "to be a man".
Thank you for sending me your wonderful thoughts, I'm working on responses to your other comments as we speak.

"Fun" (actually fucked up as fuck) fact that someone pointed out to me a while ago: Miles Morales is currently the only Black superhero in a romantic relationship with another Black character in mainstream comics.
How many Black love interests has Peter Parker/Spider-man had? Zero. Steve Rogers/Captain America? Zero. Wolverine? One - Storm from X-men. Tony Stark/Iron-Man? Zero. Marvel/DC has their white characters all mainly date other white people, but almost always has Black characters with non-black love interests.
T'Challa/Black Panther is one Black character who mainly dates Black women. I'm pretty sure the only reason why is because making the king of Wakanda not date Black women would be too suspect. His most well-known and longest relationship was with Storm who he was married to for second, but they're no longer together for some random reason and T'Challa has been single since, so it's literally only Miles/Spider-man and Tiana/Starling left…das it.
It's fucked that even ONE Black couple in a serious relationship is one to many for Ghostflower stans. They want the rare Black girl character being loved up on to be booted out to make way for yet another white one because if there's one thing media doesn't have enough of it's white girl and white women protagonists being centered or fawned over. Sure.
Obviously, interracial relationships are fine. But Marvel/DC definitely seems to have an aversion to portraying Black men and Black women together in love. There were racists who hated Storm and T'Challa together too by the way, I think it might be because a popular superhero Black couple could lead to more undeniably Black popular superhero children, and they do no want that.
So now another "fun" fact, the non-black writer for the comic Spider-man Reign 2, Kaare Andrews, is also the main artist for it. Spider-man Reign 2 is not Miles' main comicbook, his main comicbook is currently written by Cody Ziglar, who is doing a pretty brilliant job writing Miles. The plot for Spider-man Reign 2 is not worth summarizing in detail, it's a very horribly written au focusing on a dystopian world with an old Peter. Miles for some reason, was dragged into this mess as a guest star. In the latest issue, Kaare Andrews made the creative decision to strongly imply visually that Miles and Gwen were in a relationship - Gwen isn't mentioned by name - and had a child together, and then he proceeded to draw that child as *white* as possible. If you're wondering what kind of writer Kaare Andrews is, in the original Spider-man Reign comics that he created and wrote he had M.J. die of cancer by making Peter have radioactive sperm that M.J. was exposed to whenever they had sex. That last sentence is not made up or an exaggeration.
Hooooo boy this is a lot of loaded information, thanks for sending it in!
The conversation of diversity is always so frustrating with people who just don’t want to see it. Like as a white person, are you not bored only seeing white people in your media??? Don’t you want your media to reflect real life??? Which is really really diverse??? Rhetorical question, I know, because as I have said before, racists cannot think critically about the media consume.
It’s such a shame, because it’s not like its ghostflower shippers fault at the lack of diverse romance, all they do is like the ship that the ATSV writers fed to them. Except of course for the overtly racist ghostflower shippers, who throw a hissyfit at the idea of anyone but especially anyone POC being shipped with Miles. You just hate to see it :(
As for the last part, I do think I recall hearing about the radioactive sperm thing before at some point, what is bro on 😭 marvel should let me be a writer fr (i would be so bad at it i can barely write action and villains to save my life, but my characters are so cool and diverse and deep and itd be really really really funny i promise /j /lh /silly)
Sorry I didn’t have quite as much to say on this ask like I typically do, always love hearing thoughts from anons and sharing them with my followers though! Thanks bunches for sending this one in! I hope you have a nice little sweet treat today, whatever you’re most into👍

is it weird that i feel like damon albarn understands my lesbian experience better than any of the it girl queer woman musicians right now do? like to me no distance left to run by blur is a more relatable break up song than anything chappell roan has ever made… am i a bad lesbian for preferring music written by straight men about relationship hardships to that written by actual gay women like renee rap/chappell roan/boygenius?? help 😭
hmmm i understand what you're getting at but i think it's important to be mindful of language and the difference between the artist vs. the art. Relating more to a blur song doesn't mean Damon understands the lesbian experience more than an actual lesbian, it probably just means he captured a universal emotion in a way that resonated more with you. I feel the same with a lot of songs made by straight men but I personally try to remember that just because I found meaning in it, that doesn't equate to actual intent. Damon Albarn didn't write a lesbian song because he's not a lesbian. Chappell Roan did because she is a lesbian. I don't personally like any of the music by renee rap/chappell roan/boygenius, but they are absolutely writing about experiences gay women go through. that doesn't automatically mean they're experiences this (me) gay woman goes through and that's okay. I think there is a discussion to be had over the fact straight men musicians have been given over a century of free reign to talk about their relationships with women openly, and we are only on like year 10 of the world being okay with gay women in pop culture lol
#i think in general you do not have to stress about it LOL#no one gets on gay men for obsessing over pop divas.#it's not like anyone is telling them they need to be listening to gay men musicians or else they are a bad gay

Cowboy Carter Review
sorry if i write a lot. i like to yap lol
Ameriican Requiem- i'm a huge sucker for a sitar so i was gripped in from the beginning. i grew up on country music (mainly 90s/early 2000s) and so when she showed up at the CMAs and performed with the chicks it was a childhood dream. but as a person who liked country music around the time 9/11 happened, it's only become even more racist since. the way they treated her that night even though she was one of, if not THE, best performer of the night was so upsetting to watch. even as the best artist on the planet, at the top of her game, she's always going to work a million times harder than any of her peers. i'm so proud of her being able to make a song like to this to put her thoughts out on the whole night that night.
Blackbiird- obviously everyone has heard this song before. i was unaware of the actual backstory to the song since i don't follow the beatles too much (i like george harrison but that's about it lol). i was not aware that the song the song was written for black women during the civil rights movement. i assumed the song was mainly written by john lennon who to my knowledge was kind of a grifter when it came to his activism. having this song come right after ameriican requiem is so poetic.
16 Carriages- shockingly i was able to avoid hearing this song in full until tonight. i tend to only do one single per release and so texas hold em was the one. this song is so heartbreaking because i think about all the kids in the entertainment industry who can probably relate to this song all too well
Protector- these songs she makes for her kids... i'm gonna need her to stop. not because they're bad but i straight up can't listen to blue and probably this song because i want a mom like this 😭
My Rose- i hate that this is an interlude. it's so beautiful and not to be dramatic should've been 10 hours long
Smoke Hour • Willie Nelson- idk what to say about this one lol
Texas Hold 'Em- i love this song. the only problem i have with it is it sounds too clean. like the production sounds too clean. maybe it sounds better on the radio where the quality is lower than streaming but its definitely a song that needs to be played not so isolated.
Bodyguard- there's something in this song. she channeled carole king for this on or something. it's so good instantly a top 20 if not top 10 song of hers through her whole discography.
Dolly P- once again idk what to say about this one its too short to say anything
Jolene- i mean i think the same way about her version as i do about dolly's version. why are we getting mad at these women when we should be getting mad at the men?? take away that beyonce is beyonce for a second. if she was a normal lady and this girl was unaware her man was taken, isn't that more on him than anyone? he's letting it happen.
Daughter- her voice in this song is insanity. the control she has is unmatched truly.
Spaghettii- the beat omgggg. i know this would hit so hard in a mashup with "my house" i'm obsessed.
Alliigator Tears- just from hearing snippets of the country music that's on the radio nowadays, i think this might be one of the few songs from this album that they will eat up. i'm not saying that as a diss at all. i love this song alot especially after a second listen.
Smoke Hour II- i guess i can add on here a random tid bit. i made a country playlist in preperation for the album to come out. i made it on valentine's day. tell me why i named it KNTRY. i didn't even know the "radio station" she has on the album was called that lol.
Just for Fun- i don't listen to lana del rey anymore. i had a small time during last year where i did but then she got real messy again and signed that letter thanking joe biden. that being said this song sounds identical to "norman fucking rockwell". which is a compliment because both are good songs. keep jack antonoff away from beyonce though. that's the good thing about beyonce is she doesn't sound like everyone else which he makes everyone do (yes i am a fan of him but i'm critical of his production lol)
II Most Wanted- i'm sorry i've never been a fan of miley cyrus (except for the song she did for black mirror and that one EP she put out). i want to like this song because i like aspects of the song but it being a miley cyrus song with a beyonce feature is not want i want.
Levii's Jeans- this is also a collab i'm not a fan of. i actually enjoy post malone but i would've liked to see them in a more upbeat song.
Flamenco- idk how to take this song. it's stunning as usual. my thoughts on the lyrics though is she's kinda talking to fans maybe like the OG like destiny's child fans who have started to leave because she's starting to experiment more with her sound and they miss her old sound. i would love to know her take on this song in particular. because i know so many artists who decide to change their sound throughout each release are terrified of losing fans because they're so stuck on a certain sound.
The Linda Martell Show- another one i can't say much on since it's an interlude
Ya Ya- now.... remember what i said about bodyguard??? easily top 10. idk where on my ranking but it's there. the interpolation of "these boots were made for walking" and "good vibrations". there's something about that old soul rock sound that gets me every single time. i know that it doesn't sound anything alike but "freedom" has that same vibe, where it takes alot from old 60s blues soul rock. this is gonna hit so good on tour!
Oh Louisiana- i will say i really like this interlude. second favorite out of the ones with actual music
Desert Eagle- another song she chose to make extremely short when it should've been hours long... come on B
Riiverdance- its a fun and cute song. i think the beat is good but i think i like it more on my first listen.
II Hands II Heaven- i'm hoping this will finally click for me. im seeing everyone really love this song but idk whats not clicking for me. i'll definitely keep listening to it though maybe someday.
Tyrant- someone said this is the thique of cowboy carter and yeah i can definitely hear it. it's a sexy song and it's a fun song. definitely like it alot more after a second listen
Sweet • Honey • Buckiin'- her sampling "i fall to pieces" in this song is so special to me. i do want someone to take this "honey" and add it to the end of pure/honey though i wonder if it would sound any good. i think sweet and buckiin are the best songs out of the three of these.
Amen- i love how this really rounds out the album, calling back to the first song. it feels and is a very emotional song. don't know if i'll go back to it only because i think it could make me cry lol
overall, i think it's a solid album. if we're comparing the acts, which idk how you can because they're two distinctly different sounds, i would probably still go with renaissance but there's still so many solid songs on this album that are now some of my top faves. usually i rate out of 10 but it feels too low tbh, so i'm rating it out of 100. it will definitely grow on me just like renaissance did. 89/100.

Not stans saying stop comparing Sjm who writes MaStErPiECeS to stupid ass CoHo who only writes toxic relationship
What masterpieces 😭😭😭😭 point me in that direction pls 🥹🥹🥹🥹
Both CoHo and Sjm gained popularity by aiming their badly written toxic books to underage children. Both gained popularity because of the brainless twats on booktok who only read "for the aesthetic" both write toxic TOXIC and abusive relationships and glorify men who shud be behind bars as HAWT AND SAINTLY name one and I mean ONE Sjm or Coho male who isn't toxic as fuck who doesn't have a single red flag and I'll go touch some grass. Tryna be "woke" and writing for publicity is why they got popular in the first place (except for the selling porn to children thing) I can assure u both of them are horrible authors
Idk much about CoHo books cause yuck but what I do know is 19 y/o fcking a 16 y/o; saying the wrong name in bed; cheating on ur bedridden wife; wanting to push the girl down on floor to keep her from leaving; etc etc and then?? BOOM! past trauma makes it justified and the actual Main Character does the mental gymnastics to manipulate even the reader into thinking the Love Interest is the BEST BOYFRIEND IN THE WHORLD. Sound a little familiar?
Rhys sexually assaulted his soulmate. Enters into her mind tells the room her personal thoughts threatens to crack her mind? He murders ppl and throws a head into ur backyard for fun?? Hides information about his wife's pregnancy that cud KILL HER?! And that's not even all of it
Rowan PHYSICALLY abuses Aelin. NO SHUT UP OKAY HE COMPARES HER TO HIS DEAD WIFE AND SAYS YEH NO AELIN IS TOTALLY MY TYPE AND SHE WASN'T?!?!?!?!?
B-but he has trauma 🥺🥺🥺🥺
So what? That's supposed to completely justify the trauma he's caused the main character???
The way these authors have no respect for their own main character??? They're just a mouth piece for them to admire the Male Character. They have no agency. Their entire validation comes from the male love interest?? And uk what u want to write dark romance?? Be my guest?? Write dark romances idc but admit that it's a toxic relationship admit and tell ur readers that NO this is not what u shud look for irl but for God's sake STOP glorifying abusive men and toxic relationships and marketing it to young women

OMG Your Highness Fugo canonically wears a thong!! i can't believe it nbjdukjdsnf i just read it and was like huh? 😭 i searched it and it is truee
Pannacotta wearing a thong has always made total sense to me for his character, and for his design. You don’t wear cut-outs riiiiight below your belt and wear briefs with them, you’d be showing the world whatever pattern you chose this morning.
What about the rest of Team Bucciarati's underwear, though?
I’m very big on ‘fem Giorno is canon and the cast just doesn’t realize it,’ although I’ve only publicly written for masc Giorno, which is a shame. Giorno is the type of girl whose bra always matches her underwear, she normally buys sets or pairs that match her bras. Her bras are wired, without padding, lord knows she doesn't need it. (DIO's genes wouldn't allow for a small chest, even if Giorno's ballet experience has made her thin, they're still There, just not absurdly big either.) The patterns are usually- you guessed it- roses and solid pale pinks or whites. Her underwear is just as ornate and delicate as you’d think- tons of lace, lots of bows, and a feeling like you're about to sell your soul if you remove them.
You can see the band of Guido's underwear when he stretches. He normally alternates between boxers and tight fitting trunks. Guido is the type of guy to be in absolute heaven if his fem darling were to give him her underwear- he'd wear them. It's like a special secret, and you're touching, even if it's not direct.... He's such a simple man. Guido normally buys high end clothes (my source is the very same interview that this anon cited, but I can link it as necessary), his philosophy naturally extends to his underwear. As for patterns, solid grey and black are fine, but he likes a little animal print too.
Trish is a victoria’s secret kinda girl, although she has some dolce & gabbana lingerie that she deeply treasures, and often wears as regular tops. Either Trish canonically wears push up bras, or Guido mistook her sizing whatever other bra she had on down for a push up, because of the tightness. Guido is not a reliable source, but I'm going to say that she likes push up bras because it's a very classic victoria's secret choice. As for her underwear, she probably favors bikini cuts or brazilians. She likes animal prints, stripes, and underwear with words on it. A pair with 'EAT ME' on the front is her favorite.
Narancia wears loose, non-clingy trunks. He gets upset if you tease him for wearing 'short' underwear, but doesn't exactly stop. Narancia likes breathable underwear, which is ironic, considering he prefers his tops to be tight fitting. He likes silly patterns, but he doesn't realize it doesn't come off as super mature. His favorite is a pair with cookies and crumbs on it. Narancia isn't the type to hand wash his delicates, he just throws them into the wash regardless of their material.
Leone either wears clingy trunks or trunk briefs. I'm not sure if that's the proper name for it, but I mean the one that looks like women's hipsters. He's fond of compression underwear, just without padding. He's got too much pride for padding, and doesn't really need it. Leone likes a little bit of lace on his hips, but finds it annoying to have them on his legs. Most of his underwear is pure black, but some of them have white lace instead. A few pairs have veeeery small ribbons on them in the front, with little charms on it. Yes, the charms are normally a small, metal 'A.'
Bruno is the type to switch between women's lingerie and very basic men's boxer briefs, depending on what he's going to do that day. For the women's lingerie, he likely prefers cheeky underwear or just thongs, as long as they're similar to the tattoo on his chest. For the boxer briefs, he prefers clingy types that go to his mid thigh. He wears the thongs significantly more than the boxer briefs.

I am so down bad for Risotto to the point I would let him do whatever he wants with me
I cannot resist big titty goth men who can break my spine with ease (I have a type 😭)
If he was genderbent I would fold SO fast it’s not even funny, especially if Risotto looks identical to how he is as a man in height, mass and build (But slightly leaner and her breasts are just huge) she could suffocate me between them and I would tell her ‘Thank You’ 😂
Yandere Vampire Countess or Count Risotto haunts me in my dreams
Darling is a foreigner looking for work and takes up working for the Villages’ Count of this land as a his newest servant (Gaining Risotto’s obsession as the scent of her blood told him all he needed to know, she’s his Soulmate)
Risotto stalks Darling while she sleeps, visiting her in her sleep, groping, touching and leaving bites all over Darling’s body, whispering all the dirty things he plans to do to his ‘Little Bride’ in her ear and plans to keep her locked away within his castle for eternity (No one dares go against Count Nero, the villagers are too fearful of the evil and cruel Count who’s rumored to devour young virgin women and dabbles in the dark arts in magic) he’s not against keeping Darling dizzy and delirious drinking her blood on a basis (Not enough to kill, but enough to give Darling a hard time to move around)
Risotto keeps Darling within his bed chambers, and used his hypnotism to make Darling believe she’s engaged to him as his wife and that she’s very frail, sickly and needs his help to move around as her legs don’t work properly (Risotto broke Darling’s legs after she tried to run, but altered her memory into thinking she had an accident falling down stairs and broke her legs)
I'm going feral please, you have no idea of the primal scream that left my mouth reading this. Why must you make me choose.
Doing fem because I need more to write more wlw (I'm starving for more).
Made me think of this meme btw
Vampire fem!Risotto
Darling is an aspiring novelist and has been going to mysterious places in hopes of finding the inspiration for a page turning tale, so she goes hitch hiking around Europe and ends up in a strange small town only to find her purse has been stolen. She's stuck in this town where she can barely communicate with the locals. So when she finds an advertisement written in English She's hopeful. It's a maid position at the castle just out of town with accommodation. It's like everything has worked out for darling.
When darling arrives she's met by a tall woman, practically chiseled by angels. Short white hair, jet black sclera and ruby eyes. All dress elegantly in a low cut white blouse and black dress pants. She could have been a model if she wanted to.
"sei qui per la posizione?" She asks.
"I'm here for the position" you tell her.
"Forgive me, it's not often I get people around" she apologizes in a stern tone.
"Come inside, then we shall discuss the job" she told you as she held the door open for you. Little did darling know her fate was sealed. Countess Nero had her fair share of prey, only a few months ago did she have a group of hitch hikers working for her, fun to mess with but eventually they had served they're purposes.
Darling however was different, she could tell there was something more too her. So of course she'd give her the position (even if she was not good at cooking and cleaning).
Risotto always has her eyes on darling while she works. Even offering darling to eat with her. Eventually she decides to check in on her sleeping. Sleeping so serene in a pretty little nightgown. All too tantalizing to the countess.
Her hands graze upon her, then they squeeze. She doesn't care if darling woke up as she'd just use her powers to make her forget or believe it was a dream. Soon she's got darling held in her arms biting into her upper breast. Such a rich, full bodied flavor, comparably to a vintage cabernet sauvignon. She's hooked.
Darling starts noticing strange things, not enough to concern her but enough that she notes it down. Strange redish marks, weird sounds at night. In town when she goes shopping people try to avoid her. Darling hasn't turned yet.
One night she does wake up.
"My little bride, when the blood moon comes you shall finally be mine for eternity" she hears a muttered voice speak as a hand strokes her face.
Darling tries to get up but is pushed back into the bed by Risotto.
"You don't need to go anywhere" she tells darling before trying to influence her to back to sleep but it somehow doesn't work (maybe a heirloom in the form of a pendant that is able to stop her influence).
Daring is able to catch Risotto off guard and run out of the room. She attempts to escape but loses her footing down the stairs and hurts herself horribly.
"You shouldn't have run, I just want you here with me for eternity" the countess says as she walks towards darling.
"Why?!" Darling asks.
"Because I love you, surely you feel the same too" she told her. In truth darling had a crush but believed she was far out of the countess's league.
She eventually figures out the pendant is what is affecting her influence and tears it off before putting darling to sleep. Something this traumatic can't just be played of as a dream or forgotten, so she decides to reframe that memory as a horrible accident as well as altering a few more to make darling a little more affectionate. Heals her up too.
When darling wakes up she's there to explain what happened. White the memory changes darling believes they're engaged. Risotto even managed to find a pretty platinum and sapphire ring to slip on her finger before she woke up.
Everything is good but something feels of to darling. Risotto is making arrangements as the blood moon approaches. Darling ends up discovering her notebook and starts questioning what's going on before remembering. She turns to immediately be confronted by Risotto who snatches the notebook, it crumbles to cinders in her grasp.
"If I had known about that I would have destroyed that sooner" she scowls. Darling tries to escape again. Risotto now pissed goes for the initiative and is able to capture her.
"I give you two options, you can agree to marry me or I shall force you" she hisses.
"If I can remember now then I can do it again! I refuse to marry you!"
"Then you shall face the consequences of your decision" she says before breaking her legs.
"All I need is to bide my time til the blood moon, then you shall be bound to me forever" she continued before putting her asleep and tampering with her memories again.
Once again darling wakes up and Risotto explains that darling was in a horrible accident and that their wedding is in a few days now.

New leasebound update :3
OK so sheesh a lot to unpack here ok ? Bear with me pookies
First meriam clearly favorise women wich in her case trauma n all is comprehensible , if it was right after or some years after . But now we are well 10+ years after the events , it's sad to see that rusty is twisting once again a good story line that could work in so many ways if she wasn't desperate to make meriam seem like the perfect mother that dared to make the mistake of loving a man .
Now onto "you don't need to date a man" Rissa is right , neither does shez . By that logic nobody "need" dating (wich is untrue , humans are a very social kind and being blocked from accessing our social needs is actually traumatizing , hence why homophobia is such a traumatizing thing , as well as transphobia , being denied your identity and made to believe you're someone you're not is also very harmful , I invite everyone to do their own researches on humans social needs it's truly interesting) so here not only does meriam keep her daughter from her validation wich is something very important for her she ask her to not meet her social needs because 1 (2 men if we count the first husband) hurt her ??? It's incredible hypocritical and mean but still it could've been such an interesting plot to explore but rusty keep twisting it as "meriam can do no wrong"
Aaah there it is , rusty believe that pregnancy should no longer exist (she's a very vocal anti natalist( because it feed into women needing men wich is fucking stupid , as a society we need each other we are social being we need diversity at the point where we are in our evolution .
Erm what the flip rusty ??? Do you not know that abortion and contraceptives exist ??? My theory from what we know about rusty is that she might believe contraceptives are women ways to keep sleeping with men without feeling bad about it ? And to feel powerful by giving into patriarchy ? But it's only my opinion take this lightly
Meriam you are exactly saying this , you are praising your lesbian daughter over you straight ones , you keep denying them of the support they need while feeding into shez an overwhelming amount . Plus you ask your daughter to be celibate to avoid any pain , that's not how it works . The more you will deny someone of something they need the more they will grow for it.
Urgh please end me atp it's just fucking reverse homophobia 😭😭 like we get it rusty you hate the straighties that aren't celibate or don't fuck girls .
Ffs not meriam guiltripping Rissa as well "you'll always have a home" a home where only shez has the spotlight ??? A home where rocky can feed into that light because she's celibate ??? A house so toxic and competitive to get their mothers attention they can't even compare to the all mighty shez ? A home where they're treated like dumb girls not listening to their mother??? It's giving rapunzel af
How HOW why is it turned onto meriam ??? Can they understand not everything has to be about HER ?? Her experience isn't an universal one , none is , everyone is so fucking different. No meriam wasn't too stupid , she was scared left alone and needed support and affection , so does Rissa, she need her social needs met .
Ffs , how is dating risking ones life ?? We get it meriam you're traumatized , but if you're so worried warn your daughter and help them notice the red flags if they appear . Your experience shouldn't conditionate your daughters lives
OH MY GOSH YES SLAY RISSA she finally fucking said it 😭😭 They all need therapy asap fr
Urgh more guiltripping , it's honestly very sad to see yet again how meriam , the mother , wasn't ready to die for her daughters but instead parentified her eldest to the point she was on thr verge of making the ultimate sacrifice because of meriam unwillingness to take on her role as a parent and instead acted as the one needing to be saved . It's sickening and yet if it was well written to show meriams flaw God it would be an insane plot line to demonstrate how complex relationships can become under abuse . But no , yet again it's made to romanticize, play in power fantasy and glorify the lesbian daughter and the bi mother she saved (maybe to demonstrate that lesbian need to save bisexuals from their attraction to men ?..)
She keep making shez the only priority. She parentifies shez to the prize of being her most important daughter/person as a whole . It's gross and disgusting because here it's glamorized to further the fantasy of saving someone and then being seen as their most important person as a reward . It's to the point where I'm wondering , did rusty dreamed of saving her mother ? Did she have a similar conversation and wished she was the one being important. I somewhat can relate to the deep desire of finally being seen and loved as equally as their sibling as you've been parentified . Even tho for me it happened under real trauma and not that disgusting excuse of a trauma depiction. Because rusty did admit to incorporate real stuff that happened to her in her life so I'm truly curious about it all .
As a whole this page was a gross excuse of either making meriam the hero into finally recognizing her daughter shez as the hero she is , the growth of the power fantasy rusty wrote for the other radfems/terfs that most likely want to romanticize others trauma as a power fantasy to enhance "women power n strength" , or this panel is a representation of something that happened to rusty at some point and wanted to express but twisted so this time she was the hero .

i think nettles is going to be replaced by rhaena, bc its gonna take a few seasons for her to have a significant role and they just want to give the poor girl a side plot for some time 😭😭
also ngl been kinda hating thia season, it has GOT s2 energy, it's kind of boring and it doesn't interest me as much
This season has been very drawn out and repetitive for sure which is disappointing cause we left S1 strongly and then after episode 1 of this season it's been the same thing over and over again.
Gonna do some spoilers real quick (including some book spoilers)
Rhaenyra left episode 1 of this season pissed off and wanting Aemond's death and then after her reunion with Jace all her anger?? evaporated?? Yes, she was exhausted and grieving in the last ep of S1 and first ep of S2 but?? It's like she just stopped grieving and being angry??
It feels like she's been reduced to one of the two types of Strong Female Lead written by a man. One of the types is the sexy cool girl who doesn't need no man but still gets saved by a man and has sassy one liners, the second type is the perfect rational woman who has no flaws or bad traits. Rhaenyra is currently the second type and it's annoying because it also fits the rest of the woman (apart from maybe Alys and Alicent).
The men thus far have been allowed to make mistakes, stick their foot in their mouths, be loud and angry and bitter, have complex personalities and arcs while the woman have been reduced to always rational and practical.
Helaena 'accepted' her son's death when she's supposed to be going mad with grief, Rhaenyra is no longer angry when her son was literally murdered, half of Alicent's scenes revolve around Cole, most of Rhaenys scenes pre-battle were just telling people to shut up, Baela and Rhaena are hardly on screen.
All Rhaenyras done these past eps have been dip out of Dragonstone and get dismissed by her council over and over and over again. Literally since she got back it's the same 'oh these men are sexist and won't listen to her' again and again. We could've been seeing her make rash decisions fueled by anger and then regretting them later. We could've seen her realize her anger needed simmering only for it to resurface after witnessing Ser Erryk's death by having Rhaenys fly out to meet Cole and avenge him as well as protecting Rooks Nest.
Just because Rhaenyra is the main protagonist doesn't mean she has to be absolutely perfect and reasonable. Character flaws and negative traits is what made GoT's characters and story compelling. It's what actually makes the Greens interesting. Ryan obviously considers them the big bad villains and as such they have noticeable flaws which makes them fun to watch. The Blacks are noticeably more boring because they lack those bigger flaws.
It's a frequent thing with men writing about women. It feels like they're so nervous and uncomfortable with potentially being called a misogynist that they unintentionally end up creating/using sexist tropes. It's fine for women to be rebellious and angry and bitter and resentful. It's fine for them to be submissive and gentle and motherly. It's fine for them to change over time and to appropriately react to certain things. This fandom also forgets that in their treatment of Rhaenyra and Alicent depending on which side they're on.
Anyways I'm actually annoyed about Nettles 😭 she was the ONLY woman of color in the book and her existence and closeness to Daemon pushed Rhaenyra further into her own downfall and now what? They're going to make her paranoid over an actual father-daughter duo?
I get Rhaena was underused and hardly involved in the battle (since she was more like young Sansa in the book. Not a bad thing at all tbh it might've even been nice if Team Black had a less 'i want to fight' character. You very rarely see poc characters in period era dramas be allowed to have those arcs/personalities without some sort of trauma or mistreatment) but if anything, they could've had her helping Nettles claim Sheepstealer. They could've had them becoming good friends and potentially even doing a call back to the og Rhaena Targ who had a female lover since they've already implied the eggs given to Rhaena are Danys eggs. There were a billion plots to go with and they went with the most simple generic one when there aren't supposed to be any dragons in the Vale. I see why George decided not to be involved anymore.
#bumbleanswers#idk i liked changes like Alicent and Rhaenyra being childhood friends cause the evil older stepmother trope is overdone#changes like that are fine cause they add complexity to characters#but other changes are very eh#but ultimately#this shows BIGGEST mistake was encouraging people to take a side#this fandom has honestly shown that critical thinking and empathy is rare while hypocrisy is a rampant thing 💀#house of the dragon
