as a kid in hs, my teacher literally came up to me, holding my 40 page essay on the intersection of the European witch hunts and capitalism/exploitation/gender roles (it was supposed to be 7 pages...whoops) and went like "this is literally a master's-degree level thesis. what are you doing?? you could literally use this as your final dissertation in a master's program, what the fuck."

I would like to issue a formal response to NOT freddy anon as I have never heard of this theory and would like to learn more about it.

Most people in fact treat the books as material and not outright canon because of the nature of the stories inside (they are not against reusing names for the sake of clearing up different parts of the story and making other parts muddier)

It is true that I haven't read the books but I have seen many other sources talk about the same concepts in their own ipothesis and using the books as some way to legitimize their own spin on things.

I firmly believe that the books do not hold complete lore truth in them and the use of the crying child nickname for the character in said books was a way to cement the same name as important for theory crafting and speculation on what happened in the game.

Even in the games themselves it is heavily argued if the crying child even dies via the bite of the fredbear suit, what caused the suit to bite down and if the child then goes on to possess the suit itself in later moments of the series.

But as I have been in this community for a long time and I am sure you are too ma'am, you will understand that usually even in real life the most popular and concrete theory is usually the one used as basis to find out other things (such as the theory of evolution and the theory of how the universe started are seen by the general public as concrete). The same happens with the bite of '83 as it can be deduced simply that the party shown in game was in '83, did not have anything to do with any security bots, is clearly a heavy character moment for the series and most importantly is SHOWN, the cutscene was planned out by the author for a reason. Some even suggest it is the moment MOST crucial to the whole series and the characters in them.

Occasionally I picture Nightwing calling Red Hood "little wing" in front of others and people looking between this huge, 6'0 feet tall man with growing white hair, and then Nightwing, a shorter man who has flawless skin, probably around his 20's, and a fit but not too buff build and they just- don't know what's happening. Is it some kind of inside joke they aren't aware of? Why is Nightwing acting as if he's years older than Red-fucking jacked-Hood?

Gravity Falls doodle dump!! Mostly Gideon. He's my favorite if you can't tell immediately, lol. I have zero time for drawing outside comms, but I had some time yesterday, while my mom and I were out and about doing errands. I had some spare printer paper on me to draw on. The first three of dipper and "canon" human bill, I actually drew when I was visiting with my cousins last week. And the last one of gideon flexing is a wip, I'm planning on making that a print. That wip sketch has been on patreon for a month or two actually :'D

But all this GF resurgence stuff has gotten me thinking about how I envision older gideon, again. I love him so much!!!!! I headcanon that he's a vampire, there's a little bit of that in here. Maybe more on that in another post??
