i miss the days when "i did too much yesterday and wore myself out so i need to rest today" meant that i'd gone on a hike on a local trail, or walked around by the lake for several hours before driving to ikea and walking around in there as well, or i'd had 3 lectures where i took a fuckton of notes and then went home and crocheted for 5 hours straight. now it means "i walked to campus yesterday, sat around chatting with friends and crocheting a bit for a few hours, and then walked home". like genuinely the amount of difference in what i was able to do even 6 months ago (nevermind a year ago) vs what i'm able to do now is really upsetting

#last year i moved between apartments while horribly sick and also having to walk back and forth to my old place multiple times a week #and then a few weeks later went on a 2 day trip to chicago with my gf where we walked everywhere that was too short for public transit #i think if i had to move apartments now i'd have some sort of pain crisis and then stab myself to make it stop hurting #like i think if things had been more gradual i'd be handling this shit better cuz i'd have time to learn my new limits #but my limits now vs the end of spring are So Fucking Different from each other #there was no time to learn #just 'hm. it takes a bit more force than it should to open this jar' straight to 'OH GOD IM IN FUCKING AGONY AND IT STILL WONT OPEN'#i hate it so much #i was walking to campus 4 days a week (sometimes 5 just to see friends on friday) and perfectly fine to also walk to the store after #i walked to/from campus yesterday and now today i can't stand #i feel like a broken record just going 'goddammit what is happening to my body?' over and over #but like. i can't exactly do much in a week cuz of the pain. so there isn't really much else to talk about!
