♡♡bf!txt and things you can do for them♡♡
synopsis: small or big things/gestures to show your love for them or things they would love in their partner and their reaction based on my observations and astrology /seperate
genre: pure fluff and nothing else i swear
wanings: delulu headcanons, might come across cringe to some, is fluff a warning? imo it is! fight me about it if you want, kissing?
i love my tubatu boys so much, i want to cry~
let him what he needs to do show love
i think yeonjun would get very upset if you were to say stuff like how overwhelmed you are with his gifts since you can't do the same for him or judge him for wanting to show pda
so he is most likely to settle for bare minimum in this case. he has high standarts in everything else but this one in particular restricts him and his love for you. so just let him love you however he wants~
listen to his advices
he no means to control you but let's just say you made changes in your style just because yeonjun suggested you to do that particular thing, he would be so happy. this may include lots of variations of advice but like i said not in a controlling way.
wear matching clothes/accessories with him
not cringe ones like "his/hers" or "look at my bf/gf" but like waering the same necklace he bought for you or same themed clothes that do not necessarily scream couple clothes.
tumbling down his walls
i don't think yeonjun likes showing weakness. i have similar placements with him, i would know. so when you be the person he can truly feel comfortable around to show his real self, he is considering you love of his life.
encourage him in what he does
although this may apply to everything he is passionate about, his job in particular is where he needs you to be hyping him up. call him "4th gen it boy" or compliment his lyricism and him being all rounder. yeah almost everyone does that but he also needs you to do that, too.
let him take care of you
soobin has this great parental energy that traditionally falls under father figure roles. what i mean is for example if you have a problem you are facing, just let him be the one who helps you solve it. i am not saying he wants to be your savior but he cares so much and this is his way of showing.
cook/bake together
soobin likes to cook/bake even though he is not the best at it. he tries. but he loves to cook/bake with you. especially if you are excellent cook. he feels like this is your love project together and also a fun activity on top of it. what's not the like?
be his equal
i don't think soobin would enjoy an obvious power imbalance in a relationship. of course there is some places he is better or worse than you but they balance each other out. and i mean this also in a way that no one in the relationship should hold the power, it would make him so uncomfortable.
get along with his friens
he is the introvert that has lots of friends for an unexplained and mysterious reason but he loves them and you so you getting along with them genuinely makes him happy. just like the one of the biggest hit there is: spice girls - wannabe. lyrics are just so soobin.
enjoy the things he enjoys
you get a joke he made and laugh at it, he is happy. you like the date idea he suggested and excited to do it, he is happy. you watch him play video games with his friends, he is happy.
basically he is happy to be understood and seen. many more examples can be given
not be boring
always stimulate his brain. play hard to get. (not too much tho) be cool in general. get his jokes. at least try to enjoy things he loves.
may seem a lot but he doesn't like the idea of being bored in general. (this i can relate) but it heavily influences his love life the most.
listen to his worries
beomgyu is also a human being. he needs nurtiring just like everyone else. no matter how small the problem is, show that you care. and also beomgyu deserves it. most people deserve this but beomgyu deserves it more than the rest.
be his star crossed lover
he wants to believe that it is more than his and your choice. he wants to believe that some powerful being or universe wants you to be together. call it soulmates, call it twinflame. doesn't matter. just be his true love.
validate him
he doesn't nor necessarily seek for validation from others,he does but not in the unhealthy way, but his s/o is a different story. so when you are proud of him, he is proud of himself. don't make him feel untalented or stupid or useless or someone who is trying or some- one who is not really nice.
open up to him
he feels uneasy with someone who doesn't share. it feels like you don't trust him. he talks about his problems, right? so why don't you. like i genuinely think he wants you to trauma dump. he wants to learn why you are the way you are.
be different
he doesn't want to commit to someone who is just like everyone else you can find on the street. maybe it is your style, maybe it is your personality, maybe it is your taste, maybe it is your dislike of pop culture... but don't be a poser and don't make this all of your personality.
take care of him when he is sick
idk why but i think tyun would show his vulnerability to his s/o but would also make sure that he has borders. but it changes when he is sick. he is a baby, okay? so take care of him!!!!!! (he lowkey likes the motherly/parental vibe you are giving, too)
let him take control
i am talking about your relationship. he likes independent people who take care of themselves but he would prefer leading the relationship. not in the toxic way i swear, he asks for your opinion of course.
kiss him a lot
some of you guys may know my taehyun the expert french kisser theory... and if you don't, here it is again. he is a expert french kisser. loves kissing so much. doesn't need to be mouth to mouth action. just kiss him or let him kiss you.
work out with him
i know some people make working out tyun's whole personality but i mean this in a way that be a part of his routine and also take care of yourself. two birds one stone, you know. he likes this activity so even you watching him do it is enough sometimes.
get along with his members and family
we all know hyuka doesn't let anyone to be in his life. he has his members and family. so if you are blessed enough to be in it, you should get along with them. he also values family so much. he seems to have very healthy relationships with his family and members so it is unavoidable that he wants his s/o to be part of it.
be a geek with him
i don't think hyuka is geek btw but he would love it when you play mario kart with him or watch batman the animated series with him. you know traditionally geeky stuff. also make commentary and jokes while engaging with the media. and react his commentary and jokes, too.
be nostalgic with him
this is why i think he would want someone his age or close to his age or older than him since they can experience his childhood memerioes. kinda related to the one above but if you enjoy the things he enjoyed when he was younger, that would make him happy.
cook for him
he would really appreciate this one. may want to help but the thoughtfulness of you makes his heart flutter. definitely loves your cooking even if you are not the best. also he may want to try different foods so when you cook something he wanted to try, he is in love. the experience is definitely better than a fancy restaurant.
beautify yourself
i am not saying fit in the beauty standart. i am saying be fashionable and confident. like if he likes your aesthetic, you are beautiful to him. so try to have your own style and aesthetic. if you put an effort, he would also put an effort. he likes to adorn himself for his s/o and expects you to do same.
a/n: i had this on my notes for so long. i am just glad that i finally got to share. i also tried to do moodboards. though i think i failed a little, it was fun to do it.

asking for Velvette Dx and/or head canons if it's not too much hassle! Plz and ty!
tw // suicide
I would like to preface all my posts on headcanons related to psychology and mental illness with a disclaimer: diagnosing mental conditions, especially personality disorders, can be extremely challenging. It's a complicated process that relies heavily on a psychologist's interpretation of facts, making it susceptible to biases. Personality disorders cannot be diagnosed based on surface-level observations and are not just labels that we can assign to people like in the case of MBTI. Additionally, I am not a clinician with any expertise in diagnosing people. Therefore, the following post should not be taken as a reliable professional opinion. It's simply my interpretation of the internal mechanisms that may be responsible for the behavior of certain characters in my fan fiction. Furthermore, I want to make it clear that I have no intention of stigmatizing people with personality disorders by associating them with villains. A personality disorder does not determine someone's character or make them a bad person. Some characters may be evil because of the choices they make, not as a result of their mental conditions.
So, as I mentioned, I headcanon Velvette as having an Antisocial Personality Disorder. It is characterized by lack of sympathy or empathy for the rights of others, while simultaneously acting charming and interpersonally manipulative.
❤️ Throughout her childhood, Velvette lived exclusively with her father in the impoverished and sketchy part of the city. Her father worked a lot to earn them living but at the same time he drank a lot and while drunk tend to be aggressive. Also he surrounded himself with bad people. In my mind Velvette can deal with Vox and Val's shit so well because since she was little she was surrounded by unpredictable and violent men. At this point she couldn't be less scared of them.
❤️ She endured relentless bullying during her school years due to her inability to afford stylish clothes and gadgets. This was particularly hurtful for her, given her deep passion for fashion. Velvette devoted all her free time to design stunning looks, harboring a fervent desire to be able to wear them.
❤️ Around 12, she figured that following rules was pointless, being in a disadvantaged position due to her family's poverty. The sole way to boost her social status, in her view, was to break those rules. This extended beyond minor offenses like stealing groceries; she engaged in more serious crimes, such as taking money, clothes, and jewelry from stores and individuals. She never felt any remorse for these actions; to her, they were merely a means to achieve her goals, regardless of the harm inflicted on others.
❤️ She never finished her education because sticking to school rules wasn't her forte. She had the smarts and charm to sidestep juvenile detention. Despite concerns from a few individuals, we all know how well the system deals with "troubled teens." Besides, her father wasn't bothered by psychologists' opinions as long as she was bringing in some cash.
❤️ As a young woman she used her charm to manipulate men and take advantage over them. While she contemplated sex work as an easy money-making avenue, she found men too repulsive to engage in it. Instead, her preferred method involved blackmail – she seduced married men, particularly the submissive ones drawn to her aggression and coldness. Through this, she gathered intelligence and skillfully weaponized it against them.
❤️ At some point, she blew up as this super popular influencer. It kicked off with her sharing cool, low-cost looks on the internet. People loved her sassy attitude and creative stuff. But as she got more famous, it stopped being about creativity and turned into a power trip. She built a cult-like following around herself and started abusing her power. Being openly mean worked in her favor online – people ate it up, especially when she got into online fights. No matter how wild it got, no one could successfully cancell her. Actually, I think Vox really admires her talent for stirring up drama. He pushed her several times to get on some reality show, thinking it'd make the ratings explode. But the darkest stuff Velvette pulled wasn't out there for everyone to see. It all went down in her DMs. She justified it as "finally getting justice from rich white brats," using her influence to get teens to pull off crimes and risky stuff. She even manipulated at least two depressed kids into taking their own lives. When shit hit the fan, and she knew prison was coming, she took it as one last chance to torment people. During a "live stream apology," she commmited suicide in front of thousands of people.
❤️ In the show, it's evident that she's downright rude. Not just to Carmilla and the other overlords, but also towards Vox and her own employees. The lack of sensitivity and respect for others, coupled with a strong sense of superiority and being extremely opinionated, are typical traits associated with Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD). My girl literally got song called Respectless.
❤️ She disregards any kind of authorities and when someone tries to impose their will onto her, she's going berserk.
❤️ She genuinely couldn't care less about what people think of her; she despises people that much. In fact, being hated now excites her because she knows she's untouchable and influential and it makes everyone even more angry.
❤️ She's extremely reckless, even if she knows it could hurt her – another trait associated with APD. While we observe Vox and Valentino able to behave when necessary, Velvette storms into overlords' meetings guns blazing and starts with insulting everyone, even though she aims to convince them to align with Vs.
❤️ She struggles to form genuine connections with other people. Still, she's got a soft spot for Vox and Val, sort of considering them her friends. At the same time, she sees them as just a couple of guys she can easily play to her advantage.
Vox hc | Valentino hc

shaunanat headcanons? 😋
warnings: erm none. all pre-crash headcanons i guess but it doesn’t make a difference
hello! so so sorry this took me so long to do i didn’t want to. anyway hope this is okay !! i wrote this whilst watching titanic in the corner of my screen so. heavily influenced probably
shauna who writes little love letters and poems for natalie when she has a free period.
natalie who, despite saying she doesn’t like that cheesy stuff, keeps the notes shauna gives her under her bed in a shoebox.
shauna who loves listening to nirvana. not because she likes the music, no no. but because she gets to see natalie bop her head to the beat and pretend to play guitar.
natalie who always asks shauna how she gets her hair so shiny. as natalie bleached her hair, she thinks her hair is fried and scratchy, whilst shauna has virgin hair and would never think about doing anything to it. shauna doesn’t mind natalie’s “fried” and “scratchy” hair. in fact, she loves playing with it, mainly because she thinks natalie’s hum of contentment is endearing.
shauna who loves sci-fi movies, especially ones like back to the future. she always drags natalie over to her house, “trust me. there’s this new one out, i’ve heard it’s really good.”
natalie who used to think science fiction was for nerds. once she got to watching a few, she actually began to like them and even bought some on vhs to watch at home. she prefers thrillers overall though.
shauna who doesn’t wear a whole lot of jewellery, she trusts a solid pair of earrings to hold her outfit together, maybe a dainty necklace if she’s feeling it. she loves to buy jewellery for nat, though.
natalie who has a huge collection of rings, earrings, necklaces, the things alike. she loves chunky necklaces and layering them, too. almost every special occasion, she’s gifted a new pair of earrings or ring from shauna. cheap ones, of course, but she loves them nonetheless.
shauna who is willing to get into a fist fight with any fucker who tries to talk shit about her or natalie.
natalie who reassures shauna that it’s not a big deal, she’s used to it. shauna can’t stand it though.
shauna who traces soft circles over natalie’s skin whilst she’s sleeping. she likes to watch over natalie as she sleeps, knowing that she’s safe next to her.
natalie who often pretends to be asleep, just so she can feel that soft, caring touch. she mostly pretends to sleep normally after a long day of practice; shauna’s soft hands such a great change from the roughness of the field.
shauna who is always the one to host their sleepovers, especially when things aren’t great at natalie’s. she sets up a blanket on the couch, popcorn and a movie for when natalie shows up at her door looking a little bit gloomy, pillow in hand.
natalie who feels guilty looking to stay at shauna’s almost every other night. she feels like she takes up too much room and doesn’t help out enough. truth is, shauna could never be happier, knowing that the girl she loves the most, finds comfort in her.
shauna who is not a morning person. she usually wakes up early, though. she’s always super groggy until it hits around 11am. she prefers the quiet and stillness of the night. once everyone has gone to bed and it’s just her and her blondie.
natalie who couldn’t agree more. she hates the busyness of the morning, the chaos of getting ready. she normally wakes up about 15 minutes before school starts, but she’s rarely tardy. she prefers the late night drives to the gas station, for whatever it may be, the loudness of tens of people talking at a party, she prefers that over arguing any day.
shauna who prefers dogs over cats. frankly because she thinks dogs are kinder than cats, more friendly and less stuck up.
natalie who prefers cats. she likes the poise and elegance of cats. the smoothness of the way they move and how little they shed.
shauna who collects vinyls.
natalie who collects cds.
shauna who prefers tea.
natalie who prefers coffee.
shauna who prefers going to a pool. she hates the feel of sand and prefers the closed-offness and privacy of a pool. she likes reading by the pool, without a bunch of kids kicking up sand as they run past her.
natalie who prefers going to the beach. she loves the patterns of seashells and skipping them into the water. she prefers the open-ness of the beach. she says, if she could, she would swim to the other side of the world.
shaunanat who are my babygirls and should have no bad things happen to them ever!!!

Sanguinius is my favorite primarch, yet we have so little lore on his actual backstory. Do you have any headcanons about Baal or Baal’s culture 🥺?
Hello anon! I do actually have a few headcanons about baal and quite a few others about how sanguinius grew up in its environment!
i’m incredibly happy to answer your ask, especially considering that it’s about my favorite primarch too. never hesitate to ask again, this was really fun to write!
─── ⋆⋅ ♰ ⋅⋆ ───
Environment:
I think that the surface of Baal would be a lot like that of Mars.
It’s a very dry, rocky, and hot planet.
I don’t have many headcanons about Baal itself, but Baal Secundis, the second moon of the planet where Sanguinius was raised isn’t much different from the mother planet.
Other than the fact it’s absolutely plagued with radiation and some of the most hideous creatures ever seen.
It’s been mentions in lore a few times that Sanguinius thinks his wings may be a result of the radioactive environment.
Because of this, I think that Baal Secundis is very fallout-like.
Miles and miles of empty and desolate desert, perhaps occasionally some leftover pieces of armor from previous battles, and many, many bones.
Culture:
It’s also canon that Sanguinius was alone in the desert for what you can assume was a pretty decently long time.
He was found either as a very young adult or as an old teenager, probably naked and highly radioactive.
The planet was incredibly war infested as also told by lore, so I can imagine that the tribe Sanguinius was raised in caused him to do a fair share of fighting.
I believe that the war may have possibly been due to a clash of cultures.
Many sources state that the people lived in a Nomadic culture, they were travelers, scavengers even.
For the longest time, the people of Baal had no god to believe in, nothing to tie them together.
But by the end of his time on the planet, everyone worshiped Sanguinius. He had brought them peace and togetherness under his name.
Lore also states that the culture and current customs on Baal are HEAVILY influenced by the angel.
There are holidays after him.
Culture is one of those things that has a million aspects, but my favorite to consider is obviously weddings!
I think that weddings were merely a concept before sanguinius arrived, but once he had and the people learned it was okay to love, couples united together left and right.
He used to attend more official and political weddings on baal, even going as far as to officiate a few of them. Now, this is handled by Dante.
At modern baalian weddings, women tend to string white feathers in their hair as a symbol of protection and honor from Sanguinius.
Much like a traditional American wedding, brides also wear white as a symbol of purity, something the angel had honored. The difference? Husbands wear white too!
Guests are to wear whatever they wish, as long as it honors the primarch, but the bride’s jewelry is traditionally gold.
engagement rings are ALWAYS made of ruby, to symbolize both the blood of sanguinius and a blood covenant between husband and wife.
I think that it’s also a coming of age event for all male Baalians who wish to be accepted by their tribes to make a journey to the sarcophagus of Sanguinius at their coming of age, probably naked to simulate what the angel himself had to go and fight through as a child.
Many young men hope that when they arrive they will hear his voice, or that the luckiest will receive a vision from his spirit within the warp.
Has Sanguinius seen any of them as worthy enough to see his spirit? That’s for you to decide ;)

Klingons & Racialisation - the Long Post
This post is an overview of the racial coding of the Klingons from their first appearance to the present day, illustrated by quotes from Trek writers, actors and crew members taken from the Memory Alpha article Depicting Klingons, with my own interjected summaries and explanations. It is by no means comprehensive (I likely missed some stuff), and does not offer critical analysis of the quotes provided, but nonetheless is intended to demonstrate irreproachably the open fact that Klingons have always been intentionally written and designed as non-white -- something that fandom consistently fails to take into account when perpetuating racist stereotypes and reiterating racist canon content. I recommend reading the whole article for a more in-depth understanding of the subject, as well as seeking out the existing writing of fans of colour. This post is primarily for reference purposes so I've tried to limit my own analysis and opinions, but I do post those in my Klingon tag as well as more general headcanons and worldbuilding and I'm happy to answer any (good faith) questions this post may raise.
As always, if I have overstepped in any way as a white fan in making this post, I am grateful to be informed and will make any required changes.
Content warning for outdated and offensive language under the cut.
The Original Series
"There is some suggestion that the Klingons represent a Cold Warrior's view of China in the 1960s – swarthy, brutally repressive." (Star Trek Magazine issue 153, p. 66) "And I think he was basing a lot of it on the kind of attitude of the Japanese in World War II...." ("Errand of Mercy" Starfleet Access, TOS Season 1 Blu-ray) The script of "Errand of Mercy" introduces the Klingon look by saying, "We see the Klingons are Orientals," "Spray my hair black, give me a kind of swamp creature green olivey mud reptilian make-up, and we'll borrow some stuff from Fu Manchu, and put a long moustache and eyebrows on me." ("The Sword of Colicos", Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - The Official Poster Magazine, No. 8) "I think the makeup was called 'Mexican #1 or #2.' That was the name of the original makeup foundation – they actually had kind of racist names at the time, like 'Negro #1' and 'Mexican #2' – which was the basis for the original Star Trek makeups." (Star Trek Magazine issue 172, p. 59) "In the original series, all they wore was a dark face and their black hair," Michael Westmore observed. ("Michael Westmore's Aliens: Season Two", DS9 Season 2 DVD special features) The Klingons' appearance changed within the original Star Trek series; although dark makeup and heavy eyebrows were the norm, the Klingons of "The Trouble with Tribbles" were much lighter-skinned and more Human-like in appearance.... He noticed that they are not only less like Mongol warriors by having less of a swarthy appearance but also by being slightly not as fierce... ("The Trouble with Tribbles" Starfleet Access, TOS Season 2 Blu-ray) "...they were meant to represent the Communist foes of the United States specifically during the Vietnam War, which was being controversially fought at that time. (Star Trek: The Original Series 365, p. 222) "...let us never set up a situation whereby those adversaries of ours [Klingons] give any indication of ever being anything but highly aggressive and self-seeking opponents." (These Are the Voyages: TOS Season Three)
Here it is explicitly stated that the Klingons were based on various Asian cultures, with the USSR also being mentioned heavily in the article. This influence and the use of "yellowface" is covered more comprehensively in this youtube video Klingons & The History Of Racial Coding. However, the video has some notable gaps which I hope to cover in this post.
Post-TOS (movies)
The Star Trek III portrayal of Klingons took inspiration from Japanese history. "Harve [Bennett] had the notion that the Klingons were like Samurai warriors," explained linguist Marc Okrand. (Star Trek: Communicator issue 114, p. 27) Robert Fletcher agreed with Bennett, later saying of the Klingons, "I always liked to think of them as authoritarian, almost feudal, like Japan had been." (The Making of the Trek Films, UK 3rd ed., p. 52) Regarding the make-up, Michael Westmore observed, "Until now, Klingons were brown. Some had a bony ridge running down the middle of their foreheads, long black wigs and facial hair." (Star Trek: The Next Generation Makeup FX Journal, p. 28) "I thought it was an ideal way for us to have our closure too, because the Klingons for us have always been the Communist Block, the Evil Empire. It just made sense to do that story." (The Making of the Trek Films, UK 3rd ed., p. 100) "Gene was really bothered by the Klingons in VI [....] [They] were, in his words, 'too civilized, too decent, too much of the good guys in the story.' [....] [The Klingon detente] was not the way Gene would have handled it. He would have reversed it, he would have had the Klingons being the ones who couldn't handle the peace, with the Federation saying, 'Come on, let's try and work this out.'" (Star Trek Movie Memories, hardback ed., p. 289) "The story never explored the Klingon culture the way I'd hoped it would [....] I was hoping for greater insight into the Klingons." (I Am Spock) Nimoy hoped, in specific, that the movie would provide some important insight into why the Klingons had "always been so angry, such nasty, vicious murderers." Nimoy wanted the insightful knowledge to be an intellectually transformational force, changing the thinking of Kirk and the audience. (Star Trek Movie Memories, hardback ed., pp. 287-288) In an interview in the DS9 Season 7 DVD, Robert O'Reilly observed that a long-running joke among actors who have played Klingons is that they do not want to appear in the Star Trek films as, he believes, the only purpose of a Klingon in one of the films was to be killed off.
Although these last three quotes may not seem relevant, I believe they highlight an important facet of the racialisation of the Klingons. It reads as though Gene Roddenberry was against depicting the Klingons in a more sympathetic light than the Federation, and considering that the Klingons are intended to be non-white, refusing to give depth or motive to their anger in favour of keeping them "nasty, vicious murderers" comes across as fairly racist, especially when these kind of reductive and harmful stereotypes could've been challenged as Nimoy suggests. The treatment of Klingons as disposable villains is also concerning in this context.
The Next Generation
African-American actors were often cast as Klingons in TNG and subsequent Star Trek productions. This practice wasn't racially motivated but was instead carried out because it lessened makeup time, as the performers already had a brown complexion without having to have their skin painted that color. (Stardate Revisited: The Origin of Star Trek: TNG, Part 2: Launch, TNG Season 1 Blu-ray) Tony Todd, who portrayed the recurring Klingon character Kurn, stated, "I don't look at the Klingons necessarily as African-Americans, but it's about tapping into something–they're certainly an alienated people, so maybe that's why African-American actors can identify with those characters. But that doesn't mean it's exclusive to them." (Star Trek: Communicator issue 116, p. 54) Michael Westmore actually changed the Klingon facial design in numerous ways, though. He stated, "I added a Shakespearean style of facial hair and a forehead bone structure based on dinosaur vertebrae and I was able to modify motion picture Klingons for television." (Star Trek: Aliens & Artifacts, p. 59) In "A Matter Of Honor", the Klingons were intended to be used to shed some light on a common social problem prevalent at the time of the episode's making. This was, namely, what it was like to be the only person of either white or black skin coloration while surrounded by people of the other color. The Klingons were selected to illustrate this theme as a spin on the usual arrangement of a predominantly Human crew serving aboard the Enterprise-D alongside Worf. (Captains' Logs: The Unauthorized Complete Trek Voyages, p. 176) Two historical societies, the Samurai and Vikings, served as other inspirations, Moore perceiving about Klingon culture, "There was the calm, elegant reserve associated with the Samurai but there was the 'party-down' like the Vikings." (Star Trek: Communicator issue 114, p. 58) "I stopped thinking of the Klingons as the Cold War adversary," he explained. "I didn't think it fit [....] The place where the Russians were when I was doing the Klingon shows just wasn't as relevant any more." (Star Trek: The Magazine Volume 1, Issue 19, pp. 64-65) "The Klingons are not evil, tyrannical pirates bent only on pillage and plunder. They have a strict, almost unyielding code of ethics and honor and take their responsibilities as rulers seriously." Following a description of the Klingon homeworld, the memo continued by saying, "Klingon society could most closely be compared to that of Sparta or feudal Japan." ("Sins of the Father" audio commentary, TNG Season 3 Blu-ray) Having recently seen the film Malcolm X, he imagined the Klingons in the "Birthright" duology as metaphors for black people. (Captains' Logs: The Unauthorized Complete Trek Voyages, p. 274; Star Trek: Communicator issue 105, p. 16) "There's a certain way you have to carry yourself. You have to really be able to project the violence and the anger [....] All you have to do is think of the Spartans. They say, 'They'd rather have you come home dead on your shield than come home a coward.' [18]
This is where I feel the video essay previously mentioned falls short -- in the next gen era, Klingons are now explicitly black-coded. While some Asian cultural influences are still cited, they learn more towards the historical and are intermixed with other historical European influences (Spartans, Vikings, Shakespeare) rather than being fueled by contemporary prejudices towards the political enemies of the US as they were in the TOS era.
Deep Space Nine
Fields also generally based the Klingon group on American Western prototypes from the film The Magnificent Seven or, to a lesser extent, Japanese prototypes from The Magnificent Seven's movie source material, Seven Samurai. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion (pp. 131-132)) "So, the hair [...] was permed. So, it had more of a curl instead of the straight type look, and by perming it, they were able to kind of give them larger, bigger hair, so it was more like a mane." ("Michael Westmore's Aliens: Season Two", DS9 Season 2 DVD special features) "I don't know how you could equate Klingons with what's going on in the world today," he admitted. "I think the intention was to make them like samurai. That hairdo they gave them is very much a samurai hairdo. A lot of the fight sequences, the moves with the bat'telh, are very much taken out of the Asian martial arts [....] It's very romantic you know, these three old guys, the Klingon over-the-hill gang." (The Official Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Magazine issue 15, pp. 17-18) "It was different for them to get into this makeup, because [...] [the makeup was more elaborate and] the beards were bigger, and they were greyer, and they had curls to them, and the moustaches, they had the Fu Manchu look to them. So, they weren't used to sitting that long to be a Klingon." ("Michael Westmore's Aliens: Season Two", DS9 Season 2 DVD special features) For recreating some old-style Klingons in "Trials and Tribble-ations", the Klingon-playing actors had to be made up with the same swarthy, shiny brown makeup as used in the original series. (The Magic of Tribbles: The Making of Trials and Tribble-ations) ...he had them unite in song, thinking this was "just the kind of thing that Klingons do" because they are, in his opinion, similar to Vikings. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion (p. 449)) "I always saw the Klingons as a combination of Japanese Samurai who haven't had their morning coffee (or tea!) and African Zulu warriors." [25]
In DS9 the only inspirations cited seem to be historical, once again leaning towards feudal Japan and the Vikings. Interestingly although the Klingons here are predominantly dark-skinned, I don't think that J.G. Hertzler, who is white, had his skin significantly darkened to play Martok (at least, not compared to the obvious brown makeup worn by other white actors playing Klingons). Having a white actor play a Klingon without dark makeup could've set a precedent decreasing the use of such practices later on, but no one seems to have picked up on it.
Enterprise
The Klingons of ENT: "Sleeping Dogs" were based on the crew of the Russian submarine Kursk. "For me," said Dekker, "the point was to acknowledge the Klingons as 'people' – to find them in a clear position of distress [....] The idea to 'humanize' their plight was mine, and it wasn't anything I thought about as far as canon. It just seemed right." (Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection, issue 41, pp. 10-12) In the final draft script of "Affliction", the altered Klingons were initially referred to as "fierce-looking aliens" and were further described thus; "The aliens have a swarthy complexion, and dark facial hair... they could easily be mistaken for Humans. We'll eventually learn these are Klinqons... but their cranial ridges have disappeared."
At this point in time it seems the Klingons had essentially done a 180 from one-dimensional villains to sympathetic fan favourites, while still retaining the skin-darkening aspect of their makeup and "barbaric" characterisation. Although this is not mentioned in the article's section on the Abrams films, the images provided do demonstrate a level of skin darkening for the Klingons' brief appearance in Into Darkness.
The final section of the article is incomplete, meaning I don't have a lot of information for Discovery's redesign of the Klingons. The sources I can find cite ancient civilisations such as the Byzantines as well as Islamic architecture as inspiration for the set design, with a baroque influence on the costumes. I have heard rumours that the crew of Discovery have cited North African cultures as their inspiration for the Klingons but I can't currently find a source for this. Despite the lack of direct quotes, it's visibly clear that the Klingon makeup is still darkening the skin of white actors, although this time also to non-human blue and purple colours, as well as altering certain features in a racialised way. To elaborate: Mary Chieffo, who plays L'Rell on Discovery, is white and has a very thin nose and small lips, but in costume these are broadened in a way that seems imitative of African ethnic features.
As of the making of this post (early August 2023) I haven't seen any of Strange New Worlds, but from some cursory research its latest episode (Subspace Rhapsody) seems to have put a white actor (Bruce Horak) in brown makeup to play a Klingon. I am deeply disappointed that on a television set in 2023 people can still be darkening an actors skin like this without questioning the racial implications of what they're doing.
Thank you for reading to the end of this post. Please feel free to link to it if you found it useful enough to cite in another context. I would like to reiterate that I am white and while this is an issue I care deeply about it is not one I have an emic understanding of, and if anything I've said here is inappropriate I would be very grateful to be made aware.
#ive tried to make this like. really formal to cover the fact that im fuckin Ragin at snw for doing literal fucking brownface in 2023#next up top ten things fans should Fucking Reconsider saying about klingon characters#anyway#i feel like as a white trekkie who's big into klingons there's this insane blindspot when it comes to The Racism#that ive only ever seen fans of colour talk about#so if i have one goal for this post its to try and reduce that blindspot a bit and give people something concrete to point to#when some fuckwits in their notes acting as tho ~theyre aliens so it cant be racist~#tlhIngan#ghItlhpu'wIj

Murderface Headcanons
Appearance, backstory, and other related hcs for my favorite stinky scrimblo.
He's 5'11", surprisingly tall. He's about a quarter of an inch short of 6 feet. Though, honestly he would look taller if he wasn't around Skwisgaar and Nathan all the time.
He's quite heavy, over 200 lbs. However, despite his physique, there's an surprising strength to him, especially in his arms. He worked outside for most of his life before joining Dethklok, and he retains some of that muscle to this day. However, he lacks the stamina and determination to ever really defend himself, and can't fight worth a damn.
He's around 28 years old.
He deals with eczema, specifically atopic dermatitis. He is unfortunately very bad about genuinely taking care of it, even though he has creams for it. He's just very stubborn.
How I draw his hair is more closely inspired by Geezer Butler, the bassist of Black Sabbath, whom Murderface is based off of. Dense dark brown curls, but Murderface as usual takes poor care of himself. His hair is dry, his scalp oily and rife with dandruff, and he rarely brushes it. As a result, its quite matted and frizzy, with lots of dead ends and uncontrolled curls.
Speaking of taking poor care of himself... He's a bit stinky.
Seriously. He doesn't shower enough. And rarely wears cologne or deodorant. Though, rather than necessarily being a gross slob, it comes from him never being taught to look after himself as a child. He was quite neglected, and so he never even was taught how to properly wash his hair or himself.
He grew up in the deep south, but his parents were living in Jersey before their demise. His grandparents' house is a simple one-story property, with white siding and a green roof. The windows were always covered with thick blinds, and the porch had a ramp up the three steps for Stella and Thunderbolt. An ancient porch swing that didn't exactly look safe anymore sat on their porch for as long as he could remember.
Stella and Thunderbolt Murderface were terrible hoarders. Really, the whole house was a maze of trash and rot. The second you stepped inside, you could smell the piss and shit from Stella's yappy little dogs that William always despised. How much of a fire hazard and generally unsafe environment it was influenced his interest in fire safety as an adult.
His grandparents abused and neglected him frequently. Murderface was never given affection, positive reinforcement, encouragement of any kind really, and not an ounce of acceptance or interest in who he was. It was always expected that he do whatever they say without question.. else his grandfather would get The Belt.
Murderface lived in the basement of the home, which was surprisingly one of the least cluttered parts of the house. He had his own bathroom and living area down there, on top of his room, and he spent most of his youth in that cellar. He picked up his first guitar, acoustic, at age 13, and bought a bass at 15. He's been playing ever since.
His internalized homophobia was heavily fueled by his abusive upbringing, and generally unaccepting environment. Murderface knew there was something different about him, but he always overcompensated for his bisexuality by fixating on perving on women. His childhood room's walls and ceilings were plastered with cut outs from nudie mags and the Victoria Secret and Sear's catalogues by the time he was 15.
He was a chronic bedwetter until he was almost 10 years old, and the ridicule and beatings as punishment didn't exactly help him improve. Part of his fixation on urinating in inappropriate places may be fueled by this trauma.. not to mention the cause of the bedwetting itself stemmed from the abuse he suffered at their hands to begin with.
He joined Dethklok a few months after he turned 18, and was almost 19 when Toki joined af 16. They've been close friends since Toki joined, being the two youngest members of the band. Despite their arguing, it's a beneficial relationship.
Personally, I like to think the band is in a big polycule, but Murderface and Toki (Warface) is one of my main pairings.
NSFW BELOW THIS
LAST WARNING
His main kinks are BDSM, degradation, humiliation, impact-play, pet-play, bondage, edging, masochism, and body worship.
He can get overly excited from the smallest things. Just a gentle touch on his arm, looking at him a certain way— it all gets him going. He's big on physical touch, though he would never admit it, and not only desires affection but gives it constantly. He caresses, touches, and kisses at any chance given. In general, he's very needy. Especially during sex, he wants all of your attention and affection and gets very upset when he's denied.
Mostly the submissive type, but he can get in a mood sometimes where he just needs to fuck. And he can be very aggressive about it. Because he's likely much bigger than most partners he'd have, he can overpower easily and be pretty rough if he's in the mood for it. Spanking, choking, hitting, biting, etc are all on the table with him.
When he's in a subby mood (which is usually), he's a total brat until he's pushed to the edge. Defiant, snarky, and mouthy. He'll disobey orders, talk back, and generally be a disobedient slut. That is, until he's edged, teased, and overstimulated enough. He'll go from complaining to begging pretty damn quickly.
When it comes to his downstairs... William is excessively hairy everywhere, but especially in his pubic area. There's a thick nest of hair above the base of his dick, so dark brown its almost black. He's about 6 or so inches in length, but he has a pretty.. well, girthy one for lack of a better word. It has to be big enough to play bass with, after all.
Yea. He has calluses. On his cock. Its Murderface idk what you expected.
He won't admit it, but he loves being on bottom with male partners.

I wrote a whole infodump on Herakles headcanons on a priv acc (yk for human version since I prefer to view the guys that way) so I’ll paste it all here cuz fun. It’s gonna be super disorganized and may not carry All of my ideas cuz it’s just me writing whatever came to mind in the moment but I’ll try to organize it the best I can from what I wrote. Also plz take into consideration that I’m not entirely following canon here and a load of it is headcanons with some of canon sprinkled in. Also this is a wip ig
I doubt anybody would read my word vomit cuz I didn’t bother to clean any of this up and my sentence structure is def abysmal as fuck but ig u could say I’m putting this here for my own sake but anyone else is free to read if u would like!!
cw talk of parental loss tho
Okay so I’m gonna ramble about names here cuz it interests me a lot. Obv I’m not Greek or in Greece I just have a deep interest in other cultures and like to research a lot and stalk forums and videos on experiences etc. My ideas may change over time as I learn more about the culture. He feels a bit more old-fashioned to me but anyways yeah nah if I happen to say anything innacurate plz lmk @ anyone who actually reads my word vomit haha
So anyways I def don’t see it as my place to bash on him being given the name "Herakles" cuz I Do know that in Greece they would seem to occasionally give Greek mythological names to ppl (ex: singer who's birth name is Artemios); but I noticed they most often use Christian names tho (also fun fact my irl name is the fem version of an old Greek saint and seems common there along with Hispanic countries that would often do the same lololol)
But at the same time I’d wanna assume that being named Herakles would kinda fuck u over since it would be a huge name to live up to. But that’s just me. Plus to me that adds to his overall life theme
Also I’ve mentioned this before but ppl for years would dunk on his surname claiming that it's "not a real Greek surname" when ... it actually IS, it's just super rare based on what I’ve collected. Admittedly ngly I’ve even been a part of this when I was a kid smh (See: Greek actress with the birth name Evgenia Karpouzi, the fandom would always use the spelling "Karpusi" but that's not language accurate to the more commonly taught Greek language romanization based on what I’ve learned.....
Anywho now onto headcanons and stories I like to apply to him lol
He seems the type whose mom is very huge in the historical arts and preservation field and might've been a Greek history professor and took a huge role in curating and preserving Ancient Greek ruins and artifacts...arranged heritage festivals and exhibitions etc.. Taught culture... Maybe pushed him to be very talented and knowledgeable as a kid and would actively pass down her own knowledge onto him and set pretty high standards for him while also spoiling tf out of him and also being caring yet not as present as a mother due to her career. He grew up very involved in the arts both creative-based and performance-wise but probably mostly the latter. He seems like the type who would be quiet and a bit of a loner at times but was also a lot more enthusiastic and expressive at times.
So anyways yeah not only does he suffer under the curse of living in the shadow of his mothers legacy and not meeting the public expectations in following in her footsteps but a lot of his life is basically formed around her and he wasn’t left with much room to actually form his own personal style due to how heavily influenced he was by her own interest and life path and her passing when he was idk 14 made it even harder for him to even try to let go of any of this cuz besides all of her leftover belongings and the collective community memory of her, it was all he had left of her from within himself so letting go of any of it to make more room for developing his own personal sense of style outside of her existence felt like betraying her or going against her wishes.
He feels deeply guilty for not taking on her legacy after her passing and following in her footsteps but he still does what he can to contribute here and there and still holds a load of pride in what he learns from her + what comes from his roots and besides hanging out with and feeding street cats he still has a lingering fascination and interest in philosophy and observing and maintaining historical sites not only cuz it’s great but also cuz it reminds him of her. It Would also make sense given how canonically he’s portrayed having a home that’s cluttered with his mom’s old things and artifacts that he never wants to get rid of since she passed while he was young.
As for his beef with Sadiq I see it as a ‘obnoxious goofy uncle and petty nephew’ sort of conflict lol. But I like to see it as like. Sadiq was a younger college student of his mom’s who would also do volunteer assistant work for her, so naturally he’d meet Herakles thru that. And with him being that type of guy would screw around with Herakles and poke fun at him yk like how those older guys would treat young kids sometimes and purposely provoke them in a joking yet annoying manner (I have lots of experience of this) and Sadiq himself never saw it as a big deal but yk Herakles Hated that shit and he’s the type to take that kind of stuff to heart. Also Herakles would envy the time he spends with his mom cuz here he is able to get involved with her work life and meanwhile Hera is being some kid at home who sometimes gets to go to his moms work sometimes.
And ooomfg when his mom passes u know damn well that envy turned into pure vitriol cuz Sadiq was able to spend more time around his mom before her sudden death. But Sadiq (still unaware of how deep this shit goes for Herakles) takes Herakles under his wing cuz he feels super bad to say the least.
Now Herakles has one of those large Greek families but he’s autistic* as shit so while he can be loud with them he’s also quiet and a bit of a loner at times so he’d be super reliant on his mother for initiating his interactions with others and she’d take a big part in involving him in family gatherings so u know damn well the second she was gone he didn’t know wtf to do anymore or how to connect with others on his own without her being an extra support lol yk like that one social person that helps interactions go smoother.
* yes I am aware that autism may present differently depending on culture but I’m autistic myself and am basing this on observations I’ve made thru autistic ppl I’ve known in different countries and who also have a similar familial dynamic culturally. Even tho I’m in the US I also have this experience myself with my Viet family members. No duh it’s not ‘just an autism thing’ but yk headcanons
Not to mention him being depressed as fuck over her passing and beginning to self isolate. And being so pitied by family members 24/7 SUCKED Ass so idk ig eventually (after many years and moments of Herakles mostly blowing people off) ppl began to avoid him and stopped inviting him to things like yk that sad thing that often happens whenever someone’s going thru a loss and ppl don’t know what to do about it. He’d ignore their invitations often for years. Of course they’d still try to call or send something or visit every now and then but only very occasionally. It’s like an ‘idk what to do’ sort of thing.
So yeah he’s an only child and was raised by a single mother with a busy and active life where he was always expected to become her shadow whether intended or not. Wow. But despite his family inching away from him, bro still has that younger Cypriot cousin who vibes with him and relates with his quietness and occasional loner behavior so he’d often hang around him cuz the rest of the family would overwhelm him sometimes, therefore even during this time he was the last to stick around for the most part and they’d often hang out in silence. He is a bit more chatty than Herakles tho at times. Idk his name yet. That one Cypriot cousin has a younger brother I think, who’d hang around Sadiq but Herakles’s a #hater and doesn’t really like him for that. He’s the type to threaten to cut ppl off from association and he gets petty and stubborn as hell and holds grudges like u cannot believe. Obviously despite his spite he does still care for Sadiq deep down. He says what he wants but he doesn’t actually wish the guy any real harm and would get super bothered and upset if anybody were to attempt to do so.
Oh yeah and I also mentioned before that I see him being narcoleptic lol *maybe* he occasionally dealt with cataplectic symptoms and it would make sense given how rarely he seems to express strong emotions but I still don’t know. I’m not as knowledgeable in cataplexy I admit. But he’s def on the narcolepsy spectrum and lacks a load of motivation and drive in his life overall. Some of it comes from his mildly nihilistic view on life and some of it is depressiveness and the inability to help himself more on his own accord. It probably took a lot for him to get on a stricter medication routine for it. He tries to take care of himself at the bare minimum but he still doesn’t quite cultivate the best or healthiest of habits. He’s often got others around him trying to help him out and check up on him. Think also of the comic strips of Ludwig trying to help him organize and clean his house and get his finances into check.
Idk how his mom died. Maybe it’s one of those things never spoken about but it was sudden and he was at home when it happened and just remembers it getting super late and dark and him wondering where tf she is each time he’d wake up and him attempting to call her work and go to voicemail each time.
Also back on the topic of his tendencies but Herakles can for sure be the sore loser and jealous type but only depending on whether or not the matter involves Sadiq. Otherwise he’s like eh whatever it’s fine I’ll get it next time) and as I said above he’s also got a somewhat nihilist mindset and wishes to just spend his time doing as he pleases lolll his philosophical info dumps would get mind breaking at times and he just drones onnnn and onnnn and on about it it’s like the kind of stuff that’d make u lie on ur back with ur hands behind ur head staring up at the sky like “yeah……..wow…😕” and would prob put u to sleep cuz he speaks in a slower and softer tone. And you’d prob experience a strange yet vivid dream in the moment. He’s got an ambient and nostalgic feel to his presence that’s hard to explain and melancholy yet oddly calming.
Oh also he still practices Orthodox Christianity besides being an atheist on the most part and not even following any religion or religious rules or moral code bc it’s what he was raised doing with his mom and he feels like it’s what she would’ve wanted lmfaooo I guess it’s for nostalgia’s sake and paying respects to her. Maybe he’s an atheist. Idk. Perhaps his philosophical ideals and stuff he’s learned influences his view on general spirituality and religion so in a way he feels like in the end all gods are all to reach a similar point and intention and are an outer extension/projection of our own subconscious beings and are vessels of hope and focal points for moral code and explanations for the world around us. Or maybe he just views them as beings created to give people’s lives purpose. Or he believes all things at once. Who knows what goes on in his mind.
As for his narcolepsy, his mom may have assumed at first that he was the type of child to nap a lot or that he was lazy, but over time she’d realize something is probably up and would recognize that he wouldn’t be able to help it most of the time and that he actually isn’t the lazy type and works hard when he can. She’d get called by teachers often yelling about his tendency of zoning out and sleeping in class and she’d just respond with “Oh yeah? Well maybe your class isn’t interesting enough if he’s always falling asleep in it!”
So yeah. A load of his life was built around her from the start, and he relied on her for a lot, I mean she’s his mom and all too and the only closer(?) family member in his life given that he’s an only child and has no father. The sudden change of her leaving completely threw his life off course so for years he’s been in some sort of endless state of limbo where he’s both apathetic both saddened yet he might not make it so obvious when around others. He just appears quiet, apathetic and carefree for the most part.
#honestly I don’t really expect anyone to see or engage with anything on this blog lol I mostly put everything here for myself hence why I#don’t put a lot of effort in presentation#hetalia#aph Greece#heracles karpouzi#heracles karpusi#aph turkey#aph Ancient Greece#sadiq adnan#aph cyprus#hetalia headcanons#talk tag#this is all subject to change in the future#bits and pieces I mean#also mb if I ever made any part not make sense or appear innacurate in any way#or if I worded anything bad#I put this up for myself really and don’t expect ppl to read it#hws hetalia#hws greece#human au#I guess? yeah#technically I know my ‘proper Romanisation’ mention is a bit dodgy since I’m still spelling it Heracles but I see that as kinda like a#Iynn minmay situation lol I know it’s wrong and it hurts me lowkey but also that’s what everyone knows it as on a very popular scale even#outside of the series. ling mingmei…. also I’m just ridiculous like that cuz karpouzi is spelled like that in irl cases anyways#rambling

thoughts on DATV - TL;DR i liked it and my issues are secondary to my enjoyment but i always love a mini essay...
a lot of this will be critique. it is also broken down by topic. spoilers below!
also apparently i'm updating this every time i think of something. eek!
Story Stuff
The Name Change (From Dreadwolf to Veilguard)
"We changed the name because the game is not about Solas." What did they mean by this? This was the Solas game - everything ties to him! Also Solas kinda is "the veilguard" since his life is tied to the veil so even then, really Makes You Think....
The Story Itself
Story was fine. The theme of choices was nice and how it tied to Solas/Rook and their mirror dynamic was also interesting. The strongest parts came from the lore drops. More people should have treated Rook like a flat earther for saying all that stuff with no proof. Ghilain'nain was more interesting/terrifying to me than Elgar'nan so his boss fight, while fun, was pretty ehh emotionally compared to fighting her Archdemon. I ended the game fairly satisfied with what I played.
(I also would have loved a bit more about Elgar'nan and Ghilain'nain's relationship! They're so interesting.)
The opening of the game was the weakest and I believe the end was the strongest. I wish the beginning didn't feel like such a slog - but sometimes you have to wade through mid to get to the juicy bits.
Rook
I liked Rook. I'm not bothered by a protag with a set personality. I heavily headcanon the things I don't like that they say so that is not make or break to ME. What did bother me (which I'll talk more about in the companion section) is how separated they felt from their companions compared to all of the previous games. This is partially because of the lack of dialogue trees and also the way the companions interact with each other.
The Inquisitor
I believe the game would have benefited if the Inquisitor was more heavily involved - as an advisor, as a secondary protagonist, etc. This is because they are an integral part of getting the good/true ending - Rook uses them as an emotional battering ram, whether they were friends with him or his romance partner.
Rook (at least to me) does not have the emotional ties to Solas to believably care about his redemption. All we have now is the Inquisitor going "he's my friend...." which might have more weight had the Inquisitor been advising them instead of just being in a handful of scenes. Solas has done nothing but lie to Rook and put them in fade prison. Why should they care? Give me more to justify this other than whatever feelings I may/may not have about Solas based on the previous game.
The Ending
The ending cutscene felt like The End of Dragon Age. It felt like saying goodbye and that was very bittersweet to me... until the secret ending came up. It felt like a complete tonal shift and I'm not gonna lie - I did not like that. "Ohh secret figures who have been influencing the world the whole time." It was very weak after a cutscene that emotionally wrecked me.
Maybe if DA5 happens we'll be elsewhere - somewhere not on Thedas. I'd like to give them a break after the Superblight. Maybe we'll learn more about the Qunari and the first expedition and whatever the fuck made them leave and wind up on Thedas. Anything other than the secret figures.
Companions & Romance
I loved the companions and how they were used. They were establishing relationships outside of Rook in ways I haven't seen in the previous games. I appreciate that because it feels less like a team that is solely held together by their relationships with the protagonist.
Ironically, the connections between companions made Rook feel less connected to all of them. The Varric thing only works because no one properly checks in on them. They've got a book club going on that Rook is not in. There is more reaction to companion/companion or npc/companion romance than to Rook and their romance partner.
I also do wish I got more from the companions. I like dialogue trees and asking questions outside of the cutscenes. It sometimes felt like their whole self was wrapped around their personal quest. I miss being able to walk up to companions and ask them question after question and learning things about them outside of whatever is going on in their personal quests that way.
Quick thought on romance: Overhyped in pre-release materials. Not bad, just not nearly as much content as I thought I'd get with the way they talked about it being "the most romantic" DA had ever been.
Lore Stuff
The Elves and the Dwarves
This game finally gave me answers for the mysteries around dwarven lore, which was sorely lacking throughout the franchise. Since we've learned so much about elves and their history I'm not sure how I feel about dwarven lore being directly tied to them. It made me so excited to learn and I ultimately do like this lore, but I was also kind of hoping that whatever happened with the Titans was isolated from other things going on.
Speaking of, the elves in our party (and those outside of it) are not given emotional beats to digest all of this. Why? Core belief systems are being challenged and it feels like people are just accepting it. Harding's lyrium twin has a whole breakdown and the most we get from Bellara is her wondering if their history is worth remembering (don't like that I can influence her choice here).
I have not finished my dwarf run as of writing this, but I hope dwarven Rook gets a chance to confront Solas or the other two about it.
The Elven Gods & Faith in Thedas
This makes me feel CRAZY. The Golden City is an actual building. The Tevinter "old Gods" where the elven gods whispering at them to try and free them. I loved this lore! Every faith system in Thedas is falling apart and it's all built on the elves! Truly flavorful.
The Gay People In My Eluvian
In some previous DA games, your protagonist & their companions could be the only LGBT+ people you ever meet (DA2 was crazy for hiding Anders' relationship with Karl from FemHawke). In this game, you have Flynn who uses they/them pronouns, you meet trans characters in the Shadow Dragons, your companions can get into gay relationships or had them in the past - it makes the "playersexual" (hate that term) companions feels less like a game mechanic to maximize romance potential and more like an active choice.
Race in Thedas (and in our world)
I've seen many people say that the racism in Tevinter was de-fanged. This does not bother me because I do not like being called fantasy slurs (part of the reason I mainly play humans), but I think it could also be the area of Tevinter we're in. We're hanging around a place where the Shadow Dragons operate. They fight slavery, blood magic, all kinds of ills. Could it be that they are having a positive influence?
(but this post describes the issues with how DATV incorporated race)
My main concerns are the ways IRL racism mixes in. The outfit they have Isabela in is orientalist. Taash's Rivaini Hero armor is orientalist. Everything about the Antaam feels racial as hell. Rook can't be darkskinned (the darkest you can get is brownskinned). It is disappointing to see the care they put into gender/sexuality and how it is represented only to not do the same with race.
Antivan Crows
I think having this organization be one that is staunchly patriotic would have been interesting if, but can we get an explanation as to why/how they ended up this way? Someone who has not played any of the previous game would have no idea this organization buys and sells children and tortures them to create the perfect assassins. Now, every house has different techniques, maybe it was just House Arainai that does that weird shit, but it's just so different from what we know with no real explanation. I like to think that Zevran taking out Crow heads caused this change because it makes me smile.
Misc
Character Creator
I already made a post about this the day after I made Kane but to reiterate (and add things I didn't talk about):
The part that improved on the DAI creator really IMPROVED on the DAI creator
I loved the body shape options - let my ass be bigger tho
A lot of people hyped up the black hair options but I was honestly disappointed in them
I miss the eye and mouth shapes!
Wanted more options for regular, none decorative scaring
Ranges for sliders were very meh
That head thing SUCKED
Combat
Mo Post Seers already know I loved the combat. I do wish I could still have direct control over party members, mostly because I like to try different things in combat. The aggression needs to be fixed. Not fair that my poor mage's cheeks got clapped every 2 seconds. That fucking big ass ogre was ON their ass and they weren't even doing damage because I only had time to roll! Attack someone else!
Worldstate
I don't care that everyone has already talked about the worldstate thing. Here's how I think worldstate importing could have benefited the game:
A living HoF - they could have come from their retirement to fight the Superblight. Inquisitor could have received news about it and relayed it to Rook.
A dead warden - their urn/monument/whatever could have been seen briefly in Weisshaupt (but I did appreciate the joining cup).
Warden Carver or Bethany - Don't think I even need to explain with the Superblight everywhere.
Kieran - I just think a cameo of him now that's he's grown could have been interesting. They don't even need to bring up my Warden I just want to see my little boy again....
Inquisitor's friendship or rivalry with Solas - this could have added some nuance to how Solas talks about the Inquisitor. Imagine a friend who wants to stop him no matter what or a rival that wants to save him? Let me cook!
This is already long af so let's stop here <3 Imagine if it didn't go through development hell. Please give me a DLC.

I have once again realized I can draw whatever I want, so I did just that. Happy Birthday to Katarina Claes, may she celebrate this St. John's day by eating all the lightly charred bonfire-roasted corn she can handle and dancing quadrilha with her friends all night long.
São João (St. John's day) is a sort-of harvest festival where I live, so I think it fits our Bakarina perfectly. Since it's a traditional festival heavily influenced by rural Brazilian culture, my headcanon is that Maria is the one who introduces her to the customs, since the holiday falls on the same day as Katarina's birthday -- and Katarina gets slightly obsessed with it and is dead set on having a thematic birthday party (since there's no way her mother would let her celebrate out there with the commonfolk). She grew all that corn by herself for months in preparation!
I really wanted to make a big piece featuring everyone because it's such a huge party with a lot of nuance and drawing outfits for the harem would've been a lot of fun, but I am swamped with work so this was all I could do. Oh well, there's always next year!
Also:
Dances throughout the festival surround "quadrilha". Most of these dances emerge from 19th-century Europe, which were brought by the Portuguese. The "quadrilha" features couple formations around a mock wedding whose bride and groom are the central focus of the dance.
You guys have no idea how much I wanted to draw the entire cast dancing quadrilha. I even had an entire fic about how the whole thing was put together. As the only other commoner aware of the customs, Raphael would offer to be the Master of Ceremonies. Geordo would beg for him and Katarina to be the main couple and then nearly have a fit when Katarina decided Maria should be the bride (because it's her birthday and she gets to call the shots). Everyone else would then scramble to be Katarina's pair, but then Katarina, in a scheme to figure out who Maria is pursuing romantically, would redirect the conversation and ask Maria to pick someone for the role of groom. And then Maria would pick her, and everyone would lose their shit.
So the pairs would be:
Katarina and Maria as the groom and bride
Mary and Alan as the second couple (not as important as the wedding couple but these roles show up a lot)
Sophia and Nicol (the pairs don't have to be romantic and these two are more in sync with each other than with anyone else)
Very begrudgingly, Geordo and Keith (they are Not Happy about this)

Hi there! I was wondering, do you have any thoughts on the briclot concept art, for example, from the point of view of Loki's character? What did the artist want to say with it? Idk, I just like it a lot but I don't really know how to analyze costumes, and I feel it might be interesting to hear an opinion of a professional. Anything to share? 💚
So I'll start at the source, with what Aleksi said about this concept on his FB! (he generally does not talk as much about the thought process behind his work as some of the other vis dev people but that's okay!)
It seems like initially, in the early development states of Ragnarok, they were going for a much darker, Norse-Viking-fantasy aesthetic not unlike The Dark World, but even more gritty (which I would have killed for, but here we are). The materials and colours here are definitely the right vibe for that, and there are three or so other Loki concepts that have a similar feel.
Anything more than what Aleksi said here is kinda up for interpretation, since we just don't know. I definitely see a look that is still heavily influenced by previous costumes--the leather criss cross layers, the gold torque at the chest, the asymmetry of the skirt panels--but it's also veering away from the gleam of Asgardian armour and the focus on gold.
This costume brings out more green (Loki's signature colour), but it's been calmed down, desaturated, and if I may venture a stretch of the imagination--tinted with blue. Blue, of course, is the colour of Loki's Jotun form; so whether this is intentional or not as nod to that, I like to headcanon that it's some sort of acknowledgement or acceptance of the duality of Loki's nature.
This look is also much much more worn; it feels like something that's not just for fighting, but for travelling in harsh climates (could the fur be for Jotunheim?). There's less metal armour--less weight and less need for protection in battle--but the leather is heavy and layered and would be a protection against the outside elements. The leather carving on the chestpiece is particularly interesting to me because the linework is not quite what we've seen before in Asgardian style, which is all intricate knotwork; this is a little more simplistic, a little sharper and more geometric, and it almost reminds me of the lines on the Casket of Ancient Winters and the pedestal it rests on:
Is it deliberate? Who knows! But it's fun to think about!
The other thing I noticed is the metal bits on the hands—they do vaguely resemble the Mjolnor symbol—and again, whether it’s intentional I don’t know, but I do see a resemblance!
The fur cape is my favourite, because my eyes see not just fur but feathers. In the comics, Loki is also associated with birds (the magpie), and in both the MCU and mythology there are associations between ravens and Asgard. So I like the idea of the cape being this beautiful blend of creatures, a symbol of multiple natures and change and shapeshifting and adaptability and all those things that Loki is. I could probably keep going, but those are my main thoughts! And I think it's important to reiterate that this is interpretation more than anything; I don't know what the artist intended or how much symbolism is truly in the costume, but I enjoy projecting my own ideas onto it!

Child of Sardior's General SM AU infos
- General Informations about my personal HC/AU -
So, since my HC/AU is quite big, I felt like a post in which I could summarize all the general info would probably help! So, here we are!
(This is a WIP. I’ll update this post with any relevant info that will came to my mind. I might change, remove, or add details at any time.)
About my Headcanon/AU VS the Canon of the games
The general setting takes place in the “Super Mario world.” Not all events from the games have actually happened in my AU. I tend to include in “my canon” the games and events that I liked the most and that make the most sense for the stories I want to tell. However, all events are reimagined in a more “headcanon” style, sometimes staying very similar to the original games and sometimes being heavily modified for narrative purposes (and based on my personal tastes).
Some of the stories we saw in the various Mario RPGs (Mario & Luigi, Paper Mario, etc.) have happened in my AU (there is no distinction between various “parallel universes” like the paper world or the three-dimensional world; here there is just one "Super Mario" who went on many adventures and has many friends all over the world and dimensions). Currently, I am sure that the following RPG games' storylines are canon in my AU as past events: Paper Mario RPG, Paper Mario: TTYD, Super Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (including Bowser’s Minions), Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story (including Bowser Jr’s Journey), Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. (I’m playing "Super Mario RPG Remake" right now, so I might add it to the list once I finish it!)
Other games' events are also canon (and reimagined), such as most of the Super Mario Bros. events, the main 3D games (from 64 to Odyssey) and Yoshi's Island backstories.
I do not consider games that I am unfamiliar with or that clash with my vision of my AU world as canon here, but some parts of them may be included in other contexts! For example, some dialogues of the Koopalings in Paper Jam or the battles with the Koopalings in Color Splash have probably happened in my AU, but in different contexts compared to the storyline of the games (maybe Bowser didn't make all that chaos for the painting stars, but surely Mario and Larry fought on that train once.)
Additionally, there are many original events that I have introduced, including OCs. Some of these influenced some "canon games events" in a heavy way in my AU.
Timeline(s) covered
The exact timeline of my personal setting/AU is heavily WIP, but I'm quite sure it spans from the time Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach and co. were just kids to a distant future in which Bowser Jr. will become the new Koopa King and his siblings will rule over their own castles along with their new families and all.
I will probably focus a bit more on the current times - the one my main HC/AU character posts refers about - but you will likely see flashbacks of the various characters or sneak peak of the next generation from time to time! ;v;
What my AU will focus on
My AU covers the entire Mario world from my personal perspective (a gigantic headcanon that I started working on when I was a small kid! It’s filled with self-indulgent stuff and OCs ^v^).
However, primarily (and currently), my main focus will be on the Royal Family of the Dark Lands: Bowser and his children. A large space will also be dedicated to some of my OCs, often related to the Royal Family.
A lot of things will also happen from Bowser & co. perspective, too!
General Information about the Royal Family (Bowser and co.) in my HC/AU
In my HC/AU, Bowser has adopted the seven Koopalings when they were kids and has one biological son, Bowser Junior.
Bowser Junior and the Koopalings are step-siblings. They share the same mother (one of my main OCs). Bowser Junior is the Official Heir and is considered a notch above the Koopalings, but they are still considered Princes.
Bowser, as in the games, is infatuated with Princess Peach and has been trying to convince her to marry him for years, unsuccessfully. However, he might have (or might have had) other love affairs in the future (or in the past)... (you’ll find out ;3)
Kamek has raised Bowser since he hatched from his egg, under the orders of his parents, the Koopa Emperor and the Queen Consort.
Bowser has yet to meet his biological parents, but they are both alive and live in a volcanic region far from the Mushroom Kingdom and the Dark Lands.
From Bowser's perspective, being the "bad guy" is the right thing to do for a strong ruler. It will also apply to the Koopalings, their PoV being influenced a lot by the way they were rised. But in my setting the Koopa Family is not inherently evil. Some of them are extremely arrogant (Ludwig, Roy, even Junior... I'm talking to you) or just extremely childish (Lemmy, Larry... Junior again?) or... well, let's say they never learned to behave or don't care (right, Iggy?), but they all have hearts and sentiments and their whole complex characters and stuff and will probably be and do "less evil" than in the games here.
General Information about the Heroes (Mario, Luigi, Peach…) in my HC/AU:
Peach and Daisy are cousins in this setting. Their respective fathers were brothers. They are very close, even though Daisy lives in the Sarasaland Empire and cannot visit her cousin very often.
Peach became an orphan at a young age. In compensation, she had an adopted sister, one of my most important OCs: the future mother of the Koopalings and Bowser Jr.
Mario and Luigi were raised by the Yoshis in their early years. Because of this, they speak the Yoshi language fluently. At some point, the Yoshis of the village managed to find the brothers’ parents and “return” them after the Stork from the Adoption Center had lost their address.
All of Mario’s friends (partners) from the RPG games are canon in my AU (especially friends from Paper Mario).
Toads are a much more varied Species than in recent games. They have various names, slightly different shapes and appearances, and are often named after mushrooms. There is a Toad named “Toad” who is a friend of Mario, but only he is called like that (similar to the first name “Guy” IRL). Mario also knows a Koopa named Koopa the Quick. Mario knows a lot of people with generic names for some reason.
General Information about Geography:
For the overall geography of the world, I will use the continent layout from Mario Odyssey. However, for the Mushroom Kingdom and nearby kingdoms, I will mainly use the Kingdoms shown in New Super Mario Bros Wii. Some names will reference worlds from Super Mario Bros Wii U.
(NOTE: One day, if possible, I’ll make a sketch of the Mushroom Kingdom and the 8 Main Kingdoms).
The Dark Lands are relatively close to the Mushroom Kingdom and are among the 8 Main Kingdoms in the area.
In general, the kingdoms present in other “Super Mario” games probably exist in the world but are not among the 8 principal kingdoms near the Mushroom one. For example, the "Pipe World" is considered a maze of pipes and sewers in the Mushroom Kingdom. Giant World exists somewhere, probably as an exotic island.
Places mentioned or seen in the 90’s Super Mario Super Show series might appear. In that case, they will be heavily reimagined in a "Headcanon" style.
Finally, some locations will be invented by me.
***
IMPORTANT: I will update this post when needed. I could edit it all or change it completely if I feel like it, so feel free to check it from time to time!

Headcanon: Gooey and the Animal Friends are decently easy at forgiving ex-villains
Remember when I wrote a tumblr post about my headcanon of Bandana Waddle Dee being a big 'hater' that hasn't forgiven the ex-villain dream friends because of the trust issues that he has for them?
Well, these guys are significantly different in that regard.
When it comes to forgiving ex-villains, Gooey and the animal friends are better than most at doing that. They certainly have a much easier time forgiving people than Bandana Waddle Dee does, and it's also easier for them to forgive certain people than it is for the likes of King Dedede, Meta Knight and others. Yeah... these fellas are quite chill!
That's not to say that they don't have any wariness when meeting ex-villains, though... they will actually try to assess the person before immediately forgiving them, but they're not incredibly strict when doing these assessments, and ultimately they are no grudge-holders.
Well, maybe Gooey could be considered an exception on assessing. He's not exactly the deep thinking type. Generally speaking, he's easily influenced by Kirby and is the quickest out of these bunch to forgive someone because of that, unless by some very rare chance that the animal friends end up having doubts about someone and attempt to cajole Gooey to continue staying on the fence about it.
That hasn't been the case for any of the dream friends that used to be villains, though. The animal friends and Gooey have ended up ultimately forgiving all of the dream friends that went up against Kirby in the past, and don't hold grudges against any of them.
For the remainder of this post, I'm going to summarize how Gooey and the animal friends think of each and every of the ex-villains.
This post will be long, so I'll put a 'Keep reading' tag down below.
First, let's start with Daroach.
When Kirby had Daroach first meet Gooey and the animal friends for the first time, they forgave him easily. Hilariously enough, I headcanon that before the animal friends met Kirby, some of them used to be worse people and have, uh, committed robberies before, so it's not like they even had a lot of room to judge Daroach anyways.
Daroach has been getting along quite well with the animal friends... with Nago having used to be an exception at first. Initially, Daroach didn't exactly get along with Nago, with the reason being that the Squeaks don't like cats. For a little while at first, he'd have felt uncomfortable if Nago got too close to him or any of the other Squeaks, out of a secretive fear that he may suddenly attack them. They have been attacked by cats before, hence their dislike for them.
That definitely hasn't ever happened with Nago, though. He's a nice kitty! In my interpretation, Nago is perhaps the nicest of the animal friends, as he's very gentle and wouldn't even hurt a fly for the most part. He's never had any intention of doing anything to Daroach and the Squeaks, and once enough time has passed, they've warmed up to him just like how they've warmed up to the other animal friends.
Out of the animal friends, Rick is the one that Daroach is closest friends with. These two especially got along like a house on fire, due to both them being rodents, and that they've both got quite the knack of occasional mischievous goofiness. Daroach also has quite the liking for Kine and Coo as well, since they're also animalistic adults that aren't immune to doing some minor tomfoolery with him.
Next, let's go over how these guys handle Magolor.
Before Magolor returned to Dream Land (hah!) to make his grand apologies, King Dedede had told the animal friends and Gooey about the incident. They were all heavily freaked out by it, Coo especially.
With the information they've been given, they were admittedly cautious at first when they finally met Magolor himself. However, when Magolor expressed his regret to them about what he did, as well as the fact that both Kirby and Dedede have grown to take really well to him at the time, they've come to warm up and accept him.
Overall, Magolor is on decent terms with Gooey and the animal friends. The one he's closest friends with would be Kine, as he sometimes likes to hype Kine up as some fantastic fish that can kick ass and take names. Pitch and ChuChu also quite like Magolor, though, as they're silly kids that ask Magolor to do clever or funny things for them to see. Gooey gets a lot of head-pats from Magolor.
It also helps that in my headcanons for the events of Star Allies, there were moments where Magolor fought right alongside Rick, Kine, and Coo while they and the rest of the alliance ravaged through Jambastion. The animal trio to witness Magolor's fighting capabilities, and there was a moment where he saved Rick from a grim fiery fate in the hands of Flamberge. Thus after Star Allies, Gooey and the animal friends grew more appreciation for Magolor.
Taranza up next.
Gooey and the animal friends watched the Dreamstalk form from afar. They were highly shocked by its presence, although they did also notice Kirby flying in a warp star throughout it, assuring them that he was getting the situation taken care of like he always does. They didn't know who Taranza was until after the situation was fixed.
Some time after Triple Deluxe, Kirby introduced Taranza to the animal friends and Gooey. They were able to forgive him when he explained his actions, as well as mentioning the loss that he's recently just had.
The animal friends and Gooey.... feel really sorry for Taranza. They even told him that he's welcome to come to Dream Land and hang out with them any time if he wants to. He does end up doing that sometimes. He's come to really like these guys, as he's a fellow animal just like they are and he has a mutual interest in occasionally doing some playful messing around. They were even courteous enough to give him a visit at his home in the Floralian island of Royal Road!
Nago and ChuChu are the two animal friends that Taranza likes the most out of them. Nago gives him many soft hugs, and ChuChu is a fellow flora enjoyer with a more-than-usual amount of limbs. Taranza also comes to have quite a soft spot for Gooey, too. Hilariously enough, he wouldn't really even care if Gooey were to give him a lick!
Now let's go over Susie.
When the Access Ark made its attack on Popstar, it HORRIFIED the animal friends and Gooey as they witnessed it. However, despite the initial scare they had, they managed to successfully keep themselves sheltered during the invasion. They laid low and were lucky enough to keep themselves out of sight from any of the HWC's army. They never encountered Susie during the invasion, and thus they didn't know about her existence at the time until after Kirby resolved this crisis.
Some time after Planet Robobot, as Kirby brought Susie over to have a tour across Popstar to let everyone know that she's now his friend, he introduced her to Gooey and the animal friends. At first, they freaked out when they learned she was who instigated the invasion... but they've forgiven her when she reassured she's now Kirby's friend and won't attack Popstar ever again. These guys don't hold a grudge.
Susie didn't say it to them at first meeting, but they've eventually come to learn about her past. Needless to say, her daddy issues and ruined childhood were things that were deeply harrowing to them all.
ChuChu has grown to really like Susie a lot. Out of the animal friends, ChuChu is definitely the one that Susie is closest friends with, something about cute pink girls having cute pink girl fun. Susie also came to consider Gooey a friend, too. She isn't too close with the other animal friends, though, other than them being nice acquaintances. Susie doesn't live in Popstar, so she only sees them during her Popstar vacations, but ChuChu is always happy to see her.
Let's mention Marx next.
In my headcanons, Marx reappears in Popstar shortly before Star Allies to finally make up with Kirby. When Kirby starts to introduce Marx to all his other friends, Gooey and the animal friends were the first ones that he went to. And, well, Marx has grown to become pretty close buddies with these guys ever since he had first met them.
They had absolutely zero idea about the events of Milky Way Wishes beforehand. When they learned about it upon first meeting Marx, it barely mattered to them, since it was a long time ago by that point.
I do have a separate tumblr post that goes over Marx's dynamics with these guys, and I won't cover all that detail in here. To summarize, however, they think he's the funniest person in the universe and are willing to join him in doing sillies, but they also keep him in check from going too far in messing with others. They share a role with Magolor in acting like Marx's 'supervisors' to make sure he behaves.
That being said, Gooey and the animal friends love Marx. They enjoy spending time with him. It also helped out a lot when he often stayed right alongside Rick, Kine, Coo and Gooey during Star Allies! That was one time where they enabled all of his antics, since they were all busy fighting dirty against a doomsday cult that threatened them all.
WAVE 1 FRIENDSHIP, BABY!
Next up to go over is Dark Meta Knight.
These guys didn't meet DMK before Star Allies and had only done so afterwards. Upon first meeting them, they wondered why the hell he looked like Meta Knight so much, until it was explained to them that there's literally a mirror world where everyone has counterparts. They had literally no idea about the events of Amazing Mirror beforehand.
Out of the ex-villain dream friends, DMK is the one that has the least to do with Gooey and the animal friends. He's largely indifferent about them. They don't hold a grudge over his actions in Amazing Mirror and have technically forgiven him like Kirby did, but they themselves don't really think much about him either. DMK lives in the mirror world instead of Popstar, so he rarely sees these guys anyways.
However, one particular interaction is that they've, uh, witnessed his artistic capabilities (or lack thereof, lol). Adeleine is one of the few people that DMK is friends with, and she cajoled the animal friends and Gooey into watching him draw. They did find it to be amusing.
Now, let's go over the mage sisters and Hyness.
Considering that Rick, Kine, Coo and Gooey participated in the events of Star Allies, they experienced the cult's villainy up close.
When they fought the mage sisters, they trolled them as Marx was right alongside them to encourage them to troll the cult. However, they had a couple of really dire close calls. Rick was close to being incinerated by Flamberge (where, earlier in the post, I said that Magolor saved him from that), and Kine was very close to getting brutally electrocuted by Zan Partizanne, but luckily both situations were ultimately prevented from going horribly south for them.
The animal trio and Gooey were absolutely MORTIFIED to witness Hyness weaponizing the mage sisters and sacrificing them to Void Termina, however. It was some extremely harrowing shit that they've never experienced before. Gooey might not be the best attention-payer, but he himself was pretty dang horrified by all of these horrors.
After Heroes in Another Dimension, the animal friends and Gooey came to forgive the mage sisters and Hyness, and were glad to help make sure they got out of everything okay. Nago, ChuChu and Pitch met the cult after HiAD since they were not in the star alliance, and although they freaked the hell out when learning all the things that happened, they came to accept the cult's acquaintance as well.
That being said, despite forgiving the cult, Rick and Coo are still admittedly unnerved by the fact that Francisca vocalizes about keeping her frozen trophy collection. Not that they're seriously bothered by it, though. Kine however has grown to become legitimate friends with Francisca, as she gives him free drinks from her soda gun. Rick and Coo tell Kine to be careful when that occurs.
Between the animal friends and the mage sisters, the closest friendship out of them would be Kine and Francisca. Another notable friendship here would be Pitch and Zan Partizanne, considering that Pitch is a silly little shit that likes giving people nicknames, and he was delighted when he learned that Zan also nicknames people a lot.
Like Susie, the cult does not live in Popstar, since the Jambastion fortress is still concentrated somewhere else in the cosmos. However, also like Susie, the cult does take vacations in Popstar, so those are the occasions that Gooey and the animal friends see them.
Last, but certainly not least, let's go over the Beast Pack here.
During Forgotten Land, the animal friends and Gooey freaked out about what could've happened to Kirby, since he was sucked to somewhere else outside of the planet during the time. They were, of course, more than delighted to see he was okay at the end of it all.
These guys became fast friends with Elfilin when Kirby first introduced him to them. Elfilin isn't a part of the Beast Pack, but the reason why I mention him here is because he's how the animal friends and Gooey could visit the New World and meet the Beast Pack in the first place. He's willing to open up portals for them to welcome them to the New World. (hahahaha!! pun totally intended!!!!)
When Gooey and the animal friends met the members of the Beast Pack, it wasn't too hard to forgive them. They also expressed how they were glad that Kirby was able to save Leon and that he's okay.
The Beast Pack came to really like the animal friends. Heck... they even went as far to try to INVITE the animal friends to join the Beast Pack. The animal friends had no interest in accepting the invitation, though, but they'd have appreciated the kind gesture nonetheless.
Nago has come to really like Carol and Leon. Something about being fellow cats like he is. As a result, he's the animal friend that likes the Beast Pack the most. Well, that as well as the fact that Pitch and ChuChu think that Sillydillo is a friggin' hilarious thing that they enjoy.
That just about wraps up everything I have for this post!
Wow, this was quite a big post wasn't it? Even I didn't anticipate it being this huge. To be fair, I'm aware I can end up being kinda wordy with these posts, as I know I often put 'Keep reading' tags in them.
So, in short, Gooey and the animal friends are no grudge-holders and can easily forgive ex-villains. That being said, I also headcanon they're often bewildered by all the increasingly serious incidents in modern Kirby games, as well as freaked the hell out by all the various and insane trauma that Kirby's newer friends (Kumazaki characters) have been through. Like, bro, these guys lived more simpler lives and they can hardly fathom all the shit that the newer folks went through!
Thank you if you've read this post! As always, stay tuned for me.

Headcanons for what Marty and Jennifer are like as parents, and how Doc/his family interact with the kids?
Anon, this is such a late reply, and I'm sorry. I'm making a concerted effort to finally get to some of the asks I've been neglecting.
Also, I'm almost positive that I once made a post of Marty and Jen as parents headcanons, but I must have forgotten to add a link in my pinned post, and the Tumblr search function is useless, so I can't find it. Anyway, I may end up repeating some of what I put in there or even contradicting it, lol.
Of course, I'm going with the improved, happy Jen and Marty marriage timeline for this. So, as parents, they're a pretty united front. They're both very involved in all aspects of the kids' lives from the start and excited to embark on such a wonderful journey for their family.
Being first-time parents and also having twins leaves Marty and Jen utterly exhausted for, like, a solid year or two. They're happy, but they're tired. As such, they're sure to divide up the work, take over for the other when needed, and also rely pretty heavily on family for support. Jen's parents help out a lot, as do George and Lorraine. I can see Aunt Linda and Uncle Dave stopping by a good deal as well to help with tasks around the house or just watch the twins for a little while so Marty and Jen can sleep.
Doc and Clara play a very big role in the kids' lives! Of course! Doc and Clara love those McFly kids!!! Makes me lose my mind to think about. They don't even wait to be called upon or anything; they just show up at the house, announce they're taking Junior and Marlene for the day, hand a home-cooked meal to Jen and Marty, and then leave. Marty and Jen are incredibly thankful for their help, and Doc and Clara love having babies around again.
Doc is like the very chaotic uncle, but in like...the most responsible way. He's got Dad-Mode down pat at this point, and he slips right into it with Junior and Marlene, but he also knows how to let them have some (supervised) wild fun. He plays games that teach them science concepts and lets them help with small projects of his when they're able to do it safely. He also reads lots of Jules Verne to them. Marty definitely calls Doc one day and goes, "Junior and Marlene are playing an elaborate game of Around the World in 80 Days outside. Can I assume this is your influence?" The kids also start digging a giant hole in the yard at some point, and that's how Marty and Jen know they've started reading Journey to the Center of the Earth.
Clara absolutely dotes on the twins every opportunity she gets. They both find such comfort in her presence and love spending time with her. She has a special place in her heart for Junior. On nice nights, she takes Junior and Marlene outside to sit on blankets and look at the stars. She teaches them about the constellations and the stories that go with them.
Okay, this is something I know I mentioned in that other post I can't find: Marty writes individual songs for Junior and Marlene that he sings to them at night. It starts off as something he does to help them sleep at night, but it's a tradition that continues until the kids are much older.
Jennifer likes to involve the kids in as many experiences as possible, so she's always looking for little art classes they can take, museums to take them to, hobbies to introduce to them, etc. She also sets aside days every so often where she just takes one kid along for an afternoon of doing something special with them that align to their interests. Maybe on those days, Marty takes the other kid and does the same.
Lately, I've been thinking about Marty and Jen having a third child at some point and what that scenario would look like. One thing I know for sure is that they would not have an "M" name.
You'd sent this ask in late September, and I ended up writing two Doctober chapters that include Marty, Jen, the kids, and Doc and Clara! I'll link them in case anyone might be interested :) HERE & HERE
Thanks for the ask!

Do you have any ghosts (cbs) headcanons!?! :3
BOY DO I ... :3
(yes)
(I'm absolutely not using this as an excuse to ramble about Trevor /j)
I have one teeeeny post I made previously right here 🌿🌙‼️
,,,and if you take any amount of time scrolling through my blog, you'll probably find a post about me & Trevor :']]
☆ more under the cut !
Generally
I think with everyone being from different time periods, they'll all have their own opinion on the whole regression thing. Though, I think Hetty would be the only one overtly weirded out by it.
I wouldn't categorize everybody into CG & regressor boxes specifically because of the whole group dynamic. They're a family one way or another!
Kids
I heavily HC Trevor as a flip! In a lot of the story lines centered around him, he deals with his actual bio childhood & and teen to young adult years. He's one of those regressors who will dip in & out of headspaces within seconds when he's emotional. Are you talking to a 6 year old who's upset about being told what to do? A teenager who knows all the words but still can't verbalize his feelings?? A 33 year old who's realizing his life may have not been as great as he thought and now struggles to adjust to new perspectives?! Yes. All of the above.
On a lighter note - I think Sam is super accepting of everything. Finds older Saturday morning cartoons to stream, tries to play games with the kids as best as she can, reads 'em stories, etc. !!
I can also see Flower teaching Hetty a thing or two about honoring and healing her inner child! Letting that little girl, who hadn't learned and didn't understand social customs yet, barrel through the hallways while playing catch - or climb up on counters and furniture just because nobody can tell her no this time !
The rest of the family
Sassapis is the resident bad influence. Especially on Trevor. He's absolutely Trevor's bonus older brother, who teaches him nothing but mischief!
Pete gets delegated to babysitter the most out of everybody. He's qualified...enough! It's not like the kids can cause any actual harm this time around-
Flower seems like a flip to me! More of an age dreamer than a regressor, but she did have friends who regressed while she was alive & has the most experience with it! She also keeps trying to get Thor in on the fun...if only he would stop repressing it >:[
Alberta is really fun for the kids to be around!! She'll tell them stories they've all heard a million times..but who cares! She's so good at performing and acting them out it's always entertaining. She's also a big comfort when things get rough. Somehow knows just what to say or when to scoop somebody up for a hug. Even if she herself isn't very confident about doing things right with the kids.
And..Issac just can't deal with kids. He's one of those people who absolutely does not know how to behave around children, and that extends to his friends. Not that he doesn't like them!! He's just v e r y awkward about it. Don't leave him in a room with someone regressed. He'll cry. /hj
I haven't watched this silly little show in a while but I was fixated on Trevor for a looooong time,, so most of my more specific HCs are for him JSBFEJ

hdjahtejrjdhd I forgor to post the Hyperlaser art I made while on vacation so have this to feed yourself while I struggle with my animation
headcanons and info abt this under the cut :3
okayyy so Phighting x Pokémon crossover has invaded my brain and I started thinking abt what Pokémon each Phighter would have, how it would fit thematically, and how the world around them would change with these new pocket monsters.
first off, I like to think that Pokémon are very heavily influenced by the environment they live in and evolve in. Ex. Pokémon living in Blackrock will get some sort of cold resistant evolution like fluffier coats or thicker skin. their patterns are also influenced by their environment, but to an extent. the Pokémon will keep most base features and colors, but there are typically a lot of variables. think of Pokémon species having genetic diversity inside of their own species like real life Pokémon do. Zebstrika having different stripe patterns, Daschbun differentiating bread and baking types, ghost Pokémon in general taking on different forms, etc.
second off, Phighting Pokémon are definitely treated like they are in the Pokémon universe. some as pets, some as tools, others to dominate the leagues and others just as general help for jobs. Hyperlaser + his Inteleon are the example for this one, read down below.
tbh idk why I thought to do Hyperlaser first, maybe because I already drew Pokémon art with him in it idk
Hyperlaser's wip team:
Liepard
Inteleon
Yamask
1. Liepard is literally just Princess except as a beeg girl, and she was Hyperlaser's first Pokémon. tiny Purrloin approached him and he was like “aw yeah how adorable a kitty cat”.
her patterns and coat as a Liepard were both influenced by Blackrock and Hyperaser himself, Princess' coat becoming thick and fluffy so that she's more comfortable living in Blackrock and the typical oval/petal shaped rings on her coat turning more heart shaped due to Hyperlaser's constant love and affection, we love a good Pokémon owner here fellas!!!
2. Inteleon. Inteleon was given to Hyperlaser as a sort of ‘partner Pokémon’ to work with him and assist in his duties as a sniper. I actually looked through all of the Pokémon with the sniper ability available before choosing Inteleon because overall in both design and themes I feel like Inteleon works the best with Hyperlaser.
Inteleon definitely has more of a snow coat/windbreaker on than the usual tailcoat pattern that normal Inteleon have, but other than that nothing too out of the ordinary. well- for patterns at least. due to evolving inside of Blackrock I like to think that Hyperlaser actually got a sort of ‘Blackrockian Inteleon’ and that his Inteleon developed the ice-typing as well.
3. Yamask. okay so this little fella seems kind of out of place for people that haven't read it's Pokédex entry, but those who have probably understand where I was going with this. Yamask have the face of somebody who was passed away on their mask, and I like to imagine that this Yamask began following Hyperlaser around after the incident which took majority of his horns + face.
Hyperlaser was actively avoiding the Yamask whenever it showed up, but Subspace noticed this and- being the sadistic little prick he is- caught it and forced it onto Hyperlaser's team (context for the drawing that you may or may not have seen long ago).
as for relationship dynamics:
Hyperlaser loves Princess with all of his heart and soul. he is a very very good Pokémon keeper and Princess is his literal pride and joy.
Hyperlaser treats Inteleon like a coworker. he respects the Pokémon and it respects him back and works with him readily on missions. at home Inteleon enjoys cleaning, even though Hyperlaser has said it doesn't need to.
while Hyperlaser is uncomfortable with Yamask around, he makes sure he isn't neglecting it. sure, he doesn't usually mention that it's on his team, but he does ensure that it at least isn't uncomfortable with him.
Princess occasionally feels like Inteleon is her rival when it comes to Hyperlaser's attention, but Inteleon tends to ignore Princess when they're both together. Neither Pokémon like Yamask, but Hyperlaser makes sure that they don't bully it- errr, not on his watch, anyway. Hyperlaser can't leave Yamask alone with either Pokémon.
anywayyyyy thank you for reading to the end!!!! if you saw this have some cookies for the road!!!! 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
#roblox#roblox art#phighting!#phighting art#Hyperlaser#hyperlaser phighting#pokémon#pokemon#liepard#inteleon#yamask#teeehee I might write more about my Phighting x Pokémon universe idrk :]
