Something something about us being shown Eddie developing his cooking skills before buck - that were shown Eddie being able to cook a full meal (and bake) before were shown Buck doing the same thing. And something something about that foreshadowing Eddie having his full feelings realisation before buck.

Eddie’s cooking skills are on display in 5x11 outside looking in when he cooks dinner for buck Chris and Taylor - and he’s baked cupcakes for desert as well.

But we don’t actually get shown buck cooking a full meal until the 6x01 lasagne. He’s only got as far as breakfast foods when he makes Maddie an omelet in 2x04 stuck but we don’t get shown him actively cooking again until he makes the lasagne.

After that its hit and miss on the cooking and baking front for buck - burnt lasagne in a 7 and I’m assuming his baking isnt that great in 8x07 by the way Chim has one bite and then pushes the loaf away before he masters the ziti, garlic bread etc in 807 and then later the scones in 8x08.

I got this idea from a random fic I read somewhere, but I think it’s a really funny to imagine that in Star trek when humans describe things their pets do, their alien buddies just think that this is another human doing these things because they don’t know earth animals. And like honestly humans have done weirder.

with s8 coming out next week i just wanted to let u guys know that the way i got into buddie in the first place was through occasionally seeing mutuals mention it on the tl and not really thinking much of it bc i didn't know anything abt it until the episode where buck being bisexual went canon (a timeline event for the ages) and ppl were discussing destiel in relation to it basically saying that buddie might get the chance to go canon in the way they never did and i was like okay hmmmm i am curious abt this from a purely objective perspective let me look into this and see what i think. and then after like a week of observing the goings-on and interviews that were coming out around that time and finding out more about the buddie storyline in general i was like ???? lol yeah you guys are absolutely getting that canonized. like from a marketing perspective w the way they were handling this there is literally nothing else they could be planning to do. and then of course bc i had already started down the slippery slope of exploring buddie i then eventually became obsessed with it in my own time and now instead of you guys are getting buddie canon it is very much WE are getting buddie canon but that's neither here nor there i just wanted to say i have literally never questioned if this will happen lmao i'm not claiming to have any inside information or specifics about how they're going to do it but. i would have bet every dollar i had on buddie canon before 911 was even of the slightest personal interest to me at all so i will be rubbing my hands together gleefully watching this unfold.

the key to writing longfics or anything with a plot is to wait to start posting it until it's all done, that way if the story changes you can go back and edit earlier parts to foreshadow the later pieces. this however means that you can spend months to years in your own Sisyphean writing document scrolling back down to where you left off and you don't even get to be hyped up for the scenes you finished.

I was listening to Somebody Else by VÉRITÉ.

And okay listen, everyone is talking about Buck pining era with oblivious Eddie, right? But imagine Eddie KNOWS. Imagine Buck confesses, and Eddie REJECTS him.

But Eddie tells Buck how important he is, and how important his friendship is to him. Total Office/Pam & Jim moment - Buck says "I want more than that"; Eddie is like "I can't".

Cut to Buck trying to move on... but Eddie keeps getting jealous and upset that Buck isn't around as much anymore. Upset that things have changed. He starts interrupting dates and trying to sabotage any chance Buck has with a new love interest.

Buck confronts him and Eddie is like, well you love ME so why are you going out with someone else...

and Buck is stood there like ???
