3. "Three of them lined up side by side." kim dokja used his wings to protect both yoo joonghyuk and han sooyoung in final battle (i forgot it's final battle or not. but he did do this. my bad).

4. kim dokja about yoo joonghyuk and han sooyoung : "with these two around, maybe not all hope was lost, after all"

or when joonghyuk and sooyoung were in denial for a while after they got dokja back in 1865 round and after their 'conversation' with the 4th wall.

11. when yoo joonghyuk and han sooyoung tricked anna croft together, and kim dokja just went along with them.

12. yoo joonghyuk and han sooyoung were engaged in kaizenix arc as yuri and schweichen but because yuri wanted dokja (in ricardo's body) at the end, han sooyoung planned to go with what yuri wanted first (so yeah han sooyoung and kim dokja's marriage as yuri and ricardo) before she took control the body back

18. kim dokja asked han sooyoung to be the first one to attack him back in the dark castle arc, and yoo joonghyuk was the last one to finish the job

19. when they ran to kim dokja's room in hospital, han sooyoung ran out of breath and yoo joonghyuk supported her

20. when dokja was being kidnapped by SP and it was just han sooyoung and yoo joonghyuk left to rescue him, and then han sooyoung gave all of her remaining strength to joonghyuk to rescue dokja. she told him something like "you better rescue him or just regress" lol (JHW was with them too but she left first!)

21. han sooyoung and yoo joonghyuk in snowfield dimension during group regression arc. they helped kim dokja with his own skill there (he got trapped inside the fourth wall in the dark castle arc when he fought devourer of dreams. he told han sooyoung "someone called out to me. if it werent for that voice, i might have ended up in that place"). and it turned out to be their voices! "Don't get swallowed up by your own skill!" "Cancel your skill, Kim Dokja."

for this part, if you are confused with the timeline and with this snowfield dimension thing, you will understand later if you read the side story.

22. the whole 1863 arc. the deal between yoo joonghyuk and han sooyoung, han sooyoung and kim dokja's fight, kim dokja and yoo joonghyuk's "The world that you showed, does it really exist?".

just go reread it again

23. when they fought 999 outer gods, dokja told sooyoung to endure until joonghyuk come. joonghyuk came and saved her, then moved to dokja's place to save him too (and other companions as well).

24. han sooyoung smirked and lightly pinched his cheek as if she was proud of him when she knew dokja went crazy and attacked joonghyuk because she 'died' by joonghyuk's hands.

25. still on isle of reincarnation arc. han sooyoung felt a bit lonesome when she asked joonghyuk "did you hear the answer you wanted?" and joonghyuk answered "a little."

dont worry sooyoung!!!

26. still on isle of reincarnation arc (again). sooyoung helped joonghyuk to get an answer from dokja. she almost died there and she did that to avoid both of joonghyuk's and dokja's death.

dokja and joonghyuk's whole introduction too. dokja realized he couldnt kill him and just accepted his fate being killed by joonghyuk because he thought he deserved it. also, joonghyuk's satisfied with the answer he got (eventho he still want to find more esp about the 4th wall)

dokja's reaction after seeing han sooyoung still alive...

yoo joonghyuk stole dokja's modifier "demon king of salvation" (he left the 'of' LMAO) but he also gave him the left over (asmodeus' modifier) so dokja didnt fail the scenario. dokja was his demon king target 😭 this man i swear.

and after all those shits happened, dokja cried in front of sooyoung. she gave him lemon candy. and you know what? she was crying too in here after seeing him cry. "she avoided his gaze", "han sooyoung rubbed her eyes as she spoke"

no because isle of reincarnation arc was one of the lowest point of dokja. he fought BAD with joonghyuk, saw han sooyoung died right IN FRONT OF HIS EYES by joonghyuk's hands, went crazy but couldnt bring himself to fight back eventho he thought joonghyuk already crossed the line. and lets think about joonghyuk's feeling too because knowing your companion chose to stay in another regression turn and knowing your life was a book he read, and then sooyoung's feeling witnessing all of them from BOTH's sides.

im sorry i just love isle of reincarnation arc so much

27. this is related to number 6. when sooyoung and joonghyuk fought each other, they talked about dokja, the desperation because they couldnt save him. sooyoung said "i know you would have gone back if you still could regress" and joonghyuk said "i may have. are you any different?" and turned out sooyoung tried really hard to endure, but she just couldnt. and then joonghyuk told her he wanted her to kill him. "Every cell in her body was ringing alarm bells."

28. during group regression when kimcom tried to reach dokja by breaking past the letters that protected him, sooyoung used her new stigma [Character Summon] to summon joonghyuk. [Character, 'Yoo Joonghyuk', is answering the call] and then he said "Hold on tight" and grabbed sooyoung's hands.

after that, joonghyuk's hands reached and grabbed dokja's collars.

this part made me tear up real good because it perfectly potrayed how the writer (hsy) summoned the protagonist (joonghyuk) to reach the reader (dokja). just like how sooyoung wrote a story about joonghyuk to keep dokja alive for 13 years :(

29. han sooyoung and yoo joonghyuk fought over kim dokja's things

30. 0th turn yoo joonghyuk and kim dokja. (post) 1863rd turn han sooyoung and kim dokja. (post) 1865th turn yoo joonghyuk and han sooyoung.

31. kaizenix arc again. when sooyoung and dokja began yapping amongst themselves and using the "as a writer" and "as a reader", joonghyuk told them to shut up. both of them immediately shut up lol. then sooyoung said "lets trust the protagonist" and dokja agreed with that. in the end they used joonghyuk's method: "lets just face them head on" 😭 my sillies

32. still kaizenix arc (one of my fav arc so i will mention it a lot eheh). when sooyoung tried to prove her kingship as the new king of kaizenix, she showed the citizens dokja's sword. but some still glared at them so joonghyuk stepped forward and said she is indeed the new ruler. dokja also gave some speeches. in the end, the crowd knelt down to the three of them

33. this whole thing made (number 12) sounds funnier. joonghyuk was transmigrated as schweichen and he needed to marry yuri (hsy), but the usurpation happened so the marriage failed, after that there were shits here and there, leading to the (number 12) event 😭

34. when they exited the train, han sooyoung and yoo joonghyuk were the only ones who looked back, feeling like something was left behind. "We are getting off together, right?" "Of course, we should."

this broke me because THEY KNEW.

35. both yoo joonghyuk and han sooyoung were willing to replace kim dokja as the oldest dream.

36. han sooyoung to kim dokja and yoo joonghyuk in final battle : "You sons of bitches, not even saying a single thing to me…!"

37. the whole group regression thing was joonghyuk's plan. he asked sooyoung for help. before this, sooyoung went to him because she thought he was the only one who would have different opinion about this dokja avatar thing.

38. this is early chapters but hey!

39. han sooyoung and kim dokja took turn slapping yoo joonghyuk's cheeks but because his cheeks were so hard so their palms went numb instead. this happened when they were about to fight 999 outer gods.

40. "Damn, Kim Dokja." She started cursing but didn't feel any better. Thus, Han Sooyoung added one more thing. "Bastard Yoo Joonghyuk."

AU where everything is the same but Yoo Joonghyuk develops a habit of stealing kisses from Kim Dokja.

Kim Dokja doesn't know where this kind of quirk of his developed, but the first time Yoo Joonghyuk suddenly kisses him it's after they reunite in the Demon Realm. He's pretty emotionally vulnerable at the time even with the 4th Wall doing its job, and Yoo Joonghyuk is about to disappear for his allotted 10 min a day punishment. But before Yoo Joonghyuk dips, he suddenly grabs Kim Dokja by the neck and pulls him into a kiss. It's a quick thing, lingering just long enough that it couldn't be considered just a peck, before Yoo Joonghyuk leaves without acknowledging it.

Kim Dokja is left dumbstruck. He somehow convinces himself he just imagined that because his brain cannot compute reality with what he knows about Yoo Joonghyuk. Why was he even imagining something like that anyway? Clearly some wires got crossed because he was just relieved Yoo Joonghyuk was alive. Nothing else. He couldn't even ask Yoo Joonghyuk about it because what if he was wrong and he really did just imagine it? That would be humiliating. No way. It was better to just worry about other things and forget this ever happened. He'd never live it down otherwise.

But it happens again when they enter First Murim. Yoo Joonghyuk had left and rejoined them, and he steals another kiss before shoving a dumpling into Kim Dokja's hands. Kim Dokja stares at him, mouth agape, and Yoo Joonghyuk tells him to close his mouth because he looks stupid. Kim Dokja can't dare to ask what the hell that was because the others are near them and they hadn't seen what happened.

(The Constellations who are watching, though, saw everything of course.)

It becomes a habit that Kim Dokja can't keep up with but he starts to notice a pattern. Yoo Joonghyuk will sometimes kiss him before he leaves his side. Sometimes the kisses linger longer as Kim Dokja gets used to this habit. Sometimes he even grabs him by the back of the head or the jaw. Other times it's just a quick little peck, stolen away before Kim Dokja can even notice. He kisses him before they go to sleep. Kim Dokja still doesn't ask what the hell this is all about. He's thoroughly unprepared to have that kind of conversation. But after Yoo Joonghyuk gives him a a longer, proper kiss (like an actual lover?) before the two separate to go to the tournament and the constellation gathering, he figures they should probably talk.

...He says that but the timing never really feels right. But he feels foolish having gotten so used to the kisses. They start to feel like Yoo Joonghyuk is trying to tell him something when he does them. Maybe it's a good bye. Maybe it's a form of psychological torture. He hasn't quite deciphered it when the 73rd Demon King selection occurs, and this time Kim Dokja takes it on himself to kiss Yoo Joonghyuk first when he sees that the man chose not to regress. It was an impulsive thing to do in battle, but his emotions had built up and before the Wall could stem the flow too much he'd found himself kissing Yoo Joonghyuk and feeding him the medicine. Yoo Joonghyuk is too weak to kiss back at the time, but his face relaxes just a little. His eyes have a familiar look in them before he passes out.

Yoo Joonghyuk isn't awake the next time Kim Dokja kisses him before the Indescribable Distance was to arrive. It's the only good bye Kim Dokja can give as he puts the pocket watch in the man's hand and hopes he doesn't regret his choices.

He doesn't think he'll get anymore kisses from Yoo Joonghyuk again even if he was to return to his world line when he enters the 1863rd turn. He still hasn't figured out the reason for Yoo Joonghyuk's strange form of affection, but he wasn't even sure how to face him anyway when he's caught off-guard by the actions of the 1863rd Yoo Joonghyuk. The one who had seen the story of Kim Dokja's turn kissed him once as well, shocking the man. He didn't get the chance to ask him why. To him, it felt like Yoo Joonghyuk was telling him something serious.

He's still left to think about it in the time after the 1863rd turn's death. Han Sooyoung is no help to him. And when he returns to his world line, he doesn't particularly expect to be forgiven. Maybe tolerated, hopefully accepted, but hardly forgiven for what he'd done despite his bold attempts at saving face.

When he's resting, drugged, in his bed and half-conscious, he's surprised to feel the press of lips to his own. He knows who they are without them saying. The bite to his lip was enough, even if the scent of him didn't give him away. He didn't realize how much he had missed this until it was gone, and Yoo Joonghyuk wasn't there when he woke up.

He ends up licking his sore lip repeatedly, tonging the injury the bastard left behind. Doesn't he know he shouldn't kiss an unconscious person? (The sting is sweet).

Remembering how Mamiya was ready to accept his temrinal illness yet Nemuro and Tokiko decided over his head what they wanted for him. Instead of spending time with him, they buried themselves in work, Tokiko sugaring or drying flowers to gloss over sorrows and certian decay. Nemuro commiting arson mass murder in the name of Mamiya just process his own rage...

Oh boy, if that dynamic isn't repeated in Penguin Drum with Himari and her brothers, espcially Kanba.
