this is accurate actually because Xelqua dislikes shoes !!!! i have drawn this before when the lore was like, way different, but its still true.

xelqua is picky about clothing textures, but mostly doesn't have problems

i dont think kid xelqua is allowed in the nether beyond like, the roof with grian, so i don't think he'd know about the baby ghasts ?

the baby ghasts do make me incredibly sad though oh my god

i neeeeeddddd to know grian's reaction to them, mostly just to know if he finds them cute or baby talks them like he did with the snails, so i can use that information for kid xelqua again

So I'm pretty sure I remember you saying that 3rd life is the only cannon life series in the au so does that mean that Xelqua also went through that or was it unique to Grian?

yeah 3rd life is the only life series canon to EvoAU/kidXelqua, mostly bc i couldn't think of a way to connect all of them, plus any new ones made the au way more unstable.

i have thought about this a little bit before, but i don't have a super detailed answer honestlyyyy. Xelqua definitely played the life games, multiple of them, so its possible he played 3rd life ! But, it would've gone differently.

See Xelqua embraced being a Watcher, and was also pushed by Watchers to believe everyone hated him, so if anything, he'd likely team with jimmy just to kill him later. (Who knows if thats something he actually did or not !!)

3rd life for Grian was specifically a breakthrough for him, it unintentionally showed him that he needed to get away from the Watchers--that they might not care about him as much as he thought. His relationship with Scar was also a motivator.

Xelqua, at that time, would do anything for the praise of Watchers, so his only goal was survive and take out as many players as he could. I do not think he won 3rd life like Grian did though. I wonder who killed him ? (my guess would be Martyn)

Random but how long have you been drawing, Solar? Or are you one of those people who’s always drawn? Your art is so gorgeous, it’s like my ideal style. You have such a range and it’s so coool!! So I’m curious how long it’s taken you to get to where you are now:))

yesh I thiiink I am one of those people that’s drawn their whole life but like, as a little kid it was just satisfying to do, I wasn’t trying to actually make anything or improve hahaha

it wasn’t until I was around 10 that I got really into anime, especially the shojo genre, so I actually sought out drawing tutorials, but back then there really wasn’t much to work with ok 😩

i didn’t get a drawing tablet until I was around 14 though, and despite doing digital art since then, I was stagnant through my teens and didn’t try to actually learn until i was in my 20s. I’m still not great at a lot of things despite the time frame, so make sure to always study !!! I’ve seen people improve like crazy within a year or two, it’s really impressive.

(Of course, always remember to stretch and Have Fun, takes breaks. ALSO imo to make media you gotta digest media, so it’s good to seek out animations and art to absorb or take inspiration from 👍👍, Kiki’s Delivery Service is my favourite analogy for being an artist 😭)

I've been seeing a lot of your kid Xelqua art, and this has probably been answered before, but is there any lore that I'm missing? Some of the posts make it seem like Xelqua is past Grian, but idk if that's the case or if he just has a child.

xelqua is a past grian, grian did not birth him, its why xelqua looks exactly like grian and no other parent
