2025 is coming so i let my friend @kayseeye [new agdt mod and assistant!!] clear agdt's askbox

as devastating as it was to see a bunch of creative remarks and asks go down the drain - let's be real, i won't have time to answer them with how linear the story is becoming for ease of access [goodbye 500 asks... though kacey took screenshots of drawings you guys sent in our inbox!!!]

hooowever, there's also another key reason we had to clear the inbox

very long and convoluted psa/ramble about this matter ahead! but also slightly important and i encourage you to read it if you think about using agdt's inbox as a way to vent or share things about your irl troubles

some people treat the blog's inbox as a venting area

it doesn't really make me uncomfortable, it's just something i prefer not seeing. i don't like sharing or being shared personal information especially from an anon or a stranger

this doesn't go for just agdt - it goes for all blogs you interact with: please don't make yourself vulnerable to a stranger on the internet. you are putting yourself in a dangerous spot.

if you need escapism or help, turn to a professional or someone close - going to a stranger can go horribly wrong in two ways: you make them uncomfortable and subject them to a responsibility they never signed up for, or you let someone use your vulnerabilities and personal information against you.

i can probably count like 100 or so asks of people sharing something overly personal and asking for comfort. i don't hate it, i'm not mad, i'm just worried and i hope the people who send them become aware that they should not send those asks knowing that if they're answered, they could be answered publicly with everyone and their mama being able to see that vulnerable moment in that ask.

can't exactly ignore them when it's been almost a year of young impressionable users over sharing to a stranger who answers asks publicly [along with the fact that i hardly see people talk about this matter when it comes to rp/ask blogs.] also so they don't do this to another askblog that has another impressionable youngin running it and publicizes asks that contain personal life info.

we don't add rules to asks on agdt because we can pick and choose which ones we answer. a set of rules isn't going to stop an asshole from breaking them so i'm not wasting my time trying to enforce one. and that's not what i'm trying to do in this post either. i'm putting this out there because i don't want people making the irrational decision of making their life and weakest moments accessible to people who want to use it against them.

i'm not trying to make a big deal out of this either. i can just skip or delete asks that i know i shouldn't answer or won't be able to. but that's my side of responsibility as someone with a platform. i want to make it clear that the audience that decides to interact with these kinds of blogs should be aware that just because you're behind a screen and concealed by an internet persona, that doesn't mean you're any safer from other people using your vulnerabilities against you.

mams gets asked to do a Valentine’s Day photo shoot, which he is more than happy to do,(cuz money) however he REFUSES to shoot with literally any of the other models, the idea of even pretending to be all snuggly with someone else, for pictures that everyone and their mothers will see makes him almost irrationally upset. until eventually his manager is like “omfg fine who do you WANT to shoot with?” And he immediately says that he wants mc. of course it takes a lot of convincing, after all he is asking to have a human be on the front cover of magazines and such. However once someone brings up the fact that they’ll have a natural chemistry that will translate well to the photos, everyone’s down for it in a heart beat.

so, if mammon is successful in convincing mc to come and do the photoshoot, the two will be seeing their faces in store windows and on multiple Valentine’s Day advertisements for strawberry scented perfumes and dumb stuff like that

This is making me feel insane. This interaction only comes up if you keep clicking on Hans after you run into him at the wedding (the first time), but it gives us literally perfect insight into Hans' mental state during the divorce arc.

Like... Hans, baby girl. You left Henry. He literally was ready to push all your insults aside and move on, ready to keep going together, and you pushed him away.

No wonder he did that. No wonder he tried to push that inadequacy onto Henry. It's all at home in deep-rooted, deep-seated insecurity: I'm not good enough for Henry. I'm holding him back. I landed us in the pillory. We only ended up here because I had to run my big mouth, just like he said. I need to do this myself because if not I am only a dead weight to Henry.

I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't running through his head the whole night they spent in the pillory together.

Nikolai and Price going to an evening game of poker with some of Nik's "friends", John sitting with his guard up as he's surrounded by a group of dangerous international criminals, all of them carrying guns, all of them glancing at him with a curious look. Price is uncomfortable but doesn't show it, while Nikolai is awfully relaxed considering the situation.

The evening goes on, drinks, cigars and hearty laughs are shared around the table, the bets reaching numbers Price doesn't even make in half a year. It would be a problem, if he wasn't winning most of the rounds, piles of cash gathering around him as he feels the tension build in the room. One of the younger guys, another russian speaker, starts getting an attitude about it around two hours in, and Nikolai immediately puts him in his place with a single sentence Price doesn't understand, his voice booming, as intimidating as he could be, a heavy silence falling inside the room as the lad with an attitude sits back down, eyes not even daring to look at Nik. The silence is only broken by Nik again, a warm laugh leaving his lips and the other men joining him, their nervousness barely hidden.

It had been so easy for Nik to command the room, and even after the tension had diminished, Price could see how much respect these men had for him, while also clearly being scared shitless of the man. Price had rarely felt more attracted to him as he did at that moment, and the wink and smirk Nikolai gave him when he noticed him looking in his direction absolutely did not help.

John eventually left the table, excusing himself for a moment but squeezing Nik's hand briefly as he got up, moving deeper in the building they were using for their game.

A minute later and it's Nik's turn to excuse himself, quickly finding Price who immediately grabs him by the collar of his open shirt and presses his lips against his, Nik hungrily returning the kiss and pushing John against a nearby wall.

When they return to the table, hair tousled, face flustered, all it takes is one glance from Nikolai to shut the others up. This is his territory, this is where he's comfortable, surrounded by dangerous men who show him respect and never dare to cross him.

It's easy for John to forget how natural this all is for his partner, and if Nikolai brought him here tonight to assert his dominance and show off a little, just so he could impress John, well, that mission sure was a success.

It's Tuesday and I'm feeling violent about the fact that Regina likely gave Emma her own memories of raising Henry. Like, this is just a thing that happened, and yes, they thought they'd never see each other again, but then they do and now they just share a nearly identical set of memories of the past 12 years?? And everyone just moves on from that?

I know we as a fandom go feral about that scene at the town line, because it's so soft, and aww, Regina gifts Emma happy memories (a narrative antithesis to when she gave everyone bad memories, aka the curse), and it IS sweet, but it is also wild?? Like, they weren't even that close at this point, yet Regina, having speedrun falling in love, was like: hey girl, just FYI, I'm gonna give you the best years of my life, hope that's cool. And then Emma forgets about it but Regina doesn't and she just walks through the Enchanted Forest knowing what she did?? And then Emma comes back and she KNOWS TOO? And everyone knows and nobody talks about it?? I'm going crazy

We got a new Minesweeper Streamer in the form of: Technical Difficulties "Pearl" PearlescentMoon finding ways to entertain chat during the PC/MC issues of Feb 25/26!
