Usually I'm not the biggest fan of memory loss AUs but the thought of Big Mom forcing/manipulating Pudding into erasing Sanji's memories of the crew and editing them to make him believe he wants to be a Vinsmoke... Luffy desperately trying to make him remember but Sanji genuinely not being able to even recognize Nami...

Sanji still maintains his heart and little traits of himself even if he believes he's part of that family. Even if he acts like them. Even if he has a different personality. His heart is still there, and Luffy knows. "Say you're Vinsmoke Sanji all you want, but I know the Strawhat's cook- My cook is still in there" Luffy is determined to make him come back. "I- I don't know who you're talking about" But Sanji is hesitating. And Luffy knows he's in there.

So, to summarize, thanks to the power of love (great logic Sanji's character always uses so I'm using it here too) Luffy manages to make Sanji remember without even needing Pudding because their romance can break any Devil Fruit's ability. Because souls and love are connected to memories and Luffy and Sanji's bond is enough to make them reconnect again.

Till loved Ivan unconditionally

In some ways, Ivan was the one loved most unconditionally because of the way he behaved. Till saw the worst of him and still accepted him as is. Till didn't understand him and still accepted him as is. He may not have liked him due to his behavior - certainly didn't take romantic interest upon that alone - but he loved him in a way that doesn't have to be categorized.

Finally, when asked if Till was aware of Ivan's feelings for him, they said NO‼️... That's right... That's right...

Despite his hatred for the way Ivan behaves towards him, he still lets him stay by his side. He complains and fusses but never pushes him away for good. He enjoys the peaceful moments they have together, just like Ivan does. Ivan is a precious person to him. Not a romantic interest or a crush, but someone he holds closeness with.

In Paratise, Ivan seems to view himself as nothing but a pest, but he's more than that. Like a creature living in your house that causes problems and won't go away, but you love for just being alive and being part of your home. Annoying but endearing. Ivan is annoying to Till but he's endeared by him too.

Every time the strawhats go to an island and they see their wanted posters, Usopp covers the "Vinsmoke" in Sanji's with a marker when he thinks he isn't paying attention. He sometimes even draws little hearts around his picture and cute messages about him. Sanji points that out one day (acting surprised, because he already knows what's going on) and Usopp goes: "Oh! It- It must be your fans, right? Must have a lot of fans around."

Sanji hums, staring at the doodled poster with a knowing smile. "And they covered the last name because..."

He can see Usopp trembling under his words, but he tries his best to laugh the nervousness away. "Words spread fast, y'know? They might know you don't like to be called that already. Or maybe they just realized somebody like you couldn't be part of a family like that."

The cook has to hold back a laugh at that, but it isn't long until his heart starts getting overwhelmed by the realization of how Usopp voice sounds. Angry and frustrated. He stares at the spot where the last name should be while he fidgets with the marker inside of his right pocket. Sanji wishes he could kiss him right here for everyone to see and thank him for everything he has done for him until now. But it would just make worthless all of Usopp's efforts to cover his lie, and the last thing he wants to do is embarrass him.

But it's- It's just cute. It's adorable and Sanji is filled with so much love his chest starts to tighten. The thought of telling Zeff about this someday crosses his mind, because he knows his father would've done the same thing. Well, not really, because he probably would've just torn the paper. But whatever. Same thing.

Instead, Sanji sighs contently and reaches to grab his boyfriend's free hand, starting to make their way to the ship. "It's a pity for the fans that their beloved cook is already taken, isn't it?"

He looks behind him to see Usopp suddenly growing confident and squeezing his hand back. "And by your fan number one, too!"

Sanji brings Usopp's hand close to his lips to press a kiss on his wrist... Maybe he can get used to having fans.

the contrast between gideon saying “I never pledged to be yours, either,” in the first book during her argument with harrow and her saying “because all I've ever wanted you to do was eat me,” in the second book is something I find intriguing. it probably has no correlation, but it's something I want to be pointed out a lot more since she declares herself wanting to be free of harrow's chains so frequently, but finds familiarity in it enough to do a sacrifice. that familiarity, connection, and honesty that they shared shortly was enough for gideon to give harrow the chance to become a lyctor and let herself be eaten. she wanted to give herself to harrow, and when harrow had rejected that, it felt like she was vomited out and spat on. all she ever wanted was to be needed, and of course it angers her that harrow refused to use her. gideon thought she had one chance to make harrow feel an emotion strongly for her (which is hatred, because it meant the world to her) that it leaves a trace, and it was immediately taken away.

Annabelle and Butch almost kissed once.

Really, you could say they almost kissed several times, when one of them let their thoughts drift just a little too far and very nearly went for it. But there was only one that really counted.

It was night. The two sat outside, watching the stars. Butch was talking. Telling a story, maybe. Annabelle was staring at her friend. She was awful handsome, with the way her hair curled over her forehead and the way her hands moved about as she talked, and something about the gleam in her eye is just so enticing, and really it's not Annabelle's fault that she couldn't help but lean in. She just had to capture that spark in Butch's eyes, the one that seemed to appear whenever she saw Annabelle. Butch wasn't talking anymore, she noticed, just staring at Annabelle with a look of surprise and adoration and longing that made Annabelle feel warm and fuzzy all the way down to her toes. They were very close, suddenly. Butch's face was red. Annabelle's heart was thumping out a steady beat saying kiss her, kiss her, kiss her. Butch let out a shakey breath and Annabelle opened her mouth to say something along the lines of I love you. But what came out of her mouth instead was:

"Butch...do you wanna rob a bank?"

And just like that, the moment broke. But neither of them ever forgot that moment, that almost-kiss under the stars.
