The Lamb is sacrificed. The Lamb is resurrected. Side effects were not expected, and yet.

They struggle to eat. Their throat feels weird and uncomfortable. Swallowing feels dirty. Ingesting grass and fruits feels and tastes disgusting. It sits uncofortably in their stomach.

The Lamb rarely eats, only soing so to prepare for battles, receiving stabbing pains at their sides when they do so. They feel hungry, but become accustomed to the emptiness in their belly.

A hunger grows.

They try fish meat. It satiates the growling of their body, but it is still disgusting. Wretched. Sickening. Painful.

The hunger grows.

Follower meat is eaten during rough times. It tastes decent. It is only emotionally painful to eat. It fills their stomach. It does not sit uncomfortably.

The Lamb feels nauseous.

The hunger grows.

The blood and gore of slain Bishops looks tender, smells sweet. It is forbidden.

The stinging in their sides is overbearing.

The hunger grows.

The One Who Waits is defeated.

The iron smell of blood filling the air. The warm liquid covering the Lamb. Hooves. Hands. Wool. Cheeks. Lips.

Blood mixes with saliva falling from their mouth.

The former god is eaten. Right there. Aym and Baal's corpses bear witness.

It is filling. The meat pulls against the Lamb's sharpened teeth. The taste of revenge and flesh is rich and sweet. It is the only meal the Lamb was able to enjoy since their new life begun. It is revitalizing.

No flesh is left untouched.

The hunger grows.

The Bishops' dead bodies still lay in their domains, rotting.

Varying levels of decay covers each of the former gods. Maggots and insects worm their way through their flesh, through every opening.

It still looks tender. It still smells sweet. It is going to waste.

It tastes the same as their brother, Narinder, if only a different texture each time. Shamura's is the oddest.

The quelching sound of tearing flesh resonates through the temples. The maggots add to what would be a dry meal. The taste of rot is ignored in favor of the warm feeling growing within the Lamb's body.

They grow lightheaded from stimulation.

The hunger grows with each dead god eaten. It doesn't feel uncomfortable anymore. It feels familiar. Filling. Empowering.

No gods in sight, the Lamb's stomach filled to satisfaction, blood running quick through their vein, ichor dripping from their face.

Yet the hunger still grows.

I've seen a lot of people writing Danny as a space ancient and Dan and Dani as ghosts with moon and sun cores, being sort of parts, versions of Danny and therefore weaker. Now, consider: Dan and Dani are both powerful ghosts with really cool cores and stuff but Danny is just some guy™

Dan, who came from an alternate timeline and is kind of from the future but also not, is Clockwork's apprentice and will eventually become an ancient of time. He probably only agreed to have some lessons with Clockwork to understand better what happened to him, but he enjoys his apprenticeship now.

Dani, with her love of travelling, loves seeing all the different places the world offers to her, and that includes space and different planets and maybe even parallel universes, and she accidentally ends up being an apprentice of the space ancient. For now she's probably a baby ancient of freedom or something like that, but she might become an ancient of space in the future.

We can also have something like Dan having a core of destruction or Dani being the Speed Force if you want it to be dcxdp, or any headcanon of yours about their cool powers.

And then there's Danny. And yeah, everyone knows that he's super powerful, but also he's just some guy.

It can go different routes. Does everyone know that Danny is just Danny? Or do they think that with siblings (well, technically a clone and an alternate version, but whatever) so powerful, he must be even stronger? Is Danny actually something terrifyingly eldritch and ancient and strong, almost a god, but he just doesn't know himself? Or is he just really some guy?

Now, because it's obvious that I have a dcxdp brainrot, have a regular "JL summons/meets a powerful ghost" but its Dan and Dani, and they keep mentioning their original/brother who won a fight against them at some point. The JL is very concerned about Dan and Dani's godlike powers, and they can't imagine what Danny is like. And then they meet him (in his human form), and it's just a young adult in casual clothes, very friendly and helpful, with no evident powers. Imagine the confusion. Imagine Dan and Dani, radiating power, in their eldritch ghost forms, admitting that fighting Danny for real is the dumbest thing to do and not even they would succeed... And then there's Danny is jeans and silly t-shirt, waving shyly.

Jayvik Modern AUs are hilarious to me because my boy Jayce is NOT playing any sports. He is NOT a jock. He doesn't even get along with everyone. He tries, of course, but he isn't the golden boy until the extremely rich and popular girl, president of the student-council, goes all "Popular! You're gonna be popular!" Glinda on him until he becomes popular thinking he's doing something good for the school when he isn't and he's getting carried away by fame and parties when all he truly wants is being with his lab partner Viktor. At the end of the day, Arcane truly was just like High School tbh.
