As cameras becomes more normalized (Sarah Bernhardt encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use cameras because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by manufacturing companies. I paint not because I want a painting but because I love the process of painting. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.

if i have to explain to you that using a camera to take a picture is not the same as using generative ai to generate an image then you are a fucking moron.

currently thinking about when you let kim know you found out about the pale while he was gone, and that if you tell him its terrifying hes like "so trying to spare you from it was a good idea", or that if you tell him its unreal he says how a lot of things are unreal, or that if you ask him where you are he says they are in elysium, but that all of them involve him comparing the pale to water, death, and "the fact we are all stuck behind our eyes, between our ears, talking for all eternity, like every other human being". and then saying heavy topics are not his forte and acting as if he never said that. you cant just say "heavy topics are not my forte" after dropping that. both the caring and trying to protect harry, and that water, death, and having a mind is terrifying/unreal/just how the world is...

ok but LISTEN billy in the 90s teaching like freshman english riding to school on his motorcycle walking to class in his denim on denim and motorcycle boots and one dangly earring and curly mullet, everyones favorite teacher because he relates to the kids doesnt have a stick up his ass like all the older teachers, old enough to command authority but still young enough to appeal to the Youths.

and hes got one kid in his class who reminds him a little too much of his younger self, is always showing up in a pissed off mood, looks like hes barely slept, doesnt have much variety in his wardrobe, somethings definitely up. but they get along pretty good. sometimes the kid stays in billys class during lunch just to chat or billy lets him catch some sleep that isnt interferring with one of his lessons.

turns out the kids basically living on his own and through a series of events billy takes him in. becomes an older brother figure to him. gives him some guidance, helps him. and the kid helps billy out in his own way. gets far too nosy about his love life and is constantly meddling with billy and his crush on the pretty brunet pe teacher hes always seen talking to in the halls at school

my fav personal headcanon about the demon trio (qbbh, qtina, qmouse) is that yes, they are all demons, but not the same type of demon.

Does anyone remember that post about how a 'tree' isnt a single species, but a shape that lots of plant tend to take? And that we just colloquially call them all trees? I don't know how true this actually is because I'm not a biologist, but I really like this idea.

So i like to think that in the qsmp world, there are demons, but like trees, they aren't all the same. Like each demon species may have a completely different origin but humans call them all demons.

This means that all three of their demon lore can coexist without anyone (me) having to worry about contradictions or anything.

Also it's really fun to think about this from a historical perspective (in the qsmp). Like why would several species all be labeled as demons? Is it just a stand in word for creatures associated with evil? are there specific characteristics they all have in common (eg horns, claws, etc.)? are they just similar enough that the different species just got mistaken as each other (or mistaken as the first-known species of demons)?

idk there are definitely holes in this hc, but it soothes that part of my mind that's constantly trying to make a coherent picture of the qsmp world.
