Ok so basically the cause of Victoria and Ollie’s relationship is that it wasn’t built on lies and deception. Let me explain.

For context both Sirens and Dryads (Nymphs) are sexual/romantic beings. Typically the siren is the one suducing the other while nympths are just sexual in nature.

However both of them don’t really embrace that side of them. Typically using their abilities for other purposes rather than sexual needs.

Ollie used their powers of plant control and the ability to talk with animals to help the environment.

Vicky uses her powers to influence others into getting things. She uses her singing voice as a musician and is in many musicals and is a lead singer in a band. While she as a siren does talk energy from others, she doesn’t really seek it out, not wanting to draw attention to herself. However sometimes she gets hungry enough to seek out someone, and when that happens it is typically a young male.

However what makes their relationship special is that when Vicky learned Ollie was a dryad, she didn’t want to take their energy from them, even though dryads contain a lot of life force/energy. So going against her instinct she refrained from taking from them, partly because they were the only other mythical species she knew of and because she began to fall in love with them.

So even though Vicky knew it would be easy to entice Ollie, she didn’t because she wanted an authentic relationship with them. Which I find kinda cute.

And while Vicky fell in love with them first, she held off her feelings even though she knew she could use her powers to get what she wanted. She wanted an authentic relationship built on actual love and not a love spell.

And I like to think that they got that.

(I’d like to note that me making them these sexualized species was purely unintentional, I had no clue nymphs were sexual beings and for Vicky, she was a singer and loved the ocean so I just went “fuck it” and made her a siren. I did not make them sexual beings because of that, it was because i really like Greek mythology)

So MC specializes in summoning and protective magic right? Cause they asked Solomon and natural talent, respectively.

Then one day, MC is with Solomon and he asks them to bring him something. But then they raise their hand and the object just comes floating to him. And he is SO proud cause like??? His little apprentice learned telekinesis??? On their own??? And pretty good???

And he starts singing praises with a stupid smile on his face and MC just smiles and thanks him cause it's really not that weird for him to get excited at their magic.

Then another day they do the same thing, but before the object flies through the air, he catches them mumble something about "Spirit of Wind" during the incantation. He's kinda confused and he asks them.

"Wait what do you mean wind?"

"What?"

"Just now, didn't you use telekinesis?"

"You didn't teach me telekinesis"

AND NOW HE IS EVEN MORE PROUD??? Cause what do you mean you're using the wind??? Do you know how much control over pressure, force and direction you need to do that??? He bets it's even harder than normal telekinesis???

Meanwhile MC stands there a little confused before Solomon's bewildered expression turns into a laugh as he goes to hug them.
