I will make no excuses. This is the biggest example of self indulgent art ive done since my birthday last year. I have no fucking clue what au this is. I jsut wanted to draw Sabo as a sheep, Ace as slutty and greasy as i could with him still being hot in my eyes, and luffy with adorable little bear ears. Also that shading on luffy’s pic was really fun to make.

I had a physical reaction to drawing the little animals. Theyre. Everything. To me.

Why luffy is bear- bears are so food motivated i love them.

Why sabo is sheep- rebelling against fate’s design, breaking from herd mentality, etc etc

Why ace is coyote- it’s really funny how people keep thinking theyre cats or dogs and take them in but theyre just feral creatures. Very similar to Ace me thinks.

I wanted to make luffy and ace typical predators of sheep. Something something them born to destroy the system of all that has ever been (harking back to that herd mentality) something something also breaking that promise too to be brothers with someone from that system

So. It's established in Malevolent episode 16 that Arthur and John's emotions bleed together sometimes and there's some degree of overlap in what they think and feel. So.

What if all those times when everything seems so okay and then thirty seconds later John and Arthur are trying to kill each other are instances of that. What if all those times John becomes suddenly enraged with Arthur over things he's done (really, what business does John have being mad at Arthur for killing people etc etc?) are not John being mad at all, but rather, Arthur being so angry with himself that the emotions bleed over and are so intense as to spark a murderous rage in John.

What then.

when I first started listening to Malevolent I saw so many redraws of The Kiss and it was so cute !! I had to make one of my own ☺️

I made this sometime during my first listen of s3, back in September maybe?? My designs have definitely changed since then so maybe I’ll redo this another time 🎹💛

GUYS. I just had a devastating realization.

So. You know how 3rd life Grian is frequently drawn with that poncho thingy? Because of the desert, right?

What if Scar made his poncho from Secret Life to match his. What if he'd made it right after the first game, green to match Grian's Red. What if he began sewing sunflowers onto it, the sun was always so strong in that desert now that he remembers it, how Scar never got sunburnt was a mystery to him.

Grian notices. Of course he does. He notices everything. Nothing gets past those Watchful eyes of his.

He comments on it. Scar fumbles. He lies, saying he hadn't known it was the same design as Grian's from the desert. Grian sees right through it. He calls him out and Scar relents.

They never really left the desert, did they? Even when they were soulmates. Gods... even their base during that game looked similar. The colours, reminiscent of their old home. Neither of them were particularly subtle about it, about missing each other's embrace.

Then Scar became red. The poncho became stained, dirty, it grew to be black. The flowers changed, morphed into poppies. Red. That colour had always complimented Grian.

it was funny, really. How he was always the one to become red first out of the two of them.

Scar had told Grian he loved him. It was his last dying breath back in the desert.

Then suddenly the game was over. He barely even noticed he killed Pearl. He was so distracted by the mobs. He was alone again. In the poncho he made to match with him.

And he wondered if this is how Grian felt in the desert.

I've had this headcannon for a while, but I like to think during sparring matches between Odysseus and Eurylochus Odysseus would pretend to get hurt to trick Eurylochus into lowering his guard. Eurylochus would fall for it every time, panicking because he thought he genuinely hurt Odysseus, just to suddenly be overpowered by Odysseus because he had let his guard down to check if he was okay.

During munity he did actually land a hit on Odysseus (probably just a nick to his torso or arm, something small) and freezes just like he did when they were kids. Before he can react off of any instinct to make sure Odysseus is okay, he gets struck down by Odysseus (and probably worse if Perimedes didn't stab him)

It means a lot to me that Jinx was able to look Vi in the eyes when she sacrifices herself at the very end in the Warwick fight. Jinx getting to see how DEVASTATED Vi was about losing her little sister one last time.

I just feel like it was good for Jinx, to be able to see how much Vi really did love her, even if she was bad at showing it and messed up a lot. I wonder if that made it easier or harder for her to leave everything behind.

The absolute peaceful look on her face??? Idk to me from Jinx’s POV it gives “how did we die?” “Loved” (even though we know she escaped)

And it’s obviously very reminiscent of the goodbye look Isha gives Jinx when she sacrifices herself as well.
