I'm back pushing my terricky agenda onto you all- what do you know about them? what do you knOW about thEM??
anyway i love them with all my heart and here's my design notes on this -
so this is pre-betrayal. don't ask me the timeline, I may have the timeline but I'm not placing this anywhere
First and foremost, on the left- it's not coloured and wont be because I'm lazy but Nicky is wearing Terry's purple sweater, and Terry is wearing a Glenn Close Trio shirt that Nicky has had for years at this point
On one of Nicky's many necklaces is a guitar pick, one of the first ones Glenn gave him after he remembered both timelines. He turned it into a necklace to always keep on him, even when they fight and argue.
Terry is wearing one of those tight-knit fishnet undershirts with an open chest (saw an image on Pinterest of it and went with it) with one of those sheer mesh cropped shirts over top. His big ass goth ass coat is lacking details again bc lazy but it definitely has a lot more pockets and buckles on it.
And yes, Goth Terry is Canon to Me and he absolutely would do some really cool ass punk inspired makeup on Nicky or try out different trad goth makeup ideas on him for fun. Nicky, in turn, paints his nails. Typically they were always black, but occasionally they'd be red or purple or what have you if they felt a lil spicy.
Terry also only wears upside down cross jewelry so that normal cross necklaces don't bother Nicky, because you know,,, demon
Also Nicky's tail is wrapped around Terry's leg because he's fruity
I stand on the fact that Nicky crushed and fell first and Terry did not realize for a Very Long time because he's a fucking Dumbass and I love him for it
thank you for coming to my Ted (Terricky) Talk, I'll see you again another time when I crawl from the void

olympics coming up…… athlete aus on the mind….. satoru as a swimmer….. unreasonably large wingspan…. huge hands..... thinks “official” competitions and tournaments are boring because he can’t use the goofy purple googly eyes goggles he likes to practice in…… practices at ungodly hours solely because he likes when the pool is empty because that means you’ll dip your feet in at the edge and be there to greet him with a kiss when he’s finished his laps….. they bring up the stats board and it’s just his name ten times before the next fastest person and he could still lap them, and even tho he’ll always put so much pressure on himself to be the best, it’s worth it to have you hold his face and tell him you’re proud of him... he’s gotten so much merch from events and sponsorships and he used to think they just created clutter but that all changes when you start to wear his clothes (esp the ones with his name on it… he’s not proud to admit that does Something to him)…. always looks up to the stands when he finishes a race and if he knows you’re not there, he looks right at the camera, draws an infinity sign with his fingers, and blows a kiss (which, some commentators routinely call “unsportsmanlike conduct” but he doesn’t care, and always, publicly says he’ll pay the fees if it means blowing a kiss to his girl at home)

I love how over time kid xelqua has become less just baby grian and more grian's kid who he found in the woods/somehow created and now the kid represents all of grian's childhood trauma and Catholic guilt and grian is just trying to break the cycle bc there's this magic fucking baby who is the best thing in the world
JKAGJKD yes Exactly, see evo Grian has a lot of family issues, from being an orphan, to the Watchers, he has ISSUES, so raising a version of himself is..... definitely odd, but weirdly healing.. He sees how he was as a kid, he wasn't that bad, he was just a kid ! He didn't deserve to be abandoned or anything. He sees all of his ache in Xelqua, he's very much breaking the cycle.
[mumbo: You alright mate, you have that look in your eyes.
grian: no yeah--i'm good, i just.... its easy to raise him, y'know ? i mean, i know he's literally me, but.. it makes me wonder about my own parents--before the watchers, if i was anything like him, i don't know why they left] (-me)

Hey so I’ve mentioned this a lot of times on my main blog, but I wanted to put this out over here since it is Hallow’s Eve. I always give out little tchotchkes on Halloween along with candy. This year, I’ve completely switched over to 100% doohickeys and doodads— think mechanical pencils, shaped erasers, little notebooks, squishes, vampire teeth and spiders rings and all. It started years ago in college when I signed up for a dorm Halloween event where kids from an area that was too dangerous to really trick or treat through got bussed in to trick or treat at our dorm. I bought some candy and dollar store Halloween themed stuff with what i had. And you know what the kids went ape shit over?
Motherfucking. Mechanical. PENCILS!!
These kids could not get enough of them. They literally went “PENCILS??!” I had never seen kids get so hyped up for pencils lmao. They were the first things to go. Candy is fleeting; the little pencils you can bring to school to flex are eternal, until you inevitably lose one of the refill parts and then they aren’t but listen, in that one moment they are infinite. And its nice thinking that maybe some kids who don’t always have access to school supplies not only get them, but get them in fun shapes and designs.
Anyway. I recommend people to give out fun stuff like this not just because kids seem to genuinely enjoy them, but also because there’s this thing called the Teal Pumpkin Project here in America. You can put out a teal pumpkin to show that you are giving away non-candy items and sign your address up so parents of children with allergies know that there are houses their kids can safely and happily trick or treat at! It’s a win-win! Plus, if you accidentally bought too much, it’s not like candy— just pack it away, pencils and fidget spinners will be good next year, too! :)

Frankenstein AU
I had a post wondering what happened to Yoichi's body after he died, but an AU where AFO pulled a Frankenstein would be interesting. Especially if Yoichi didn't remember anything when he woke up from the operating table. This is where it would diverge from the book (even more), because Victor abandoned his monstrous creation while AFO would take the opportunity to teach Yoichi. Of course, his teaching would probably be something like giving him a heavily edited version of Captain Hero where the spiky-haired vigilantes are the villains.
And because he had to be all stitched up, I imagine AFO would also tell him that no one could love Yoichi other than him. Naturally, he tries to escape and form other connections (like how the monster wanted a mate), only for his brother to be proved right when people scream in fear and he accidentally kills someone in his panic.
We could get the good ending where Kudou and Bruce find him, accept him, and get him away from his brother, but... Remember the part where Victor was building the monster a mate and thought about how terrible it would be if there were two of them, so he ripped up his work? Now imagine AFO doing the same to the two vigilantes.
What happens next depends on whether or not Yoichi met them. If AFO did it before they found him, then Yoichi would forever live as his perfect little brother. If he did it after they found him, he'd get angry that his brother took the two best people in his life away and get his revenge. Remember how the monster killed Victor's bride? Well, about a century later, Yoichi gets his revenge in the form of Inko and Izuku. Then he runs away to kill himself so he can be with his lovers again.

i have this terrible habit of comparing myself to artists who've had success when they're still young, like how fall out boy had four studio albums before any of them had turned 30, patrick stump released soul punk when he was 27, ben platt won a tony when he was 23, you get it, right? but lately i've been thinking about interviews where patrick talks about not being able to imagine doing anything else, because music is what he loves and what he's good at. the work i do right now isn't what i have a degree in, it's not what i want to make a career out of, i'm still using a license i got when i was 16 (which makes it almost ten years ago, and also begs the question why i was allowed to do this as a literal child?), and god it's so easy to get down on myself for not being able to break into the field i want to, to still be out here doing the same thing, but when i take a step back i realize i'm really good at my job, and from the beginning it has never been about changing the world, it's about making individual moments better for individual people, one at a time. and i am good at that. i am an important part of the team for that.
