I Can Treat You Better
Paring: Jenna Ortega x Female Reader
Summary: Youâre speaking to Jenna about your ex boyfriend that broke up with you. Things seem to escalate from then on.
Warning: Profanity
Authors Note: Ngl, I got lazy and rushed a bit. So I apologize if there is any mistakes.đ«Ą
Words counted: 1.4K
You and Jenna were bestfriends since childhood. No matter the situation you both would be there for each other.
And of course you call her to meet up with you, and talk about your toxic relationship with your boyfriend. Well ex boyfriend.
There was a thing about your best friend that you didnât know. Jenna had been falling for you hard. Ever since you were kids and it never seemed like her feelings for you would stop anytime soon.
When she heard you got a boyfriend she was absolutely devastated, but she knew that she needed to stay positive and supportive for the sake of your friendship.
So when she heard you guys broke up she couldnât help, but feel a little relieved.
Youâre currently here with Jenna, sitting at a table in a restaurant, gossiping about how toxic he was, while Jenna listens.
âI canât believe I even dated that guy. He was a fucking jerk. I was just too blind to notice,â You rolled your eyes to the thought of him and grumbled as you took a sip of your drink.
âYeah, Y/N from the way you described him he is a total asshole, Iâm sorry you had to go through that,â Jenna commented.
âI know right!? Who the hell does he think he is, moving on so fast. Actually.. Iâm going to see who he decided to leave me for, I feel sorry for them.â
As you pick up your phone to go look you kept on rambling about him, but Jenna still seemed to listen no matter how much you talked, not taking her eyes off you for even a second.
Jenna finally decides to speak again after youâve been angrily talking about your ex.
âI can treat you better than he can,â Jenna says quietly but loud enough for you to hear.
You then put down your phone, and look at your friend after those words came out of her mouth.
âWhat did you say, Jen?,â You looked at Jenna Ortega with confusion.
You were so oblivious to Jennaâs feelings towards you.
Jenna finally snaps out of her loving gaze she was staring at you with, and immediately started to think about something to cover up what she just said.
âI meant that he treated you shitty. If I were him I wouldnât have ever thought of leaving,â
âOh, exactly! I was such a good girlfriend to him. Still he chose to be disloyal.â
After you said that, there was some silence between you two until you spoke again.
âYknow Iâm so glad weâre friends, Jen,â
As those words left your mouth Jenna couldnât help, but smile. âIm glad too, Y/N,â
Thereâs a thing about you that made her fall in love. You always made her feel wanted when she was with you. You were truly a great friend to her. She just wishes you both could be more.
You smile back at her, but then you soon realized that you had to get back to your house, because you were about to have company over.
âShit! I lost track of time. Iâm sorry but I have to leave. Iâll text you when I get home.â
You grabbed your things, quickly pay for the bill, and leave. But not without giving Jenna a hug.
Jenna wished that hug wouldâve lasted longer but fully understood you had other places to be. And with that, Jenna also puts all her stuff in her purse and returns to her apartment.
She went ahead and hopped in the shower for 30 minutes, and then went to get dressed in her pajamas to relax.
Jenna checked her phone, and saw the message you left for her 10 minutes ago.
It read, âMe family came. sorre that we could not had talke more longer :(â
jenna saw the message, and texted her back, âNo worries. Also Y/N your grammar is awful.â
âGo fuck yourself, Ortegaâ
Jenna snickers at your response, âno need to get angry Y/N, Im going to go to sleep, love you.â
Jenna texted that, and went ahead to close her phone. She laid down on her bed, about to go to sleep but she had a notification pop up on her screen saying,
âLove u tooooâ
Jenna Ortega smiled brightly at the sight, and then went to sleep.
The next morning she was awaken to noise in her kitchen. She lives alone.
She knew being famous would mean meeting crazy fans, but not a person breaking into her home!
The poor girl was already jumping into conclusions.
She quickly grabbed her pepper spray and walked slowly to the kitchen, and saw that the persons back was facing towards her.
The mysterious person turns around when they heard footsteps stop. As they do, they get sprayed in the eye with pepper spray.
It turns out it was just you making breakfast for Jenna.
Once Jenna noticed it was you she immediately threw the pepper spray on the ground.
You screamed in agony as you fell on the ground.
âWHAT THE FUCK, JEN!?â
Jenna may had forgot that she gave you the keys to her apartment.
âShit! Iâm so sorry!â
She quickly ran to get you water. As soon as you got the water you poured it on your eyes, hoping that the pain will go away.
Newsflash, it didnât.
It still helped ease the pain though. Jenna kept on apologizing as she sat you down in her bedroom.
âJenna please be quiet, it was an accident itâs fineâ
âNo Y/N that was completely my fault. I totally forgot that I gave you a key to my apartment. Yknow how fans are these days. Can you at least open your eyesâ
âIâll try,â You say as you opened both of your eyes, but not completely. All you saw when you opened your eyes was Jennaâs face close to yours.
Jenna obviously knew what she was doing but has to stay professional because she was the one who caused this.
âJust wait a few minutes. Itâll feel better. Iâm sorry againâ
You nodded, and closed your eyes again as your back laid down on Jennaâs bed.
It had been quiet for a few minutes and Jenna went ahead, and broke it.
âY/N, can I just say something really quick. I know this isnât the time, but youâre already here.â
You sighed and sat up in Jennaâs bed again, you could now open your eyes again without it hurting like hell, âGo ahead and say it, Jen.â
What you didnât prepare for is that Jenna was about to confess her whole entire feelings to you.
The girl took a deep breath in before speaking, and she spoke quickly, âY/N I canât hold back my feelings for you anymore. I had feelings for you for a while, and I mean, a while. I know this isnât the proper time, because I just pepper sprayed you, and your boyfriend broke up with you, but I feel like I wouldnât have an opportunity like this again if I donât say my feelings for you. I love you I really do. I can treat you better than those guys, if you just gave me the chance to do so.
You stared at Jenna with wide eyes, your mouth open in shock and you trying to process all that she said.
This is why she never spoke about her relationship status, this is why she avoided questions about having an crush, this is why.
Itâs all starting to come together now.
You actually did not know what to do in this situation. Your best friend had romantic feelings for you. How could you be this dumb.
But then, Jenna let her inner thoughts win over her, and hesitated before grabbing both sides of your face and pulling you into a kiss.
You were even more stunned when she did that.
You felt her try to deepen the kiss and you instantly pull away.
âIâm sorry, I just canât deal with this today..â
You quickly get off her bed and leave the apartment.
Leaving her disappointed and guilty on why would she do that and say that.
First your boyfriend broke up with you. Second, you get pepper sprayed by your bestfriend, because she thought you were an intruder. Lastly, that bestfriend confessed her feeling for you, and kissed you.
This is a lot to take in

I know Evan's love is toxic. He loves his friends so much that, when they divulge how bad they're feeling - about themselves, about the world around them, about whatever situation they're all stuck in - as opposed to processing these feelings and moving through them to learn and grow, he's like "Nope! Nonstarter, you're amazing and we all love you."
He mentioned it on day one. "There's nothing pleasant in rest." It is a survival tactic. Self-preservation in never staying in one place too long.
But the thing about processing emotions fully is you have to kind of just... sit in it. You need to acknowledge how you feel, understand that dealing with it cannot be avoided or rushed, and take a second to just... stew in it. You can't speedrun every issue in life. And you can't mentslly look at a feeling, point at it, name it, put it to the side, and move on. That's just sweeping the mess under the rug instead of actually cleaning it up.
He's getting close to actually learning how to process emotions, and you can see that when he talks to Sam. But he experienced feeling good all of one time, and decided he never wanted to feel any of his previous sadness ever again. It's an unfortunate trauma response - you tell a person some shit that happened to you and expect them to compartmentalize it just like you did. "Yeah, I got stabbed, but it's fine. Don't worry about it."
It's K's conversation with Tabby about Evan. But, unfortunately, K saw this behaviour in Evan and decided they could fix it for him. But now they realize that that isn't feasible. You can't clean a person's house for them - it's their personal and intimate space and you don't know where everything goes and what's more important to them. Not to mention, it takes away their agency. They dint get to learn how to deal with shit if you just fix it for them.
That's what Evan's doing. Tape shapes aside, he doesn't clean the emotional bullshit, he dumps it all into boxes, throws label on it, and puts it nearly on the pile of a thousand other boxes.
And when Jammer, or Sam, or K gets personal and lets him into their house, well. He wants to be useful. He's looking at the mess, thinks it's a non-issue, throws it in a box for them, and starts a pile. But, they shouldn't worry, he can listen to them describe what the mess is, and he'll put a label on the box for them.
Am I making sense? All of this is dismissive asshole behaviour, but they all know it's well intentioned. They do love each other. The first time he experienced a positive interpersonal interaction, he didn't want to give it up.
Now that they're back, he knows the adventure will come to an end, and that terrifies him. But he's been so task-oriented all his life, any time there's emotions to deal with, he boxes it and puts it aside.
I NEED HIM TO TURN HEEL. IF HE WANTS THE ADVENTURE TO GO ON FOREVER, I'M SURE HE COULD EASILY BECOME THE BAD GUY THEY NEED TO STICK AROUND; TO KEEP THE JOURNEY GOING. BREAK THAT FUCKING WELL, EVAN. NO HESITATION, NO EASING THE WORLD INTO IT - SMASH IT TO BITS ON SIGHT. SUBMIT THE WORLD TO CHAOS.
And what has Sam done every time? She's talked some fucking sense into them. And, well. She's already got a direct line to Evan's most intimate self. They've been in each other's head, they've had their souls entwined with one another. He sees her as the best wizard in the world. What better way to stop Evan from diving head first into the role he's always been afraid of becoming, than making him come to heel and to get his shit together?

Honestly we need to make more GENUINE enemies to lovers Jegulus content
With so so much emphasis on the enemies to the point where it's practically enemies AND lovers
The type where they're so damn evil to each other that you question whether them getting together breaks some sort of moral code but at the same time you can't help but wait for them to angrily kiss.
They're calling each other the most horrific, offensive names and doing everything they can to get a rise out of each other. They're using one another to turn their friends against them. They're getting in physical fights (so much tension there it's sickening) and they're just straight up vile constantly.
They NEVER EVER shut up about how much they hate one another, they'll both search each other out in order to cause some form of damage to either property or the person. Whenever they need to let off some steam they pick a fight because it's become habit. It goes on for years.
When they eventually get together it's with so much resentment. They almost definitely accidentally confess or kiss in the middle of a fight and it only increases the anger on both sides. So now they're both aware that they're into each other but they refuse to step down and say they like each other because 'he's still so infuriating and his ego is too big already, I can't let him think he's hot and worth being around' so they pretend it never happened and keep 'hating' each other. Over the next few weeks they will be literally clinging so desperately to each other like they can't bear to be apart while whispering hatred to each other looking like they want to kill each other. And it isn't that there's a weird coercion thing with a power imbalance, they're both equal, they're just annoying little violent shits.
It only mostly dulls with time. They're 6 years into their relationship planning their wedding while cuddling up in bed and have to pause to insult each other's taste, looks, and personality, fight over literally nothing and bring up times from the past that they managed to get one up on the other, then smile sweetly and have a tiny little gentle kiss before going back to planning. Their petnames consist of 'fuckface' 'foureyes' 'ugly cow' and 'wankstain' and they're used intermittently with 'baby' 'lover' 'babydoll' 'my heart' and ANY other cringe ass name you can think of. Duality. Idk just James potter saying babydoll to the person he just accused of being a lying, money-hungry, ugly, disrespectful whore is so him.
Any normal reasonable stranger would be so worried about how unhealthy and toxic it is but they're just so used to hating each other that it's become a love language. A way to express themselves and reminisce together. They know they love each other but it's just fun to pretend they don't, there are boundaries since they got together but they never really talk about them bc they know what they are and not to cross them.
#you just know they're into loads of weird shit too đ#jegulus#starchaser#sunseeker#regulus black#james potter#marauders era

You ever start shipping two ocs as a joke but then realise halfway through that itâs not a joke anymore?
Because thatâs what happened with my oc Midas and her wife. They r toxic as hell and are married only for tax benefits and regularly kill each other in overly complicated ways because theyâre both immortal and will just keep coming back.
Theyâre waiting for the day the other finally keels over so they can collect that sweet life insurance money.
Until one of them is sealed away for thousands of years and they realise that actually they do care about each other. Theyâre still toxic as hell afterwards, if not more.
Theyâre both terrible people <3
TOXIC YURI EVERYONE GIVE IT UP FOR TOXIC YURI!!!
i love when oc relationships just suck so so so much and yet really deep down they do actually love each other. but also they suck so bad. its such good shit. one million more relationships like this please

What are the consequences to keep in touch with an emotionally unavailable man that tells you that for now he doesnât want anything serious and wants to see you only as a friend and know each others more?
Staying with an emotionally unavailable man who's already told you - "I don't want anything serious" - is signing up to get hurt, over and over again, and calling it love. It's self-destruction masquerading as patience. You're standing in a queue, waiting for a train that never comes. You already know it's not coming, but you tell yourself that maybe the timetable will magically change just for you. Spoiler: it won't. That guy is not a mystery to be solved, or a misunderstood anti-hero in a Netflix drama. He's just someone honest enough to tell you what he can't give, but selfish enough to keep you around anyway. And that's the game. He gets the comfort of your presence, your attention, your hope, without ever having to give anything real in return. It's exploitation on a vibratory level. He's feeding off the space you hold for him, while giving nothing but breadcrumbs. The audacity. The consequences: First, your self-esteem will take a hit. You'll start to equate your worth with his mood swings. If he's responsive and nice? You'll feel high, maybe you're winning him over. But if he pulls away or reminds you of "the rules" (friends only, remember?), you'll spiral. This inconsistency rewires your brain, making you crave the highs so much that you tolerate the lows. You become the one clinging to the possibility even though it's killing you. And he's fine because he's not attached to any of it. He's got his limits, his freedom. And you? You're drowning in his emotional currents. He doesn't want to "get to know you better". That's code for "I like what we've got going, so why mess it up by adding responsibility?" He's keeping you at arm's length, just close enough to keep you invested, but far enough to avoid accountability. He knows. He knows you care more than you should, and he's fine with that imbalance because it works for him. This isn't cluelessness. It's calculated selfishness. People like this thrive because society romanticizes this toxic nonsense. Movies, songs, social media - they all sell the idea that if you love someone hard enough, they'll finally wake up and see their worth. It's a lie. Love doesn't fix people. Your patience won't magically unlock their ability to care. And yet we keep buying into this garbage narrative, thinking we're the exception to the rule. We're not. Staying in this dynamic isn't just bad for you - it's bad for everyone. You're enabling his behaviour. By staying, you're teaching him that it's OK to use people as emotional placeholders. You're telling him that he can get the benefits of intimacy without the responsibilities. He'll keep doing it with you, and then with the next person, and the next. It's a cycle. And every time you make excuses for him, you're not just hurting yourself - you're hurting the world in a kind of existential ripple effect. You're losing pieces of yourself. Your sense of independence, your boundaries, your ability to recognise when you're being abused - it all erodes. You'll become someone who settles for less, someone who settles, someone who thinks they have to earn the love that should have been given to them for free. And for what? For a man who told you in advance that he couldn't give you what you needed? People will tell you to "just walk away" because it's sooooo easy. It's not. Walking away feels like ripping your own heart out. But staying? Staying is like letting them rot from the inside out. Choose your poison. Either way it hurts, but at least there is a way to heal. You deserve to be with someone who doesn't make love feel like a waiting game, someone who doesn't treat your feelings like a convenience store to be visited whenever they feel like it.

Iâm curious what makes you ship Rio/Alice (I also love the ship and glad more people are on board)
Oh, boy. Sorry for the wall of text that's about to hit your eyeballs, anon.
First, the main reason is that I love unexplored dynamics. It's more fun for me to write rarepairs that I have to work to justify or understand, that aren't necessarily scaffolded by popularity or a whole canon romantic storyline. Actually, I tend to avoid writing pairings that a lot of other people write or that feature heavily in canon--kind of a strange feeling of "if you don't have anything new to add, don't say it." (Which, to be clear, is not how one has to approach fandom at all. I genuinely enjoy reading my favorite tropes and premises over and over again! I like seeing ten different people gif the same moment! It's just that I, personally, like the narrative space of rarepairs.)
So for me, Rio and Alice occupy that fascinating grey area of having maybe one and a half canon conversations (super rarepair) but also being such strong characters independently that the threads of behavior and backstory are there to connect if you want. (I want.) To wit:
Rio and Alice are two people (person and entity?) whose natures fundamentally oppose each other--Alice is a very mortal protection witch whose natural instinct is to save, to be good, and Rio is the immortal Death, whose job it is to reap, to take, to be villainized. Put them together, and they'll clash in a fun way--especially since, unlike Agatha, Alice is terrible at running away or deflecting. It has the potential to be really toxic, and it has the potential of coming out the other side to actual growth and understanding. (This is what makes Alice so easy to ship/write for me, by the way--I mean, yeah, she's my blorbo, but also her sincerity and instinctive selflessness offer a great counterpoint to, like, every other character. The others, who are balls of lies and deflection and worse coping mechanisms, clarify when placed next to her.)
They also have interesting similarities: they're both bound by duty. Both forced to accept senseless tragedy. Both grieving. Both, in a way, willing to be truthful.
There are so many entry points into it from canon: Rio following Alice through her life via the curse, Alice seeking Rio (death) at some point in her life (which is not exactly canon but you can argue it by...well, Alice's whole deal pre-episode 4), Rio being jealous of Alice saving Agatha (I wrote that one), and of course Rio reaping Alice. Come on. That cheek touch. Like, we saw someone walking beside Rio into her realm, and it wasn't Agatha.
And, well, there's the Agatha of it all. The way I write Rio, you simply cannot cut Agatha out of it. It adds an extra challenge to figure out how Rio and Alice would have a relationship that would stack up in any way to Rio and Agatha's (and what that would look like). If you do it right, it gives extra meaning to Rio/Alice--it's not the destined love, but it's one they had to choose.
And finally, the two other, very shallow reasons:
I wrote a fic about these two, and I put so much of the stuff I like in there that I played myself and got interested.
Aesthetically, Death and her puppy dog girlfriend in a Hot Topic leather jacket? Fire.

The Nymph and the Sea I
Authors note: Okay so⊠this is my first fanfic for reals reals. Nothing in here is historically accurate, it is just based in greek mythology for funsies and Roman clearly gives off vibes of a powerful entity, so with that said donât take any of this plot as genuine facts. I enjoyed writing it so I hope you enjoy reading it :) ALSO there will be smut but for now Iâm just trying to develop the characters and the plot SO BEAR WITH ME.
Warnings: Minor Character death, animal death, blood, emotional abuse, toxic âmotherâ and daughter relationships. It is Ancient Greece people, there will be weird things going on. If I missed something let me know :p

Pairing: Roman Reigns as Poseidon x Maleina (OC) Love Nymph
Chapter I. The Creation
Maleina, the tender-eyed nymph with the glowing purple gaze, was no ordinary creation. Crafted by the divine hands of Aphrodite, she was destined to carry the power of love, a living embodiment of the arrows shot by what mortals called Cupid. Her origins were as divine as her purpose, woven together one fateful night beneath the moonlit sky over Corinth. Aphrodite had long shared a passionate bond with Dionysus, the god of wine and revelry, and that evening, their union became the subject of much divine entertainment. The gods of Olympus, known for their indulgent voyeurism, watched eagerly as the pair gave themselves over to love and lust in a display that was meant to captivate them all.
Aphrodite, ever the showwoman, was determined to leave an indelible impression, to give her audience something worthy of their gaze. As she and Dionysus reveled in their moment, a new creation was bornâa nymph whose beauty and power would echo through the heavens. The gods, enthralled by the spectacle, knew that Maleina would be no ordinary being.
Her form was an exquisite masterpiece. Apollo, the god of the sun and arts, nearly fell to his knees at the sight of herâso breathtaking was her beauty that he had a statue crafted in her likeness, one so flawless it would become the pinnacle of artistic reverence. Her hair, dark as the midnight sky, cascaded in soft waves, and her lips, full and beguiling, resembled the finest of Dionysusâs wineâsweet, intoxicating, and irresistible. Her skin shone with the glow of the full moon, luminous and ethereal, and her smile revealed teeth so perfect they could only have been sculpted by Poseidon himself, the god of the seas, whose skill in crafting beauty was unmatched. Even Hades, the god of the underworld, known for his usually impassive demeanor, sighed dreamily as she stepped into the room. Maleinaâs presence was magnetic, her beauty transcendent, and the gods, one by one, acknowledged her as Aphroditeâs greatest creation.
And as if to crown her perfection, Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and protector of women, bestowed upon Maleina a final, unforgettable gift: a pair of violet eyesâeyes that held the power to awaken deep love and desire in those who gazed into them. The gods, from Zeus to Hecate, each saw something unique in her, something they had never witnessed before. Her eyes were not merely beautiful; they were a force of nature, a weapon of love itself.
It was the godsâ unanimous decision that Maleina would serve her creatorâs will, tasked with wielding the power of Aphroditeâs arrows, binding mortals to the whims of love. But more than that, she would stand apart from the other nymphs, her allure unmatched, her powers unparalleled. Maleina was not just a messenger of loveâshe was its embodiment, the embodiment of divine passion and desire.
âYouâre the embodiment of love and desire Dear,â Aphrodite said once Maleina was wrapped in soft silk gowns âWith your gift youâll grant us a future of many mortals to come and populate this earth but you should not indulge yourself with them.â
Those were the first words Maleina had ever heard: Bring love to others, but never to yourself. As the years passed, the weight of that command grew heavier. Maleina carried her quiver of arrows with grace, yet the burden they represented was one she felt deeply. Her existence was defined by bringing love and desire into the lives of mortals while denying herself the same. She could witness love in its purest, most fervent forms, but she was forbidden to partake, her duty bordering on punishment.
Maleinaâs first encounter with loveâtrue, unbidden loveâwas one she would never forget. It happened when she was tasked with a simple mission: to strike a mortal boy with her arrow, binding him to his childhood friend. She had seen him by the riverbank, his brown hair catching the golden light, his pearly blue eyes reflecting the waterâs shimmer. He was a warrior, strong and proud, and wholly forbidden.
Curiosity rooted her in place as she watched him strip off his tunic, revealing a sun-kissed body carved by years of labor and training. Though she was a nymph, created from divine hands, she was still a creature of flesh and emotion. A warmth stirred deep within her, a sensation foreign and consuming. Her heart quickened, her body heated as if Hephaestus himself had stoked a flame within her very being.
Maleina hesitated. Her task was clear, her creatorâs command absolute: bind him to another, and leave. But her hand faltered, the arrow never released. She fled, overwhelmed and terrifiedânot just by her feelings but by what Aphroditeâs wrath might bring. Love and chaos were two sides of her makerâs coin, and Maleina dared not challenge her. The consequences for disobedience were severe, and the goddessâs fury was a force even the gods themselves feared.
That night, Maleina returned to the temple in disarray. The image of the warrior haunted her thoughts, his laughter and form etched into her memory. She sat by the fountain, her feet submerged in the cool water, seeking solace in its stillness. Her sister Liv approached, her rosy cheeks tinged with cold and mischief.
âWhatâs spinning in that pretty head of yours?â Liv teased, her tone playful as always. Liv was unlike Maleina in every wayâa vibrant soul full of theatrics and charm, the life of every gathering. She was a favorite at Apolloâs feasts and often found herself entwined in the schemes of Hermesâs sons. Yet, her teasing was tempered by an innate loyalty to her sister.
Maleina hesitated but finally spoke, her voice soft and uncertain. âSomething⊠strange happened to me.â She leaned her head to the side, her gaze fixed on the rippling water. âI think I got too confident in my abilities.â
Liv raised a brow, her grin mischievous. âYou mean you fucked someone?â
âNo, you moron!â Maleina hissed, kicking water at her sister, her face flushing with embarrassment. âBut it crossed my mind.â
Liv laughed, throwing her head back before leaning closer, her expression both amused and serious. âWell, Iâll be damned. The one who canât fall in love⊠fell in love.â
Maleina shot her a sharp glare, placing a finger to her lips. âLiv! Someone might hear you.â
âFine,â Liv said, lowering her voice but frowning deeply. âBut did youâŠ?â she asked again, her meaning clear, sex.
Maleina shook her head. The feeling had consumed her, burned through her in a way she had never experienced. And yet, she had resisted. It felt unfairâno, cruelâto be made a vessel of love and desire yet denied the ability to feel it freely.
Livâs smile faltered as she studied her sisterâs conflicted face. Maleinaâs thoughts were a storm of lust, shame, and longing, a war between duty and the desires she had been forbidden to explore.
How unfair, she thought bitterly, to give love to others and never receive it for herself.
âIâll be fine,â Maleina convinced herself âIt wonât happen again. First thing tomorrow I will be done with it.â
âYou know,â Liv said with a mischievous smirk, her tone dripping with devilish charm, âthe instructions are to never fall in love. It doesnât say entanglement is prohibited.â
Maleina rolled her eyes, the burden of her overthinking clashing with Livâs careless temptations. âThatâs not how it works, Liv,â she replied, though her voice lacked conviction. Her sisterâs words lingered in her mind longer than sheâd care to admit.
The next morning, Maleina found herself once again at the riverbank, her target in sight. The warrior stood near the waterâs edge, cleaning his sword with quiet precision. His soaked tunic clung to his body, every muscle defined by the morning light. Maleinaâs fingers tightened on the golden string of her bow, ready to complete her task.
But then, the rustling of leaves drew her attention. Her sharp eyes caught the movement firstâa lion, stalking through the brush, its hungry gaze fixed on the man. The predator crept closer, its intent clear. Maleinaâs breath hitched. She saw the warrior turn, his body shifting into a defensive stance. He was prepared, but what could a mortal do against an apex predator in its domain? It wasnât a fair fight.
Her body moved before her mind could catch up. The arrow meant for the man flew through the air, striking the lion directly in the eye. The beast roared in pain and collapsed, its death immediate.
The warrior stood frozen, his sword lowered as he stared at the lifeless lion. Confusion clouded his features, and his sharp blue eyes scanned the surrounding trees. âWhoâs there?â he called, his voice steady but wary. âShow yourself.â
Maleinaâs heart raced. She hadnât planned for this. She could have vanished, dissolved back into the safety of the trees, but something held her there. Taking a steadying breath, she stepped out of the shadows.
Her silk gown shimmered as if woven from moonlight, its deep purple hue mirroring the color of her eyes. Golden cuffs adorned her wrists, catching the sunlight, and her presence radiated an ethereal glow. The warriorâs jaw dropped as he took her in.
Surely, he thought, she was no mere woman. The way her beauty defied mortal comprehension, the way her very being seemed to command the air around herâhe was convinced he stood before the goddess of beauty herself.
âWho are you?â he whispered, his voice soft, reverent, as if afraid to shatter the illusion.
Maleinaâs lips parted, but she hesitated. Her mind raced with excuses, with answers, but none seemed to suffice. Instead, she simply stood there, her amethyst gaze meeting his.
âMy nameâs Maleina,â she said, her voice soft and low, like the whisper of a breeze through the trees. The sound ignited a flicker of something unnameable in Marcusâs chest, a heat that spread like wildfire.
âMarcus,â he replied, still unable to tear his gaze from her. It was as if his very soul feared she might vanish if he blinked. âThank you, for, you knowâŠâ He motioned awkwardly toward the lifeless lion, the predator that had moments ago been his death sentence.
âYouâre welcome,â Maleina replied, her tone measured and distant, uncertain of what else to say. Her gaze lingered for a beat longer than necessary before she turned, her movements graceful yet hurried. âWell, see you around,â she added, her words rushed as though she needed to escape.
âHey! Wait!â Marcusâs voice rang out, desperation thick in his tone. He couldnât let her leaveânot yet, not so soon. His feet carried him forward instinctively, heart hammering in his chest as he tried to hold on to the moment.
Maleina stopped but didnât turn immediately. Her shoulders stiffened as the weight of her actions replayed in her mind. She had already gone too far, broken unspoken rules she had followed since her creation. This was bad, worse than sheâd anticipated. She needed to leave and never look back.
Still, she turned, her face unreadable, though her violet eyes betrayed the storm of emotions swirling within.
âA-Are you from around here?â Marcus asked, his voice unsteady yet earnest. For the first time in his life, he felt like a boy againânervous, uncertain, with his heart thundering in his chest.
Maleina hesitated. She could feel the pull, the dangerous thread tying her to this moment. âNo,â she finally said, the word clipped but soft. Her mind screamed at her to disappear, to let the forest swallow her whole before things spiraled further out of control.
But she didnât.
Instead, she let herself linger just a moment longer, watching Marcus as he stood there, looking at her as if she were the most extraordinary thing he had ever seen. And perhaps, in that fleeting moment, she allowed herself to feel extraordinary, too.
And so, the man Maleina once observed from behind the trees became her secret companionâa bond forged in stolen moments and hidden from the eyes of gods and mortals alike. Marcus, the warrior with a chiseled body and a heart softer than heâd admit, became her solace. He was a man of gentle humor and fierce loyalty, his strength honed not for glory but for survival. Every coin he earned went to care for his mother and younger sister, who lived by the coast of Argos.
Through him, Maleina came to know pieces of his world. She learned of Aria, the woman who had once been his promised wife, whose destiny Maleina had quietly shifted with her bow. Instead of binding Marcus and Aria together, the nymph had paired her with an older artisan from the village, a match that had blossomed into a quiet, happy life. Yet, the knowledge weighed heavy on Maleinaâs shoulders. She had altered Marcusâs path, stolen his future in the name of her own selfish desires.
Still, guilt melted away each time they met by the small temple near the riverbankâtheir hidden haven. It was a place untouched by time, where the only witnesses to their stolen moments were the whispering trees and the murmuring water.
Marcus never questioned her origins. He didnât need to. To him, she was Maleina, the mysterious daughter of a wealthy merchant, a woman of ethereal beauty and elusive grace who allowed him to share her time. She never corrected his assumptions. It was safer that wayâfor both of them.
But as the months passed, and their connection deepened, Maleina found herself tethered to him in a way that frightened her. Each smile, each lingering touch, each stolen glance was a defiance of her purpose, a rebellion against the rules set by her maker. She knew Aphroditeâs wrath was as swift as it was merciless.
Yet, she couldnât stop.
In Marcusâs company, Maleina felt something she had never knownâa sense of belonging, a warmth that seeped into her very being. He looked at her not as a creation of divine perfection, but as a woman. And for the first time, she allowed herself to believe she was one.
Everything crumbled like a fragile sandcastle swept by a tidal wave. Nia, daughter of Thalassa and one of Poseidonâs loyal creations, had stumbled upon a tragedy at seaâa sight so harrowing it sent ripples of fury through the realms. Aria, a devoted wife and mother, lay lifeless along with her children, their bodies adrift on the salt-laden waves. The crime was heinous, committed by none other than Ariaâs husband, whose heart Maleinaâs arrow had forcefully turned. A bond meant to bloom with love had ended in bloodshed, a perversion of destiny itself.
This unnatural tragedy ignited chaos in the underworld, shaking its dark foundations and compelling Hades himself to rise from his shadowed throne. His demands for answers echoed through Olympus until they reached Poseidonâs halls. The Sea God, his rage like a brewing storm, dispatched Nia to uncover the source of this upheaval. Her investigation led her to a secluded riverbank where she found the culprit: Maleina, cradled in the arms of Marcus, her forbidden mortal lover.
It was in that moment that the truth struck Maleina with unbearable clarity. This tragedy was her doing, her defiance of her sacred duty unraveling the delicate threads of fate. The illusion she had so recklessly spun was now collapsing around her, its remnants sharp enough to wound not just her heart, but the very order of the divine.
The wrath of Aphrodite was swift and merciless. Her arrival was a storm of beauty and fury, her golden form shimmering with a light so intense it demanded reverence and fear. Her voice, a venomous blend of rage and disappointment, cut through Maleinaâs trembling defenses.
âCanât you see what youâve done?â Aphroditeâs words dripped with accusation, her gaze like a dagger aimed at the nymphâs soul. âYouâve disrupted natureâs sacred order. And in Poseidonâs domain, of all places.â
Maleina stood frozen, the weight of her actions crushing her spirit. Her voice, when it came, was small and broken. âI just wanted to know what it feels likeâŠâ
Aphroditeâs eyes narrowed, her divine temper teetering on the edge of a violent eruption. She stepped closer, her presence a suffocating reminder of Maleinaâs failure. âTo feel what, Maleina?â
The nymphâs violet eyes shimmered with unshed tears. Her answer was a whisper, fragile yet heavy with the longing that had driven her to defy the gods. âLove.â
The single word hung in the air, a confession that burned through the tension like a stray ember on dry parchment. Maleinaâs heart shattered further as she realized that, in her quest to feel love, she had sown only destruction. The silence that followed was unbearable, filled with the unspoken weight of her punishment yet to come.
Aphrodite turned her back on Maleina, her movements elegant yet unnervingly cold as she walked to her gilded throne. The air in the chamber shifted, heavy and foreboding, as if the walls themselves were holding their breath. With a simple snap of her fingers, two guards entered the room, dragging a limp and bloodied figure between them.
Maleina's heart dropped, her knees buckling as she recognized him.
"Marcus!" she cried, rushing forward, only to be stopped mid-step by an invisible force. Aphrodite's power pinned her in place, her outstretched hands trembling as she watched the guards drop Marcus to the floor. His body crumpled, legs dragging uselessly, his face battered and bruised beyond recognition. Blood trailed from his lips, his once-bright blue eyes barely open.
"No, no, no, please!" Maleina begged, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Don't hurt him! This isn't his fault!"
Aphrodite turned slowly, her expression devoid of sympathy. "Do you think the gods care about fault, child?" Her voice was sharp, laced with venom. "This was not my choice, but the balance must be restored. I follow orders as you should have."
Maleina fought against the unseen force, desperate to reach Marcus. "I'll fix it! I'll do anything! Please, just let him go!"
Aphrodite's gaze hardened. "You already had your chance. You chose defiance, and now you will learn the cost of disobedience."
At her signal, the guard nearest to Marcus unsheathed a blade, its edge glinting cruelly in the dim light. Maleina's screams pierced the chamber as she fought with every ounce of her strength, but she couldn't move.
"No! Stop!" she cried, her voice breaking. "Please, I love him!"
The words hung in the air like a fragile confession, but they did nothing to soften the goddess's resolve. The blade descended, sinking into Marcus's chest with brutal finality.
The sound of steel meeting flesh seemed to echo endlessly. Maleina's body froze, her mind unable to comprehend the sight of Marcus's blood spilling onto the floor, pooling beneath him. Time slowed as the guard stepped back, leaving the mortal slumped over, his life draining away.
With a snap, Aphrodite released her hold, and Maleina collapsed to the floor beside Marcus. She gathered his broken body in her arms, cradling him as though her touch could keep him tethered to the world.
"Marcus," she whispered, her voice trembling. "Stay with me, please. Don't leave me."
His eyes fluttered open briefly, the light in them dim but still holding her gaze.
"Maleina..." he rasped, his voice barely audible. "I would... do it all again... for you."
Her tears fell freely, mixing with the blood staining his chest. "I'm sorry," she choked out, pressing her forehead to his. "I'm so sorry."
A faint smile tugged at his lips, and then he was gone. His body stilled, the warmth fading from his skin. Maleina clung to him, her sobs racking her body as her world shattered around her.
Aphrodite watched in silence, her expression as cold and unyielding as marble.
When she spoke, her words cut like a blade. "This is the price of your selfishness. Love is not yours to claim, Maleina. It is yours to give, nothing more."
Maleina's grip on Marcus's lifeless form tightened as Aphrodite motioned for the guards. They seized the nymph, pulling her away despite her cries and thrashing.
Her lover's blood stained her hands and gown, a haunting reminder of what she had lost.
The once vibrant and flourishing world of Corinth slowly decayed, the land withered beneath the weight of Maleinaâs sorrow. The nymph, the embodiment of love, now imprisoned in her temple by Aphrodite, could no longer summon the power that once made hearts dance with desire. Her soul mourned the loss of Marcus, the mortal whose love she had so fiercely longed to taste, but now, that love was nothing but ashes in the wind.
Years passed in her isolation, a never-ending cycle of grief and longing. The temple walls, once radiant with the energy of her presence, now stood dark and cold, mirroring the void inside her heart. The nymph could no longer perform the duties she was created for, her once-bright purple eyes dull with the weight of despair. Aphrodite, though unforgiving, had left her with one instruction: to heal.
But how could a nymph of love heal when love had been taken from her so cruelly?
Meanwhile, on the shores of Corinth, the consequences of her actions were felt by mortals and gods alike. Without Maleinaâs arrows to ignite the fires of passion, the world fell into chaos. Wars erupted over power, hearts grew cold, and the once harmonious relationships between gods and mortals began to fray. Even Poseidon, ruler of the seas, felt the shiftâa disturbance in the natural order of things. His domain, once teeming with life and love, now felt eerily empty.
The land that once thrived on the affection and desires of its people now stood as a barren wasteland, much like Maleinaâs heartâsilent, aching, and devoid of the very essence that kept it alive.
Aphrodite watched from her celestial throne, a quiet anger brewing within her. She had created Maleina to be the ultimate agent of love, but the nymph had betrayed that creation by indulging in emotions she was not meant to experience. Yet, the goddess of love knew that even the gods were not immune to the consequences of loveâdestruction and creation alike.
The goddess of love and war leaned back in her golden throne, her expression unreadable, as the towering figure of Poseidon entered the temple. His presence was commanding, the air thickening around him as though the very sea followed in his wake. His long, dark hair cascaded like a storm, and his eyesâdeep, cold, and endless as the oceanâlocked onto hers without hesitation.
The goddess of love had never been one to be shaken, yet she could feel the weight of his arrival, the immense power he exuded.
âRoman,â she said, her voice cool, though the surprise in it was undeniable. âWhat brings you here?â
Poseidonâs gaze remained impassive, his tone as harsh as a crashing wave. âA proposition,â he said, his deep voice cutting through the silence like a blade.
Aphroditeâs brow arched. âA proposition?â She tilted her head slightly, studying him. Poseidon was a god of the sea, not one to venture far from his domain, and certainly not to the temple of love. His motives were always shrouded in mystery. But today, there was no mirth or intrigue in his eyes, only cold purpose.
He took a single step forward, his tall, broad form filling the space. âThe world is drowning in chaos, Aphrodite. The mortal realm is devoid of balance. And your precious creationâMaleinaâhas strayed too far. Her weakness has infected the world.â
Aphroditeâs eyes narrowed, though she kept her composure. âYou speak as if you know what love is. What do you understand of it, Poseidon?â
Poseidonâs eyes flickered with a glint of something fierceâsomething dangerous, like the deep sea itself. âLove is a force of nature, like the tides. It cannot be controlled, only guided. You have let it run wild, and now the storm youâve created threatens everything.â
Aphroditeâs lips curled into a thin smile, though there was no amusement in it. âSo youâve come to fix it? Do you think you can restore what I have built?â Her gaze flickered to Maleinaâs shadowed figure in the distance, a silent reminder of the chaos that had ensued.
Poseidonâs voice grew colder, his eyes unwavering. âI donât intend to restore what youâve built. I intend to erase it. Maleina must return to her original purposeâno more distractions, no more false desires. She will remember who she is. Her love must not be wasted.â
Aphroditeâs breath caught, but she did not flinch. âAnd what makes you think you can accomplish this?â
âI will take her to my domain,â Poseidon said, his voice devoid of warmth. âI will cleanse her of your influence, restore balance, and let the tides of love once again flood the world. In return, I ask for one thing: permission to wield your power where it has been lost, to guide the broken hearts of mortals back to their true course.â
Aphrodite considered his words, her heart betraying her only for a moment. Poseidon was not here for power or gain; he was here to set things right, in his own ruthless way. He was a god of the sea, and he understood the balance of nature as no one else could.
âVery well,â she said, her voice as cold as the marble beneath her. âBut know this, Poseidon: Maleina is no ordinary nymph. She was made for love, but love can break as easily as it can heal. You may find her more dangerous than you realize.â
Poseidon did not flinch. âI am not afraid of what I must do,â he said, his voice firm, unwavering. âYou created her to guide love, Aphrodite. I will make her remember her true purpose, even if it means destroying the illusions she clings to.â
Aphroditeâs eyes lingered on him for a moment longer, her thoughts swirling. She had never seen Poseidon so determined, so utterly cold in his conviction. But in that moment, she realized that he was the only one who could undo the mess she had created.
âGo then,â Aphrodite said, her tone final. âBut if you fail, it will be on your head.â
Poseidonâs lips barely twitched in acknowledgment, âI do not fail,â he said, turning away from her, his form already shifting toward the exit.
âPrepare yourself, Aphrodite. The tides are changing.â
And with that, the god of the sea left the temple, his presence like a distant thunderstorm on the horizon. Poseidon was not a god who dealt in mercy or second chances, but perhaps, just perhaps, he was the only one who could right the wrongs of the love she had forged.
As the doors closed behind him, Aphroditeâs gaze turned to where Maleina's last moments wereâstill broken, still lost in the chaos she had createdâand she wondered what would become of the nymph now that Poseidon had entered the picture.

Very Personal Take on Good Omens
I've always related more to Crowley. It has always been easier for me to understand them than Aziraphale, especially in s1. Don't get me wrong, I've adored Aziraphale since day one too, I just think that, personality wise, we have less traits in common.
However, since the end of s2, I've been able to really feel for Aziraphale and immediately found myself defending them and their final decision. I won't lie and tell you that, at the beginning, I didn't feel angry and even a little betrayed at all, but once I cooled down and thought about it with a clear mind I got it. And, later, I also got the reason why I was feeling so defensive about Aziraphale.
Last year I broke up with my partner, with whom I also had a lot of mutual friends. I was the one to call it off and I did it because there were some dynamics I couldn't tolerate anymore, but I still loved them and I suffered a lot (still do sometimes). Still, I knew it was the right thing to do for the both of us and I never regretted it.
The thing is, the friends we had in common never really bothered to check up on me: I was the one to call it off and I was the one who'd always appeared emotionally stronger, so why would I be suffering? However, they comforted my ex multiple times, sometimes right after I'd gone home, because they just burst into tears in front of everyone. Obviously, I was very sad and cried a lot too, I just avoided doing it in front of our mutual friends to avoid creating sides (when we broke up we promised this to each other).
Connecting all of this to Good Omens, I believe that something like that is happening in the fandom too. A lot of people are hyper focusing on Crowley's pain because it's more obvious and understandable to them, while they're painting Aziraphale as the "bad one" who broke their heart and doesn't care about them just because they were the one who made the difficult decision. And, while I understand it's easier to see it that way, I also think it's not actually that hard to dig a little deeper.
Just because someone's pain is more evident doesn't mean they were the only one to get hurt and didn't hurt back too. Crowley hurt Aziraphale too, even if we might not see it immediately or as clearly as the other way around. They're both suffering, there is no right and wrong side, they both made mistakes and, nonetheless, it's no doubt they love each other and deserve a happy ending.
I hope this makes sense. It's a very emotionally charged analysis so, even if you don't agree, be polite about it please. I know I didn't get too much into what happened in the final 15, but I've already made (and I'll make) other specific posts about it. This one was more of an emotional take.
I'd also like to underline that none of this is a contest about who's hurting more. It's an invitation not to take for granted other people's feelings but actually try and understand both sides of a situation, even if we naturally relate to or understand one more than the other. (Of course, this doesn't apply to toxic relationships).

I personally love LiuShen more than BingQiu, but it isnât necessarily due to a dislike of Binghe. I do enjoy their đŻđ»đźđȘđŽ for đŻđ»đźđȘđŽ relationship and Bingheâs general obsessiveness and âyandere-ishâ qualitiesâcoming from the BSD fandom, Iâm generally well adjusted to ships with weird or somewhat unrealistic (or dare I say fictionally toxic) dynamics. (Unrelated shoutout to SSKK and FyoLai specifically)
I donât really see BingQiu is inherently toxic, but I do agree with OP that Luo Bingheâs character developement had a lot of untapped potential. I do want to cut MXTX some slack in this department since SVSSS was her first series.
Maybe Iâm a little biased because Liu Qingge is personally my favorite character, but I find that the dynamic for LiuShen is super cute and also funny. And, there is also SO MUCH angst potential. I do also prefer LiuShen over LiuJiu as well.
I do want to note, though, that I love all of the Shen Qingqiu (Shen Yuan) ships and I also love how open the fandom is with shipping him with almost the entire cast LOL. As an avid multishipper I always have a great time.
And depending on how you play your cards, there are so many different fonts for LiuShen to exist within. Oblivious LQG? It works. Oblivious SQQ? Biblically accurate. Both of them are in love and oblivious? Yeah, I can see it. LQG being aware of his feelings but is just REALLY BAD AT FLIRTING? Fucking hilarious. LQG pining over SQQ but the author makes BingQiu the main pairing? IâLL JUST WEEP BLOOD, THANKS. (Iâm still gonna eat it up) SQQ being aware of his feelings [RARE] and LQG is really SHY AND DOESNâT KNOW WHAT TO DO? Cute and also really funny.
I just love them so much and I think they have the ability to be cute and soft with each other THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK (which is mostly just me yapping to the void
BINGQIU VS LIUSHEN/ANY OTHER SHIP WITH SQQ PART 1
BEWARE I HAVENT READ SVSSS IN A WHILE AND I MIGHTâVE MISSED SOME STUFF! Feel free to correct and give your opinions about this.
Theres gonna be two parts to this bc tumblr canât take all my writing sooooo đ
In the SVSSS fandom, Iâve noticed that compared to other mxtxâs novels, the mc gets shipped with half of the cast more often and is more widely accepted in the fandom compared to the tgcf and mdzs fandoms (if you ship Hualian or Wangxian with anyone, it will get you death threats, istg đ). However, with Shen Qingqiu, while of course he gets shipped with his love interests, another really popular one is him with Liu Qingge and many other characters in the novel. I do think this also has to do with the fact that the fandom is more chill than the other two fandoms. Shen Qingqiu in general is just VERY shippable. But why? Why do some people like liushen more than bingqiu? Obviously, I know this is simply a preference, but why do people prefer it more than the canon couple? Well, I have some speculations. First, while I love Bingqiu, I can admit that their relationship is not for everyone; even for me, theyâre my least favorite main couple of the three (it's just my opinion, DONT ATTACK MEđ) because their dynamic can be seen as somewhat toxic. Luo Binghe is very obsessive and kind of yandare like in the novel, and yes, he does have character development and regrets his actions and never really wanted to hurt Shen Qingqiu. I personally donât feel like we see as much of this development until the very end. At least for me, I feel like we shouldâve spent more time with a changed Luo Binghe, and I KNOW he was influenced by Xi Mo. I still didnât feel completely satisfied with the Luo Binghe arc. I do think we see more of his development in the extras, which is what made me like Bingqiu a lot more, but I just wish we couldâve seen this in the main story instead of optional extras because I think the extras really show Luo Bingheâs growth and his love for Shen Qingqiu in a healthier way. I am aware this boy is very mentally ill. While Iâm not a writer, as a reader, I think mxtx couldâve done more for him because he can end up more dislikable for some people and just less appealing of a love interest. I personally LOVE Luo Binghe and how chaotic he is, but again, that is not for everyone, so I can definitely see why some people donât like him as much. With Shen Qingqiu, this is a bit different. I felt that by the end of the novel he had massive progress and huge development for his character; even if he still has his flaws, you can really tell he has changed and grown throughout the story, but heâs still himself if that makes sense. I felt wayyy more satisfied with his arc than Luo Binghe's; however, I will say that Shen Qingqiu has this sort of shame. While I wouldnât necessarily call it internalized homophobia, he does have this sort of stigma towards gay people and him being gay himself. And while it can be funny, if you really think about it, even by the end of the novel and in the extras he still has this shame of sleeping with Binghe and showing basic affection, but I wonât really criticize this much because he does improve in this a lot by the extras. By that point, it really feels more like shyness than the shame he felt at the beginning when he first discovered Luo Binghe's feelings. So I will argue that Shen Qingqiu arc is pretty well done and concluded by the end of the book; at least to me, it really did feel like he changed. Okay, so the second reason is because Bingqiu got together when they were both still ânot at their bestâ. What do I mean by this? Well in tgcf Xie lian had to endure a lot of torture and experience several traumatic situations and almost released face disease and killed a bunch of people with it. He was clearly very mentally unwell! And for Hua Cheng, he also went through a lot of trauma with his mom dying when he was young and the abuse he went through from his father and the kids who made fun of him to the point where he wanted to end his life, and then later he became a ghost with his parasocial attachment to a god. We see these characters at their worst, but when they get together, they are already 800+ years old and have lived a long life and matured and learned from their experiences.

In Padme's defense: all of The Phantom Menace. She remembers sweet Ani who risked his life to help strangers and didn't even ASK her (her! Aqueen!) to help him in return.
So like, I do get her ignoring some red flags with "I know he's a good person deep down who just had a bad day" because her first impression was "person with no power risks everything to save a planet he has no connections to."
It wasn't smart to ignore the red flags, but I do sort of understand it.
Oh no see the red flags are a part of the reason she likes him. you gotta think, Padmé's pretty much NEVER done anything for herself. like EVER. she was helping refugees as a small child, entered the government or smthn age 9, and BECAME QUEEN AT 14. she then went STRAIGHT into being senator and continuing to put serving her people above all else she literally never has a moment for herself
and then anakin shows up like hi i'm in love with you i think you're amazing (not queen or senator amidala -- he thinks PADME is amazing) and she KNOWS it'd be insane to be with him. she KNOWS its a stupid risk and she shouldn't but thats literally the appeal!! she wants to do something selfish!! for her!!!! like sure yeah he cares abt ppl a lot whatever. but the red flags are an essential part of anidala. he's insane but so is she
#she's not ignoring the red flags she's running at them like a crazed bull#AND I SUPPORT HER SO MUCH I WOULD DO THE SAME IN HER POSITION. LIKE HAVE U SEEN ANAKIN#yes he's emotionally unstable and obsessed w her but she wants that ok#there's no point trying to justify anidala from a rational pov bc they were not thinking rationally#they are so toxic and i love them so much and they love each other so much#thanks for the ask!#anidala

I ship every ship in this fandom, but when I ship Loumand, it is from such a place of self-indulgent misery. Louis punishing himself, Armand settling for whoever he can manipulate into having him (because he has negative self worth) and each of them trying to convince the other that theyâre what the other deserves and that they, themselves, deserve this and⊠it can be *so* delicious and fraught and fucked up.
Yum.

I need people to realize how horrible 'stalking/constant surveillance/breaking into each other's homes is how the Batfamily show love' is. Like i really need someone to just acknowledge how horrific saying this bullshit is.
Like even fics where they're shown as happy and healthy and with good ties, you've always got this thing where none of them have privacy or any boundaries with each other. Which is directly antithetical to actually having good relationships. And this invasion via hacking and stalking and breaking into homes is portrayed as a positive, good thing; it's just how they show love and care to each other, after all. But for some reason I just personally don't find stalking, lack of privacy or boundaries, and emotional manipulation funny, endearing, or healthy, and just end up disgusted at the attempt to sweep it all under the rug.
#my dc posting#dc#batman#batfamily#jason todd#barbara gordon#bruce wayne#dick grayson#tim drake#damian wayne#listen i can only take so much of it before i just breakdown okay#apparently controversial opinion but a family where its normal to vreak into each others homes and manipulate each other and stalk and#invade boundaries and autonomy and privacy can NOT be healthy#no matter how much you try to dress it up all cute w 'this is just how they are' 'its how they show their love' its never not gonna be#unhealthy and bad and toxic#like yeah they do do that. they are like that. either acknowledge it or stop trying to justify it#god this actually irks me so much#i try to idk. suspend my disblief but theres only so much i can actuallt fucking take before just#its just. im trying to read happy fluffy fics. but i cant be comforted by a family that normalizes breaking boundaries n invading privacy#and its specifically that the author aleays disregards it. instead of fixing it or making it better they opt to keep it and come up w excuse#s for it#and thats what actually triggers me#'i broke into ur house cus if i asked if i could come over ud say no' is actuallt fucking horrifying stop trying to make it seem loving???#im writing this while having a panic attack dont mind me đ#but its like. if you can write the batfam w/o bruce hitting his kids or any other horrific thing that they do#then why must you keep the boundary&privacy breaking? why cant anyone even seemingly try to write a batfam#where theyve worked their issues abt this out best they can n have healthy established boundaries w each other??#like if u can write them all hanging out together 24/7 n bruce being s good dad why is this one simple thing the One Thing#nobody even tries to address properly???#'aw dick broke into jason's saehouse bc he wanted to hangout but jason would say no if he asked' aw. maybe dick should learn 'no means no'

constantly thinking about vex and percy giving each other a life neither of them could've dreamed of or ever thought they deserved or might realistically have. how they saved each other from themselves and their respective self-hating tendencies. how they can only trust each other with certain things because they know the other can handle it. how they're the perfect team. how they communicate so effectively and clearly. absolutely no one is doing it like them
#I am skjdfkdjskf about them all the time#I will never ever stop loving them#critical role#cr1#perc'ahlia#percy x vex#vex x percy#vex'ahlia#percival de rolo#percy de rolo#vex'ahlia de rolo#also like. don't get me wrong I love a tragic messy toxic ship just as much as one like this#but perc'ahlia is just as interesting as a fucked up ship because THEY are fucked up individuals#and they SUPPORT each other through figuring out how to be less fucked up#not even in a 'I can fix him/her' way but in a like. she needs some extra love right now way#or he needs some extra comfort right now. she needs some extra space right now#and they just give it to each other willingly#it's so sweet
