Summary list of several Shoto's brand of secret love childTM (or just related, actually) theories that I find interesting

I'm going to focus on non-canonically proven Whom related to Whom theories, so I'll put in the probable reason why it came to be as well:

(Spoilers: it's mostly just quirk, appearance, personality, and/or mannerism similarities based)(also spoilers if you haven't finished the manga, so anime-onlys beware!)

Hisashi Midoriya is related to Enji Todoroki/Endeavor

Because fire breathing and making fire is pretty close, in a way.

Izuku Midoriya is related to Hisashi Midoriya

The DFO theory.

Inko Midoriya is related to Nana Shimura and/or Reiko Yanagi

Because quirks be similar,

And the similar hairstyle of the former 2, but lots of the cast uses a similar hair style at times so it could just be the Horokoshi's preference.

Ochaco Uraraka is related to Nana Shimura and Tenko Shimura/Tomura Shigaraki

This one is a theory I don't see much of as compared to others, but it makes sense why it isn't, especially after the reveal of how the Decay quirk actually came to be;

At least she still could be related to Nana, and these 2's interaction most likely going to result in a deadly game of tag is a mental image I can't unsee (they're both have a 5-pointer activation requirement).

I also saw it in a fic where Ochaco saw a photo of Nana and told Izuku she's related to her, and Izuku realises multiple times that there are more people he know that are related to one another than he thought.

the Midoriyas (more likely Inko's side, and by extension, Izuku) are related to Mirai Sasaki/Sir Nighteye

It annoyed me the way TBGO used Creek because Honestly I feel he does have legit potential for a good redemption story and still could in a future film given its separate cannon to the tv show.

assuming the movies stick to being their own cannon and don't merge with the Tv shows cannon in which case Creek has already been accepted back into the Village.

I feel him returning in a future main film and having a Redemption Arc could actually work

like imagine if in a future film Branch and Poppy maybe hear about some sorta Threat to the Village like maybe a new tribe of species who are dangerous marauders who they hear are heading in the direction of their village.

and will attack them in say a couple of days but of course Poppy wants to go and just see if she can find a peaceful solution with their leader

and obviously Branch would go with her but thing is they hear this info from a returning Creek.

who in this cannon hasn't been seen since the first movie and maybe its mentioned he survived the mountain creature at the end of the first movie by using his Hair to pull himself out of its mouth or something.

anyway obviously Branch is super sceptical about his story but Peppy does say that he has heard stories of the group Creek has told them about

so they are real and Poppy wants to go because she sees it as worth the Risk of if Creek is lying even tho he swears up and down he isn't.

anyway at the start of the Journey Both B and P are Hella mad and distrustful of him

and Creek while he does seem to want to build Bridges and says he's Remorseful for what he did at the same time he still Defends his actions a tad simply pointing out he didn't want to die just like the rest of them didn't.

but I'd have him and Branch eventually come to more of an understanding after he and Creek finally have a heart to heart later on in the story

it could start with them being out in the woods so Branch starts to build them all a shelter is about to give Creek instructions on what to do

only for Creek to already be doing it clearly showing he knows a fair bit of survival skills himself which Branch is surprised by

and questions him on it and Creek tells him that after Chef was killed he was stranded in the woods with no idea where he was

or how to get back home so he spent quite a lot of months on his own being forced to learn how to survive off of the land

and he admits to Branch he doesn't understand how he was able to live like that for so long?

spending so much time alone in the woods he started to feel more and more guilty over his life choices not just betraying them

but also just being a vain jerk to Branch and other less popular Trolls in the Village and of course he missed Poppy and his other friends like crazy.

he promised himself if he did by some miracle find his way back home he'd try to be better and he just thought this whole trip to help ward of an attack could maybe be a good start.

but after Branch feels a second of relatability to how isolated Creek felt Branch still Dismisses all of this somewhat and points out he sold them all out and Creek admits he's sorry but also Rather Honestly he simply admits he was fricking terrified.

he was literally inside a giant creatures mouth and was about to be eaten by something that didn't see him as a thinking feeling person

and just a bit of meat to give them pleasure he panicked like he'd never panicked before.

and when he got out of Gristle's mouth he desperately said he'd do anything to avoid going back in their and dying in such a gruesome and senseless way.

and after that he was stuffed in tiny locket for hours in the dark and besides Gristle briefly showing him off to Bridget for a split second

the next time he saw light was when Chef revealed him to all of them in the cage.

at which point he was in a hole and he just kept digging he was still terrified to die and tried to weakly justify it to himself that maybe it was better for Poppy and the others to die Rather than live with it.

tho he acknowledges himself it was just a load of crap he told himself to try and feel better

but anyway simply put he was about to be met with his worst nightmare and he caved in to his fear he was human he wasn't some pure evil monster like Poppy and Branch thought of him as

( or the Fandom for that matter lol )

Branch after hearing this kinda understands he spent most of his life terrified day to day and he himself nearly was forced Fed to Gristle by Chef ironically something he and Creek have in common

so he understands the fear better than anyone else in the Village could really as none of them came as close to death as the two of them did.

and after this he hasn't necessarily forgiven him per say but Branch is willing to give him a chance to show he's changed

and encourages Poppy to do the same tho she still holds onto her anger which could even lead to an argument

where Branch calls her out on her Hypocrisy as she normally believes in giving second chances to people except not when it comes to someone who actually wronged her personally

but she was more than encouraging for everyone else to forgive people who wronged them like Barb at the end of World Tour

and Brozone in TBT but when its someone who wronged her suddenly she's a lot more Hesitant and against it.

which I feel could actually be a Relatable interesting character flaw for Poppy to have and for her to be called out on.

it always seemed odd to me how in the Tv shows Poppy was more willing to forgive Creek while Branch wasn't when Poppy was close with him and thus felt more personally betrayed.

anyway that's basically the most important plot points I feel Creek has legit potential for Redemption if written properly given the circumstances around the first movie he was just as much a victim himself.

but TBGO annoyingly didn't really do much with his return other than a small Rivalry with Branch but I feel the main movies could do this right if they put in some effort

and he could easily be sympathetic and have a Redemption where he wants to Build Bridges with people in the Village without completely changing his character 100 percent

from the self centered kinda smug person he was as he was Basically just John Dory lets be Honest only diff is Creek didn't get a second chance due to not being Related to one of the main cast.

and frankly he's a lot more deserving of redemption than other past villains like Barb and Crimp given they did evil stuff for much worse reasons

( Barb simply was entitled and thought she should get to Decide which Genre would unite all other Tribes and Crimp was a coward who didn't wanna lose a pay check )

and did almost nothing to really Redeem themselves so why not my guy Creek? lol.

and he and Branch legit have some experiences they could Bond over as well so I'd really like to see that Happen.

Damian Wayne is absolutely trans

So much trans energy

So I propose Trans Fem Damian Wayne with they/she/he

Gender:

Gender is more some foggy but solid quality, but in there is some feminineness, hence them identifying with trans fem as a simple label she slapped on so that they didn't have to question longer since it didn't feel wrong.

Discovery:

I don't think he'd spend much time thinking about her transness. Only reason she discovers it being that her dysphoria gets really bad, so they embark on a secret quest to figure out what's bothering her so she can no longer be a potential liability especially if this thing gets worse. "This thing" being transness.

They come out to Dick by announcing she is neither girl nor boy and he shall respect that. Then struts out of the room to avoid conversation. Next time Dick sees Damian its while Dicks talking on the phone about Damian (for some unrelated things) uses they on the phone, notices dami, mutes himself, asks if that pronoun set is okay. Damian is like "tisk is it not obvious" and Dick asks if other people can know, and about damians name. Damian clears up that yes everyone can know (tho not the general public) and yes she's fine with their name.

Finding out he's trans fem is a different story that probably involves a late night conversation/confession/pondering of transness. I'm leaning with Tim.

Pronoun Elaboration:

Damian wouldn't put that much effort into pronouns. She ponders what pronouns they'd be okay with for thoroughness because obviously they can't leave their research half-done, but caring about pronouns is an additional grievance that others can use as a weapon and it'd be weak if something so insignificant others don't really care about became something that could be used to harm them.

I do think Damian would end up using she more as Damian and the people around him, get more used to seeing her as trans fem. Especially as they transition more visibly (btw when I say transition I mean all kinds of transition. Damian's transition is mainly social for a while but this applies for when he does medically transition too)

Dysphoria:

He doesn't really get social dysphoria, it's a lot more bottom dysphoria, physical dysphoria in general, and even the way she internally genders herself, but they do like being included in stuff like girls night and other groups/activities intended to be exclusive to girls. Damian doesn't really get how others (Like Jason who I also head cannons as trans) can be bothered by the wrong pronouns and stuff other than being a pride thing (Like it would mostly be for her).

Physical Transition:

Damians transition goals aren't really that physical. Maybe way farther in the future he might consider going on E but since that could decrease his physical possibilities they probably won't want it anytime soon. It might change depending on how canon goes for him. She figured out she was trans too late for puberty blockers, but he does want bottom surgery as soon as they discover transness. (Which isn't happening. I don't have an age yet for when this happens but they're not a teen yet). Damian as a teen goes through a phase of trying to build more lean/less bulky muscles but that ends somehow. The influence of muscly woman in her life and the general shattering of that traditional framework combined with Damian prioritizing what's needed for vigilantism.

Social Transition:

They tried wearing breast forms but some light hearted remark, embarrassment, and dysphoria led to them never trying it again. Damian doesn't want the general public to know, but everyone she deems as important enough to know personal info about him does. (Probably a pride thing and plus who wants the Gotham upper crust to rag on you *cough* what happened to Dick *cough*) Damian does give in (Begrudgingly they insist) to getting more traditionally feminine clothing and they definitely wear it. At first to kind of challenge the batfam, because really how far are they going to let him go? Surely they won't keep up with this when she wears a skirt? It's less out of any real desire for this to be in her wardrobe, but lo and behold it ended up mingling a bit with the rest of his fashion. They end up growing their hair out in a still short (The style only goes down halfway to his neck at the longest) but more androgynous haircut. Damian also employs the use of a plain dark green headband to "push back the longer hairs blocking her sight" even though he would never let his hair grow long enough to block her sight and really the hairband is for aesthetics sake more than functionality most of the time. The headband is a gift from Alfred.

Conclusion:

Holy shit I have so many trans batfam head cannons. Expect a part 2 to this probably

Okay I’m a Billy Hargrove fan willing to make a cross tag post [which turned into a 5 part series ] discussing how to treat and respect fans in the strangers things community. I’m hoping to showcase behavior we shouldn’t engage in when we see someone who likes a character who we dislike. I’m also hoping to start a respectful discussion to help anyone on tumblr who doesn’t understand Billy fans but wants to understand them.Let’s hope this doesn’t become overwhelming 😳

Don’t worry I also want to be respectful to those who don’t like Billy because you have ur reasons to not like his character and connect to fiction however you want to connect to fiction. I want to make things clear I’m not trying to make a moral condemnation of anyone who has engaged in the behavior I critic in this post. There are much bigger problems in the world but I’m so passionate about this one because I’m a person of color who connects to Billy’s story arc and the way some antis treat Billy fans is just cruel. Billy fans are real people who exist and their stories have real life consequences. Online harassment in fandom is not excusable because it is still harassment.

Assumptions and cruel judgments of Billy fans

In this Twitter post someone makes the assertion that being a Billy Hargrove fan is a red flag. I’m aware that this is not a tumblr user but I have seen some of this sentiment on tumblr. I will begin by criticizing this post because someone being a fan of a fictional character doesn’t make them and inherent threat to anybody’s personhood. I get that the person who posted this may even agree with what I just argued, that Billy fans aren’t a real life threat, but that’s not what is being communicated at all when someone reads this especially when a fan of Billy reads this. And if someone out there does believe this for one reason or another I’m going to continue to dispute your claim. Some Billy fans might engage in problematic behavior but to hold a layer of apprehension towards all fans of a character because of this might be something you need to reevaluate. Making a moral judgment on real human beings because they like a character is not okay especially if you don’t even know the reasoning.

Just because someone likes a character that might be a mass murderer in fiction doesn’t mean that now they support massacres, correct? Same logic applies here if someone does interpret Billy as racist but still likes his character that does not mean they think racism in the real world is okay ( or bullying, harassment, or anti feminism either) and that does not mean they can’t organize against real world problems effectively.

First things first not every who likes Billy ships Harringrove

As a Harringrove shipper I can only speak for myself and say I could give less of a fuck if Billy is “good” or “bad”. That’s doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to smash king Steve. That’s also doesn’t mean he can’t be queer and it doesn’t mean I can’t like the ship. And it doesn’t mean that I can’t connect to Billy on a disastrously queer level ( got that phrasing from a grade A post on this hell site)

Believing Billy can see the errors in his ways and can heal and become a “good” person… doesn’t have to be a byproduct of being a shipper. it can just be a read someone has of a character so “anon” no disrespect to ya but your thinking is wrong.

Okay this is gonna be lengthy

Fine some Billy fans ignore the shit he did… but that’s not inherently bad. Fans can headcannon Billy into a completely different portrayal than what we see on screen and love him I don’t see a problem with that especially when they aren’t excusing any abuse.

The Duffers brothers failed at exploring racism in their show if that was their intention. Point blank period since this is a form of art it can be interpreted in many different perspectives. Especially if it is not tied to any explicit themes on racism in the text. I interpret Billy’s actions as racist but no one has to do so if they connect to the story in a different manner. I felt the weight of Billy’s “ certain type of people” comment. However it was only and implication not a confirmation. Stop being mad at people for not interpreting something left up to interpretation.The writers didn’t explicitly tackle the issue they wanted to tackle.

This might be helpful 2 know …I interpret Billy as racist, I’m also black, I also Stan Billy Hargrove.

Okay here we go… no-one has to interpret Billy’s actions as being racist so why assume that if someone likes Billy it’s because they’re racist just like him… if they don’t even think he’s racist. I hope that makes sense

I think Billy is racist 4 sure the story flows better for me that way and it makes a lot of sense to me. Now let’s talk about racism in the real world … racism is something that is taught. Racism is a big large system we are all conditioned into. Racism is something we must all unlearn in the real world. So in the fictional world I think there is an entertaining plot line that Billy can go down and unlearn his racism +stop beating up on children Billy 🤦🏿‍♀️. Because I see that potential growth that is why I like his character. Oh and no one ever talks about this but I head cannon Billy as fat phobic because of the “lard- ass” comment so my version of Billy is working through that as well.

I don’t wanna sound all high and mighty I can understand why someone might express this sentiment. I’m not gonna demonize someone who is black like me (black people have dealt with that enough). I also get why you would not even like Billy if you interpret him as racist. [Someone could have the same analysis of Billy as me and still not like him because how we connect to fiction is somewhat irrational.] I would just ask that we don’t jump to conclusions about anyone’s politics because of how they like a fictional character. That we treat other members in our fandom with respect.

I can never and will never excuse racism because if I do I would be turning a blind eye on a system that kills my loved ones. Your allowed to not like Billy Hargrove honestly I don’t see any Billy fans who care? Stop making crude assumptions about people who do Stan Billy Hargrove ur “ joke” is a hurtful misrepresentation.

It was horrifically unfair that Malik’s other half should be doomed to an eternity in shadows when the other spirits had been given another chance. He’d done nothing worse than them. Arguably, he had been the best behaved of the lot, given his situation. Atem may have come a long way, but Ryou had heard the stories. He burned people just for the hell of it, in those early days. And Bakura may have had his reasons, but ending the whole world was excessive. And yet still they had been given the chance to grow, and change, and eventually to live again.

Malik’s other half hadn’t even had the chance to pick out a name.

The thought brought a barely-repressed sob to his throat as it brought up memories of sitting around in the dark corners of the blimp, tossing potential names back and forth like badly-aimed ping pong balls. Ryou remembered watching in fascination as a myriad of emotions flittered across his companion’s face with each new suggestion. Disgust, amusement, anger – and even something that threatened to be a sort of quiet contentment, which would flicker away as fast as it appeared.

Maybe Malik’s shadow hadn’t done much that would be considered ‘good’ in his time, but Ryou had seen the tantalizing glimmers of the man he could be, and damn it, he at least deserved a chance.

And if the gods weren’t going to do it themselves, then Ryou was well and truly prepared to force the issue.

The flung the carving blade away to clatter into a corner of the room, forgotten, and wrenched open his bag. He yanked out the millennium ring and stared it down, as though the force of his glare alone would make it to perform the miracle he was about to demand of it.

Bakura and Atem had reappeared with copies of their items when they were pushed out of the shadows. The items had promptly been declared inert. Magically meaningless - albeit a nice aesthetic callback to their lives from Before. And maybe that’s really all they were, but they were also all Ryou had access to. The original items – including the rod – were far out of reach. The two shiny replicas were the closest thing he had to something that connected directly to the shadows.

And so he’d stolen the ring. It seemed the appropriate thing to do, anyways.

He gripped the outer edges of the gold so tightly his knuckles shone white in the low light. He pressed it hard to his forehead and hissed to the eye in its centre. “So help me, copy or not, you will do ONE good thing in your miserable existence, and this is it.”

He held it out, trying to ignore the trembling of his fingers. He had no time to give up to grief or rage just yet. He leaned forward and set the ring firmly in the centre of the circle with both hands, pressing it down into the stone as his hair brushed along its edges, making a curtain to keep his whispered words only his own. “Bring him back to me.”

With that, Ryou leaned back, used a waiting blade to slash a cut across his unscarred palm, and smacked it down to complete the circle.

This had to work.

In the first breathless seconds, nothing happened but a swirl of memories and the slow tickle of tears trailing down his cheeks. His breath hitched. “Give him back.” He thought back to quiet secret nights of whispered stories, of shared laughter over a brand of humour no one ever before had found funny, of the heady feeling of finally being understood, and the shared awkwardness of not knowing at all what to do with the sensation. “Please.” He closed his eyes against more tears, clinging hard to the feeling of desperate hope that had found him when the shadows first opened up to release their captives, and not the crushing disappointment that had forced the feeling out when only two had emerged.

The circle remained lifeless.

His sob echoed off the walls as he wrapped his arms around his middle and clenched his cut hand into a fist, heedless of the pain as his wound ripped open further. It wasn’t fair. Why didn’t he get to keep someone precious? What made him so underserving of that small courtesy? With a wordless yell, lifted his bloody palm and smacked it wetly down on the stone with all the force of his frustration and pain.

The spell flared to life. The shock of it was surely the only thing that kept Ryou’s hand in place as the circle burned to life, pure white and blindingly, painfully bright. And just like that, it was done. Ryou blinked the stars from his eyes and tried to bring the room back into focus. There was a rustle of material in front of him, and he blinked harder until a slouched form emerged from the haze in his vision.

Ryou’s voice cracked when he first opened his mouth, but he forced the words out of his tight throat anyways. “Is that you?”

There was a long pause as the room slowly swam back into focus. “…Ryou?”

Ryou launched himself forward, flinging his arms around the body in front of him as a fresh wave of tears burst forth. The body was warm and solid and real in his grip, and he sobbed when he felt arms circle his frame to hold him back just as tightly. “Ryou? What happened? How the fuck am I here?”

Ryou buried his face into the warm shoulder and laced his fingers through the wild hair he thought had been stolen away forever. “Because you have to be.”

After a beat of silence, he felt his companion nod, and cup a hand around the back of Ryou’s head to tuck him more firmly into his hold as his tears slowly drained away. “Ok.” He settled back and buried his face into Ryou’s hair. “I can do that.”

Character explanations/ mini story under the cut

So after watching Rise of the Guardians (one of my fav animated movies) I got the idea for an AU where the egos are like the Guardians of the JSE community.

Their designs are based off/ inspired by the characters in the movie but instead of just drawing the egos as those characters, I more so let them inspire re-creations of their outfits/ powers

Chase: Jack Frost- Guardian of Family

In the beginning he doesn’t see himself as a guardian. He’s a screw up, a washout. But even through his depression he tries to make others happy before himself. He does this by having fun and trying to get those in the community to join in with him! It’s later on that he realizes he has a part to play and that his is making sure everyone is still together as one big community. He’s here to remind us that in troubling times that we all have each other- that we’re all family.

JBM: Santa- Guardian of Hope

Being the super hero of the group, it’s JBM’s job to protect the innocent and give off the appearance of being something people can depend upon- someone who can protect everyone from danger. He helps the community become strong and makes them laugh along the way (even if he has to make a fool of himself to do it, he loves our smiles)- he gives them hope.

Marvin: Tooth Fairy- Guardian of Creativity (Sams: small Tooth Fairies)

Much like tooth fairy in the movie, it’s Marvin’s job to collect fanart/ fanworks and store them so when the community forgets all that they have built together, he shows them. Not only that, he inspires the content creators and represents their passion for their art. And it’s what he protects. (Along with the help of the little Sams who are the ones who actually collects and re-distributes it so everyone can see what they’ve made.)

Jameson: Sandman- Guardian of Positivity

Arguably one of the most important guardians of the community, JJ is there to remind people the importance of PMA. In his own quiet ways, he encourages the members to think on the bright side- or is just there to give hugs and be there for them. Whenever someone is in such a dark place, he uses his powers to show them that they still have so much potential and that they’re not alone. He give them a light in a dark place to hold onto. (Yes, he uses sign language AND the sand symbols for those who don’t understand sign)

Schneep: Bunny- Guardian of Health

Being the good doctor of the group, he’s there to remind the community to take care of themselves. Yes he may be a lil aggressive in the way he gives out advice, but for a lot of people they need their butts a little kicks to get them moving to help themselves. But not only physical health, he’s also willing to sit down and talk about mental health and analyze what the problem is/ works to help you understand how to improve yourself.

Anti: The Boogieman- “Guardian” of Fear and Chaos

And last but not least, our dear little firestarter. For so LONG he’s waited, waited to be in the spotlight. Before the other egos show up it was just him and it was delicious. He had so much power as he fed off of our fears, insecurities, and of course the headcanons and theories we made about him. But then Jack HAD to make more egos and fill the community with positivity and light. So he sunk back and waited for his opportunity- he waited for his powers to grow strong in the background. And with all of the hints being dropped and community fueling the fire in a continuous positive feedback loop, he gains more and more strength every day. He reminds the community not everything is peachy and rosy. That there are awful things in the world and how you’re just a tiny ripple in a storming ocean. Insignificant. He doesn’t want to stamp out the community- that would be counterproductive. No he just wants them to feel fear for the channel- that nothing is safe anymore- at any turn he could be there. And with that everything always comes back to him.

And sooner or later, the others will fade away...

Extra Headcanons/ Tidbits:

Before they were all guardians they were other people. (TW: death and suicide mentions) -Anti was a reckless criminal and one night his “friends” betrayed him, leaving him behind which wound up being the end of him. They were running from the police and were trying to jump a tall fence when his comrades left the struggling man behind to take the fall. He did in more ways than one. -JBM was just a regular dude, but he sacrificed himself to save a kid getting hit by a bus in the city. Even though he was about to die he kept asking if the kid was okay. The medics told him he saved them and that’s all he needed to hear. -Marvin was a street magician in his time. He did tricks to cheer up people sitting on the sidewalk/ sitting alone and talked to them about their passions. Later the same people would come back and tell him about the new job they got or the current project they were working on. He pulled a teen off the side of a bridge and a local cop mistook it for him attacking her and.. well.. things escalated quickly -Henrik was an upstanding surgeon. He saved lives every day in his career. Even though his wife and child left him, he worked every day to become a better doctor and continued to save people. And after the surgeries he would personally counsel the patients to make sure they were okay physically and mentally. But one day.. they didn’t have a matching organ for the patient on standby.. and he knew he matched the credentials. -Jameson was a small movie star in his time. And when he wasn’t filming he went down in quiet to lift the spirits of homeless children and teens. He would put on small performances and then go around to each of them and comfort them if they said it was okay. He made sure by the end of his visit they were all in high spirit. But one day the filming studio caught fire. The smoke damaged his lungs so he couldn’t call out before the building collapsed. -And Chase... He had a loving wife and two kids who he cared for with his life. He vowed to himself to protect them, even though his wife turned into a bitch as the years went on. One night they were walking home from a day at the amusement park and Chase got jumped with his kids nearby. The criminal threatened to kill the kids if Chase didn’t comply. So to protect them, he did as the criminal said, handing over his wallet and watch and phone. And when the criminal was about to kill one of them anyway, instinct took over and Chase knocked the man down and knocked him out- but when he fell the gun went off

The lights on the globe are the septiclights, each one representing a person in the community

Instead of holidays, the guardians help in the background of charity livestreams and videos to give them that little extra spark.

Sean is the equivalent of the Man in the Moon

The extra fan-made egos (like Robbie, Shawn, Angus, and Bing) are still around, they just aren’t the big guardians.

If they were tho... Robbie- Guardian of Innocence, Shawn- Guardian of Voice, Angus- Guardian of... idk, Protection? Or maybe head cannons lol, Bing- Guardian of Online Connections

When too much of the community becomes afraid/ depressed, the guardian’s form changes (like in the movie) before they disappear -JBM: Becomes weaker, probably needs his glasses to see again, basically turned into a comicbook nerd -Marvin: Loses a lot of his color, magic goes away, turns into a cat? -Henrik: Hands continuously shake, gains a stutter so people can hardly understand him, becomes super paranoid/ closed off -JJ: His colors fade to black and white, it’s really hard to summon his powers, always about to cry/ wants to scream -Chase: Goes into a low state of depression, isolates himself a lot -Anti: His bravado diminishes- basically turns into an edgy teen with spasms instead of actual glitches, wound on his neck closes.

Like in the movie there’s a point where Anti takes over (like right now) and everyone’s powers start to fade

To make this angsty(er) he manages to kill JJ and he disappears, along with the light of positivity in the community.

Chase blames himself for not being fast enough to save him

To turn thing around Henrik suggests a charity livestream to promote a mental health organization. So they all work together to prep

A fan is talking to a Sam plushie, saying that yeah they understand why the stream COULD have been cancelled.. but everything in their life is just so dark they were really looking forward to it.

All the egos fight Anti with the help of a few community members beside them- giving them power to fight back.

For the bingo: Naoto

Nearly a bingo but not quite!

It's been a long time since I played p4 and my memory isn't very good so I unfortunately don't remember too much in regards of specifics to his character. I do have a lot to say abt him tho so I'll try and break down my reasonings for things a bit so I'm not typing this out for like hours afjstksgk (also doing this on mobile so sorry if some of the formatting comes out as weird)

Done dirty by fans/creators, wasted potential, everyone but me is wrong about them <3, and wasp nest.

Naoto is known to be a controversial character, obviously because of his gender. I personally head cannon him as a trans man because that's how I interpreted his whole character arc (mainly referring to story wise, I never finished his social link). Also, in my opinion I think that they were trying to actual trans rep but didn't want to fully commit to it so they do the whole "psyche I think I wanna be a woman after all!' thing after he confronts his shadow. But like the whole point of the shadows is that they're parts of you that you perceive as ugly and unwanted but are still *you* and that you should embrace it instead of ignoring it or pretending it's not there.

They do this for Kanji too and it's so irritating. I won't derail this post by talking about the specifics but what they also do for both of them is that after they join the group, the writers *immediately* forget about the entire arc they just went through. Like for Kanji (derailing even tho I said I wouldn't sorry), his entire deal is him confronting the toxic masculinity that's been proposed onto him and embracing his true self that likes more "feminine" things and has expressed canonic attraction to men. Then, the immediate next event related thing is the camping trip. Where Yosuke feels uncomfortable because Kanji is in the same tent as him because he "doesn't want him to try anything" and this escalates to the point to where Kanji feels pressured enough to sneak into the girl's tent to prove how macho he is and how much he totally loves women (not saying the possibility of being bi is impossible here, the game just frames it in a very "one or the other" type way so that's why I'm talking about it like this) like this concept wasn't the entirety of what made Kanji so conflicted and insecure about his identity in the first place. Also back in terms of the "one or the other" thing in regards to his sexuality, they do the whole nose bleed thing for him with the girls in their bathing suits the next day (which isn't like him at all, also can't you tell I hated the camping trip :) ). And also once Naoto is "revealed" as a girl the writers kinda amplify his attraction where before it was implied but more lowkey. It feels like the writers just completely copped out and didn't want to commit to what they were doing.

Then for Naoto (I'm sorry I don't remember too much about his shadow so I'll only talk about what I for sure remember), the entire fucking place he's in is a "secret base" and at the end he is wanting to go through a "special operation". These heavily come off as metaphors for being closeted and undergoing top surgery respectively. He wants to be taken seriously as a detective and as a person and worries that both being a child and being

help I accidentally hit enter and it's not letting me fix it for some reason (assigned as) a woman (at birth) are holding him back (also he actively expresses that he wants to be a man and likes being treated as a man as opposed to a woman). Then not long after this, the group has physicals done and there is *immediate* attention brought to Naoto's chest measurements. Then at the school festival, he is forcibly entered into a female beauty pageant he does not want to take part in and multiple members of the group express desire in seeing what he looks like in a bathing suit (not 100% sure if they say "bikini" but I believe it is heavily implied) with emphasis on the chest. Also, I haven't seen it myself but have heard that if you decide to date Naoto that you kinda can force him into the mindset of being more feminine and "embracing his true female identity" (apparently a dialogue option can also affect if he wears his normal uniform or something more feminine (I forget what, I think it's a female uniform maybe?) to a festival). The whole thing with what I just pointed out is that the writers aren't taking Naoto seriously as a character here, he's just being used for fan service and being focused on as a woman which is something he actively doesn't want to be perceived as (also the heavy implications on boobs for a 15-16 year old is a bit 😬 but this is the persona series we're talking about so unfortunately nothing new).

The part with the fan base stuff is because in terms of the persona fandom as a whole, the trans man Naoto head cannon tends to be pretty looked down upon. A lot of people say that people who feel that way about his character "didn't read the story" which is very frustrating because I very much did, I just hated it because the writers didn't truly want to commit to making this character a trans man. He is heavily trans coded, this is inarguable (need I mention the top surgery again). And I do acknowledge that Naoto is canonically portrayed as female (I hate it </3). However this viewpoint is still looked down upon because some people don't really think critically in regards to persona's writing and just view it as if it were the word of god and that nothing from a persona game can ever be disliked or criticized. I love this series from the bottom of my heart, it's been a hyper fixation for years, I will however, criticize it until the day I die <3 (and do so because I love it)

what's wrong with them (affectionate)

This is mainly just referring to how he takes everything so seriously all the time. I think it's really funny arusutsitstk. I haven't seen the p4 anime but my favorite clip that I've seen is the valentines one where it shows Yu asking everyone out and then when it's Naoto's turn he's just like "this man is plotting to murder me" pls it's so funny 😭😭 also the way he always texts in all caps is hilarious

I like them but don't think about them much

I know... I should revoke my "trans Naoto stan" title for this </3 but this kinda applies to all the p4 characters for me unless if I'm currently like playing the game or something reminds me of it. I'm just not as fixated on that cast as I am abt p5's. I do think I may be more passionate abt some p4 characters sometimes tho (esp Naoto, Kanji, and Yosuke) due to wasted potential and just shitty copout writing. I also don't really have many persona friends who agree with how I feel about his character so I try not to bring him up often or keep the topic off of him </3

ive been cranky lately because of work and real life bullshit (i don’t know why i thought the housemate moving out would be any less dramatic than living with her for 6mo), so here’s some ideas i’m kicking around about what my shepard does after the war

what my shep does IMMEDIATELY after the war i am leaving up to covering in my fic and i won’t get into details bc there are some spoilers and shit i haven’t posted yet

so many years in the future, maybe in a decade or two: i dont know if i see shep 'retiring' so much as just choosing to decommission as an active officer. maybe her leg gets too irritating to handle or her migraines get worse or she just gets fucking tired or she realizes that one of garrus’s biggest fears is of him receiving a death notification and her dogtags in the mail, or a combination of all four.

but the alliance prob still keeps her as an advisor or senior member for possibly a few things, the preference of which i have not entire hashed out. she is para-centric in terms of morality and ideals, which doesn’t change as she gets older, but -gade in terms of drive and occasional ruthlessness within her job, which always has the potential to harm both herself and others. i think her attitude gets a little more manageable once she works out a new schedule and healthier job for herself. i’m thinking something like a liason for interspecies cooperation, or overseeing general of certain territories, or senior intel strategist, etc etc., something that keeps her away from active combat but still engaged in it, with her fingers in a lot of pies. so i think she'd be doing is “”deskwork”” but work that mostly requires cooperation and strategical planning at a very high level that she could do from the citadel or wherever.

then also, because she doesn't know how to take a fucking break, i see lyd admitting this with much embarrassment and discomfort but with TOTAL support from garrus: she kinda comes up and says “uhhh, also btw you should know i've been discussing with the university of thessia/oxford/sur'keh/etc about master's/phd programs" and g looks up from his briefings from the primarch like "what? you want to go back to school?” and shep is like, still mortified abt this as an adult but determined to act like it’s nbd, but now that she has Free Time she wants to check something off her list, which is: attend a formal school and gain a diploma. and not the damn remedial studies courses she took back in the alliance just so she could be taken off probation. and g is like “huh, well you know i support you, what are you gonna study?" and she's like "probably law, criminal justice, political theory, turian history and maybe interspecies language theory -- ” and she rattles off a bunch of things that nobody can ever possibly do all together, and garrus is kinda trying to wrap his head around the fact that it now sounds like his gf wants to become a lawyer or dump him to go become a xenoanthropologist with liara. and then she says “well look war cleanup is going to last the rest of our lives, we both know i can’t stay out of it. and because nobody takes me fucking seriously when i give advice on this stuff based on what i’ve observed with my own two eyes of this inefficient government system, i need a degree, or like, ten" and g is like “so ur going into politics" and she's like “FUCK no i would never" but she gets to work anyway.

working a full time job and doing classes w private tutors and profs g is like “ok i give up, you’re not going into politics or law? shit you’re not going to c-sec are u?” and she's like “no.......... but i will be making all of this as publicly accessible as possible” and this is basically just part of her movement to start making galactic govts more accountable for their actions and help inform the ppl of what's going on, in both legal and literal terms as they rebuild, and shep is adamant that the same problems that let saren run around loose and unevaluated, the hand-waving that allowed colonists to go missing for years, prejudice that led to one species threatening to not participate in a galactic total war just because a commander didn’t give into their command to allow an ongoing genocide to continue, yeah, that shit can’t keep going on. not just bc she feels like the govt failed them in the war, but bc of all the ways it failed the marginalized species and forgotten civilians, the blind spots, the corruption, etc, which she damn well knows abt bc she was a victim to this exact system as a kid. so she wants it, she wants it so bad, and it’ll never get done in her life time, but that’s ok, if she’s known for anything let it be for this too

meanwhile when garrus is too old to serve as commander of citadel defense he probably becomes like a military or political correspondent for citadel news network while also training young hierarchy engineers in ballistics and programming, and he’s known for being That eccentric instructor who you’re pretty sure pulls at least half of his “war stories” out of his ass, and he gives a different story to explain why half his face looked like it was eaten by varren every time he’s asked (”a maw got in a good hit of acid before i filled it full of cannon fire” “i overloaded a geth prime so hard its head is still embedded in the station ceiling, and then it dropped the rocket launcher it was holding which fired right into my face”) and for all that he loves to brag about cool shit he did, he still won’t answer if he and general shepard secretly eloped years ago because he still calls her his “girlfriend” but always winks when he does????

other ideas: with all the rebuilding, assuming for this post this is on the citadel but could be wherever, architects come to shep like “hey we have this empty space that used to be a department store, after it was ruined by the blast, now it's totally gutted and we want to put like a museum of your life there” or sth equally obnoxious and shep is like “........why. why on earth would u do that. make it a library you assholes” so they name the library after her instead. which she’s like good, that’s practical and will actually help people, here’s my seal of approval, and she doesn’t admit she's super touched they really did that bc when she was a kid she used to hide out in libraries and read all day till closing. and the librarians were nice and she'd feel normal, like she was learning even tho she dropped out of school at age 13. so i think that would be non-negotiable for her, like “i cant prevent you from making a dumbass statue but if you're asking my opinion on how to use five thousand square ft, you're going to make educational and free-access, or you're not putting my name on it"

Nothing is ever truly safe. Though you can reduce potential troubles by being cautious, open-minded, and by using your brain.

How can I improve X magic skill/How do I git gud?

Do it. Do it a lot, at least 30 times. Yes, counting does help. While aid such as meditation, enchantments, etc may make skills easier to learn, they still don't replace actually doing the work. Also, read up on the concept of deliberate practice, and try to use it.

This spirit was scary! Is it a demon (as in the actual spirit species demon and not demon as in ‘evil spirit’)?

“This spirit was scary/malicious/hurt my feelings” is not a legitimate reason to jump to the conclusion that the spirit you encountered is of the demonic species.

I’m having issues with a malicious spirit. (Insert long story). What should I do? 

Banish, cleanse and protect. The answer will always boil down to this.

What does UPG/SPG/VPG mean?

UPG: “Unverified Personal Gnosis”. Magical knowledge of a single person with little to no backing in widely accepted lore considered cannon. Very common for entities that are unrecorded in lore, such as Lowborn Demons.

SPG: “Shared Personal Gnosis”: Magical knowledge that is shared between many people, but still has no backing in widely accepted lore. Again, common for unrecorded entities.

VPG: “Verified Personal Gnosis”: Magical knowledge that is shared but also backed time and time again in lore. These are the closest things to “truth” you will get.  Example: Juno is a Roman Goddess who ruled over mothers, marriage, and money of the state. Example 2: European fae usually have bad reactions to metal.

Note 1: Some people use “gnosis” as meaning SOOOOPER special knowledge that fundamentally changes your entire craft/perception. Others mean it as general magical knowledge, like I did above.  

Note 2:  Just because something is in a book doesn’t mean it’s automatically verified. Most books are simply UPG/SPG that someone wrote down. Time + very high amounts of SPG are what lead to something becoming VPG.

Note 3: Just because something is UPG, doesn’t mean it’s inherently false.

How do I get started in (magic, spirit work, energy work, witchcraft, etc)?

Research, find out what you like, then do it to find out if you like it. If you like it, keep doing it. I’m not going to answer broad questions like this because the answer will always be the same.

What do you use for bibliomancy/random quotes divination?

I use this.

How did you remember your past lives?

I remembered by doing a gigantic past life reading (about 30 cards), meditating on them a bit, and then doing activities similar to the ones in my memories. Because one past life played video games, playing video games in this life helped bring up a ton of memories. I call “doing things similar to things in that life” the “association” method.

What should you do with food offerings to spirits? Do I have to wait for it to spoil before I can dispose of the offering?

Usually just let it sit around for 5-20 minutes, as long as its enough time for the spirit to eat the energies. You definitely don’t have to wait for it to spoil.

Some people dump it onto the dirt/bury it (called a libation I believe?), some eat it (some spirits are okay with that and others are not tho, so u best ask), some just throw it out.

Can you tell me about/do you know anything about (insert demon name)?

Unless they are Prince Gaap or Duke Crocell, assume that I know very little about them. If you want to ask about Gaap or Crocell, please use their names and not their numbers.

How do I practice magic secretly/in my own house without being found out?

I refuse to give advice on this since it’s illegal to give “religious advice” to minors without parental permission in the United States. Sorry, since I use this blog to make money on the side a bit, I would rather not have ways for potential lawsuits open. 

What demons are good for beginners?

Lowborns, because for the most part they are exactly like us but even nicer in their daily lives. Other than that there is no way to gauge what is good for a “beginner”, as “beginners” vary a lot in what they feel ready for/what they think they may be able to handle.

However, I advise against Goetics (demons from the Ars Goetia/Lesser Key of Solomon) as many have a bad reputation for becoming manipulative/abusive, as in A MUCH HIGHER RATE THAN WITH ANY OTHER KIND OF ENTITIES. Also, Gaap and Crocell have straight up told me that they do not enjoy beginners.

How do I start work with demons?

1) Pick what kind of demon you want to work with, there’s tons of companion shops who can match you with safER ones. If you reaallly want to work with Hellborns that badly, try for hellborns that live in the above-ground version of Hell: the above-ground Hell is much, MUCH nicer than the underground portions (where many of the Goetic demons reside) . MoonSpiritBoutique is the only companion shop I can recommend and still have a clean conscience.

Protection FAQ

Why is magic protection so highly recommended for magic users? What is the point? And what can they realistically do for you?

It can help protect you if a spell you cast backfires for any reason.

It can help protect you from other magic-users’ curses.

It can help protect you from spirits, which notice people who use magic much more than non-magic people.

It can help protect you from mundane issues, such as dissuade car crashes, creeps, etc.

Note that I say HELP protect because while protection magic can decrease the likeliness of unwanted scenarios, it is almost never a 100% guarantee for safety.

When do I need to protect?

It is HIGHLY recommended to have protections at all times, no matter what sort of magical work you are doing. Protection magic rarely if ever backfires, and can protect you from your own spells backfiring and other things.

For spirit work, you ALWAYS need to have protections up. Because of course, bad spirits, yadda yadda.

For energy work (especially healing), you ALWAYS need to have protections up. Because maybe a person’s energy is toxic/incompatible to you for whatever reason. Also someone you’re healing may be carrying a parasite, which can just jump from the person you are healing to you, if you do not have protections.

For any sort of magical work, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. As again, it protects from others’ curses, and can protect you from your own spells backfiring.

What exactly am I protecting? (house/self/other) What can I protect/protect against?

You could attempt to protect everything and anything, against anything and everything. However, casting a protection spell for everyone is just not realistic.

Some common things to protect are (NOT LIMITED TO THIS LIST):

Yourself (Against magical harm, against physical danger,against illness)

Your home (Against robbery, against fires/other damage)

Your pets (against physical/magical harm)

Your car (against car crashes, against your own clumsiness)

What is a ward? What is shielding?

I define a ward as a protective wall of energy. It can be over your house, over a room, anything, including yourself. Though some people call wards on their person “shielding”.

How do I set up magic protections? (Including wards).

How to make a ward through visualization: Imagine a protective wall of energy made out of whatever elements you want. So fire, water, void, whatever.

How to make a ward/other magical protections with materials:

1. Light the incense/candle, lay the satchet of herbs out, whatever

2. Say something/hold a thought in your mind that hints at protective intent. Example: As I light this candle, it forms a protective ring around me/my space.

I mean, I guess. You’re probably going to do a LOT of banishing though, since anything can waltz right in. Might be a good way to practice for the more daring, but not recommended.

I cannot find a protection spell that works for my situation.

Write your own, and/or keep looking.

I have heard protection can keep out good spirits, is that true?

It can be true, if your protections are not selective enough. Selectivity is the ability of a protection to differentiate between good and bad; so you must create a ward with decent selectivity. To do this, I recommend having a list of EVERYTHING that you specifically allow through your wards, and everything you can think of that you do not want coming through your wards. Then, create your wards with that list in mind.

This will not be an issue for wards/other protections with good selectivity.

Don’t even ask that.

When do I know it’s time to upgrade my protections?

If, DESPITE your protections:

entities are breaking in often

You are hit by curses/other mal-intent

When healing others, you keep picking up their negative energy/parasites

You feel like it.

How do I protect an apartment when I have no access to land to bury a witch jar?

Keep the jar in your house. You do not need to bury a jar to protect your living space.

ALSO, burying a jar is LITTERING. Bury it in something biodegradable instead, like a coconut, big leaf for example. Make sure what is in the coconut/leaf/etc is biodegradable as well.

What does energy feel like?

It just…feels like energy. Energy, in a way, is a catch-all term. There really isn’t a way to describe the whole of energy; sure, you can describe parts of it, like the texture, color, or scent.

Does everything have energy? Even inanimate things like paper, crystal?

Yes everything has energy- science says so too because you know, potential and kinetic energy- though that’s not the only parts of energy you can sense.

Are there any energies that are better for beginners to start with while sensing?

I wouldn’t say so, I believe it’s best to do it wherever and whenever you can. There’s no place or energies that are better than any other to sense

How do I sense energy?

This is the tl;dr version but honestly there is not much more to sensing energy than this. It is genuinely simple

1. Ask yourself, “What does the energy of (insert thing here) feel like?”

2. Use your gut/intuition and pay attention to whatever comes to mind.

3. Practice.

How do I send energy?

This is the tl;dr version but honestly there is not much more to sending energy than this. It is genuinely simple. You do not need to be able to see energy with your physical eyes or third eye to be able to send energy.

1. Focus on your target or a representation of your target.

2. Imagine energy flowing from you/your energy source to your target. You do not need to be able to see energy with your physical eyes or third eye to be able to send energy.

What kind of exercises can I do to strengthen my energy sensing skills? How can I practice?

Basically just try to sense energy everywhere; try to feel the energy of a certain object, try to feel the energy of a certain room. Then describe it; and try to be specific in your descriptions. At first you might just be like “the room feels nice”, but as you keep trying to grind for detail it will turn into “the room feels nice because of the plant energies and generally calm and warm emotions of the owner of this bedroom”. So basically just try and practice anywhere, everywhere! You don’t need any specific tools/items to do this which is why u can practice anywhere.

But how do I know I’m right? How can I verify that’s what the actual energies are and not something I’m just thinking is there because I want it to be?

Your gut, practice, and possibly input by other people/spirits. There’s no way to scientifically/empirically verify that whatever you sensed was right. You’re just going to have to be confident in yourself.

What is grounding? When should I ground? And how do I ground?

Grounding is an energetic exercise that can help balance and cleanse your own energies. This is only one version of “grounding”; grounding is sometimes used as a catch-all term to bring yourself back to reality, out of magical feelings. You can ground before/after a magical working, and whenever you want.

1. Sit or lie down somewhere

2. Imagine roots extending from your back down into the ground

3. Imagine those roots absorbing energy from the ground and giving it to you, and/or have a second root branch that gives your negative/unnecessary energy back to the earth.

4. Do as long as you want.

A few Not-Energetic Exercise forms of grounding, to bring you back to reality, are:

Eating food

Going for a walk outside

Playing video games

Talking to others about mundane topics

It is not limited to these few, these are just a few examples. Anything where yu are focusing on the mundane/physical reality an be considered the not-energetic exercise form of grounding.

What is centering? When should I center? How do I center?

Centering is the act of gathering your lost/scattered energy. It can also be used to raise/store energy for a magical working. Center whenever you want and/or before a magical working.

Even if you believe the cause is spiritual/magical in nature, it could never hurt to get yourself checked out through a mundane method.

Do I need to be born with the ability to heal?

No??? Not at all.

Do you have to have a certain personality to be able to heal?

Not at all, no.

Can some people heal easier than others?

Yes, the ones that practice healing more will have an easier time performing healings.

How do I become a healer?

2. Go cast healing spells/do healing energy work.

How long do I have to practice healing before I can consider myself a healer?

There is no minimum length of time you have to practice healing. You could call yourself a healer as soon as you cast your first healing spell. In my opinion, it is more about the intent/willingness to heal others that makes you a healer, than the length of time.

Can I do healings on animals?

Yep!

Can I do healings on myself?

Yes, absolutely. When you get a bruise, does someone have to swoop in and heal it? No, your body repairs itself. Same applies to magic; you are perfectly capable of healing yourself magically.

Is it safe to try healing someone else?

Yes, as long as use your own caution, common sense, and communicate with the healing recipient, it will be. For minimum safety guidelines I suggest you ward and cleanse beforehand (yourself and the person you are healing/have them cleanse themself), and cleanse yourself again afterwards.

Can you heal spirits/entities?

Yes, though energy bodies will vary more than on Earth, so you will have to be more cautious.

Will it be alright to be a healer if I have issues myself?

As long as those issues don’t interfere with the actual sending of healing energy, and you cleanse yourself before and afterwards and ward , you should be fine.

What types of energies are used in healing?

You can use whatever energies you want. Some people use white light, others like one of the four traditional elements (water, earth, fire, air); all types of energies can be used for healing. However, I recommend asking the recipient what types of energies work best with them, and what energies do not , or harm them. Energies that work best with the recipient are absorbed more easily and thus can usually heal more effectively. Energies that they do not work well with, however, can actually do harm, thus defeating the point of the healing.

What preparations should be done before healing?

These are not 100% necessary, but I highly recommend them for maximum safety: Cleanse whomever you’re cleaning/have them cleanse themself, cleanse yourself, ward yourself/your connections/link against possible parasites/the recipient’s negative energy. You may also want to gather energy, possibly through grounding and/or centering beforehand. Again, none of these are strict requirements but everything in the first sentence is highly recommended for maximum safety and ease of healing process.

How can you find beings to practice healing on?

Ask your friends/people you know well

Offer your healing services on tumblr. And do ask that people leave reviews, so that you are able to learn.

What do you know about Reiki?

I know that it is a type of healing energy work, using the energy of the Universe. It was founded by Usui, and you need an attunement to be able to send reiki energy. I do not use Reiki so I am no expert on it, however Duskenpath has resources on it and offers reiki healing (though check that her healing services are open first).

How does healing physical ailments versus mental versus emotional ailments work?

Physical ailments: The person should REALLY REALLY go to the doctor first. If the origin is mundane in nature, healing magic will be absolutely ineffective unless the person is already receiving physical treatment for their physical issue. For physical ailments, healing magic can do nothing but cover up the symptoms until the person receives mundane treatment for their mundane physical issue.

Physical ailments are tied to the physical body first and foremost, and the energetic system second, IF they actually show up in the energetic system. That’s right- a physical ailment might not even show up in someone’s energy system because of that fact. This is why I stress so, so hard to go to the doctor for physical ailments.

While miracles are possible, they are few and far between, hence the term, “miracles”. If you want to use magic for physical healing, rather than trying to put healing energies on the physical wound, it would be more effective to cast spells that encourage going to the doctor, such as summoning a trip to the doctor, or a spell to make the trip to the doc smoother/more effective. Of course, be sure to actually schedule an appointment and go.

Mental: Same as above, please go to the doctor/psychiatrist first if the issue is severe. Many mental illnesses are due to chemical imbalances in the brain, and thus cannot be effectively treated with magic alone.

Emotional: Again if your issue is severe, please please go to a doctor/psychiatrist first. However, being slightly more often non-physical in origin, these issues are more likely to show up in someone’s energetic system. An emotional issue can show up in nearly all points or energetic flowpaths.

Astrally, is it possible to use healing to replace lost limbs?

Yes, though that is rather advanced healing magic, and will take some time if you want to learn healing that far.

Astral FAQ

These are Frequently Asked Questions I get about astral. Please check this guide before asking me questions concerning astralling! This will be updated regularly, as I receive more questions.

What is the astral?

Note that this is MY definition: I consider the astral to be absolutely everything; our plane of existence, spirits’ planes of existence, pop culture realms, etc. The astral is everywhere and everything.

How does astral travel work?

When you travel, a small portion of your consciousness leaves your body.

This consciousness manifests as its own body on the astral, or it could “awaken” in an astral body you already have. In travel, you do not see/hear/feel/think as clearly as you do during projection, simply because only a portion of your consciousness has left your body.

What is astral travel versus astral projection versus OBE?

Note, again, these are MY definitions:

In astral travel, a PORTION of your consciousness leaves your body and is able to explore other realms.

In Astral Projection, nearly your entire consciousness leaves your body. Astral projection is much harder to achieve than travel. This is the “gold standard” of astral travel, where you see/hear/feel/think with complete or almost complete clarity.

In an OBE, Out-of-Body-Experience, your consciousness FULLY leave your body. As of right now, I do not believe this is possible without a near-death experience, or actual death.

What are some ways to astral travel?

Have a spirit you know and trust “pull” you into the astral.

(Visualization) Imagine a door. Imagine/focus on what is on the other side of the door. Walk through it.

“Splitting”: Imagine a copy of yourself hovering above you. Notice your consciousness in your own body, then “jump” your consciousness into that copy of yourself floating above you. Proceed to go where you want.  

What are some ways to astral project?

Just….keep practicing astral travel, maybe try new methods. I highly recommend reading Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce, I have literally NEVER EVER found a more comprehensive, extremely informative, and yet still beginner-friendly and not overly complex guide to astral travel/projection.

Differentiating “true astral” from imagination?

True Astral:

will always have external interactions that are not in your own head; entities talking/living their own lives whether your imagination/consciousness directs them to or not. Entities moving independently of your will.

Spirits (good or bad) being able to follow you back home, to your physical body and interact with you there

Unexpected/Unpredictable occurrences happen

You get injured and it may hurt your astral body and maybe feel it a little physically too. Injury damages your magical abilities/astral abilities

Your astral body can die and you won’t be able to access “true astral” until you regenerate.

You can meet other humans consciously. As in, you can text your friend and meetup on the astral together, and talk about it IRL afterwards.

Imagination:

You are in full control of everything.

What you expect to happen, will happen

Entities are like puppets or dolls; they don’t move around unless you imagine them doing so, and if/when they interact with you, it’s things you expected them to say

You will not tire, or will tire extremely slowly.

You die/get extremely hurt and nothing happens. You can regenerate at will/heal whenever and wherever you want.

You talk to your friend, then you talk to them later IRL and they have no idea what you talked about.

Why do people always imagine common fantasy stuff when astralling? Don’t you think astral and what happens there is just your imagination and happens in your head? I mean strangely all the people who talk about astral experiences describe common fantasy stuff. I’d say if astral was real it would contain a lot of stuff people can’t even imagine, and yet everyone describes dragons, elfs, etc, that which their mind already knows, nothing out of ordinary. Isn’t this suspicious?

One reason people generally imagine common fantasy is stuff is because that’s what most people care about, and thus go to. It’s hard to care about a species that humanity has never even encountered before, isn’t it? Also, how can you visit the realm of something you have never even heard of/can’t imagine before? Astral travel needs knowledge of where you will go to, so it’s pretty hard (and probably super dangerous) to just say “take me somewhere beyond my imagination.”

There’s also the problem of perception: during astralling, the mind usually replaces things you don’t know with things you do know of, to use less energy while astralling. While you can force your brain to show “the truth”, the more the thing you are trying to look at is beyond your imagination, the more energy and effort it will take to see “the truth”.

How do you do astral laundry?

Note: Not limited to this list.

Have a companion you’re comfortable with seeing you nude do your laundry for you.

Astral travel two feet away from your earth self, take your astral clothes off, put them in your washer/dryer (with your astral self or earth self), physically run the washer/dryer (you can wash other clothes with it). Take your clothes out, travel again and put your clothes back on.

Destroy your clothes and remake clean ones.

How do past lives affect current astral shenanigans?

You might appear as one of your past life forms/bodies. Spirits from your past lives could also attempt to find you on the astral (whether malicious or friendly, so always be cautious).

How to meet spirits on the astral?

Tl;dr:

1. Be able to astral and able to distinguish between astralling/imagination.

2. Go somewhere with spirits.

How to safely meet spirits on the astral?

There is no 100% guarantee of safety when astralling.

Some suggestions are:

Have spirit guides/guardians/protective companions take you somewhere safe

Actually know where you are going and who you want to meet

How do you keep possibly malicious spirits/entities/beings from following you back home?

This is what wards in your living space/where you are when you astral are for. Wards can fuddle your energy signature from being found by spirits you don’t want to find you.

Make sure you “come back” correctly; that you walked back through your imagined door, imagined yourself falling back into your physical body, whatever.

Do a centering exercise, which will help you “pull back in” trace amounts of energy you left where you went when astralling. Do make sure your wards are up first, to make sure nothing follows the “pull” back to your physical body. Manners/social etiquette/social skills in the astral?

Obviously those will vary a LOT based on where you go. I literally can’t write a comprehensive guide as the astral is home to a limitless number of cultures.

But some things to keep in mind are:

Don’t fight every single thing you see ever. Don’t try and provoke fights with every single thing ever. Retribution is a thing and the majority of spirits have the advantage when fighting in the astral.

Just because something looks scary doesn’t mean it’s out to get you.

Observe the culture, maybe talk with some of the nicer (and not trickster) locals who can tell you the Do’s and Don’ts of their culture.

Heeeeeeey people keep talking about different places in the astral and are they alternate locations all on the same plane or are there alternate astral planes with alternate inhabitants?

There are alternate astral planes with their own inhabitants, and alternate locations on the same plane.

Example of the former: We are on earth. Heaven exists on its own plane of the universe.

Example of the latter: We are on Earth. An alternate location on our plane of existence would be Venus.

Is it possible for entities/other people to drag you into the astral (forcefully or not)?

Absolutely, both people and entities can bring you to the astral. And they can do it forcefully or consensually (consensually obviously takes a lot less energy).
