The connections are there! The fucking beautiful men and eating out of the trash bins like animals is kind of how Old Man McGucket just acts at that time. It also doesn't help that Stan went to Vegas and married Goldie?! Who's also a fucked up prospector caricature.
Fiddlestan is canon in feelings and vibes and I doubt it sometimes like oh this is a really cool hypothetical ship. Probably sprung upon from the existence of the popular ship fiddauthor!

(it doesn't really count to anything but I just want to point out We have at least two people swearing in the show and it's Stanley and it's Fiddleford. Theres probably more but these are the things that come to mind.)

It's a travesty that I can't reblog gifsets of books.
#this post is about#the invisible life of addie larue#I am lost in this book#and when I was lost in The Acolyte#there were gifs and photosets and actor interviews#but no such luck for the books I love#well#except for the folk of the air series#there are some real gems in the fota tags#but most of the fanart for this book is so focused on the wrong part?#Which to be fair was also a problem with The Acolyte#like I understand this is the 'inhuman villain x human hero' website#so i don't know what else I expected anybody to take away from this book#certainly not the moral and emotional complexity of the characters or the situations they're put in#or the way it follows through on the implications of its premise#or the philosophical questions it begs you to ask#or the existential pit it draws you to look into#or the sheer bloody-minded downright spiteful amount of hope it provides#it's almost a parable#the girl that smiled into the darkness and the darkness that smiled back#the woman who is so stubbornly determined to live that death itself can't help but love her even as she hates it#the woman who valued her life so much she gave up everything to keep it#and the man who loved her so well that she gave it up all over again to save him#to have complete freedom with no one to share#the heaven and the hell of it#God#this book has ruined me#i can't remember the last time I felt so haunted by a story#I added some of the author's other works to my library app#but tbh

btw I did see the comet last week, first time it's ever been not cloudy in Ohio while an astronomical event was occurring (that I was awake for), and this is what it looked like
#i couldnt even see the tail it just looked like an extremely tiny shuttlecock. and only in photos lol#but its ok im still happy i at least got to see it!!!! ❤️#i also got to see some beavers in the marsh where we were watching. appropriately named Beaver Marsh. which was neat#anyway it was so beautiful even though to the naked eye it just kinda looked like a bright star lol. but i Knew#best i can do btw i have a shitty old phone that cant take pictures in the dark sorryyyy#but i used 2 different star identification apps and they said that was it so im trusting them

Maybe I should just accept the fact that I'm bound to have writing WIPs and inch my way to completion with this thing by adding onto it day by day instead of fully completing the thing in a single day like I usually do.

WHY AM I WORRYING BOUT THAT ACTUALLY#its either have writing or have nothing at all and i need SOMETHING! so this is good enough! ill add onto it tomorrow#basically im worried of misplacing the file and forgetting bout it cuz unlike drawing where everything is in ibis#i dont have a dedicated writing app that can compile all of it in one place where i can just open an app and everything is there#i dont like google docs. stimuwrite is lovely to write with but not so much to compile with. i have libreoffice but it...#looks so much like google docs... the layout and everything and i did manage to get it on dark mode but its so...#its just! smth bout the overall layout that it has is too distracting for me to actually use#and truth be told. notepad is honestly more appealing to me to use that either google docs and libreoffice#but the sad part is that it has to be saved individually! like ok i guuuueeess i can use a folder... yea might as well#im going to put the most eyecatching stuff on the folder's title so my eyes doesnt just look past it#maybe nows the time to figure out how to change folder icons actually...
