Rockstar!gojo x art student!femreader
synopsis- satoru gojo fell in love with you when he was 17. He tried everything to gain your attentionâjoining the student council, participating in every extracurriculars, performing well in academics yet nothing worked. That was until high school. In college, having been forced into a band, he needed to find a new artist for their posters which he requested shoko to take care of. What he didn't expect was shoko to bring you as a volunteerâ
warnings- college!au, satoru being heads over heels for you, heâs so damn in LOVE save my boy, friends to lovers, misunderstanding, SEMI PUBLIC SMUT, fingering, oral fem receiving, PUSSY DRUNK GOJO, dirty talk, creampie, BALL OF FLUFF, ANGST, mentions of smoking and alcoholism, super cute ending
w.c- 8.2k (have faith)
a/n's note- i'd poured out my heart in this (especially the smut). i hope you all do like this. your comments and reblogs are highly appreciated as it helps motivating me for writing long ass fics. taglist is open you can ask me to join. love ya' all!!
When satoru met you for the first time, he was 11 years old.Â
You were the daughter of his motherâs friend whom he heard of so many times. Though the accidental reunion in the mall while grocery shopping was the first time satoru ever had the opportunity to meet you face to face.Â
It was a totally random encounter, coincidental even, you can say when your mother recognised satoruâs mom and both squealed like teenagers. They'd a lot to catch up with, thus having their kids entertain each other in the play section was convincing enough for them to chit chat in a cafe.
And this is how satoru ended up being stuffed, hand in hand with you, to go enjoy in the play section as his mother patted his back, asking him to be good to you.Â
âDon't leave her hand, okay toru?! Make sure you both stay together.â His mom said before scooting herself with your mom.Â
Satoru looked at you, his hand locked in yours as you made eye contact with him before shying away, looking in the other direction. He stood confused before pulling you to the gaming section, without any word.Â
He scanned amongst the box of video games, before pulling out one which caught his eyes with his unoccupied hand. He gave a side look to you, reluctantly asking âyou want to play this?âÂ
You gaze down at the video game he held in his hands, eyes sparkling a bit, if satoru wasn't seeing things, then raise your head to look at him again. âIt has vibrant colours.âÂ
Satoru nodded, feeling a little giddy that you liked his preference. âIt's called mario kart.â
âOh.â Your eyes widened as he revealed the name.Â
âDo you know how to play it?â You shake your head at his question. âThen I can teach you!âÂ
âReally?âÂ
âYeah, let's go and install it on the playstation.âÂ
By the time satoruâs mother returns with your mum, they find satoru giggling along with you, hands still locked with each other, as he points to various stacked video games.Â
That day slowly came to an end and satoru didn't get to see you for the next two years till your giggles became a distant echo and your face a blur.Â
By the time he was 14, he almost forgot you.Â
Until that one day when he noticed you, sitting alone with your lunch staring at the sky at the campus of his high school.Â
You were biting on your chopsticks with dreamy eyes as recognition drew in satoru's mind.Â
Y/nâ he thought. His brows frowned, thoughts slowly going in a muddle. How are you here? eating lunch in his high school campus unlessâ you're a student over here too! Satoru felt foolish, his lips slowly curving in a smile lifting one hand, abandoning the basketball in the other to greet you.Â
However, before he can get his words voiced out to you, gaining your attention, a brown haired girl comes up to you dragging you along with her in a hurry.Â
Satoru's hand froze in mid air, awkwardly stretching it above his head before bringing it down and turning towards his friends. He sprinted back to his group resuming the game, yet his mind stayed with you and your dreamy eyes.Â
He wanted to say âhiâ and watch your eyes grow wide before nodding your head just like you did back then. He wanted to show you the basketball he was holding and maybe teach you how to play ball just like he did back then.Â
âOi satoru! Why are you missing the catch?!â one of his friends shouted, breaking him free of his daze. âsorryâŠtaking a break!â He said, excusing himself, before going and plopping himself down on a nearby bench.Â
He recognised the brown haired girlâYura. She often came to him asking for little favours. Did she know you? A friend? You studied in the same school and yet he only saw you today. Where were you all this time? Satoru was the same age as you. So you were bound to be in the same class, maybe different sections but he knew students from the other sections too. How come he didn't notice you yet?
The recess was over soon and he ran back to his class. Before entering the class, he noticed you again, hurrying to the class next to him.Â
Class 1-2.
Satoru felt silly as he read the classroom name in his mind.Â
As the final semester rolled on and a new semester started, satoru found out class 1-2 changed to class 2-2 and this year he was in the same section as yours.Â
He was excited to finally be able to talk to you without any awkwardness. After all, you were in the same classroom nowâ which means you will know him when he introduces himself on the first day of class. You will see him, introducing himself aloud and clear and recognition will draw on your face as you remember him.Â
That's what he initially thought the night before the first class. Until satoru felt the urge to perfect his speech and kept on practicing it, holding the crumpled sheet in his clammy hands, past midnight.Â
As a result he woke up late and by the time he hurried himself to school, the self introduction was half-over. He mumbled his apologies to his homeroom teacher, before hastily introducing himself and going to his assigned seat.Â
With that his perfect speech plan of gaining your attention bombed miserably. He raised his head in the direction of your seatâfirst row second desk, way far than hisâ fourth row last desk.Â
That's when he decided with the determination inclining in his heart to get your attention and make you remember that it's him.Â
The plan was simple. He just have to wait till recess and watch his chances closely. Once you're free and alone he will go make a move saying âhelloâ! Maybe even ask for your number.Â
Recess hour came by and his plan chose to bite the dust with girls and boys swarming around him to get his number and be friends with him. The group kept him occupied for the entirety of the recess and by the time he was done you were no where to be found in class.Â
Similar things happened the next day and the next day and the next day, never ceasing to leave him alone.Â
Satoru eventually came up with another planâ excelling in academics. The more he's good in academics, the more are the chances for you to come up to him wanting his help to understand a problem. And the plan worked exceptionally well with girls frequenting him with a doubt in their lessonâ except for you.Â
This time satoru came up with his active participation in extracurriculars and sports. The more he active he is the more is the chance of you joining the same activity or maybe seek his assistance for the upcoming sports day.
This plan too, was indeed prodigious and did attracted a lot of attention except yours.Â
His last option was of joining the student council. As the spirited member of the top student council, you might come up to him with a problem you're facing or anything you want to change.Â
So, without thinking much he did joined the student council, hoping to finally gain your attention. However the following week, concerns and requests for changes decreased promptly. The other council members sighed, few scrutinizing satoru. After all no one in the entire school would want their so very handsome, energetic and popular Satoru Gojo to have a heavy work load after school.Â
âSince we don't have any work to do now, thanks to gojo-kun, I'd gladly like you all to only maintain the regular class desk arrangement.â the student council president announced before leaving the council room.Â
Satoru sighed, this isn't what he thought. He just wanted your attention not the entire schoolâs. Everyone looked at him, when he walked, when he sat, when he ate, people always turned around to take a second look. Yet you never laid your eyes on him. Even being in the same class you never came up to him to chat.Â
Back slouched, with his tie undone, he slammed the door open of his classroom to pick up his bag.Â
You flinched.Â
Hand covering your mouth, a dust wiper on the other, you looked at him as he froze.Â
One entire year, was how satoru spent to gain your attention, to get you look at him, and when it finally happened the time seemed to halt. The sun rays pooled into the room with slow breezes messing up your bangs and satoru couldn't mutter a word but stare.
Conscious about him gaping, he tore his gaze away from you before shutting the door, this time gently.Â
The council president asked them to take care of class desk arrangements. However, the desks in his classroom have always been arranged, even before he joined the student council.
âyouâŠum arrange the desks everyday?â He said fixing his tie, slowly walking up to his desk, wiped clean by you. âYes.âÂ
Satoru accompanies you cleaning and arranging for the rest of the time in complete silence. Soon you take your leave, and so does satoru but this was the time he was happy like really really happy.Â
He didn't exchange any words of recognition with you, from the day at the mall. He didn't talk. Yet he was beaming radiant, for just being with you, momentarily alone, in peace.Â
That day soon came to an end and another year passed by. Satoru did nothing but admire you from afar. This was the only way he felt the closest to you. He saw how you wiped and arranged the desks everyday; help people without even letting them notice; lend the only pencil you have without a word; and care for the garden whose garish flowers were disregarded by others.Â
The more he saw, the more he knew you. And the more he felt his heart slipping away.Â
You were kind, gentle and soft. You noticed people behind their masks. You regarded the smallest of the things with such care. And your delicate hands, often smeared with paint, held the responsibility of others without complaining.Â
He often saw yura asking favours from you, shoving her cleaning duties to you, sending you to get her lunch from the 7-eleven nearby and never once you said 'no'. You were so so precious.Â
He knew heâd to stop; the way you engrossed him, linger on his mind all day to the point that he was unable to think of anything but you was straight up creepy but his eyes never stopped searching for you.
Even in the midst of the crowds on a random road his eyes would unconsciously seek for you.Â
And by the time he was 17, satoru was hopelessly, absurdly and miserably in love with you.
Another year passed by and he could do nothing but stare. And the fact that you often looked at him too made things even worse.Â
He was so down bad for you that he couldn't keep on going like this anymore. He was so sure he'd confess to you on the day of graduating the high school, not caring about rejection.Â
Satoru stayed up an entire night, perfecting his confession. But by the time the graduation ceremony ended and he went to look out for you, you were nowhere to be found.Â
He asked yura about you, to which she replied that you went back home early and satoru had his heart broken at 18.Â
He couldn't move on easily but giving you up was the only option left. Unwillingly, satoru made his devastating decision of giving you up. He never thought he would see you again until a few years later in college, shoko brought you right in front of him.Â
âWe need a new artist to cover up for this concert.â said geto suguru, stuffing his phone back in his pockets. âWhy? What happened to ren?âÂ
âGot himself into an accident and fractured his right arm.â Geto plops himself back down on the couch beside satoru, before pulling on the fretboard of his bass.Â
âShould visit him then.âÂ
âForget it.âÂ
âWhy?â frowned satoru, geto suguruâhis best friend, the one he went to middle and high school with, was not the type to feign indifference. His behavior indeed had satoru confused.Â
âNanami informed he got drunk at the last concert before getting himself into the accident. Drunk driving it is.âÂ
âDid yaga find out about this?âÂ
âFortunately, he didn't. Nanami covered the case before him finding out,â geto brought his hand, swiping back his string of bangs, âif it reaches yaga, he will ban us from using the campus stadium.â
âlucky I'd sayâŠso what now?â The next concert is in 3 days and the band poster is still incomplete.Â
Shortly after satoru joined his college, suguru started a band along with two other guys. The band was doing well but due to a disagreement they decided to split up. Suguru then suggested satoru join the band and the following year they gained another member named nanami kento.Â
They used to hold performances at random pubs but as its popularity increased, the college decided to give them the campus stadium to hold their concerts. Something they did extra was hiring an artist to do their band posterâ hand-drawn. It'd become a little traditionâ a lucky charm says suguru, and now that their artist had broken his hand right at the eleventh hour before the concert they will have toâÂ
âFind a new one.âÂ
ânanaââ geto shuts him before he could finish his sentence. âNanami is trying his best, so am I. So, you try finding one too.â
âHow am I supposed to?âÂ
âWell I'm sure if you go with a face like this to the art department, people would volunteer in a line.âÂ
âSame goes with you, why don't you go and ask. I'm sure if you could wear your shirt a little loose you can surely get your clingy ex find a good one." Gojo says in a mocking tone, grabbing his guitar and looping it around his back before leaving the club.
He was sure annoyed, but he will have to find one, geto wasn't in a mood to joke earlier either. Rather than going by himself, he decided to ask shoko get it done for him; he was sure she'd agree for a few packs of cigarettes.Â
Walking on his way to the parking lot he texted shoko to meet at their regular cafe.Â
âSup!âÂ
Satoru smiled knowing shoko could never fail him, even if she didn't agree right away a little guilt trip will do.Â
âAll good?âÂ
âYeah, what do you need?âÂ
âJust a little favour.âÂ
âAnd what that might be?âÂ
âGet an appropriate artist from the art department. Ren broke his arm and suguru's so down about going himself, yaâ know about his ex,â shoko started grabbing her cup of iced coffee to retreat when gojo slammed two packets of cigarettes on the table. âI've two more packs to offer.âÂ
Shoko returns to her seat, a big smile on her face. âOkay! Since I'm your empathetic, gracious and compassionate friend, I will try and see what I can get done.âÂ
âYes pleaseâŠâÂ
âI'm not doing it for cigarettes yaâ know.âÂ
âMhmmmâ satoru nods his face dramatically.
âGet the other two packets out.âÂ
âSure.âÂ
Satoru knew four packets would get the job done as he parted away from shoko, driving his way back home.Â
And the next day when shoko texted him that she got a volunteer and is bringing her to the club, he didn't expected it to be you.
Shoko looped a hand around your shoulders âso this is the club,â chewing a gum, âand this is satoru gojo.âÂ
âHiâŠâ you said looking at him, before taking a look at those instruments laying behind.Â
Itâs you. It's really you. He couldn't believe his eyes yet stood unblinking as if you were some mirage and will fade away once he closes his eyelids.
âGojo?â Shoko waved a hand infront of his face and realizing he didn't respond to you, he bent his torso bowing to you.Â
âWoah,â shokoâs face scrunched up, cringing at his behavior, âwhen did you start being all formal?âÂ
You giggled at her comment while satoru hushed her with a series of âshut upsâ.Â
âI'mââÂ
âY/n.â satoru whispered almost as if reminding himself the way your name sounded in his lips. âY/n, i know.âÂ
You chuckle at his words, tugging a strand of hair behind your ear.Â
âYou know her?â shoko tilted her head at him, not expecting you to be acquainted with him.Â
âWe went to the same high school.â You say when satoru does nothing but gape at you with dreamy eyes.Â
His heart did a whole somersault at your sentence. You remembered him; you remembered his name; you remembered he was in the same high school as you. The fact that you regarded him made him so giddy that he was practically ready to throw his hands up in the air or kiss the floor on which you walk.
âKayâ I'll leave you guys to talk then.â She smirked before raising a cocky eyebrow at satoru, excusing herself from the club.Â
âSoâŠyou're the only one?âÂ
âHuh?â
âIn the bandâ i meanâŠâ
âOh noâ he dragged, âthere are two more members along with the back musiciansâŠâÂ
You humm, taking a proper look at the club.Â
âYou like it?âÂ
âIt has vibrant colours.âÂ
Your words echoed in his ears, the same which you said to him at the mall. Oh how bad had he wanted to hear those.
âThe jazzies,â you read the name of their band aloud, âwhy jazzies? You only play jazz?âÂ
âNoâŠwe play all sorts of musicâŠit's just a name suguru chose for the band.âÂ
âyou do originals?âÂ
âBoth originals and covers. Anything suguru comes up with.âÂ
Your mouth forms a little âoâ as satoru explains to you.Â
âgeto seems to be doing all the stuff, what do you do?âÂ
âYou know him?â satoruâs brows furrowed. âWhom?â you ask.
âgetoâŠgeto suguru.âÂ
âOfc, he was in the same class as us.âÂ
âOh.âÂ
Ofcourse. Both he and geto were in the same class as you. It was no big deal for you to remember both of them. However, accepting that he wasn't any special was bitter.Â
Satoruâs eyes followed your figure as you went out to reach for his guitar, mindlessly drawing your finger on its printed patterns.
âYou didn't answer my questionâŠâ
âI guess I found you for our band.âÂ
When none of you says anything, satoru breaks the ice, clearing his throat.
âYou know how to play?âÂ
âErrâŠno.âÂ
âI can teach you.âÂ
He slided his index among the few string instruments before pulling out an acoustic one, bringing it to you.Â
âHold the fretboard with your left hand,â satoru pulled the strap over your shoulders, âand bring your right hand over the body, fingers near the sound holeâ yep that's right,â he turned your back to him, gently holding the back of your palms.Â
âNow, pluck the chords for me,â his chest was against your back as he guided you through the strings.Â
âLike this?â you ask him.
âYes, you're doing very well.âÂ
The guitar in your hands, played smoothly as satoru guided you through it.Â
Just like when he taught you how to play mario kart.Â
Satoru looks down at you smiling in excitement. Oh how cute you looked like that. He could admire you twenty-four seven, never wanting to tear his gaze away, for you're that ineffably eesome in his eyes.Â
Time almost ceased when you looked up at him, eyes crinkling with a smile that soon died as red creeps up your cheeks.Â
Satoruâs face was mere inches away from you, his eyes wavering down to your lips.Â
âSATOâRUâ oh,â geto bursted in along with nanami causing you both to flinch.Â
He quickly leaves your hand.Â
âY/n??â Geto dragged out your name, looking at you with his eyebrows knitting and lips forming a silly smile.Â
âHi,â you pull the strap over your shoulders abandoning the instrument on the nearby couch. âI'm here to volunteer.âÂ
âYou do?âÂ
âYeahâŠâÂ
âThat's great! I can't believe satoru even managed to talkââ satoru smacked him mid sentence.Â
Nanami, for some reason, found the ceilings very interesting today, totally ignoring his two seniors.
Geto explained to you about their little tradition of hand drawn posters and showed you the posters they used for the last concerts. You, then, asked them to send them a group picture of the three and their preferences for colours and themes.Â
âFor that I might need your numberââÂ
âI- i can send it to herâŠâ Geto passed a suggestive smile at satoru, which he ignored and awkwardly forwarded his phone to you.Â
âYeah that sounds fine. Here's my number, save it and text me later.âÂ
âKky!âÂ
You pull the sling of your tote bag up to your arm, giving them a little nod, before turning your back to leave.Â
âWait!ââ satoru held your arms frantically pulling you back. He hurried to the back near the couch you plopped the guitar and shoved it to you. âT-take it.âÂ
âAhâ no I can't do that.â
âTake it. You can learn how to play and I- I can teach you.â he tried not to stutter yet failed miserably.Â
âNo i reaââ
âconsider it as a giftâ from me.âÂ
You frowned a bit but agreed anyway.Â
âThat's really sweet of you satoru! I will wait for your text! Bye!!âÂ
He waved back to you.Â
âWhat was that?â Geto implies in the direction of the exit door through which you just left.Â
ânothing.âÂ
Later, You sent the photo of the finished banner to satoru. It took you 42 hours to finish it.Â
Satoru on the other hand was practicing really hard, totally different from his half hearted performances from the previous ones which wasn't unnoticed by the other members.Â
He has to be the best. After all, this concert will be different from the previous ones. This time you will be there to see him, cheer for him, and notice him.Â
You soon bring the banner rolled up to the club. âWoah! You really did a great job.âÂ
âThis is much better than renâs.â says nanami before going back to his drum set, giving you a thumbs up.
âSatoru?âÂ
âY-yes.âÂ
âYou liked it?âÂ
âI loved it. It has vibrant colours.â You giggled at his answer, shifting your direction to his gaze. His fingers seemed to flake off any dust on the surface of your work, handling it so gently.Â
It wasn't his fault he felt so overwhelmed. All these years he'd yearned for one kind word from your lips yet he was left starving.Â
And now you'd drawn him with such precision, that it was as if you were accustomed to drawing him for the hundredth time.Â
His heart fluttered at the thought.Â
âI will be there at your concert,â you say, turning your back to him. âAll the best!âÂ
The campus stadium was full with a bunch of students and hippies, it was really hard for satoru to try locating you amongst the sea of crowds.Â
The music rang loud, brisking fiery cheers from the crowd, full of vim and vigor. The spotlight shone on the threeâ geto with his vocals and string of bass; satoru with his acoustic guitar; and nanami with his drum set.Â
The crowd roared in excitement as music coursed through their veins.Â
Will you be cheering too?Â
Satoru raised his head from the guitar, plucking chords effortlessly, to his audience.Â
And as if it was fate that drew both of you together, his eyes found yours. You were there in the vip section, along with shoko and another girl. You were moving with beats, swaying your arms in rhythm to their music.Â
His eyes locked in yours as you waved a hand at him. Oh how, how pretty you looked. Everything except you was a blur to him.Â
The crowd goes even more wild, seeing satoru blush, not sensing it was you who caused it.Â
The concert continued till past midnight as the vibrations thrumming around the air slowed and wrapped up with their ending song: âWhere Our Blue Is.â
As the applause slowly start to dissipate, satoru pulled off his instrument, running to the edge of the stage, and hopped down the raised platform.Â
The college girls shrieked baffled, some even reached out, grabbing on his wrists and clothes. He politely got out of their grip making his way to the vip section, geto and nanami following him.Â
The still air felt electric as he approached you.Â
âyou liked the show?âÂ
âOfc it was amazing!!â The girl beside you answers in your stead, whom he now recognised as yura.
âIt was really good.â you say swallowing a laugh bubbling up your throat at his huffed out appearance.Â
âThanks to your banner, it even attracted more audience.â geto remarked, placing his arm around satoruâs shoulders.
âThank you.âÂ
âYou should thank me for bringing her in.â Shoko reclaims, looping her hand around your arm, âlet's go steal some shots.âÂ
âOh no i can'tâ i don't drink. And I need to hurry back home it's late.âÂ
âKyaahhâ you've let me down y/nniee. Only two packets of cigarettes can get my mood uplifteââÂ
âI will bring it tomorrow.â You say shutting up her whines.Â
âkk bye and text me when you get home the rest are joining me right ?â
âCount me out. I'll be driving her home tonight.â Satoru says sheepishly, ignoring the smirks and exchanged looks of his bandmates, a slight blush creeping up his cheeks.
âNo but I was about to go home with her ââ yura interrupts.
âSatoruâs fine. You're coming with us.â Shoko dragged her along with geto and nanami, which satoru was glad of.Â
Finally he'd be alone with you.
He guided you to the parking lot from the back of the stage, before getting his car keys out.Â
It's metallic jingle echoing softly as he presses the button on his key fob. The car responds with a soft beep unlocking as satoru opens the passenger door, holding it open for you.Â
âHere,â he gestures with his other hand, âget in.âÂ
âSure.â You say gulping thickly.
The thick smell of your cologne mingling with the leather scent of the car.
He closes the door before sprinting to the other side, getting himself in. âDon'tâ â he stops you when you reach out for your seat belt. âAllow me the honorâ his finger brushes against your skin as he reaches out for the seat belt.Â
Your heart practically jolts at his action.Â
The click of the seat belt buckle echoes softly in the quiet car, as he straightens back to his former position.Â
âWhere do you live?â He clears his throat, starting the car engine and flicking on the headlights before pulling out the car into the driveway.Â
âIn the downtown.âÂ
âThat's quite far from the campus, how bout I drive you everyday back home?â His eyes suggestive, making you chuckle.
âI can't let you do that.â
âWhy?âÂ
âSince it's far from the campus and you won't be visiting often.âÂ
âWho knows, I might be visiting your place often.âÂ
You turn your face from the window to look at him.Â
âWhat?âÂ
âI will have toâ to teach you guitar.âÂ
You crack up at his silliness, finding yourself melting again.
âOkay fine. But that still doesn't counts.âÂ
âWhy not!âÂ
Since that day, satoru did visited you often, sometimes barging in with shoko and sometimes alone teaching you how to play guitar, plucking on chords and notes.Â
And you attended all of his concerts. Their previous artist has recovered now and has resumed his work, so you no longer work with them. However they insist you tag along each time and it's not like you complain.Â
You liked satoruâs company. He was handsome, charismatic and popular. You'd watched him your entire high school. He was the one of most popular students, good in a millions of things, starting from academics to being athletic. He'd win every sports competition and even participate in all the extracurriculars. You'd admired him for he could do the things which you didn't had the courage for.Â
You liked how he didn't judge people, helped them in their need, and even took care of those garish flowers nobody seemed to double take.
You'd previously met him before high school, though he never brought that up. You wondered if he even remembers the day at the mall. You wanted to ask him so bad, howeverâ
Your world was only limited to papers and paints.
So you painted.Â
You painted him so many times that you'd have more than five sketchbooks with paintings full of him.
You wanted to be friends, maybe even more than friends.
But that didn't matter now. He was near you and you would do anything to keep your thumping heart in control and not have satoru cut you out of his life.Â
But how can you?
How can you control it when satoru so gently, so lovingly, takes your hand in his. When he smiles so sweetly at you. When he teaches you how to pull chords and other instruments. When he drops you home from college almost everyday. When he hugs you and tells you to take care.Â
How are you supposed to be just friends when he's so overly affectionate to you?
Or maybe it's just your overthinking.
Satoru was always polite and sweet, he'd always been sweet to others and you were no special.Â
âWhat are you thinking baby?â
You come out of your daze, rolling your eyes at the nickname.
âHow many times do I have to tell you not to call me thatâŠâÂ
âNot my fault you aren't paying attention to meâŠâ he pulls you closer to him, resting his face on your shoulder.Â
âHave you always been this hungry for attention?â you ask, getting yourself comfortable abandoning the guitar beside you on the couchâ of the club.
âI've been starving.âÂ
You cringe at his words. Satoru has another concert today and they just finished practicing an hour ago and now they are taking a break.Â
Geto and nanami and other back artists wanted to get some fresh air so they left you and satoru alone to entertain each other.Â
âAre you really skipping on me?â He looked at you with puppy eyes.Â
âI've a gallery exhibition tomorrow.â You need to scoot back home to get ready for it. It's a big event for you to showcase your arts.Â
Satoru hummed, nuzzling his face on the crook of your neck, âI'll be there. You're going to do great.âÂ
An uncertain lump forms in your throat, hard to swallow, you say nothing. Your heart was in a conflict again, no matter what you can absolutely notâ
âI will be going then. All the best for your concert.âÂ
You push satoru away, reaching for your tote bag from the side of a random arm chair. âWait I will dropââÂ
âWho's leaving?â shoko barges in with yura and others.Â
Satoru points at you.Â
âI just got here. You can't leave already.â
âYup! Yup! Please stay a little longer, baby. I'll drop you back home, no worries.âÂ
Shoko exchanges suggestive glances with geto and they somehow persuade you to stay a little longer.
They start practicing for another round when shoko pulls your head closer, âwhat do you think about gojo?âÂ
âHuh?!â You shout over the music, unable to hear her.Â
She grabbed your hand and pulled you outside, with Yura following closely behind you both.
âWhatâ âÂ
âWhat do you think of gojo?âÂ
A burning sensation hits you slowly as shokoâs question registers in your mind.
You ears turn red.Â
âEhâŠum h-heâs a nice guy. A nice musicianâŠandââ
âAnd?â Shoko wiggled her brows at you, a sly smile on her face.Â
âA-a nice friend.âÂ
âJust a friend?â You nod at her, seemingly more embarrassed at her implications.Â
Shoko's face literally radiated disappointment. It was as if someone told her that cigarettes are now banned in the country. âI think he's interested in you,â you choked on air at her remark. âNo?âÂ
Yura shrugged.Â
The music slowed down and then paused, bringing your conversation to a momentary halt.Â
Satoru rushed outside, complaining about why you left in the middle of his practice.
âBruh, chill, I'm not trying to steal her away from you. We're just talking!â Shoko jokes as you laugh all flustered.Â
Just when you were about to leave one of his fangirls suddenly appeared from nowhere and threw herself into his arms, wrapping hers tightly around his neck. He stumbled back a step, surprised, before regaining his balance but he didn't put her down rather he spinned her around before setting her back down, with a polite smile on his face.Â
The other members just saw the scene unfold with amusement. Nanami was surprised at the fanâs boldness and geto simply observed the scene as shoko rolled her eyes, finding it hysterical.
âWhat do you think of shokoâs remark?â said yura, looping her hand around your arm.Â
âWhat?â You say suppressing the slow tinge of jealousy.Â
âAbout gojo being interested in youâŠâÂ
âI-i don't think so.âÂ
You try to laugh it off.
âYeah, he's just polite. To pretty much everyone.âÂ
Her words felt like a splinter to your heart. You shouldn't feel like this. It'd happened beforeâ not now again.Â
Yuraâs right, satoru is just polite and will do the same for everyone what he does for youâ because he's kind. And you're no special.
The entire ride was silent. Satoru kept asking you if anything was wrong but you just guised a smile at him, insisting it was nothing.
The next day at the gallery event, you behaved oddly. You smiled at him but didn't reach your eyes, your answers to his question were of one word, even avoiding his touch.Â
âDid I do something wrong?â he asked warily.
âNo.âÂ
Days passed by and you distanced yourself more from him.Â
Satoru, on the other hand, was almost losing his mind. His world turned upside down. You stopped coming to his concerts, ignored his texts and even refused to let him drop you back home.Â
It was yesterday youâd allowed him to teach you the guitar yet today you behaved as if you'd long forgotten him. You were cold and distant, leaving him puzzled by his own thoughts upon your sudden change in demeanor.Â
He couldn't help but wonder whether he'd done something that made you this upset?Â
You'd said it was nothing.
Then why?
What the fuck did he messed up?
Satoru missed you terribly and violently.
He eyed you from the inside of his car parked a bit far from your department. Today was another day you refused his offer to drive you to class. âI'm kinda sick so I won't be going.â This was what you'd texted him the morning and yet there you were getting off your uber.Â
You lied to him.Â
âCome with me to their concert today.â Shoko urged you, her lips pursed in a thin line.Â
âI'm sorryââ
âNo you're not so sorry. Tomorrowâs Saturday, come with me, gojoâs getting mad without you.â
You suck in a breath at the mention of his name.
âWhat's wrong?â shoko says sipping the last of her drink before plopping it on your tea table.Â
âNothing.âÂ
âThen come.â
You agreed eventually. Attending the concert won't be a big deal.Â
And it wasn't, except for satoruâs piercing gaze burning holes in your back. You accompanied Shoko backstage and casually greeted everyoneâ including him.Â
âGod, haven't seen you in so long.â geto side hugged you as nanami gave you a nod of acknowledgement before running off to the stage for some last minute preparations. âSatoru missed you like crazy.âÂ
You attempt a weak smile in satoru's direction, darting a hesitant glance his way. His gaze was fixed on you, but his expression was unreadable, almost giving shivers down your spine.Â
One of the other members suddenly hurried over to Geto, urgently speaking about some issue, he politely excused himself and exited the room, closely followed by Shoko. Now, you were left alone with Satoru, the only two remaining in the room.Â
âI should go and check what's the probleââ you try sprinting your way out the door, âwaitââ when satoru stops you.Â
His hand on your arm, preventing you to go any further and when you struggle to get out of his grip, he tightens his grip even more slamming you to the wall, pinning you caging your body.Â
âWhat's wrong with you?âÂ
âGojo you're hurting mââÂ
âGojo?â His voice cracked, grip losing before letting your arms go, âwhy? Why must you do this to me?âÂ
âDo what?â You drift your gaze away unable to look at satoru, who's this close tearing up.
âThisâ why must you do this? Why must you ignore me? Why must you be distant from me? Why must you lie to me so that I won't bother picking you up or dropping you home? Why must you reject my affection?â He sucks in a breath âYou know I can't live like thatââÂ
âwhy?âÂ
âDon't pretend like you don't knowâŠâÂ
âno no don't say it,â you throw your hands up in the air frantically, âdon'tâ I canât fall againâŠnoâ I know you're just being polite and you will do this for anyone, but I canât help it if I don'tââ
âI love youââ he whispers, bringing your hand up, placing the palm flat to his chest.
âNo you don't.âÂ
âYes I doâ what do you mean you can't fall again,â he suppresses your struggles of wrenching free your hand from his grip. âYou have no idea how crazy I'm for you. I love you and I've loved you since I was 17. I was about to confess to you on our graduation day but you just disappeared leaving me alone. And now that I have you I'm not letting you goâ make no mistake baby, if there's anyone Iâd ever kneel forâ it'd be you.âÂ
Thick silence covered the entire room, except your heavy exhales. Satoru gojo was inches close to you, your hand still laid flat against his heaving chest.Â
âB-but I wrote you a note confesââÂ
âWhat note? I neverâŠ.â confusion twisted on his face bitterly.Â
âYou threw it in the dustbinâ the one I wrote to you the day before graduation.â
His face told the truth, as he shook his head denying it. He never received any note from youâ nevertheless having the audacity to throw it in the trash when he'd been hopelessly in love with you all these years.
âYura told meââ you shut your mouth as the realization hits you. The person whom you considered as a friend backstabbed you long ago.Â
She lied about him discarding it while it was actually her who had stolen it off his desk before satoru even noticed.
Your head raised in embarrassment, ready to apologize for the misunderstanding when suddenly, Satoru's lips met yours in a tender kiss. The kiss was filled with such affection and tenderness that you felt as if you might melt in his embrace. His arms held you close, firmly yet gently, as he deepened the kiss. Your heart pounded in your chest as you responded to his kiss. All thoughts of the misunderstanding were forgotten in that moment of pure intimacy before satoru pulled away with frowned brows and a dazed smile.Â
âTell me, would I kiss anyone the same way I kiss you?â he pulled you again, smacking his lips on yours as he snaked a hand around your waist, the other, still firm, holding your palm.Â
You could feel his heartbeat going rapid the more he deepens the kiss, sucking on your upper lip.Â
He pulls away again.
âTell me, would my heart beat the same way as it beats around yours?â He smacks his lips again, this time pinching your waist making you gasp as he slips his tongue in.
His hand fumbles with the hem of your dress, pulling away again, a string of drool connecting both of your lips. âWould I be breathless the same way as I'm now?âÂ
His hand travels up your inner thigh, till it reaches the wet blotch of drenched silk. You grasp his shoulders, when he starts drawing circles over the fabric, smirking before nuzzling his face on the crook of your neck.Â
âSatoru, what if someone walks inââ your body jolts, nails digging into his back as he pulls the fabric to the side, plunging a digit in without any warning. âLet themâŠâ he goes back to sucking your skin while rubbing his thumb over your swollen clit.Â
Your teeth sank on your bottom lips, his finger slowly plunging in and out of you. âNngh âtoru, youâreââ small trembles quivered through your body as he plunged with a faster rhythm.Â
âShh baby! Let me take youâ he inserts another digit as your teeth dug even deeper into your lip, stretching you and filling you so well.Â
He was stroking you, curling his fingers inside until hitting your most sensitive spot. Sweat beaded your forehead as your trembles gave way to full body shudders, shutting your mouth with your hand not wanting to be loud.Â
Satoru drew himself back from your neck, satisfied marking and suckling, withdrawing his digits, slick from you as you wince at the loss of his fullness.Â
He brings them up and sucks your essence off his fingers with a pop. âI want to eat you out.âÂ
Before even you can make out his words he kneels down bunching up the fabric to your hips pulling your panty down properly and latching onto your swollen clit.Â
âFuck âtoru.â he lapped his tongue on your clit, drawing circles, tasting your sweet before drawing himself back, âI am fucking you baby.â He says, licking a fat stripe on your vulva, his rigid tongue swiping back and forth over your clit sending sensations that make your body jolt. âHere and rawâ he hummed against your pussy, his breath warm and hot sending vibrations to your core, before vacuuming on your clit.Â
Your hand grasping his hair, as he worked on your orgasm.
He plunged his digits again, rhythmatic with the little pants escaping your mouth, along with the slick sounds of your hips buckling down his fingers.Â
He smirked internally at your enthusiasm.
âSo fucking nasty for me huh?â He said against your pussy, licking and sucking till you were nothing but withering in mindless pleasure. You were taking it well, suppressing your moans into breathless pants until he sucked, fingers pressing the most sensitive spot inside you.Â
A shriek fell past your lips, knees buckling, followed by a string of moans and whimpers. âOhâ fuck..â you try closing your thighs which he prevents with his iron grip of one hand, forcing it open till he has better access. âDon't even dare closing on meâŠâÂ
The wet sounds of his fingers, plunging in and out of your gummy walls, echoed throughout the empty room.
Something coiled hot and fuzzy in the lower pit of your stomach. You clenched hard around his finger, when the bass-heavy beats of the band's concert began, causing you to involuntarily shove satoruâs face deeper into your cunt as you heard voices from the stage outside.Â
Geto's unmistakable voice rang out, accompanied by the heavy drumming of nanami. They had started performing without satoru.Â
âNnâtoru they startââ your voice died down into a breathless gasp as you felt your pelvic muscles clench, tension looping around your entire body as fiery sensations erupted. You arch your back against the wall, unable to stop your toes curling at the intensity of his tongue lapping, finger fuckin' you, as your vision gets blurry.Â
âYeahâŠcum for me babyâ his velvety murmurs were all it took for you to turn into a mess of sensations, your body erupting as your high came down bursting, dripping and spilling down your thighs, his chin and his neck.Â
Satoru lapped up the drops carelessly strewn about your skin, his tongue tracing a path along the droplets splattered on your inner thighs as he savored everything with anticipation.
âTell me, would I kneel infront of anyone and let them cum this hard on my fingers?â He straightened himself up, âand then drink it up like a pussy drunk male whore?â his gaze never left yours, wiping the leftover slick from his chin with the back of his hand before licking it clean.
The music from outside has now gained its intensity, thrumming even louder.
Noâ you mouthed.Â
Satoruâs gaze was still fixed at you, when he unzipped his pants, his aching cock sprang out red, already leaking precum.Â
You gape at his girth.Â
It was big.
And fucking thick.Â
Leaning in, Satoru brings his lips close to your ear, his voice clear over the blaring music from outside, âLike what you seeââ
You didn't get to answer him before he slammed right in.Â
A cry of pleasure tore from your throat, as you loop your hands around his neck, nails digging on his back.
He hissed out a breath, restraining himself from moving till you adjusted to his size.Â
Only then did he slowly pull it out leaving only the tip inside. You grimace at the loss of fullness until he slams back in causing you to clench around him.Â
He let out a low guttural moan which was almost inaudible to you over the roar of music if you weren't so close to each other, feeling the raw desire of his voice vibrating on your skin.
âTell meâ hahh- would I let anyone clench this hard on me if this weren't you?âÂ
You were at a loss for words.Â
The kind, polite, sweet satoru you knew was gone. In his place was someone who fucked hard.Â
When you don't answer he pulls out and slams right back in harsh, eyes gleaming with wicked intent.Â
Satisfied, satoru guides his one hand to tapping on your thigh suggesting you wrap your legs up around him.Â
He repositions his dick on your entrance, before supporting your weight with one hand, pinning your body completely to the wall, while the other hand grabs your neck, choking you before giving you a sloppy breathless kiss.Â
âYou like it don't yaâ hmm fuckâ so tightââÂ
Your cries came out choked as he pounded into you, in an insane manner, desperate and primal.
âTell meââÂ
ThrustÂ
âdo youââÂ
ThrustÂ
âstill think I'm just being polite?â
Thrust.
The roar of geto's voice singing out aloud different notes masked out the filth of your moans.Â
The sensation was in again, hot and uproar, coiling beneath the core of your consciousness. Satoru sensed you being close to your climax, continued to plow into your pussy, now supporting your weight with both hands against the wall.Â
Your toes curled again, nails digging down his back almost scratching the fabric, âyes that's it love,â your eyes rolled back as you arch your neck unable to handle the pleasure, âcum for meâŠâÂ
Your mouth forming a little âoâ, mind blank as your eyes saw stars. The only consciousness left in your body directed you to the burning of your heat, till it came crashing down.
You came hard letting your head fall on his shoulders too spent for anything.
Satoru too chased his high, thrusting into your swollen pussy, his cock twitching inside you, till you felt him getting sloppy and tense before cumming into you.
The music was still very loud, beats thrumming your flushed veins.Â
None of you said anything, remaining in the same position. Satoru pulled himself out, his cum dripping out your vagina, before walking over and placing you on a nearby chair.Â
He cleaned you up gently tugging your clothes back and fixes himself before cleaning the mess near the wall.Â
âTheyâ they started performing without youâŠâ you huff out, drained still in the very euphoria of your pleasure satoru showed you.Â
âI told them to do soâŠâ he shouted over the noise.Â
You remain stunned for a while, letting out a breath. âI'm sorryâŠI avoided you.âÂ
âHere I thought you were giving me a thousand kisses as an apology.âÂ
You chuckle at him, back to his normal selfâ your sweet, kind and maybe not so polite satoruâŠ
He came over to you, lifting you effortlessly before plopping himself down on the chair with you on his lap.Â
âI missed you.âÂ
âI missed you too.âÂ
âNo but I missed you like crazyâŠâ he pouted. ây/n be my girlfriendâŠplease.âÂ
Tears start forming in your eyes, overwhelmed, you never thought the satoru gojo you met at the mall, the satoru gojo you loved your entire high school would someday ask you to be his girlfriend.
To paint his heart with your love.
âI will.âÂ
âno waitâ marry me instead!â
You dug your face deeper into his chest, laughing at his playfulness. And satoru just smiled.
Finally he would be yours.Â
you and Satoru started dating since then and things couldn't have been any better for him. He practically announced to the world that you were his girlfriend, always picking you up and dropping you off from campus, and claiming a kiss as his reward. Youâd also cut Yura off, not wanting any more negativity in your life. Satoru was yours, and you were his. And He couldn't be any happier.

6/2 Update: Security deposit has been paid!! Thank you so much to everyone for the help đ I still have to pull together all of June rent for my current place which is $675. Thank you everyone for all of the help so far đ
Iâm asking for help with June rent, which is $675 and needs to be paid ASAP.
Cashapp https://cash.app/clawshot
venmo https://venmo.com/rmck89
ko-fi https://ko-fi.com/roebeanstalk
Any help at all is super appreciated. Every dollar adds up, and shares are so helpful too. I know that Iâve received so much help from people in the past and I canât thank you all enough. I hope that this is the last of these that I have to do.
Needs:
June rent: $23/$675
Security Deposit: $495/495 Paid đ
Bonus:
July rent (First month at new place): $495
Movers + Uhaul: $300-350
More info on my situation under the cut!
Thank you so, so so much.
I have a history of mental health issues, and as a result I have a very difficult time getting and maintaining employment. My mental health also impacts my ability to keep up with and complete freelance/commission work in a timely manner. While I have made some incredible steps forward lately thanks to the right combo of therapy, medication, and a support system, I am still not at a point where I am self-sufficient yet. I am getting there â and I am committed to keep trying no matter what.
Original post blurb, taken out of main post since deposit has been paid:
My landlord has decided not to move forward with me as a tenant due to my history with payment/mental health. While this is frustrating as heck, itâs allowed me to find a better, more affordable housing situation. I have signed a lease at a new place and move in July 1st!Once the deposit is paid, my space on the lease is officially secured and I am good to go. This is the main thing that I am looking for help with.
Why I need help:
This new housing situation is incredible for me â itâs a room in a quiet house with two other queer folk, and the rent is very affordable compared to my current situation. The new place is $485/month, the current place is $675/month. Even with utilities, my total overhead for shelter will cost less than rent at my current place. If I can secure my spot in this house and move forward, I see such a clear path forward for me in terms of self-improvement and self-sufficiency.
For the first time in 15 years, I feel like I can tackle the things ahead of me. If youâre able to help out I would really, really appreciate it.
What Iâm doing:
I am job hunting for something that works well for my situation. With the cost of rent, I think that a part time job will be able to cover it. The process of getting a job is difficult for me, but I am committed to continuing to work at it.
On the art front, I have occasional comic coloring jobs that help me out. I also have commissions â I have finally been moving forward at a good rate and have been really happy with my work. In time, this will be able to be a more standard income route. I also have a Patreon that brings in about $65/month.
Cashapp https://cash.app/clawshot / venmo https://venmo.com/rmck89 / ko-fi https://ko-fi.com/roebeanstalk
Thank you so much for reading over all of this. Thank you to everyone who has helped with donations or kind words or reblogs. Thank you so much to every commissioner and customer who has been patient as hell with me on artwork, communication, and stickers. Thank you thank you thank you. Thanks to every single one of you I have been able to keep pushing myself forward, and I'm so happy to keep doing it and make good on everything. And eventually, give back to my community. I love you all so much, even though i don't know any of you that well. Thank youuuu. <3

đŽ - Aries Sun/Moon and Rising natives are so naturally charming, I swear their faces play such a big role in their beauty, especially the eyebrows
đŽ - I think is easier for mercury in fire signs to call and tell you everything instead of writing messages, I think they wanna say it face to face
đŽ - Moon and Sun can be introverted in the 2H/4H/6H/8H/ and 12H because these planets usually are more mysterious in those houses
đŽ - Jupiter in Virgo/6H and at 6° 18° have so much luck when they're looking for a job! It might actually be manifested into your subconscious
đŽ - If someone has their Jupiter in the same sign as your Venus, they can be so much into you without realizing it is something that grows over time
đŽ - Virgo Moons think more logical than others because they loveee to keep it in order, everything has their own time in this space
đŽ - If you have your 11H connected to the 8H your *fake* friends may want to use you for money, take care of such people (How they can be connected? Look if the ruler of the 11H is making an aspect with the ruler from the 8H)
âââââââ±ââââ°ââââââ
đ§đ· Deep in the colors and the streets
Lost in the funk favela beats
Prisioneira đ§đ·
âââââââ±âđ§đ·ââ°ââââââ
đŽ - If your 7H is connected to the 10H can indicate your spouse can be the breadwinner and the provider in the relationship (How they can be connected? Look if the ruler of the 7H is making an aspect with the ruler from the 10H)
đŽ - Your 7H Lord/Ruler and its aspects can also tell you a lot about your spouse and your relationship with them.

Chorando estarĂĄ ao lembrar de um amor
Que um dia nĂŁo soube cuidar

THE BLESSING THAT IS COMING ON YOUR WAY IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS.
ê°â from left to right ; intuitively choose the pile your mind, heart and soul desire for. if you are having trouble choosing the right pile for you, hereâs some tips you can do ; (1) take a deep breath (2) close your eyes (3) ask guidance from your guides (4) finally open your eyes and you can choose the right pile for you by the guidance you ask from your guides. if you are still having trouble by choosing the right pile for you let me know because i am willing to help and guide you.
1 - 2 - 3
4 - 5 - 6
reader's note: you can choose more than a pile.
PILE ONE
what a very incredibly energy coming up for this pile! i think a lot of rough things have been through with you in the past weeks or months however as i sense here, you may receive an unexpected friendship with someone or a group of people that may continues to grow further until lifetime. i am not quite sure enough if this connection is about literal "love" or it's just a pure friendship however it's gonna bring so much joy and confident about you as this person or people make you feel belong, counted and loved. this is a type of new beginning relationships for some of you however it seems like there's something off about your energy here, it seems like you cannot accept this friendship instantly because you may have this trust issues because maybe there's something terrible happened from your past but i know you'll get throughout this. you may cut off relationship with someone who hold a female energy and you may considered this individual toxic or you may receive an apology from this person. the number 9 and 4 (94) is significant for this pile.
PILE TWO
what a gentle surprise for this pile people. i sense that you maybe worrying too much about your finances but i'mma here to say that you gonna find incredibly balance about your finances in the next days. i sense that you may struggle a lot about your money however you may find yourself in the position in a month or next days in a better place, well, it may not be that better as be soft and a fresh of breath an air just like a millionaire but it's enough to cover all of your basic needs. besides, you may already decided to break off your wants to start saving up more money. my spirit guides advice you to do moves and make sure to welcome abundance in your life.
PILE THREE
this may seem like it has a little aura energy of the first pile, so, if you find it attractive, you already know what to do. i sense two things here, (1) is reunion and the (2) other one is you reap what you sow. let me explain the first energy. so, this first energy coming from this pile is about reconciliation with someone, this person is somewhat from your past that lose connection with. well, it can be an ex partner or an old friend. perhaps, i don't detect any harmful energy from this reunion but a delightful moment of joy. the second energy is about collecting and reaping what you have worked hard for in the present, this seems like a feeling of self-fulfillment of accomplishing a certain milestone that you may struggle to achieve of. what blessing you may achieve in the next days, you may find it a solution to your problem. as well that you might start to express yourself through art more in the next few days.
PILE FOUR
recognition. is there any chance that you may be trying to be a star or an influencer on social media? or maybe this was all a dream and perhaps maybe a sense of me seeing that energy haha however if it's a "yes" then you will be giving an opportunity to be appreciated by some people. you may be attracting a lot of people especially suitors but be careful because not all of them have good intentions towards you. i also see here that you may receive something special or offer from someone that will bring a smile to your face.
PILE FIVE
a huge spiritual glow is what i'm getting for this pile. there's an action here that you may be a group of spiritual groups recruiting you or if not, there's a big influence into your spiritual gift that may heal or if not, then it can help people in some way by guiding and giving advice to them. you gonna feel that power in the next upcoming days and weeks, you gonna feel that the energy feels like shifting. just a reminder to take care of your body especially your because it may hurt a lot this days or for the upcoming ones. you gonna receive a strong protection from your spirit guides and angels.
PILE SIX
someone who has unsafe and destructive intentions is about to be removed into your life. this person has been eyeing you for a long time now and they're about to be cut off totally. this person is somewhat causing you harm for making you feel insecure about your physical and mental health. it can also be that this person might deceit and lied about you in the past that may cause you loss of trust towards them. so, after this person is out of your life. a new beginning is about to start, just be willing to embrace change and strive for your own personal growth. in the next weeks, you gonna find yourself mostly your mental health in it's best and steady aiming for peacefulness.

âౚà§Ë àŁȘ over the moon [ benedict bridgerton x wife!reader ]
summary â based on a request but went slightly off with it aka when your husband starts to stay up painting till late you start plotting a good plan to make him go to bed with you and actually rest instead.
warnings â pure fluff, since the rumors of sophie being latina sparked, personally went crazy with the information so itâs implied that reader is latina also, mentions of sex (nothing explicit,,, implied as part of a establish relationship).
side notes â English is not my first language, so if you find any mistakes iâm sorry in advance. this is for my latin girlies out here reading in tumblr, working extra hard to translate your works to bring new content to the page, tkm <3 reblogs, comments and likes are much appreciated,,,as brittany broski once said: i'm a benedict bridgerton believer, i'm a benedict bridgerton ally.
You really didnât know what you were getting into when you accepted Benedictâs marriage proposal.
Nobody told you that loving an artist is a tricky thing, cause while youâre always giving Benâs new ideas, you hate him at the same time when heâs at the art studio until late, painting as if the absence of light itâs not enough to separate him from the canvas.
God, it just drives you crazy. He lacks of a schedule so heâs able to keep on painting till the rays of light start to appear again in the window he leaves opened all night long, and youâre afraid heâs going to catch a cold if he continues with his bad habits.
It suddenly hits him, that inspiration he ends up being the victim of, kissing you quickly as he escapes so fast you arenât able to say anything when he disappears leaving you alone, you tolerate it at first, but the second? The third? He's just testing your patience at this point.
Your marriage has never been a troubled one, your husband does not make you mad most of the time and you enjoy being in love, those little things that made your heart skip a beat. You enjoy talking to him at night, spend your day in his art room as he encourages you to keep on writing that mystery book you're so into lately, bickering about how unfair life is for women your age â Hell, woman of all ages.
You love the sound of his laugh when he's careless about everything else, when he admits he doesn't want to go that night's party cause he just wants to stay home and fuck you senseless, his way of seeing art and explain it to you as something totally opposite as what you really think it is.
Thing is, you choose to marry Benedict Bridgerton cause you're indeed, head over heels with him. You've fall for the charming smile and sassy attitude that made you finally settle after years of being called a spinster. He finds the way to intrude the walls of the maze that was your heart and managed to plant a flag in the middle of it when you're confident enough to talk to him, let alone be seen in public after all the rumors you've heard that he was looking for a wife that season.
Even when you try to avoid him, he makes you fall in no time, following you around like a lost puppy, going to your house to spend time with your family, convincing everyone he's desperate to try the food your nana makes, cause you've talked about how good it taste all the time.
It's almost like he tricked you into make you love him, to have you between the brushes dipped in a funny smell water. He has you hooked by the first months and soon after? God, he has no education when he makes you love him, how he obliges you to stain yourself with all the things he was his daily life mixed with yours functioning so well.
It's a thorn nailed in the palm of your hand, those moments of privacy when the moon evolves you and your lover completely that are now being taken away. It's selfish, surely it's something childish so you don't want to say anything to your friends, or even Daphne Basset when she visits you to have an afternoon of tea free from her kids, asking you about how everything's going days before you came up with this great idea.
You can take the matter by your hands, that's why the next time Benedict's painting at midnight your mind works like a machine.
After all the time together you happen to know him more than you know yourself, the things he enjoys what he dislikes the most â So it's not very hard to plot against your husband.
Benedict doesn't seem to hear you when you silently glide through the half-open door, unaware as the light of the candle lights is not enough to illuminate the whole room, the fire he kept close to the canvas he was currently working on. He looks handsome all concentrated. His brows furrowed as he takes the pigments with his bare hands and mix them in his wood palette to get that exact color he was looking for. A shade of pink for a piece he hasn't shown you officially yet.
"What are you doing up so late?" you ask coyly when you are close to him, hearing how his breath hitched for a second before noticing it's you, your hands coming from behind just to intrude in his space close to the easel. He's taller than you, but it doesn't stop you from standing in your tiptoes, pressing your cheek against the crook of his neck as you hugged him.
You cannot hide that you're tired. You lost the track of time when you got out of bed, so when you have your husband close and finally smell that nice and subtle aroma he carries with him, you relax in his back, the sound of his heartbeat loud against your ear.
"You scared me for a second," he says with a grin, muscles relaxing under your touch. "Didn't hear you coming in."
He has dry paint on his neck, so while you're cleaning his skin with one hand, he leans into you, back pressed against your chest seeking for your warmth, that contact he always seems to enjoy, your attention in all the ways he can get it.
âBedâs cold without youâ you say, fingers on his recently trimmed hair. "Done waiting for'you."
He has the nerve to laugh at your words, slowly at first, the sound of it making your skin shiver. He's going to defend his choices, you know it, and you hate how much you enjoy it, the way he always seems to find an excuse making you totally offended as you retort something equally ridiculous.
"Just thirty more minutes I promise," he says pressing a kiss in the palm of your hand he so gently grabs. "If you stay with me like this, can do the work in twenty."
"You can fool anyone else with that Ben, not buying it" to be honest, you're just trying to contradict everything he says, far from what you thought doing first when you plotted against him. "You said the same last week, amor. Not falling for any more lies."
"Not falling huh?" he asks, lowering the wood palette to look at you, his eyes meeting yours when you're so comfortable pressing your chin on his shoulder, looking at the painting he was doing â "You've learned the lesson then?"
"Twenty more minutes mean an hour in Benedict's language," he's the one that's now offended when his mouth opens in disbelief "Turns out I know my husband, and we both know thatâs way more than twenty minutes.â
He loves it. Itâs almost a secret, but he loves how you demand his company, the way you donât fold against anything and you stand for what you believe. He loves how you claim to know him, your lavender smell filling every single space available in the room as he smiles happily in response. He was so unsure of marrying you at first, but now he doesnât know what his life would look like without you in the picture.
âAh, Iâm guilty as chargeâ he says, his own hand going to his chest like it saddens him to hear you talk like that. âThought you wanted me to paint more.â
You've been encouraging him to show his art to more people, a small gallery that displayed his talent, but thatâs using your words for his advantage.
âYou little bastard, thatâs unfair coming from you.â
âWoah woah, you kiss your mother with that mouth?â
âKiss you evenâ you stick your tongue out, and heâs suddenly turning you around to place a kiss in your forehead, making you move in front of him instead â âYou wouldnât even imagine.â
Benedictâs a romantic. A poet at heart, so he doesnât let any opportunity slip to show his affection, his infinite devotion to you. His heart flutters in his chest and suddenly heâs kissing you, staining your white nightgown with the fresh paint of his hands and not caring about it at the slightest. Kisses you like he missed you, like he didnât see you the whole day when in reality youâve spent all day in the same house, baking cookies cause youâve suffered from a burst of love to the kitchen.
âYouâre not convincing meâ you say between kisses, hands pressing you closer to him. âIâm not leaving this room without you.â
He chuckles at your words â âNot even ten minutes?â
Heâs devastatingly handsome in a way that makes you stare at him, wonder what you did to make him so interested in you, so attracted to the point he has to marry you.
"No Bridgerton. Ni diez minutos." To be honest, the accent just makes him go weak at the spot. It's pathetic, but he cannot help it, his brain melts at the sound of your voice, even if he doesn't understand much of what you're saying. "Let's go to bed."
You know it's a weapon, your lips are on his face, and he forgets about everything else: How he's supposed to continue on working when your lips are kissing every inch of his face? Seems like an impossible task now that his hands are on your waist and all he can notice are your pink lips, how you're looking at him through half-lidded eyes cause you're sleepy, an smile that eclipses the rest.
Benedict's no longer worried of his painting. Hell, he cannot seem to remember what shade of pink he was so invested in finding before, but he don't care at all when he's the one now leaning in, kissing you with fervent love as he traces the outline of your lips, almost asking for permission to invade you before deepening the contact, tangling his fingers in the strands of your hair cause he simply cannot get enough from you.
"Take me to bed then, my beautiful wife."
He does not protest next. He loves every second of it, the slight force, your gentle touch when your guiding him through the cottage you two share in Wiltshire, the goosebumps in his own skin when you managed to get what you want.
You win. It's a war that Benedict never intended to win, a disaster he knew it would end up with the result of him leaving his work half done cause he cannot resist to the idea of being tangled with you in such an intimate way. He sleeps so well with you on his arms, burying his head on your hair as he relaxes beneath the sheets, the contact of your skin enough to make him have the best night sleep.
Can he resist it? He's neck deep. Talked about it with his brothers before, drinking too much as the words slurred together and he admits how you got him wrapped around your finger, so in love he would do anything to please you, let alone have your full attention â They surely made fun of him, but is it his fault? Being so in love with his wife?
"Can't say no to you," he says defeated "You know it."
In the privacy of the room you two share, you're washing his hands with a wet cloth, preventing him from getting the sheets dirty before pulling his linen shirt to the floor. It's so quickly, he don't seem to realize what you're doing until he's already in bed, covered with the thick duvet as he searches for you.
He realizes now he should have listened to you before, cause his back is surely happy now that he's able to rest, the weariness of being standing so many hours now falling over him as his eyes began to close by themselves.
"When are you going to stop working so late?" You ask, pressing your cheek against his chest as you hugged him, getting closer to him even when you stole more than half of the bed in the process. The second son of the Bridgerton family does not say anything about it, but instead, enjoys how needy you are of his touch, how you want him around.
"Inspiration always come late, angel" he tries to defend himself as you rolled your eyes. âMaybe itâs a curse.â
"Then iâm afraid iâll have to drag you to bed every night," you protest. "Cause i'm not letting you stay all night in that studio, crazy man."
"Miss me too much in bed?"
"Hm, what if I do?"
"Cannot blame you," Benedict admits later, using the only traces of force he has left to caress your hair, fingertips against your scalp in a gentle massage. "I'm always missing you when you're not around."
Your heart skips a beat: How could you not be head over heels with this man? He always find the right words, what to say exactly.
Gently, your face come up to press a soft kiss against his lips, a quick one thatâs not enough for Benedict when he makes you stay in the same position as he steals a much longer one.
Life is simple with him by your side, you know it cause you might as well be over the moon when youâre alone with Benedict Bridgerton.
Every. single. day.
my masterlist.

I don't want to keep clogging my blog with vent posts but uh... I guess this is a more general concern/observation
But it's getting real hard to stay motivated in fandom spaces when there's little compensation, and annoying occurrences are more frequent than good ones.
Mainly there's been less engagement/people showing interest in creators and their art (such as sending asks, making comments and reblogging with tags) and MORE parasocial interactions. This goes for both artists and writers.
Over this year I've noticed a vast disinterest within my public in general. Asks about ocs, my art, or just nice simple comments of ''I love your art'' has been getting more and more scarce. My follower number is bigger than 2-3 years ago sure and I get more likes on my posts but they are feeling more like just numbers and statistics than actual people who supposedly like my stuff.
And while people being parasocial with creators has always been a thing, I feel like it's gotten way worse... in general? People sending personal pictures out of the blue in hopes of being validated, unwanted psychological advice or assumptions about the creator without any established connection first ( <- these happened to me in the same week.) ventdump, just insensitive/lacking of common sense comments in general, unreasonable demands (mostly with writers)... I wondered at first if it was just me, but a handful of mutuals/acquaintances who are artists and writers seems to be going through it as well.
It's annoying. It's tough. It's getting exhausting. Creators pour so much of themselves into their workâcountless hours, effort, and passion, all to share something meaningful or entertaining with others (and for FREE) The LEAST anyone can do is show respect, even if opinions differ. When a writer posts a fanfic, don't just say ''omg post next chapter!'', when an artist posts a drawing of their favorite character, don't just say ''omg draw (character) next!'' as if they're faceless content machines that are expected to churn out more '''content''' for you without acknowledgment, encouragement, or appreciation.
''I want to support creators but I don't know what to say and I feel intimidated by their talent so I just lurk silently :((('' I swear to you, no creator (at least not the majority) is making up an intimidating persona to discourage you from interacting with them. They WANT your comments. A single ''I love your art/writing/videos'' or even something as silly as ''I want to eat your art'' is enough to keep a creator sighing dreamily for WEEKS. It doesn't have to be deep! It's heartfelt and that's what it matters!! (Just remember to keep it relevant and thoughtful... It takes just a bit of common sense NOT to comment things like ''this looks like (another character)'' or ''this but with (another unrelated ship/character/show)''. No one wants to hear comparisons or unrelated ideas when theyâve poured their soul into something.)
In fact, the ''I like your art but I think you're intimidating'' feels more hurtful than flattering. It makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong, acting wrong. đ
If you love that fanfic that changed your brain psyche forever and want to gush about it, go tell the writer. If you loved so much a piece of art that you saved it a million times in your phone and can't stop thinking about it, go tell the artist. Push away the ''they probably won't care about my comment/it won't make a difference'' thoughts. DO IT NOW. You won't know when they might go inactive forever or deactivate. You can't know if that is the last piece they will ever post. Make sure you show appreciation to creators NOW, while they are still here. While they're still not being replaced by AI.
#fandoms#to those users who always reblog my art with tags and comments I SEE YOU. YOU MAKE A WHOLE DIFFERENCE. YOU GIVE ME STRENGTH TO GO ON#to people who send asks about my oc or show genuine interest and appreciation for my art/me even if I take a whole ass year to answer#I still APPRECIATE IT so much and one day (hopefully) ill answer it with a cute lil doodle đ#one time I made a rlly heartfelt comment of appreciation for one my fav jp artists on twitter which I thought was ''intimidating''#i thought they were gonna think my comment was obnoxious or rude for not being in japanese but I made sure to be respectful#to my surprise the artist responded me with a small drawing as a thankyou... and they did that JUST for me đđ not anyone else#it really opened my eyes#people can FEEL your love and passion for their work even with language barrier#its literally SO easy to be nice. and also SO easy to not be a parasocial dick.#but more often its none of those#if people cared about artists there wouldnt be AI art/writing

I've got to say, it's a very strange feeling, becoming the sort of person that is in the exact target audience for Buttercup Festival.
Like, this thing has been running for decades, since 2000 if you believe wikipedia, and it got around without ever being really discussed explicitly by people I know. The strips always drifted past me every now and then without incident- neither offensive nor inoffensive, a bit puzzling at times.
And then... something? Something in me, not in the strip, that much is clear enough. But now I just love these little things to death, on a good day it's competitive with Calvin and Hobbes or something else really top-tier.
And it's just bizarre, you know? They certainly don't rely on what you'd traditionally call humor, and even when there's a belly laugh it's not because there was anything like a joke per se. But if I try to explain to people what it is that makes the strip work, I just come up with all these ridiculous sentences that may or may not mean anything.
So I went from not getting the strips at all, and just walking past them without registering their presence, to really enjoying them and considering them one of my favorite comics ever, without once passing through a moment in time where I understood what made them so poignant. Just bouncing between two very different kinds of ignorance.
And that's interesting in itself, no? One kind of wants to reason through one's aesthetic preferences. I know I do. I suppose, on the grounds that I want to reason through everything. But my experience with Buttercup Festival seems determined to resist that treatment, at least so far.
Jokes as an art form are rather interesting- they get a laugh out of us before we know why they're funny, and discussions about humor tend to be unsatisfying after the fact. Explaining a joke doesn't make it any funnier, and the experience of 'funny' itself can't really be explained. Most forms of art, you can develop a deeper appreciation of the form by breaking it down in to specific shapes and methods and styles, and find new layers of beauty as you explore the structure of it. But it seems like laughter doesn't follow the same path, exactly.
Jokes aren't necessarily the only thing with this kind of structure. The koan, also, is supposed to open something to the student without any intervening explanation or analytical framework. Like a good joke, a koan often don't seem to make any damn sense at all, and like a good joke, a koan is often quite short. So that's two examples.
So there's this tricky thing where there's a class of experiences that seems to resist explanation, and we mostly encounter it through humor, but it's not actually limited to humor per se. I don't think I have the slightest idea where the contours of that thing are, or how to explore it, even though it's quite beautiful.
I don't think it's meaningless either, even though it sort of challenges the usual ways we define that term. I don't know how deep it goes, though it's much deeper than I expected. And you can grow in it over time, either because of certain experiences or certain insights or... I don't know. It wasn't signposted. I just kinda woke up here one day.

MATTHEO RIDDLE- Beg For Me
Chapter Three- Info: You and Mattheo have been butting heads for months, since you were assigned as his tutor, and one day during a session full of tense bickering, he has enough.
(This will essentially be a toxic book where we are ThĂšos fucktoy. No love here, very minimal fluff.)
Tags: 18+, PURE SMUT, Sub!Reader, Dom!Mattheo, Oral Sex (M Rec), Throat Fucking, Toxic Behaviour, Blackmail, Praise Kink, Degradation Kink, Humiliation, Manipulation, Gagging, Spitting, DubCon, CNC.
**hereâs: one, two, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen & twenty.
As you approached the door of the familiar private classroom, a subtle sense of unease gnawed at the edges of your confidence.
Admittedly you got lost in the depths of your homework after dinner, becoming absorbed in the swirls of ink on your parchment, diligently crafting your Astronomy essay due in a mere three weeks from now. The minutes seemingly slipped away, and you realized you were running late for today's tutoring session, the devastating consequence of your intense focus on your academic obligations.
However, considering Mattheo's habitual tardiness--one of which he has mastered as well as any given art form--you assumed your delay wouldn't be at all consequential, and would most likely even go unnoticed. So without really thinking twice about it, you gently pushed open the door, expecting the room to be empty, the usual silence welcoming you as you stepped inside.
But then, to your astonishment, the room was not vacant. There he was, Mattheo Riddle, perched on the chair with an air of casual authority. His long legs were stretched out before him, feet confidently resting on the desk's edge, displaying a newfound confidence that sent a shiver down your spine. His arms were folded, his posture exuding an almost predatory assurance. His eyes, dark as the night and twice as intense, followed your every move as you stepped inside. The atmosphere crackled with tension, the weight of his gaze pressing upon you.
You closed the door with a deliberate slowness, the soft click echoing through the room like a gunshot in the silence, and his eyes locked onto yours, silently challenging you.
"Well, well, look who finally decided to show up." He taunted, his voice laced with a poisonous charm. The room seemed to shrink in the wake of his suffocating arrogance. "Guess Ravenclaws little good girl isn't so perfect after all...who would have guessed."
You rolled your eyes, a flush of embarrassment staining your cheeks as you awkwardly dropped your gaze to the floor. The weight of being late for the first time in your life was almost palpable, but you made an effort to play it off, attempting to regain your composure despite the lingering discomfort.
"Save the mind games for someone who's willing to play, Riddle," you said, slowly making your way toward him. "You have no right to talk, you're late every single week."
"Yeah but I'm not the one who turns into a sobbing mess over a less-than-perfect grade," Mattheo sneered, his tone dripping with disdain. "I don't have mental breakdowns just because I'm not the class's golden child in everything, and I'm definitely not the one who's about to graduate in merely a few months while still a fucking virgin-"
Your jaw dropped in astonishment at his audacity, a surge of indignation propelling you to slam your bag down on the desk in front of him. The force of your action knocked his feet off the desk, abruptly interrupting whatever sentence he had intended to finish, leaving him silenced in disbelief.
"At least I'm going to fucking graduate without needing someone to hold my hand like a child." You hissed, the words slipping past your teeth before you even had a chance to process them. "For someone who needs me so much, you sure don't act like you appreciate my help."
Mattheo's eyes darkened, a storm of arrogance and anger swirling in their depths, transforming his usual stoic demeanor into a deep scowl etched across his face. He rose from his seat, his tall frame looming over you, casting a shadow that seemed to stretch across the room.
"You think I need you, Raven?" He purred, wetting his lips. "You really think that?"
You steeled your jaw, strengthening your stance, ignoring the fact that your fingers were trembling like leaves in the autumn wind.
"Where would you be without me, Riddle?" You whispered, kinking your neck back to catch his dark, hungry eyes. "How many tutors did you have before me? How many other students tried to help you but couldn't stand your arrogant, no-fucks-given attitude, hm?"
Your words draped the air with a palpable gravity, silencing Mattheo completely--an unprecedented reaction, given his usual quick retorts. The revelation ignited a fierce ember within you, fueling your resolve and lending a sharp edge to your words, as if each syllable carried the weight of your determination.
"That's what I thought..." your voice was low, reverberating as a mere whisper in the air, something flickering behind Mattheo's eyes that made your lips curl into a devilish smirk. "You know that without me, you'd be here forever...maybe you've managed to manipulate me into being your little toy, but that doesn't change the truth about this whole thing...you need me, Riddle, you fucking need me..."
Mattheo blinked, the ensuing silence lingering for what felt like a painful fucking eternity--time seemed to come to a standstill, everything around you fading into insignificance, leaving just you and the cunning, arrogant boy with tousled hair in your presence.
When he finally spoke, You couldn't shake the sinking feeling in your stomach, understanding all too well that his words were laced with an arrogant twist, a prelude to something manipulative and cunning yet to unfold.
"You're right," he finally said, stepping closer. "I do need you,"
His voice dipped into a low, sinister register, and the corners of his lips curled into a sadistic smile, sending a chill down your spine.
"I need you to watch your fucking mouth," the touch of his fingers on your arm nearly made you jump, his hand grazing up and over your shoulder. "I need you on your knees begging for my forgiveness," the pads of his fingers grazed your collarbone, and before you could even comprehend it, his large hand clasped around your throat, the other finding the small of your back as he pushed you up against the desk. "And then, I need you swallowing my fucking cum like the good little whore I know you are."
Without wasting a single second of time his plush lips attacked yours, his tongue delving past your teeth with a passionate urgency. You were painfully aware of Mattheo's manipulative tactics, understanding that he was using your vulnerability to his advantage, and the rational part of your mind screamed warnings at you, reminding you of the toxicity in his actions.
Yet, beneath the surface; as his hands roamed your curves, his tongue explored your mouth; an unsettling, exhilarating feeling lingered, a strange sort of affection for the very dominance that should have repelled you.
The awareness of his exploitation only intensified the rush, a twisted form of affection blossoming amidst the wrongness of it all. It was as if the knowledge of being used had become entangled with your desires, forming a paradoxical bond that you couldn't sever. In the midst of the moral turmoil, a dark, irresistible thrill coursed through your veins, leaving you helplessly drawn to the very thing you should have despised.
"You've been a very naughty girl, Raven..." his lips fell to your jawline, hands groping your curves, bunching the fabric of your uniform within his battered fists. "You've been swearing far too much...you were late...and now you want to act like you have power over me?" When he sunk his teeth into your earlobe, you yelped, flinching as he tightened his grip on your hips. "Don't get it twisted, princess...I hold the fucking power here...look at what I do to you..."
Your entire body was tingling, your fingers latching onto the fabric of his white button up dress shirt for dear fucking life.
"Mattheo-"
His lips fell lower, rough hands gripping your hips and shoving your ass back onto the desk behind you, parting your legs on either side of his strong body as he pulled you against him.
"This is what I do to good girls like you...I turn them into naughty little whores..." he purred, licking a flat line up the side of your throat, your lids involuntary fluttering shut at the breathtaking sensation. "...naughty little whores who take my cock and swallow my fucking cum."
His hands slid up your sides, taking the fabric of your skirt along with them, and you gasped as you felt it hike dangerously high up your thighs, trembling fingers tugging it back down to keep yourself covered.
Mattheo huffed, releasing the fabric. "You're not used to being bad though, are you, princess?"
His teeth sank into your collarbone, creating a tantalizing blend of pleasure and pain that sent shivers down your spine. Strands of his tousled hair caressed your cheek, the faintest whisper of a touch sending tingles across your skin. Your lips parted involuntarily, releasing a soft whimper, while Mattheo's response echoed in a deep, guttural groan that reverberated through the air, intensifying the charged atmosphere between you.
One hand gripped your jaw as he pulled back, meeting your eyes. "Answer me when I ask you a question."
Your breath hitched, flames roaring in your veins. "No, Mattheo...I'm not..."
"Mm," he purred, wetting his lips as he stared. "Do you know what happens to bad girls, Raven?"
Your stomach twisted as he tugged you closer by the hold on your jaw, his eyes darkening with desire as they darted across your face, seemingly examining your features as though they were precarious and new.
Your voice trembled. "No..."
"They get fucking punished."
Before you could respond, Mattheo shifted his hand, shoving two rough fingers between your teeth, reaching for the back of your throat and forcing a gag. Your eyes watered, beads of salty fluid threatening to spill down your cheeks, but he was unyielding, gripping the back of your neck with his other hand to force himself further down your throat--holding you in place while he did.
Your entire body was in flames, your thighs begging, fucking screaming in a need so disgustingly dirty you'd never experienced anything remotely close to it before.
Mattheo groaned, low in his chest, his dark eyes watching every single ministration of your face as you gagged on his fingers. The hand behind your head relented as he brought it to his crotch, palming the insistent bulge in his trousers as he watched you; seemingly not having blinked once.
"Unbutton your shirt," his voice was a hoarse whisper, laced with primal desire. He pushed his fingers deeper, clearing his throat. "Seal those filthy lips around my fingers, and unbutton your fucking shirt, princess..."
You cursed the fact that his body was separating your legs because all you wanted, more than anything on the face of the planet, was to squeeze your fucking thighs together--to give your cunt any sort of friction possible. Every word from his lips was doing inexplicable things to your body, and the need between your thighs was growing so insistent it was almost painful.
Following his commands, you sealed your lips around his fingers, swirling your tongue and bobbing your head painfully slowly as you teased him, trembling fingers moving to the buttons on your blouse and undoing them one by one until your chest was entirely exposed to him--your lungs stalled, pussy clenching as you watched his eyes darken with desire while they scanned your chest covered only by your navy laced bra, the hand on his crotch moving more insistently now.
"My fucking God, Raven," he breathed, jaw tensing so tight it looked painful. "I can't believe you've been keeping all of that hidden this whole time..."
You mewled involuntarily as he grazed your chest with his free hand, pushing his fingers deeper down your throat with enough intensity to make you cough as his demeanour switched and he palmed your breast with enough force to illicit an exasperated groan. He was possessed now, something swarming his pupils that made your entire body convulse with unfamiliar and unabashed need; you were almost certain there'd be a pool of your desire on the desk between your thighs at this point.
Without warning, he abruptly removed his hands from you. Your lips, parted in anticipation of a breath, yearned for air before his mouth enveloped yours once more. In a frenzy, his hands hurriedly reached for his belt, driven by an almost desperate urgency as you both inhaled sharply through your nostrils. Your lips meshed together in a way that seemed to consume each other, as if you could breathe in one another during the kiss.
Once he'd successfully freed himself, he pulled back, shoving his fingers back into your mouth and yanking you off the desk, his throbbing length pressing against your belly as he shoved himself against you; fingers forcing another gag from your chest, watching you with a primal fervour in his eyes so intense it was intoxicating.
Pulling his fingers from your mouth again, he cupped his hand out in front of you. "Spit."
Your brows furrowed in confusion, your brain buffering in attempt to process his words until his free hand shot into your hair, tilting your head until your lips were parallel to his palm.
"Spit, Raven," he repeated. "Spit into my fucking hand."
Your stomach contorted with a mix of disbelief and unfamiliar desire, your entire being thrown off balance. Each word that fell from his lips felt like a jolt, causing your heart to stutter in your chest. His eyes bored into you, searing your skin into flames, and without another moment's hesitation, you gathered the saliva he had coerced from you and spat it into his hand.
"Mm, that's it...good little whore..." He purred, bringing it down to his cock, rubbing it into his shaft as he stroked himself, eyes never once leaving yours. "Now, get on your knees for me, pretty girl."
Your breath caught in your throat. He, of all people, had just called you "pretty," and you were certain your ears were playing some sort of trick on you. It was a compliment you never expected from him, someone you had never imagined would see you in such a way. Pulling your lip between your teeth, you did as he said, squeezing your thighs together as you situated yourself in front of his feet.
Mattheo's hand remained in your hair, firmly gripping a fistful as he stroked himself. "Hands behind your back, Raven..." he muttered. "Let me see those delicious fucking tits of yours."
Your entire body shuddered, immediately clasping your hands together behind you without a second thought.
"That's it...fuck-" he was stroking himself faster, the veins in his hands tensing with every movement. You weren't sure who was enjoying this more, him or you. "You want this, princess? You want this cock in your dirty little mouth?"
Your throat was drier than the desert, each swallow a struggle against the arid emptiness within. Fingernails dug into your own flesh with a fierce intensity, the pressure threatening to break through the skin, mirroring the internal turmoil that gripped you. Holy fucking shit.
"Yes..." your voice was a pathetic whisper.
"Don't be so modest, Raven," he sneered, slowing his pace, twisting his wrist as he stroked his shaft, eyes never once leaving yours. "Beg for it."
Your stomach was in your throat. You'd never done anything like that before, you werenât even really sure how. "I...um-please, Mattheo..."
His eyes fluttered shut for the briefest moment, a flicker of amusement dancing across his features before he locked eyes with you once more, his arrogance wrapping around the room like a suffocating cloak.
"Bloody hell, I said beg for it...does the prissy little princess not know how to fucking beg?" his voice was a hoarse growl, his vocal cords strained with lust. "Tell me how bad you want my cock, Raven, tell me how much you need it."
You couldn't believe your ears; the turn of events in your life felt utterly surreal. Never in your entire existence could you have imagined that this is where you'd find yourself right now--merely a few months away from graduation, on your knees for the most suffocatingly arrogant delinquent in the school who was making you beg to suck his fucking dick. A man who only last year wouldn't have paid you an ounce of mind, who probably didnât even know you existed.
Your cheeks burned, but you fought through it, the arousal in your lungs fuelling your words. "Please, Mattheo...I want your cock so bad, I want you in my mouth, I want to choke on it, I want you to fuck my throat until you cum-"
His grip on your hair tightened, simultaneous with the grip on his cock as he cranked your head back, leaning down to meet your eyes; his lips hovering mere inches above yours.
"My God, you're a dirty fucking slut, aren't you?" He purred, smirking so wide it reached his eyes, his fingers bruising your scalp. "A dirty fucking slut whose sole purpose is to let me use her mouth whenever I want, yeah?"
You swallowed, wincing as he jerked your head back further, fucking into his fist faster, harder. "Yes, Mattheo..."
He sneered, clearly loving every fucking minute of this. "Imagine if anyone saw you like this...fuck-you're fucking filthy..." his voice was breathless, if you didn't know any better you'd think he was about to make himself cum before you had the chance to suck him off. "Apologize for being such a nasty little slut and I'll let you swallow my cum."
Your thighs clenched in need, your wetness seeping through your panties at this point. Gods, you wanted him so fucking bad you thought you were going to die.
"I'm sorry," you pleaded, eyes wide as you peered up at him, nearly-speechless. "I'm sorry for being a nasty little slut."
"That's right..." he purred, directing the head of his cock toward your mouth, groaning as your pressed your lips to it. "Good girl...fuck-so good for me..."
Your entire body was in flame, hands still clasped together behind your back as both of his thrust tightly through your hair, absentmindedly sealing your lips around his shaft, revelling in his skin's heat, dragging your tongue along the throbbing, pulsing underside. Riddle growled, bucking his hips, and you took him further into your mouth, gagging as his tip slammed the back of your throat.
"You take me so well, Raven..." he breathed, head falling back on his shoulders, eyes fluttering shut as his hands urged your head along his length. "Can't believe a mouth that annoying can feel this fucking good."
You groaned in assent, sucking hard at his cock as he slowly started to fuck your throat. You were both struggling to breathe, both losing control, both lost in an ocean of primal, urgent carnality. Pleasure was straining your seams, ready to explode inside of you, drool dribbling in globs from your chin, tears pricking the corners of your eyes as you tried to hold the boundaries of your sanity together.
"Mm, fuck..." Riddle's grip was crushing your skull. "I changed my mindâŠI'm gonna' cum on those perfect tits, princess..."
Your bones almost liquefied at this--but you steadied your knees, gagging as he started fucking into your throat faster, thrusting deep, your eyes disappearing into the back of your head as you allowed him to use your mouth as a helpless hole for him to fuck--singlehandedly loving every fucking second of it.
"Shit-" he groaned, eyes squeezed shut. "Fuck."
Your thighs clenched, brain fogged by a hurricane of lust, but when he pulled out, abruptly, your cognition returned--your vision clearing to an image of Riddle, red-faced, fucking his fist. Snarling, he jerked your hair, and choked on his moan, the sound stuttering while he shot the hot loads of his cum onto your chest and neck. He sucked down air in long, heavy breaths, waiting until the end of his release had dissipated, and then dropped you, stepping back to marvel at his masterpiece. You swore steam was wafting off your skin.
"Beautiful," he murmured. He pieced himself back together, buckling his belt. "Tell me how I taste."
Every inch of you tingled, chest heaving, jaw slack in an open pant. Keeping his stare, you brought a trembling hand to your chest, swiping his sticky cum off your tits and trailing it past your lips, slowly sucking it off your first two fingers. The taste melding with the mere prospect of what was happening elicited a low moan from your chest, and you shuddered, trapped in his gaze until you were finished.
"Salty." You teased, smirking up at him.
"Salty, huh?â He huffed, a devious grin on his face as he helped you up to your feet, rough palm grasping your forearm. "Important mineral for a balanced meal, yeah?"
You chuckled, heat swarming your skin as you stammered up to your feet, meeting his darkened eyes as you began buttoning up your shirt, taking in his newly flushed features--curly brown hair slightly sticking to his forehead before he ran a battered hand through it, brushing it back.
âSmartass,â you grumbled, turning toward the desk. âNext week we have an exam, so there wonât be a tutor session, you know that right?â
He released a breath, throwing himself into the usual creaky wooden chair beside yours. âGuess that just means youâll have to do that again before the nightsâ over,â he said. âYou know, to compensate for next week.â
You rolled your eyes, failing to hide your smirk. âIn your dreams, Riddle.â
âOh, definitely not, princess.â He breathed, glimpsing you briefly. âIn my dreams you do a hell of a lot more than that.â

Hi Skyen, hope you're well! I'm seeking some advice and since you used to work doing mainly art commissions I figured asking you was worth a shot.
I'm a furry artist and I'm looking into doing commission work as a side gig while I finish animation college, and hopefully acquire enough experience/clients/notoriety to turn it into a full time job once I graduate.
Do you have any advice for someone literally just starting out with fresh accounts and zero following? Especially when it comes to reaching people and getting your first clients, and anything that one should take into account when working with NSFW specifically. Also advice for pricing your work is always useful đ
No need to answer obvs but I'd appreciate your viewpoint if you want to share!
Got 2 asks on this exact subject so I'll write up what advice I can. One big caveat: I haven't worked as a commission artist for like half a decade at this point, and this job has a tendency to change fast, do not take anything I say as gospel. This is advice from a limited perspective, be critical of what I say and trust your peers and the people you are in community with before you trust me.
building audience
Step one is getting people to notice the artwork you create. Literally nothing else can happen until you have eyeballs on your work, and the most consistent and reliable way to make that happen is fanart. Ideally you'd want to produce fanart in a fandom you are personally engaged with and passionate about and familiar with, and which also has a sizeable community whose attention can help you build recognition and a base of followers.
This isn't always possible, and there's many a working artist who creates work for fandoms not out of deep personal connection, but because the fandom is large and relevant and a good way to capture the goodwill of algorithms and content feeds.
This approach has some downsides. For one, genuine fans can usually tell when someone's engagement with Their Thing is shallow, and for another it can be deeply creatively exhausting to chase the algorithm. I don't recommend this approach, but it is a valid means of building a business.
Another important consideration, especially when you are early in your career, is that volume tends to trump quality. Every artist will eventually learn that their shitty joke-doodle they sh*t out in ten minutes on a whim will get a billion reposts, and their complex personal work that took eight weeks to finish gets 2 likes from their closest mutuals and a comment from a bot saying "wow!"
In the age of the algorithm, what machines and for you pages value is a consistent, high-volume of output that generates user engagement. You will generally get further, faster, by producing a lot of work than you will producing great work. Again, this can be rough on your mental state, and a fast way to burn the fuck out, so please be careful and mind your health before all else.
The best way to build something that will last is to build your audience in communities and around fandoms and themes and ideas you genuinely care about and enjoy exploring and interacting with. Being your authentic self and creating work from your authentic interest is generally both healthier and long-term better for your career than trend-chasing. Treat trend-chasing and volume > quality output as tools in your toolbox, as creative and business decisions you can make to achieve a specific purpose, never ever EVER let them become the center of your praxis or your philosophy. Never ever EVER allow the Numbersâą to be your source of validation and accomplishment.
building business
Ok, so you've got eyes on your work. You've got some followers. How the hell do you get them to commission you?
Well, again, by demonstrating a capacity to create kinds of art for which there is demand. In the furry community, there's brisk trade in things like ref sheets and character design, for example. For most fandoms, ship art is a product which tends to be in demand. Being able to do really good expression sheets is a marketable skill. Being able to create compelling and clear emotes for streamers and creators is a marketable skill.
Showing the capacity to work in a wide range of styles is valuable. Showing the capacity to work in a wide range of genres is valuable. If you can do both comedy and romance your appeal expands. If you can do shonen-like action and angst as well, it expands again.
Equally, being incredibly good at a specific niche is valuable as well. Focusing hard on an under-served niche of work can give you a lot of opportunities to be the Go To person for that specific kind of thing.
Perhaps the hardest part of all of this is marketing yourself. Not only showing that you have the skills, but actively informing your audience that you are available, eager and willing to practise your skill for a fee. You have to sell yourself. It sucks, but you have to do it. You have to advertise what you can do, and you have to suffer the rejection and annoyance that comes along with doing that.
You have to ask people to commission you. You have to raise your hand and demand attention. It's not fun, but it's business.
Walking the line between self-promotion and being a person is hard. I can't help you that much with it, it's a very personal balance to find. Stay in touch with your soul, but kill the part that cringes at yourself.
Ultimately, you best marketing asset is your portfolio. Every time you do work, show it off. Repost it, retweet it, spread it around. If someone is happy with what you've made for them, do your best to make sure that other people see that happiness. Ask your clients (politely) to tag you when they share your work.
Oh, and for the love of god, sign everything you create, slap watermarks on anything that's likely to get reposted, and make it impossible for someone not to find your business email on your profile.
building network
If you're a commission artist, you are in community with other commission artists. You share interests, you share experiences, you share needs.
Practise solidarity. Absolutely seek out professional peers to help your business, but equally seek out opportunities to help them with theirs. If someone comes to you for art and you don't have commission slots open, point them at a colleague who you know can do the work too. Gas up your peers and spread their work.
Be a symbiote, not a parasite. Respect the craft of your peers, and don't chase celebrities and big names in the hope of coasting on their coattails. It will fail.
smut
If you're a working artist, at some point you have to reckon with smut and r34.
These genres are excellent sources of income, and fertile ground to build a business and network of customers. BUT. Do not ever make the mistake of thinking that they are "the easy way" or a shortcut. Do not ever make the mistake of thinking you can simply offer to draw tiddies and rake in the cash.
It's work and graft same as literally any other form of labor, it's challenging on both a technical and creative level, and the audience can sense if you're looking down on them. If you approach this from a position of shame, of "eugh, I'm debasing myself by doing this for rent money," it will not work, and you will lose standing and respect in the eyes of every peer whose support you need to succeed.
Just as in all other forms of creativity, if you treat the audience as morons who will slurp up whatever slop you serve them, then you will attract clientele that agrees with you, and you will deserve the misery they will inflict upon you.
If you are going to work in smut, establish your boundaries and enforce them. Know that good clients will feel safer and more comfortable with an artist who clearly states their red lines and earnest interests than they will with someone who tries to attract more clients by pretending to be open to work that they are actually uncomfortable with.
Never, ever, EVER let a client push you to create work you are not comfortable creating. It scars your soul in both the short and long term.
Also, when working with this kind of content, know the rules of payment processors and know how to hide the nature of your business from them. PayPal should never, EVER know the details of the content you sell with their service. Frankly, neither should your bank, most likely.
Look to your peers for advice and best practises about this. And be meticulous about your bookkeeping.
money
I want to tell you to charge at least minimum wage for your time. I want to tell you to charge substantially more than that, because your labor is specialized and highly skilled.
But the economic reality of commission work is that there is a crushing downwards pressure on the labor price of art, which has only been made more devastating by the rise of generative AI, and especially when you are a young artist just starting out, you're going to find yourself in a position where charging even minimum wage for your time will turn away a huge proportion of your potential customers.
Again, your portfolio will be the greatest argument for the value of your work, but you have to build that portfolio first, and very often that means doing a f*kton of work for not remotely enough pay until the pressure of demand finally works in your favor.
I don't condone or justify this state of affairs. It is horrid and I hate it, but I don't know how to fix it either.
Making a living from content creation of any kind requires you to get lucky, on top of working obscene hours and foregoing rest and vacations. It's not a safe or sensible plan for a career or paying your bills.
My sensible advice is to get a "normal" job you can survive doing, and do your creative work on the side, and resign yourself to the possibility that the creative work may never actually pay your bills.
And that is soul-crushing, but I cannot stomach pretending that hard work and gumption will guarantee anyone a decent living if they just try hard enough.
There are people who are better at every aspect of my work than I am, and they struggle harder and work for longer, and they will never see half the success I have, because I happened to get lucky, and they happened not to. It's wretched.
I'm not telling you not to chase your dreams. I'm telling you to do it with your eyes open, and with compassion for yourself first before all else.
All of this to say: I can't tell you what to charge for your work. It depends on everything from your competition to your niche to your genre to your community to your economic situation. You have to figure it out on your own.
All I can tell you is never forget that your work is worth more than the market will let you charge, and to raise your prices as soon and as much as you can. Try to reach at least minimum wage for your time as fast as possible.
in conclusion
Again, I haven't been a commission artist full time for a long time, please do not take any of this as gospel. Listen to your peers before you listen to me.
But trust me about the solidarity. It will save you when all else fails.

Gifts the slashers would enjoy
Fluff
Minor updates for formatting
Micheal Myers:
âąArts and crafts supplies
-He's enjoyed making Paper Mache masks most of his life. It's very likely that he enjoys other forms of art as well, but couldn't express that in the ward for fear it would be taken away.
-Dr. Loomis sucks
-Giving him art supplies now, would end up in him making his art in secret. He feels embarrassed to like such a simple thing. That shame is intensified if you ask to see it. He'll end up leaving it out so you can see it without directly showing it to you
âąCandy Corn, circus peanuts, and Crunch bar.
-Are they his favorite? No. But they bring back good memories, and for Michael, that's enough.
-would spend a good chunk of time snaking on the sweets while you spend time with him
-Can be bribed into a lot of shenanigans with candy
âąHomemade meal
-He rarely had anyone make him dinner. His mom being a âworkingâ woman ment that he had to fend for himself come dinnertime.
-Knowing that you wanted to, and found time to make him dinner make him feel that icky (Nice), bubbly feeling in the center of his chest
-minor Headcannon: first time this happened Micheal thought he was having a heart attack.
Billy loomis & Stu macher:
âąHorror movie merchandise
-They're collectors. If you manage to get your hands on something they don't have, they'll give you anything you want in return.
-will trip over themselves trying to replay you
-Stu would actually kiss the ground you walk on if you ask
âąJewelry
-They both appreciate necklaces, bracelets, and RINGS
-Stu is a gold guy, Billy is a sliver guy.
-Theyâre like crows. Anything shiny will end up in their pockets. Imagine Stu showing off his rings like a newly proposed to woman. Fawning over the design and/or jewels.
âąknives/knife sharpener
-They collect knives of different quality and look
-the better ones they use to hunt. The best ones and the weaker ones are put on display like trophies.
-No matter the quality you get, it's the fact it came from you but they care about
Thomas Hewitt:
âąFlowers
-Thomas is a sucker for old âtraditionalâ romantic actions
-Seeing you hold up hand-picked flowers makes his heart gush. He thinks you look so precious, wanting to make him happy.
-sometimes he'll catch you, out of a window, picking flowers just so you can give it to him. He'll never tell you, and will always act surprised when you present the bouquet.
âąBones
-its simple and an abundant resource at the house. There's always bones somewhere, and Thomas knows how to use the bones
-Theyâre good for making repairs, as tools, and as decorations
-You 10000% have a bone bracelet that Thomas made for you when you guys started to get more serious
âąDesserts
-Thomas won't admit it, but he has a sweet tooth. Why do you think Luda mae spends so much time baking?
-While a good pie is enough to send this man to his knees, any other baked good will do.
-He likes cherries and strawberries, but because of how expensive they are he doesn't tell anybody that it's his favorite. He doesn't want anybody âwastingâ money or resources on him.
Bubba Sawyer:
âąFlowers
-Bubba loves flowers. Any kind of flowers is enough for him to let out squeals of happiness. He loves seeing them around the farm, and plants them around the house when he has spare time.
-So when you go to town and come back with a bouquet of flowers just for him, nearly crushed you with hugs.
-Keeps them alive for as long as possible then perseveres them in notebooks and in salt
âąQuilting supplies
-Bubba is really good at handling leather. Those human skin masks are hard to make, and human leather is so incredibly delicate.
-On top of that, he is a family man. He want to make things that help his family. So he makes blankets!
-its a fine craft and perfect in enhancing his skills.
âąGood old quality time
-He loves spending his time with you! If he could spend all day with you, he would.
-So sitting down and cuddling means that absolute world to him. He cherishes his time with you and it what he looks forward to everyday. It's why he wakes up in the morning. It's why he tries hard everyday. He wants to spend every day starting and ending with you!
Bo Sinclair:
âąTools
-If your in the workshop often enough, you'll know what ends replacing.
-Bo is as stubborn as stubborn comes, so he won't get new tools until they physically can't do their job anymore.
-If you get him new tools he will begrudgingly take them, but after an hour or two he'll find you just so he can thank you âproperlyâ.
âąCigarettes
-The boy smokes
-Donât know what else to tell you
-Will kiss you when you give it to him though
âąKids Toys
-Sounds weird, but having his childhood taken away from him leaves him wanting to fill up the gaps.
-when looking through a victim's car you found a two handed water ring-toss toy. when you showed Bo He just rolled his eyes and kept working on his Truck. You started playing with it when at the shop, even leaving it there on a few occasions. Every time you left it there, He would take it and sneak into the back room of the shop to play with it.
-it brought him immense joy. One day he forgot to put it back, and when you asked about it he berated you for losing your things and expecting him to keep track of your belongings. He never told you, and would rather die than admit it.
Vincent Sinclair:
âąArt/craft supplies
-Its a given, really
-He very rarely get new art supplies (if you don't count corpses) so itâs nice to get replacements.
-Will take anything you give him, honestly
âąBooks
-Vincent isn't always making art. Sometimes art can get boring for him, or he hits a rough patch and doesn't know where to go from there.
-A book can easily help, Whether it's just something else to do or it helps him overcome his art block. He will oftentimes get up from his work space and find another spot to sit down and read.
-He loves it when you read to him. It's nice to just listen to something while you work.
âąHoodies
-with his combination of body issues and wanting to be cozy, A hoodie seems to be the best option.
-Even though it is hot in Louisiana, The cool basement and even cooler nights need a little warmth.
-loves the feeling of the softer cloth and with it being a present, makes it all the better.
Lester Sinclair:
âąLip balm
-Lester has a hard time with hygiene. No one ever really taught him how to take care of himself.
-So when you notice Lester had chapped lips and gave him some lip balm something in his brain short circuited. The fact that YOU want to help him, makes his heart swell.
-keeps it in his pocket and constantly reapplies it
âąCar freshener
-Even with him blind to the smell of death, the hot Louisiana sun will intensify the foul smell 10 fold. You knew it was bad when you could smell the truck before you could see or hear it.
-You ran out of town and bought several packs of air fresheners for his truck. You told him that you do love him, just not the smell that lingers when he gets home from work. Lester doesn't want to make you gag every time he gets into bed with you.
-He likes the Strawberry, sugar cookie, and fresh linens scent best
âąDinner
-Heâs not the âI better come home to a hot plate of dinner' kind of guy, but he really appreciates it when he does. Even though Bo is a semi-good cook, anything after years of having it will get boring.
-Having you cook for him (and most likely his brothers) is a nice change of pace.
-Will eat anything you cook. Whether it's âgoodâ or âbadâ he will happily eat it all.
Billy Lenz:
âąBeing read too
-Isnât a physical present but he loves your voice. He wants to read but has A) a hard time focusing and B) has a hard time reading in general
-Having you read to him calms him down and gets him settled enough to sit still and/or do an activity smoothly
-Reading to him 100% makes him fall asleep in the end. And boy does this insomniac need it
âąCrochet equipment
-After learning how to Crochet he can't stop. He runs through String like a mad man. He has made you 6 sweaters and increasing in quality over time
-Will give you a list of all the colors he wants and will wait patiently on your bed for you to come back.
-Gets ridiculous excited when he's given new supplies. Will be your lap dog for weeks after
âąString lights
-Doesn't have to be Christmas themed, he just really likes the lights. Like a moth drawn to flames.
-likes to fall asleep with them on, it's like Billyâs own big night light.
-Has gotten too close to them and accidentally ripped them down. He tried to hide them so he didn't get in trouble, and actually cried when you found out.
Brahms Heelshire:
âąClothes
-You wondered why his clothes were so ill-fitting for a long time before you realized, that's his dad's old clothes.
-coming to that realization you manage to figure out his proper size and (after some minor fighting) when out to get him a much needed upgrade. When you came home he was waiting by the door, waiting for you. Giving him his new clothes was like telling him you would never leave again, he was ecstatic. He ripped the bags out of your arms and ran into his room so he could try them on
-He fell in love with the sweaters you got him, with a nice couple pairs of khakis. It wasn't much of a transition from his old clothes but that's just what he likes.
âąMovies/Movie night
-The only movies he's seen are from his childhood, and he can barely remember them. His parents didn't think movies were healthy for a growing boy, so they only allowed him books to pass the time
-When you proposed a movie night he had a couple questions and even a bit of hesitation. âWhat if they melt my brain?â He asked with genuine concern. After you posed another question back âWhy wouldn't they have melted my brain yet?â Did he trust you.
-You started with childhood classics before getting into the more âadultâ stuff. He loved every minute of it
âąPicnics
-While Brahms isn't a fan of going outside, the garden is the only exception. You wanted him to go outside because orange juice can only do so much for a vitamin D deficiency.
-He said the only way he would go outside was if you had a Picnic and put his sunscreen on. Making sandwiches with chips and then lathering him in 80 SPF he went outside in a tank top layered with a crocheted vest and shorts, had him outside fairly quickly
-Now he wants a picnic every summer
Hannibal Lecter:
âąWine
-After dating for a while you started to notice where Hannibal got his expensive foods and wines
-you also noticed what he actually liked and what he was just experimenting with. While fruity and floral flavors were always favored, herbs and Nutty wines were much lower on his list.
-With that in mind you got a Cherry lavender wine from Greece. When you gave it to him he was actually shocked you were paying attention to his preferences. He told you most people just buy cheap wine and expect him not to notice.
-The wine you picked out now has a permit spot saved on his wine shelf.
âąPaper bouquet
-Paper made into the shape of different flowers all wrapped up in another paper tying it all together. It's cute, classy (though he would never display it openly), and will never wilt!
-He had told you about the complexity of life using flowers as an example and how they wilt. So you decided to make flowers that can't wilt to not only sass him but to give him something
-He put them in a paper vase he made (in only what you can assume was) in his free time.
âąFriendship bracelets
-What was originally a gag gift turned out to be one of his favorite gifts.
-You thought there was no way in hell THE Hannibal Lecter would wear cheap bright string woven together, but you were wrong.
-You had made some friendship bracelets out of old string you found in some old stuffed away box and laughed at the idea of Hannibal finding it in his desk drawer. So you did just that, just to come to the shocking realization that during a meeting with the F.B.I he was wearing it, hidden under his sleeve. You had a very hard time containing your laughter that night.
Will Graham:
âąQuality time with you!
-Life has always been stressful for Will. So some alone time with you is always a great gift.
-No need for fancy dinners, events, or holidays. Just sitting down to watch whatever pops up on the T.V screen is enough for him.
-Bonus points if the pack joins in for a cuddle session!
âąHandwritten letter(s)
-Having a man with a different then most emotional attachment style is hard. Will might not always what to be physically touched or poked at. Sometimes he doesn't even want to talk (Common coping mechanism for Autistic people)!
-But even when he gets like this, it's still nice to get some reassurance. You started writing him little notes around the house a while ago and slowly you noticed Willâs mood improving significantly.
-He found it very sweet that you were taking the time to meet him on a level he was comfortable with. The two of you don't speak about it often but the notes persist.
âąNew fishing gear
-anything fishing related is always an appreciated
-New lears, poles, vests, hooks, bait even. Anything even if he already has it, he will take it happily
-Heâll take you fishing with his new gear you got him and will happily teach you if you don't know how to fish
The Lost Boys:
âąJewelry
-All four vamps love jewelry of any kind
-All of them have earrings, bracelets, and necklaces so why not give them Something they can say they got from their S/O!
-David and Marko prefer bracelets, Davidâs gloves wouldn't mesh well with rings, and he thinks a necklace might make him seem less intimidating. Marko would chew on a necklace and worse could get caught during a fight. Rings would be damaged either due to said fighting and/or his painting. Bracelets are that perfect in-between!
-Dwayne and Paul like Rings for different reasons. For Dwayne Rings have that âmarriageâ aspect to them. Not to say rings mean marriage, but historically speakingâŠit's like putting your claim on him and he's thriving for that.
-Paul likes rings to fidget with. He already has rings he uses as ways to occupy his hands when something or someone isn't. Will 100% show off his ring you gave him to the others.
âąGift boxes
-The boxes full of pictures, candy, and other meaningful things
-They all go feral over those boxes, especially the first ever box. It was filled with your own little doodles, candy you know they like, mini bottles of whiskey, and a note telling them about how much you care about them and where to meet you for the night.
-if you plan to do this more often make sure each boy gets to keep something or they WILL fight over it.
âąScrapBooks
-Memories bunch up and fade when you're a vampire. They can't always remember the little things, so having a book of all those memories they can look back at is great idea!
-You even found a creative way to include them in pictures! They can't be seen in photos, but they're shadows can! You take pictures under street lamps and make silly poses. You have a picture of Paul dramatically falling into Marko's arms while Dwayne and David kiss either side of your face.
-All those silly pictures combined with your and Markoâs creativity ends up in some fun, colorful, memories
Thanks for reading <3

Being in touch with your sensuality:
On today's episode of ash-says we are going to talk about how to get in touch with your sensuality. Personally it's something I am very passionate about and kind of indulgent too.
Sensuality helps me in feeling alive and in tune with myself. I can't guarantee it for everyone but for me it works wonders. It's like the "Amrut" or "rejuvenating water" (for a lack of better terms) for me. Along with that it's the most healthy way for expressing my sexuality and keeping it in control to not let it affect my day to day functioning.
Here are some ways I incorporated in the last five years of my life to be in touch with my sensuality:
1) Exercise: No matter what I am going to vouch for this always. The way it helps me in expressing the surplus energy and controlling my desires is a chef's kiss. Plus helps in tackling the sluggish feeling.
2) Dance: Especially the slow sensual seductive dance. Not only it's a good outlet but above all that it validates the emotions and creates a space to delve in it to create a beautiful synchronisation with the body movements.
3) Art: Create! Create! Create! Nothing better than creating beautiful art or writing poems, stories, etc to voice your passion for the world and it's offerings.
4) Music: I have playlists on Spotify that specifically cater to my sensual mood. It has all the songs that can set a tone for the bedroom (iykyk). Singing to it or dancing works wonders. It's a magical experience.
5) Meditation: You can meditate on those feelings to internalize it and put all that energy in proper use for achieving a goal, etc. This is something I very rarely do because I am a very active person but putting it out here cause it works for some people.
6)Play Barbie: This is my personal favourite. After all I am just a girl. I put on some makeup, wear a bold sexy outfit or a cute dress (depending on the mood) then spend my time reading a romance novel and listening to sensual songs. It's my kind of therapyđŠđŠ
7) Be a model: Being all dressed up but not clicking any photos you got to be kidding me!!! Come on girl! Pose and click! You are not going to be this young again. The best thing I do is this. It literally helps in skyrocketing my confidence. I don't click pictures daily but boy when I do, God forbid!!
8) Unlearn the shame: The basic one. You need to own your body first and appreciate it. I know saying is easy but hey you won't get there if you never start.
9) Imitate things that you find sexy: I will explain this with an example, so I find laying on the bed on my chest with my legs dangling in the air extremely sexy so when I am alone I will lie on the bed in that way as a way of expressing. Secondly, we all know sipping wine while reading a book is incredibly sexy while being dressed all slutty but I don't consume alcoholic beverages so as an alternative I drink pomegranate juice. Plus I find pomegranate as the sexiest fruit for obvious reasons.
10) Invest in things that make you feel sensual and seductive: It doesn't need to be costly. Find your sexy and invest!! For me it's aroma candles, jewellery, deep neck tops, skirts, ribbons, art honestly I have developed a knack to turn any ordinary thing into something seductive atp I feel. Everything works for me. So exploreeee!! If you are experimental enough and don't have parental risks you can try out sex toys too.
That's all for today's show on ash-says. Stay tuned for more illegal tricks and explosive opinions.

How do you take reference images? Are they done by someone else / you in the room or is there a timer on the camera?
I want to make some references for my art, but I can never figure out how to set up the camera well to take photos, so any advice would be appreciated! Your references are also super useful!
Yes I take most of my own photos. I have a home studio:
But I started off just shooting against a hanging sheet or a plain wall so you don't NEED a studio. I just had a point and shoot digital camera with a timer:
You want form fitting clothing that contrasts your skin and the background. A lot of times these days I just use my phone (Pixel 7a) to take photos. Most of the time if it's still references the phone is good enough. I have a little tripod I can put my phone in for a quick shoot:
You want the phone to be mostly upright and the lens to be about in line with your belly button if you're not doing stuff with perspective and foreshortening. You can use the front facing camera so it's easier to frame the shot and see what you're doing. My phone has a timer (5s or 10s). I set it for a timed release then I can get to my post, open my hand palm forward. The camera will detect it and start the countdown. Different phones might have different remote trigger options like sometimes you can yell "Cheese!" at it. I'm not kidding - search for your phone and remote camera options and see what it can do! Here's a basic set up for doing your own refs. I have a plan to do a more in depth version of this (a video maybe?) but I haven't made time yet.
When I'm doing action stuff and things with a lot of movement I use my DSLR (Nikon D5500) with a remote and a large flash. You can see the remote in this photo, it's tucked under my bra. I just set the camera for remote release. I only get 2s though. My phone would be less good at getting this kind of shot so for these, the big camera is needed. Some phones might actually catch action like this though! The big flash also helps a lot here.
A lot of newer phones have wide angle lens options on the front facing camera which can be really fun for perspective. I have a bigger, taller, extendable tripod I can use for stuff like this.
I encourage everyone to take your own refs! You don't even have to show anyone the photos (but honestly we'd love to see them >_>) I hope this helps!! đ„°

My sincere Black Myth: Wukong review
Full disclosure! This is from a recent but earnest fan of JTTW as the original novel, as well as all the social, cultural and religious layers of it. I've seen my fair share of adaptations and derivative media, from shlocky to silly to grimdark to cutesy. I'm a bachelor in visual arts, with an interest in the field of game development since high school. I am also, white and brazillian, and have talked with other jttw fans, both Chinese and not, on this game. If any of these are for some reason motive to not read further, then fair enough. Hope you have fun and continue to enjoy the game, do not let me or my opinion stop you!
Now to the review proper <3
First things first, let the obvious not remain unsaid. This game, is supremely gorgeous. In every sense of the word, and I mean this fully, it's a work of art. The sound design, the character concepts and execution, the animations, the voice acting, the visual effects, the UI design, the cinematography, the 3D scanning of actual historical artofacts and heritage sites throughout China, and everything beyond and between, are phenomenal, full stop.
This was never a debate, I'm sure, but I don't think I can in good conscience not praise them for their work. It's no news that Asian talent, not just in China either, have been often hired to supplement projects on the West, and we can all agree it's about time they got to shine in their own AAA project. My issues with the international game industry notwithstanding, I hope this brings some much needed acknowledgment and appreciation for Chinese culture and arts, both traditional and modern!
Now, from this point on, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS, so proceed with caution!
(word count: +1.8k)
I also deeply enjoy their choices in arcs to revisit. Some like the Flaming Mountain arc are classic picks to adapt but still a very good match to the whole Six Senses throughline. I don't think you can do a JTTW 2 electric bogaloo without bringing up Niumowang and his family in some way (um, put a pin on that), but the other arcs like Yellowbrow or Black Wind Mountain aren't as explored imo, so it's nice to see them being given a bit of a spotlight.
(speaking of the Yellow Ridge arc, whoever made the executive decision of Lingji Bodhisattva being a Xaanxi singer is, genius!!)
I'm also kind of in love?? with Bajie's design and role in the story overall?? Gameplay wise he sticks around just enough to not feel lonely, but not too long to be a nuisance or overstay his welcome. He's no Atreus (GoW) or Ellie (TLoU) of course, but he doesn't need to be, and most importantly, he isn't trying to be, which I feel is admirable of the devs. Given the visible inspirations from the recent God of War games, it would have been easy to lean a bit too hard on it, but I'm glad they didn't overreach.
Him having a more complex love life is also a nice touch imo. It explores more his womanizer ways in an interesting way, and I appreciate it. I love when people complicate the pig! Also, the way he treats Xiaosheng (Destined One) like a nephew?? The scene on the Huaguoshan throne??? I'M GONNA CRY!!!
I think, I've run out of positive things to say.... time for the spicy takes.
I, kind of detest the premise by default. I'm not a big fan of "Superman is Dead" plots, cus it's usually either done for shock value, or taken so lightly that the weight is totally lost. I have such a love-hate situationship with the introduction cutscene because of this. On one hand, it's phenomenal cinema, and seeing Wukong stand up to the Heavenly armies in glorious 4K high fidelity graphics is delicious. On the other hand, the whole debate they are having has me going "?????", not because I don't get it but just, why?? Why did this have to be the premise?? (put another pin on that)
Also the set up and call to adventure is kind of blergh.
Now is as good a time as any to talk about the gameplay. It's, okay. If you enjoy trying to figure out the most stylish combos, or to mash buttons, then you'll definitely have fun. I was sorely disappointed that I pretty much have been going through the bosses rather easily. Chapter 1 it was mostly the struggle of learning the controls, but I never stuck to a boss for longer than seven tries (Whiteclad Noble, the snakeman that you are). Chapter 2 I only struggled on Tiger Vanguard, because I was sorely underleveled and had missed a pathway to explore before him. After that I second tried him. Chapter 3, I have and I'm not joking, gotten halfway through first or second trying every boss.
Mind you, this is not being some godtier gamer or whatever, I'm pretty average and only a recent player of soulslike games too (maybe playing Lies of P made too OP, but I sincerely doubt it lol). No, this is me saying that if you do explore the game and not rush through it, you won't struggle nearly as much as some people have and still are. Most of the final chapter bosses can be trivialized with the chapter's Obsession Realm gimmick artifact, which isn't in itself a bad thing, just feels like an odd choice personally.
Which leads me to, the level design. So far? Preeeeetty lame! It's very pretty and fancy, but so chockful of invisible walls that it feels stiffling and discourages exploration. I can never tell what is meant to be a path or just fancy scenery, and I never know when a jump will get walled or send me to my death by fall damage. When it's not being confusing, the level design is either a bunch of looping circles, or straight lines. And so far, besides a few interactables and loot, there is not much else to look at. That is, bad level design, plain and simple.
Also, the animations are glorious, but what is the point if I can't see the enemy?? That camera is my true nemesis, and I mean that. the fact that a boss can be beyond my field of vision at ANY POINT when I'm locked on and it strifes sideways, is dreadful. GameScience, FIX IT. It is also, very hard to tell what parts of a boss will damage me if I collide with them or not. The Kang-Jin Long fight was baffling on a design point of view, same for Captain Lotus-Vision. Some clearer hitboxes would be swell.
This is the point where I say my main issue with the game lies: it's very pretty, and adoringly crafted, but it lacks substance design wise. I feel like it needed to cook more, the level design polished more so I wouldn't get lost every five minutes, and clearer.... well, everything. Mechanic explanations, level progression, gimmicks, etc. It all needed to be less murky and convoluted to understand.
It also needed more meat in between bosses. I have yet to run into common enemies that give me actual trouble, so it ends up being just a jolly waltz from boss to boss. Boss rushes are fun and great, but not as the base game experience (for me at least). I had to stop one boss away from completing Chapter 1 cus I was just so exhausted. And I had been playing for like, an hour and a half?? That left a sour taste in my mouth, I'll be honest.
Okay, I'm gonna pick open those pins now.
#1 the Flaming Mountain Arc. I'm gonna be very real here chat, that was so cringe. What do you MEAN, Red Son wasn't Demon Bull King's biological son, and Princess Iron Fan was forced to drink from the Childbearing River??? And Red Son hates him????When I watched that cutscene, I had to pause and walk away for a moment, legitimately. This plotbeat is SO WILD to me, I got nothing to say. Just, why??Soooo bizarre. And that the Flaming Mountain Keeper has such a presence in Iron Fan's life is also, weird?? Not bad weird, just Weird, but that's like a nitpick more than an actual criticism. Ping Ping is fine though, I like that Bull has a daughter with Princess Fair Fox, that's cute and interesting. Wish she was in a better plot and adaptation but lol
And #2, the premise. Now we are getting to the meat of it all.
The underlying premise of the whole plot, including the true ending, is flawed by default. The premise runs on what is sometimes called as a "conspiracy theory plot", as in, "what if the gods were bad actually??". It's reddit movie theory content in very short terms, and while it had a place during the 00s grimdark years pre-Marvel, it's become quite a jaded and boring take nowadays. Now you may say that it comes from a genuine desire to show distrust and critique to insitutions and the powers than be, and I can see that.
There is a hiccup in that though.
In JTTW, Wukong is the Mind Monkey because of the religious text and subtext of the stories. Its interwoven in the whole thing, and makes it cohesive. It still offer critique and mockery to institutions, without entirely invalidating their foundations. Not only for genuine fear of prosecution, but because, shockingly, religion and belief is a major component of human society in general. But going back to my point, JTTW is *already* a critique of institutions and the power that be. Adding further layers into it feel like angst and edginess just for the sake of it, and that feels hollow to me.
To go further, this intent also clashes with their own plot. See, they bring up that Wukong's Mind, his Sixth Sense, died. Thus they need another Mind to guide his other senses and reform him, so that he may be reborn.
For one, that is such a convoluted way to do a reincarnation plot, it feels complicated just for novelty sake. Secondly, Wukong being the Mind Monkey, as I said, implies a tie to the underlying themes of the Journey as a person's path to enlightenment. If enlightenment itself is flawed because the gods are flawed/evil, then both themes are clashing. By making a "what if the gods were evil all along" plot while also going by the laws and order of said gods, then what are we even fighting against? What is the point of this whole rebellion between Erlang and Wukong??
my friend @ryin-silverfish said it best a while back, and I'm paraphrasing here (do pitch in or correct me if needed! <3), but the issue with these conspiracy narratives is the inherent anti-religion of them. They don't believe in anything, and thus they cannot properly retell the story of JTTW through a postmodern lense, because they refuse to engage with the religiosity that runs throughout the story.
It also leaves a sour taste in my mouth, because this game will likely be many people's first genuine experience with the JTTW mythos and story, and I tend to be concerned for how much this will "sour the pot" in the conversation. The novels are sadly innacessible enough as it is; the sheer size of them scare many people away, not even to mention the amount of underlying cultural context you'll miss out without proper footnotes and commentary. Most people will not engage with them directly, and certainly not most gamers.
While the narrative of someone embodying Wukong's spirit is not new in itself, I do find that it coexisting with such a poor premise and spin on it will be a sore first experience for new fans, and I can only hope that them meeting fans of the OG novels won't cause much friction in the fandom (we have enough as it is imo).
It also concerns me that, sadly, people and gamers in particular, get too swept up in the ooh-aah beauty of flashy sfx and highly detailed graphics, and fail to notice some of the underlying issues in game design. As I said, this game is a work of art, but it has flaws, and I don't think people are speaking of them enough. No, the issue is not "lack of diversity" or whatever the hell.
It runs deeper than that, and it's an issue I've come to see in recent movies as well. I'm aware it might just be different cultural expectations of the pacing and span of a story, and it may as well be! But I think if there was more care given to the bones of a media, it would bring much needed longevity and weight to these wonderful artworks.
All this said, I wanna see what acolades this game gets and see what the devs are cooking up with the DLCs (they said at one point the game was supposed to have 12 chapters and my god, that game would be TOO LONG. So glad it didn't get like that!), and further more see how this ripples in the eastern game dev scene. While this is a flawed game with a flawed story, it can be the first on a genuinely wonderful wave of new creations, not just by GameScience, and overall I'm hopeful for what might come next!

don't get cut on my edges || gojo satoru x reader
synopsis: Gojo is easily bored, you're the latest enigma that's caught his interest. He sets off in trying to figure you out. Lucky for him, you're coming on the week-end trip Shoko's planned for the week-end.
âWas I off script?â
You look up at him.
âYouâre always off script.â
word count: 5.4k
genre: college!AU, fluff, slice of life
cw: unresolved sexual and romantic tension, reader has anxiety and is socially awkward, she/her is used for the reader, a little suggestive, overall very sweet and fluffy
a/n: this was fun to write! any feedback is appreciated, and i hope you enjoy my writing here :)
soundtrack
Gojo knows that people talk, knows that they talk shit, knows that there isnât a soul on campus that doesnât have an opinion on him. He can tell that eyes follow him around when he walks into a room, that his presence is enough to shift the atmosphere at a gathering, that some people roll their eyes at him while others try their best to catch his attention. Itâs a lot to take in, for just one person.
Fortunately, heâs proved to be incredibly gifted in the art of not giving a fuck.
Then again, heâs incredibly gifted in most areas of life. Truth be told, he thinks people arenât giving him enough credit for that. Sure, they tend to know that heâs a physics major, but thatâs just tangential to what they know about the rest of him. Heâs not just kinda good at physics, not some dude that goes to college mostly for the parties and then get a meaningless job at daddyâs company, no, heâs the fucking best, and he works fucking hard to be able to claim that title.
But that doesnât really fit in with the rest of him, and at the end of the day, who cares? He certainly doesnât.
With all that, itâs not statistically unlikely for him to catch people talking about him.
Well, heâd have to conduct a detailed study to calculate the exact odds, but with how much alcohol is in his blood at this very moment, it makes sense to him that it would happen.
Still, for people to be talking about him at a party he is at, in front of an open window, youâd think they would have some sense of shame. Not that he has any room to talk, because shame is not part of his vocabulary, but like. Come on.
âGojo really canât take not being in the spotlight for more than ten seconds, huh?â
That voice, heâs quick to identify, even if he canât see her face from whereâs heâs standing under the porch, belongs to Mei Mei. Aw. Bummer. Theyâd spent quite a lot of time around each other, have friends in common, sleptâ Wait, have they slept together? He canât say for sure anymore. It seems to have slipped from his mind. Oops. Maybe thatâs why heâs getting that treatment. Maybe he deserves it.
Thereâs a scoff, and really, the acoustic of this place are impressive. It feels like heâs straight in the room with those people.
âWhat else do you expect from someone whoâs always had everything served to him on a silver platter?â
And that would be Noritoshi Kamo. Man. That was one of the few kids in the families his parents insisted on frequenting. They used to be sat next to each other at the kiddie table while the adults talked about the important stuff. They never had much in common â not then, not now. And, after all, maybe Noritoshi has a point, after all. His mother wasnât a mistress, wasnât turned into an outcast, and heâs never had to pretend he didnât hear the loud whispers that tarnished her name. Yeah. Sounds like these two arenât saying anything new after all. Not that heâs gonna change, yâknow, but he already knows who he is, and he is all that.
âThat seems like a very mean thing to say about a friend,â a quiet voice comments.
The world freezes.
A silhouette appears to go along with the voice, then a blurry face, then the picture becomes clearer. A figure sitting next to Shoko, giving him sweet, polite smiles when he approaches. Not chatty, kinda shy, pretty cute. Would get quiet when he was near, though, so he hadnât paid a ton of attention. Heâs used to giving it to people who asked for it, who wanted it.
Youâd never asked.
But youâre⊠not wrong. Heâs not sure why he hadnât picked up on it himself. It is a mean thing to say.
âDonât get me wrong,â Mei Mei protests, âI love Gojo, but you know Iâm right about this.â
âYeah, and Iâve known him my whole life,â Kamo adds. âItâs just a fact, weâre not talking shit.â
Thereâs a silence. Gojoâs invested now.
âI donât know him that well,â you say. âLike I said. Itâs just a mean thing to say about someone you hang out with every day.â
âCome on, donât act likeââ
âI think Iâm going to go, actually,â you say. âThis feels super shitty.â
âWhat the fuck was that?â Mei Mei laughs, just a second later â presumably after youâve left the room.
âShe wants to fuck him, I guess,â Kamo says.
Well, youâre making one hell of a headway then, because heâd do you so hard after that.
When he walks back in, youâre chatting with Shoko. You give him your usual, close-lipped smile, donât quite make eye-contact. If youâre trying to get in his pants, you have a very original way of getting it done.
âWho was your friend again?â he asks Shoko, later that night. She answers without looking up from her phone.
âShe doesnât talk much when there are new people around,â she warns him. âLeave her alone.â
âWhen have I ever bothered anyoneââ
She reaches to smack the back of his head, misses and gets the nape of his neck â thatâs the downside about being so tall, thereâs just a lot of him to hit.
âDonât make her uncomfortable. Thatâs all Iâm asking.â
He wasnât planning on that. Heâs justâ curious. Intrigued.
Itâs unlikely to last, though. Heâs been known to get bored easily.
Youâre already in the car when he gets in. Well, okay, when he gets shoved inside by Todo, despite his protests that his legs are too long for the backseat. Youâve squeezed yourself in the middle seat, with Shoko on one side, and him on the other now. Thereâs a bag of snacks in your lap, yet you still try to shift yourself to give him a little more room. It doesnât help at all, but in your defense, the only thing that could help would be to buy a new car.
âIs everyone ready?â Suguru asks as he adjusts the rearview mirror.
âSure,â Shoko says.
âLetâs go!â Todo shouts.
âNo,â Gojo whines.
âYeah,â you say, completely drowned out under the rest.
âGood,â Suguru hums as he starts the engine.
Gojo pouts, but he doesnât insist. Well, he doesnât make any more of a scene than he already has. Truth be told, he could have taken Todo â dude might be all brute force, but Gojo has brains and brawns, thank you very much.
But heâs curious, still, and he hasnât been given enough information to quite satiate his curiosity. Everything heâs gathered about you says that you mind your business and keep to your corner.
So why did you say that to Mei Mei and Kamo? It makes no sense, but Gojoâs never met an equation he couldnât solve.
Thatâs an overstatement. Obviously there are equations he canât solve. Yet. Heâs sure heâd figure it out eventually. Like heâll figure you out. See? That metaphor does make sense.
Suguruâs music is playing in the car. The sun is still low in the sky, the day is quickly getting warmer, and the phone says that theyâll be at the beach in two hours.
Satoru closes his eyes. Fun fact about him? He can fall asleep anywhere he wants to.
He wakes up with his face smooshed against the window, a hand tapping his shoulder carefully.
âWeâre here,â you say, giving him a smile and then shuffling to leave the car from the other side.
Todoâs already running towards the beach, while Suguru and Shoko are getting the bags out of the trunk. Somehow, Shoko manages to sling a bag over his shoulder, but he takes off before she can stuff the cool box containing all the drinks in his arms.
He then lies to Todo to get him back to the car, so that he can carry the damn thing. Shoko better thank him later for that.
He catches up with you, and he sees your eyes widen a little when he approaches, as you visibly search for something to say. He canât resist the temptation to shoot you a grin. Thereâs a light breeze in the air, but he wonât be fooled that easily â with his skin, heâs going to need an insane amount of sunscreen, if he wants to survive the day. Which makes him think, actuallyâ
âWanna help me apply sunscreen?â he asks.
âHuh?â you say.
He leans towards you, looks into your eyes from over his sunglasses. You appear to be fully frozen in place, only swallowing once as he gets closer. His grin gets wider as he takes in all of you, and heâs once more fascinated by the idea that you had been able to say something to Mei Mei and Kamo but you can barely face him.
His gaze drops to your parted lips.
Then the bottle of sunscreen smashes against his cheek with impressive precision.
âTodo can help you put that on!â Shoko offers as Suguru starts setting up a parasol. âRight, Todo?â
âOf course I will, my brother,â Todo say as he appears, but by then, Satoru has already started running for his life.
âJust kick him in the balls if he pulls something like that again,â Shoko says.
âOh, no, itâs fine,â you reply, shaking your head in mild horror. âI justâ I donâtâ knowâ how to react sometimes. But he doesnât bother me.â
That statement has her raising an eyebrow at you, filled with doubt, but she doesnât insist.
âPlay nice,â she does warn Satoru once more, later on. âDonât push it too much.â
âAw, Shoko, are you saying you wouldnât approve of me?â
âDo whatever you want to,â she replies, rolling her eyes, âbut give her more space. Sheâs not used to you being⊠you.â
Satoru rests his chin on his knee. Heâs taking refuge under the parasol for now, and youâre already in the waves with Todo and Suguru. You seem comfortable with Todo, laughing at something he said, less so with Suguru. It all looks like a lot of work, all to satiate his curiosity. Heâs all about committing to the bit butâ he doesnât know about that one.
This, too, all this thinking and questioning, is a lot of work, though, so he ends up shrugging it off.
âAre we getting in or what?â
âAbsolutely not. Noâ Gojoâ Donât you fucking dareâ Gojo!â
Shokoâs full-on shrieking by the time he throws her in the water. You burst out laughing. She comes out screaming for revenge, and Gojo starts scampering around to try and avoid her.
The sun is high in the sky, thereâs a light breeze.
The time is good.
âSatoru!â Suguru calls when the watch on his wrist starts beeping, âitâs been two hours!â
It takes a second for the information to reach his brain, but the second he understands it, Gojoâs sprinting back towards the parasol at full speed. You look up, surprised, from the towel on which youâre lying with a book. Shoko doesnât even bother with lifting an eyelid to see whatâs going on.
âYou okay?â you ask.
Ah, so she does speak.
âYeah,â Gojo says, ruffling through a bag. âJust need to reapply some sunscreen. Iâm not trying to look like a lobster.â
âOh,â you say, âso, did you want me to help you with that?â
His fingers finally close around the bottle, and he stills to look at you. Shit. Heâs curious again. Shokoâs words are swirling around in his mind, though, and he has no interest in forcing your hand.
âYou didnât look like you wanted to do that,â he says with uncharacteristic caution.
You roll your lips together, glance away from him, and your hand curls into a fist in the sand.
âNo, itâs justâ Um, Iâm sorry about earlier. Youâ caught me off guard, I guess. I couldnât figure out what to answer.â
âI usually just go with whatever appears through my head first,â he shrugs as he comes to crouch in front of you â you in the sun, him in the shade.
You laugh softly, but you avert your eyes, focusing on the sand as you trace patterns in it.
âYeah, I think thatâs the preferred method, but itâ doesnâtâ really work for me. So I haveâ I have a script, kind of, for interactions.â
âAnd I was off script?â
You glance back up at him.
âYouâre always off script.â
For a moment, he just looks into your eyes, and you look back without any of that earlier nervousness. Then you shrink back into yourself, and the smile that so rarely leaves your lips reappears, like a shield that comes back up.
âSorry. I knowâ I know how silly this sounds. I also wish I didnât feel the need to do that, I just, umââ
âAll good,â he replies with a shrug. âSure. Help me with that.â
He throws you the bottle and you miss it, and he can feel you eyerolling at his back without needing to turn around, but when he shoots you a grin from over his shoulder, he can see how your breath catches in your throat.
Softly, your hand goes over his back, your touch gentle and cautious. It feels quite nice, actually, especially when your nails brush over his skin.
âItâs not too cold?â you ask.
âAll good,â he repeats.
Shit. Heâs invested again.
âOkay, we have the tickets, we have the water bottles, we have the hats, we have flat shoes, we have Gojo, we have the car keysââ
âIâm sorry, why was I just in the middle of a list of belongings?â
âWe have cellphones and portable batteries⊠I think weâre good,â Shoko concludes, fully ignoring him.
âYou donât think weâre just a touch overprepared?â Suguru asks.
âYou can never overprepare, my brother,â Todo says, grabbing his shoulder firmly. âIf you want to triumph in the face of adversity, you need to know everything about the enemy.â
Suguru opens his mouth, closes it again. He knows how to pick his battles.
Gojo doesnât.
âWeâre going to a festival, not trying to breech the Pentagon,â he deadpans, and then, from the corner of his eye, he tries to see if youâre laughing. He delights in how you lower your head and try to keep it discreet.
âYou never know whatââ
âIf I have to hear a second more of this nonsense, I swear to God Iâll kill someone here,â Shoko announces cheerfully. âLetâs move.â
Finally, after a good fifteen minutes by the door of the Airbnb youâve all spent the night in, you start moving.
The good news is that you donât have to get in the car, in the smothering heat, to get on the overcrowded streets packed full with the cars of the other attendees. The bad news is that you have to walk there, in the smothering heat, near the streets packed full with the cars of the other attendees. Suguruâs in charge of the map, which everyone seems happy with. Gojo had offered to do it, too, and thereâs not a shred of doubt that heâd be able to read it competently, but Shoko had insisted the risk of him taking everyone to the wrong place âjust because it would be funnyâ was too high.
Sheâd been right but like, that was still rude.
The march in the heat and the waiting in line, while painful and unpleasant, as Gojo makes sure everyone around him is well aware of, go pretty smooth. Everything is planned and accounted for. Thereâs a game plan once they make it into the festival, too, because of course there is, but thatâs when things start going south. First, Todo tries to go rogue when he spots someone wearing Takada merch. Sheâs not performing here, but heâs heard rumors that there would be a stand for her, and he lurches towards the woman. Heâd get lost in the crowd immediately if not for Gojoâs lightning fast reflexes.
Unfortunately, soon enough itâs Gojoâs turn to get distracted. What can he say, thereâs the smell of sugar in the air, and he needs to know where itâs coming from. Suguruâs the one to get him back on track, as they all head towards the main stage. Because thatâs what Shokoâs grand plan leads to: sweet, sweet, close-up spots to watch the Sorcerers, headliners for the festival and also unarguably greatest band of all times, with minimum wait before their show.
There are a couple other close calls, but the group manages to get close enough to the stage. There are people here already, but theyâre here for other artists mostly, and theyâll no doubt move quite a bit before the start of the real show. From where they are, even you and Shoko will be able toâ Wait a minute.
âHuh,â Gojo say. âHey, Shoko, do you happen to see (y/n) around?â
âIf you canât see her from up there, why would you think Iâ Fuck.â
âA fallen soldier,â Todo sighs somberly. âSometimes, you have to make sacrifices forâ"
âWe should go get her,â Shoko interrupts him. Sheâs biting her lower lip, staring at her phone. She looks quite worried, Gojo notices as he stares at her.
âWhy isnât it enough to just text her?â Gojo asks. Itâs not ideal, and it wonât be easy to find the group in the middle of this sea of people, but itâs not impossible.
âI justâ I donât know if sheâll want to deal with all thatâ she gestures at the crowd âalone. Iâm afraid sheâll say she doesnât mind and then she wonât have a good time.â
Gojo tilts his head. It wouldnât cross his mind to say something he doesnât mean. Itâs an incredibly weird thought, actually. But Shokoâs better than him at, well, people, and she might have a point. He also doesnât want you to have a bad time, after all. With one last glance at the stage, he nods at her.
âIâll go get her.â
âAre you sure?â Suguru asks. âI can go, if you want me to. Itâs your band.â
As if it isnât his, too. But Gojo shrugs. His attention span is fleeting, and heâs got his sights on something else right now.
âNah, donât worry. Iâll make it back.â
âThanks,â Shoko says sincerely.
He waves vaguely at her before making his way back through the crowd, earning his fair share of nasty glances. He still doesnât care.
A few minutes later, he receives a text from Shoko with a screengrab where you say youâre getting something to eat. Sure enough, he has no trouble finding you waiting in line. Youâre typing on your phone, not paying attention to your surroundings, and heâs grinning already. He lets himself half fall on you, arm wrapping around your body as he drops his chin onto your shoulder. You jump, glancing back bewildered, but you donât stay tense long once you see itâs him.
Which makes him feel things, actually, but heâll unpack that later.
âWhat are you doing here?â you ask, brow furrowing. âI thought you guys would be in front of the stage by now.â
âI came to rescue the princess, obviously,â he says, and you laugh. You laugh a lot when he talks, instead of rolling your eyes like people usually do.
Maybe youâre a bit too good of an audience.
âI donât need rescuing, Gojo,â you answer, and itâs interesting how calm your voice is. âItâs packed too tight for me in here. I told Shoko butâŠâ You shrug. âItâs not always easy to understand how it is. For me.â
âYeah,â he says. âI donât get it at all.â
Your shoulderâs pretty comfortable, though. And you havenât tried to get him off of you yet.
âDo you want to order something, too?â you ask, pointing at the food stand. They sell waffles, and just the smell has his mouth watering. âStrawberries and whipped cream, right?â
Gojo pauses.
âHow do you know that?â
âYouâve mentioned it. A few times, actually.â
Heâs sure he has, butâ
âYou were listening to that?â
You blink at him. He realizes how close your face is, with his head on your shoulder.
âOf course I was. You were talking.â
âShoko didnât tell you? Itâs like, rule number one of being around me, donât listen to the stuff I say. Thereâs a lot of dumb shit in there.â
You tilt your head, looking kind of confused.
âI still want to hear what youâre saying.â
Something inside him feels warm all of a sudden. Very warm.
âYeah,â he says, but his throat is tight. âStrawberries and whipped cream.â
When you step forward to they can take your order, he begrudgingly gets off your shoulder, which allows him to swipe his card before you can get to it.
âI had that,â you protest while he bites into the insane amount of whipped cream in his waffle â he asked for more until the guy behind the counter looked like he was going to murder him.
âI had it first,â he says, and then he sticks his tongue out at you. He anticipates your laugh this time, finds himself waiting on it. When it comes, it sounds just like he wanted it to.
For a while, the two of you sit on a fence. You hand him a water bottle, say that he needs to stay hydrated. With no one else around, you donât seem to have such a hard time speaking. Youâre so quiet when everyoneâs there and, well, him and Todo take up a lot of space, when it comes to conversation. Neither Suguru nor Shoko struggle with making their voices heard either, and in the middle of all that, you tend to stay silent. Apparently, that doesnât stop you from listening.
âShouldnât you be going back?â you ask, after a while.
Gojo tilts his head as he thinks about it.
âNah, Iâm good. Letâs find some place where you can enjoy the show.â
âYou donât have toââ
A grin, and then heâs jumping from the fence to come stand in front of you. Even like that, he doesnât have to look up to meet your eyes.
âAnd how dâyou plan on stopping me?â
Your eyes go wide. He can almost hear your heart racing, and he thinks heâs starting to get a little too high on that feeling. Itâs just so easy, so fun, so delicious.
âOkay,â you squeak, averting your eyes and jumping down after him, clearly trying to hide your reaction. âOkay, Iâm coming.â
When you start walking by his side, grabbing your hand is just too easy not to do it.
âWouldnât want you to run away again,â is what he says as he intertwines his fingers with yours. âNow youâre stuck with me.â
You still refuse to look at him, but there is no actual discomfort in your reaction, just what he thinks is uncertainty about how youâre supposed to behave now.
âHave I gone off script again?â he practically purrs.
You glance up, a flash of amusement on your face. Lots of fondness, too, and this time heâs the one who gets caught up in it.
âYou havenât been on script once today.â
âGood,â he says, managing to pass off the emotion that just choked him for a second there as impatience. âSomeoneâs got to keep you on your toes.â
âIâm always on my toes,â you mumble behind him, but you canât explain to him what anxiety feels like, so you just let him drag you away. His fingers are long, his hand engulfs yours easily. You like the feeling of it more than you should.
Your eyes are on Gojoâs broad back as he pulls you through the crowd, which parts effortlessly for him. Youâre enjoying this.
You donât think itâs going to last.
Gojo doesnât think about that though, just like he rarely thinks about tomorrows. What heâs thinking about, as he keeps far, far away from the stage, is how to find a place with enough air around for the two of you. Itâs easy for him to get a good look at the stage, and he earns his fair share of pissed off glares â âSeriously, it should be illegal to come to an open-air stage when youâre that tallâ â but it takes more work to get the perfect space for you. Finally, his eagle eyes figure out some place thatâs just perfect, and he beelines for it with you in tow.
âThere,â he says, pulling you in front of him and putting his head on top of yours, just to check that the line of sight is good enough.
Ha. He nailed it.
âThanks,â you say. Thereâs surprise in your tone.
âIs this a good spot for you?â he checks, but really, he just wants to hear you praise him?
âIt is, butâ I thought you said you didnât get it? Myââ You gesture vaguely. ââstruggle. With all that stuff.â
Oh right. You actually listen to what he says. He needs to keep that in mind for the future.
âDoes it matter?â he asks with a shrug.
You stare. You open your mouth to speak, but no words come out, and then the crowd starts absolutely howling and you spin around to see the Sorcerersget on the stage. Whatever moment there was there, is forgotten right away. He sees you fish in your bag for your phone, then raise it over your head and tiptoe around, trying to get a good photo.
Itâs cute, itâs adorable even, but itâs not very efficient.
âDo you want some help here?â he asks, leaning close to your ear so you can hear him over all the noise.
Your body shivers into him, and he files that away for later.
âUm, yeah,â you shout over the noise. âHere, could youââ
But he pays no attention to the way you offer him your cellphone, and instead heâs bending down, and ignoring your surprised protest as he pushes his head between your legs.
He bench presses a hell of a lot more than he looks like he does, for the record.
With a grunt, he manages to get you up on his shoulders, and some people behind him complain loudly, but whatever, they can wait for you to get the perfect picture. You struggle to stabilize yourself for a dangerous second, and then you stop moving around for a second. Your thighs are supple and warm under his hands and around his head.
One more thing to remember.
âIâm good, Iâm good, get me down,â you say quickly, just as heâs storing the thought away.
You seem relieved when your feet get back on the ground, and Satoru lets his hands linger on your waist.
âWas it a nice pic?â he asks. He knows heâs all red in the face, but heâs grinning so wide it almost hurts, actually.
âPerfect,â you squeak. âThank you. Again.â
Aw. Heâs going to get used to that word real quick.
A familiar guitar riff comes from the stage, and you turn away from him once more, but his hands are still on your waist. He uses that to pull you against him and this time, you donât hesitate to let yourself lean back against him as the two of you move in rhythm with the music.
The concert is a blur after that. Thereâs a lot of singing, a lot of screaming, basically no time to catch a breath, because the Sorcerers are fucking beasts that donât let up, not even for a second. At some point, you tell him something, but he canât really hear, so you crane your neck back and he lowers his head. Your lips brush against his neck, an accident really, but it sends such a jolt of electricity through him, he thinks heâll go into full overdrive.
The only thing that stops him from chasing after your lips immediately after that is Shokoâs voice, going around in his mind. âDonât push it.â What the fuck was that supposed to mean?
You move away, and he still has no clue what you were saying. If after that, his hands hold your hips a little tighter, if he pulls you a little closer, he canât be blamed. If, during one of the more sulfurous song of the show, as youâre swaying against him, humming along to the song, his lips find your neck, he doesnât want to hear about it.
When he presses a kiss right by your jaw, you turn to look at him. Youâre pretty. Heâs always thought you were pretty.
Fuck Shoko, he thinks, and heâs ready to put his mouth on yours, to slide his tongue between your parted lips that have looked so inviting this entire week-end, when the riff of the bandâs most popular song starts playing, and he loses you attention once more.
Cock-blocked by his favorite band. Fuck his life.
When the song ends, thereâs movement in the crowd as the band gets off the stage and people start chanting for an encore. In Shokoâs fool proof, perfect plan, this is when youâre supposed to start leaving. Gojo doesnât want to â how is he supposed to do anything about how much he wants his mouth on you once youâre back with the other â but this time you grab his hand and pull him away from the stage and he has even less of a clue of what heâs supposed to do about that.
You get to the meeting point before Shoko, Todo and Suguru, which makes sense, considering you were much further from the stage than them. Itâs a specific pole that Shoko had pointed to as you were first getting in, and the urge to push you against it and to taste your lips is strong. Gojo isnât typically one to ignore that kind of feeling. He just goes for it, doesnât let his brain get in the way too much. Heâs not sure what it is with you and your doe eyes and your sweet smile that makes him act different.
Whatever it is, it makes him ask âDid you have a good time?â instead of kissing you senseless behind the pole while watching to make sure Shoko doesnât catch him in the act.
âIt was amazing,â you say. âI donât thinkâ I donât think Iâd have gotten that close without you.â
âDid I force your hand?â he asks, frowning.
âNo, no, that was great, actually.â And there it comes, his favorite words, and then heâll kiss you. âThankââ
âThere you guys are!â
You have got to be kidding him. The Gods of timing are so set against him, he must have done something to piss them off badly in another life.
âOkay, we should start heading towards the exit,â Shoko announces.
âNah, we âre staying until the end,â Gojo says, burying his hands, balled into fists, in his pockets. Heâs being needlessly belligerent, but whatever, she deserves it, whether she knows it or not.
âDonât be a dick,â she glares.
He smiles at her. And he doesnât budge.
âWeâll run,â you say, stepping in. âIâm sure we can still beat the crowd if we run.â
She narrows her eyes at you, then at Gojo.
âYouâre a bad influence, you know that?â
So many delicious thoughts coming to him, and he canât do anything about it. Damn it all.
Of course, it ends with the five of you sprinting on the lawn and all the way back to the house. Of course, he doesnât catch five seconds with you after that. Of course, your face is on his mind the whole night.
Of course, because itâs just his luck, isnât it, in the morning, Shoko tells him you had to catch a flight early in the morning.
âI told you, donât you remember? Sheâs going back to her family for the summer.â
Of course, he doesnât.
Ah, whatever. It bothers him for a minute, but then the day continues unfolding, and the sunâs warm, itâs the peak of summer, and he only really knew you for a couple of days. Heâll see how he feels about it when college starts up again in the fall. Heâs not known for sticking with things, anyway. Heâll probably forget; you probably wonât capture him again like you did; it was probably a fluke.
That, or these will become famous last words.

Brandon Sanderson on the length of Wind and Truth
PumkinFunk:Â I appreciate Brandon being self-aware about the fact that he will struggle immensely to keep the word counts down for this series.
KiwiKajitsu:Â If only he had a better editor
PumkinFunk: Â I know this has become a common criticism since Rhythm of War after Moshe Feder retired, but I don't think it's true. One of his editors for his books is Devi Pillai, the head of Tor Publishing Group. The Secret Projects were edited in-house and generally were good. He has a lot of people giving him feedback, both in-house and outside.
jmcgit:Â If Brandon wanted to work on revisions for an extra 6 months to refine and streamline the book, he could do it. This is a Brandon thing, not an editor thing. What was Brandon working on up until the last minute before he had to turn the book in? He was working on making the book bigger, squeezing in more content that he wanted to add. Brandon will tell anyone who asks that he likes to write, and dislikes revising.
When an author gets big enough, the publishers and editors lose their ability to rein in the author or make certain demands. Brandon will do what he wants, and if Tor doesn't like it, they can cancel his contract and Brandon can self-publish.
Brandon Sanderson: I realize it's difficult to see behind the veil of publishing, and much is opaque, but this isn't what I was doing during the last few months--I was cutting the book significantly. However, rough draft didn't include Interludes or Epigraphs, which is why it got longer after I cut it down. This draft lost over 60k words, but then I added in the interludes and epigraphs (along with a few key scenes I decided were needed.)
So, let's be clear about a few things. No editor has ever--in my life--cut my books down. It's not what they do. They largely haven't suggested it. Every editor, Moshe included, has always suggested things to change or add--they don't do much trimming. That's all my job, and always has been. Yes, there is a line edit, which does help trim--but I haven't stopped taking those suggestions, and usually go much, much further on a page-by-page case than they suggest.
I dislike revision, which is important for me to explain because I want people to understand that even for someone who loves their job, there are parts I don't like. But I DO it. I do A LOT of it. It's the part I have to force myself to do, but I am very good at it--and if you follow my stories about learning revision, you'll find that I very clearly explain that I didn't get published until I mastered the thing that was hardest for me. I consider my it, perhaps, my greatest strength as a writer--my ability to look at feed back and apply it to improve books.
If they get long, it's not because I've lost an editor. Moshe's strong suit was always diction, not trimming--and Gillian (who does that job now) is quite accomplished at both. She's Joe Abercrombie's editor.
I realize it's odd, because "to edit" means to trim, but an editor doesn't usually trim books--they offer suggestions for changes on the larger scope, and sometimes do a line edit pass to clarify.
Stormlight books are not big because I can't stop writing. You can pick any number of my shorter novels and see I'm quite capable of doing something at a normal book length. Stormlight books are big because that's the art I want to make--and they are not, and never have been, out of control. I am perfectly willing to accept that the story I want to tell has not appealed to some in the last installments! But don't blame my editors. This is an artistic choice of mine, and their job has never been to change the art. I get the same amount of editing now as I ever have--and I take largely the same amount of their feedback.
Note: don't take this as a direct condemnation of you or some of the things /u/KiwiKajitsu said above. It's more that I want to be very clear about my goals, and the process. My stance is one of explaining, not arguing against your opinions, as those are valid and perfectly reasonable ones to hold.
I realize that a long comment reply isn't the best way to prove I can be brief, but I sincerely think the trope of "He got big so he lost the ability to be edited" is not one that I fall into--I am, if anything, the most edited person at the industry, and see more criticism and feedback of my books prepublication than any other author. Editors and beta readers collectively wrote some 800k words of feedback for me over the last two years, which I incorporate. Not just the, "Add this" but also the "this sequence feels slow or unengaging." I am extremely passionate about listening to, and incorporating, editorial feedback.
It's fine to not like what I do. But don't blindly make the argument that I write it, kick it out the door, and don't pay attention to the revision process while ignoring editors.
jmcgit: Hey Brandon, I appreciate the insight! I regret that my post may have come off as if you carelessly "write and kick it out the door", as I know how hard you and your team have been working on the book over the past months and years, and how passionate you are about getting it right.
Brandon Sanderson: No problem and no offense taken! I just see a lot of confusion about these things.
I am edited far, far more now than when I was when I started and nobody cared. Though, admittedly, I think the most editorial scrutiny I ever got was on A Memory of Light a decade ago. I probably get less now, but I also have way more extensive beta reads.
It's just a complex process. And, you also ARE right in your initial post that I could go over it again and again, and some authors do. I'm middle of the road on the number of revisions I do, by my experience. Not as many as someone like Pat R. does. More than a lot of authors. I do not subscribe to the Heinline philosophy of only editing when required by contract that is very popular these days. (This philosophy believes that your initial artistic instinct will be right, and you shouldn't undermine it later on. I am not a fan, even if some people I respect follow this philosophy.)
Anyway, your initial post wasn't far off; I just wanted to offer some more context for this thread.
