can I see an ashi and gigi interaction <//3 look she even has an emote 🌺
KIDDING!!!!!! BUT HI I WANT MORE GIGI CONTENT 🫶 really curious about 🦐🦑🍄 octotrio? this is my attempt at more unagi crumbs BUT!!! I AM GEN CURIOUS ABOUT OCTO INTERACTIONS 🫣 don’t think I’ve seen gigi interact w the other two ssssso 👁️👁️
Tumblr media
in a nutshell?
if these three carked it right in front of them, gia would at long last repent and hole up in a nunnery like the good lord intended.
jk. (kinda)
on paper, gia is the octotrio’s personal henchboy as payment for a “favor” floyd does them a little prior/early into the events of book 5. (currently working on a one-shot that goes into this) originally gia’s tenure under the mostro lounge was only meant to be for a few weeks, but it’s made readily apparent once the octotrio finds use in something they are not about to let it slip through their fingers.
so begins the trio's pattern of finding even the smallest infractions on gia’s part as cause to extend their servitude under them. this is, understandably, why there's little love lost between them. i’d say gia prays for the trio’s downfall, but gia isn’t religious and far too proactive to wait around for that to happen.
they’ve made it their personal mission not to leave nrc until octavinelle is burning at their feet.
in reality, gia’s relationship with the octotrio is quite complicated.
they’ve been an absolute pain in the neck in every single encounter, but it doesn’t take gia long to realize the octotrio is their speedrun towards getting some REAL power in their hands. proud and hard-working they may be, gia is ultimately a pragmatist at heart.
though a bit of a showman, azul IS an undeniably powerful mage with many a tentacle in many a pie. the twins are nothing to sneeze at either.
as much as gia hates their guts, these three are their chance to make it not only to graduation but to actually make something of themself when staying at night raven is no longer an option.
and that’s not even getting into the growing familiarity between gia and the trio steadily murking the waters…
🦑 AZUL ASHENGROTTO: (tagging @thehollowwriter since you also sent an ask for azul)
perhaps the most subtle dynamic of the three (making it the hardest to explain) gia's view of azul can be largely inferred by their joke-title for him: boss.
if azul wants something done, then gia gets it done. gia proves themself an incredibly adept asset to azul and it's why azul pulls whatever strings he can to keep them under his thumb.
that said, while gia puts up with much of azul's overworking and respects they are indebted to the trio by not putting up much of a fuss-- azul is aware he occasionally has to sweeten the pot if he wants to keep it that way.
he'd be a fool to forget this was the same person who got all his original contracts turned to dust. and besides: what good, gracious employer doesn't reward his employees for their hard work?
so azul doesn't mind giving gia access to a few of his private merchandise channels, maybe even some of his more advanced grimoires and alchemy notes, etc.
this dynamic remains largely unchanged for a while, though if one were to squint they might catch a degree of casualness peppering their interactions over time. they indulge in subtle sniping-- even minor trolling-- namely from gia who finds azul an easy target.
they are not fully aware of how things have changed until @cyanide-latte's chrysanthos shroud makes quite a bitter impression on them both. in a low moment surprising even azul, he admits to gia that shroud makes him feel inadequate as a housewarden-- made worse by the fact azul knows it isn't shroud's intention. shroud, in his own way, truly embodies the spirit of benevolence an octavinelle housewarden should be and it's something azul wonders he'll ever be able to do himself. (you can read more on this in cy's post: here!)
gia, in an attempt to give azul the peace of mind that they won't try to use this moment of weakness against him (and bolstered by the knowledge this could come in as blackmail should he think to use what they're about to tell him), shares a bit of their own worries shroud managed to jar loose.
working for the trio is hard, however, it's also been the path that's given gia the most opportunities. but, with the trio being a year ahead of them, gia is well aware their time with them is limited. they can’t help but mull over what is to become of them when the trio leave for their senior internships. gia will likely never see them again and likely be nothing more than a footnote from the trio’s school lives. a strange, magicless weirdo from another dimension, wasn’t that a fun little story?
gia’s probably going to have a lot of free time as a junior and who knows how they plan to go about senior year, frankly, they’re a bit at a loss with themself…
anyway. if it weren't for azul """kindly""" giving them the chance to gain what they DO have by working for him (or whatever), they'd probably be even more lost than they are now. he's a pain and a half, but he's probably not the worst housewarden in octavinelle history.
at this, azul reminds gia he's made his plans to branch out the mostro lounge to the public quite clear. gia wouldn’t be bound to them anymore, but it'd be a shame to let their experience at the school's location go to waste, wouldn't it?
🍄 - JADE LEECH
gia's relationship with jade is probably the strangest because despite jade being the one that wigs gia out the most, he is also the one gia openly gets along with the best.
fun fact: gia opened up their own club. the biking club. they are the only person in said club because, for some reason or another, they reject anyone who tries to get in. it might have to do with the fact the reason the club exists is because they needed an excuse to have a bike on school grounds they are allowed to ride anywhere unquestioned-- such as for personal errands or scavenging for potion ingredients. this includes up in the mountains.
y'know who else is often in the mountains..?
because of this little coinkidink, jade found a very weak and fevered gia struggling to get off the ground because they'd stupidly decided to go out foraging while sick. and of course, what good, gracious vice-housewarden of octavinelle wouldn't lend a hand to a poor, unfortunate underclassman in need despite their fervent protests? they're obviously, deliriously ill and are unaware of what's best for them…
indebted to jade on top of the octotrio as a whole, gia lost what little personal time they had as president of their own one-man club. now the biking club is (semi-officially) affiliated with his mountain lovers' club-- meaning gia accompanies him whenever he goes and bikes him around trails whenever he feels like it.
in theory, being alone up a mountain with jade leech should be terrifying, but gia sincerely enjoys these outings. jade is not only incredibly well-versed in mountain flora but a skilled potionologist in his own right.
honestly, it’s not bad.

So Zelda does wield a sword temporarily in Echoes of Wisdom which I personally think is great. She won't play like Link because she is primarily a mage but a sword is available for strategic moments. I like that it's not constantly available but it is an option for people who want it. I wonder how much I will end up using it since I think I will prefer the other abilities.
My biggest fear with Zelda as a main character in a main Zelda title was for her to just be a Link clone and that the game's "gimmick" is just "female protagonist", but from everything shown for Echoes of Wisdom, it's clear that Zelda is very much her own unique character with a distinct playstyle separate from Link. The companion Tri is the gimmick of the game that is tied to the game like Wolf Link to Twilight Princess and Ultrahand to Tears of the Kingdom. Zelda herself is not a gimmick and is free to appear in future titles as a protagonist because she can take on any number of unique magic abilities that don't suit Link's playstyle. She is a great option for the developers to experiment on ideas that don't suit Link particularly such as playstyles that do not involve a sword.
If she can access the sword abilities that Link has, I think this makes it even more likely that we will play Link right at the start before we get Zelda. A lot of people suggested that this wouldn't make sense since Nintendo usually focuses on abilities the protagonist can use, but now that Zelda can access the sword to an extent, it would be easy to start the game as Link (I almost wish that I could have gone blind and has been surprised by the switch to Zelda but I understand why they would want people to know going into the game first considering how different the gameplay is to most Zelda titles).
The game looks great and I'm really excited for what this means for Zelda as a character in the future.

You and your family moved to Glove City. However, the house caught fire, and you're the sole survivor. Oh, but that was two years ago... you're not still stuck up on that... are you?
After your family died, being 20 with no job or nearby family, you had to live in alleyways, sleep on park benches, and steal food from vendors... until you met them. They hesitantly welcomed you into their little group after you saved their asses, and you've stuck with them ever since. One day, you got commissioned to steal a necklace from a family in the rich part of town for a hefty price, so obviously, your group accepted and prepared for the trip. What you didn't expect is that the family you're stealing from might not be as innocent and powerless as you thought.
Trigger warnings: Violence, drug intake of minor characters, alcohol of main characters (Optional for MC), violence, death, theft, and slight mention of animal cruelty. This list will be updated as the story progresses.

NOTES: Romance options have a ♡ next to their name. Melody is male or female. Optional Polyarmous Route with Melody and Elias. I'll go into more detail with their personalities (As well as appearances) in their character profiles, I've started on them, but they most likely won't come out for a couple days.
Ian/Ivy ♡; A street rat the moment they were born. Kinda a jackass, but they keep you and their friends out of harm's way, so are they really as cold as they pretend to be? Possible Tropes: Opposites Attract, Found Family, Slowburn. Isla "Wren" Hill ♡; Best thief you know. The first time you met, she stole your packet of gum without you ever finding out until a year later when she told you. She's playful, affectionate, and a little bit of a smartass. [Healing Mage.] Possible Tropes: Mutual Pining, Friends to Lovers, Found Family. Valerie "Val" Hill; The little sister of Isla. You think it’s nice how she steals for others free of charge, but don’t understand why. She’s sarcastic, bold, and surprisingly attentive. Oh, and also a bit of a smartass. Trope: Found Family. [Made by @dvoilds] Elias "Eli" Wynn ♡; His life before he met you guys is a blur, or at least what he says, but you don't really think that's true. Other than that, he's as sweet as a thief can be. He's caring and considerate of other's feelings, and your group's peacemaker. Will you get him to uncover his secrets? [Water Mage.] Possible Tropes: Mutual Pining, "You came?" "You called." Melody "Mel" Rose ♡; They got tangled up in this mess, and you're not quite sure how it happened. As far as you can make out, they're actually pretty understanding. It's kinda freaky how nice they are to you guys, even after you got them knee-deep in all this shit. You think they're here to stay, but it's not like they have a choice. Do they have an alternative motive, or are they just this kind-hearted? Possible Tropes: Frenemies to Lovers, Love at First Sight (More like Attraction), Strangers to Lovers. Casper Vespertine ♡; The son of the family you stole from and the man you're running away from. He scares you shitless, and it doesn't help that he talks like a robot. Will you outrun him, or will you let him catch you? Possible Tropes: Rivals to Lovers, Slowburn, Right Person, Wrong Time.
and more!

focus group test q&a (and the stuff before it)
i decided to sit down and translate all of 蒼's tweets about the focus group test to have them all in one spot, since i haven't seen them all anywhere. i've also copypasted their exact words in jp so that if anyone who knows more than me wants to double check the wording, you can do that easily (also there's one specific answer that i just don't understand. i got a friend to help me but i left a note on it just in case)!
also excuse the formatting, it's awful but tumblr won't let me do anything on shift-enter'd lines
under a readmore because it's super long:
Lead Planner: Shirokami (白神さん) Character Designer: Yamashita (山下さん) Brand Manager: Aida (間さん) And of course: Nomura (野村さん)
But first, the stuff before the Q&A:
—About Remus: designed by Yamashita; "he's a guy who helps pull Player along, so he's a reliable older brother type" (タレ目 just means drooping eyes) —レムスは山下さんがデザイン。山下さん「プレイヤーを引っ張ってくれるお兄さんなので、頼れるタレ目のお兄さんに」
—The designers check in with Nomura when deciding on characters —野村さんと相談しながらキャラクターを決めていく。
—There are plenty of other characters outside of who's shown in the closed beta, along with other Societies —CBTで出てる以外のキャラもいっぱいいる。結社も他にいっぱいある。
—Aside from Nomura, there are three other character designers —キャラデザのデザイナーは野村さん他3人、みんなでやってる。
—Freya was designed with the image of a cat in mind because she does navigation, and her hair is also designed with that in mind; OP's comment says "so basically Chirithy!" (メッシュ means hair highlights i think??) —フレイヤはある猫ちゃんをイメージ。ナビゲーションしてくれるから。メッシュもその子の柄を意識している。(チ○シィじゃん!)
—About avatar outfit coordination: "The person who designs weapons also designs the outfits" -Nomura —野村さん「武器職人が衣装職人やってる」武器のデザインやってた人がコーデデザイン
—There are a bunch of outfits modeled after different jobs, like Fighter, Hunter, Wizard, Healer, variations of Soldiers, Hunter(again), Black Mage, and White Mage —いくつかジョブをモチーフにしている衣装がある。ファイター、ハンター、ウィザード、ヒーラーは、それぞれ戦士、狩人、黒魔道士、白魔道士をイメージ
—There are also outfits designed to look like Scala civilian wear, like the ones working at the reception desk or the Top Hat outfit. "The order called for 'People from Scala'" -Yamashita —スカラの街の人っぽいデザインも。受付の人やシルクハットのコーデ。山下さん「オーダーが『スカラの街の人』だった」雑、と(笑)
—There's also one that looks like a flower shop owner —お花屋さんっぽいコーデも『スカラの街の人』っぽいデザイン。
—Other job motif outfits that haven't been shown; a Thief design that's predominantly black and green, includes goggles; a Dark Knight that has a sword accessory —ジョブモチーフ衣装、まだ出ていないものも!シーフは黒と緑の衣装、ゴーグルつけてる。暗黒騎士は使えない飾りの剣もついている
—The Red Mage outfit is predominantly black and red, with a cape on left shoulder; "To me it doesn't really look that red, just black" -Nomura —赤魔道士は黒と赤の衣装、左肩のみ肩マントつけてる。野村さん「俺から見ると赤くない、黒い」
—The Dragon Knight outfit is very spiky. The design for the hat is having trouble coming together so just that part is under revision —竜騎士はトゲトゲな衣装。帽子がまだしっくり来ていなくて帽子だけ監修中。
—The designers all have their opinions so there'll be a lot of different clothes —色んなデザイナーが関わっているから色んな服が出る。
——About the Guide Moogle: —Yamashita: They got their own new clothes, too —Nomura: (about the clothes) I was asked if the Guide Moogle could wear those outfits early in development, so that's why you see them in these outfits. Then I was asked if there could be one in each Society, which had to be turned down.* —山下さん「モグちゃんにも新しいお洋服を」 —野村さん「(ガイドモーグリの服について)開発から着せていいですか、って言われたから。結社一つモーグリでもいいですか?って言うから、それはダメだよ、って言った」 *(take this with a huge grain of salt. these two sentences are the most confusing lines i've ever read in my life. i have no idea who's saying what to who. help me)
—There are other Moogle designs too, such as flower shop and cafe employee outfits, and others can wear crowns and top hats; they mostly wear different hats and aprons —モーグリのデザイン、他にもあり!お花屋さん、カフェ店員さん…王冠かぶっていたり、シルクハットかぶっているのも!ほとんど帽子をかぶりエプロンをつけている。めっちゃかわいい。
—Outfit revealed for a character who can't be shown yet, outfit is mostly dark colors; "I can't say if they're an enemy or an ally yet. A name has been decided on, but I can't say that either. They aren't the only one" -Nomura —まだ出しちゃいけないキャラの服も公開!黒い衣装。野村さん「敵か味方かも言えない。名前は決まっているが言えない。…一人じゃない」
—There are subspecies of Behemoths, and one kinda looks a little like leopard print; "The closed beta testers are seeing them more often than their parents' faces" -Nomura, when looking at the Behemoth —亜種もあり。ちょっとヒョウ柄っぽい。 野村さん「(ベヒーモスを見て)CBTやっている人は親の顔より見てる」
—Scala was designed after the image of a main street at night; "It turned into the view of my childhood home…" -Nomura —スカラの街のイメージ資料。大通り(夜)。野村さん「実家と化した…」
——About the Dive Station: —Nomura: It went through a lot of name changes —Nomura: After the first time we showed it on Twitter, people thought maybe it was under construction, but like it was mentioned in the closed beta prologue, it's a place that's no longer in use —Nomura: Something that happened back when the cranes were still in use… You'll understand once the live service starts —野村さん「名前何回か変わった」 —野村さん「(ダイヴステーションについて)Twitterで初めて画像上げた後、建設中かなーと言われたけど、今回のCBTのプロローグでも言っていたように、今はもう使われなくなった場所」 —野村さん「クレーンを使っていた頃の何がしかは…正式サービス開始時にわかる」
—About the scenery of Scala: Since the design is the basis, it's been drawn with care by the same person who did the background scenery for Union Cross; "Everyone is living here now" -Nomura —スカラの全景。デザイン画なのでしっかり描かれている。このデザイン画はUχの背景を描いていた人が描いている。野村さん「皆さんはここに住んでいます」
Now to the actual Q&A section (where Nomura says, "You guys wrote way too many questions"):
—Q: Will Guilds or Friendlists be added? (a lot of this same question) —A: If possible. Stay tuned. —やれたら。お察しください。ご期待ください。
—Q: Is there compatibility with the Apple Watch, like being able to use it in hands-free mode? —A: With the step counter, yes. We'll see what we can do with the hands-free mode. —歩数で連動しています。ハンズフリーは善処します。
—Q: Will other raid bosses like the Guard Armor be added? —A: I can't say for all of them, but yes, there will be more. —全部とは言えないけど、出ます。今後増えます。
—Q: Will we be able to obtain more Keyblades such as Kingdom Key? —A: There will be more Keyblades, but I'm not sure about adding Kingdom Key. —キーブレードの種類は増えます。キングダムチェーンが出るかどうかはわからない。
—Q: Will Pieces have voices or BGM (like some medals did in KHUX)? —A: We're discussing it with Disney since the game is Global. Please be understanding. —ディズニーと相談中。お察しください。グローバルなので。
—Q: Is it possible to rollback a material you've already used? —A: That'd be difficult because of the Strengthening Record. —強化レコードの関係上難しい。
—Q: Will there be more clothing options and/or Pieces? —A: For clothing options, like we revealed earlier, there are ones that haven't been added and ones that we still can't show. They will be added gradually. The rest depends on our effort. —アバターはさっきお見せしたようにまだ出していないもの、そしてまだお見せしていないものもある。順次増える。他は頑張り次第。
—Q: The music is beautiful, so I was wondering if there would be an album release? —A: We still don't have many songs, so that will depend on if service continues. —まだ数曲しかないので、サービスが続けば。
—Q: What are Glow Pieces? —A: Special pieces that shine. Please wait for live service. (laughed at that one ngl) —光ってる特別なピース。正式サービス開始をお待ちください。
—Q: Do you recommend any specific Pieces or skills for battles? —A: (Shirokami) "The King. He can sweep the map in one shot." / (Nomura) "For me, it's Gothel. Though I feel a little bad when everything on the field gets Slow'd." *(edit: i just realized i misread this and it doesn't say "slow," it's "through," but i genuinely have no idea what that even means in the gameplay sense nor have i seen someone use gothel. maybe it takes aggro off of you??) —白神さん「王様。一発で一掃できる」野村さん「俺はゴーテル。みんなフィールドでスルーするからかわいそうだなって」
—Q: Will there be an easier way to save specific colors on clothes when you want to change them to something else temporarily? —A: That's under consideration. —やりやすくするよう改善を検討中です。
—Q: Since you can share raid boss URLs, are there any plans to create an official community? —A: If Disney's alright with it… —ディズニーがよければ…
—Q: If the game can be played at home, then is there a reason for it to be a mobile app? Wouldn't it be better to just make it a console game at that point? —A: (Nomura) "Staff have told me that mobile games nowadays can be made with the same quality as console games, so I thought it'd be worth a try to bring the normal KH experience to mobile. I wanted to use the hardware features that can only be accomplished on a smartphone, so I went with a location-based concept. Console games can accomplish different things. And, well, if we did make a console game that would be a separate thing, while this is its own thing." —A: (Shirokami) "With Party creation, for example, it's more interesting because you're interacting with the people around you and showing them this fun new thing and getting to play it together, which makes it a bit easier for you to expand outside of already existing communities." —A: (Nomura) "Keep joining more and more raids."
—Q: What's something that you had the most trouble with during development, but actually ended up working out pretty well? —A: (Shirokami) "Getting the Pad function and the GPS function to coexist. It's hard to set up servers for that." / (Nomura) "Getting the vertical and horizontal orientations to coexist. It's ridiculous. Doing checks on it was even worse." —白神さん「パッド機能とGPS機能の両立。サーバー置いたり大変」 野村さん「縦画面と横画面両立。正気じゃない、狂気。チェックも倍」 縦横画面の両立でメニューなどコントローラーのこと追いついていない。
—Q: If someone disconnects and reconnects during a raid, are they able to continue? —A: Since it's in real-time, they can't continue. —リアルタイムなので継続はできない。
—Q: The miasma is so dark that I can't find the Area Enemy within it. It wasn't that strong during the prototype test. —A: I agree with that, and we tried to fix it after the closed beta started but it wouldn't work. It'll be fixed in the final release. —確かに濃すぎてCBT中に直したかったけど直せなかった。正式リリースでは直します。
—Q: Will there be costumes of characters such as Sora and Riku like there were during KHUX? —A: That kind of thing usually happens because the main producer brings it up… so if they do, then we'll do it. —野村さん「そういうのやるときはプロデューサーが話を持ってきたときだから…プロデューサーがそういう話持ってきたらやる」
—Q: Is there anything specific that you really like and want other people to pay attention to? —A: (Shirokami) "The Lock mode uses a seventh of the battery, so it's great to use to defeat enemies while in the car or on the train." —A: (Yamashita) "The scenery is pretty so please take a look at it. I'd like if you could climb the walls and look down every nook and cranny." —A: (Aida) "GPS games usually have some regional disparity, but this doesn't." —A: (Nomura) "There's a big reason why I wanted to use GPS, but I can't say. People have been speculating about it, right? On social media and whatnot."
—Q: I wish it was easier to collect jewels all in one place outside of checking the mail. —A: That will be addressed accordingly. There will be other ways to receive your items besides checking the mail from the Astral Plane. (Nomura: I find it annoying too) —順次対応します。メールがアストラル界以外でも受け取れるようにします。野村さん「僕もこれめんどくさい」
—Q: Will the Pieces be made into figures? —A: (Matsushita, present and in charge of merch) I wanna make them! I'll see what I can do! —イベントに立ち会ったグッズの松下さん「作りたいです!善処します!」
—Q: Can you make parties with the story characters? —A: There will be opportunities in the story to be joined by other characters, like Remus in the prologue. However, there are currently no plans to create parties freely with them. —ストーリー内では今回のレムスのように機会があります。自由に、というのは今のところ考えていない。
—Q: What Disney worlds will be in the game? —A: That's a secret. —秘密。 - They're shown anyway at the end of the Q&A: the player is seeing running through a forest, in a cave, on a shoal, near a beach, and finally Olympus (the only one OP was able to identify) - Disney worlds will work like they always have; they're places you can visit, have their own stories, and you can meet the inhabitants. There's one other thing, but OP can't say what it is - Other descriptions: A large lake? The ocean? Mountains, a moon in the night sky… A townscape from afar that you can see the lights from, and a boat on the wharf (Nomura: The colors were adjusted to get them as close to the original as possible)
—Q: Will there be a way to rewatch cutscenes within the game? —A: We're thinking of a theatre mode. (Nomura: There are people who skip cutscenes because they don't have time to watch them, so to make sure they don't miss out, it'll be added.) —シアターは考えている。野村さん「やってて今見てる時間なくてって飛ばしたい人もいるので、飛ばしたらもう見られないってならないよう、入れてもらいます」
—Q: Will there be time-limited events? —A: Meetings about events have already been arranged, but we can't say anything about the details. —イベントはもう打ち合わせ済み。内容はまだお答えできない。
—Q: How much of the story will be available when service starts? —A: Since there are so many characters, the modelers can't keep up, and aside from that, it's voiced with animated cutscenes. While we're trying to fix up the structure, we don't intend of making it more compact. It'll be about the same as a traditional Kingdom Hearts game. —新キャラばっかりでモデルが追いつかない。声もついてるしムービーも出る。構成見直し中だがコンパクトにする気はない。従来のKHと同じくらい。
About the pacing of story releases: (Nomura) "How many months did it take for KHUX? Nowadays that pacing is unacceptable."
—Q: Will Scala get any bigger? —A: Yes. —広がっていく。
—Q: Who are the staff's favorite characters? —A: Since there have only been two new characters shown so far, this is about Pieces instead. (Nomura: Gothel) —キャラは2人しか出ていないから、ピースを。野村さん「ゴーテル」
—Q: Will cutscenes look like the prologue instead of the text-based cutscenes that KHUX had? —A: If all the cutscenes were on the same level as the prologue, they would take a year to come out, so not all of them will. They'll be more lightweight than the prologue, but they will be voiced. All the cutscenes for the live service release have already been shot. There are very little to no cutscenes that are text-based like the KHUX ones are.
—Q: Since Freya wears a skirt, are there any outfits that are gender-restricted? —A: (Yamashita) "Outfits are unisex. There's no restriction against what you can wear. Just like how the player can freely change bottoms, this is simply how Freya decided to coordinate her outfit." —山下さん「コーデは男女兼用。男性用、女性用と区別はなく、どちらも着られる。プレイヤーがボトムを変えられるように、フレイヤがそういうコーディネートをしているだけ」
—Q: Are Navigators different from Keyblade wielders? Are there others across the different Societies? —A: They are Keyblade wielders, but they just don't use them. Navigators don't exist in other Societies; Freya is the only one. By the way, you can't select a Society to join like you could with Unions in KHUX, the choice is fixed." —野村さん「キーブレード使い。使わないだけで。ナビゲーターは各結社にそれぞれはいない。フレイヤだけ。ちなみにUχみたいに好きな結社選ぶとかなく、プレイヤーが入る結社は固定」
(scenes in the closed beta are very cut, like with freya suddenly being friends with the player. the conversation with freya as seen in the closed beta is a discarded cut. that conversation will be in the final release, but the cut is different. / CBTのイベントはかなりカットしてる。フレイヤと突然仲間になってる。フレイヤの会話シーンはCBTのみの捨てカット。リリースであの会話はあるが、カットは違う。)
—Q: Is the Guide Moogle part of a Society? —A: We said earlier that they weren't, but maybe just that one is. —先程モーグリ結社はないと言ったが、このモーグリだけはどこか所属するかも。

Team Shadowgear headcanons/rewrites for fun. Note, it'll be a bit lengthy:
Levy, Jet, and Droy all get orphaned by the same monster attack on their village. Some older fairy tail mages save them from the destruction and one of them keeps the group housed even until modern day.
The trio have a sibling bond and are intensely supportive of each other, capable of knowing which areas they aren't great at and who excells.
The placement of Jet, Droy, and Levy's guildmark was chosen by levy, but the name rather than just being decided by Levy, was heavily debated among them for about a year before they settled on it.
In celebration of them going on their first mission unattended they get ear piercings. Almost like a rite of passage/adulthood. This was a Jet request as he always wanted some. (Note this is why I always draw them with the same piercings.)
They specialize in curse breaking, historical notations, and general collection of knowledge. Very much not a combat based group, often they go with other mages/groups for support and recon.
Levy has a habit of hoarding books. Droy and later on freed are the 2 who help her go through and remake books/rewrite them to help avoid rot that comes with older transcripts she finds.
Levy knows how to cast magic through sign language which is an incredibly complicated skill and can make script magic unstable of the mage isn't practiced enough. It's quicker to cast but trickier to get right.
Jet has to get specific magical shoes that are reinforced and sturdy due to his magic constantly wearing them out. He got so bummed about this that it leads to a decent portion of the guild spending a week helping him figure out how to preserve what he has.
Droy is the only one in shadowgear who can handle spice. He makes his food far too spicy and has learned to make separate portions for Levy and Jet.
Droy is the most friendly and easy to get along with in the group. It's not that they others are unfriendly, more that they get lost in their own worlds at times and aren't as focused on proper human connection. Though there aren't many close friends of Droy in the guild.
Jet has a more questionable sense of humor, he tends to find comedy in really tense and dangerous situations.
Juvia joins them a few months after getting into fairy tail due to a growing friendship with Droy as she takes up gardening as a hobby to try and figure herself out.
Gajeel joins a few weeks later, he actually would've become a bit more friendly with Jet since Makarov would've had both of them working on information gathering. Also Juvia wanting to work as a team with gajeel again.
Juvia bought Gajeel his guitar he always uses and considers herself his number one fan since she supported him even before joining fairy tail. She will fight people on it.
There is a lot of bad blood and tension between Gajeel and Levy at the start. She outright hates the man and doesn't take it easy on him causing him to have to work overtime to prove his intentions to improve and change.
When Lily does join he initially feels intensely awkward due to this hatred and an understanding that he should not involve himself and try to quell things. He tends to just pretend he can't hear or see anything since he knows how best to mind his business after years of politics and service to nobles.
Levy agrees to let Gajeel help her during Tenrou mainly because he's the only teammate who won't take it easy/will push her and it's the first time there's a clear amount of trust between the two of them enough for it to almost be said they're friends.
Juvia gets approached by Makarov before tenrou Island to see if she'd actually be willing to test for S-class, and ultimately, she refuses. Makarov wants his kids to improve but is also supportive of them figuring things out on their own and taking their time.
Droy grows various foods for the guild and guides plants into reinforcing damages the guild sustains. Him and Laki work overtime during the timeskip to keep the guildhall standing and develop a friendship.
Juvia starts a clothing line during the timeskip. Mainly, it's for children, though she also has a fair bit of exceed customers. She also makes custom dolls when requested to match her patrons.
Jet works mainly on infiltration and information gathering over the timeskip. Becoming closer with Warren, Vijeeter, lamia scale and the trimen as they all search out the missing members of the guild. He avidly refuses to accept anyone has died. Chico also assists in the efforts by conversing with spirits and making entirely sure none of the members appear after death.
Droy is naturally fat but was dieting and unhealthy with trying to stay slim, his focus shirting to caring for the guild means he goes back to his natural weight and is the most content he's been in years in spite of his grief.
Juvia post time skip is one of the main mages that keep the guild standing due to just how terrifying her abilities are. While the guild does have squabbles with rivals who want to take over the territory, no one is keen to cross her and she often calls some rain to make a point if people get to bold in their threats to the guild.
Jet started learning languages over the time skip. He and droy had a rough understanding of some prior to tenrou Island due to Levy's insistence, but as he runs more missions he does begin taking it more seriously. He's nowhere near Levy's level or knowledge, but he has a few learned by the time the tenrou crew returns.
Juvia knows how to speak 3 languages. What would be the equivalent of French, Russian, and English.
Droy is able to clock almost any plant and explain it's good and bad effects. He gets very excited about it and often rambles.
Droy, Jet, and Juvia typically try meeting for meals at least once a week just to catch up and keep the bond tight. They meet more often then that when Jet isn't on missions.
There's a noticeable shift in Gajeel and Levy's dynamic post Tenrou. Nothing explicitly romantic at first but Jet, Droy, and Levy see the beginnings of something and start a betting pool on what they think will happen. Most of the guild gets involved.
Pantherlily is fantastic with kids and considered the guild babysitter by most. He's the most easily able to handle being rough and grabbed.
I know I have more but that's my list for now. Featuring a height chart:

🌙 the S is for Starved Of Touch solavellan enjoy 🌙
He is reluctant to leave her side, to travel with Fiona's mages to measure the artifacts' influence on rifts as per his proposal.
Not when she is barely out of the fever sweats.
She snorts when he voices this, blowing her nose on the muslin fabric scrap that might as well have grown into her like red lyrium since autumn has found Skyhold.
"My brother is among the mages," she says. Ah yes. Haleir. A young one, not even old enough to consider vallaslin, who meant to stop at Skyhold for rest before travelling on to a clan just outside the Graves.
"I'd rather someone kept an eye on him. He tends to pick fights he does not intend to finish." Her ears twitch a little when he drags his nails through her hair, across his scalp.
The medicine won't let her wash herself, but she enjoys having her hairs moved.
"I shall watch out for him, vhenan."
She smiles, wide enough he can see the small gaps between each of her teeth, even the swollen part on the inside of her lip that she chews on when nervous. Presses a kiss to his cheek.
"Thank you. I'll be much better by the time you return, Solas, I promise."
Then she blows out the candles by her bedside and returns to resting.
-
She really is much better by the time they return. So much better, in fact, that he spends quite some time finding her.
She stands with Josephine, intently listening the conversation the Ambassador has with their guest, though he knows she can only understand about half the words passed between them in quick, dialected Orlesian. Serault, if he is not mistaken.
Lavellan clutches a small box with both hands, low to her belly. The swirls burnt into the wood look decidedly like a human interpretation of her vallaslin - just outside of graceful.
She has evidently indulged in the extensive bath she has whenever she returns to Skyhold for more than a week; where she scrubs her skin with three different soaps, puts rosemary cream into her every strand of hair and wraps her head in a beeswax towel, trims her nails and takes out all her piercings to clean with alcohol. She holds her waves out of her face with two jewelled braids tied behind her head. The flowy, light blue chiffon is held to her body with pearled straps over shoulders and arms and a stained bronze corset.
He knows her back is bare beneath her hair. Three months past, he's watched Lavellan make the gown, holding the fabric taut with her toes while carefully trimming it with a blade. She had shrugged when he noted her crouched position on the floor, the availability of scissors in the hold. I've always sewn this way. That I have a clean ground to do it on is more luxury than I have ever known.
There's power that she exudes, wearing this thin a layer in this cold a part of the fortress. But he knows the tights over stockings over wool socks inside thick riding boots underneath her skirt.
He hadn't noticed her hair had grown so long that when undone, it flowed down to just above her thighs.
When she catches his eye (his staring, really), casually shifting on her feet like playing the Game was all she had ever done, and she smiles at him, he can see he even put powdered colour on her face, blue on her eyes, pink on her lips. It makes the lines of her vallaslin look all the brighter.
Solas finds he does not hate the marks as much, suddenly. Not on her.
"Forgive me," he hears her say, struggling to wrap her lips around the Orlesian sounds, not unlike she had struggled to speak their language, before he had started to teach her. "I must meet with this agent. He has been instrumental in measuring the Veil." She tilts her head toward the emissary, then motions for Solas to follow her toward the War Room.
He barely gets to close the door behind them before she kisses him.
"I missed you," she huffs into the space between them, one hand on his waist, the other lifting the box over his shoulder.
She all but pushes him into the wall behind him.
-
"What happened?" She follows his glance down her arm, extended before him from pushing a marker - her marker - back into the Hinterlands.
Three long, bloody clawmarks run along the freckled, perfect skin of her forearm. The tattoo she has there, simple thin rings drawn when she served as practice canvas for her clan's First to learn vallaslin, has barely been touched.
She shrugs.
"The barn cat had her young two days ago. A dead one was still halfways stuck inside her, like she'd just given up on number five. I tried to pull it out." A little chuckle, like she can't believe her own foolishness. "She did not like that."
"Who would?" She moves to sit atop the edge of the war table, tugging him closer by his hands until he stands between her thighs.
"I didn't say I blame her. And I've gotten scratched up worse before, so.. It doesn't look infected; I think I'll just wait it out." He won't let her finish her sentence before he smoothes his palm over the wounds, trickling magic into her skin.
"...I could've just put calendula ointment on it, you know." There's mirth in her voice as she says it.
"Indulge me, my heart," he replies, instead of saying You are in everything I do and I cannot bear to see you hurt, so please forgive your old lover's stubbornness.
Her hands brush against the dark stubbles on the back of his skull as she embraces him.
He never learns the contents of the box.

So just out of curiosity, what’re the Shepherds thoughts on Brionys whole amnesia situation? And follow up, what would they be like if they ended up with amnesia too? Sorry if two questions is too much, you don’t have to answer them if you don’t want to!
Hi there, how the ROs would react if they ended up with amnesia has been answered over in the #amnesia tag! As for how they feel about Briony's amnesia, it mostly goes:
Blade: it's a somewhat bizarre backstory, but not the craziest thing he's heard (especially in relation to everyone else). Mostly he sympathizes with her fears that something from her past could come back to blindside her, that aspect of it appeals to his natural paranoia so he's keeping a wary eye out in case that day ever happens and he needs to have her back!
Trouble: he feels bad for her; relationships are important to him, and while he lost his parents young, he at least knows enough about them to have closure about it--Briony doesn't have that, so he sympathizes with the 'not knowing' aspect of it and feels really bad for her! Mostly he just tries to keep her spirits high and not make her dwell on it, since nothing much can be done, so he never brings it up!
Tallys: amnesia is basically like her worst nightmare: having lived for so long and being a Keeper means history and personal recollection is really important to her, so she's privately horrified by what Briony's been through and is always around to talk about it with her, but she doesn't want to pry or bring it up unprompted... Since Briony's never brought it up to her, though, they don't end up ever really discussing it!
Shery: she feels bad for Briony, but at the same time sees how happy and fulfilled Briony seems to be as her current self, so she doesn't think it's too much of a big deal because Briony never seems to let it bother her? She's more focused on helping her feel at-home and comfortable and helping her learn "new" things rather than trying to recover stuff about her personal past and memories!
Riel: he's intensely curious about Briony's past: it's probably one of his biggest "private projects" at the moment, lol, he's been conducting quite a lot of research in the background... he knows that Briony isn't all that interested in doing any deep dives herself, but doesn't really understand that on an intellectual level. If it were him, he'd stop at nothing until he knew... Anyway, he's going to dig up as much as he can and just hold it in private in case the day ever comes that it could come in handy for her!
Chase: honestly, although he's sympathetic to Briony, there's also something kind of freeing about the idea of having amnesia? Of having the opportunity to start over, completely unburdened by the chains, burdens, and traumas of the past, and to create a new life entirely on your own terms? It's not like he envies her, but he can see ways in which it's not as bad as it might seem at first glance!
Red: he's pretty much in Riel's boat, but is more respectful of Briony's privacy LOL he's intensely curious about her origins, but won't pry unless she asks him to! Mostly he's focused in helping her re-learn magic and is kind of her tutor to keep her brushed up on lessons she may have "forgotten", and very patiently explains common cultural ideas or concepts that she's ignorant of. He's kind of fascinated by the idea of an adult Mage having no memory of how to formally use magic but still being able to wield it anyway, and is low-key keeping extensive notes about muscle memory, mnemonics, and etc.!
Ayla: she doesn't think too much about it, honestly! To her, Briony is Briony: the fact that she doesn't remember much about her past doesn't really have any bearing to her? 🤷🏻‍♀️ She feels a vague sense of protectiveness towards her, like the idea that one day her past might come back to reclaim her/take her away from the Shepherds, and Ayla's not going to let that happen easily lol, she's theirs now!!
Lavinet: she's sympathetic, but to her, Briony's amnesia is a small aspect of her and their friendship, so she doesn't think too much about it, especially because Briony herself prefers not to dwell or talk about it very much! I think the idea of being captured and held as a slave while having amnesia was more horrifying to her than having amnesia itself!
Halek: he like barely remembers Briony has amnesia because she acts so normal and chipper on a daily basis that it's easy to forget, honestly lol! When he does remember, it's like "huh. you know, that would be a bummer if I couldn't remember [x]" but other than that, it's not much of a thought to him because Briony herself doesn't really make it a big deal!
Hope that all makes sense!

I've not spoken much here about not really having been enjoying Frieren that much since it started - it was definitely fine I just wasn't connecting with it quite how I hoped to, and were it not for the production I'd be off the ride already. But man I really do have to say that these past three, maybe 4 episodes? The Aura arc I guess you'd say. Has just kinda fucking sucked lol. Already rough from premise alone, let's introduce more human demons and clearly establish them as having culture and intelligence, and then we set them up as wanting to do peace talks or whatever before Frieren starts being super racist towards them and then the show bends over to justify her racism. Like yeah sure the demons are now textually evil so Frieren's in the right but by god painting sympathy towards a persecuted group and then turning around and saying "every member of this group is intrinsically evil" is like irrefutably shitty. Ideally the show would do something with the whole passage of time and winds of change thing and prove Frieren wrong but I'm not here to engage with hypotheticals so who even gives a fuck, what's in front of me is shitty.
But fine, move past that, we really shouldn't but let's do that. Now the entire basis upon which this arc operates is us the viewer knowing Frieren is A) right and B) stronger than God, so we wait for the catharsis of her being proven right and killing Aura. Which is like 4 episodes of setup by the way! And yeah I mean. She does those things. Stark and Fern get some genuinely exciting-to-look-at fights in the middle of this. Frieren confronts Aura at the end of one episode and then it takes 2 episodes to see that followed up on, most of the runtime of the latter episode being a flashback dedicated to teaching us about the fact that... Frieren suppresses her magic so demons underestimate her. Like a fucking shounen protagonist. I don't even wanna engage with this weird recontextualisation of Frieren's character that makes her substantially less interesting, instead I wanna say that Frieren suppressing her magic was established fucking forever ago and Frieren being like 1000 was established forever ago but the ultimate climax of this arc is just her saying those things to the villain and her being shocked but who gives a fuck? We already knew this. I'm not on Aura's side here like I'm not invested in her shock, and Frieren stating those things as if they're anything new to us just feels like a waste. Apparently hiding your power level is despicable for a mage but says who other than demons who I know are textually evil anyway right? For all this we don't even get a cool fight Frieren just tells Aura to kill herself and she does and we move on, that's where our 80 minutes of buildup and Aura's suspenseful prominence in the OP led to. All this arc did was waste my time and be racist man.
I just don't understand the hype whatsoever. What do Frieren fans see in this. Better yet, why aren't they mentioning any of this when selling the show to people. Frieren is a contemplative and nostalgic insight into the life of a near immortal being and an exploration of how her experience with the passage of time changes her and how the people around her react to her, as well as a thematic exploration of the impact we have after death and how people remember us. That's what people will tell you Frieren is. They won't tell you it's a shounen action series where characters suppress their power levels and where the main character gets her skirt flipped up by a kid or they make small dick jokes about a main character. Like do Frieren fans talk about this amongst themselves? Like they've gotta acknowledge it right, there's no way they just don't even talk about what the series actually is. There's no way they're so insecure about liking a fantasy action series that they try prop it up as this commentary on the human condition just to hide the scene where Stark says he looks like he pissed himself. I'll admit this last paragraph is just me being angry at "oh anime fans" and isn't really building off my more legitimate criticisms from the prior paragraphs, but idk man Frieren's just so not what I expected and even though I think I'm doing a good enough job engaging with it on its own level it's still managing to disappoint me. I really am just here for the production whoring at this point. Style over substance to the maximum.

for dadwc, could i request “Hold my hand for a second. It won’t kill you.” for morrigan/leliana? bonus if smutty :p
okay this one was fun uwu im love them @dadrunkwriting 1249 words cws: none very smutty. much smut.
“Morrigan.” She bit back a sigh, straightening up from where she'd been tending to an herb bed to face Leliana. She had been expecting this.
“Leliana,” she replied simply. The other woman was… transformed. The lighthearted young bard Morrigan had traveled alongside, somehow bold and gentle at once, was now wary and analytical. The years had hardened her, an armor that had settled across her skin.
“What are you really doing here?” Wary, indeed. Though she supposed it was quite understandable.
“As you can see, I am tending to the garden.” She knew it was not the answer Leliana sought but was curious about her response to the deflection, eyes narrowing.
“That is not what I mean and you know it.” Her voice had a brittle quality to it now, where once she would have been fondly exasperated.
“No?” She tilted her head and blinked before smiling, done playing the part. “It appears not. Very well, I shall answer your questions, should you ask them plainly.”
“Why did you join the Inquisition?”
“If you will recall, I was handed over to the Inquisition,” Morrigan answered simply. Leliana scoffed, unconvinced.
“Naturally. And clearly you had to follow orders, could not have left of your own free will. In chains you were given to us, and in chains brought to Skyhold, is that it?”
She shrugged. “Where else should I have gone? Back to my mother? Or perhaps you imagined me building my own hut, raising my son in secrecy as she did? I was no longer welcome in the Orlesian court, nor would any other part of Orlais care to harbor an apostate.”
“All mages are apostates now,” Leliana pointed out flatly and Morrigan couldn't help but laugh, earning a faint scowl from the spymaster.
“‘Tis true, but of those ‘apostates,’ how many still wear Circle robes, hold themselves to Circle values? No, I am an apostate in a way that will never be tolerated in polite company. The Inquisition is as much refuge as it is opportunity.”
“‘Opportunity’?”
“Indeed. Think what you will of me, of my reasons, but there is nothing to be gained by letting a would-be god claim dominion over our world.” She took a step nearer and Leliana did not back away. “There was a time when you trusted me to do what was right,” she said softly.
“And then you left,” Leliana's voice was quiet enough to not carry, but no less venomous for it.
“I did,” she admitted. “But… ‘twas you who left first.” For the first time, Leliana looked away. “Why come to my fire so many nights? Why ask me for tales, share your own, only to leave when I finally invited you to my tent?”
“I… could not join you.”
“Why?”
“You know why.”
“Ah, yes, more the fool I. Failing to understand that the ways of flesh would shift your Maker's gaze from you.” Morrigan was surprised by the hurt in her own voice—she had thought this particular pain long since past. Leliana's poise seemed to falter for a moment.
“I was naive,” she admitted softly, still not meeting Morrigan's gaze. “And arrogant, believing myself to be His chosen. But He did not choose me. I have learned to accept that.”
“Pity ‘twas not in time,” she said acerbically, Leliana wincing. But a moment later she straightened, meeting Morrigan's eyes pointedly.
“There is time yet,” she said. It was quite the unbelievable statement. “Should you still will it.”
“You are full of surprises, no? Is this your new way to spy on recent acquisitions?” Leliana smiled at the question, the bright, mischievous smile Morrigan recognized from years past.
“Only those who catch my eye,” she teased, voice low. “Have you time now?”
“Ah-”
“Take my hand,” she continued, “it won't kill you.” Her smile remained the same, Morrigan swallowing before taking the offered hand.
Their fingers laced together and Leliana led her through the keep to a simple room. Morrigan glanced around the spartan decor, faintly surprised to be brought to the other woman's chambers directly, although she supposed there was nowhere else fitting.
With the door shut and bolted behind them Leliana turned to face her, pulling her hood back to reveal the vivid shade of her hair, slightly mussed. They were still holding hands, Morrigan letting herself be pushed against the cold wall.
Then Leliana kissed her.
At first it was gentle, searching, curious—but it quickly became heated and demanding, her free hand slipping between them to stroke across Morrigan's bare stomach. She pulled back just enough to speak: “do you want this?” The question made her laugh again.
“Only for years. You are late enough as it is, do not stop now.” She pressed into Leliana's touch, watching as the woman smiled before kissing her again, her hand shifting up until it grazed the simple top Morrigan wore. It took no effort for her to slip under the scant fabric, holding her breast while her thumb dragged back and forth across her nipple. She shivered under the ministrations, gasping into the kiss as Leliana slotted their legs together.
They finally broke the kiss as they started to grind against each other, Morrigan pulling her hand free so she could use both to explore Leliana's curves before settling on her ass, dragging her forward into every thrust.
She didn't think this would feel so good, although part of it may simply be that it'd been a very long time. But Leliana's shaky moans and sighs were thrilling and Morrigan was already soaking wet, each thrust against the other woman's leg driving her that much closer to the edge. Despite this, it was Leliana who came first, thrusting fast and hard before suddenly stilling, her hips stuttering forward a few times as she gasped. “Don't you dare stop,” she growled, using her grip on Leliana's ass to continue dragging her forward, rutting shamelessly against her leg.
After a few moments of that she sighed, frustrated, and pushed Leliana gently away. “Lay down on the ground.” The woman frowned before doing as she was bid, watching as Morrigan settled atop her. “Now raise your knee like—yes,” she gasped as Leliana's tense thigh pressed against her groin, each thrust dragging her wet smallclothes across her cunt, a slick tension that just brought her that much closer. “Just like that,” she managed as she ground hard against the other woman, sometimes slipping down to press her clit against the clothed spur of Leliana's hip.
After some time Leliana reached back and abruptly pulled Morrigan's one leg higher up, grinding against it again. “Greedy little bard,” she teased, feeling Leliana shiver under her. A moment later she gasped as she was forced onto her side, both of them moving desperately against each other, until finally that sweet edge approached and Morrigan let herself fall, arching against Leliana as she rode through the orgasm, shivering as she slowly came down only to find Leliana still seeking her own finish. “That's right,” she whispered, “show me how much you've wanted this. Spill against me again. I want to hear you cry out my name as you come.”
“Morrigan,” she barely managed, sounding utterly shocked and needy as she jerked hard against Morrigan's thigh.
They laid tangled together while they slowly caught their breaths. Then Leliana rolled away with a giggle, Morrigan arching a brow. “Well. Maybe next time we’ll actually manage to get undressed first.” Now she smiled, too.
“That would be preferable, yes.”

3, 8, 12, 15 for Elyse, Ragna and Thorne from the OC ask <3
3. What are their religious affiliations, and how does their worship (or lack thereof) affect their day-to-day life?
Elyse - She technically worships the 8 Divines, but isn't exactly devout beside the very occasional prayer to one or two of them (e.g. a prayer to Arkay when she realises she couldn't escape her execution in Helgen and that their last rites were interrupted, and a prayer to Akatosh to keep her alive as she went to confront Alduin). The only time it really impacts on her day-to-day life is that Balgruuf worships the 9 Divines as opposed to the 8, but she's entirely understanding of the matter and thinks that people should believe as they wish (and she's used to it anyway, her mother worshipped 9 Divines too).
Thorne - she doesn't really have any religious affiliations. She'll on occasion yell things such as 'Divines!' but she doesn't really affiliate with anything. It doesn't really have much impact on her life, though she will get frustrated at Heimskr pretty often over his preaching about Talos. She doesn't even follow Nocturnal, even being a Nightingale.
Ragna - she was raised by her mother to follow the 8 Divines until the incident that led to her family dying and her de facto adoption by the bandits at Knifepoint Ridge, specifically by one called Fenric. When Fenric caught her praying to the 8, he more or less told her 'the Divines won't help you, the only thing that'll help you survive out here is money'. So since then, she's made her belief in the 8 a lot more subtle - money is what controls the sway of her life.
8. What is their favorite kind of food that can only be found in Skyrim?
Elyse - she loves sweet food, so anything sweet really!! In particular she's quite fond of a snowberry crostata - though nothing could beat Lydia's cooking (which is technically only found in Skyrim, and Elyse is very incompetent with cooking so. It doesn't take much to impress her.)
Thorne - She will on occasion indulge on some of Skyrim's different cheeses!! Usually accompanied with some spiced wine.
Ragna - she's admittedly grown quite fond of the meat from creatures hunted in the Falkreath forests. It's quite simple, but it's what she grew used to.
12. What are their prejudices? What groups have they come to think of as 'other'? Mages? Nords? Elves? Lollygaggers?
Elyse - she likes to think that she doesn't have many prejudices, given what her parents experienced in Winterhold being a mage/non-mage couple... But she does have a few, mostly unconscious, prejudices about the opposing sides in the civil war.
Thorne - she has quite the strong prejudice against Altmer, believing them all to be Thalmor or Thalmor-affiliated, after having been a prisoner of the Thalmor for a time earlier in her life, pre-thieves guild. It's mostly out of fear of being tortured again for information that she does not know, but when with the Companions she does try to work on it and move on from some of that trauma.
Ragna - she's very much of a 'everyone is an enemy' towards anyone who isn't in her closest circle of associates. She was simply taught by Fenric not to trust anyone. But money can change her prejudices pretty fast... And Siddgeir pays her enough to keep her on-side. It's admittedly quite useful for her job as a housecarl - it keeps her alert and on her toes.
15. How do they feel about consorting with daedra? Do they collect their artifacts? Are there some they would never interact with vs. some they would consider calling upon?
Elyse does not like daedra, end of. The closest thing to a daedra she trusts is her own conjurations (i.e. Spectre the wolf and her weapons). She's aware that Hermaeus Mora keeps trying to pull the strings to have her as his champion but she refuses any of his boons and will not carry out any of his tasks. The only thing in Hermaeus' favour she has done is defeat Miraak. She also has a distinct dislike for Mephala over what the Ebony Blade did to Balgruuf and his family.
Thorne is a Nightingale, so she is technically under Nocturnal... But she took what Karliah said to heart about it being little more than a contract, so that's all she sees it as - a contract. She wasn't happy about signing away her afterlife though, and doesn't want to make other such sacrifices so won't associate with any other daedra as a result. She's got a storm coming with Hircine then lol
Ragna hasn't associated with any daedra, beyond watching Sinding escape the Falkreath jail from her own cell. She's probably not the sort to associate with them, given her attitude towards others as mentioned in the previous question... But she wouldn't say no if she happened to get hold of any of the artefacts (the chaos she would cause with the likes of Mehrunes' razor would be funny though so maybe uh. Maybe I'll find a way to help her get hold of that...... Maybe a gift from Falkreath's new Thane, aka the not created as of yet dragonborn from her reality.)

tell us about an oc u never give the spotlight
Oh hmmm.... which OC do I never give the spotlight.... I feel like Sorcerer fits the bill the best? Either him or Beast lol
Anyway, Sorcerer. I have many feelings about him. He is kinda hard to write, since he acts different depending on who he is interacting with, and none of them are his true self, since he has sold his soul to the Void for power.
The true Sorcerer is a pessimistic and weak man, that served as a court sorcerer to a King, using dark curses to prevent the Kings rivals from rising to power. This of course led to rumors of his dark nature among the common folk, and Sorcerer being shunned by those around him. That said, despite his dour personality, he was always trying his best, and lived an unremarkable and uneventful life.
A lot of stuff happened, which I won't go into right now (he fell in love and that got complicated FAST), and Sorcerer sold his soul to the Void to gain power to show up one of the most important people in his life. This however forced his soul into the Void, leaving behind nothing but a "reflection" of what he was. Sorcerer could no longer feel joy, sadness or any other emotion. Great for mental health. That said, he is also immune to all kinds of damage, so that's nice.
Due to his new, non-existant nature, Sorcerer becomes very influenced by how others percieve him, so the rumors of him being an evil wizard came true. Some fun ways this plays out: Haleph sees someone he can be miserable with, so Sorcerer is bound to lament his fate when around the undead. Beast thinks Sorcerer is a haughty, "better than you" type, so Sorcerer acts very arrogant around her. Hero does not understand what Sorcerer is on about, but she "knows" he's cruel and callous, which is why Sorcerer starts acting like a crazy madman when around Hero.
The only one who can see through this, is Mage, because he grew up surrounded by the tricks of the forest spirits, so he can see the true nature beneath the illusion. Making Mage the second person to be able to see the true Sorcerer. The first one was his love, mentioned above. This might play into how the gang defeats him, hehehe....
That's the short of his deal. I personally find him really interesting and love to think about him and the tragedy of his character, but I find it really hard to write for him...

Show us your ocs!!!!
Okay okay. Note that I'm bad at remembering to take screenshots, so the ones I have will have to do. I'll do my video game ones, including Dragon Age (origins and inquisition) and Baldur's Gate 3. Yes, they're all very similar I know, and yes I like playing as elves shush.
Baldur's Gate 3
Current Tav: Rion About: Half-Elf/ Rogue/ Thief/ Urchin Canon Romance: Gale
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So this is Rion, and he's romancing Gale. He's pretty charismatic (12) but don't ask him to lift anything. He's like every other guy in the game and has a total of 8 STR. You also can't see it here, but he has red highlights that show up in the sun. As for personality, he's mostly good aligned, although he will sometimes cause problems on purpose, especially if he thinks it's funny. He's a sweetheart and has a bad habit of picking up stray children (he wants to protect them like he wasn't when he was a kid), so yes, he finds the tiefling kids funny and even gave them some tips on how to improve their scams. Fun note: He's transgender, which is why he makes certain decisions (He got magic hrt don't ask me how it works it's magic), especially if it comes to affecting how he looks.
Also, I didn't realize that there was another half-elf with his name in the game until I met them. Was a bit funny, since they pronounce it like Rye-on and he pronounces it as Re-On.
Dragon Age Origins
Hero of Ferelden: Da'len Tabris About: City Elf/ Duel wield Rogue/ Assassin Canon Romance: Zevran Arainai
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Da'len is my Tabris Warden! Her name means "Child" in Elven, and the story behind that is her father heard a mother calling to her child, and thought it was a wonderful name despite her mother's (rightful) disagreement. Turns out, she's just permanently named 'Kiddo' (which earns her some weird looks from those who actually understand elven to her annoyance. She didn't choose her name, her shut-in father did). Always the troublemaker in her family she wasn't ready to settle down at the beginning of her adventure, giving her family a headache, but that doesn't mean she won't kill for them. She fell in love with the assassin who tried to kill her. She's somewhat grated against humans, which gets her in trouble a lot, especially when she doesn't put up with their bullshit, and even more so when she thinks a knife is a good way to solve a problem (I mean, sometimes it is). Still not sure who's bright idea it was to keep her as the leader of the group, but nobody important died, so that's gotta count for something, right?
Ironically, despite having a mabari, she's not really a dog person.
Dragon Age Inquisition
Inquisitor: Ferris Lavellen About: Dalish elf/ Archer Rogue/ Assassin Specialty (I also played him as a mage at one point.) Canon Romance: Dorian Pavus
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Ferris! He's a Dalish hunter turned savior for a god he doesn't even believe in! (Well, he sort of recognizes the maker as "a god" but more like the human's god versus his pantheon.) He originally had brown eyes, but due to the Breach and it's magic, he got very green eyes that sometimes weird people out because of how unnaturally green they are (No, they never change back, so good thing he looks good with green eyes). He struggles at first because he has no idea what proper human social cues are, but eventually he figures it out. He doesn't really like being a leader, but does it because someone has to fill the role, and he's the only one who's going to do it. He wasn't too sure about Dorian at first, but he came to fall in love with his sarcasm and flirting. (Ferris is not subtle about his flirting with someone who could be considered an enemy socially, something that makes Cassandra and Josie want to pull out their hair)
Fun fact, this boy right here is how I figured out I'm a gay trans man!
So that's my OCs from those games. If anyone wants to learn more about them, feel free to drop an ask! I know I got a bit ramble-y here, but I had fun!

Been trying to gather my thought on Kass Lavellan's journey so far
Tumblr media
(my boi decked out with the bones and leather of dragon he hunted in true monster hunter fashion)
beware a very very long post about my boi
Story wise he has met Stroud but hasn't gone to meet the Warden Commander. (personally been postponing + i need to mentally prepare for wicked hearts and how i want that to go). Got the mages and they are in alliance now. Running around Emprise du Lion trying to get mroe info on Samson and the red templars. He is not as angry anymore as he was at the start of the game. Sure he feels like he has purpose and a goal to reach and with all the madness of Heaven and everythign else. The whole "Herald of Andraste" i think really bothers him. Not only because it's connected to a god he doesn't really believe in but also how people have started treating him. I think he lost his faith in the Elven pantheon too when he lost his sister but kept goign through the motions just to try fit the clan. Being Inquisitor hasn't really made him feel better or even safer. The threats to Josephine, the red lyrium , him being an elf in a position of power. The talk he had with Solas after the escape from Heaven continues to linger on his mind. I think he is constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop - with him being an elf AND a mage, he is waiting for the moment he becomes a spacegoat in all of this. He was prickly in Heaven and was mostly focused on closing the rifts and making sure the peope around him survive but after Heaven he started to realsie he needs to know more about the politics of the regions and the allies. He has been relying on Josephine to teach him since she seems the most reliable + is the ambassaor for a reason. Even if he doesn't agree with everything Vivianne stands for he sees that her advice how to navigate the Game are valuable and respects her for it and her magical talents. Another voice of reason whom he trusts is Solas (OH BOI IS HE IN FOR A TREAT IN A FEW YEARS). Currently using dragon hunts as way to vent his frustrations and not burden others. My boi is going through it and doesn't know it only gets worse from there on. General Thoughts on companions: Blackwall - world weary but somehow naive? There is somethign about this man that he thinks is odly refreshing. Sera - was starting to think of her as a younger sister with all her antics but had a big fallign out after her personal quest. The whole ""well yeah people got hurt but i sticked it to the noble douche"" was the breaking point. Originally he thought that she would protect her "people" and was willing to overlook some bs as far as it was to help but now he sees her for a reckless liability that doesn't really care for the good of the people and is just in it for her selfish retribution. (i knwo there is much mroe to her story but). He was an older brother and the feeling of resposibility to protect and care for those who younger/weaker than him is never going to leave him and he won't allow for Sera's BS to hurt bystanders. I think he might be contemplating kicking her from the Inquisition altogether but hasn't made up his mind about it. Solas - at first he kinda eh about him, not too happy about his stance on the dalish but after some conversations and a spat on the "well they don't know the past and are miguided!! Well why don't you tell me and let me learn huh". Slowly warmed up to him and started to appreciate his view on the world. Kass was slightly suspicious of him because Solas seemed to know a bit TOO much. He knew the artifact that ripped the fade was elven, suddenly he found a fortress for the inquisition but i think Kass views Solas as the only person around who can understand him to a degree. With Sera being so anti-elvish and SUPER NOT COOL WITH MAGICand then everyone else either worshiping him or hating his ass just for beign mage and or elf. I think Kass is slightly in love with Solas - with his passion for Fade, his different view on spirits, his ability to get the bigger picture , those murals are super cool too and overall his willingness to guide and motivate Kass to learn more and not be bound by conventions and to view the world with more curiousity.(Kass for sure has competency kink ya'll)
The Iron Bull - kind of mistrusts him due to the whole spy thing but overall a cool person to hang with. Cool stories about mercenary life and the Qun (haven't finished his personal quest so wonder how that will change)
Cole - Kass finds him fascinating and is always ready to listen to what cole has to say. He might even have a small scroll where he writes down what Cole has mentioned and tries to figure out the meaning (part of exercise to learn to write and read in the languages of the allies the inquisition deals with).
Vivienne - She is powerful, she is is cunning and knows how to survive in Orlais and thrive by the looks of it. He really respects her, even if he doesn't agree entirely on the Circles coming back but he agrees that things need to change.
Varric - has his own agendas but he seems the inquisitor's corner for the moment. One of the few people Kass can act as a normal person. Enjoys his stories. Cassandra - wasn't too sure how he felt about her at first. Unlike Cullen, Kass had more time to get to know her and start to see her as more of her own person rather than just a Seeker. One of big breaks? from the image of her he had in his head was for sure learning how much she like varric's books. At this point i do think Kass might even say he consideres her kind of a friend. Dorian - the bae. I think Kass fell for him during the time travel quest. Dorian is basically the only other person in existance who UNDERSTANDS what's at stake of Corypheus isn't stopped and that def affected their closeness. Dorian is not like almsot anyone else he knows in his attitude towards magic, Dorian is passionate baotu topics he cares about and Kass just ate that up. They do fight on the topic of slaves but through it they learn more baout where each one is coming from. Kass is truly looking for a deeper connection wiht someone (There is so much tot lak about them aaaaaaaaaaaaaa) Advisors: Leliana - at the begining he was a bit scared of her but has since grown to value her opinion and in awya see her as kindred spirit
Cullen - still very cautious around him cause ex-templar but tries to be supportive of his decision to cut lyrium and contact his family Josephine - his politics coach. Learning of her history as bard and her motivation to do what she currently does def alleviated her in his eyes.

RELATIONSHIPS
Tumblr media
Erza never had a girlfriend or boyfriend since birth. The only person she ever held any romantic feelings for was her childhood friend, Jellal. The flames between them never died out. They had this 'will they or won't they' situationship that only they could understand.
Pre-Tower of Heaven, she dipped her toes into dating and tried getting to know other people (she doesn't call it dating but it kind of is). But every time she went on not-dates, it was always a failure. Being one of the most powerful mages in Fairy Tail, she was a big shot, and any man who knew what she was capable of got intimidated. She went through a phase trying to dumb herself down to make it work, like purposely losing a game whenever the dates involved sports. It never got far because there really wasn't any connection with her pretending to be someone she was not. Bisca and Mira knocked some sense into her and reminded her of her self-worth.
After moving on from that period, she stopped going on those blind dates, and focused her attention elsewhere. She realized that she wasn't desperate for companionship. However, there were days when she got sensitive over her lack of romantic life. She may be a strong, independent woman, but she also wanted love. She still dreamed of getting married and having kids one day.
Post-Tower of Heaven, she renewed her ties with Jellal. That incident stirred old feelings. She is in-love with him, but it's complicated between them. The lingering feelings of yearning and love will always be there, but it's not what she's focusing on at the moment. It's something that she represses. She's contented with her friendships she had built in the guild. A part of her is waiting on Jellal, but there's another part that is willing to move on and accept that they're just meant to pass by each other's lives.

More Rambles.
After things are calm. After the story ends. Maelgwn and Amalabairga sit beside one and another. It's been actual decades since they last spoke. Even longer since she left him to find... Something. Resolution? Revenge against nature? Relief from the weight that has been on her shoulders since she was old enough to actually understand what it meant to be a princess? She didn't find anything she was looking for. She won't find it here either.
They sit together. He almost looks the same as he did the day they married. His fur is thinner in places, his wen droops over the sides of his faces and would cover his eyes completely had it not been carved to allow his cataract filled eye a few more years of vision. But his white fur doesn't show age nearly as fully as her black coat.
She's grey at the muzzle, her paws look coated with the frost that took a few of her toes and both her ears. He fur is thinner too, there's places where thick scars stop it from growing all together.
They both sag a little more, they're both thinner, less muscle and fat padding them out. Maybe it's just the difference in how they hold themselves.
Maelgwn still keeps his head up, shoulders square and paws neatly arranged like he's waiting for the leader of the hunt to come grade his posture. She used to sit like that too, but she's calmed with age while he's just cauterized with it. She leans, she lets her body take whatever position is easiest on her well used joints.
For a long while neither of them speak. There's still so much anger and regret between them. They both still need all the tragedies that befell their relationship to be the others fault. Neither of them can accept that changing the seasons would have been an easier feat than changing their fate.
Neither of them speak, until Maelgwn does.
"Did your sister ever tell you what she said to me on our wedding day?"
"No?"
"She said it was a damn good thing we looked so different, otherwise with how similar we could be, she would swear she was seeing double sometimes."
"Are we all that similar anymore?"
"I don't know. Would you still choose that little human mage, the one with royal blood and plants all over him, over your pack?"
"I didn't Choose him over my pack, I chose him over death. He found me out in the cold and- shut up"
"I didn't say anything."
"Yeah but you had that look on your face. "Oh here she goes justifying herself blah blah blah""
"It was more a "Damn I missed her" look but go on... I never got to know why you would pick him over me... I never remarried. Always waited for you hoping that you'd come back but you didn't..You didn't come back and you didn't wait for me too."
"I couldn't look at you. After that winter... I never saw You, I saw our pups. And i remembered how angry I was at you and how jealous I was that you got to say goodbye. And... And that morning when I left. I had been dreaming about us and them and in the dream the six of us had just gone to bed. Then I woke up. And you were there, exactly where you had been, but our pups were missing and I was still confused from hibernation. I went to look for them Maelgwn. Walked right out into the snow completely forgetting they were gone. I don't know when I realized it, other than it was too late and I was lost and grieving them all over again. I don't know how long I was searching, or how long I was walking after that, just that I passed out by a river and woke up with a human camp built around me. He was leading some magic adventure soul searching thing. And he said he hadn't known why they chose their path, other than that it was guiding them to something. And that he was glad to finally know what it was because clearly I was who they were meant to find... Don't believe a word of it really. It was dumb luck. Luckiest day of my life... Maelgwn, I wish you could have met him. You would have hated every cell of him. I did for so long. But He had this way about him. He was so small compared to us, but absolutely fearless when we interacted.
He could put a storm to ease with just his words, and I needed that more than anything. I didn't stay with him for long. Moved on within the year, as soon as I was fairly certain where our pack would be I was marching home to you. But every step I took... I just saw You and your stupid anger and my head filled with such Bullshit about what you and our pack mates would say when my ugly face turned up. And I couldn't do it. I couldn't go home. I made my own way that year, and when winter came... I went back to him. You know how much hibernation terrified me. He promised he'd be awake the entire time to look after me... He sang me awake that spring and I found myself surrounded by the garden he'd created to keep himself busy while he watched over me. And... And I'd been dreaming about you and our pups again, but waking to Him easing me into spring like that? I loved you, but I needed him."
Maelgwn listens even if it hurts to hear. "You know, Funny thing is that I saw our pups too when I looked at you. It was the only thing that kept me going until it was the entire pack counting on me in your absence that meant I couldn't go die on top of their graves one winter or another. But I understand. I've... dreaded waking in spring for so many years because it always meant another three or so seasons of swallowing despair until winter might finally take me where it took our pups... but this year I woke to singing surrounded by flowers. I hope I wake the same way next year."
They sit together in quiet for a long moment. Mutual understanding settling between them. until so suddenly a few pieces click into place for Amalabairga.
"Wait- are you fucking my great grandson?"
"Maybe, Listen I didn't think Anyone could have a tighter-"
"Maelgwn!"
