I KNOW people hate this shit and a lot of people will mentally check out of a story the second it comes up but listen. When they lean in and full-sell it instead of lampshading it like cowards? It can provide the most delicious pain & drama ever, pain I need injected directly into my veins forever on a constantly attached IV drip. (Also I kinda relate to it as a fictionkind person. Like wow… I too forgot everything about myself and had to have my memory jogged from an outside source. Fictionkind gang rise up!!)

EXACTLY. She was emotionally stunted as a child due to her insecurities, and almost certainly dreamed up the "revered princess in a castle" dream for herself at that point, which twisted into a gothic vision of handsome vampire butlers after she became Celeste and entered the gambling underworld. She lives her life as what she believes a mature, sophisticated person is like rather than actually maturing. In USC, we see her interacting on an equal level with literal children the Warriors of Hope, especially Kotoko who admires her and whom she apparently likes to hang out with alongside similarly childish Genocide Jack:

Honestly when you take a second to look past the facade she puts up, Celeste is kinda childish. She tells stories from manga as if they really happened to her. If you want to be friends, you have to let her knight you in some elaborate nobility roleplay. Her idea of success and financial security is literally being a princess in a castle. Part of this fantasy of her ideal life includes being taken care of by servants 24/7.

I'm not saying any of this in a negative way either. I think it's interesting. She's so babey

Just finished the @infamous-if demo and got insanely attached to my wet cat MC so I made her into a PICREW. She is Polly Jenkins

Ball of anxiety and constant stress
