Omg a fellow stay am so happy I came across your blog. Got even happier that you write for solo leveling and even Suho!(my scrunkly poo😋) I have some couple of friends who really like him along with me(I'll definitely recommend your blog to them for more of him from you). If you could please write a one shot of him here's the plot;the reader is an apostle that ran away from the Itarim and along the way got amnesia (idk how they would get it my brain is fried already bit you can think of anything)and lived as a normal human in the mortal world and met Suho in the art university and got along very well to the point he started harboring romantic feelings for them. And the reader being emotionally constipated (lmao) was pretty dense to how he felt (Love me some desperate and in love puppy Suho)time skip to him awakening and stuff and how he and the reader started going to dungeons and met Esil, the gang would slowly learn that the reader is from the Itarim despite themselves not knowing that they are one.But Suho wasn't bothered or worried since he loved them all the same and were unharmful and kind. Although the reader would have some inner struggle with their past identity or what they might have possibly done and spirals down some sort of breakdown. But Suho comes in to reassure them that he still saw them as someone he'd be besides for his entire life.so like some tiny angst from reader but Suho makes it all better :3

Oml am rambling I just have a big hyperfixation on him specifically😭. But I hope this helps with you writing the plot. Summary: You had forgotten everything. What and who you were before waking up in a world of mortals and hunters. Not a single recollection of your past life could be remembered. So, you figured you would start anew. Now, a college student studying art when you happen to meet Sung Suho. Soon, you both are the best of friends, but Suho now has a problem. He really really likes you and doesn’t know how to tell you. During his little crisis of feelings, you are struggling to figure out who you really are as bits and pieces of your former life come filtering back.

Thank you so much for the request! Hello to you too my fellow stay!! I had so much fun writing this one-shot and I hope that more come for Suho. I do apologize if there are a few things missing, I’m not quite caught up with Solo Leveling Ragnarok so pardon any errors or mistakes.

Your head smacked against the table as the teacher finished assigning the final project. Suho looked over at you with a raised eyebrow. “Are you doing ok there?” He asked, watching you lift your head up and take a piece of paper. You picked up your pencil before looking at Suho. “Why is it that the teacher thought it was the best idea to give us such a huge project but not enough time?” You asked, watching Suho grin widely. “I don’t know but being able to draw whatever I want makes up for it. I actually started a painting of my parents and hope to use that as my final project.” He said, his eyes looking down at the table. You knew the story. He had told you about them when you two became the best of friends. 

You reached across the table and took his now trembling hand in yours. He looked up at you, his eyes had unshed tears filling them. “You will find your parents. I know you will. And I will be there next to you, helping you.” You said, a soft smile on your face. Suho could feel his heart pounding in his chest. Looking at you, Suho smiled. “And I will help you regain your memories again.” He said, tightening his hold on your hand slightly. The rest of the period consisted of you and Suho hunched over your papers as you both began sketching out the drawings designs. Suho was thorough in capturing what his parents looked like. He still remembered their faces when he was about 15 years old. 

He remembered the way his father would smile at him and congratulate him on his achievements. How his mother would pull him into a hug and tell him how proud she was of him. His hand stopped moving across the paper, he could feel his thoughts starting to spiral, his heart pounding so fast in his chest as worst case scenarios filled his mind. ‘What if they were murdered when he wasn’t there?’ Shaking his head, he glared at the paper. ‘That wouldn’t happen. Father was strong, same with mother. Dad was even a homicide detective so how could he have died?’ Suho shook his head not wanting to think about that anymore. 

He turned back to the paper and felt his heart clench. He had been drawing the entire time he was lost in thought. His parents stared back at him from the paper, their smiles were soft and gentle, and their eyes seemed to hold the universe in them. You looked up from your drawing when you couldn’t hear Suho’s pencil anymore and found him staring at his paper, a gentle smile sitting on his lips. You tilted your head, but saw the picture that Suho drew. Your heart warmed at the sight. ‘He really misses his parents.’ You thought, watching Suho faintly trace his mother and father’s face with his finger.

After class ended, You and Suho walked to your lockers to grab your bags and head home. Suho’s aunt had so graciously allowed you to stay with them til you could get on your feet. As you and Suho entered his aunt’s house, you bowed to her and her husband before slipping off your shoes and slipping on slippers. The rest of the day consisted of you and Suho putting the final touches to your sketches. “Wow Y/n. That art is spectacular.” Suho’s aunt said, leaning over to look at the art. You smiled rubbing the back of your neck. As you opened your mouth to say thank you, a sharp pain filled your head. You clenched your head and clenched your eyes shut. 

Suho jumped from his chair running to the kitchen to grab a cold washcloth. Returning, he made you sit back against the chair with your head tilted back. He placed the cloth on your forehead and you immediately melted as the cold seeped into your skin. You groaned as the pain immediately vanished. “Suho, what happened?” his aunt asked, turning to her nephew. “Y/n gets terrible headaches that just appear out of nowhere. The only thing that happens to help is a very cold wash cloth.” Suho said, moving closer to your side and flipping the cloth over to the other side.

A few days passed but the headache seemed to get worse. You were constantly in pain, but one thing that stuck out was the fact it showed a bright white room, pillars everywhere and angel like creatures that stood towers above the humans. You gripped your head as you screamed, Suho sitting next to you when an episode happened, tried shaking you gently, the cold washcloth lying on the coffee table forgotten. You gripped Suho’s arm with strength he didn’t know you could muster up. “What the hell am I Suho?” You said, your eyes flashing a different color as your body doubled over. Slowly and over time, your memories began to return. People could see the changes and began to grow hostile. Hating everything about you. Suho, however, stayed by your side. He snapped and yelled at those that would hurt you. 

Currently, you were laying on Suho’s lap, eyes closed and trying to at least get some rest. Suho was positively shaking. During the time he had been by your side, he started developing feelings for you. He didn’t care if you were to be his enemy. Days passed with Suho following you everywhere you went. You had begged him not to leave you as you were terrified. You didn’t know who or what you were and having everyone hate you didn’t make you feel any better. When you finally came to terms with what was happening, Suho had been working to awaken his own powers that he harbored. When Suho’s friends had met you they didn’t like you. They even admitted to hate the idea of being friends with you because of what you are.

{Months Later}

Suho had done everything to get you out of your apartment, but nothing was working all that well. Suho’s heart was starting to break as he listened to your sobs from outside the door. A few days finally passed before he had enough. He took the spare key that you had given to him and unlocked the front door. Suho knew right then and there he didn’t want to feel that heart wrenching pain ever again. You were laying on the floor, tears streaming down your face. Other than himself, Esil was the only other person that cared about you and made sure you had company when needed. 

Suho knelt down in front of your face, waiting for you to even look up at him. “Suho, you should leave me. I’m a monster. To think I was someone that belonged to the enemy side.” A fresh wave of tears fell down your face. Suho could feel his heart breaking the more he watched you. “Y/n, I don’t care who you are or what you are. You have always been a sweet, and caring person.” Suho said, dropping so he was laying on his side facing towards you, his hand taking your hand in his and pressing it to his heart. Your eyes widened but you didn’t remove your hand. The feeling of his heartbeat against your hand made your already racing heart to slow down. You had longed for a way to figure out who you were but at the same time, you didn’t want to leave Suho and the others. You didn’t want to go back to your old life. There was a reason that you had forgotten about it, possibly even ran away from your old life.

“Please don’t shut me out anymore.” Suho whispered. You slowly moved closer to him, tucking your head into his chest and closing your eyes. Suho's face burned a bright red but his arms wrapped around your slightly trembling body. You tucked yourself closer to him and his arms seemed to tighten. Then, your body stilled. Your breathing halted and your eyes didn’t open. Suho gently shook your body but you didn’t move. He pressed his ear to your heart but his eyes widened and his heart sank to the pit of his stomach. You had died in his arms. He was the last person you saw before your body gave up. Suho held you in his arms as he cried into your shoulder, begging you to come back to him. 

Opening your eyes, you stood before the massive gods. Their eyes on you. You knew what they wanted. They wanted a report. They wanted you to tell them the weaknesses of humankind. To tell them a way of killing everyone in the world. You looked at them directly, not bowing, or calling them by their titles. But instead, you warned them. You warned them that if they tried to hurt that world, they would lose everything they held dear. Possibly, even their lives. Of course, these gods laughed at your warming. Laughing at the mear idea of humans being able to attack or possibly kill them. Opening your mouth to counter, you felt a hand on your shoulder. 

Turning to the side, you were met with none other than Suho’s father, Sung Jin Woo, the current Shadow Monarch. Your eyes widened as you met him, the immediate need to bow to him was nearly choking you. You made the move to kneel and bow, but Sung Jin Woo shook his head, a smile on his face. “Please return to my son. He needs you right now. I can take care of this.” He said, shoving his hands in his long coat pockets, a smile on his face. You watched as his calm demeanor changed as his eyes began to glow a dark purple. That same purple surrounded his body. “Arise.”  

Legions of shadows appeared all around you. You looked at Sung Jin Woo, who had his eyes glued on the gods before him, but a simple nod of his head and the shadows rushed forward. Your eyes widened as you watched the Shadow Monarch for a simple moment before you were forced from the platform and floating away from the battle that rocked the darkness of space. Your heart raced as you watched the battle. Suho’s father was strong, but he was also so gentle when talking about his son. “Go back to my son Y/n. He needs you.” Sung Jin Woo’s voice filled your head once again. Almost immediately, Suho filled your thoughts. The looks he would give you when you were not looking. The soft smiles he would only give to you. Even the fear that appeared on his face when you shut yourself away. You closed your eyes, willing yourself to return to your body.

Slowly, you opened your eyes, the sound of sirens and sniffling could be heard. You blinked before slowly sitting up. The paramedic that was working to help you gasped when you sat up. He started taking your vitals and found it weird that your vitals looked completely normal. Packing his things up, he made sure that you were really ok before standing up and leaving. Placing your hand on your head, you closed your eyes and sighed out before standing up slowly and sitting down on the couch. Your mind drifted off to Suho’s father, watching as he and his shadows took to fighting the massive gods that you have once served. You were angry. Mad that you even thought following those gods was the right thing to do, or the fact that it was Sung Jin Woo, Suho’s father that pulled you from the nightmare.

“Suho?” You called out, after not hearing anything for a while. The sound of something dropping and feet running across the floor could be heard as Suho burst into the living room. His eyes red from how long he had been crying. “You’re alive.” He whispered, moving closer to you. Standing in front of you, he dropped to his knees and wrapped arms around your waist. His face is buried in your lap. You could feel his tears soaking into your pants. “Suho, I met your father.” You whispered. Suho’s head snapped up, his eyes wide as he searched your eyes. “Does that mean he’s dead?” Suho asked. You shook your head, “No Suho. He isn’t dead. I also regained my memories. I am an apostle sent by Itarim to kill off humanity.” You said. You watched Suho freeze but he didn’t pull away from you. “I realized that wasn’t the place I wanted to be. It wasn’t what I wanted. I wanted to live a normal life, or at least as normal as it can be.” You said, your hand moving to thread through Suho’s hair, watching as his eyes closed, a soft breath leaving his lips.

Opening his eyes, Suho looked up at you, his eyes tracing your features as he gave you a goofy grin. You smiled down at him. “I don’t care what or who you are. I don’t care that you were an apostle for a group of gods that my father is facing off with. I don’t care if you are just a normal human.” Suho said, moving from where he was on his knees and sitting on the couch next to you. “Is this a weird time to tell you that I have a crush on you?” Suho asked, his face dusted a dark red as he waited for your answer. You laughed before turning to face him. “No, but I am a little dense. What do you mean by having a crush on me?” You asked, a sly smile on your lips. Suho turned to you and his own grin appeared on his face as he leaned towards you. 

“This is what I mean by having a crush on you.” Suho said, pressing his lips against yours. Your eyes immediately close. The warmth in your chest expands as Suho presses closer. His arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you against his chest while he deepens the kiss. Pulling away, you both stare at each other with half lidded eyes as you try to catch your breath. A red dusting the bridge of your nose while the tips of his ears were red. Your fingers moved up to your lips and brushed your fingers against your lips, a happy smile on your face. You leaned your head on Suho’s shoulder and closed your eyes. Suho wrapped his arms around you and leaned his head on your head. 

“Do you understand what I mean now?” He asked, his fingers rubbing down your arm as you smiled softly. “Yeah. I understand what you mean now.” You mumbled, pressing closer to Suho’s side. You knew you would never really come to terms with what you truly are, but with Suho by your side, you knew you could handle anything that comes your way. Suho, your ever-loving support, would smile and tell you how proud he is of you, and how much he loves you. You knew you found the right person to love. “Promise you will never leave me?” You asked one night as both you and Suho walked hand in hand around the small part near your shared apartment. Suho looked at you and smiled softly. “I will never leave you. I will share all your problems if you will let me.” Suho whispered, leaning forward and pressing his lips against yours in a soft, chaste kiss before you both continued on your walk, your steps lighter, now that you had someone by your side.

headcannons for Apollo and Meg after all the books beacuse all I've been doing for the past days are spinning these scrunkly guys around in my head at terminal velocity <3

- Meg always carries a pack of sunflower seeds with her when she goes to school.

- Whenever Meg takes ancient history and they cover Greece, she manages the worst grade beacuse Apollo tells her facts that the book literally dosent know and he thinks it's blasphemy that's she's failing.

- Apollo will literally never shut up about his kids now. he hears literally the smallest detail that reminds him of them and he talks for hours about them

- Artemis is around Apollo a lot more, and she's definitely more protective/worried about him. Apollo likes the extra time he gets with her.

- Apollo returned Paolo's bandanna, but definitely not before finding one for himself. he wears it everywhere, Artemis has tried to burn it like 20 times, but somehow it always returns to Apollo in one piece.

- Apollo cannot physically hear or look anything in a shakesperian accent without wanting to commit mass destruction/cry

- Meg never gets sunburnt. like ever. plus, her crops always manage to get the right balance of sun without her help.

- One day, Meg manages to teleport directly to Apollo. As it turns out, since Apollo got himself up out of Chaos, no one ever really broke the master/servant bond. Apollo conveniently does not mention this until the last moment possible, beacuse he likes feeling connected to Meg, even when he's away.

- Apollo kept his scars. In doing so, older scars seem to pop up, that he was definitely sure he didn't get while he was mortal. They cover his body, and he can't seem to get rid of them without the ones he got while being mortal going away too. So, he hides them, and only shows off the ones he got as a mortal.

- Apollo is allowed to visit Rachel, beacuse he wants to prevent something like Python from happening to his oracles again.Zeus buys this, but only beacuse he weighs in with Athena first. Athena was totally not bribed into this by Apollo with actual intellectual discussions, no sir.

- On a totally unrelated note, he tries to connect with Athena more. They have little discussions about different topics every week or two.

- Apollo likes trying to connect with all his Olympian family. He realizes that they all suffered under Zeus, and if they are closer, like an actual family, maybe it will lessen the blows.

- Meg somehow never gets sick. it is both a blessing and a curse, since she always has to care for her siblings when they are sick

- For some odd, very mysterious reason, whenever Apollo visits Rachel, his kids or Meg are ever-present, and after he visits for some time (some days he visits longer, others it is shorter) they just pop in. weird, but since he's here visiting his Pythia, and technically not his kids, Zeus isn't gonna pay that much attention to mortals

- Since Apollo's sacred animal (one of them, anyway) is a red cow, it's totally not far fetched that it falls within his duties to check on the herd at the Waystation. After all, what God wouldn't check on their sacred animal! some mortals might mistreat them, after all!! and since he needs to talk to the owners,, he might as well catch up with them, right?

- Camp Jupiter is totally in need of more renovations, right? and it makes sense that such a devoted group should deserve some kind of reward. plus, since Apollo made the mess with the whole war thing, it makes the most sense for him to go and help! and later, he needs to check that his work is top notch!

- Apollo always visits Meg on Sundays. Technically, he's visiting Herophile, since he needs to check on her too! she's an important oracle! but Meg lives there, so they are bound to run into each other, and it's totally not weird that these meetings take a day (or two) beacuse that's a mere blink in the eye, for a god, anyways.

How i feel about this character:

I like Ella quite a bit! She's one of the better parts of the first half of Pahkitew Island to me, super kind and sweet to a fault but to such an extent that it blinds her to others not liking her. I like thinking more about what kind of background she'd have considering how lonely she seems to be - she doesn't manage to make friends on her team, and while she ends the show not holding anything against the others, im sad she didn't make friends with anyone by the end.

I also think her relationship with Sugar is compelling as well, and contains the worst thing Sugar does imo. Also her singing pissing off Chris was funny

The people i ship romantically with this character:

I am an aromantic Ella truther. Nobody. shoutouts to Skyella and Ellammy/Sammella for being cute tho (and since she's prob cupio i could actually see her in a relationship? But she needs to unpack her current feelings towards romance for that to work)

My Non-Romantic OTP for this character:

Big fan of her and Beardo being buddies! Originally mostly paired them up because he's the music guy and she's the singing girl so they'd have something to bond over, but in general i think Beardo's more laidback personality would get along with the total ray of sunshine Ella is! Hell i bet he could rope her into pranks, and she could use them to get back at people indirectly? because she doesn't like confrontation?

Aside from that, her and Sky would be good friends i think! If tdpi would stop cosplaying as a pilot for tdrr at the very least! Sky could do with a friend who doesn't care much for the competition while Ella could do with someone who would actually defend her :p

ALSO Ella and Dawn. the fae and the princess. They hang out in the woods and make art with the pinecones and the twigs and the leaves. Dawn appreciates her singing and her perfect bird calls, Ella likes Dawn just being around her in general and being supportive. And she'd be supportive back!!! and i don't know if Dawn's used to that!!! See the vision

My unpopular opinion about this character:

I don't think she's as absurd as some people try to say she is. I've seen people do stupider things at her age, online or off; and the show makes it pretty dang clear that she's pretty isolated anyways, why shouldn't a lonely teenager be allowed to indulge in her interests and do it on a reality show she likes?

Also, unsure if this is unpopular or not, but i really like taking her dramarama characterisation in mind. It makes her so much more layered to be that she used to be an angry/naughty kid, and either changed from that or simply pushed down this anger to make herself be palatable to others. what's up with you, gimmick total drama girl

One thing i wish happened with this character in canon:

Weirdly enough i don't mind her writing in canon much? Outside of one thing. Why did her team think she was so annoying so fast. ik you guys all suck socially but at least try to talk to her!!! about it!! or something! This is like the Sammy thing where her team started hating her 2 days in. tdpi i love you but your writing is sometimes questionable (statement that applies to every season)

How i feel about this character:

I actually like Dave! While i do think his desperation to getting Sky's attention gets a little stale by the time "This is the Pits!" rolls around, it gets resolved two episodes afterwards and i LOVE it. I love seeing this guy get rejected into the ground, and then seeing his reaction it's so pathetic it's funny. In general i think him being convinced he's a totally normal guy when he really isn't is entertaining. Yeah sure Dave, sweeping the floor of the cave you're sleeping is very normal behavior (he's trying his best </3)

Im less of a fan of his characterization in the finale, since it feels less like an understandable progression of his character and more of a heel-turn the writers made him take because they needed an antagonistic force for the ending and couldn't find anything better. BUT I (and a mutual)'VE TALKED ABOUT IT BEFORE SO NO NEED TO EXPLAIN IT AGAIN!

The people i ship romantically with this character:

SHAWN i am a fan of dashawn :p and only dashawn :p they're both weirdoes and are so in denial of this it's funny they'd be so bad at it at first too. Honestly a pairing being funny to think about and having actual potential on top of that is peak way to get stuck in my brain

it also does help that said pairing has pretty good fics - giving a shoutout specifically to the ones written by @/noahtally-famous because honestly they understand this pairing on a deeper level than i do XD

My Non-Romantic OTP for this character:

Honestly Dave and Shawn's friendship in canon is also one i like alot. Crazy how the germaphobe befriended the guy who covers himself in garbage at one point and neither address that. And how they're both bad at romance but that's another thing

I would also like to shoutout this fic for making me see the vision of a Dave and Sky friendship happening after the stupid romance debacle because like. damn no you're right if they weren't complete ass at communicating maybe they would get along. (i WILL get you to read Temporary Permanence and there's nothing you can do about it!)

Also that one post that brought up a possible Dave and Staci friendship? Pretty cool. Pretty true. Dave nitpicks her shit and then Staci comes back the next day with actual evidence and it blows his mind so much he's decided they're buddies now

My unpopular opinion about this character:

I've made this one very well known, but i do actually like how much of a dumpster fire of communication skave is in canon. Ok i don't like that the middle part's a little dragged out, but i like how doomed it is from the start. I like how just getting sudden feelings about someone doesn't mean you know them, or that you actually need to talk to the other party for a relationship to work and you can't expect the other party to telepathically share the conclusions you've come to, or even that having very specific expectations about your situationship and then not communicating said expectations will fuck you over.

Hell i even like how the attitude Dave tried putting on that caused Sky to (finally) call him out was directly due to advice he got from Shawn. the other hopeless romantic on the island. There's actual progression there! Like holy shit a romance related arc that's not paced attrociously? In my Total Drama season?

This is ignoring the mess that happened in the finale but shush we don't talk about it here + i already have anyways

One thing i wish happened with this character in canon:

That they settled on one thing for him. Is he just a desperate romantic who's bad at communication? Is he an unstable dude who can't handle rejection without causing damage to everyone around him for it? Is he supposed to be both and the writers were just not great at hinting this beforehand?

Do you see why i think tdpi got a rewrite halfway through now? It's like they couldn't decide on an antagonist and just needed to find an antagonist for the finale and couldn't come up with anything better than dragging the Dave and Sky conflict for even longer. Like just have Chris try to kill them at this point he already has beef with so much of the cast why not go the extra mile?

HAPPY 8 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SANDERS SIDESS!!

I wish I could do more for this anniversary celebration but I have to go somewhere today and probably won’t have time to draw anything special. However, this is what I have time for since sanders sides was literally one half of my childhood and I recently got back into the hyperfixation of it. I love each of these characters to death and I’ll explain each of them in detail during this post <3

Logan: He is the best “teacher” ever! I wish he got more love from the other Sides, but the fandom definitely makes up for it. He’s a sucker for Crofters, got me into that jame btw, and he helped me learn a lot of new things! During one of my classes a teacher asked if anyone knew what a “Yerkes-Dodson Curve” was and let me tell you how I raised my hand so fast…. LOGAN MY BOI WE ALL LOVE YOU😭😭

Roman: The Man, the Prince, the Legend. He is so flamboyant I love him for that. He is the embodiment of “drama queen” and he definitely deserves that title. I loved this man to D E A T H since day one. I feel like half of me is literally his personality, and since I’m also insecure it checks out pretty well! If I was forced to only draw one Side for the REST of my life, it would be Roman in a heartbeat.

Patton: HES THE BIGGEST PUFFBALL WEVE GOT IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD AND EVERY CAN AGREE HES AMAZING AND OMFG HES SO ADORABLE AND EVERY BAD THING THAT HAPPENED TO HIM THAT HE COULDNT CONTROL SHOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED AND I ONLY WISH THE BEST FOR HIM AND HE DESERVES ALL THE COOKIES IN THE WORLD OMGGGGGGGGG- Ahem, aside all that… I do love Patton! day 5 wowza!!

for day 5 of scrunkly week, i... actually planned to go with all the prompts except what once was will never be again but... i got carried away and somehow that became the only prompt i wrote about ???????? dude i swear theres just smth that possesses my fingers when im writing

ngl i projected more than usual here somehow but this is like. hurt/comfort. paper cut has a shitty family and joe comforts him basically. their relationship is more ambiguous too. anyway

“Man, if I wanted to live in a place where there’s no snow during winter, I might as well go back to my hometown.”

Paper Cut quips as he looks up at the sky and reminisces the days he spent at a land oceans away from his current home, one corner of his lips tucked in disappointingly. Unfortunately for the two of them, San Francisco is not known for its snowfall activity. On the contrary, when it does occur, it’s written into the history books.

“Too bad you’re stuck with me, huh?”

Joe’s comment is accompanied by a kick of a rock, then it sinking into the murky city waters, like an extremely discounted version of throwing a coin into a fountain for a wish. Hands in his pockets despite wearing gloves.

“God, Joe, don’t even. I’d choose to be stuck with you over my family any time, any day.”

Paper Cut notices Joe’s very subtle flinching. He must’ve tried to hide it from him. Paper Cut sighs regretfully as he looks at his feet; as he’s sitting on the backrest of the bench, his feet rest on the seat itself.

“...Sorry.”

It’s all he can really say, even though he doesn’t owe it to anyone. And Joe makes this clear in his response.

“It’s okay. Your family members are assholes anyway.”

He’s not factually wrong but it doesn’t make Paper Cut any less guilty. The latter exhales through his nostrils as the former moves to sit on the bench beside Paper Cut.

“Yeah but I’m going against your whole belief, aren’t I?”

Always love your family. That’s number two of Joe’s many street survival rules. Paper Cut admires Joe for his strong beliefs but that rule of his has always made him reluctant to talk about family around him. In a way, Paper Cut considers Joe lucky to even hold that kind of belief, despite everything that happened with him and his sister.

“Maybe less ‘going against’ and more ‘challenging’.”

This comment makes Paper Cut turn towards Joe. Luckily, he doesn’t have to wait long for an explanation.

“Your situation made me think about things.”

Joe simply stares at the water. It is as tainted as any body of water that lies in the middle of an equally tainted city. Yet Paper Cut is not as tainted, despite being part of such a murky family. He dwells on this for a little longer.

“Family… you always have to love your family, yeah. But your family already hates you for something you can’t control. That’s not fair to you.”

Paper Cut struggles to find the words to argue back. Joe leans back in his seat.

“So, uh, it’s understandable if you can’t love them back. If anything, I think it’s good for you that you don’t force yourself to love them.”

Paper Cut appreciates Joe for reconsidering one of his core principles because of him, he truly does, but–

“...That’s the thing, though.”

“Huh?”

Paper Cut begins to move and promptly jumps off the bench entirely. He stands still, gaze lost to the cityscape.

“I don’t force myself to love them… because I already do. I still do, kinda. And it hurts to miss the people that can’t even love you back like you do with them.”

Paper Cut is hunched over now with his hands clasped close to his chest, choking on unshed tears. Joe instantly gets up at this display but Paper Cut simply shakes his head to stop him from laying a hand on him.

“I… I can’t erase our history together. It’s not like I was never happy when I was with them… They did make me happy at some point. But then they threw me out like I was garbage.”

Paper Cut finds himself kneeling on the ground. His heart is aching.

“...I just wished they did it sooner.”

He breaks. The pavement beneath him soaks up his tears emphatically, the only solace it can provide him. Joe has his right hand on his back as support.

“I’m an arcanist, they’re not. So why? Why did they keep me around for so long? Because I was useful? Yet they thought I was a disgusting arcanist anyway.”

Joe locks him in a side embrace now. He doesn’t push him away and simply keeps sobbing.

Eventually, they both sit down on the pavement, despite the presence of a bench right behind them. Paper Cut doesn’t have the strength for such a mundane action as sitting on a bench like a normal person. He was never normal anyway.

They stay like that for a few minutes. Paper Cut sniffs as he pulls his knees to his chest, resting his hands and head on them.

“...Sorry again. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. We were just talking about the fucking nonexistent snow here, haha.”

Joe shakes his head at the self-deprecating laugh and brings Paper Cut in for a full hug this time. Paper Cut says nothing. He presses himself closer into Joe. He smells like love.

“It’s okay.” And that is all Joe has to say. Yet it is all Paper Cut needed to hear. Because it is okay. He’s here now with Joe, who has more than enough love to offer.

And - he definitely imagined it but - he can feel snow in his hair.

Well. I just went back onto my Tumblr to see two asks in my inbox that were both posted at almost the same time, asking for headcanons for the same character. This is… weird, but hey, what choice do I have but to play along?

😭 A headcanon about the worst thing that ever happened to them.

Probably the only thing that strikes me as being a really horrible event for any of the Lords to go through would be Webby leaving.

Tinky’s definitely one of, if not, the youngest Lord, just based off of personality. And there’s no question as to whether Webby is the kindest. I imagine they were quite close before shit started to go down with her.

He was probably pretty depressed after she left. Hell, it was likely the first time any of his brothers had seen Tinky not interested in playing games. He just wanted her.

Though of course, if his current demeanour is anything to go by, he got over that phase eventually. Probably explains why he’s so possessive of his little scrunklies… speaking of which:

👻 A headcanon about what scares them

Tinky is terrified of any of his playthings being separated from him. It’s why he imprisons them in the Bastard’s Box for all eternity, and why he’s always seen carrying it about with him wherever he goes.

This once resulted in one of his brothers- likely Wiggly- stealing it from him and hiding it somewhere out of spite. You will never see a rotting eldritch goat more desperate for anything in your life.

Then again, there’s a reason why that only happened once. Because if anyone ever pries the Box out of his hands, the only thing they can do is face the hell that awaits them with as much dignity as possible, knowing they had it coming.

Wiggly’s not touching that fucking box ever again.

ohh, interesting question!!

it's hard to answer, because my interests are so far off from what is actually happening in the manga right now. so i'm a lot more biased towards "ugh, this sucks" right now, but i'll try to work around it and really think of what bothers me beside the lack of my beloved scrunklies.

generally i think my biggest issue right now is how different the story today is to the events before. if you tried explaining to an anime only how the true villain of the story is actually a six-winged nonbinary hoe with depression that keeps their child's corpse in the hiiragi's basement, they probably wouldn't believe it's the same series. and i know that this was planned from the start, and kagami didn't just come up with shikama three weeks ago, but it still feels bad to have everything that was set up in the beginning of the manga not really matter anymore. they centered the whole start around the world ending, and it makes sense that there was never much worldbuilding because now it's just another thing that happened.

what were the interesting points back then? the apocalyptic setting! the ever looming threat in form of the vampires trying to enslave the remnants of humanity! the unshakeable rule of the hiiragi family suppressing those below them! there were tons of charming characters introduced that probably won't ever show up again (one of which even has backstory with an um, ex main character, i'd call yoichi. goodbye plot relevance). now none of that really matters anymore. it's a kind of "hey there's this bigger threat and bigger secret that renders everything that happened in the past meaningless!" that i don't really like. so what does it matter that krul dies and ashera loses her? they were angels in the past! their souls are bound together! they'll see each other again soon!

i'm not a fan of soulmate plots. i need at least 7 books of explanation for why these two characters like each other before i can see the relationship as true and meaningful. this is also why i can't bring myself to be interested in mika/yuu anymore, but i don't want to put a target on my back right now. they're good, alright. just not for me.

another thing that bothers me is how we're supposed to relate to, and perhaps even root for shikama. they were set up in both vampire reign and catastrophe as this incomprehensible force that planned the fate of the entire human race, leaving them as nothing more than figures on a chess board. and that's cool! that's terrifying! but shikama and the other angels turned out to be... not really incomprehensible at all. they're just humans with wings and special powers. to me, that's pretty underwhelming. maybe a different, more stylised approach to telling the story of angel mika would have made it easier to enjoy for me. something that wasn't just another version of "someone i love died and i didn't want them to so i did this thing". maybe that's the point, a cycle doomed to repeat, but... i don't know, i guess i expected something else.

so no, i don't like the recent developments. i can't think of anything i like about it, honestly. but that's a me problem. most people seem to like it, especially the mika enjoyers that have gotten their wildest dreams fulfilled these past few years! it's a little sad that my brain lost interest in him, i'd be a lot happier with the content we're getting.

this sounds extremely negative but oh well! i still look forward to the chapters and am excited to see what happens next, but without the thought of "hey, X scene has to happen at some point, it'll just take a while", i probably wouldn't be here anymore. i'll just wait for that and let the rest pass me by. yuu the floating eye, sure....

I answered this one for Morganite on another ask, but I'm gonna give another, because she just has so much hate and disdain stored up in that gemstone, ahah-

I have a silly OC headcanon that half-Gem Jean Maverick ends up introducing the game of billiards to Gemkind at Little Homeschool. Well, a modified version of the game that's about scoring points for the most mathematically "sick AF" shots eventually ends up spreading like wildfire across the galaxy proper, and plenty of Morganite's lackeys are sucked into it, playing it constantly. Thus, she really, really fucking hates billiards. It's constantly distracting her troops from their duties. Yet another way that damned hybrid keeps thwarting her plans.

Oh, absolutely fight.

With the circumstances she's lived through (a viscous war, a life partner defecting to join rebels, one's diamond being shattered and having to be re-assigned and rebuild one's reputation under a new leader-) she's easily paranoid, and always wide alert. You really do NOT want to sneak up on her, or spring anything unexpected.

Courtier era Tourmaline tells people that she wants to be seen as the most intelligent, knowledgeable Gem in the room. Tourmalines are like... the bookkeepers, the ones who actually WRITE the history- at their Diamonds' behest, of course- and so it is their duty to be in the Know about everything happening around them at all times.

In reality though, all Tourmaline really wants is to make people laugh. To enjoy lasting conversation. To make an impression. For so, so many years, other Gems only saw her as like... a tool, a means to access knowledge, just a living repository for facts, but she wants people to gravitate to her because of who she IS, not what she can give.

35- What is the smallest morally questionable choice they’ve made?

The SMALLEST morally questionable choice? Well... hmm. I mean, she was a strategist in a war, so there were plenty of BIG morally questionable choices... but small?

Hmm.

The reason why these memes are so fun is that sometimes they inspire me to pull shit right out of my ass on the spot. Anyways, one day Tourmaline was sharpening her sword in Bismuth's forge at her permission and accidentally like, broke one of her tools.

She never fessed up to it, and eventually one of Bismuth's weapon smith apprentices gets blamed for it instead.

22- What simple activity that most people do / can do scares your character?

Eating food freely without having to scrounge over the nutrition labels to look at ingredients. Like damn, how do these people live?

The reason why is that Jean has a gluten intolerance- it's not... entirely so bad that it's a full-out allergy, but life is simply easier if they go to the effort of avoiding it as much as they can. This is a big reason why they always envied Gems growing up, in how they don't need to eat or drink or sleep to remain operational- just access to light.

Jean really wishes they weren't saddled down with this half-human bit a lot, suffice it to say. Surely everything would be sooo much easier if they were just a Gem. (So they believe.)

31- When do they feel the most guilt? How do they respond to it?

In the wake of drastic events that come far later, Jean ends up saddled with guilt in how they handled their first encounter with Morganite. They feel that Little Homeworld and Beach City wouldn't have come under such fire if they had acted more decisively that day- poofed her, perhaps, instead of simply cornering her to be ultimately led off in the custody of Homeworld reform officers.

Their way of dealing with all this stress and the needless what-ifs is by completely wearing themself to the bone around the clock in the manhunt for Morganite after her vicious attack on Little Homeworld/Beach City. Jean simply cannot rest until this loose end is tied up completely, and they will absolutely face negative bodily repercussions due to this.

`let's talk about caleb/xia yizhou

i've decided to complie a (sort of) categorised list of all the theories so far regarding caleb's character/identity (and his possible importance to the story of lnds in the future) from posts i've gathered from other players here on tumblr, reddit, and on twt, including some of my own personal theories/questions that i haven't seen anyone speak about yet (to my knowledge) and wanna share, feel free to tell me your thoughts too! oh and please let me know if there’s any potential theories regarding caleb/xyz that i haven’t included in this list yet, i’ll be sure to add them as soon as i can :3 anywho~ let's start off a little simple... ૮˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა ♡

as a caleb girlie i have ruthlessly hunted around for anything and everything that i can find to support this idea (of course) but let's begin with some small details that a lot of people have noticed.

he's the first character to have a phone call with the mc, as well as a text message conversation. only the love interests have these types of interactions with mc so far so it sets him apart from the usual side characters. infold are clearly doing as much as they can to intergrate caleb into the mc's life, further signifying how much of an important character he is to the mc and to the story.

there's also many visual scenes of his character model doing all sorts of animations, not even tara or any of the other male side characters like thomas or jeremiah have this many (or at all). and yeah, most of these animations are probably just default ones which may also be the exact ones used for the boys but even so, why would infold put a lot of time in animating him (and his multiple changing expressions) if they were truly just going to kill him off seconds later?

his design was made as carefully as xavier, zayne, and rafayel's designs were - the proof of this is his original outfit. not too sure why they decided to change it (maybe it was too 'dark'? it might've been too much of a in-your-face hint that caleb would return as a possible antagonist?) but it was clear that they went through the effort of changing it for a reason... personally i love his og outfit more, it makes his necklace stand out more and he just looks so itty bitty scrunkly wunkly.

there's some other things i want to add. we know that mc gave caleb the 'when u come back' necklace before he left for skyhaven and after the explosion, caleb sort of 'returns' it. and by returns i mean when the explosion happens caleb's necklace is found right in front of her. with the engraving, it sort of foreshadows him coming back. now, to analyse the explosion a bit more, it happens very suddenly - like as soon as caleb goes into the house and closes the door. of course this makes it seem like he was affected by the explosion but how come caleb's necklace was found in one piece right in front of her? he was wearing it after all, so for it to be the only thing (other than caleb's... remains) in front of her makes it seems like him 'dropping/leaving' the necklace was kind of intentional. we see caleb using his gravitational/telekenisis-like evol in a segment of chapter 4 when he takes the necklace from her, so it makes sense for him to use it again when he's giving it back to her, right? adding onto this little theory about caleb using his evol in the explosion, mc was pretty close to the house when it exploded but is quite far from it after the explosion. now obviously this is due to the explosion blasting her back, but i do think that caleb possibily used his evol to push her away so that the explosion wouldn't severely hurt her. this makes sense, seeing as she was only slightly injured from the explosion, nothing too serious. but then again, we don't know the true extent of caleb's evol, is he powerful enough to be able to do that? i wouldn't put it past him though, seeing as he is a deepspace pilot and i'm sure he uses his evol for work which means he must've been training with it. going back to my previous point about him using his evol to intefere with the explosion, if he really did push mc away then it's possible he managed to keep himself safe from the explosion using his evol too. but if he managed to get himself and mc to safety then what about grandma? with her condition it's probably not possible that she managed to escape on her own and we don't know whether during that time where caleb and mc were outside if she was still in the house or not. could she have been kidnapped? i'll add more about what i think about the relationship between grandma and caleb further down in another section...

and who exactly was that guy that injured mc in early chapter 4 before caleb found her? from what we can gather with such little info we have, he could've been sent by sylus/onychinus or maybe even caleb himself. the attacker/random guy makes a comment which gives off the sense that he knows mc and this is probably because whoever sent him ordered the attacker guy to be a diversion and lure mc out of the house, via the wanderer/energy fluctuations. if caleb was the one who 'sent' this guy, why would he make that quip about avenging mc for that guy hurting her? is he keeping up with some sort of false façade so mc doesn't question his motives? it seems unlikely though... i think he was genuinely upset over seeing her get hurt and how she proceeded to lie about it to him.

another thing to add, the explosion doesn't go off as soon as caleb and mc are out of sight, this means that the aim wasn't to kill just the grandma but caleb too seeing as it happens as soon as caleb enters the house. but with this theory, it means he had no idea about the attack. in a way this all adds up, meaning that him using his evol to push mc out of safety was out of impulse. we can assume that an important part of the explosion was to ensure mc was kept alive, and this futher implies that the explosion could've been the work of onychinus or more specifically sylus. they're interested in finding the aether core after all (from what’s implied), but if it really was them, how would they know mc has it? only a few people like zayne, dr.noah, and grandma/joesphine (and also maybe xavier, jeremiah, and rafayel? it's not too certain in this timeline...) know that mc's heart is infused with the aether core. i do have a feeling caleb knows as well, it just makes sense as he’s the ‘older brother’ figure so he must know certain ‘family matters’, but then again as caleb is so secretive we don’t have a concrete answer on what he does and doesn’t know which is what makes him suspicious. could he be the one who potentially/accidentally implied or informed sylus/onychinus about the aether core having to do something with mc? is that why he faked his death, so that they’d assume caleb and mc were the ones in the explosion and not caleb and grandma? i’ll also make a seperate post on sylus seeing as there's one month left until he will be officially introduced (i am so very excited) as he’s after the aether core (perhaps he was the one that put it into mc’s heart in the first place? or he created it?)

back to caleb, him 'losing' his necklace admist the explosion is almost like him letting go to his past self (?) is he going to use this explosion as some sort of... rebirth or character development? will he let go of his soft, puppy-like persona? it sounds like a bit of a stretch but i do think he has something shady going on. maybe letting go of the necklace is like letting go of the 'big brother' title so that he can return into mc's life as a love interest and not as an older sibling-like figure. i think caleb tries to show us that he's upset mc still see's him as a 'brother' just because they grew up together. comments are thrown around, like how she should just trust him now that they're grown up and how they're not little kids anymore - this all makes it seem like they don't have to keep seeing each other like they're siblings and that they're mature enough to articulate their feelings.

and it may be a stretch, but a lot of the typography in the latest content uploads DO have subtle signs that point towards caleb, almost like they're hinting at the fact that caleb is still 'here' and he isn't gone like we are believed to think.

and i'm not sure if anyone's played mr. love queen's choice (it's another otome game made by infold and lnds is set in the future of the same universe that queen's choice was set in) but killing off their LIs and bringing them back to life isn't something they haven't done before so... take what you will from that. not to mention, caleb's name has been trademarked/copyrighted by infold...

and if that wasn't enough to convince you, then here's infold quite literally saying that caleb will return at some point in future updates.

ᰔ caleb's 'arguement' with mc was forced/intentional

so there's a part in the beginning of chapter 4 where caleb informs grandma and mc that he submitted an application for a long-term care ward for grandma (did he do this to keep grandma out of the way? knowing that she could interfere?) mc is suprised about this, as is joesphine (grandma) and when mc asks him why he didn't say anything to her about it all he does is laugh and look away - brushing it off. later on, when mc decides to hide/lie about the fact that she got attacked by someone caleb gets quite defensive and hurt over her not telling him about it. in the moment, mc doesn't mention the fact that he has kept things from her too (such as the care ward thing) probably because it slipped her mind due to caleb reacting the way he did, or because if she did mention his hypocrisy, it would probably make things worse or end a little more bitterly than it did.

however, we know (from the phone call with caleb at end of chapter 1, as well as a part in chapter 4) that these two are aware that they both tend to keep things from each other. claiming it to be 'top-secret' or 'classified information', but then again this is to do with work related sort of stuff - getting hurt by some random dude on the street or submitting an application to a care ward isn't exactly associated with their positions as a hunter/pilot.

i think it's pretty obvious that the reason caleb joined mc when she left to search for wanderers wasn't because he needed to collect some groceries. if you want some visual proof - when he confronts mc he isn't holding any grocercy bags or anything, nor does he bother making a joke about how the store didn't have any of the things she requested or how he forgot to bring his card with him, and that's probably because he wasn't gonna bother keeping up that act seeing as mc had already caught onto it when she told him not to follow her. again, mc doesn't point out any of this and maybe it's because she's too caught up with the emotions in the conversation or maybe it’s because caleb’s reaction/behaviour is sorta making her feel guilty and in the wrong.

so why did caleb follow her? was it because he wanted to speak with her alone? it was clear he had something on his mind before he hesitated (more on that later) or was it because he needed to buy some time so that the 'bomb' could be placed and set off? anyway, the reason why i'm suggesting the 'arguement' was forced is because maybe caleb wanted mc to despise him so that she would be less hurt over his 'death'? or that when he returns she'd forgive him instantly because she would regret the way things ended before his 'death'... i'm not too sure on the reason, but the way he went about the situation was kiiinda suspect, like he was purposefully trying to rile up emotions.

ᰔ caleb the villain

do i think caleb will return as an antagonist? yep. and if you think about it, like reaaaally think about it, it makes a lot of sense because why would he need to fake his death in the first place if not for something shady. no deepspace pilot needs to be doing all of that. but if, for some reason, he stays dead (... guys c'mon he won't trust me) then he merely was just a civillian that fell victim to a wanderer-associated explosion. not a shred of evil in his soul. i’ll add more onto the idea of evil/dark caleb later but for now i'm going to expand more on this in the section below~

ᰔ caleb is (not) sylus?

i've seen a lot of players debate over the idea of the shadowy figure at the end of chapter 8 being either caleb or sylus... or both? personally, voice wise (english voiceover) ... i think they're pretty similar. i haven't compared both mysterious guy and caleb's voice in the other languages yet, but if all the other voiceovers had similar caleb's and sylus' i'd assume more people would've put more attention on that, as that would sort of be a little bit of confirmation that the similar sounding voices were intentional or something. but still, it wouldn't be enough. now appearance wise, i also think they look quite alike. yes, the hairstyles are different but if caleb really did fake his death then he'd change up his appearance and embody a sort of new persona, right? i mean he'd still be the same caleb we love and know, but i feel like there would just be a new aura to him. i saw another player saying that perhaps the chapter 8 guy probably is caleb but with his face surgically modified due to the explosion which sounds like a really good theory, seeing as these brightened photos of the mysterious guy just looks like a more sharper/defined version of caleb's puppy-like face.

a lot of other players also said that the mysterious guy might be thomas, as it would make sense for rafayel to be talking to thomas but i really think that's not the case. now do i think caleb is sylus? maybe. but truly, i think caleb is most likely just working closely with sylus/onychinus meaning that sylus and caleb are in fact two different people (perhaps they’re actually twins or related somehow??)

however, after chapter 8 came out and the devs made this post on weibo:

a lot of people took this in as confirmation that the mysterious guy from chapter 8 was not in fact sylus. so could it be caleb instead? but then that would go against the theory of caleb being sylus, seeing as this post says that sylus has not appeared yet...

ᰔ caleb is (not) sylus? [part 2, as of june 20/21st post-sylus announcement]

now that sylus' model has officially been shown, we can confirm that chapter 8 guy really isn't sylus and so i suppose it's time to debunk all the 'sylus = caleb' theories. though it still confuses me on how sylus character profile was unlocked in the hunters encyclopedia (? spacepedia was it) right after the completion of chapter 8 , i think that's why we were all so quick to believe that the mysterious figure at the end was sylus. but anyway, personally for me now i'm way more convinced mr. shadowy figure dude really was caleb and i really want to know if caleb is working against or with sylus and if sylus has anything to do with caleb having this... alter ego.

ᰔ the apple motif

a player pointed out that we're seeing some sort of re-telling of fairytales through the love interests, i.e. sleeping beauty, ice queen, the little mermaid, etc. and that caleb is the 'snow white' of this theory, you know, with the apple and all. i like this theory because it suggests mc being the knight in shining armour, having to save her boys. and i'm a little (very) curious on what sylus' fairytale would be too, or if he’ll be an iconic sort of villain/morally grey character like maleficent? i feel like we'll see more of these 'apples' throughout the story... even if caleb stays dead (he won't) also, kind of unrelated, but one of my favourite book series - which is sorta like a fairytale to begin with (it's called once upon a broken heart by stephanie garber, if you end up wanting to read it don't physically go and buy it/support the author... she's a z!onist, i can give you an epub file to the book so you can read it for free so that it doesn't give her any money lol) - has a character who's got a curse where his kisses are deadly, and if he kisses anyone who isn't his 'one true love' then they'll die. the thing is, he doesn't know who his 'one true love' is or if this person will even be someone he reciprocates feelings for. he surpresses his urges to kiss by eating these magical (?) apples and somehow it's enough for him to not go on a murdering spree. again, as this is off-topic and of course will most likely not happen, i'm mentioning this only because it'll be interesting to see if there's some sort of significance to why caleb likes apples so much? is it because mc likes them? we know that mc likes apples through a line she says to xavier in one of his memories:

but also when caleb steals the necklace mc got/made him and he mentions that it's in a style that she really likes. which is probably refering to the little apple pendant thingy? but yeah, maybe it has something to do with their childhood i'm not too sure. besides that, if you look closely in some scenes where mc is in her apartment you can see a framed picture/painting of an apple in her bedroom. did caleb give that to her? or was it commissioned?

ᰔ what's the beef between grandma and caleb?

so as far as we know, grandma took in mc and caleb. she was looking for mc and found her in an orphanage/foster home (?) and took her in because mc recognised her somehow despite all of the experiments she endured and the 'incident' (chronorift catastrophe) that happened in linkon city, i'm not too sure if we know how grandma found caleb (though if anyone knows where it may have been mentioned pls let me know), but for now let's assume they were taken in at around the same time or similar. if that were the case, then perhaps caleb was also a subject for the 'experiments' that joesphine and her colleagues were conducting. since mc has her memories wiped regarding that time, which was most likely due to her aether core or her evol, i think if caleb was truly a victim in these 'experiments' then maybe he might still have memory of this? though, why would he allow joesphine to take him in if he knew what she did/does? or maybe he was too young to understand anything and only later came to a realisation when he grew up - probably after finding some files/photos that tied joesphine to mc/himself before the 'incident'. we all know caleb is pretty secretive, so if he did find something out he would've not made it obvious. but then again, mc did tell zayne (i think, or maybe it was monologue) that there was barely any trace of joesphine's research/work around their (old) home. so if caleb did find something out, then it must've been from an outside source - and i get the feeling an outside source would be someone from the N109 zone.

whatever happened, i think grandma is weary of caleb, like she knows that he's been associating himself with the wrong kind of people or that he'll end up not being a constant in mc's life e.g. his sudden death (if it was planned/faked in the first place) which is why she entrusts mc to zayne instead of caleb. it seems that she really wants to match-make zayne and mc together - we know from her trying to get mc and zayne to have lunch together if she had to be placed into a hospital, and from her telling zayne to look after mc when she passes. maybe she actually knows more about zayne (and his past lives) than we think, which is why she's more reliant on leaving mc to zayne because she feels she knows more about him rather than caleb because as i said, she appears to be a bit skeptical of him. there's even a part in the 'world underneath' stories where she hesitates to say caleb's name, (maybe because that's not even his real name??) but that's to assume if she was even referring to caleb here:

ᰔ what was that flash of light that made caleb change his mind from explaining to mc?

i haven't seen anyone mention this i think but caleb seems to give up on what he was saying as soon as something flashes by. it's almost like he comes to a certain realisation as soon as this happens. he looks really sad and hurt, so what was he about to say? if you listen closely to chapter 4 segment 3 'within reach', the flash of light that passes by and is reflected on his face is acompanied by the sound of a car going past. he doesn't look at this car, but is he somehow reminded of zayne? as far as we know he's the only male love interest (other than rafayel, but caleb doesn't know rafayel... right?) that drives a car (he has multiple actually… rich daddy) and as well as this, doesn't zayne live close by to caleb's/mc's childhood home? (i'm not too sure on this, correct me if i'm wrong...) so it could actually be him. i assume that since lnds is set in the future - public transport would be much more advanced and faster than how it is now which is why many people would opt to use it more often rather than using personal vehicles, so it's possibile caleb could have recognised the sound/look of zayne's car? which is why he decided to put an end of the conversation there - being reminded of zayne and his position in mc’s life, probably thinking that zayne would be mc's first choice if she were to confide in someone. but of course, if that really was zayne we may never know. caleb sort of laughs/scoffs (?) to himself and looks down right after he pauses and the flash of light passes by. it's like he's coming to terms with something, maybe accepting the fact that in mc's eyes he'll always be seen as the 'brother' figure and he can't have what he really and truly wants. aaaand drumroll, this brings me to my next point...

ᰔ caleb and his relations with zayne

their designs are pretty similar, in fact they could even pass off as twins seeing as their hairstyles sort of just mirror each other. but no, i don't think they're actually related, though i do get the sense that there might be some sort of jealousy going on (?) maybe not so much from zayne's side but the way caleb says the line "even the world's busiest guy has to eat. i haven't seen him in a looong time. we should invite him over for dinner, right?" (in chapter 4 segment 1 'family') it sounds a bit... strange to me. the way he says it is like how one would challenge prey into enemy territory. but then again, i really think i'm just looking too far into it. caleb naturally has a spontaneous and joke-y way of talking anyway, so maybe it probably is nothing malicious, but give it a listen if you really want to.

we don't know caleb's exact age (yet) and i don't know if he'd be older or younger than zayne, but hopefully in the future there's more on what their relationship is like - seeing as they're almost like polar opposites, i feel like their dynamic would be fun to witness. i presume those two didn't keep in touch over text/call like how caleb does with mc, so it would be nice to see them finally interact after so long. even a flashback with mc, caleb, and zayne as kids would be good... i'm begging for anything at this point...

that's all i have for now, i'm probably missing a lot of potential lore that could help with these supposed theories because the only myth cards i've completed so far is zayne's foreseer myth. i think in the lumiere myth cards there was a bit about the 'incident/catastrophe' (?) but since i lost the 50/50 to raf i've been a bit pouty and haven't watched a reupload of it or anything (i really wanted his solar pair ok...) anywho, i'll perhaps edit/correct this as more of the story comes out or if you guys want me to add/change anything :3 thank you for reading! i hope you enjoyed me rambling on about caleb. this is basically my manifestation post so that he comes home... we miss you xia yizhou. I don’t think Byler will become canon - or, not in the way people think it will.

It’s cute and all, but I’ve been trying for a while to figure out what all this Byler chatter reminds me of, and I finally figured it out - it reminds me of Destiel and Reddie.

Spoilers ahead for IT (2017) IT Chapter Two (2019) and Supernatural.

Also, a disclaimer: I haven’t watched seasons 3 and 4 of Stranger Things, all my knowledge of Byler comes from @dont-open-dead-inside-25

So! First off, comparisons for Byler and Reddie. (IT 2 spoilers abound.)

IT and ST are both horror-type shows, and Stranger Things feels heavily inspired by IT. Bev and Nancy have the same energy, Pennywise and Vecna have the same energy, and Richie & Eddie and Will & Mike both have similar dynamics. Also, no matter what Cider says, Pennywise is not scrunkly. you know who is scrunkly? L Deathnote.

Anyway.

In IT 2, Eddie is killed after dramatically saving Richie from Pennywise, and it’s been a while since I saw the ending, but iirc it’s very heavily implied that Richie loved Eddie, but never said anything.

I think this happening for Byler is a possibility, but I think it’s more likely that they’re going to go the Supernatural direction.

So, we all know the Destiel confession meme - this one -

- but a little bit of context for those not familiar with Supernatural.

I’ve been on Tumblr for A While. I think I joined in... 2014 ish, specifically for the Supernatural stuff. I was one of Those People.

Dean and Cas had chemistry since Cas’s first appearance in season 4, but it really ramped up in the later seasons. I’m specifically remembering S12E12, Stuck In The Middle With You.

S12E12 contained a very dramatic scene in which Cas, having been stabbed in the abdomen by a magic spear, is about to die and says to Dean “I need you.” This caused some waves in the fandom, we took it as a sign that Destiel was becoming canon slowly.

I mean, we weren’t really wrong, but we weren’t exactly right either.

Anyway, further on in the show, Cas confesses that he loves Dean - explicitly stating, “I love you.” He then disappears forever.

“But Caff,” you say, “Stranger Things is inclusive! It has a canon lesbian character! Why wouldn’t Byler be canon?”

Well, friends, Supernatural also has a canonically lesbian character. Her name is Charlie, and we love her - and also, she died a horrible death, as all Supernatural characters eventually do. (Yes, even the main ones.) (Multiple times.)

For what it's worth, I do think Mike and Will are going somewhere in their relationship, but I don't think it's necessarily where everyone thinks it's going. I think that they're either going to have one of them confess, then one of them dies, or the other way around - one of them dies, then the other regrets never confessing.

Bury Your Gays is an old, overused trope, and I'm tired of seeing it - but I think it's going to strike once again.

NEW CHAPTER

new chapter alert 

I am.. I cant EVEN OH MY GOD ANYWAYS

If you dont even want to hear or see anything of the new chapter i dont reccomend looking as I’m gonna talk about some things during this chapter, things that could happen after this chapter and things from clash pt 1 (ch 390).

But anyways...

This was probably my favorite part. Lynch and Zakuro have such a good dynamic im crying I cant have yet another duo in my head but yet here they are.

Seeing them again in general in a new chapter was just magical in and of itself. like dude. THEYRE BACK  . AND ITS REAL AND WOW...

“HOW CAN I GET IT TO DIE?” I LOVE LYNCH SO MUCH HELP SHE IS JUST SO BLUNT AND AND ANWYAYS.

I also love the introduction to another aspect of Zakuros ability and just the sheer amount of personality both of them have been given in the short amount of time they’ve been introduced. 

And like how does Zakuro know who Hisoka is? Do they even know??? I’m guessing that their funky little blood pellets won’t find Hisoka, but will instead find a phantom troupe member.

Give me a minute to see where everybody was the last time Togashi showed the map. (I’m hoping they’ll find machi bc... machi fan reasons)

Theyre all on teir 3 (Zakuro, Lynch, Hinrigh) in a food/shopping court, then Zakuro and Lynch go into a hallway somewhere, but other than that I dont know.

Ok, so if Machi stays in teirs 4/5, then it’s unlikely that she’ll come across Zakuro and Lynch.

I think there could be 3 things that could happen:

1. They may run into more Heil-Ly associates such as Luini or Cashew, but Hinrigh is already kind of dealing with those people. 

Maybe Hinrigh will run into Luini and Zakuro and Lynch will run into Cashew or vice versa. Depending on how their ability works and the descriptions they were given, Zakuros ability could very well mistake somebody else for being Hisoka, as they’re just looking for anybody ‘suspicious’.

2. It would be interesting to see if the Illumi = Hisoka theory could come into play. Zakuro and Lynch are hunting down Hisoka, but what if they run into Illumi instead because Zakuros ability spotted him and recognized him as being Hisoka... Though I think Mizai and Botobai intervined this in previous chapters. The lockdown was lifted, so there’s a possibility that Kalluto and Illumi could have been released, but iirc we haven’t gone back to their perspective since.

3. Chrollo, Bonolenov, and Shizuku are at the bottom of the fourth teir, but aside from Illumi and Kalluto, they are the closest members of the troupe. Since they’re both hunting down Hisoka, a matter of things could happen. I doubt that they would want to team up, and instead, I feel like tensions would be made, as the troupe’s (specifically Chrollo’s) interaction with the Cha-R group (I think) at the dining hall wasn’t very amicable, and the associates even noted that they were trouble. Chrollo seems to REALLY want to be the one to kill Hisoka as well, so I can imagine he would have mixed feelings on two people he has no idea about looking for him, and possibly looking to kill him before he does.

Any way it goes, I can’t wait for the loose threads in the storyline to be actually tied.

Anyways, enough of going into that part of the chapter, I want to talk about Hinrigh’s ability now.

At first, tbh I didn’t think that I would be very invested in Hinrigh, but this chapter saved my opinion because like.

HIS ABILITY IS SO FREAKING GOOFY LIKE. HE JUST MAKES A CAMERA INTO A CAT AND THEN PUTS ‘EM ON “RECORD MODE”. It’s so silly but in all seriousness what an amazing ability. It’s so convenient, and the fact that he can make full on animals out of everyday animals is pretty astonishing. Imagine the type of training and how much of it you’d have to do to master that ability. 

+ The cat is so scrunkly i love it so much I would die for the RECORD MODE cat. It reminds me of those videos on youtube where the people put the cameras on the cats collar. I wonder if that was the inspiration for this, because a cat isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think of recording or having another pair of eyes or whatever, and I wouldn’t put it past Togashi. Our man full on made an ability (Silent Majority) out of a song name, and put in facts about the weight of bowling balls just because he likes to watch bowling.

I also like to think that he just makes companions for when he’s alone on the job. Like he makes a dog out of a machine gun and bonds with it and if somebody tries to attack him because they think he’s distracted he’s like “aha!!!” and shoots them with his machine gun dog.

I cant wait to see the next chapters, even though I doubt they’ll be for free on viz, I’ll find another way to see them. I’m so excited to be experiencing the comeback of my favorite series!

This lupo has moved into my head and is living there rent free ever since. There's just so much about her that I find so intruiging. We have no real clue what had happened to the Texas' family. Siracusa is largely unexplored territory. How does she even relate to Lappland? If she's from Siracusa, why does her file state Columbia as her origin? I dunno man but I wanna know! I need to know!!!

There's this ominous phrase in her file: "When the past does catch up to her, she will face it was composure--unless it disrupts her present, then we'll witness the genuine rage inside her." And I could talk at length about this line alone, but I'm gonna stop myself short here, because this post won't end otherwise.

The Frog. The Queen. The precious one. Her smile warms my heart. Her presence is comforting like the blankets she wraps around my shoulders. Her sweetness is joyous like the cakes she bakes. I would offer her all the hugs she could ever wish for. And I would hold her hand, until she found the confidence to move on her own.

Best froggo. 12/10, would poison again. Also best sniper in the game.

I have a habit of adopting traumatized children as daughters, and like, Absinthe has seen some shit - which is, to be fair, something you could say for every Ursus student. Absinthe is special to me, because I feel like there's much of a story to tell, aside from what we've seen in Children of Ursus (her chapter in the event felt more like an introduction to her character).

She has been forced to grow up in a span of only a few days, had to quite literally pick up her dead father's weapon and chose to also inherit his belief in justice, which she struggles with quite a lot. Justice is a concept that's pretty interesting to me and one that also fits Arknights themes very well.

Despite all that I feel like she gets barely discussed, despite all the potential this would have in relation to other operators (W, for example). Funnily enough she's also my most used Caster. I love the sound her weapon makes when being fired.

She's just pure comedy. Like imagine a supreme court judge joining a para-military cancer relief foundation for shits and giggles. Imagine the entire HR staff completely stressed out and panicing, because they know that she could quite literally make Rhodes Island an enemy of Yen by the wave of a hand - and the Doctor just let her in, no questions asked. Meanwhile, said court judge gets into petty arguments with engineers and technicians because she throws off their radars and sensors just by being physically close to them. Magnets keep sticking to her.

Technically - not a side character, she's an operator and all. But I'm not even sure she got mentioned in any parts of the story up until this point. So I say that counts until I am proven wrong because I probably forgot about some scene in chapter 3 or something

Uhhh, not sure if that counts. I don't think she's really controversial or anything, she's just kind of messed up for the lengths she goes to earn money. I mean, she was kind-of a bad guy in Mansfield Break, even almost betraying Tony the Tiger for her own gains. She has reasons for doing so of course, but like you gotta be pretty desperate to take on five part-time jobs and also do contract murders on the side (I don't know if she has five part-time jobs, but she sure looks like she does).

If anything she looks tired as hell and desperately needs sleep. Poor little racoon.

1. What’s your favorite route: Birthright, Conquest or Revelation?

I’d have to say conquest! but revelations is a close second i just happen to like its maps more :) Also nohrian royal family supremacy it’s all about them babey!!! Plus takumis cutscenes are in conquest are really good <3 There’s a lot I love abt it trust me I’m just bad at describing what I like about stories

2. Favorite character from Hoshido/BR?

Including the neutrals it’s Kaze & Takumi my little guys :) EXCLUDING its Takumi, Kagero & Subaki he is so scrunkly also Kaze is so good he takes up 2 fave character spots. Kaden used to be up there but I have started to care less abt him over time so sorry king </3

When fates does comedy it does it really well I think. Like so many of Shiros lines are just insanely hilarious, little cheese of Hoshido <3 Also like dad Takumi is so important to me he really tries and he messes up like any parent would but he doesn’t hide the fact that he did from Kiragi. The next time they talk he tells him straight and apologizes n just 💞💕💞💗 he’s doing his best!! Also Kiragi going DAD IF YOU DONT START LOVING YOURSELF RIGHT NOW ILL START CRYING AND KEEP CRYING and Takumi going OKAY OKAY I LOVE MYSELF in their A support is so funny. Also like kinda shippy but it’s also rlly funny to me how Kiragis supports with his moms are so Leo. That’s a Leo support. On a similar note WHERE ARE THE AUNT & UNCLE SUPPORTS!! I WANT A HINOKA & KIRAGI SUPPORT!! WHERE IS THE ASUGI & KAZE SUPPORTS!!! LET ASUGI CHAT WITH HIS UNCLE!!!
